friends don’t kiss.

at least, you don’t think they do. haechan’s been changing your mind recently. it was sudden, like you never really looked at his face properly before. it was when you both were talking, eyes trailing down to his lips. it hit you then, realizing just how pretty your best friends lips are.

he always seemed to be pouting when he spoke, pretty lips on display for you every time you talked. it’s hard not to stare when they’re right there, practically begging to be kissed. you’re pretty sure he’s haunting you, daydreams of kissing him now infiltrating your mind. you were so sure that you were being sneaky, only occasionally peeking at his lips.

he let you know that, no, you were not being as discreet as you thought you were. he hums one day, as if it were the most normal thing ever, “you know, you’ve been staring at my lips a lot more recently.”

your head snaps towards him, quick to try to defend yourself, “n-no, i just… happen to look there…”

he laughs at your embarrassment. he whispers your name, prompting you to look at him. he’s staring at you, a small smile playing at his lips. before you know it, he leans in to kiss you. his hand is placed on your cheek, pulling you closer as his lips move against yours. they’re as soft as you thought they’d be, almost hypnotizing as you find yourself leaning into him.

he pulls away almost hesitantly, a light pink dusting his cheeks, “i don’t mind it. look as much as you want.”

you thought that it would be a one time thing (much to your disappointment), you found haechan proving you wrong. he’d kiss your hand before taking it in his. he’d give you a kiss when you left his apartment. he’d kiss you a bit harder when anyone would try to flirt with you in front of him. he kisses your tears away when you cry in front of him.

it’s worse tonight, haechan pressing you against his couch. you were only supposed to be watching a movie, but haechan can’t keep his hands to himself recently. you’re pinned down under him, and you can feel how hard he is when he subtly grinds down against you. this is the farthest you’ve both have gone. as much as this shouldn’t be happening, you can’t stop your hands from threading into his hair, pulling him in closer.

friends don’t kiss, but for haechan, you might just make an exception.
