Sometimes, I love being a theater kid/drama queen. Earlier, we were deciding what movie to watch, and I suggested an old classic one: 'Liar, Liar'. My mother, however, said that movie was boring.

Immediately, I started wailing like a grieving banshee on the floor. I blubbered and asked, "What about The Mask?" And when she further put out that she didn't like Jim Carrey, I screeched in grief and faceplanted on the floor, giving everyone an earache.

It was excellent. I truly harnessed my inner Dick Grayson and Jason Todd. Because my dad agreed to put on The Mask now and I can't wait.

You were lying in bed with your son, Kai, Hugh's 'Put me in coach' shirt Jim Carrey t-shirt that smelled faintly like his cologne. Kai was curled up into your side as you rested a bowl of chips on your swollen stomach. Your son was laughing at the TV as you watched your husband's latest interview. You could blame the constant interview watching on your son, but it was for you too. You missed when he wasn't home, usually you would travel with him, but you were too far long in your pregnancy. Though you did enjoy yourself, as he appeared on 'First we feast' eating hot chicken wings when he comedically tried stuffing the bowl of ice cream into his mouth and the four-year-old that it was the funniest thing to ever happen. You couldn't hold by your chuckles as you snapped a picture of his frozen face, his veins poking out and his mouth wide open, mid bowl choking.

"Dad's so funny!" Your son giggled, his eyes glimmer up at the screen, you knew how much Kai adored his dad.

You also knew Hugh's love for his family. When you first met him, the subject of his own children came up. The way Hugh spoke about them made you want to have your own children. He adored both of his kids and just the though to how good of dad he must be didn't leave your mind. He wanted to make sure you comfortable with the idea of meeting them one day. You were in early 30's but you had to admit back then the idea of meeting his kids was scary. But not something you were opposed to.

When you did meet them, he reminded you to just be yourself. The two of you had grown close in such a short amount of time. But Hugh seemed to learn everything about you, constantly soaking up information like a sponge. Doing everything, he can make sure you were comfortable and always making the air seem light. Though you were still incredibly nervous, but they didn't seem to hate you. You'd try sharing with them about things you have in common. You felt the grounding touch of Hugh's firm hand on your thigh, and the night seemed to become a whole lot easier with just his touch.

You were 7 months along and just loved how large Hugh's children were. Kai definitely caused some tearing on the way out and you were nervous it was going to happen again. Especially because you were having another boy. But you were torn out of your nightmarish thoughts of birthing a giant baby as your phone started to ring. You smiled at the familiar ring tone of 'The Other Side' plays for Hugh's number. You immediately put him on speaker phone and Kai already knew his ring tone so he sat up straight.

"Hi love." Hugh greeted.

"Hi daddy!" Kai yelped, your son took after his dad in the endless amount of energy and silliness. "Oh my gosh, you are so funny?"

"Yeah?" He chuckled on the other end, the sound making butterflies swarm in your stomach. "Whatta I do?"

"You shovin a whole ice cream bowl in your mouth!"

"You and mum watching my interviews?"

"We might be." You hummed.

"There's that voice, how is my girl and other boy?"

"We're good, my feet are so swollen."

"Wish I was there, baby." The sound of Hugh's voice was emotional, you knew how hard this was for him. He had his fun and it was hard to spend time with Ryan. But he missed you, Kai and your life together so badly. He'll be ready for a break in the fall time.

"Can make it up to me by singing to me to bed tonight."

"I'm sure that can be arranged."

"Daddy, you won't believe what happened at school!"

"What baby?"

"Well, well, today we were playing tag and I finally got Roger!"

"Really now?" Hugh's voice showed intrigue, a light feeling coming your heart. "Did ya do what we talked about?"

"Yeah, I hid behind the slide!"

"Good job, kiddo, proud of you. You being good to your mumma?"

"Hugh." You blushed.

"Yup! Lots of cuddles."

"Raising quite the gentleman, I am raising, huh love?" Hugh joked, as you shook your head with a playful smile on your face.

"Do I need to make your ego bigger?"

"Please, darling."

"I miss you."

"I miss you too baby."

here’s some things i noticed/wondered/loved:

- i think in that scene where tom is on the ground yelling for sonic, he is wearing a special forces suit. maybe he upgraded from cop to working with gun?? if so i think that’s a really good use of his character actually! he wanted to save a life and raise a family above all else yes, but he still got his previous dream of doing more serious cop work!

- shadow just. has a big ass portal?? like holy shit he’s just suckin the life outta earth and ig that’s one way to do it (or maybe it’s just a ring and i’m stupid idek)

- i’m sure we’ll learn more about this in the actual movie so i’m not too worried, but i’m super confused at the very beginning scene. apparently sonic didn’t change his heart…but he did tho? like he learned what being a true hero meant in the last movie. tbh i feel like that’s enough but hey i’m not against more character development for our boy so!! (also that bit where he’s like “in my lungs” was actually really funny to me, ben schwartz’ awesome delivery caught me off guard)

- GERALD ROBOTNIK ALIVE HUUUUH?! tbh i would’ve preferred if maria was alive, i feel like that would be an interesting dynamic. but also ig that would make it harder for shadow to learn anything so i totally get it. anyways i’m just glad they’re putting a little twist on the story, it keeps it interesting. they already sorta did that with the knuckles and iblis thing actually! (even if that show sucked ass and although that probably wasn’t intentional 😭)

- even tho bro only got like… 3 lines, i really think keanu fits shadow. he’s very soft spoken in comparison to the rest of the case which feels nice. also he’s like the “really bad” guy so ofc he’s not gonna be yappin on and on like sonic or robotnik and he’s gonna take things uber seriously.

- where was my girl maddie :( i think she was only in like a singular frame. hope shes in the movie a somewhat significant amount. i heart pretzel lady!! could live without wade tho like pls im so sick of his bowling soap opera 💀

- FAT ROBOTNIK FAT ROBOTNIK FAT ROBOTNIK!!! after fucking 3 movies they finally fulfilled jim carrey’s wishes!! let the man get creative like please i love jim carrey sm aughdfhfnfmschxj. also love how we got so much stobonik content within that short scene like jesus come get y’all’s food

It was Wanda’s first Christmas in the States since she lost her brother, the Avengers taking her in and giving her a home. As Nat left with Clint to spend the holidays with his family, everyone else left to spend it with their own family and friends, leaving Wanda and Y/N alone in the compound.

Although Y/N had a crush on the witch, they were afraid to act on it as she was still mourning the loss of her twin.

“Good morning.” Wanda greeted shyly as she walked into the kitchen, seeing Y/N prepare for the christmas cookies and building the gingerbread house. “What’s all this?” She asked as she stood beside them.

“I figured it’s your first Christmas here, so I wanted to show you how we spend it here.” They told her with a smile.

“Why didn’t you do what the others had done, spend it with your own family?” Wanda asked as Y/N looked down before shaking their head no.

“Because I wanted to be here with you.” They told her with a bright smile. “So come on, you like to bake right?” Wanda nodded as she joined Y/N’s side. With it being christmas eve, they had decided to do all of the baking before watching christmas movies.

“I didn’t realise there are a lot of activities for just one day.” Wanda laughed as Y/N nodded.

“There is more.” Y/N told her. “But we can always do that next year because now we watch movies and eat junk.”

“What?” Wanda laughed at their enthusiasm, soon following them into the living room. “The Grinch?” She questioned as Y/N smiled.

“The original cartoon version, and then the Jim Carrey one.” They told her as they threw a pack of crisps at her. “Now, sit back and relax.” They told her with a smile. She had done as they told her, thanking them quietly when they covered her with a blanket, soon finding herself leaning her head on their shoulder.

“What now?” She asked as they jumped forward, startling her slightly.

“This is for you.” They handed her a gift bag. “Open it.”

“Pyjamas?” She raised her brow.

“Christmas pajamas, now go shower and change woman.” They pushed her into her room as she laughed. They soon went into their own to change into matching pajamas.

“I thought only couples and families would wear matching pajamas?” She questioned with a raised brow.

“Well, we have known each other for almost a year and I consider you my family.” They told her sweetly, making her smile and her heart flutter. “Besides, you deserve to have the full experience.”

The two soon sat down as they ordered pizza, not really wanting to cook anything for dinner.

As they ate as A Wonderful Life played on the TV, Y/N sighed as they turned to look at her.

“You asked about my family before.” They started as Wanda nodded, giving them her full attention. “They died, it was a couple of years ago, I had just joined SHIELD after leaving the military.” They wiped their hands on their pants. “My parents and baby sister were proud of me, I was going to fight alongside the Avengers. But then, Pierce, he killed them, he recorded it and showed me when they captured me. Tortured me but watching how they tortured my parents and Kay, that was the worst torture anyone could ever go through.” Wanda reached for their hand. “Last year was my first Christmas without them, and I was here alone. Everyone was off with their own families and all I felt was pain and anguish during the time of year we usually enjoy.” They looked into her eyes, stinging with tears that threatened to fall. “I never wanted you to feel what I felt last Christmas.”

“Y/N.” Wanda spoke their name tenderly before she caressed their cheek. “I’m so sorry.”

“It’s ok.” They gave her a smile. “I learned how to live with the pain and I fight everyday so someone else doesn’t have to go through the pain I did.”

“You’re amazing.” Wanda told them honestly as they smiled before turning back to the TV.

The next morning rolled around after the two had fell asleep on the sofa in each other's arms, Y/N woke before Wanda and moved her gently before getting up to make some breakfast for the two. Her gift is already sitting proudly on the counter.

“Hey.” Wanda smiled as she approached Y/N who was cooking pancakes. “Christmas tree pancakes.”

“With cherries.” They beamed as they plated them up for her. “And this is for you.”

“What?” She questioned as she looked at the gift wrapped box. “I never got you anything.”

“Seeing that smile on your face is a gift.” They told her honestly. They watched as she opened it eagerly, her eyes glistened as she spotted the Dick Van Dyke Show box set.

“How did you know?” She asked them as they shrugged.

“I remember Pietro told us about how the two of you loved the show when you were kids.” They told her. “It was one of the things we spoke about before he uh.”

“Thank you.” She whispered as she gave them a hug, their arms instantly wrapped around her waist.

“Dance with me?” They requested as White Christmas played through the speakers. Wanda’s arms moved up around their neck as their hands remained on her hips, both swaying to the gentle rhythm of the song. A smile on Wanda’s face as their breakfast remained untouched.

“Thank you for this.” She told them as she looked up into their eyes.

“You don’t have to say it.” They told her gently. “Just seeing this smile is all the thanks I need.”

“Mistletoe.” Wanda pointed up above them as the two chuckled.

“Stark.” They both spoke in unison before looking back at each other.

“Isn’t that sort of a tradition too?” She asked with her lip between her teeth.

“It is.” They confirmed. “But we don’t.” They were cut off by her lips on their own. Pouring every emotion and feeling into the kiss, the two feeling complete for the first time in their lonely lives.

It seems we are getting into the stage where Ryan Reynolds is EVERYWHERE and i can't seem to escape him even tho i very much want to. Seriously, i open Instagram, Ryan Reynolds, i open Tumbrl, Ryan Reynolds, i watch Youtube, i get hit with a Ryan Reynolds video or ad, now even in my siblings stories i see Ryan Reynolds because they're a Stray Kids fan just like Ryan and now he's heavily collaborating with the group. It doesn't help that i am not even looking forward to Deadpool 3 and at this point find Ryan anoying and cringe in the "middle-aged dad trying to be cool and hip" way, for whitch i am propably gonna get crucified.

i think ryan is taking the whole “omg he is LITERALLY deadpool” sentiment that fans slather him with and running with it but you know what, let the kid have fun. hollywood could do worse. they could have cast, I don’t know, jared leto or something. ryan is harmless and annoying. and like, wade is kind of annoying too. hand wave. it’s fine. it’s fine. like. Have you seen The Truman Show? If not let me just recap it for you. Some TV director/producer dude had the idea to create a TV show that followed a human life like 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It was the world's largest TV set, a whole island. Everyone in the town was in on it. Even his best friend. His parents weren't his real parents. He finds out in the end and tries to escape.

Anyways, it's interesting I think. Jim Carrey plays Truman. Give it a gander if you'd like.

So here's my Sterek idea. Inspired by The Truman Show.

First of all, the supernatural world is known. Maybe there's even like a Men in Black situation where government agencies specialize in this type of stuff. OR maybe aliens exist too. Who knows?

Anyways, Stiles is a supernatural creature. A very powerful one. Powerful enough to destroy the world if he wanted. But here's the thing, he has no idea.

He thinks he's just a normal human from a normal small town in the middle of a normal little nowhere. Nothing crazy ever happens to him. Really, the only bad thing to happen is his mother getting sick and passing away. Other than that, he's really lived a golden life.

He dreams of travel but he can't just leave his dad behind alone. And what about Scott? His best friend needs him too. So he's never even left Beacon Hills.

Weird stuff starts happening when Derek Hale blows into town. It was a huge tragedy when his whole family died in a fire. Why would he come back?

Anyways... so Stiles is an orphaned little baby who could one day destroy the world if he ever awakened his powers. So what does the government do? They put him in a little small town with some agents to raise him as their son. They infiltrate the town easily enough. And as he grows up, the town builds up around him, actual townspeople slowly being replaced with just agents instead. The Hales are a stubborn group though. When the gov finally convince them to leave they had to make up a pretty great story: house fire.

His "mom"? Claudia? An agent. She's alive and well but she got attached and wanted to tell him the truth. So she had to be "killed". And his dad? The sheriff? He's attached too. But he doesn't say anything because he doesn't want to be "killed" off.

You see what I'm doing here? Stiles' whole life is a lie. His entire experience has been curated by the government in the hopes that they keep his power locked up. Why didn't they just kill him as a baby? They wanted the chance to use his power if it even came to be. He could be an ultimate weapon.

Anyways..... yeah it needs some work but that's the gist.

Why do people think adhering to lore will make a good story?

Why do you rely on "respecting the lore" to be your reason for disliking something? Maybe the lore needs to be disrespected. Perhaps what you respected from the original set of writer's had PROBLEMS. Could be the new writer's want to do something different in this world of rehashes or something.

It could also go wrong, and even kill the reason you love the story. So let's look at two different examples of adaptations of video games. Sonic and Halo…not perfect I know but stick with me.

I should also mention I enjoy the Halo show and the Sonic movies irritate me with it's changes.

Let's take a look at the similarities of the both:

Let's take a look at the differences now:

The Sonic movies are beloved by many of it's fans

The Halo show is just discourse town and hated by many of it's fans (The tide of this is turning. I might come back to this.)

The Sonic movie's demographic is children

The Halo show's demographic is adults

The Sonic movie is allergic to the game's music

The Halo show has used several themes and music styles from the games

Halo is military sci-fi

Sonic is shonen

We can ignore those last two. I'm just salty the Sonic movies don't really use any of the game's AMAZING music or hire any of those composers to help out or EVEN JUST, HOVER AROUND THE VIBE OF THOSE OSTs! Actually let's not ignore it, because that's a good point to start with. Despite such an annoyance in my eyes, the Sonic fanbase hasn't made much a stink about it. And we take a look at Halo and throw many different fires that the show doesn't use the OST. Now how could that be? Didn't I just mention they actually use themes from the games?

Oh yes, the Halo show even uses THE Halo Theme in several key moments. So why are the complaints brought up? Well so I can go to sleep at a decent time I'll get to the point, or a point. I've noticed many different aspects going for and against each franchise adaptation into live action. One being the audience each genre brings, military sci-fi usually brings in those wiki types who act all high and mighty like they've read the extended lore but all they've done is quote a wiki. Or worse, a youtube video. Shonen can run quite hard on cool factor, and less on lore trappings. Even if people fixate on power levels, a story can move in and out of an establish power scale and still keep an audience…if it's fucking cool.

Halo by and large, has a pretty consistent quality. With an aged fanbase who from day 1 hates anything new.

Sonic I've noticed has changed a LOT, and has varying quality and all the fanbase begs for is something good.

That point isn't too good. Let's go back to Halo :3 The point from before was speaking to how despite the consistent quality the fans would have you believe the current company has killed Halo and never made a good game ever. Then you play them and see that even it's worse is still a fine game. And then you wonder, "Why do y'all act like these games are the worst thing ever? Do you not know worse games or can you not see your bias and act accordingly?"

The same goes with the show, while, not perfect…is fine even at it's worse. But they'll have you believe it's literal unwatchable dogshit. You look at any popular tweet about the show and it's probably going to be something changed from the lore and people acting like the sky is falling.

I see the Sonic movie show up and people are just enjoying the goober. Or quoting Idris Elba's knuckles. rip Tails Or Jim Carrey's eggman chewing the fuck out of the scene. Despite ALL OF THIS, being different. Because this audience isn't lore heavy sci-fi fans, they're shonen fans. It's cool factor, it's Knuckles stopping Sonic and taunting him. It's Super Sonic wiping the floor with a giant mech, it's Eggman being a charismatic confident jerk. Who cares i-oh wait, I'm getting a phone in…Sonic fans do not enjoy the human subplot….yea…yea. Okay. Makes sense, if you came from epic anime hedgehog moments, the comedic human subplot would probably do that. But it's not enough to make every Sonic movie tweet inevitably show up going, "Erm, but the movies suck though!"

Yes the Halo show has that. It's very annoying. But honestly sci-fi especially military sci-fi just has the problem. I don't know why, but it is annoying as hell. The mass demands lore, no not that one, no not that one; yanno the good lore. The one the audience liked as a child. The original one. The never changing lore; except the one that changed things but it was good!

Getting side tracked. There was a point here. Eh who cares, but I'll leave you with some wild shit I've seen.

"The Halo show is a Mass Effect show in disguise."

Evidence:

A Commander Shepard cameo in the dialouge in one scene referring to a Commander Shepard.

The show has Romance.

That's it. From what I've heard from Mass Effect fans, this take is even worse because you'd have to be media illiterate to relate the both. Or it's self admittance you know nothing of Mass Effect except it has romance.

"The Halo show disregards the games. The writers said so!"

The very first episode had several references to Halo CE. And the actual quote was more like, "We looked beyond the games." Which is extremely true because the more books I read, the more I noticed the inspirations for their choices.

For example in the first book the Main Director for the Spartan 2 Super Soldier program mentioned that she rejected the advice of wiping the Spartans memory. (or something to that effect). Her reasoning being that if they were to find out they were stolen from their parents, it won't bold well for their caretakers. So she went with just indoctrination. The show doesn't listen to this advice and guess what happens. A Spartan finds out about his past and doesn't take it well. This is used as evidence the show doesn't know the lore.

Taking a "what if" moment and exploring it. It's annoying. One can critique the pure indoctrination angle is a more psychologically interesting one but well, that's not what this post is about. This is more about how people act like the lack of KNOWLEDGE of lore is the fault.

And with Season 2 taking a different direction and even more characters more in-line with the extended lore depictions of themselves….this still happens. "The alien ship looks bad because they don't know the LORE man. Do they not know the lore???"

"I will act like choices I don't like are because of ignorance or arrogance from the writers, and not a creative decision I disagree with."

i've had the house to myself this weekend so i decided to marathon a bunch of movies that have been on my watchlist for aaages. here they are ranked bc i love making lists lmao:

Game Night: this one was far and away my favorite...it's a fun, clever mystery that's also funny as shit. rachel mcadams is the queen of comedy and also waving a loaded gun around like a crazy person. fuckin 10/10, you guys

I Love You Phillip Morris: listen. i avoid jim carrey like the plague - it's nothing personal, his face just irritates the shit out of me. but i'm SO glad i gave this one a try anyway...it was so cute and touching and gay little ewan mcgregor with his gay little earring is genuinely the softest, sweetest thing to ever exist. it makes complete sense that someone would become a conman for him lmao. 10/10

Bullet Train: thee action comedy lbr!! shoutout to @seeinhindsight for reccing this one to me. it was so well done...with all the winding storylines and running gags it easily could have been a tonal mess, but i feel like they knocked it outta the park. also the steady stream of "oh shit this guy's in it too???" was fun as hell. 9/10 just bc some parts made me sad and my movie ratings are based solely on how they Make Me Feel, not any objectivity lol

Attack The Block: my brain the whole time: YEAH BOY(EGA)!!!! an alien invasion movie with a Message and pre-star wars john boyega?? that was always gonna be a slam dunk for me. though i do gotta say watching british movies as an american is always jarring as hell bc there's no guns. it feels like the weirdest kind of unreality. anyways 8/10

This Is Where I Leave You: slowing things down and getting way more Serious here but i was surprised by how much i liked this one (though maybe i shouldn't have been, since dysfunctional families/siblings are kinda my bread and butter lmao). the surprise lesbianism-slash-lowkey-polyamory definitely elevated it, too! 7/10

Shattered Glass: 100% the movie you gotta show people when they try to say hayden christensen sucks at his job bc uhhh he ate that shit up. not to be #me about it, but if that dude can be that fucking cute the whole time and still make me wanna throttle him within an inch of his life, you know he was doing something right. 6/10

As Above, So Below: i was bummed at first when i realized it was one of those found footage horror dealios, but i actually ended up really liking it. and honestly for the setting, i think found footage really was the only way to go. the concept was super interesting and the horror aspects were sufficiently creepy without being enough to give me nightmares, which is about all my babyass can handle. 6/10

Everybody Wants Some!!: yeah the hoechlin 80's movie lol. it was fun! the characters were likable for the most part! the vibes were good! but B's cannot live on vibes alone (that's a bible verse, i'm p sure) so i was left wondering what the Point was. i am not the target audience for hangout movies, i'll tell you that lmao. 3.5/10

What I think Troy and Abed would think of my favorite movies. Yes I am still alive

1. Midnight cowboy

Troy would cry. Troy would cry so hard he has to be consoled all night and then a little more in the morning. I think Abed would start doing that little "surprise yourself in the mirror" thing that Joe does and give himself a little "well there you are you handsome devil you!" Everyone once in a while too. They could probably see themselves in the relationship between Rico and Joe a bit - imagining what they would do if they were living in a foreclosed apartment with no money to speak of. Also whenever Abed gets sick and starts coughing a lot Troy has a little panic like "what if" and refuses to take him anywhere he wants to go

2. Clue

This one's not so much my favorite anymore because I was kinda sorta in a production of it and it's just ough a bit boring now, BUT, i dont think Abed would really like it. Like he would like it, but it wouldnt be his favorite. Troy on the other hand INSISTS they be Mrs. White and Wadsworth for Halloween because he wants to see Abed with a fuckass bob wig. Also, most of the jokes Abed would have to explain to Troy and after the explanation he would go "oooohhhhh" and burst out laughing. Anyone who wasn't Abed would find it annoying

3. The Truman Show

Fuck Jim Carrey. Anyway, this one fucks with both of them. for like a week they're all doing that thing where they look around trying to spot a film crew. Abed stops making meta jokes for a bit just to try and catch someone lacking. then they interrogate each other and are like "this is ridiculous we're not on a TV show." Little do they know. Abed likes seeing Jim Carrey in a more serious role (and hates his guts), while Troy just sits there in awe the whole time.

4. Don't feed the muse

Troy would watch the first theory and send it to Abed as a joke, and then keeps doing that with the other theories until the first Alex appearance and Abed is like "wait wait. Now hold on" and becomes obsessed with it. When a new theory would come out he would RUN to Troy so they could watch it together. Abed gives his own theories for an hour after the video every time, there's an indent in the floor where he places. Troy just thinks it's cool. He also doesn't get the ending. He also thinks the character of muse!Alex is hot but in a "I am feeling things that I do not want to express out loud but why does he make me feel like that" way

Also, fun fact, in remedial chaos theory, Toby works for a restaurant called Pizza time pizza. It also has the word theory in the title. Coincidence? I think not... Alex Bale was behind that episode all along

Yandere Stobotnik x Platonic Reader Warnings and Talks!

VERY LONG

CW FOR ENTIRE FIC: Kidnapping, Violence, Implied murder, Explicit murder, Swearing, Death, Trauma, and explicit / implicit threatening. I WILL PUT WARNINGS AT EACH CHAPTER AS WELL.

This is mostly going to be me talking about the book's plot and characters in detail, but if you don't want to know what I have in mind and want to go ahead and read, the first chapter should be up when I publish this just know that this(this being the overview chapter) is like ~4.6 pages. 

My hope is that my writing is realistic, the world is not a "perfect world" where the only thing wrong is the Yandere itself. I will try to make it be realistic in how people talk, stutter, need clarification after hearing sentences, have tics (verbal + nonverbal)  and have things wrong with them. A preposterous idea, I know, but I plan on the MC having trauma about Robotnik and [the plot of the book], I plan on people having a reaction out of things. In the second movie, some of what they wanted to do with the human characters honestly sucked, there isn't much of the human reactions to stuff that wasn't played as a joke [Wade being held hostage by a man who is honestly, much smarter than anyone else - it was just played as a joke, I get it, Sonic 2 was a comedy, but I plan on something a little different.] 

Anyway, I have way to many ideas for this, so it's less likely to be coherent the more this goes on unless I can make up my mind. I decided to make this because it's been on my mind and I haven't seen any for this man soo...  I honestly really love Platonic and Romantic Yanderes but Platonic Robotnik has been on my mind lately.

 Y/n ideas: What I have in mind for Y/N is that they are a little ambiguous depending on certain things ( Such as preference [Theatre kid, Band kid, Dog preferring, Cat preferring, etc.] or looks [Hair, Skin tone, Body type, etc.]) But have defined traits as personality goes;  a Chronically online or a bookworm MC, Y/n is in fact going to be a chronically online MC 1, for the fun of it, and 2, because I can't think of a different personality that may go along with the personality that of Robotnik and Stone. MC will also have 2 mental illnesses (both of which I have been diagnosed with) because I know that it will come out in my writing because of my basis of MC, which I reference to myself. I have been diagnosed with OCD, and anxiety.

(OCD has different types, mine is more pattern than cause related, ex: Hyper focus on a pattern [numbers, pages, days, etc.] or if I don't sit in the same spot everyday then I get bad luck. A good example of passive OCD would be Yes Man featuring Jim Carrey ( *Spoiler to Yes Man* as he notices when he says no, he either gets hurt [him falling down the stairs and the dog after saying no to the old lady] or something bad happens, causing him to notice such patterns and develop a fear of saying no). Sorry I just get mad when people say OCD is just washing your hands a lot or everything has to be neat, because they don't know or bother to learn. OCD is more than that, it is about having control in your life.

ANYWAY, as you may have noticed with the previous paragraphs, I tend to break them up according to how long they are or the information given, not 3-5 sentences, I also have a habit of putting a lot of commas in, but to me, they need to be where if you were speaking, you would take a pause because of how the English language is spoken. 

To bring me back to my point of Y/n's character, I said that Y/N would be a Chronically online MC, what I mean by that is they are not so chronically online that they start arguments for the sake of it, more so that they don't know how to talk or interact outside of it, so they bring the internet into their personality by: recreating memes that they found funny in order to seem appealing to the person they are trying to befriend, bringing up things that they found on the internet, specifically talking about fandoms and outside of that, have a hard time trying to talk to people and purposefully bring the subject back to something that they can talk about, and end up being more rude than they mean to because it's the internet, of course there are mean people, so you end up being more rude than you expect in real life because you expect the same hostility that people show online to show in the real world.

On the point of me trying to be ambiguous, I will try to be as ambiguous as I can when writing so that you can leave things to your interpretation of your version of Y/N, such as: "It's a glowstick from one of my performances … " This leaves it up for interpretation as to what performance it was, such as a theatre play, an art show, band show, choir, sports, etc. As to what Y/n looks like, I don't think I particularly care, or will provide such instances minus hair being mentioned occasionally. However, I must mention that I will be having the second language that Y/N knows / is learning is German, so that I don't have to rely on Google translate, I may mess up occasionally though, I am still learning.

I forgot to write the backstory so here's a general overview: Mom + Dad = dead. -So mom dies from a heart attack when you were three, Dad dies in service of the military so then Tom took you in and you have been living there for some number of years, Uh, Age is around 14-15. Smart enough to shut the fuck up when needed but not so smart that they are on Genius levels or anything. Tom, Maddie and Y/n's relationship is loosely based off of me and my parents, just going to force more awkwardness in because Y/n is a technical adoption, however Y/n is comfortable enough to open up, Y/n won't open up about their imposter syndrome or call them "Mom" or "Dad" because Y/n still misses their biological family.

I think that's it on Y/N for now.

Robotnik ideas:  Of course Robotnik will be OOC because of the nature of Yandere, but I will try to keep to both my idea of this version of Robotnik and the Fandom's version. In my head there is a clear difference between the two movies and their versions, The first movie version has a poised, regal villain, that slowly delves deeper into rage as the one opponent, one enemy of his that will not die (and also the fact that Sonic can be the one thing that can power the machines without needing batteries or man made electricity, thus creating the world that Robotnik wishes to have, a world with just him and his machines, but Sonic won't let that dream be fulfilled no matter how "righteous" the dream is.) - based off of previous aggression issues stated before from Robotnik threating Tom, as well as the bully and the one dude in the bar. The second movie, however, is much different in the way that he feels like a villain that has now had everything taken away from him and he is now on his last nerve and has snapped at some point in time. 

Stone Ideas: Of course, it'll be easy to stay with my version of Stone because a lot of fans agree that Stone is in love with Robotnik, this make him an easy character to stick with, especially with so few lines compared to others related to the plot.

Plot/ notes to keep me on track and not go off the rails with a sonic fanfiction 

This will go through both Movie 1 and Movie 2. 

We have some set up in the first chapter, show people what it'll look like with Y/N in the movie, also show what it was like with Y/N there, show some of Y/n personality and show off the personality with the rest of the cast. I guess Sonic shows up too-?. 

So Y/n is more of a scaredy cat; instead of Y/n constantly being 'sassy' to Robotnik or Stone, Y/n understands the amount of danger that they are in -especially after Tom is labeled as a domestic terrorist.- and would rather come out of this relatively trauma free which leads to Y/n being more of a doormat then intended. 

This means that Y/n will be quiet and less outspoken after a certain point because Y/n knows when to shut up and be a people pleaser - this does not mean that Y/n is submissive, just smart enough to shut up. 

After the interaction with Tom, Y/n gets scared of Robotnik a little, it is kinda scary to see someone who just threatened to torture your parental guardian, and seeing them have the power to call someone a domestic terrorist, therefore the ability to do virtually whatever to the little town or the people in the name of protecting the country, you of course, wish to not piss said person off, which kickstarts a little portion of why Robotnik gets obsessed with Y/n and Stone.

Something that I noticed about the second movie is that no one seems to care that Stone, someone who is working for the government, actively tried to kill the blue blur, gets to stay at town and everyone's fine with this? Sonic doesn't have any aggression or grudges against someone who wanted to take him apart? No, not in my fanfiction.

earth girls are easy (1988) - fucking LOVE this movie!!! such a fun time. horny aliens crash their spaceship on earth + get taken in by a human woman. also it's a musical comedy + the aliens are played by jeff goldblum jim carrey and damon wayans

hell comes to frogtown (1988) - also. obsessed w this one. post-apocalyptic world where society is a matriarchy + humans need 2 repopulate. protagonist is a Manly Man who has been discovered to have a Mega-High Sperm Count, making him a government asset so a sexy military doctor locks him up in a chastity cage 2 conserve his precious sperm. also there are mutated frog people + they kidnapped a bunch of ~fertile~ human women to keep as sex slaves so Manly Man needs 2 accompany sexy military doctor + sexy soldier to go rescue the ladies from Frogtown so he can fuck them <3 also his name is Sam Hell. hence. 'hell comes to frogtown'

clue (1985) - based on the board game!! murder mystery comedy w wacky characters + an ending that is oh-so-fun

return to oz (1985) - sequel to 'the wizard of oz' that is like. 10 times darker + weirder + creepier + definitely scarred me + my twin when we watched it as children lol. dorothy won't stop talking abt oz so she's taken 2 a mental institution for electroshock therapy. queue dramatic storm + sudden return to oz except the city is in ruins + dorothy needs 2 save the day

aliens (1986) - sequel to alien (1979) which just missed the cutoff for making this list + i also recommend--but u don't NEED 2 watch it 2 watch this movie. outer space creature feature meets slasher survival horror. xenomorph i love u <3

the thing (1982) - another sci-fi alien horror but this time it follows a group of researchers in the arctic who encounter an alien that can change shape 2 look like any of them. queue paranoia. there's also a more modern remake of this movie if i'm not mistaken

day of the dead (1985) - probably romero's least well-known zombie movie lol but a fun one nonetheless! good if u like 80s movies + zombie movies which. i do <3

the shining (1980) - oooh artsy spooky hotel horror.....a classic to be honest....

the last unicorn (1982) - ANOTHER favorite movie of all time for me!!!! unicorn who lives in isolation in a forest overhears two humans talking about how there are no more unicorns in the world + is like what i can't be the only one left...so she sets out on an adventure 2 try and find out what happened 2 all the unicorns <3 another movie that scarred me as a child bc of how creepy + dark it was

nausicaa of the valley of the wind (1984) - studio ghibli <3 this is one of my fave ghibli films. post-apocalyptic wasteland where giant bugs roam the earth....amazing

castle in the sky (1986) - more ghibli! girl w mysterious magic necklace meets boy who is searching for castle in the sky. also they are being chased by pirates + creepy government agents. FUN

kiki's delivery service (1989) - aaaaand more ghibli. teenage witch sets out 2 make her way in the world + encounters existential dread <3

classics:

heathers (1988) - veronica decides that she's sick of her mean-girl popular friendgroup + at the same time meets Mysterious New Boy. when she complains 2 him abt her friends he starts killing them <3

the princess bride (1987) - based on the book (which i also recommend!!); i feel like everyone knows this movie but. basically fairytale-esque romance abt a girl named buttercup who falls in love w a farmboy named wesley but then wesley gets murdered by pirates...or so it seems....

ferris bueller's day off (1986) - teenagers decide 2 skip school + run amok in chicago. wahoo!!

Honestly I was pleasantly surprised by the first one and I loved the second one.

I was really expecting to hate it because I DESPISE movie adaptations where they just throw a known cartoon character (normally CGI’d heavily to look “realistic” but instead they just look horrifying) into a world full of live action humans that are bumbling idiots (movies like Woody Woodpecker (2017), Garfield (2004), The Smurfs (2011)). They actually make me gag; They’re so unpleasant to look at and also screw seeing them in the human world lol! I don’t care about that! I’m already interested in your character, I don’t need you to draw me in by having some dopey humans in there.

And even though the STH movies do that, I feel like they got away from that in the second one and focused more on Sonic and friends which I loved. And me dogging on having humans in these movies is no slight against Jim Carrey’s Eggman. I loved him to death.

I was happy with the final designs the characters ended up having and I loved the voice actors! AND KNUCKLES’ SCRUNKLY SNOOT! That was my favorite part of the whole movie was seeing him crinkle his snout oh my gosh what an angy cutie.

All that being said, I still would have loved if they hadn’t made it live action at all. My favorite adaptations are where they keep it in its own world and replicate the original style or at least enhance it in a way that pays homage to what we know (The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023), Captain Underpants (2017), etc). That’s what is most fun about cartoons, it can look however you want and doesn’t have to be hyper realistic!

Anyway, I am looking forward to Sonic 3! I don’t think I’ll be doing fan art of the movies but hey maybe I’ll be so hyped after seeing the third then I will.

The Truman Show.

It's been a while since I've finished this movie. Thought I'd write about how amazing it was, and how great the acting was; or how amazing Jim Carrey is. I even wrote up a draft and saved it. But I never came close to posting it. Because I don't think that's not exactly how the movie communicated with me. It wasn't the director name, or Jim Carrey. It was one particular scene that stayed with me in the movie. And I loved to interpret it in my own way and take it as a life lesson.

It was the final sequence. The scene where Truman was finally able to find the exit to his life of lies. A life he had been comfortable with for years. A lie, but still a life. A life with loads of familiarities, comfort and love. Fake as it is, but still. He wanted to leave all that behind and enter the door with uncertainties. A door that would take him to a place that didn't cater to him. The voice calls to Truman. "You can't leave, Truman. You belong here." Jim Carrey captures a hesitant Truman perfectly. He hesitates. And yet, he takes the step. And he moves on. Stepping into the real life. That's all that mattered at that moment. He was able to take that first step.

I think that moment alone stood out to me the most. The hesitant man, fearful of what lies ahead, yet taking that first step. Cause it's been days and I still remember the scene. I might've forgotten most of the characters, but I can still remember that scene. And of course, his iconic "In case I don't see ya".

The Truman Show is beautiful movie. For some, it's about propaganda, what having control over information can do. For some, it's about modern society and consumerism: showed beautifully by the lack of attention of the viewers in the movie. And for maybe a lot of us, it's about taking that first step. Almost contradictory, how he took his actual first steps at the end of the movie. I liked this show a lot, and would recommend it to a lot of people. It's well paced, Jim Carrey is wonderful in it, you find yourself rooting for Truman and it's an all around feel-good movie. 8/10, would watch again some day with my family. And the director also directed Dead Poets Society, just an interesting lil fact.

Chappelle opens the special by telling a story about visiting Jim Carrey while he was shooting the 1999 film “Man on the Moon,” where the actor famously went method on set while portraying comedian Andy Kaufman. Dave recalls being “very disappointed” that he spent the day speaking to Carrey pretending to be Kaufman, ending by saying, “That’s how trans people make me feel.”

He then said he was going to transition to joking about “handicapped” people instead because “they’re not as organized as the gays. And I love punching down.”

A few minutes later, Chappelle revisited the topic, saying, “To be honest with you, I’ve been trying to repair my relationship with the transgender community cause I don’t want them to think that I don’t like them. You know how I’ve been repairing it? I wrote a play. I did. Cause I know that gays love plays. It’s a very sad play, but it’s moving. It’s about a Black transgender woman whose pronoun is, sadly, n***a. It’s a tear-jerker. At the end of the play she dies of loneliness cause white liberals don’t know how to speak to her. It’s sad.”

Later, he quipped, “God forbid I ever go to jail. But if I do, I hope it’s in California. Soon as the judge sentences me, I’ll be like, ‘Before you sentence me, I want the court to know I identify as a woman. Send me to a woman’s jail.’ As soon I get in there, you know what I’mma be doing. ‘Give me your fruit cocktail, bitch, before I knock your motherfucking teeth out. I’m a girl, just like you, bitch. Come here and suck this girl dick I got. Don’t make me explain myself. I’m a girl.'”

Chappelle also said the attacker “had a knife that identified as a gun” and “I triggered them because I had done LBGTQ [sic] jokes and it turns out this fella was a ‘B.'” He also joked that, knowing the attacker was bisexual, he “could have been raped.”

According to this site, Chappelle's net worth is $70 million. A more timely comparison to the below screenshot would be Forbes' Celebrity 100 Earnings list that had him at #98 (for $35 million) as of 7/15/2018.
