Fun facts about my TWST prefect, Rosalie

No real story here. I just wanted to share some facts about the girl you'll see in some stories I write. Also, I am a HUGE OC yapper so if you're ever curious, feel free to ask in the ask box! :D

1.) She's had her pink hair since she was 15 but she often used box dye much to Vil's horror. She also cuts her pixie cut herself too but originally (and much to Vil and Crewel's horror) she used kitchen scissors to get it and later school scissors. Thankfully Vil and Crewel HEAVILY drilled in the importance of proper hair care and they gave her a razor and barber sheers.

2.) Her original design looked a lot different and she was originally supposed to have more of a timid personality. I ended up going with a more boyish design so she wouldn't get detected considering that NRC is an all-boys school (No shame to anyone who has a more girly design for their OCs or Prefects. It's just a personal preference of mine and I just get super stubborn about canon details and what would work for her)

This was her prototype design (Like a lot of characters, I used a Picrew for the design). Some things remained the same like her pink hair, olive eyes, her round glasses, and her beauty mark near the corner of her eye but she is definitely a far cry from her original design. No lie, she looked really cute with it but she's definitely the OC that went through A LOT of changes both in looks and in personality. I do think Canon!Ro would definitely want to befriend her but Proto!Ro would be terrified of her.

3.) Both in English and in Japanese, her voice HC has always been Doll from Black Butler. Matter of fact, I always imagined Rosalie with a very heavy Cockney accent that would slip out whenever she would get angry, or whenever she's around her brothers, sister, or her old caretaker. Whenever she's talking with friends or speaking a little quicker than normal, you can hear her drop her common RP accent she had to learn and you can hear the little traces of her actual accent slip through.

4.) She's a composite character so there isn't really a certain Disney character that she was based on. I will say though, Haruhi Fujioka, OG Mickey Mouse (the shorts where he's a chaos gremlin), Mary Poppins, and Thomas O'Malley were big inspirations for her personality.

5.) Minus Grim, Ace was actually the first person to figure out her gender followed by Deuce and Malleus. Ace and Deuce were completely by accident (during the Heartslabyul sleepover in book 1, Ace walked in on her changing and Deuce followed suit after hearing them screaming) while with Malleus, she was the one who slipped out her real voice and he heard her in Ramshackle's garden in Book 2 (curse the fact that fae have better hearing!).

6). Rosalie has been dancing ballet since she was a little kid but quit taking classes when she was 15 do to schooling reasons. The style she does is a bit more on par with Russian style due to her teacher being from there. She still has a bunch of spare pairs of pointe shoes and she always makes sure to practice as well as do her stretches to keep her body well-conditioned.

7.) Originally, Rosalie never had much of an interest in photography but playing around with the ghost camera fueled her interest in it. Of course, Rook was always happy to give her tips to help with getting the right angle and waiting for the proper moment. Now she acts as the school newspaper's photographer. Her favorite subjects to photograph are her dorm, abandoned ruins whenever Malleus takes her on night walks, and Grim when he's in a food coma.

8.) Her brothers are based off of Scat Cat and his band from The Aristocats. The five of them are also in a jazz band as well and Ro herself learned to play the trumpet from the ringleader of the gang, Sergei (unfortunately, I don't have artwork of any of them! 😭). Their names are as follows, Sergei, Jamie, Alfie, Jialun, and Misha.

9.) Aside from the first years and Diasomnia, Rosalie also has a pretty strong bond with Vil, Rook, and Azul. Vil often gave her tips to care for her hair, skin, and health especially since he found out that she's a ballet dancer. Rook bonded with her through trying to hone her skills in photography. As for Azul (despite the very odd friendship they have and the fact that he repoed her dorm in book 3) he would sometimes see Rosalie studying in the lounge while she's having tea but due to merfolk's love of music, they would recommend each other music since they're both fans of jazz and they both listen to a wide variety of music.

10.) Some of Rosalie's favorite dishes (especially her favorite, bulalo) are from The Philippines. While she herself isn't Filipino, the woman who looked after her since she was a child is half-Filipino and before the O'Malleys adopted her, she gave her a notebook containing all of her recipes so she could make them herself.

11.) Her original surname before being adopted by her first family was "Bess" (her bio mother's surname). She unfortunately went through five more last names before the O'Malleys became her forever home.

12.) Speaking of her mother, her bio mother was twisted from Edgar Balthazar. Only, thing is that I did make her a lot more arrogant and greedy compared to him especially when her ex-boyfriend (twisted from Madame Adelaide) gave his daughter all of his inheritance when it comes time for him to pass away.

13.) I actually NEVER intended for her and Malleus to be a couple and I originally just had them be close friends. Still, whether it was through events or the canon story, I really loved the dynamic Malleus and the MC had. What's also funny is that her sister met the same fate when I began shipping her with a certain con-man fox. Although alternate partners I thought of for Ro were Sebek and Ace.

14.) If you were to ask her about her gender identity, she has a very "eh" opinion of gender as a whole and feels like anyone should present themselves in a way that feels comfortable, but she's always viewed herself as a cisgender girl. Although, due to her rather boyish looks, she does sometimes get mistaken for a guy but she just shrugs it off.

15.) As for her attraction, she's on the AroAce spectrum. More on the grey sides for both but unsure of the proper microlabel. Malleus was the first (and in the future only) person she's ever felt any romantic affection towards.

16.) Out of all of the teachers, she trusts Professor Trein the most while Crowley, the least (especially after the events of Book 4 and all the times he made her do his dirty work while trying to survive in the musty, dusty, dilapidated dorm that HE placed her in!)

17. Although if there is one thing she's glad the headmage did for her even if it was to save his ass from a scandal of accidentally summoning a girl into an all-boys school, it was to prepare ALL the stops so make sure she's never found out by the entire school as well as give her special "care packages" every month. Thank goodness Trein's a single father and knows about what it's like dealing with teenage girls...

18. Rosalie is a MASSIVE fan of thrifting and antiquing. Back when she was still in Second Star (the first foster home she stayed in), clothes from charity shops were all that she could afford but she likes mixing and matching different styles and patterns to make something her own. I would say the decades she dresses the most often are the 60s (mostly taking a bit of inspiration from the Teddy Boy subculture), 70s, 80s, and early to mid 90s as well as copying some of the makeup styles from those eras. Matter of fact, one the thing she wants to do with Vil is take him thrift shopping in the rich neighborhoods since you can get some amazing authentic pieces there.

19. Ro can actually see somewhat okay without her glasses but it's not as good compared to when she has them on. I'd say her vision is around 20/40

20. Grim is definitely the person she cares about the most (as much as she lovingly refers to him as a stinky cat and playfully pokes fun at him) but as much as Grim often gets her into trouble, she really developed a huge soft spot for him and same could be said with him. It was to the point where even the thought of being without him or him being taken away again is enough to keep her awake at night.

Just for fun, I'm gonna show off my human designs for the Vessels and break them down... but I can't draw for shit, so, like the Slay the Professor Voices, this is gonna be in Picrew format.

So, I've said this before, but when I make Beast a human, I always feel like the only way I can still capture her vibes is to make her a kid, or at least a preteen---a younger sister or a daughter of one of the other Vessels, usually Witch. She reads to me as that feral, weird little girl who digs holes with her fingernails on the playground, bites other kids, and almost always has a scraped knee or tiny cut on her face from horsing around that needs a fun Band-Aid to cover it, and her design's meant to reflect that. Beast strikes me as the kind of girl who'd just wear the same neutral colors with some green every day, and the kitty-ear hat is her most prized possession. This is the kind of kid who'd get labeled a "problem child" until she finally gets tested for ADHD.

Witch gives off grungy alternative vibes to me, and everything she does with her appearance is very deliberate---she doesn't have a skincare routine, but she always takes care of her piercings; she dyes her hair red herself and in the bathroom sink, but she always gets a good-quality and cruelty-free dye; she dresses almost exclusively in ripped jeans, flannels/overshirts, and T-shirts/tank-tops, but they're always somehow matching perfectly and look like actual outfits rather than just... well, what she threw on. To me, Witch is the person who gives off as much "I don't care" vibes as possible, while caring immensely in her own weird way.

Weirdly enough, Prisoner's human design was actually difficult, and that might have something to do with the fact that... well, she is the most human out of all of the Vessels, decapitation nonwithstanding. To that end, I wound up giving her a very academic-leaning style, which I think fits with her cynicism and default to the logical approach. She gets glasses, she gets a sweater vest, she gets Mary Janes... Prisoner's always trying to look presentable.

Damsel, meanwhile, was almost too easy---maximum pink, maximum ruffles, maximum princess vibes. There's no choice for Damsel other than being as adorable and as high-femme as possible, and... well, I'm pretty damn sure that comes across. It also helps her contrast well with Prisoner, since they're almost always twin sisters in my AUs.

I had two rules for Adversary: make her hella sporty, and make her hella butch. This is a girl who actually uses her gym membership, and she is almost always in workout gear of some kind. She's gotta be tough, she's gotta be badass, and she's gotta be hot. (I love butch Adversary so much, you don't understand)

Tower... well, she was pretty simple. Power suit, perfect jewelry and heels, pantyhose, professionally-styled hair, definitely enjoys wine. I struggle to write her because on one hand, I don't want to make her an egotistical monster, but on the other hand... well, it's difficult to make her human and likeable without going too out of character. At best, she's more akin to a mean girl than anything else, and at worst, she's Karen-level. (Sorry, gorgeous.)

For Nightmare, I had two words: "cute" and "goth." Nightmare is totally the kind of girl who would dress up like a spooky doll for funzies, so she's got frills like Damsel, but a bit more understated---and, also, leaning way more heavily into black-and-grey than any other color. And yes, she has tattoos and vitiligo, because it just... works for her. She still absolutely slathers intentionally exaggerated makeup on her face, though.

For Spectre, I also wanted to go in a goth-adjacent direction, but I wanted her to be way more witchy and whimsical, creating a pastel-whimsigoth vibe that I think really suits her. While skull makeup was an option for this Picrew, I was already way too attached to the idea of giving Spectre round glasses in place of her... well, sunken eyes, and it turned out pretty nice. Also, if you're wondering about all the purple---don't ask me why I associate that color with her. It just fits.

Razor is always gonna be a punk-slash-metalhead to me, because that means I get the excuse to give her plenty of piercings, plenty of studded bracelets, and---not pictured in this Picrew---a gazillion chain wallets (the eagle-eyed among you will even notice that she's got metal in her hair, which was very much intentional). And as it's the most obvious with Razor, this might also be a good time to mention that, yes, I didn't want to make all of the Vessels white, because a) that's boring, and b) if Shifty's meant to represent the entirety of change and transformation among humanity, it stands to reason that if her Vessels became human, they wouldn't all be skinny blonde girls. I'm gonna get off my soapbox now.

And lastly, Stranger was... well, both hard, and surprisingly easy. I knew I wanted to make them plus-sized, I knew I wanted to give them vitiligo, and I knew that I wanted their "base" outfit to be as pattern-clashing, color-clashing, hurt-your-eyes busy as possible. However, that did mean that I ran out of colors to include preeeeetty quickly, which is actually something that can happen when you're trying to squeeze in every color at once. Still, though, the end result was quite cute, and I think it definitely captures their vibe. (Not pictured: their masc outfit with suspenders and a tie, their alt outfit with a black cowboy hat and old-fashioned jester makeup, their femme outfit with a big ol' hoop skirt and matching parasol, and their "no-effort" outfit with a slouchy sweatshirt and matching pants.)

I love when I find picrews to fuel my own AUs (random blurb below the cut)

Now my OCs are kissing. Cain ofc is bratty asf, Damian is being himself. (what's the fun part is that they're both fankids but Damian is Lucifer's kid with one of my other OC's) Their ship is that Damian is older than Cain by a couple centuries give or take. But they don't really cross each other's paths at all until Cain's anniversary of becoming the ruler of Hell. (to make things easier he's like 20ish in human years and Damian is in his later 20s)

What brings them together is Damian's "rudeness" of not knowing who Cain is he's only heard of him and never knew what he looked like. Plus Damian goes back and forth from Hell and Earth periodically so he's not really up to date with many things.

While Cain is Hellborn naturally by two devil parents, Damian is mixed, Angel/Dragon/Human (his mother is half dragon and one of the last female dragon's that lived in Gamigin's prior realm! It's a long story I think I already talked about it before? Maybe? Perhaps later) Also Despite Damian being the older one, he's quite immature at times and likes to tease Cain who's pretty much similar to Leviathan in mannerisms based on "formality" but as his walls break down, he's more relaxed.

The colors are close enough though not entirely accurate to their design, especially for Cain's hair which is Leviathan's hair color if I remember correctly is like a dirty blonde? All all they had was the golden blonde 😭 so ig he gets this color which is closer to an off white/Satan's hair (the tips of his horns are red, so these horns work)

His style of dress again, is reminiscent of Hades since that's where he grew up majority of the time, but what's not seen in the photo is that he wears the same boots Satan gave him when he first started walking (they grow with him based on magic and they're resistant to all types of daily and heavy duty wear)

I also had him facing toward Damian because there was no option to add his third eye.

Damian here looks pretty spot on to how I designed him, only difference is his vitiligo isn't showing because there was no option for it and the scar that's on his eyebrow goes all the way down through his eye. Unlike his father Lucifer who very serious and doesn't react as much, he's the complete opposite very affectionate, though can be a bit of a pain in the butt. However, his voice is monotone, very chill (think of those asmr folks) and doesn't seem to match his facial expressions so he sounds condescending which isn't entirely his fault lol

Lucifer swears that it's as if the universe took the best parts of himself and his mother and threw it into Damian. ANYWAYS that's me and my random blurb for today. LEFT's story follows his life of content creation and mourning for his deceased friend, RIGHT. He is a huge Minecraft fan and makes videos about this single-player world, unknowingly using the game to cope with everything over the years. He's a pretty chill guy in general, but he's got some issues that he needs help with. It turns out that he had romantic feelings for his friend, which he has projected onto..... Herobrine? He has a more feminine appearance and features, along with his hair growing much longer over the years. Seeming to never change, wearing the same clothes and using the same things he's had for years.

ABOUT RIGHT...

RIGHT is LEFT's friend who has passed away. I am not sure if he reciprocated feelings, but they were good friends. He was just a kid who was constantly trying to convince his friends and family to hang out. As a friend, he inspires many of LEFT's creations and builds in his world. On his own, he tried living his life as an inspiration, someone to offer advice and words of encouragement, BUT it had to be this way..

Are you named after anyone?

I’m the first Tienne of my line - my mother was the second of her name, and my aunts wanted me to be the third, but she defied them. I prefer my name as it is, Tienne sounds far nicer with the royal O prefix than Hisenta. It sounds sweet and elegant, which suits me very much.

When was the last time you cried?

I hardly think that’s any business of yours.

Do you have kids?

Oh, not yet. My mother is expected to have a few more daughters before I’ll be of age to inherent the throne. I suppose I’ll have to bear an heir at that point, though with current policy I’ll have to find a suitable man to provide one. It remains a constant source of disappointment to me that no-one has managed to find a phrasing in the Grand Script to allow offspring from two mothers. Such research will be a priority when I am Queen, I assure you.

Do you use sarcasm a lot?

Not particularly. I find it a rather low and vulgar form of humour.

What’s the first thing you notice about people?

Whether or not they can look me in the eyes. If they can, they might be worth considering as equals. If they can’t, they already know their place, and it’s only right to keep them there.

What’s your eye colour?

Golden as the sun, the same as all my family. It’s a mark of our station and right to rule - the Queen of the Sun granted them to one of our ancestors centuries ago, and no-one else has them. They’re the most beautiful eyes in all the world.

Scary movies or happy endings?

That depends on who the ending is happy for. I much prefer the classical tales, which aren’t always frightening, but do always contain an appropriately entertaining amount of blood and suffering.

Any special talents?

I am very, very good at getting what I want.

Where were you born?

Do you have any pets?

I’ve had a few over the years. They never last long, but then small creatures that can’t fend for themselves never do, do they? Dear Ihrone does get so very upset when she has to bury another one for me, though, even when it’s just a squirrel.

What sort of sports do you play?

Court politics and bedroom games

How tall are you?

Five feet, two inches - exactly two inches taller than my mother.

What was your favourite subject in school?

Politics, espionage, and the history of warfare and interrogation techniques - all most useful topics for a royal daughter to be well-versed in. Just because we aren’t at war now doesn’t mean we won’t be, and when I inherit I refuse to be caught unprepared.

That, and I do so like knowing what people are saying about me behind my back. It makes them much easier to manipulate.

What is your dream job?

Job? I’m Otienne - a princess. I shan’t be needing a job, I shall be running the country once my mother dies, or loses her faculties more than is acceptable in public. And you had best believe that once my father’s foreign influence is removed, there will be some changes around here.

have you always had one sona/mascot character, or has it changed over time? If youve had one at all of course

My very first sona was a Mew Pokésona that going forward inspired the aesthetics of all my subsequent ones. I got it drawn way back when, as an art raffle prize, but I don't think I can find the file any more. I have been wondering if I could somehow revive it one day. (To broke right now, but to that one person who knows who they are: ;3c)

I have always had an attachment to Mew as a Pokémon. And being that I was 14-ish at the time the prospect of a mythical Pokémon as my sona just appealed to my 14 year old sense of self importance.

I also believe I may have been influenced by the plot of Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon. If anyone remembers, the partner character is canonically a reincarnated Mew in that entry in the series.

The Jace bird, my current "main" sona, has had quite a few iterations before I got my first artwork in its current style. But for the most part has remained consistent. The main change is going from a generic green (turquoise more like) bird to a specific species of tropical bird, a yellow-naped amazon parrot.

I connect with parrots because ever since I was a kid I have had a reputation for being "talky". Couple that with my interest in language learning and linguistics and having the stereotypical talking bird just felt natural. But it's also local to my country, Guatemala, a place that as I've gotten older I've got more and more attached to.

Also, the fact I began having anthro bird sonas circa 2017 may or may not be related to the fact I immediately fell in love with the Rito from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild...

There's Troutfur, of course, who started as a Picrew avatar but later became an OC with like backstory and a defined design outside the bounds of the original image creator. It is who I represent myself as in this blog, as well as being an outlet to really explore my complex feelings towards the very ideas of religiosity given my Catholic upbringing. But layered in a coat of fantasy and animal aesthetics to make it an easier pill both to make and swallow.

Also: he has the distinction of being a fulfillment of a childhood dream. As a kid I really liked the idea of a calico cat fursona. Cats were one of my special interests as a child and I always found calicos to be the prettiest pattern. But I didn't want people to think I was a girl, trans, or intersex. The Erins' flippant attitude about cat genetics just inspired me to make the cat sona of my dreams, with no regard to the rhyme or reason for him being a cis guy calico.

And I also have Jiā'ān, after my Chinese Buddhist name: 嘉安. (For the unaware: I formally converted to Chinese Pure Land Buddhism in late 2023 under the bona fide abbott of a monastery in China. I have been on and off involved with Buddhism for 7 years, but it was in December 2023 when I really felt ready and committed enough to call myself an actual Buddhist.)

He is the character I use to represent myself in my Buddhism side blog, @kongque-jiaan. @dayz-ina-daze designed him from scratch for me and it cost me a pretty penny, but in the end it was worth it completely. I adore EVERYTHING about the design and I wish I got to use him more.

He's a peacock, which in Buddhist literature is a symbol of inner strength and acquiring wisdom through confronting one's negative thought patterns. Peacocks eat a lot of stuff poisonous to humans and as such ancient Indians believed that the strength of the poison they are directly correlated to the brightness of their feathers. The idea of it is extremely aspirational to me and as such Jiā'ān kind of has come to represent to me my goals in Buddhist practice.

These characters are all equally a representation of me. So much so that I honestly answer as much to their names as I do my "real" name. At least online. Ultimately, when humans are so complex, why should we have just the one word to define our whole being?

deciding to take a detour from my known ocs and post this for an oc that's in development! i've caved and made a proper house m.d. character, i fear.

her name is dr. alejandra alicea batista and she's a stealth/closeted trans woman who works as a palliative care internist (who will also do clinic rotations if there's a need for extra hands on deck) :}

and i made this pic of her using the istv picrew because i am fucking obsessed with it. or rather the old iteration since it's been updated and now i can't recreate this look at all! this picrew by the same creator! i am stupid.

1. What kind of person is your OC in a crisis? Are they calm and collected? Do they panic? Or are they chronically the cause?

crisis is something that happens a lot in her line of work, and so she's learned to compartmentalize and respond accordingly. does she panic? absolutely. but she knows expressing that won't do anything to address the issue. her patients' lives are more important than her feelings in that moment, and when things do eventually settle (for better or worse), she'll take some time to decompress, let it out, and recompose before moving on to the next job.

in particularly stressful or heartbreaking situations, she often withdraws and sits in the stairwell to cry it out. the same goes for interpersonal crises; she'll handle it in the moment the best she can, or she'll withdraw and take some time to just. feel. before coming back and confronting the issue.

2. Is your OC a loner or a social butterfly? Are they satisfied with how they come across to other people?

alejandra is a social butterfly! she's always been a sociable person; was always the kid that would end up leader of the playground, help others during class, so on and so forth. and with her line of work now, open and continual communication is key to bring comfort to the patient(s) and their families.

and she's very pleased with how she comes across to others.

3. What is your OC’s financial status? Are they just scraping by, making enough to live comfortably, or wealthy? Has there ever been a drastic change in their status? If so, what happened?

it's hard to tell specifically because of the timeline of the show, and me just not doing a lot of research at the moment... but i'd say she's pretty comfortable, considering the average salary for internists in new jersey (as of the past year or so) is approximately $272,491.

as for a drastic change, her getting employed was it. she came from a lower/middle kind of background. she had a family home and did have things, but it was one of those situations where the weeks between paychecks really were a struggle. she worked hard as a teen to save up for college (in addition to earning scholarships), but there are definitely loans she is still very much paying back.

4. Does your OC have a failed friendship or relationship they still think about? What happened? Is it an unresolved regret or is there a chance for reconciliation?

she does have a few failed friendships, but they were ultimately out of her control. they didn't want to accept her for who she was (re: they were okay with her being a bisexual man, but being a bisexual woman was just too much-) so she stood her ground and called things off.

she does think about it, and she has tried to see what they were up to over the years, but ultimately it's something she knows was probably for the best. she's happier now, and she won't let people step on that because they want to be closed minded.

not applicable! ... but if she were a fantasy character, going on dnd standards, she would be a temptest domain cleric and would use a light hammer. she swears by this, btw. she does play d&d with some of the clinic nurses.

alejandra loves her natural hair color. it's a really nice warm, almost reddish, brown. she's dyed it in her younger adulthood (including a full bleach job which she hates, even though everyone disagrees and thinks it's stunning when they see pics of her), but she doesn't as much now due to the upkeep. if she did, she'd likely do an ombré that goes from her natural color to blonde.

as for style, she doesn't usually wear it down while on duty. she likes to throw it up into a braided ponytail. otherwise, when she does wear her hair down, it's very much like the picture above. some hair tied back into a half up/half down style with a few accent pieces. she does straighten her hair and normally it looks more curly when it's not (similar texture to the accent pieces in the ref photo).

8. What was your OC’s most embarrassing moment? Does it still bother them or are they able to shrug it off?

one of her most embarrassing moments was when she first got assigned onto a case with house's team. despite having a similar amount of expertise (she's actually a bit older than him and wilson, iirc), house and crew definitely came across as more knowledgeable and she'd tripped over her words and mispronounced something pretty badly (examples of funny mishaps can be found on this reddit thread)...

she still hasn't lived it down.

9. Is your OC laid back or do they thrive on drama? What role do they play in their group of friends/associates?

she thrives on the drama, as long as she gets to stay on the sidelines of the inbound train wreck.

it can be frustrating, especially where house is concerned (but then again; who doesn't get frustrated) and especially because a lot of his patients do end up in critical/supposedly terminal states where she would be called in to start making preparations in case the patient does die... but she would be lying if she said she didn't find some of the team drama entertaining.

in the group, when she is put on a case with them, she's often the outlier (in a positive way). she doesn't get involved unless it really impacts the patient, and she tries to see things reasonably (she does not play favorites with the diagnostic team).

10. Is your OC sentimental or pragmatic? Do they keep mementos or only what they need to survive? Have they always been this way or did something happen to make them change?

oh alejandra is so sentimental; she's always been like that. her family was really close with each other and they always valued heirlooms and relics that were passed along.

her apartment is actually... pretty maximalist, and it's a nice blend of family heirlooms, hand-me-down furniture, and her just finding nice little things that she grows attached to.

11. What does your OC believe in? God(s)? Monsters? Love? The power of unbreakable bonds of friendship to overcome any obstacle? The ability of money to open any door? Or are they indifferent?

alejandra believes in gods but was raised following one. her adherence to roman catholicism is very casual; she attends church if she is able to/has the day off, she attends mass during the holidays, and she does donate/volunteer.

but ultimately she doesn't believe the christian god is the only one, and thinks that sort of believe is stupid. as she sees it: every religion is a valid one and is just as real as the other. there's no real way of knowing which is the most true(tm), and that people are more than entitled to follow the beliefs/interpretations that they want to most.

as for the rest: she does find monstrous mythology interesting, but doesn't outright believe that like… bigfoot really was real. she absolutely believes in love, and the power of unbreakable bonds of friendship. and she believes money absolutely gives people privilege in opening the doors they want to, regardless of if they should actually be opening said doors.

12. Is your OC cynical or optimistic? Who or what shaped their outlook on life?

she tries so hard to be optimistic, and for the most part: she is! a lot of that came from her parents, who were the types to hold that optimistic outlook despite their circumstances being rougher (re: making the most out of those in-between weeks and the like). they were also the "confused and uncertain, but supportive" type when she'd ultimately came out to them.

her and her parents are just really close, and they've actually grown closer over the years as she's established her career and grown into herself.

13. How important are romantic relationships to your OC? Do they prefer casual sex, short flings, or long term relationships? Do they want to get married or are they content with what they have? Or do they have no interest in romance whatsoever?

they're something that alejandra daydreams about, but it's not something she actively pursues. she's had her fair share of shorter flings, but she's never really felt super contended with them.

ideally, she would love to have something longer-term and to eventually get married.

14. How important is friendship to your OC? Do they prefer to have one or two close friends or a large group of casual friends? Or do they prefer their own company over that of others?

unlike romantic relationships, alejandra really values friendship and she does have a larger group of casual friends!

she's befriended some of the clinic and e.r. staff (she plays d&d with some nurses, as mentioned previously), she has a little clique going at the church she attends, and she does routinely check in on some online forums that are focused on various casual hobbies. she's actually part of a geocities webring for healthcare workers (and yes, she is devastated when geocities closes down, since that would happen canonically within the house timeline)

15. What places hold significant meaning or memories for your OC? Do they have a positive or negative association with those places?

i'm not really sure to be honest; the biggest one i can think of at the moment would be her parents' home/her family home. lots of positive association there!

16. How does your OC make money? Do they have a respectible profession or work a series of odd jobs? Are they a criminal? Or do they get creative in the pursuit of coin?

as mentioned; she's an internist! her sub-specialty is palliative care. that's where she makes her money, though as a teen/college student she did a bunch of odd jobs.

17. Does your OC have an enemy? What happened between them? Is it mutual or one-sided? Is it petty or serious? Is one party seeking revenge? Does one person want the other dead or are they content to hate them from afar? 

despite the falling outs she had (re: failed friendships), she doesn't actually have any proper enemies. so, not applicable!

18. Has your OC ever had a prophecy made about them? Was it a big deal or did they ignore it? Was it straightforward or cryptic? Did it ever come to pass or did they circumvent it?

nope! and if she did, it would be a huge deal to her. she would hate knowing something so intense rested on her shoulders (which is ironic, given her line of work, but at least she expects death to happen there).

19. Has your OC ever had an experience with the paranormal or the divine? What happened? Was it a one time encounter or is it a normal part of their life? Did they find it terrifying or thrilling?

she has not! at least, none that she would really consider to be a proper experience(tm). it was usually smaller little things that played into her superstitions. they've unnerved her.

20. Has your OC ever done something terrible and lied about it? Did they run away or blame someone else for it? How long did they maintain the lie and did the truth ever come out?

nope! alejandra has, thankfully, lived a fairly average life and hasn't done things that were terrible enough to hide it. the worst of what she's done (e.g., petty theft), she's owned up to it.

she hates the guilt and secrecy that comes with lying, and especially the betrayal when the truth comes out.

Alois Schoenheit

He/Him, 3rd year, 189cm

VA claim: Nicholas Thurkettle (specifically his role of Von Lycaon from ZZZ, but softer)

UM: "Enchanted Wish" After speaking the encantation "A wish you make, is all that is takes. May your wish become as true as your dreams." Alois will see various visions related to the whatever the person wishes for, though for only a few seconds before becoming fully conscious again. After recounting what he remembers it is then up to the person to work for that wish to come true. It takes up a lot of Alois' magic so he rarely mentions what it does.

"Oh hello...what do you want."

Alois is very much a calm and collected type of character, as he seems to have a lot of patience (probably because of his younger sister). He doesn't really show anger even when insulted, though things are different if his family is the one being insulted. Then you've truly unleashed verbal hell. He won't cuss, but you'll wished he just cussed you out instead.

He doesn't really care about the entertainment industry, so he's very private about his personal life a lot of the time. He doesn't have many close friends because of that but he doesn't really mind it at all. As long as no one gets in his way he doesn't get in others'.

Trivia: He can actually sing really good, like he could've been a famous child if he wanted to. He doesn't like for people to know this though so he purposely sings badly to get people off his back.

When he was little he used to be picked on for his clothing choices, but now no one says anything (most likely because two of his three parents are scary when angry)

He gets along with his mother mostly since they share a bond over wanting to live in peace (though that's hard when the other two are famous actors).

He regularly visits NRC to check in on his mom, Yuuki, to make sure her and Grim's classes aren't stressing them out. This is how he ends up meeting Ruby.

Animals seem to flock to him whenever he's alone and relaxing, he doesn't really mind them as he focuses on his reading.

Alois also actually had selective mutism when he was younger, he's grown out of it for the most part and able to talk softly. But it will come back if in a very stressful situation (like paparazzi hounding).

Malin Draconia

She/Her, 3rd Year, 176cm

VA claim: Anne Yatco (specifically her role as Ei in Genshin Impact but more energetic and slightly higher pitch)

UM: "Spindling Wheel." Is able to put a person into a deep slumber that cannot be awakened unless certain conditions are met. Not even Malrin herself can undo the powerful curse even if she wanted to.

"Greetings humans! A-Ah wait! Don't be scared!"

Now Malin here is your typical kind crown princess character, though she does have a bit of a temper that not even her fathers can control at times. Though once calm she is apologetic and gives loads of gifts as she believes that's proper human custom.

She doesn't have much thought about the differences between fae and humans, so she's pretty clueless just how fragile humans can be in comparison to faeries. This is usually how her unintentional intimidation happens, though her status enough of a scare factor.

Trivia: How she was born is a bit...unusual, as both Yuuto and Malleus were fighting while in blot form and their combined magic somehow...became her. No one has that much explanation, but it ended up with her both having very powerful magic thanks to her bloodlines. Neither male wasn't certain on what to do but, they decided to raise her together. Though they aren't officially married.

Thanks to this powerful magic she possesses, she's actually the one that conjured her younger sister alive! Again no one had a total explanation, just one day Malin was having a tantrum on wanting a younger sister. And then the next, suddenly a healthy baby girl was sleeping in Yuuto's bed. You can imagine the confusion when the dna results came in.

She actually uses her magic to hide her horns, as she wanted to blend in more with the general population. Sadly it didn't help as her first day at NRC she had nearly smited someone with lightning in anger, which cemented her heritage.

Thorn Rosehearts

He/They, 2nd, 191cm

VA claim: Alejandro Saab (specifically his role as Yuri Leclerc from FE3H, but slightly deeper)

UM: "Curiouser and Curiouser." Must first be activated by the phrase "Who. Are. You." and when the person answers with their name then Thorn can gain access to their memories and abilities for a short time.

"Hm? Well look what the cheshire cat dragged in~ What's a pretty face like you doing here?"

Thorn is your typical playboy flirt, his usual target being Malin and Malorie. He doesn't really discriminate who he flirts with, though he's never heavy handed with it. Other than his flirting he's pretty chill, usually not one to express anger much either. Which surprises people when he mentions who his father and twin are.

As his twin, Ruby, is the dorm leader for Heartslabyul. Most think he's vice leader because of the family closeness but he refuses the position every time Ruby brings it up, as he doesn't really enjoy being in a position of authority.

Trivia: He has a small scar on his cheek, it came about when he and Ruby were young. They had founded Riddle's old school pen (hc that they get to keep them after graduating) in his office and Ruby had accidentally sent a small whirlwind within the room. Causing a lamp to break and a shard cutting Thorn's cheek. Ruby cried over it but Thorn just thought it made him look cool.

The reason why Thorn is tanner than Ruby is mainly because his mom's genes hit him hard, so he tans easier than his twin. It had to take some explaining from Yuuna that they were part mexican to make the twins understand when they were younger.

Occasionally Thorn and Yuuna share a laugh as they watch their family members struggle to each anything close to their spice level.

Surprisingly he gets along with his father super well, even if they have disagreements on certain views they're both very respectful of each other. Though he does like to push Riddle's buttons at times, mainly because he always found his red face funny.

Ruby Rosehearts

She/Her, 2nd, 160cm

VA claim: Erika Harlacher (specifically her role as Ann Takumi from P5, but slightly lower pitch)

UM: "My Way." When activated whoever Ruby aims her magic at will fall under her control, and will follow her every order until the spell is lifted. The more under the spell and more blot accumulates rapidly.

"Welcome to Heartslabyul! Care for a game?"

Ruby is very much like her father, though she prefers to the follow the rules loosely. For example if she weren't up for lemon tea after a meal she would still drink a different kind of tea with two sugar cubes. She believes there must be a balance, something her mother taught her many times when she was young whenever Riddle had a moment of unnecessary strictness.

But one thing that didn't change in their likeness is that she has the same temper as her father, maybe even shorter. While she's able to remain calm once an argument ensues, she's not able to keep her voice down once her face has turned red. Once she's beginning to threaten to use her magic is when only Thorn can calm her down.

Trivia: Ruby likes to write letters to her parents every month or so, updating them on how she and her twin are doing. She knows she could just text, but she finds it relaxing and fun to write. If you were to somehow get your hands on the letters between them, you may have a hard time reading if you can't read very intricate cursive.

She also has a massive crush on Alois, so whenever he visits she's always can be seen admiring from afar. Once she's managed to talk to him (Thorn practically pushed her into him) she's a blushing mess, but over time she can usually hide her blush.

She wouldn't tell anyone about this, but she actually slightly prefers blueberries over strawberries. She doesn't dislike strawberries, she still loves them! But usually she leaves the blueberries for last whenever they're on a tart.

Malorie Draconia

She/Her, 1st, 148cm

VA claim: Cassandra Lee Morris (specifically her roles as both Morgana from P5 and Sothis from FE3H, but slightly lower pitch)

UM: ???

"Hmph, what?"

Malorie is very...antisocial, not in the anxious shy way. But...she just very much likes to keep to herself, unless that is being with her older sister. It's not that she's unkind to just humans, she's the same with other fae. She actually forces her way to stay at Ramshackle, as she knew most wouldn't stay there. She does appreciate the nightly visits Malin does to check on her.

While she doesn't get into fights to get people away from her, she's not afraid to use what little magic she has to intimidate them. Luckily her parentage already helps cause otherwise it would be found out that she doesn't have as much magic reserve as the average person, meaning she could blot very easily.

Trivia: Neither her nor her elder sister know abut her true birth, as both their fathers believed it would be better to keep it a secret.

She's obvious about her disgust for Thorn whenever she sees him approaching, not above insulting and intimidating him at every chance. She only gets angrier whenever her intimidation doesn't work, it doesn't help when Malrin is there as well and stops her from being rude. Malorie tries to explain what she believes his intentions are but her sister doesn't understand.

The angrier she gets the more of her draconic traits show, with her horns growing bigger and her eyes becoming sharper.

Naomi Schoenheit

She/They, 1st, 168cm

VA claim: Kate Higgins (specifically her role as Lissa from Fire Emblem Awakening)

UM: "A Million Diamonds Shine!" Can conjure jewels out of thin air, takes various amounts of magic depending on the size and amount.

"Hihi!! Have you seen Alois around? No? Oh okay, bye!"

Naomi is a giddy excitable kind of girl, she gets along with pretty much everyone (even Malorie when they eventually meet) and just loves to hang out with her brother. Though she has a tendency to get lost, which is how she makes friends so quickly as usually someone will help her find her way.

While her brother, Alois, doesn't want to be a part of the entertainment industry, she actually wants to follow her father's and papa's path of becoming an actor! She usually has fun playing with voice acting protagonists in cartoons or video games the most, but she does have some small roles in movies and TV shows.

Trivia: She has a weird sixth sense about where Alois is, so while she does get lost she usually ends up finding him pretty quickly. This sixth sense also applies to her other family members, which can freak Vil out when she unknowingly wanders into a set because she had a feeling he was there. Neige actually finds it adorable and just laughs whenever she pops up by him on set. Yuuki is just used to it and lets Naomi do her thing whenever she pops up at NRC accidentally. Her ahoge will actually jump a bit in a cartoonish fashion when she detects a family member.

Because of how she acts, most for some reason assume she's a boy at first. She doesn't bother correcting them because she just doesn't honestly care. Though even when she's smiling it's obvious she's miffed when someone realizes and underestimates her.

Usually a common sight is seeing her yapping at Alois somewhere on campus while he's reading his book with various woodland critters around them.

I'd love to hear a little more about the crown in the ice!

I have no one to blame but myself because I need to talk about my original book more...

Anyway! So, it all started as a fanfic back in 2020 (about peak covid) and then with the way I was developing it, I knew it would be better to just make it an original story.

The story (as of right now) followed twin brothers, Jack and James, as they watch their childhood friend, Alyssa, gets kidnapped. Her kidnappers then open a portal and the brothers follow them through but get separated. At the same time as this, Jack finds out he has ice powers. After that, it really just about Jack learning to control his powers, rescue Alyssa, and learn the secrets of their late father as he is actually from this other world.

Basically, it’s an isakai minus the chosen one concept. I want it to be a “we stumbled upon this by trying to do something else and now we’re saving the world”

In the other world and few years before the story, the queen’s castle was attacked and she, her husband, and her children were all killed, and the usurper took the throne.

In this other world, there are beings know as spirits. Air, water, forest, fire, dark, and winter spirits. Jack and James’ father was a winter spirit and considered a rarity in the other world since pretty much all winter spirits live at the top of a snowy mountain. Their father fled to earth (why is a secret) and there he got married and had a couple of kids.

Now this story follows six (6) main characters with Jack being the protagonist but occasionally switches to one other pov.

Now for our cast!

This is Jack (left is what he looks like on earth and the right is what he looks like in the other world). He and James are very close qnd the more carefree twin but can be serious when its needed.

Like I said, they are twin brothers at 18 years old. They both look like their father (especially Jack ehen hes in the other world). He’s the more serious twin.

Now...does James have magic too? Yes, he does but something is different about his...

Next is Alyssa!

She is 18 as well and has been the brothers’ best friend for as long as any of them can remember. I want her to be a damsel in distress but not one where she’s dependent on someone saving her.

And this is Vesper (16)! She’s a shapeshifter and doesn't have bear ears in her human form. She has two younger brothers, Reyny and Ered. Her and her brothers are in hiding from the royal guards. Why? Lets just say that they are important people.

This Is Elewen! She’s the oldest of the group at 24 and she’s Jack and James’s cousin. Their father had a sister that stayed behind in the other world. She’s a winter spirit and will help Jack learn how to use his powers. She becomes the big sister of the group.

Lastly, this is Thea (19)! Now, some trigger warnings for slavery (idk if that needs a tw but just in case) but she was kidnapped from her home when she was about 5 years old and sold into slavery. Before the throne was usurped, slavery was in the process of being eliminated but after the royal family was killed, it skyrocketed. She’s half forest spirit and half winter spirit and she is forced to wear bands around her wrists and ankles to prevent her from using her magic.

i actually REALLY love the hs sprite(s) of her so very much but i want to redo it, i just been very forgetful lately and haven't really decided to redo her sprite unfortunately >_<

she does actually look nearly similar to her sprite, but there are parts that i really want to rework and sort of redo; for instance the fact she's in all black! that is NOT what she wears all the time i assure you!

another thing about the old ver of hs ashley is the fact that i decided to create a cameo guardian for her to fit the criteria, i guess. his name was jax! he was purely made because i get really interested in classpects. although, he's not really fully fledged out or anything. a part of me doesn't even want to add him in the new version of ashley actually ^^;;

another thing about this version is the fact she has literal NO LORE WHATSOEVER. in all honesty, i just could NEVER THINK OF LORE FOR HER. so she got nothing. she was just. kind of there. and that was that. and nothing else.

to be completely honest with you, she was plain even if i absolutely adored her more than anything on this planet ...

i'm still working on a lot of things with this version of her ! but i'm trying to stray away from like the entire ...... typical stuff, but it's still pretty much with her as i didn't take it away or anything, just focusing more on the game stuff makes ME upset because i only focus on that and yadda yadda whatever!

this time, i actually have lore and how she ends up with everyone. but because i don't follow the comic anymore or really anything, a lot of it is my interpretation (and the fact the game doesn't really "exist" but does exist because of them having "powers"? i guess? i can probably talk about it in a different post but yeah! i just don't care about the game or the rest of the characters sorry)

so, the lore for ashley on how she got in the beta/alpha kids' timeline is this:

ashley's timeline somehow got corrupted. a lot of that is purely unknown and she doesn't even know *why* her timeline got corrupted. but she ends up in their timeline, kind of just appearing from thin air. quite literally.

although she basically FELL FROM THE SKY. long story short: she is unable to get back to her timeline. a part of me thinks that she was SUPPOSED to be in the beta/alpha timeline, but something happened for an error to occur, thus her being in the null timeline.

if that's too much for you, just know that she's unable to get back to her timeline and is stuck in the timeline she's quote on quote "supposed" to be in.

because of this happening, she doesn't know if her own family is alive or well, or they'll appear in this timeline—i'll call it the OG timeline, AKA original timeline (as it's canon and so forth. sorry for the technicalities). however, i have no ideas for her family yet, maybe i'll add jax but i also highly doubt it. i don't know! don't want to add too much to my plate, so that's in the backburner for the time being!

knowing this information, ashley being in a completely new place—new timeline—she is alone, like completely so alone and the only thing she sees is like four people. which as much as she's already wary of her surroundings and already hypervigilant on where she is, she does at the very go over to them; or they go over to her.

won't get into HUGE details on that! but i absolutely adore the betas and she will be honestly afraid to even get to close to them. i had the thought of her being this fearful to get close to people because of her ending up in the og timeline, being alone, and without really any familiar faces to see. ashley has this sort of thought of if she gets close to them, something bad would happen to *them* and she doesn't want that! considering that they seemed to offer hospitality and are cordial with her (well, for the most part, most of them seem friendly. even if using the term friendly is a stretch on talking on some), she would feel awful if something bad happened to them at her expense.

in all honesty, i didn't want her to just be a self insert for dave tbh... i want her to have her own like background and story, and lore, and relationships with the other characters! i also like doing silly scenarios with the other characters with her! it's very fun ^_^

Minecraft user エコー /ᐠ - ˕ -マ  (yes, with the kaomoji) gave her five stacks of diamonds after Kiku built a base for them (which really surprised Kiku. how the heck did someone get so many diamonds ??? also how the heck are there symbols in her name????). and uhh i havent thought beyond this

Usada Kiku (Kiki) - she may not look like much and she’s still learning the controls to Fortnite, but she’s really good at building in Minecraft. Her YouTube channel has thousands of subscribers because she’s just that good at building. She also thinks of very creative ways to defeat the Ender Dragon. Not to mention the hacking videos she does that she herself doesn’t think are funny (I do it all the time ??) but her community goes wild over it. She composes most of the soundtracks. 

Emi - she’s really cute, but not the kindest. jirai kei girly <333 will probably dox you. has your ip address and credit card number somehow. she edits, mixes, and masters the music along with Kiku. selfie girl prolly. i also can't find a single good picrew for her so just have that for now. her pupils are off-centered flowers, she has a bunny hairclip, and there are pink streaks in her hair.

Fuuki - hacker. she’s x-raying in minecraft and you can’t ban her for some reason. she gave herself more power than the mods, than the admin themselves. she could take down the entire server within seconds but she won’t because she doesn’t care to. she doesn’t really commit much to actually making music, but she pirates all the music programs the others use because everyone’s too broke to pay for anything. also probably goes by she/they (demigirl) but i'm too lazy to change that rn

Hey, thoughts anon here. Back again so soon, I know, I know.

I guess I should start off by replying to your last answer (specifically the first part). Thank you so much for that, firstly. I do write (I have my own OCs and I'm currently world-building) but I don't really show people my writing because, well. Now that I think of it, I don't really know why I don't show people. I just don't. And I don't plan to either, except if it's creative writing assignments from school, that is. I'm not opposed to participating in competitions either, but my teachers don't allow it because what I write and how I write it is rather, erm. Unconventional, let's say.

That said, I'm not very particularly talented at it, though I'd like to be.

And it is also at this point I wish to make like that one specific type of fic writers and say that English... is not my first language. Sort of. I'm trilingual, you see, and English was just ONE of the languages I was taught from a very young age, along with Hindi and Bengali. I am practiced in all three. I also learn German from school (it's been like what, 8 years?) and French on my own (although I started with French just this year). So you could say I know 4.5 languages. (At this point I feel strangely as though I'm bragging. I probably am a little bit.)

Anyway, languages are my passion, and I feel as though I could never learn enough of them or from them. I actually plan on pursuing Linguistics someday.

In other news, I'm over that girl! Completely. I guess I pulled a James Potter number on her and just fell in love with the idea of her, because of the mature way she talked and how she was so unbothered by everything around her. I realise now more than before that she did some pretty childish things too, because she's a kid, like me, and wants to be older than her age, like me. We'd never work out anyway. (Speaking of pulling James Potter numbers, I am now in dire need of my Regulus Black coded partner.)

Also, I have discovered that I'm actually pan and ace (as opposed to when I used to think I was bi) and am quite attached to both labels. The only problem is ninety percent of my picrews feature bi flags and badges so. Hehe, self-discovery I guess.

Lastly, Christmas was a drag. No, literally. My mother DRAGGED me by the hair, tied me up with our luggage and whisked the both of us to my grandmother's house for some 'family time' (which in my country means a stay of over ten days) wherein we all fought like cats and dogs, went out a lot, ate too much street food (which was hotter than the sixth circle hell btw) and promptly fell sick. Both my mom and my aunt puked at least twice, my grandmother shouted at them for being so reckless with their health while my uncle stood by and resigned himself to the fact that women will be women, and as for me, I wanted nothing more than to disappear off the face of this planet. But, Christmas wishes, in a surprising turn of events, do not come true, it seems.

Anyway, it was also around Christmas that my family (on my mother's side) discovered (by pure accident) that I had grown taller than all of them, and I was instantly labelled 'Lambhu Singh', much to my chagrin. This accursed term is MEANT to be a funny and endearing nickname for someone who is tall and lanky. (I am not thin, I am extremely mid-size and also hate my life, did I mention?) So my thoughts on making a kid for Graveyard Flowers is something like this...

A couple years into Beej and Ro's little partnership Beej gets summoned by a woman.

She had escaped an abusive marriage with her baby and ended up dying in a car crash that the baby survived. Instead of being tied to a house she's tied to her daughter. She gets so fed up with the foster homes she's been placed in she does something drastic.

Now, BJ has never, and I mean never, been asked to take care of a kid, babysitting isn't exactly a service he advertises on his flyer, but the whole thing is a basically a blank check waiting to be cashed.

It may not be his ticket back to living, but having a live one on his charge could get both him and Ro some sweet upgrades. That doesn't mean he's not reluctant.

So imagine Ro's confusion when he shows back up in the office, completely perplexed, before heading off to do actual paperwork, and only pausing to ask, "You like kids, right?"

Obviously, before he hands the paperwork in, he does the most outrageous thing, and asks her whether she'd be okay helping him take care of a kid.

Her first instinct is to say no, because he should in no way be allowed to raise a child, but once he fully explains the circumstances she agrees.

Once the paperwork is signed by the mother, approved, and a house up top is acquired, they finally get to actually meet her.

And she is the cutest little three-year-old, with blond hair, and big brown eyes, named Mila.

Her mother was able to explain the situation, that she can't take care of her anymore, but that's all before her spirit finally gives out.

Of course they're both a little nervous how she's going to react to them, BJ especially. With a little make up and a scarf Ro looks pretty normal, if not just really pale.

Much to their confusion, she finds Rosie the more unsettling one, and is completely fine with BJ.

She warms up to her eventually, but she definitely prefers Beej and his weirdness.

She also calls him 'Beebs' and thinks it's funny when his head spins and pulls snake and rats out of his pockets. Definitely a strange little girl, but perfect for them.

when she was 6 ish she was in the Deep Woods and found a small forgotten graveyard that had One Singular Ghost. this One Singular Ghost happens to have been a feral child as well who went on to become an assassin in her adulthood. the One Singular Ghost (whos name is val thank you very much) sees herself in this child so she decides to PUT herself in this child. val kinda imbues her with her Ghost Essence which 1. fucks with her morality (assassin) 2. gives her a few skills that you would NOT expect a feral kid to know (assassin) and 3. makes her even more feral than she already was (feral Ghost Essence layered on top of an already feral child. feral squared. supernatural levels of feral.). val then fucks off into the Great Beyond since making a Ghost Curse is basically all she wanted to do and so now her unfinished business is done

this Ghost Curse also makes her. visibly not quite human. most people assume she's just albino and she lets them believe that but her hair is WHITE white. bone white almost. and she's fairly sure that albino humans have BLUE eyes, not red

with this newly acquired Ghost Curse our favorite Currently Nameless Feral Child is able to fuck around and find out all the way across the country much easier than she had been, and when she's 9, she finds herself in Gravity Falls.

after that he calls in a quick favor and is able to get fake documents officially saying that stella is His Biologically and her mother is just from vegas and she died don't look too much into it Just File The Paperwork Don't Make This Difficult

that gets worked out quickly. Gravity Falls doesn't like to ask questions.

stan TRIES to keep the portal stuff a secret but stella has an Assassin Ghost Curse and does not understand the concept of boundaries. after around 2 years she has ALL the details and keeps TRYING to help but stan keeps RUDELY keeping her out of the basement. finally shes like okay fine. see if i care. im going to help you whether you like it or not its just a matter of how hard you make it

when ford finally comes out of the portal stellas initially excited because Thats Her Uncle/Dad's Crush! but then ford is an asshole and so stellas like oh okay fuck that then. Guard Dog Mode Activate.

she does lay off of ford after weirdmaggedon though and by the time ford and stan work out their Various Tensions she's fully onboard the Stancest Train

as soon as they get together she switches from calling him uncle ford to calling him pops. hes not the stepdad hes the dad that stepped up

Hello! It's me, from your notifications! Do you have a summary of your story anywhere? I went through a few character tags, but didn't find one. Also, I love that Damian is disabled but still gets to dress up all fancy. I didn't realize how rare it is to see that.

Hihi :D! I don't really have a story summary yet as a lot is still in planning and it's very wip BUT I can give you some links in semi chronological order of what I have got and also gush about it here!

aaa I'm so glad you like Dorian and how I present him >u< full disclaimer, I myself am a physically abled person. I'm trying my best to write and present him as respectfully as I can with a lot of research and opinions of friends in similar states of disability- but I may be ham fisted or get things wrong, so to anyone who reads this, please let me know if I fuck up somewhere. I'd rather be told I did something wrong or presented something disrespectfully than have people be uncomfortable in silence about it. DISCLAIMER OUT OF THE WAY- Yeah I noticed like, a lot of disabled characters ( be it physical or mental ) don't really get presented as if they like dressing up or looking nice- particularly after trying to look up more disability friendly ways Dorian would probably use. It Sucks lol. At least from the people with mental disabilities side of it where I sit, I can say that ain't true of everyone at all. It's just harder.

ANYWAYS, SUMARY OF POSTS AND STORY RAMBLING

So you can find some character reference stuff from this post here with picrew images- they were mainly so I could get a general idea of the main cast without physically having to draw them quickly

The story so far

The first post chronologically would be this one, as it talks about what happened to Dorian specifically. A bit about his home life, his parents, his neighbour and how he was released from said situation. I'm currently working on figuring out what the antagonist of this section's ties were to which god- but my main goal was to make it feel realistic at first before involving mythos with it. CW: : Stalking, kidnapping, delusions (involving pseudo incest thoughts ), (spinal) injury

After the incident, Dorian was hospital bound for a While. He'd been given a spinal injury, he was severely traumatised and could not be trusted to look after himself after all that yet because he was 6 months into being 18 when Mayline's life time of stalking came to a head. Even with rehabilitation efforts alone, the stint in hospital would've been a long one but then there was also the mental hurdles too. You can read some of that experience here. CW: medical setting, reactions to trauma, involuntary wetting and messing mention, a character being forcibly restrained in a non sexual way and trying to come to terms with mobility loss.

So while he was trying to adjust to his new normal there were a lot of things he would try to do to feel as if his life hadn't drastically changed ( it had, it's unfair that it happened but it is fine that it is now his life. Period of adjustment and all. ) He waited until Mayline's trail had been dealt with to carry on with education because, well. He's scared of her. He wants to know what's going to happen with her before he tried anything. During that time he read a lot, basically exposure therapying himself to the dark stories and stuff he enjoyed before because he didn't want to lose something that he felt made up so much of his identity. It almost definitely wasn't healthy but that is how he dealt with it.

After about a year or two, he decided he wanted to give further education a try. Since he was a kid he wanted to be a baker- he knew at least at the moment it was a pipe dream, mostly because of the various conditions that he has making said environment pretty dangerous. But he wanted to try.

While doing his culinary course, he met Leia. They didn't initially interact that much- very different aesthetics and very different circles. But Leia's a very intense and bubbly lass- so when she saw Dorian reading a book that she'd also wanted to read; there was basically no hesitation in her running up to him to chatter about the book. They became fast friends after that. Becoming friends with Leia helped him a lot in all honesty- Dorian was kind of Terrified of women after the incident ( and felt awful for it ) especially if they shared features with Mayline ( Blonde hair, blue eyes ect ), so Leia being both a woman and having blonde hair helped bring him out of it some what.

Dorian met Steven during the middle of his second year. It was when he decided to get his first tattoo ( the one on his thigh ) and Steven was apprenticing as a tattoo artist at the time. It's kind of difficult to not talk at least a little while going through the pretty long process of being tattooed and they ended up just getting along really well and meshing super well so just continued to meet up when they could because they enjoyed each others company.

Dorian also met Stevens current partner at the time, Charlie. They were all pretty friendly with each other though romantically, Charlie and Steven only lasted about 8 months. They broke it off mutually agreeing they'd be better friends and actually did become much closer as a platonic bestfriends rather than romantic partners. Charlies cool, he helped Dorian solder spikes to the rims of the wheels on his wheelchair to force people to stop trying to get to close lmao. It was his idea.

After university Dorian realised there was no way he could safely hold down a job. The mobility issues were too much to handle in a commercial kitchen setting even without the stress induced narcolepsy. It messed with him for quite a bit.

He lived on the internet for a bit, being fond of niche gothic forums and very surprisingly, still taking interest in true crime. It might've been an interest before his kidnapping but now he just wants to try to understand what the hell was going on in Mayline's head. He met Maxine on one of these forums, they talked about gothic lit for quite a bit before exchanging socials and forming a friendship off that.

During this time Dorian and Steven also started dating- and after about a year and a half, moved in together. They have a lower floor apartment together and one day hope to get a house together. Dorian also got his two kitties, Carmilla and Poe!

While living together Steven suggested to Dorian the idea of videoing himself baking or streaming it. It was kinda him recognising Dorian was trying to get over the hurdle of not being able to do what he wanted since he was a kid but also not wanting to give up completely. It isn't perfect but it works and Dorian finds a lot of fulfilment in it. He doesn't show his face ever, understandably, so he does his best to remain more or less anonymous on the internet with these things :3

All of these characters have been touched by at least one of the gods in in some way in this universe btw. I am figuring out the semantics but ye! That's what I've got so far c:
