#poorly drawn mdzs #mdzs #wei wuxian #granny wen #a-yuan #It's always fascinating how colours translate from the page to the screen.#It would probably surprise a lot of people to see what some of these comics actually look like in physical form.#My lighter colours takes about 3-4 washes before it shows up on scan which means it tends to ripple the page.#And my yellows and oranges are drastically different colours when scanned compared to the ink colour.#There's about 20 or so comics where everyone's hair is purple - because it scanned in the exact same colour as my light grey.#Wait my book is right here in front of me so I can...yeah...Comics 57-77 were indeed purple.#This is all to say - is it not fascinating how what we see is often not the full truth of what the subject truly is?#Is it not fascinating to open another episode that reminds us that despite everyone's claims they could totally spot the evil YLLZ-#-The man walks around among them for months as no more than a man haggling for deals like the rest.#It's almost as if he's just a person. It's almost as if none of us - no matter what we do are really anything more than just a person.#Your good acts will be overtaken by how other's interpret you in negative light.#Just as easily are people willing to forgive crueler actions if they hold you in high esteem.#But what's real? Is the page I hold the real version of this comic? Is it the one you look at?#Is the man known as Wuxian the most himself when he is alone or on the battlefield?#Perhaps he is and has always been a scared orphan boy lost in the market.#I think there is no good answer to any of these questions.#But I do know that panic rising in WWX as he frantically looks for A-yuan was for more than one boy.#To be human is to have layers around a delicate center. We only really grow around our wounds from childhood.#In other words; Donkey from Shrek would also probably call Wei Wuxian an onion. I'll see myself out now.

I will never be over Leo’s 4D chess play in “Many Unhappy Returns”. Like, just in general it is a spectacle to see this character who we’ve seen goofing around time and time again, who’s only sometimes decided to take things seriously, only to show him making a maneuver like that.

And here’s what gets me the most about his plan against Big Mama: he comes up with it on the spot. The second he sees that Big Mama has the solution they need, he’s already in game mode.

It is so satisfying watching the episode back when you realize his plan, because he literally sets the stage entirely for a decisive victory. He sees that the champion is a kraken, and comes up with both the solution to defeating it and a reasonable excuse to get that solution into the battle with them on the fly:

“Like your champ aaand those six guys. In fact, we don’t want this over too quickly. You should armor up those rookies. The whole shebang. Especially with these pointy helmets.”

And this is why giving him teleportation powers is perfect, too. He analyzes the battlefield and makes use of all the assets, moving pieces around to guarantee a win. It is honestly so impressive to witness and one of my favorite parts of his character.

Neither the whistle of the shell, nor the buzzing of the drone, nor even the sound of the launch. I remember smth(blood) pouring into my eye. I raised my left hand to wipe my cheek...

There was no pain at all. I ran to the car. Surprisingly, it was intact. I got in and drove away. The most horrifying injuries I saw at the stabilization point were cranio-cerebral injuries

When a pink mess that used to be responsible for thoughts, feelings, and memories spills from a hole in the head onto a white sheet.

Severed arms and legs, intestines neatly folded into a T-shirt, holes in the chest from which air escapes with a whistling sound—these can all be repaired. The essence of a person will live on, love, dream.

But the empty gaze of those who have lost themselves due to a traumatic brain injury scares me more than anything else...

...With my right hand, I steered the wheel, while with my left hand, I tried to feel my head to see if any foreign "artifacts of war" were sticking out of it. I even took a selfie to assess the extent of the damage to the "decision-making center" (my head).

Only after 10 minutes did I notice that blood was also flowing from my hand. I thought I needed to bandage it... At the next crossroads, I suddenly forgot where to go. It felt like I was here for the first time. Although I had already driven through the village twenty times.

A jeep drove by. I thought I should probably ask for help. But if they transferred me and took me to the stabilization point, I would have to leave my "Discovery" here, and then those bastards(russian soldiers) would definitely wreck it.

I didn't leave it either at the crossing in Bakhmut or in Avdiyivka, and I absolutely refuse to leave it here. I’m just obligated to get to the stabilization point by myself.

What scared me was that my wounds didn’t hurt. Just a dull noise in my head, like a severe migraine.

Closer to Konstantynivka, I started to recognize the road. When I arrived at the stabilization point, I even parked the car by a tree and locked it...

Once the war kicked off enough that tobirama realized his death was a real possibility he gathered his most trusted and valued shinobi in a room for an emergency war meeting, locked the doors, and said 'whos gonna be hokage next NOSE GOES' and hiruzen was condemned to the hat cause he didn't tap his nose fast enough. Fortunately danzo was injured at the time so he didn't participate. He was pissed though.

okay so i've been legit insane about this since first seeing the text spoilers about the hospital battle being over and getting this bit

cuz my first instinct was that it's the legs on the stretcher that might possibly be spinner, which led to me scouring chapters 372+373. regarding the bandage-looking bit around the knees, it's very different from his usual knee-pad design, completely absent in his 370-372 big mode appearance, and maybe only a bit seen in 373? tho still a stretch.

i for real didn't even consider spinner being the guy carried by the dude with the swooping bangs lmao. it's similar-ish in hair spiking, face shape, and clawed hands, but at the same time. why put a shirt on him (FREE SPINNER'S TITS) but also why change his pants?? spinner has consistently been shown with dark pants. who the fuck would be changing him in these circumstances.

of course both considering whether spinner is the legs on the stretcher of the guy being carried, one must consider to what extent horikoshi is thinking about continuity outside what he has to fix for volume releases. this is something i am sympathetic towards given everything about the general mangaka's schedule and implications we've had about horikoshi's health.

however (pointed out to me by @codenamesazanka) the main thing keeping me uplifted that neither background figure is spinner and we don't actually know what has happened to him since chapter 373 is that skeptic, With All Adoration When Will he Show Hole, is explicitly shown arrested. skeptic has been invaluable as the techie character for the league, but doesn't have the same connection to shigaraki or had an explicit fulfilled-ish arc during the endgame.

like whatever spinner's overall popularity as a character in comparison you'd think he'd garner an explicit capture, in this same vein?

anyways. spinner truther for anyways STILL and forever.
