I certainly have my own concerns about the treatment of moo deng but um. well i think some of you may just be racist
#this ^ isn't directed at any post in particular but instead a lot of comments ive seen. but now im gonna talk about other posts down here#and prefacing anything i put in the tags here with DONT TAKE MY WORD FOR IT DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH#but the biggest post ive seen going around rn about moo deng being mistreated and the general quality of khao kheow zoo is questionable#claims that the enclosure is mostly concrete seem to be false from all the sources i can find#the concrete section looks like its specifically around the feeding area which fits zoo care guidelines which specify that the feeding area#be a surface that can be easily cleaned separate from the substrate and is a surface present in other zoos#the lack of deep water also seems to be purposeful? older videos of the same enclosure show deeper water areas#and looking back through the news every baby pygmy hippo announcement from every zoo i could find mentioned periods where the baby had to#learn to swim and was slowly introduced from shallow water to deeper water as time passed#this was also corroborated by fowlers zoo and wild animal medicine volume 8 which suggests keeping the mother dry and then slowly#introducing water as the baby grows as a potential best practice#damn im treating this like a paper now. anyway the negatives#there are absolutely things that strike me as bad eg. public access to the hippos and the way the keeper interacts with them#for the keeper stuff in particular i'd really like to see input from someone who has experience as a zookeeper with pygmy hippos#the public access is something that i def think the zoo could improve on and even older footage from years ago shows people sticking like#selfie sticks and shit off the side of the railings and right into the hippos faces#however again the zoo seems to be making efforts to curb visitor behavior which is tough when you go from having 800 visitors a day to#4000+ and you can't remodel the whole exhibit right then and there#all this to say! just do your own research and take somewhat inflammatory comments on the internet with a grain of salt#also just to make it clear im not making any sweeping statements on khao kheow or the treatment of moo deng im just summarizing what i foun#based on what's being said in the most popular post on the subject ive seen.#for the potential like three people who will read all this hi :) hope ur having a nice day

idk how to word my thoughts so sorry if this is incomprehensible but its really cool seeing sega portraying shadow as like. heroic and cool and highlighting his positive traits and making him the protagonist of an upcoming thing. after so long of just reducing him to asshole rival and even occasionally going as far as to label him (and the rest of team dark) as a villain or place him in the same category as characters like eggman. please for the love of god let sxs generations be some good shadow food
#like maybe his ways of doing things arent exactly the same as characters like sonic but hes not straight up evil either ....#actually i dont think sonic really fits the traditional idea of a hero either but thats a topic for another post i think#originally i didnt care about sonic generations remaster and i thought having shadow be a focus was a weird choice#but the second they dropped that trailer and i saw doom's eye and what shadow's stages actaully looked like i got soo excited#got even more excited when i read the description that said black doom is the main villain and we're going into shadows past again#ive always wished theyd done more with the black arms but just assumed id never see black doom again . Well here he is . somehow .#now that i actually know what theyre going for yeah i think it makes sense to place it during sonic generations#because the whole time eater thing is the perfect setup for visiting shadows whole deal again#and retelling that story in an easily accessible way for newer fans or people who dont have access to older games/consoles

i finally made a folder of my google docs re: twst fics/plannings and looking at the names are so fun bc a lot of them i didnt use the final fic name [if it got published] so sometimes it's just a placeholder [especially if it's just notes/ideas and not a fic] and some dont have a title at all and just auto used the first few words of the doc so i have like
i think only like 5ish of these have their ao3 titles on them / on two separate occasions i named an apple juice fic prompt doc the same thing except for literally just one has an extra ! and they were like 2 months apart......... i even checked bc i thought for some reason the doc duplicated themselves but no, those are just two completely different fics, they just both happened to be Apple Juice Kiss Prompts jvdjfdsljg i didnt do that w/any of the other kiss prompt docs but. whatever i guess!!
it's a fun guessing game on looking at the titles and trying to remember which ones they are. they date back to like 2021 when i moved from word docs to google so i could more easily share them with my friend since i wasnt really publishing anything at first lol.

Sometimes i really wish there were more agere posts about littles who are like, 9-15 years old. :(
it only ever seems to all be things 0-6 years old, mostly focused on pre-school to MAYBE first grade age.
I think itd be nice to have more posts that focus on later school years, and about social/cognitive norms for those ages too.
#its nice having baby stuff but like...i regress to anywhere between like. 8-16.#and even tho i like the idea of diapers and pacis and the usual Baby Things; i wanna be able to do fun homework or play games or read proper#chapter books n stuff... like 300 pages but still be considered a little.#everyone regresses and everyone copes differently and the general consensus that ive seen is pure absolvence of responsibility in lieu of a#caretaker instead of having a pretty decent amount of cognitive and social autonomy / WANTING to have some responsibilities#that are like. exclusive to the little. not like 'oh ur responsibility is to get my coat for work in the morning'#its like 'heres a daily list of things u should be taking care of#like feeding the cat brushing ur teeth and doing ur homework#then again; ive also noticed many people here who do regress are between like. 15-20? and those are the usual ages to be going thru#secondary schooling - higher education and i can understand not wanting to have more homework n stuff or even think about school as a little#and i dont blame them for that#sigh i just guess in general id like more older regressor posts to even out the pool#anyway sorry haha#🐰.txt

hi lawyer fans here is something from awhile ago involving a fancase i was working on for an alternate post-7yrs timeline. i will put a cut here because i dont know how interesting it is to anyone else <3
basically the gavinners were in the middle of working on a steel samurai musical that has had nothing but trouble befall it and that was all BEFORE daryan’s arrest. sad for them. but good for miles! because he has spent the last 7 years working on a bill regarding prison reform after his adventures in aai2 instead of doing whatever it is the post-aa4 retcon canon is. he’s been trying to get klavier to use his star power to sponsor it but the problem is that klavier has no interest in reforming anything. (especially since he’s very image conscious and he feels like sponsoring a prison reform bill after his brother has been even more thoroughly imprisoned+sentenced to death? whatever happens to him? (however bills like this work? i am not versed in law) would make it look like he was only doing it for his brother. don’t be mistaken, though. he is in a police-themed band that has police recruitment posters in their dressing room. he does not need any persuasion to be Tough On Crime)
however now that daryan’s arrest has revealed Some Trouble Afoot In The Criminal Justice System on top of the very bad steel samurai musical, klavier is desperate for a good bit of PR to give him control over the situation again and phoenix (stagehand on the steel samurai musical in his spare time. he is a theatre guy! he’s gotta do something! it can’t all be nights at the inventory and practicing your mysterious beanie-shadowed faces in the mirror) has arranged for him and miles to talk this out and klavier can put up a nice instagram photo showing he has talked to at least one person about Making Things Better Somehow to put his fans at ease again. all that has to happen is for miles to absolutely not go berserk about how bad the steel samurai musical is. you’ll never believe what happens next!

okay I'm answering this weeks later because I wanted to hijack your ask for my soapboxing sorry <3
now, lowhunt. I'm afraid the ask will already put this in the ship search but I'll just say this backwards term instead because it's not completely positive. I started shipping lowhunt after zeno (the voice actor for hunter) accidentally kind of leaked that they may become a thing before their first interaction, and I thought the oddity of it at the time was very endearing. nobody had thought of it before beyond niche shippers, and it kind of sounded cute. hunter was also my blorbo of the time period.
I'm very neutral on the ship now and that comes from two main reasons; one is the fanbase oversaturation, which is really just exacerbated by my second reason of the show itself not doing them any actual justice.
they just aren't given any actual interactions and more importantly dialogue in the show! I suppose they do interact, but it's always mute and short - willow isn't there or even involed in hunter's main plot beats so it gives me very little to believe in in regards to their chemistry. they didn't even let her say anything to hunter after he died. the confusing bit is that I highly suspect lowhunt was added to the plot post shortening, so it's hard to excuse the writers for being time-pressed when this was seemingly a factor within their control. my definitely mean but completely honest opinion is that lowhunt is so popular because fandom has The Urge to ship the white boy for various reasons. I think there's a lot of better things in the show and it kind of saddens me to see places like twitter devoid of most discussion that isn't about them.
that being said I appreciate the concept of hunter becoming a palisman carver and willow restoring the forests of palistrom wood so much, I wish they were given more things like that in the actual timespan of the show
#i never finished star so not answering the second one here but in short: would have been epic probably#the show has never treated willow well and will probably not ever at this point and thats going to extend to huntlow unfortunately#in my mind i enjoy it but in actuality i dont#as usual i have the complex of 'im the only one right about this and everyone else is wrong' i guess#the owl house#hunter toh#willow park#long post#im hiding this deep in the tags but honestly i think a lot of people are uhh attracted to hunter and want to imagine him in a relationship#ive seen a lot of oddly sexualized art of him and its almost always with willow - or art where he looks significantly older and manlier

Absolutely devastating for will. Just in general
