BEHOLD. JACK DESIGNS APLENTY TO MATCH WITH THESE SAMMY DESIGNS. I had so much fun designing and drawing these guys, as I wanted to make Jacks that specifically complimented their Sammys. LONG WINDED DESIGN NOTES UNDER THE CUT

Pair 1:

i knew that i wanted to make at least one absurdly tall Jack and he was a perfect candidate

matching music tie and bowtie!!!

i love height difference sam and jacks and jack deserves to be the taller one sometimes

this Jack is probably Dominican. gotta get that latino rep in here lets gooo 💪😎 (lighthearted)

their shirts are the same shade of white which you'll see again in the third pair

iirc i wanted to give tribute to TIOL so I made this Jack orange, though I kept it leaning yellow to better compliment Sammy's blond tips

Pair 2:

i originally wasn't planning on giving Jack dyed hair but I thought it would be cute for both of them to have it dyed since this Sammy has bleached hair like his VA. I tried to keep it subtle since he already had so much color on him that I didn't want it to look overcrowded

I love red/pink Jacks but instead of a sweater vest I gave him a normal vest since I feel like I don't see that a lot on Jacks?

i tried to lean into more mischievous vibes with him because I think more Jacks deserve to be pranksters, as a treat

he also looks chill to counterbalance a pretty high strung looking Sammy

this Jack is very very loosely inspired by someone I know irl. not really appearance wise, just through vibes

i don't think these two are dating but they are inseparable as per usual

the glasses on Jack were a last minute addition because i KEEP ON FORGETTING TO GIVE CHARACTERS GLASSES

the green sweater and hat match his Sammy's green eyes (not pictured here). i like to think he does this on purpose

they both have gray hair because i think its so pretty

i didn't set out on designing them with the intention of making the first pair both Black and the second pair both Asian, but I do think it adds something to how they operate as a pair. you gotta stick together, y'know?

in the initial sketching process i wasn't planning on drawing Sammy along with the Jacks but i realized very quickly i couldnt design them without their Sam there. they are a set! do not separate!!

this does mean that there's a scrapped Jack design sitting in that file...alone....Sammyless.... very sad. I gotta get that man a Sammy

Bucky Volunteering With the Elderly HCs

So I think it actually started at Sam’s request.

He understands Bucky to a good degree, being a trauma counselor and one of his few, but closest friends (despite the bickering lol). So he suggests Bucky get out into the real world again since that’s what helped Sam. He recommended Bucky reconnect with real people, and people from his own time at that.

Sam of course goes with him for his first visit. And while Bucky is a little nervous/awkward at first about how this will go he’s quick to loosen up

“Oh! Aren’t you a handsome one!” An old lady tells him, “how old are you now?” And he just smiles, “oh I turned 107 a few days ago.” The nurses of course think that it’s a joke, but the old people are the truth of it.

"Oh! So, you remember Joan Bennett and those silly weather prophet toys?" The old woman said excitedly. "Remember her?" Bucky says with a big smile, "She was my first crush. My mom and sister loved little women when it first came out."

All the older ladies adore talking to him, telling him all about their newly single kids (who are all like 60-70) and reliving pleasant memories of decades gone by. But Bucky does also make a point to visit with the men and old Vets and such too, where he's finally able to relate to someone outside of Steve. Though the old folks often forget some of the hard times (for which Bucky is glad for) they do get to recount a lot of good laughs and shenanigans they got up to In their respective squads.

Bucky doesn't even realize that by the time he's done and ready to leave that it's already been 4 hours. Sam even went to get lunch and come back.

After that Bucky makes it a regular thing. If he's not off doing missions and has a good chunk of downtime he'll go volunteer to spend time with the them. The staff and nurses of course absolutely love him and thank him profusely for his time and the way he's really lifted up the patients moods lately.

He also makes a point to remember people's birthdays. Bringing them flowers or a piece of pie from the diner down the road. He's also not above sneaking in some contraband either (mostly beer, nude magazines, and harmless prank items)

Of course becoming friends with old people also has its draw backs... and Bucky's heart breaks whenever he loses a new friend so quickly. He'll make a stop in at the funeral or wake, say his condolences and such, but doesn't usually stay very long. Honestly he's just happy to have known them in the first place.

But! To end on a happy note: you know the staff gave Bucky his own little locker or coat hook to put his stuff away in. He's in there so often that they actually print out a little name card and everything (Sam might be a little jealous).

For the record, Zachary is the only one doing something he likes in this picture. Not pictured are Sam and Hazel are in the truck bed fighting over supplies. That's who Kate is yelling at. Oh, and Chase is also there taking pot-shots at zombies because the 7 year old is more responsible than those two.

BTW, don't feel bad that the thing Zachary likes doing is sleeping. He's heavily based off my father and my relatives from his side of the family, and all of them have a thing for naps. They have other hobbies of course, and plenty of things they like to do that aren't sleeping, but they all also really like sleeping.

Inktober days 6-10 <3

so... I said that doc drawing would be in this one, but it's not! I totally forgot... but it'll be in next week's post LOL

this is 100 percent another self indulgent jump! my first full attempt at drawing pearl! I love her! Ive done some doodles for the traffic series before, but thats about it. I didn't finish that pose here... but maybe after october!

I don't know how many layers I've used by this point, Highest number I see on my layers list is 80, But I don't think it's 80 because I've also gotten rid of layers but trust me- It's a lot of layers

Yellows are quite annoying to work with but I just love them so much

Spent a lot longer on this than expected [Including with and without Procrastination].. Hello! Gelly again! I have another big speech of some sort, but first I wanna say that I forgot something in my last one, oops haha. So another example of hypocrisy with sock-puppets on DA Drama Now is that one of their followers, Doctor Ray, made countless "Kylo-Ren" accounts to harass our friend, Club. And yet, they're wrongly attacking Sam for the same thing.

So, the other thing I intend to tackle this evening is how this group is falsely saying they "want to help me" when in reality they're just trying to scare and manipulate me. I have quite a lot of proof and cases to demonstrate this.

They made a whole ass tag for me. They made this so whenever they talk shit on me, they can tag my name for people to click and see everything else they said about me. But yeah, I can admit this is probably my weakest proof, which is one of the reasons why I listed it first.

The way she uses it is either one of her evil OCs using it to get minions to take over the world, a classic fun story used in lots of fiction. And when it's used by good OCs, they simply use it to calm chaotic characters down. Oh, and one of her OCs in the fan-art they're sexualizing IS A CHILD CHARACTER! Lina confirmed her to be 14! So not only are they sexualizing a minor's art while accusing another of having a fetish, THEY'RE SEXUALIZING ART WITH A CHILD CHARACTER IN IT! All while they refuse to hear me out. When reading this I thought about that too. The hypocrisy (or "seeming" hypocrisy, in the off-chance they have a good defense about it and why this doesn't affect the worthiness of the support given to them through the followers of the DA user Morothias) about Doctor Ray and his participation in raiding would be (aside from their KiwiFarms affiliations) the most glaring/discouraging to us. Their idea of helping people is conquest. And yeah tagging can be used for good or bad; I tag people so it's less backbiting-esque for recurring peoples. But then again, they have a written hate list, as if a group about justice would write one. So there is a greater chance they aren't as well-intentioned when tagging. True peacemakers would not readily resort to extortion or ridicule.
