In light of recent events (cough Thunderbolts trailer cough) I have decided that more of my Marvel doodles deserve to be seen.

Also playing around with how I want to draw these people bc I have a feeling you’ll be seeing more of them.

Marvel: “Nothing.” *remembering how the Wizard straight up died*

See, while Billy was remembering that, he got this far off look of almost PTSD and that made the JL think something absolutely fucking horrible happened because he genuinely looked traumatised.

So they set out on a mission to find out what happened and see if maybe they can get the 2 to reconnect.

Wondy: “We have to find out what happened.”

Supes: “You’re right… so what do we know so far?”

Flash: “Nothing.”

Supes: “Is there anything that can suggest that we don’t know nothing…?”

Flash: “Well, whatever it was that happened was bad. Did you see how haunted he looked?”

GL: “Yeah. Yeah, so we know it was really bad. Is there any other way to find out what happened?”

Supes: “Maybe we could contact the wizard?”

Flash: “That’s a great idea! But uhm… how do you contact a wizard?”

They went to John Constantine then Zatanna then Dr Fate, and they all gave them nothing. Mostly because they didn’t know Shazam was the wizard who gave Captain Marvel his magic. They knew of Shazam, but they didn’t know they were the same person.

So, asking the magical people they knew was a bust. It seemed like their pipe dream of helping Marvel was for nought. That was until Marvel told them that he was gonna have to miss a meeting because he was fighting Black Adam.

Black Adam.

Gosh, why didn’t they think of it sooner? Him and Cap are brothers, aren’t they?

Black Adam: *flying back to Kahndaq after he got beaten*

JL: *intercept him*

Black Adam: “The Justice League… what do you want? I already told you I have no business with you, just Captain Marvel.”

Supes: “We know that. Captain Marvel is the reason we’re here actually.”

Black Adam: “He told you to kick me while I’m down?”

Supes: “What- No! We just have some personal concerns about him.”

Black Adam: “…What?”

Supes: “Did your guys’ dad ever do anything to you?”

Black Adam: “Excuse me?”

Supes: “Like anything traumatizing or…?”

Black Adam gave them the evil eye after giving them a confused stare.

Black Adam: “I’m leaving now.” *goes to continue flying back to Kahndaq*

2. Lightning out of a clear blue sky

Okay so lightning out of a clear blue sky, essentially I thought "man what if Billy had survivors guilt for not being with his family when they died" and "what if the fam dying in a plane accident and being killed by black Adam were not mutually exclusive (for the later dramatic reveal)"

The story would just be little sections of what happens to people when the lightning comes, sorry it's hard to explain!

Heck I'll just post the full wip here

Mostly im gonna make this longer, and add a bit of Mary getting her powers and Billy realizing that Adam killed his parents.

Lightning out of a clear blue sky

When the Batson’s plane goes down, people first say it’s a tragedy. Losing two brilliant archeologists and their young daughter in one lightning strike, what else could you call it? People mourn, but they also whisper.

They whisper about how no one else had been allowed to touch that tomb in centuries. About how Kahndaq had resisted their offers for excavation for years, out of fear of retribution. About how there wasn’t a cloud in the sky when lightning struck.

For a while people keep their heads down, enough stories of the dangerous Black Adam surviving the test of time to make them wary of such a sign.

But time passes and no god appears. The people of Kahndaq reclose it’s borders and sigh with relief to have been let off with just a warning.

C.C and Marilyn Batson were not superstitious people, but they were not arrogant either. They knew they didn’t know everything. That’s why they operated with such care. Such attention to local stories and mindfulness to their tradition.

Truthfully they both thought they had followed every warning, had done nothing but respect the man whose tomb the were studying. But in the instant between the strike and the bliss that followed, their second thought was that they had been wrong, that somehow they had tripped up and disrespected the ancient king.

For years Mary shrieks with fear when there is lightning in the sky, but she cannot remember why.

The day Billy first hears about the lightning, his temperature is still three degrees too high and leaves him confused as to why people were so shocked.

His parents were in the sky, that is where the lightning is. They shouldn’t be so upset that the lightning was there, they should be upset that his family didn’t come back down. They should feel just as torn to shreds as Billy does when he finally understands that his sister will never share his toys again, that his father will never read to him anymore, or that his mother will never sing him another song.

Instead all they care about is the lightning. A fevered kid’s mind decides that they must be right. The lightning is confusing because if the lightning got them, why hasn’t it gotten him?

Billy's been waiting for his lightning for a long time. It's not that he wants to get struck, no not even when he misses his parents the most does he really want to join them.

It's just that he has to.

(In case it's not obvious, the lightning strike that killed the Batson was adams returning lightning bolt, for the story I want Adam to come back and just lie low for a while, only lose it when. He realizes cap exists)

YES!!! Okay so Mae'rot is my character, she's a part of a team of characters that came from me thinking about if there was a Lantern team that was full of magical girls! Spencer was made by @andi-dromeda and he's technically a part of the flash fam, but he spends most of his time with the Lanterns.

CW for Death, bugs, body horror, ect. My characters are freaks guys

Mae is a part of a made up species of fungus people and she's the black lantern! I did rewrite the lantern lore a little because I thought what they did with the Pink and Black Lantern's specifically were stupid and boring.

The Pulchra Putredo are a people that worship death, although they themselves cannot die in the traditional sense. See they inhabit the land of Pulput, a floating island that was all that's left of an older, long forgotten planet, home to a piece of the Black Lantern's reactor core. No one knows where the Pulchra originated from but the first recorded records were of them turning the dry barren soil into a bustling hub of foliage, this is because though their bodies breakdown they become a part of the land. Which makes Pulput a living planet crawling with the overgrown bodies of everything that's ever died there.

It's easy to see why they grew to revere the concept of death, as this beautiful unattainable thing that they all reach for with open arms. Despite how much they all love death because they have no true concept of mortality none of them can wield it.

Until Mae. See she was originally Kryptonian but when the Pulchra came to collect what was left of the planet, they found a lone baby girl. And this was exciting, because she was born from death, and while she would live a long time she could die. She WOULD die, eventually. They take her to their planet, very far from any sun at all, and make her one of them. They do this basically allowing their roots and mold and whatnot to spread to her, inside and out she is overtaken by moss and spores. She's raised by a family of Ink Caps, which are the first mushrooms to begin growing from her skin which is weakened by the lack of sunlight.

The Pulchra are also a hive mind species! They all have something of a mental link to each other and Mae is included in this, although she's born only linked to her family instead of the entire species. She has to manually collect the others by becoming infected by their spores, and she can give this link to others by giving them hers!

Because she's so far from any kind of sun she's very sickly and weak with almost none of her Kryptonian powers and very little connection to her roots, and she has no desire to explore it. Because she's always on death's door with her health the lantern core reacts to her but she can't control it, mostly it just overwhelms her with the voices of the dead when she's near it. She's almost like a prophet to the Pulchra as the spirits come from past, present, and future and they can give her messages that she passes on.

It's only when she's older that she gets her ring, she dies on an excavation into a planet's ruins and is reanimated by the ring after rot and decay has had time to set in. She's stronger now ironically, no longer shambling about half unconscious, although now she's being consumed by multiple insects from her planet (a great honor, if death is their holy spirit, the land is their father, and the insects are the son) and she needs to feed on dead things to survive.

Her hobbies include gardening, rock collecting, learning dead languages, and grave robbing! She's close with my Yellow and Pink lanterns, she has a crush on the Indigo, and she's got a homoerotic rivalry with the White lantern (of which I also changed the lore for because these are magical girls and I have a theme here).

She now has a lesser version of the core's powers, so while she can control ghosts it's only ones that have died recently. She can reanimate things but they'd just be mindless puppets, not truly alive. She can cause people to age/decay rapidly (usually this acts like a bad sickness) and she can manipulate shadows instead of light. Along with the flight, strength, and durability the rings give all their users. While near gamma radiation she can access her Kryptonian powers but doesn't really like them so she uses Kryptonite to weaken herself.

Is she a horrific mass of maggots and rot? Yes. Does this exclude her from a magical girl transformation or sparkly outfit? Of course not!! I'm actually so mad that all the lantern suits are so boring like you can literally make them look however you want and you all look the same. I know the meta reason is because who wants to draw that many different suits but I don't care, all my girls are slaying.

All of the girls have three core motifs and a mix of different aesthetics that I'd draw from if I had artistic skill. Mae's are plague doctors, ink, and fungus and she prefers looser baggier clothes to make room for all of the creatures and plants growing out of her skin. She would prefer not wearing shoes at all, but because she's one big contaminant she has to wear very thick gloves and boots when interacting with people of Earth, and she usually wears her mask too because her appearance is generally pretty off-putting.

The other Kryptonians...well let's just say they're not super fond of her, and she really doesn't like them. They're insistent that she's an abomination, something that needs to be fixed, mostly they just feel bad for her, for her whole existence. Mae doesn't take kindly to their pity, this is everything she's ever aspired to be. She feels equally bad for them! It must be terribly lonely, isolated within their own flesh and mind, islands onto themselves, unfathomable even to each other. It's her worst nightmare and she tries to avoid them where possible.

Her people are pacifists so she only uses her abilities defensively and honestly isn't much for combat anyway, she believes that death is a gift that should come to people through natural means only, but this changes the longer she's on the team. As her character progresses she gradually decides some people should have to earn their death, and she's the person who should make them. This is the only time she uses her rapid decay powers. She rarely uses the ghost powers as she doesn't like disturbing their rest but she can be convinced by people she's close to, so she usually relies on shadow manipulation during battles.

Growing up with a species that only communicates through a mental link means she never learned how to talk! Her ring usually speaks for her, although she eventually learns some ASL the longer she's on earth. It has the default AI voice at first but when she learns how to change it I think she'd sound like Drusilla from Buffy the Vampire Slayer!

I won't say too much about Spencer but he's one of the people she's closest to, and the only person on earth who shares the link with her and her family. They have an obsessive kind of queer platonic relationship, where although they love each other it's not explicitly romantic and there's definitely nothing sexual about it. Not in human terms at least, the Pulchra have sex and relationship dynamics the likes of which we couldn't comprehend. They're the definition of soulmates and unfortunately I am obsessed with them.

We did a picnic their first day here which (I think) they loved, so mostly just family-friendly stuff around Liverpool... would love to go do something Beatles-related but I think Hazel and Vi would roll their eyes out of their heads. Children, right? I like making breakfast. Eggs, pancakes, bacon... cereal, but that doesn't count. I would love to learn how to better cook for the fam, that's a very kind offer. The opposite, actually, she thinks the caps are a little too American for her. She doesn't mind them too much when we're at home but if I wear them abroad... well. I can't even imagine the extent of his sneaker collection. It's got to be some kind of record breaking, right?

Fanfiction come to life - at least that's what I've heard people say. Never had a faster crash course in anything than when I started attending football games. Emily's been telling me about all the things that you two have been up to. So I'm hoping that you get everything that you want and soon. Do you have any plans for what you're going to do this week? Is there one meal that you enjoy cooking, at least? I feel like everyone has that one go to dish that they nail every time. I'll have to get you over for some cooking lessons when I'm not touring. You'll see how fun it is. I think you could pull it off. The baseball hats do it for her, huh? I love his sense of fashion. Minus the whole sneaker look with the suits. We're working on that one. But I don't think he's ever going to give that up. His sneaker collection is quite something.

ykw I've been saying for a long time that Bucky Barnes has gotten shit writing & treatment from marvel since 2015 so finding out a bunch of guys on twitter noticed the same thing. it proves in not crazy LOL, ever since that alanna superwholock fangirl got out on something shifted

it's like marvel saw Bucky's popularity jump from a genuinely top tier TWS adaptation in the MCU, but then got some higher up(maybe after the exec shake up that happened then) got mad at his new popularity and decided to start sidelining & scuttling character in 2015. & what crazy is not even the MCU adaptation that popularized him stayed safe writingwise, something on an exec-level gotta be happening

2015 def seems like the turning point, all good ideas for him and actual depth of character got thrown out the window and they just ride the wave of popularity of ppl who just vaguely like the Winter Soldier character design and make a random ass OC that's just a white guy a long hair and put it onto actual official comic pages for only a certain type of fangirl to screenshot and act like it's the best thing ever no matter how worse the writing keeps getting for him lol

is 2015 the year brubaker stopped writing him? I personally don't think anyone else has written him well (except maybe a few moments here and there). I'm not even a huge fan of mcu bucky (mostly because of the fandom tbh & because he has overshadowed more interesting characters like Sam) but I definitely think they did him super dirty after catws - the foundation was strong & it looks like they didn't know what to do & making a civil war movie was the wrong choice for so many reasons, but also because of what it did to bucky's character (and literally everyone else's but this isn't about them).

I think the mcu was, ultimately, not the right fit for the character (disney, for one, and also the homogenous nature of the films does not really allow for any stories that are unique/ serious/ introspective to be told & this is why barely any of their projects are actually good, quality-wise).

I know they made some weird choices with 616 bucky (space, thunderbolts etc.) but the characterization always felt off to me & also, there are much better stories that can be told with him. I feel like lately, he's kind of just been there (I need him to be free of the "cap-fam") & whatever lanzing & kelly did and are still doing had some potential imo but unfortunately, they can't write & they don't know bucky at all.

I feel like they need to bring brubaker back or at least hire writers who believe in doing research before writing a character.

As previously stated, Tony is an amazing dad

Your formative years were often times spent accompanying him on business trips so you can go sightseeing and do fun stuff

You know, make boring meetings full of people with terrible opinions a little more fun

And you better fucking believe he's gossiping to you about EVERYTHING

He's called it quits on meetings for today so now you're eating takeout together in the hotel while he spills all the tea to you

"And Roberts was just on my ass all day about the same questions I already answered, so…" he shrugs, taking a bite of food

"Ugh," you shudder in your mutual distaste for the asshole, and mutter under your breath, “that’s probably why his wife left him”

He laughs so hard he almost chokes

Yeah taking you with him was definitely a good idea

Because of all the traveling and all the time spent in meetings

And the fact that you’re both incredibly elusive and have a ridiculously high net worth 

You decide to pick up the occasional modeling gig when you’re traveling with your dad

He’s in meetings and press conferences about the future of stark industries and the avengers 

And you’re doing shoots with chanel and dior

It’s always fun and it’s nice to spend time with other people around your age in a similar position to yours

You’re probably spending time in the garage with him while he works

Just being in his presence is so comforting

After everything that’s happened, you can get really bad separation anxiety with him

It feels like as soon as you’re out of each others sight he’s attacked or kidnapped or horribly injured or missing

She’s awesome

But she’s not your dad

Whenever something happens to Tony, you usually just end up worrying together

But there are sometimes where even Pepper has to join the fight

And then you end up exactly where Tony didn’t want you: alone and terrified with no one to comfort you or look out for you

And yes you’re strong

You’re so fucking strong and capable and brave

You even have your own suit

Strictly to keep you protected he’d reminded you many times

If you’re anything like me it’s 100% pink with a little heart cut out for the chest light

But the thing is you shouldn’t have to take care of yourself and protect yourself in times like that

He just 

He wishes he had a few extra pairs of hands

So when things get dicey you still have someone with you

That’s actually a huge part of his motivation for recruiting Peter onto the team

He needs extra hands, extra help

After the whole vulture incident, he knows when this kid gets his mind made up on something there’s no distracting him from that goal

So yeah he blatantly disregarded everything Tony was telling him to do and can’t follow orders half the time, but he did sort of meet his goal of proving himself to Tony

How can he say no to that?

All this

Moving into the compound, hero training after school, meetings with the other avengers (!!!!)

Is a literal dream come true for Peter

For all the normal reasons

But also because guess who also lives at the compound??

You!!! 

You, his beautiful ethereal brilliant celebrity crush

That he now sleeps a few rooms away from 

Totally not heart pounding very normal situation he can totally handle without looking like a total dork in front of you

And living in the same building as you has done nothing but amplify his yearning

He was spacing out in a meeting once and Tony asked Vision to see what he was so wrapped up thinking about

It was yet another balcony soliloquy turned spiderman rescue daydream of you confessing your undying love to him, then him responding with something quippy and clever that makes you laugh that cute little laugh and look up at him with those gorgeous eyes, sparkling in the deep city lights while you look at him dreamily 

Vision: it, uh… seems private.

Tony thought he was thinking about boobs or something 

But no

He’s just very obviously mushy gushy in love with you

With the amount of longing sighs and heart eyes this boy shoots your way you’d think it would be obvious

Which is is

It’s very obvious to everyone except Peter, who thinks he’s hiding it pretty well

Peter has a habit of trying to impress you in training

Which either works great or is kind of embarrassing 

His very, painstakingly obvious crush on you would be annoying

If he wasn’t so endearing 

God you really did not expect the spider kid your dad mentioned in passing to be so… sunshiney???

He’s like a golden retriever puppy

You can practically see his tail wag when you enter the room

He’s so excited and eager to please and ready to prove himself 

You kind of can’t get mad at him just because of how sincere he is

You and your dad won’t admit this for a while

But peter’s growing on you

But he still has a lot to learn

And he still makes reckless decisions sometimes

And taking strategic, calculated risks can be okay on the battlefield 

But not when you’re on guard duty

Not when you have one objective - protecting you from any harm until whatever fight that’s happening is over

Between that and the fact that unfortunately for Peter, Tony is in fact aware of his crush on you

Again, he’s not good at hiding it

Which is yet another motivator for him to bring in the next new recruit

He’s a long way from the scrappy kid Tony met in Tennessee 

And now that he’s a little older, it’s clear as day that he’s ready to join the ranks of the avengers 

Like tony said, he needs as much help as he can get

Peter sees Harley and thinks friend?!

Harley takes one look you and his heart starts pounding

How could it not

He and peter are pretty similar in that way

Honestly???? You think he’s kind of fine too at first

Then you both open your mouths

And you find each other insufferable 

You’re both opinionated with a whole lot of confidence 

it was sort of inevitable that yeah, you’d butt heads almost immediately

For a long time, Harley really never thought he’d see Tony again

And yeah, part of that was the fact that once an adult left him they never came back

So now that he has this opportunity 

He’s not going to mess anything up

He’s going to excel

He’s going to so so far above and beyond that he cements his place on the team

He’s going to become such a valuable asset that they couldn’t dream of benching him

Which means he does everything he’s told to

And he does it to the nines 

Yeah he has his personal strengths and weaknesses that he’s working on 

But everyone on the team is surprised by how well he executes orders 

Even Cap the grandpa 

Who’s always going on about how kids these days don’t listen 

Which is always met with an “okay boomer” from everyone in a 5 mile radius 

Has no criticisms for Harley in that department 

And Tony notices this 

And he files that information away for later 

Peter notices something else about Harley

Which is the way he looks at you when you’re not looking 

Peter doesn’t like that

Between that and Harley’s very ambitious no bullshit attitude that seems to conflict instantly with Peter’s optimistic friendly attitude 

They don’t like each other that much 

And you and Harley definitely don’t seem to like each other much

And peter can’t even talk to you yet without choking up or blushing 

So yeah

The next generation of avengers isn’t off to the best start

It goes on like that for some time

You and harley butting heads, hoping you don’t notice the pink flush to his cheeks 

Harley and peter butting heads, both determined to be tony’s favorite 

Peter noticeably not being able to breathe right when you sit too close to him, something you’re actually starting to find

Cute???

Wow maybe you are going soft

The three of you doing homework together in the same room, silence deafeningly loud 

The tension is ramping up 

To the point where the others are starting to notice 

Nat checks on you guys while you’re doing homework together and is immediately thrown off by how tense the room feels

You, Peter, and Harley who just spent like 10 minutes roasting the shit out of each other in a way that’s totally not secretly flirting: “Yep, why do you ask :)”

It’s really just a matter of time before something happens

The next avengers battle, for tony to finally put in place the plan he’s been laying the groundwork for since he recruited Parker and Keener

Maybe a love confession or two 

Time will tell

[Music is a very big part of my life and I’m MOSTLY INCAPABLE of writing without music, so I just thought I'd share what I am listening to while writing this]

This week has been a bit messy hasn’t it? And to top the madness all off, though I’m sure we are all happy to see that JK is doing well, thanks to his IG updates, it would have been great to “hear” from Jimin as well 🥹at this point is like, I know you working but, help a sister out you know? Like we be “worrying”/hella selfish here in this neck of the woods, like … jimiii↗️↘️iiin, I MISS SO MUCH IT HURTS 😭. So I thought I’d stop by to write something … cute me thinks? I think we can all use some fluffy, tender and light STD: Speculations, Thoughts and Delulu. In fact, the idea for this post was the result of me reading this post → Jikook After Tokyo by @wingzie. So welcome to another long ass post! 

Though wingzie’s post was clearly about both JM and JK, I haven’t been able to shake off the image of Jimin blushing/being shy. I’ve always felt like Park Jimin is the kind of human being who, at least until circa pre-2018, would instantly wear his heart on his sleeve full-throttle. As of present, he seems to be much more in control with regards to the majority of emotions that he can control, sometimes even resorting to smart talk/ cynicism as a substitute as well. But oh boi, it used to be that we were always made aware of any kind of emotion he felt from little happiness and ecstasy to pet-peeves and straight up being bothered.

The only time we are now privy of a non-controlled emotion from Jimin is when he blushes/gets shy. There are infinite reasons why different people get shy. Some people get shy out of being complimented, some people get shy just being in the proximity of the person they maybe fancy, some people get shy when put on the spot, etc etc etc. When it comes to JM, what in my opinion, seems to be his shy trigger are situations where he REALLY doesn’t know what to do. So he “blushes” or becomes “shy”, so to say, and in his case it seems to happen mostly on 2 particular scenarios:

He is out of depts, not in his element, doesn't want us to know, and he is well aware that it will show on his face.

He hasn’t yet processed his feelings with regards to a certain situation. Hence, he hides his face so that we don’t see how he is feeling in that moment, before he himself can actually process what it is that he is even feeling.

Now, though JM has admitted on many occasions that he is indeed the shiest member of the band, people who are just focused on his performance persona, or just observe him within his comfort zone (which is for example anything with his members RUN BTS, BON VOYAGE etc) will not notice this side of him all, in fact they might even think that he is “capping”.

However, if you keep a closer eye on our dancing fallen-angel-who-actually-still-has-wings, you’ll pick up on his shy moments, which are usually a direct reaction to something that is happening or just happened. To begin with, all members LOVE to “flirt”with him you can harmlessly flirt with someone if you are close to said person and their S/O , or just pull him into “weird situations”, maybe just so they can see that cute blushing face he does. Other known Personalities also love complimenting him and in general JM just really gets flustered by regular attention and simple compliments. It really happens quite often, NGL he is so freaking cute, he knows it but can’t really handle his own cuteness, which makes everyone else act stupid: HE IS EFFING CUTE FAM, like the following:

BUT then … THEN … Then there is another type of JM shy/blushing reaction …

I hereby present to you the UJE: Unknown JK Effect.

The UJE is a reaction that is brought about for reasons that are for the most part unknown, or the actual cause itself is known but the reaction is still bizarre, meaning that in said particular moment, or instance, JK is doing absolutely nothing suspicious or worth blushing/being shy over, yet JM can’t seem to be able to control his reactions and turns into a shy/blushing mess. 

Back in the day, when JM was a little younger, and much more impulsive, it would even cause his own self to be disoriented for a second or two. For example when, during the Hondgae Fansign on February 26, 2017, JM placed his hand on JK’s neck and kissed it. I have no idea what made him do something so bold, but his following, momentary, lack of orientation probably was a visual representation of his brain going: “... Yo Bro! Whacchu doin’ Bro?! You ayte there Bro?!” Jin’s reaction was PRICELESS, even though, TBH with you, JK’s reaction was the MOST PECULIAR, but that is a story for another post … (The moment is starts at 2:33).

BUT, moving, as I kept looking into this “phenomenon” there seems to have been a few instances, 3 to be exact, where the UJE might have actually been directly connected to moments in the “Jikook Timeline” where there was a change in dynamic or something significant happening. Now, as always, the following are all MY speculation, MY opinion, hence, tread with caution:

INSTANCE 1: 2015 - “KOOLIET” WAKES UP

2015 is the year where JK seems to have decided “You know what? Fuck it!”. There are various accounts of the boys letting us know that JK is different on, as opposed to off camera, and at this point in time, from the different VLOGS, interviews and BANGTAN BOMBS we know that JM and JK are actually quite close. The whole JM chasing JK, JK ranking JM last, etc was regrettably all meant to provide entertainment in accordance to the entertainment norms of the time.

However, our Bangtan Boys had always been the exception to the rule, from the very conception. These are 7 humans, who start with following rules at the very start because they didn’t understand “the game” they were playing but even then, they already had very strong personalities and were very much set on their ways, beliefs and ideas and that's probably why BANG PD chose them to begin with. He was REALLY hoping that by choosing extraordinary beings, with the potential for greatness and with some sort of guidance, they would achieve something GREAT. Actually, I sometimes wonder when exactly was it that BANG PD had that moment where he went: “Shiiiiit … they the real real REAL deal!”

But as always, I digress … Back to the point! In the same way Jin decided to throw away his assigned “mysterious handsome character” in my opinion Tae never really acknowledged his character to begin with LOL, eventually JM became ready to let his true self out, hence, renounced the “macho unrequited-love character.” But, don’t go trippin’, JK didn’t snooze either. He sure saw and felt the change, INSTANTLY, and went “Ayte then. Imma also go for mine then. With all due respect, I respect all of y’all Hyungs, but … Imma need one of y’all hyung to get one thing straight  😬🥴 … 😏” 

And so JK got to work, and JM …JM … JM was caught off guard. Because the Golden Maknae started publicly changing the game, apparently, without letting him know. All of a sudden, JK publicly didn’t dislike him, JK publicly thought that he was handsome, JK was publicly having “little fits” when JM was maybe interacting with other members. JK made his message REALLY clear and even though JM might have been a bit resistant at the beginning, as he began to embrace the change and perhaps navigate through what these changes would entail, JM shyly enjoyed the moments and at the end of 2015, he seems to have given it whatever IT was a chance and began to go with JK’s flow.

As a quick reminder: I absolutely do not believe the whole “JM fell first but JK fell harder” and if you do, absolutely no shade on you; to each their own. I’m a believer in:

Cupid was already there calmly planning their love story but JK was like “yeah, so, I believe in fate and all, but, I’m not really big on waiting so, yeah, see you at the finish line, ayte? Ayte! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️💨”

Despite everything, does Chara still see themselves as a member of the Dreemurr family?

Chara's familial ties are... complicated.

For instance, they will never see anyone but Asriel as their sibling, but they also kinda disassociate Flowey from Asriel as a sort of coping mechanism. Easier to deal with if he's just a soulless weed, but harder now that he's outright admitted his identity to Frisk and Papyrus and made those sympathetic speeches in the aftermath of Toriel's fight.

They refer to Toriel and Asgore by name rather than "mother and father" which is mostly because there's a part of them that doesn't feel like they fully belong in the family. Especially after the whole buttercup pie thing. Chara has a LOT of self-loathing and fully believes they deserve the ire they got from when the tapes went public.

That's a big part of why they were so uncomfortable with Mettaton trying to lift them up and paint them in a positive light. Partially because of their own bitterness, and partially because it felt like he was putting them on this unrealistic pedestal.

It's also why Frisk calling them Cap or Captain Cryptic is a comfort to them, and part of why Frisk did this:

They realized, hey, "maybe I shouldn't be calling them a name they currently associate with a lot of bad memories and show that I still care about them regardless of who they were." Small gestures like this are a huge part of why Frisk means so much to them. Frisk is supportive... but they're also able to see them as they are now, and there was a certain comfort in being just a helpful voice in their head. A form of escapism that they may not have anymore, but at least Frisk got to know them before the truth came out.

But bringing it back to the Dreemurr Fam, Cap wants to belong, but feels they do not deserve to after everything that happened. Their actions caused a huge snowball effect in both timelines, but the impact is felt more in this one.

Still, they do view the Dreemurrs more as their family than their awful, abusive surface family.

Conversely, Frisk... honestly, just like Asgore, there's a sort of realization, albeit unspoken, that they really jumped the gun back in the Ruins. By this time, they've spent significantly more time with other adult monsters, like Papyrus, Mettaton, and Sans. So when Asgore called...

They referred to Asgore by name- not even maliciously, but it was a small sign that their perspective's kinda shifted. As the Anniversary Special shows, Asgore also has similar thoughts, and the two really need to talk to each other. But at least there shouldn't be any hurt feelings when the discussion finally comes. Asgore might not be Frisk's dad in the long run, but he can still be a good pal and a good mentor figure.

Hey. Hey. Pspspsppss. Explain your writing process to me. Please?

asjdghs ok in all seriousness idek fam. it's very disorganized and nonlinear and irregular af. much like this answer that got away from me so i'm gonna put it under the cut <3

i start with an Idea™ that has bonked me over the head. i am then possessed by the Idea, and i dump the concept onto a page in onenote as quickly as possible. it pours out of me like a fountain and the scene just kinda. creates itself.

it's pretty much always dialogue that comes to me first, with some major framing and emotional beats of surrounding paragraphs. sometimes the dialogue doesn't come for certain parts of the scene or i already have a vision of this particular section, so i'll describe the scene simply in a paragraph and sometimes later i'll come back and flesh it out. dialogue is something that tends to be the easiest for me. maybe not always voice for some characters, but their meaning and character-drive, absolutely.

and then from there, once the possession ends and what i have is out of me, it's mostly just. staring at the doc and making minor edits and additions around it over the next few days and/or weeks until i get bonked over the head with Idea: Part 2 Electric Boogaloo and so forth, always scrambling to keep up with them.

since writing mk fic and being actually interactive with other ppl and posting my writing, i've started sharing more little bites or even full drafts of my stuff and getting feedback, which, a lot of the time, is like. keysmashes and feral all caps comments, but they definitely help me know what's working and help me in the motivation department. recently i've specifically had the lovely @fdelopera help me out with full blown beta reading and some editing, they have been an absolute godsend (ily btw, tysm 💕).

Music helps me get in the zone sometimes, and keep me on track. I listened to Motion Sickness by Phoebe Bridgers about halfway through writing "your grounding touch", and it gave me some ideas about imagery and sensory stuff i wanted to focus in on more. There are also details in that fic inspired by some of the lyrics, if u feel like looking. It's also a general Vibe and a good marc song.

Music is just generally good for ideas for me too. Very good for calling on the Bonking of Ideas. When I'm hyperfixated on something i make a playlist about it so I can be in that world all day. I'm an all-day music listener, it's essential. (though when i get in the writing zone it can be silent and I won't notice for like an hour or two).

There's also the focus aspect of music too. If i start to associate one song with a piece, I'll listen to that song on repeat while I'm at work and it keeps my adhd brain on track (or close enough to it) so I can keep thinking about and planning it even while i'm busy.

I rarely write anything wholly linear, some parts getting expanded later after what was going to be minor edits snowballed into another few hundred or even thousand words. originally in "your grounding touch, marc's initial scene with layla was a lot shorter, and when writing, the first line for a while was him asking layla what she saw during their blackout. the section of steven's scene with layla researching DID was originally one paragraph before i fleshed it out and gave it dialogue, and was blessed with "you're based on the hero." and then jake at the end of was a late game addition only in the last 2 drafts, but felt essential.

Summary: Y/N spends a snow day with their family :)

It had been snowing for almost a week now, thick layers covering the land as far as the eye could see.

Being practically stuck inside, Y/N felt like their head was going to burst if they didn’t do something besides play card games with Wilbur.

“Daddd..” They said, dragging out the final letter to grab his attention.

“Yes?”

“Can we please do something? Like literally anything other than sitting here?”

Phil peeked out of the window next to his seat and looked back at his four children.

“The snow seems to have slowed down, if you all bundle up properly I don’t see why you can’t go out and play in it.”

The four had never been happier to hear their father's approval to go outside, all getting up and rushing to their winter gear.

Tommy ran out of the house with Techno hot on his trail to make sure the lanky boy didn’t hurt himself as Wilbur tied up Y/N’s snow boots.

As soon as Wilbur opened the door he was met with a large snowball to the face.

“You’re fucking paying for that one!” He said, scooping up snow and aiming for the now running blonde boy.

They chased each other into the woods and Y/N and Techno were left standing in their bright snowy yard.

“What do ya want to do?” Techno asked.

“Hmmm,” They thought out loud. “Oh! Let’s build a snowman!”

He gave them a look of dread, but Y/N knew he would never deny them of anything.

“Let’s get started I guess.” He fake sighed and they began construction.

They had a solid base started, the first ball making the snowman nearly half of Y/N’s size already. That was until Tommy came running their way trampling the snow mound, face planting into the soft pile.

“Tommy!” They exclaimed as Tommy looked up at his annoyed siblings.

“Sorry… We’ll help fix it!”

“We? I’m not doing shit.” Wilbur added from behind him.

“It’s your fault just as much as it is mine! If you didn’t throw that snowball at me I wouldn’t have fallen.” He countered.

“You’re both helping.” Techno said, sticking a hand out for Tommy to grab.

Y/N reached up and brushed all of the snow off of Tommy’s hair, quickly checking his face for any bruises from the fall.

They all began rolling the snow up again, getting a decent base that was somehow even bigger than their first attempt.

Once the body was mostly built Y/N went to go find sticks and rocks to decorate their new snowy friend, leaving the taller members to finish the head of the snowman.

Tommy stuck the two long branches into the side of the snowman to give him arms while Y/N used some pebbles to create a kind smiley face.

They all stepped back to view their creation, trying to figure out what looked off.

“I think he needs a nose.” Phil chimed from the porch above them, holding a carrot with a smile.

“Yes!” Y/N said as their father handed them the final piece.

They stuck to in the face of the snowman and smiled.

“Wait!” Wilbur exclaimed, pulling the beanie off of his head and handing it to his smallest sibling. “This is the final piece.”

They stared at the large white figure for a moment, thinking.

“How-“ Before they could even get the concern out of Y/N’s mouth, Techno came up behind them lifting them off of the ground so they could reach.

After placing the burgundy cap on the snowman, they looked at their temporary companion with joy.

“He looks kind of fucked.” Tommy said and Wilbur and Phil simultaneously smacked him on the arm as they all burst into laughter.

“You’ve been out here for hours, let’s get some hot chocolate, yeah?” Phil suggested, dragging his frozen children into the warmth of their home.

The five cuddled up, sipping the sweet refreshment with smiles, relishing in the fun filled day they spent with each other.

Loki fam head cannons: At the beach!🏖

•Whenever Loki and his family goes to the beach, Loki likes to wear a two set piece bikini. Yes including the top, because it feels like it gives him more options. His own words. He also likes to tie his hair up to not get in the way.

•He together with Sigyn always makes sure to prepare for ANYTHING. So they'll pack a bunch of cold foods and drinks for a hot day at the beach! Even bringing an emergency kit.

•Meanwhile a ghost Angrboda and their children just wants to go already. Sleipnir is invited too of course.

•Angrboda would probably wear a red, quite skimpy swimsuit. Because she loves to show off her muscles, but also be hot. So intimidating and beautiful at the same time. You slay girl boss.

•Also Angrboda would had consider tieing her hair up completely as well, if it wasn't a struggle to do so. She mostly let's it be as she has multiple braids keeping some parts together.

•Sigyn wears a normal bikini probably rangeing from the color green, yellow, blue or pink. She loves whatever fits her honestly and preferably that than something too fancy. As usual she has her iconic braid.

•Hel being insurance of her appearance, especially body. Would probably just wear a normal dark swimsuit but when going to the beach, she will most of the time be in the shadows and or cover herself with a bathrobe.

•So Hel mostly stays behind with Sigyn, who is trying to get some color. As her brothers and Loki, go wild out in the waters. Angrboda would probably float around and join them in the excitement.

•This is the only time, Sigyn and Hel truly get their peace and quiet, away from their chaotic family. Even though they're being chaotic right in front of them, probably getting into trouble.

•Jormungandr who isn't only the best waterslide and main source of Intertainment for his family whenever they go to the beach. Has a human form.

•When he is in said human form; he either likes to swim around a little by himself enjoying the company of his family around him. Or trying to teach Narfi and Vali how to swim. He is very patient with them.

•In human form, since his hair is so long, Sigyn usually helps him braid it to make it less tangly. At some point she had to teach him how to do it on himself though.

•Jormungandr being that of a loner doesn't have a said swim suit or shorts. Yes he does have clothes, but he probably swims in his underwear.

•Meanwhile Fenrir in human form as well, Narfi and Vali have their swimming shorts. Hair? Not so important to them, well at least that goes for anyone but Narfi.

•Narfi does love to go swimming, but there are multiple reasons why he doesn't jump right in like his brothers. He takes his time.

•But then there's the hair situation: having Loki's annoying hair that gets always tangled easily, Narfi knows it's going to hurt brushing through it once the fun is over.

•Vali also has these struggles but prefers to enjoy the moment than to worry about it, he only starts worrying when he remembers.

•Sleipnir that TOO, has a human form like his brothers. Loves to be a little extra. Even though Sigyn and Loki already brought sunscreen he defiantly brought his own.

•He also makes sure to tie up his hair, so well in fact that he uses an elegantly made swimming cap. So his lushes locks is treated a little better. Can't judge him, he was the spoiled kid.

•Aside from this behavior though he still appreciates everything else that was brought and the fun he gets to spend with his family. As he doesn't visit much.

•At the end of the day they all gather together again to eat and Sigyn probably has to apologize to a bunch of people for whatever her family had done now.
