will is so fucking intelligent its actually insane. i never realized that he suspected seizure after his first case of sleep walking. immediately after that he's in hannibal kitchen theorizing about physical disease. its so heart breaking to see the way he feels so sure of the problem from the start but lacks the confidence to take action when his support system doesn't see eye to eye with him. how many times in his life has he known something with aching clarity, only to be denied by those around him that doubt, dislike, or infantilize him?

i vote that next year instead of reading Dracula we do a Jeeves & Wooster Book Club. those two never got the rabid tumblr shipping fandom they deserved (disqualified for the sheer technicality of being published a century too soon). we must correct this injustice

seriously though nothing can stop me from interpreting Real Life as canon just for how it progresses the canary curse situation. i'm obsessed with it. the curse gets broken in secret life and then in the very next "series", as much of a joke as it is, you get a situation like THAT. jimmy enters a mineshaft and everyone but him dies. not just his team, though obviously it's more significant because they were all red, but ren/martyn/skizz all get a mineshaft-death apiece. that canary's not doing his job anymore. he escaped his cage and made a break for the surface and everyone else is paying the price for it, and i for one could not be more proud of that little bird.

“I’m here to confess my undying love to you.”

“is that so?” you smile and rest your chin on your palm, elbow on the windowsill. “would you like to enter? through door or through window?”

“dearest lover, would you help me through the window?”

you giggle and take percy’s arms, helping him climb up the expanse of the exterior cabin wall so he can slip inside the warmth of the interior.

once he’s inside you drop his arms, but he’s swift to place them on the skin of your waist from beneath your shirt.

“so, lover.” percy kisses your forehead. “what’re you up to on this fine evening?”

as you speak, his lips trail over your face, each inch and distracting from your thoughts. “just reading a bit.”

“reading?” he pecks your lips. “about what, dear lover?”

“nothing that would excite you, I can guarantee that.” you slide your arms up and over his shoulders, stepping up on your tippy toes to kiss his cheek. “so, are you going to confess your undying love to me, lover?”

percy clears his throat with a dramatic ‘ahem’, kissing your nose. “lover, dearest, dearest lover, I have been deeply in love with you since I first laid my eyes on you. I have never seen such pretty hair.” he kisses your head. “or eyes.” he kisses your eyelids. “or hands.” he takes one of your hands into his, kissing your palm before sliding both your hands back into your original spots. “or lips.”

he ends this with a slow kiss to your mouth, taking his time and savoring your taste before pulling away.

“lover… I have news,” you bite your lip to stifle your giggles as you dramatically place your hand on percy’s chest. “I am also deeply in love with you!”

you let go of your bottom lip, stepping up again and excitedly claiming his lips again.
