I guess Plaidos is doing that thing where she unblocks me to reblog me again lol.
Tumblr media
Accusing me of pretending to be a trans woman is in fact misgendering me. I am a trans woman. I provably have a voice that can only belong to a person AMAB or someone who's tried very hard over a long period of time to masculinize their voice, so if I'm not a 'TMA' person, you must be necessarily be accusing me of being a man, although it would not be any better if you were saying I was any other kinna non-trans woman either, because it's still misgendering to say a trans woman is faking being a trans woman regardless.
You're misgendering a trans woman when you say I'm not a trans woman. You literally said me claiming to be a trans woman is the same as a conservative man making an attack helicopter joke. You can apologize for that at your leisure.
Tumblr media
Extremely conceited. You come up on my blog fairly infrequently, but you have over fifteen times the followers I do and what you say has reverberations in trans discourse, so sometimes I get anons letting me know what new hornet's nest you've kicked off. I don't look at your blog because it makes my skin physically crawl. The fact that you're an Actually Popular Trans Woman on Tumblr, unlike me, means that you're going to get talked about occasionally because every time you say some dumb shit your gaggle of idiots is ready to enthusiastically vomit it at the other minority groups you call slurs.
Sincerely, get the fuck over it, you're either a prominant transfeminist literary analysist or you aren't.
Tumblr media
It's literally a content warning, because you're a hateful and offensive person, but it's wild I should even have to defend that since 'transfeminists' will tag posts hating on me on a regular basis for no particular reason.
If you actually do go through that tag, you'll see that I tend to only ever talk about you in response to people bringing you up first, or in the case of you misgendering me, you talking about me first. The only real exception is that I made two posts about the Dropout discourse you blatantly started for attention, which was (a) still brought to me by anons since I'd not have known you were responsible for that otherwise and (b) a special interest of mine I was really fucking pissed off that you were fucking up with the bullshit that special interest was an escape from.
Tumblr media
I'm not sending anyone to do anything, moron.
Tumblr media
Your vanity is not charming. I've talked about you lately in direct response to you talking about and misgendering me. You are discussing me too dummy.
Tumblr media
I don't think you should be transmisogynistically harassed, but I'm absolutely fucking not responsible for someone with fifteen times the followers I have getting backlash to things like defending a 4chan slur for non-binary people. Like, no, actually, someone taking issue with that is not on me, and considering what you think counts as transmisogyny, I'm not really sure I even buy your characterization of said backlash, especially if they're "directly referencing" anything I say.
Tumblr media
Completely unsupported by your behavior! Do you remember when you were randomly like "if you're wondering what velvetvexations is up to, she's saying you can call trans women hysterical because they don't have uteruses" when that was not what I fucking said?
I've tried making the same "I'll never mention you if you don't mention me" offer to people who obsessively stalk my blog before, including people who I would never talk about anyway because they don't have nearly the same presence on this website. I've asked them to stop screenshotting my blog and lying about me and getting anons sent to my inbox as a result. I've reported them to Tumblr, who doesn't consider it harassment. Each time the people stalking me - which is what they were actually doing to me, unlike me occasionally commenting when someone tells me you've caused some new discourse - was laughed at and told I simply deserve it or bring it upon myself.
Once again, you position yourself as a serious transfeminist activist and you have the following to back it up. You have influence in the conversation around transfeminism and as a trans woman I have a right to talk about it. Tell people to stop parroting your every word, or better yet, entirely stop kicking at trans men and non-binary people literally every day. Like literally every day you do this, it's why I can't look at your blog because it fucking repulses me.
You don't do anything to help trans women. You don't care about trans women. You care about being cruel to other trans people and using that to prop up your own crumbling ego. I would love it if your opinions weren't unfortunately popular and constantly being widely disseminated among others, but like, they are, and it's fucking disastrous for everyone involved. I don't hate you more than any other dumbass radfem.
I've helped TERFs deradicalize and retransition. You will never in your life do a quarter of what I do for transfeminism. The most you will ever accomplish is being an aggressive contrarian who's too unoriginal to come up with headcanons that weren't popular with transmascs first and claiming it a win when you say they're too stupid and shallow to interpret art correctly.

ooh the Dragon Age subreddit decided to make separate spoiler labels for Act 1 spoilers, Act 2 spoilers, and Act 3 spoilers — tumblr is definitely too decentralized for us to make that a thing, but it’s nice to know I won’t have to completely finish the game before checking out posts on Reddit :)

I remember someone on here complaining about how toxic Naruto fandom is. I'm not really active in Naruto fandom since I run a Christian blog but seeing how many different possible ships there is in the series and your fave ship not being canon, I can see how that can happen.
I can't help but think that maybe shipping non-canon ships is due to how people tend to see friendships as somehow lower and less significant than romantic relationships. So when one character does something nice to another, we automatically assume that they'll become a couple rather than seeing it as deepening their friendship going beyond acquaintances.
But a kind gesture doesn't have to lead to romance in order for it to be meaningful.
Tho back then, I use to ship Neji and Tenten so I am somewhat contradicting myself here lol. But looking back, I think one reason I got into that ship was because Neji is a tsundere kind of guy and I'm always a sucker for seeing that type having a soft side and falling in love lol
But in getting back into the series this time around, I'm not as emotionally invested in them anymore.

i liked that new doctor who ep (much better than it's been in a LONG time) but it was hilariously neo-liberal in a way where you can tell the writers think they're being progressive. like why the fuck are you asking an alien it's preferred pronouns 😭😭😭😭 surely the vast majority of aliens must come from planets/worlds where gender either never existed or has been eradicated. gender isn't naturally occurring! it's an axis of oppression that only exists in patriarchal societies! why would aliens have it when animals don't?!?!?!

The thing about arya fans' argument that arya comes before sansa in the line of succession because robb disinherited her because of her forced marriage is the underlying misogyny and victim blaming of it, and their assumption that grrm thinks the same. We don't have jon [you know the actual person robb chose over sansa, and i think its time we start talking that the will specifically was about sansa and jon and that shit means something narratively] asserting that winterfell belongs to sansa despite everything and him not falling to the bait of stannis calling her a lannister, to just assume that according to grrm what robb did was OK. If people actually think grrm wants to show robb was right and girls truly are not important and thus his disinheritance of his sister's rights will be upheld, then they need their heads checked. Its not like he showed us that jaehaerys's sexism was what led to death of the dragons and downfall of targaryens even though grrm considers him a good ruler. Ultimately, catelyn will be validated when brienne saves either sansa or arya with oathkeeper and sansa will become lady of winterfell/qitn DESPITE robb's will. He [and arya fans] can suck it.
Hi soulmate anon,
Before we start, I have to let you know that one our previous posts was screenshotted and circulated in the arya stans circles because “we’re spreading our agenda on a neutral public platform” or something along those lines. Idk if you’ve seen that or not but I had to let you know before we go off kicking another hornet’s nest lol.
Anyway, that out of the way, to the Arya stans who are so hellbent upon removing Sansa from the Stark succession, Robb declared Jon as his heir, pushing Sansa further down the line (not disinheriting her jesus fuck) because through her Tyrion may lay claim to Winterfell, landing it in the hands of the Lannisters, exactly what Robb and Cat are trying to prevent. Robb didn’t “disinherit” Arya because he thought she was dead. Hope that helps.
WAIT!
the will being specifically about Jon and Sansa and that we need to start thinking about that narratively
SCREAM
Tumblr media
Okay, I have now moved on (I have not). Though please feel free to talk about this more, I wanna know more. Guess I’ll now have to add jonsa tag to this answer hehe :P
I mean Robb did come from a place of “authority over the female members of his family” here with the will and that’s exactly the kind of thing we have to side eye. Taking it at face value and uncritically thinking about it is not a fair way to engage with the text I feel. You’re right when Jon himself reiterates Sansa’s claim over Winterfell, we are supposed to think twice whether Robb’s action was equitable or not. Stannis calls Sansa “Lady Lannister” to coax Jon into staking a claim over Winterfell so that Stannis gets a good reason to march to Winterfell and attack the Boltons (which he will anyway, but Jon’s, a member of the Stark family, support would mean political backing and reason). If we fall in the trap that Stannis thinks Sansa is now a Lannister, and therefore she is now a Lannister with no claim to Winterfell, then we’ve lost the plot and are coming from the same misogynistic hypocrisy (he wants Shireen on the throne if he dies but calls Sansa a Lannister, how does that work old man?) that destroys Westeros (your Jaehaerys example). And are no different from a crusty medieval era middle aged man btw.
It’s so fucking funny when the readers start emulating the same sexism that the author wants them to critique, and then start calling themselves feminists because they’re supporting a woman’s rights! Which woman’s rights besties? Because the one that clearly has them, you’re actively against her staking her claim. Wait till they read the books with their eyes open and realise that Arya comes at the end of the heirs to winterfell list, despite Sansa getting “disinherited” lmao. And I love Robb, he’s just a boy trying to do his best, but he truly made mistakes, especially with not listening to Catelyn. We also cannot deny the undercurrent of misogyny and chauvinism that Robb demonstrated with the will. Re Sansa’s rights and Jon’s decision to be with the Nights Watch. I will patiently wait for Catelyn to be validated and Sansa to be the Lady/QiTN not only because that subverts reader’s expectations and Westerosi patriarchal standards but because I want to see Sansa antis have a grand old meltdown.

fic author q&a <3
tagged (kinda but i wanted to join bc it looked fun lol) by @zannolin the beloved
why do you write fanfic?
because it's so so so much fun. because i think about the characters too much to just not Do anything with them, you know?
but mostly, it's a case of, "I'm writing this because I want to read this."
which of your posted stories do you think of the most even though the story is "finished"?
i mean, technically, passerine because I have a copy of it sitting above my study desk so every time I look up I think "oh damn yeah i wrote that. insane"
but, creatively, i think about the challengers series a lot because i feel like i have one more story out of me for it but i just don't know What yet
if you could give yourself fic advice from when you first started writing fic, what would that advice be?
hmmmm i don't think i have any because my relationship with fic writing now is the same as my relationship to fic writing then. it's all just fun :)
what's your relationship to fic stats?
eh i don't really care about them. i generally don't look at kudos and hits. but comments and the little notes people put on bookmarks? now Those i will refresh for every time
is there a pairing or scenario or friendship that you miss writing? if so, why? if not, why not?
how do i answer this without kicking at a hornet's nest. i guess if you know, you know. That Era really was a great time to be alive as a genfic writer. unfortunately, *waves vaguely*
what motivates you to write?
the fact that when you finish writing, you get to read it. and it's tailor-made for you, with everything you want from a fic, because YOU put it all there!! it's like serving yourself a plate of eggs done just how you like them
also, i look forward to comments every time just to know i'm not the only one going insane over it lol
why do you write for the fandom(s) you write for?
no other reason than i want to, i guess. i love the story. i want to expand on it. and that's how the insanity starts, baby
if you're stuck writing a WIP, what do you do?
just put it down. inspiration will find me eventually. i'm not in any rush :)
what do you wish people knew about comments?
when you quote the exact lines that made you feel something. THAT. that could be your entire comment and i'd still be twirling my feet kicking my hair. genuinely when people quote my lines in their comments AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA <- me going crazy
maybe there's a question you wish had been on here. what's that question (and answer)?
The line you're most proud of.
"... to be able to love something enough to also love what grew from its ruins," is still so beloved by me because it was genuinely something i'd felt in my personal life for so long but could only put into words when i was writing it for the fic. it was a lightning bolt of an epiphany that wouldn't have been possible if i hadn't been writing. writing fic saves lives, folks!
tagging literally anyone who sees this because i want to pick at everyone's brain

last i’m posting about this xoxo sorry about the watcher spam recently but i feel the need to put my 2 cents in since my opinion on this doesn’t align with the vocal majority on this site
gotta admit my first youtuber drama experience was a 0/10 not because of what the creators did but solely because of the insanity of the fandom. because…wow. i have never seen a group of people throw around demands and accusations of betrayal in such a dramatic way lol. maybe i’m in the minority here but i felt the majority of responses and criticism just were any lacking basis at all.
my first thoughts with the announcement were literally “oh good for them new streaming service, i won’t be going for it, but maybe after a few months i’ll consider paying for a 1-time sub to catch up on everything”. sure some disappointment i wouldn’t get regular updates but overall excited for the new content this pay structure would give them the flexibility to create.
maybe because i didn’t get into youtubers until the pandemic when watcher was already it’s own independent thing i don’t have that same (*cough cough* parasocial) level of connection, just really enjoy the videos they put out. maybe because i go through subscription-of-the-month stints of paying for a patreon or twitch or other creator channel and rotate what i watch, this didn’t feel outrageous to me. i hate the subscription world we live in so i go out of my way to never pay more than a strict budget limit per month because that’s my ability and that’s my mentality on this. i thought at best maybe i’d consider rotating this in when they put out more.
don’t like the idea of it? you don’t have to pay for it. can’t afford it? i understand the disappointment from this aspect but creators don’t actually owe you anything for free - even if it was free in the past. overall and for whatever reasoning you have: it wasn’t that deep.
if anything i am in a way thankful that they rescinded on their decision because that means me & others will continue to enjoy videos for free. but overall i’m disappointed that this means they’re sacrificing their own creative wants and financial needs of whatever they had planned. we won’t actually know the extent of what, if anything, this prevents them from creating because y’all wouldn’t even let them attempt to try this next phase out.
fans saying “well we don’t want high-budget content” well maybe they want to explore more than what they’re currently able to do? maybe they want to create more beyond their buzzfeed-format videos they know will rack in views from the nostalgia-obsessed side of the fans? i, too, personally love their humor and would just enjoy them chatting and being silly, but i do also think this holds them back. remember those hilarious self-made commercials from their most recent videos? that's probably just a glimpse of what new flavors of content they’re able to think up.
this whole fan response was just disappointing (and pretty scary ngl) to me, and i know saying that is like kicking a hornets nest but i really think if they continued with the plans from their original announcement it would have been ok. i actually think it would have been more than ok! but the response imploded so hard i’m sure we’ll never see them try something new again lol.
my personal thoughts are that if your opinion in any way revolved around something they “owe” to fans, feelings of “betrayal”, thinking they’re “sell outs” for wanting to transition to paid content - i think you really need to take a step back and reflect, and i mean that with zero malice. watcher is a business, not your friends, not “the boys”, not your guaranteed source of a specific type of content either. ultimately they made a business decision that they thought would help them grow that would have either succeeded or failed, that's it. for better or worse, we wont get to watch that play out.
i will continue my quiet enjoyment of their videos, and happily move on past what i frankly think was the most unnecessary internet drama i’ve seen in a minute lol. the takes overall were dumb but tame, i only blocked a handful of accounts for posting things i thought were totally out of line that i won't get into but i'm sure you've either seen or heard people discussing.
i didn't even get in to my hot takes lol like how this plays into the dangerous trend of the expectation of art to be free....and the overall devaluing of creatives and why AI is thriving in these areas...but ill defend that thesis another day lol. y'all aren't ready for that.

January 2025 - Reading & Media Logging
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Thought I'd try and get some thoughts down about what I read/watch/listen to each month! We'll see if I keep it up throughout the year... thoughts under the cut!
What I Read:
This was a pretty light reading month, honestly. I've been so swamped with work and just feeling pretty overwhelmed and anxious in general, and it's had a negative impact on my reading time. I'm pretty far into 3 or 4 books right now so I think early February will have a lot of finished volumes, hopefully!
Maurice by EM Forster: Finished this on New Year's Day I think, so it counts! Really glad I read this, it was a surprisingly moving emotional experience, especially given when it was written and its publication history.
Paladin's Hope by T. Kingfisher: Well, nobody can say I didn't give this series a fair shake. I tried three books, but unfortunately it's time for me to bow out now. It's a bummer because I do like the world-building of this series, like I think the setting is intriguing and I would love to spend more time in the world, but... the characters are just too stick-figure-y for me, they just don't feel like real people at all, and the romances are very... tepid and don't give me any feels? If I'm reading romance I need the feels lol. I actually had the thought that I'd rather read like, mystery novels or straight-up fantasy adventure without the romance being the focus, in this setting. Because then the characters being pretty 2-dimensional and same-y wouldn't matter as much, because their emotional centers wouldn't be like... the purported main purpose of the text, as it has to be if it's romance. I also think they're just poorly written enough that it's hard for me to overlook other sins. Ah well.
Go Tell it On the Mountain by James Baldwin: obviously Baldwin is a genius and his stuff is always really moving! I hadn't read what is probably his most known work before, and it was an interesting experience - it felt kind of dense and impenetrable in some ways, but also really affecting in others. I feel like I can tell it's an earlier novel from him, where he's really working out some of his foundational thoughts socially and politically. Definitely glad I finally got around to reading it.
The Pickwick Papers by Charles Dickens: Only recommend if you're a big ol' Dickens fan and you want to check out everything he's written - it's definitely not strong as a novel, it's very episodic and repetitive. But there's that quote about Dickens, that he has bad architecture but good gargoyles, and that was definitely true here. Sam Weller in particular stands out as an all-time Dickens character for me, I love love loved him. I legitimately wonder if Samwise Gamgee is based on him at all.
The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest by Stieg Larsson: completed my re-read of this trilogy! These books are oddly compelling for a reason I can't quite quantify, I think for this one it was just super satisfying to see the good guys successfully dismantle all these evil conspiracies, they got that fantasy of being able to pull a fast one over the villains and totally drop the mic on them lol. Plus I love how just... unapologetically queer these books are in certain ways? Berger and her husband and their non-monogamous bisexual BDSM stuff, and then Lisbeth and Miriam... it's just cool how casually integrated that stuff is.
Blood of Empire by Brian McClellan: A straight over the plate, nothing fancy, nothing to write home about but nothing to complain about fantasy series! I really enjoyed making my way through this sequel trilogy. Not a ton to say, but I think for this last book the highlight is Bo and Nila slutting it up with all of Vlora's soldiers while she's having a mental breakdown. Great stuff, no notes.
What I Watched:
Outlander season 7 started back last year but the last couple episodes aired in January! I've already written reviews that are posted here going into detail, but broadly speaking I'd say that this show has had a gradual dip in quality over the years, I think partly in response to the books getting bigger and more meander-y and just less coherent as novels? So. Can't blame the show too much for that. All the stuff that makes me like Outlander for the messy, juicy, melodrama that it is, were still present this season though. I got fed WELL with all the John Grey material, lemme tell ya.
Critical Role, Bells Hells: Obviously I'm always watching whatever CR is putting out, but I wanted to do a shout-out on Bells Hells because the campaign finale episode is airing NEXT WEEK! This campaign has been far more controversial than the first two, it seems, and I'll just toss my two cents in and say that I really love it. I've seen some of the fandom criticism and it's an interesting experience for me because I can't exactly disagree with most of the points people are making, but for me most of the issues people have been listing, are features, not bugs, to my mind? Idk, I won't get into the weeds with it but I guess this experience has taught me that what I'm looking for from CR is not the same thing a lot of other people are. I love that these campaigns break the rules of narrative structure in ways that can sometimes feel uncomfortable or alienating. I think almost everything that's being said about BH could be said about M9, tbh, and there was far less of a backlash against it. Ah, well. Point is, I'm still having a great time and I'm SUPER looking forward to seeing the epic 8.5 hour finale episode next week.
Dropout Content: I've been having such a bad mental health month and work has been crazy and my brain has been having more trouble than usual processing new content, so I've been revisiting a lot of Dropout stuff, rewatching eps of Make Some Noise and Game Changer, and enjoying the new shows like Gastronauts and Nobody Asked. This has become quintessential comfort TV for me, I'll watch pretty much whatever these people decide to make. I've gotta get back to watching Dimension 20 though, I go through feasts and droughts with my binging of seasons. I was part way through Mice and Murder but I fell off of it... maybe I'll hop back on in February!
What I Listened To:
Epic: The Musical. Okay. So. One of the other reasons why I think my reading time was down this month is that my brain was eaten by worms and my whole personality was turned into Epic: The Musical? I am not that which I once was. I've been listening through this entire 2 hour and 20 minute album like... daily. For weeks. I cannot stop. I have been doing a lot of thinking about why this grabbed me the way it did, because I'm always fascinated in why certain things grab my attention and activate a hyperfixation, when others don't. Honestly, for the most part it's inexplicable; the stars have to be aligned or whatever. I needed something to listen to, to just buckle down and get through this huge amount of work at both my jobs, and this was what accompanied me through a couple of really bad weeks. Here's my pitch for why it's a good musical: catchy songs, complex and really well-constructed as a work of musical composition, awesome production quality, and a voice cast that's honestly so fucking stellar it blows the mind? If you're just like "yeah, I like listening to fun songs sung by people who are very good at singing" then like... I recommend it for that alone. But as for why I think this musical is not just good, but truly great, at least for my interests? Well, I think it's three big things:
This is an adaptation of a source material from nearly 3,000 years ago. I am fascinated by adaptations of ancient texts or even just like... "pretty old" texts - what concerns did the text grapple with in its original context, and what does this adaptation choose to focus on, how are different threads pulled depending on who's adapting it and when. It's the closest thing I have in my life to a truly spiritual practice, thinking about humans who lived so long ago that they could never have imagined the world today, sharing the same story I'm sharing today. Thinking about listening to this musical, and having this emotionally cathartic response to Odysseus reuniting with his wife Penelope after 20 years of separation, and knowing that millennia ago, ostensibly people sat and listened to this same story told in song, and had an emotionally cathartic experience about the same thing. It feels very special to me. Plus, like, I had a Greek mythology phase as a kid like I think a lot of us did, and this musical totally awakened that slumbering fascination, which is fun.
The compositional complexity of the text as a concept album. Jorge Rivera-Herrans is a young guy, he's in his mid-twenties and he started this project 4-ish years ago I believe. It makes me so hyped to think of the long life of creating art he has ahead of him, because this is... some good, good shit. Not just good for someone his age. It's good, period. The musical serves as something of a puzzle-box for those people who are interested in dissecting leitmotif and musical themes. This is one of the most intricately woven works of music I've ever encountered as a musical theatre fan, if I'm being honest. I'm still catching new threads every time I listen; the care with which it was constructed makes it feel truly worthy of closer attention and study. There's a pleasurable effort in unraveling all the ways the songs interact with one another. It works on the level of just being fun songs to listen to, but if you like it enough to want to slow down and pay attention, there's a whole world waiting there for you to notice.
The manner of how it was produced - a TikTok-y musical for the kids these days... basically, Jorge marketed this musical through social media. He released it in chunks over time, he released snippets of songs, demos of himself singing, he auditioned the vast majority of the cast by asking them to duet his TikToks and thus found the right voices for each character. He released videos explaining his process of composing, and going into the hidden motifs and connections. It was a brilliant bit of marketing, but it also hits on one of the most special parts of the musical and the fandom surrounding it: you get to see the creative process and the final product side by side. It's kind of the same thing I like about TTRPG shows, where you watch the art being made, and the art, all at once. Being able to go back and see Jorge singing a demo of a song in 2021, and then seeing his video asking people to audition, and then hearing the final release, and then getting a behind-the-scene video where he picks apart the choices he made in composition, it's like getting to see inside the machinery of construction. It's iterative and it's community-focused and it's the best of what social media can do, a reminder that it's not actually ALL bad. Plus, all the fan-made animatics are so cool... there are enough of them that you can actually "watch" this concept album from start to finish with visuals created by a whole host of talented artists.
So... yeah, I knew I'd talk about Epic for too long but that's where my brain is at right now. I'll be curious if by the end of February this hyper-fixation has started to fade, or if there's anything else that comes along to replace it!
This was fun, to reflect on what I've been watching and reading this month!

But-That's-Its-Own-Love-Story's
Hall(f/)oween Trick-(f/)or-Treat etc
Hi everyone. For a number of reasons I haven't really been active for a couple of months now; I promise I'm not going anywhere, but sometimes lurking is all I have time or energy for. And that's fair enough, but I really appreciate you all, so tonight in honor of Halloween I'm tearing myself away from the clingy grasp of my cuddly F/O's and breaking the rules again...
For a limited time, anyone who reblogs this post will receive a drawing of your F/O wearing a costume you pick out for them.
Reblog this post with:
-Reference image(s) of your F/O
-Reference image(s) of a costume for them
Optional:
-Name/reference image of your (or your F/O's) favorite candy or preferred Halloween knick-knack (plastic vampire teeth, sticky hand thingy, etc)
-Name/nickname/pet name/etc of your S/I
-Pose reference, if you've got something in mind. Not making any promises on how it'll turn out but I'll give it a shot etc
Rules:
-You don't have to be following me. This isn't a promo, and if you're like me and your selfship blog is a sideblog that wouldn't really work out too well anyway
-One F/O per reblog; one reblog per blog. I don't have a ton of followers but if this breaks containment I don't want to get overrun etc
-Your F/O can be romantic, platonic, familial, etc. While it won't matter much for what I have in mind, if your F/O is not romantic, please specify just in case
-Costume references can be stock Halloween costumes (like example photos from a costume store) or cosplays (i.e. another character's outfit; in this case please specify which is the F/O and which is the costume etc)
-Sexy costumes = OK (I might be kicking a hornet's nest with this one, but I'm already breaking my own rules by posting anything I draw online. If for some reason you pick something too explicit for me to post, you get the Censorship Nettie)
-Furries/Robots/Nonhuman F/O's = OK (I'll give anything a go as long as I have references)
-OC F/O's = OK (I mean all my F/O's are OC's so it's only fair. Again, as long as you give me enough references. If I can't look up the character I can only work with what you give me etc)
Disclaimers:
-I'm not a professional, but even by my standards I make no guarantees of quality for this one
-Level of detail may range from a quick sketch to as intense as my executive function will allow, depending on how into a particular drawing I get. (The trade-off is that if it's more complicated it'll take longer etc)
-Not sure how many of these I'm gonna get, but if it turns out to be an avalanche gimme like a week lol (I'm gonna do some tonight, and I'll keep going until I get through them all etc)
-I can't imagine a scenario where someone picks a character I won't draw a halloween drawing of, but my apologies in advance if someone does manage to pull it off
-I'll leave reblogs on for several hours; if you can still reblog the post, it's still open
-Just because I haven't stated it anywhere else, all drawings, regardless of complexity or any extra effort I decide to put in at my own discretion are absolutely free

KTHN - Common Mistakes 2
Number One. camera tapes? Surprisingly expensive, given how vintage they are. No one has that much memory on their phone. Do not give Apple your money to film this. It's not worth it. Besides, who the hell still has working handheld video cameras in 2024?? Point is, You don't need "proof" because you don't need to "prove" shit to anyone. There will always be those of us out here in the dark of night ready to hear your stories and support them. That's why I started this blog, reader, to hear your stories and to try to save who I can while I still can. Next, let's talk about the obvious, will just list them off fast in bullet points. If you need these explained, message me or ask away in the replies and I'll get straight on it. -Do not look the faceless guy in the face. It’s just… really bad for you. You will get sick or hurt. I’m sorry. It’s just common sense. -Do not invoke HIS name and ask for help. He's not going to help you, and he might have answers but the cost of those answers aren't worth the price Evan and his friends paid. That would be considered kicking the hornet’s nest, and it is not something you want to do. I did and I’m suffering for it.-While I have no evidence of any entities from other countries, do not assume you are safe and this is just an America problem. The Operator/The Administrator was a German based mythos before he was spotted anywhere else. Most entities, including but not limited to The Operator, can travel through interdimensional spacetime. An ocean will not stop them. -If you have questions about any of the known proxies, ask and I'll try to answer, the two I'm most familiar with are Kate, and Patrick (who I'm not convinced actually works for 'Stick-in-the-mud', seeming to co-exist tangentially alongside him, much like HABIT.) (Is it typed with all caps? Have we all agreed on this?) There are other lesser known individuals who work tangentially to The Operator but I'm not clear on the details. -Calling him by his name will not inherently doom you. The internet made him a joke for a reason. Stopping the spread by ignoring it rarely works, so all you can do is laugh about it. - on that note: Just avoid the entire east coast lol (obviously this is a joke. if you live in the east coast i'm sorry, it's too late for you lmao) -While he is commonly associated with biblical imagery, I believe this to convey his age and how long he's been recorded existing for, rather then actually being some form of 'god'. Then again, humans sure like slapping the word god on anything bigger then them that they don't understand sheerly because a being has power. -The knife was never recovered, nor was it ever successfully used, and as far as I know no one else has attempted to complete what HABIT and Vinnie started. -and finally, for now, do not just start telling everyone you know what you saw, unless you genuinely truly think they will: A) believe you, and B) be able to help. (i.e. through public spaces, and company, not that they can truly help you.) Now that that’s dealt with. I think the next order of business is to discuss symptoms! Be ready for that, because hoo boy, that’s gonna be a long one. I might have to start breaking these up into multiple parts just to post them. When did Tumblr start limiting post lengths?

Honestly, the st*cky/Team Cap, side of the MCU fandom are SUCH yt Americans filled with American exceptionalism (that they’ve deluded themselves is somehow moral and progressive) I can see them doing a jan 6 if they had like, any ability to do anything but be annoying
(stuck as a ship was like the prototypical 100% were u queerbaited or did you just ship it? question they have never asked themselves lol. At least most other MCU ships were based on actual chemistry not a story that ended up being about Steve wanting to save the last piece of his old life who he then immediately abandoned to actually go return to said old life, didn’t even take bcuk just noped out of there, so much for devotion lololol turns out Steve did it all for mental a pathological inability to let go and move on it was never even bout buck as like a person it was about Steve’s untreated PTSD lol)
((I’m being mean because stickies are SUCH assholes, it would be an ok ship but fuuucccckkkkk they suck);
no LITERALLY
ship and let ship but don't be an asshole about it
also i have Thoughts about the way bucky was written especially in relation to steve but that's another post and i do not feel like kicking the hornet's nest

“it will never calm down because Brandi doesn't like to be ignored. That's why she mentioned Whisper's real name. She knew that would kick the hornet's nest again. She's proven this time and time before. She is terrified of irrelevancy, even if it means her name is being torn to shreds.”
i agree with this. even when it quieted down with the mgsquad (lol) she would post anons shitting on them and then go “i just post what they say, i didn’t say anything” knowing well enough that it would cause some reaction. im just happy people are now seeing her true colours. she’s worse than i thought.

rewatched the original godzilla, then went to see godzilla minus one. one of the absolute best remakes i've ever seen, without a doubt. just a solid and phenomenal movie, all around. shot for shot remake, expanding themes and better developing them. 10/10.
imperial japan was absolutely ruthless. i know i know nazi's bad, but holy hell the imperial japan was FUCKING VICIOUS across southeast asia. it's constantly ignored because they became the usa's closest ally in the pacific. and then, imperial japan just looked at its populace as numbers and said fuck it YOU DIE, YOU DIE, YOU DIE - FOR THE GREATER GOOOOOOD. the movie touched on this very well.
the movie captures post-imperial japan in a big way. the post-war reckoning, trauma, etc. godzilla being a stand-in for the mindless destructive capacity of nukes, on and on.
i was randomly reading about pearl harbor last week. seriously... i don't know what the fuck those idiot state planner in imperial japan were thinking. they weren't, clearly. what an absolute strategic blunder. just suicide all around.
the goal was the cripple the usa's navy in the pacific to buy time to establish a better defensive front and strategic control of the west pacific. the PRIMARY GOAL was to sink the usa's aircraft carriers.
THE NUMBSKULLS DIDN'T SINK A SINGLE ONE. THEY WEREN'T EVEN FUCKING THERE.
all it did was piss the usa off, make the usa hyper-racist against japanese people, and made the usa enter the war. it's like kicking a hornet's nest but you're naked, tied up, and allergic to bees.
like did the fascist state planner idiots really think they'd outlast the usa in the pacific? usa was a world power, arguable the industrial center of the world, etc. what the fuck was imperial japan? a tiny island nation with some industry and barely any natural resources. LOL GOOD LUCK YOU DUMB FASCIST CUNTS.
i've said it before and it merits repeating. the nukes were genocide. the surrender terms offered and accepted were the same before, during, and after the nukes. having said that, fascist governments are so fucking stupid and literally can't do anything effectively except kill their own populace.

so do you genuinely think all of his best friends agreed to not post him just Because? / I know this has been discussed before but I think it's a combination of things. I do think he encourages his friends not to post as much now but for their benefit not his. I think they don't post him because of the harassment they get from fans when they do. To me that, more than Seb asking not to be posted, is why they don't anymore. Look at the Greece trip. Most of the pics we got of him were from people who were new to posting him like Sasha. She had no idea what a hornets nest she kicked by posting him.
Lol yes this makes sense
This is why will said noooope and quickly deleted that video, not because he want to bait
