I had this idea for a body swap with Hazel and Leo, but I literally forgot about it for a few days so I'm putting it here so that doesn't happen again. I’ll try to expand it into an actual story but in case that doesn’t pan out:

So, body swap right, but it's outside point of view both because that'd be funnier and less about Hazel and Leo's existential crisis.

Anyway, it happens when they're on their quest after MoA, Jason's point of view first, finding them while the three are out on a side quest. They got separated for a little bit and when Jason finds them, they're being weird and panicky and he's like, oh god here we go again, because you know, there's been enough possessions. But the other two seem to get themselves together and rush Jason back to the ship and it's still weird because Leo's like, not making eye contact with him and doesn't seem interested in talking to him and Jason's just like, "no, bestie, what's wrong?". Because you know, Hazel’s still a little resentful of Jason, just a bit and he’s not the person she turns to in a pinch. She’s also less freaked out than Leo by now, Leo doesn’t even notice what’s going on, his thoughts are like that scene where SpongeBob can’t remember his name except with no fire because, ya know.

Nico's POV when the three get back to the ship and he clocks that they're being weird, the way Hazel just like, literally squeaks and ducks Frank's attempt to welcome her back with a hug, instead rushing down to the lower deck, yelling for Piper.

Frank joins Jason in the bummed crew, and then Nico does too when Hazel basically doesn't even notice him on her way past.

The actual Hazel-in-Leo's body does notice this and pauses long enough to pat Nico's shoulder comfortingly before running off to join the search for Piper. Nico freezes as who he thinks is Leo dashes off, Kill Bill sirens going off in his head because, like, what the fuck was that? (side note, Leo actually acted pretty much normal around Nico, even if he did talk some shit when he wasn't around, but like. Hazel's the only person that ever touches him so yeah).

Cut to Piper's POV, when they've all gathered in the mess hall and before anyone says anything, she clocks that the energy between Hazel, Leo and Frank has… shifted some kind a way and she is confused until Hazel and Leo finally explain what's going on. They figured Piper had the best chance of fixing them and were kind of too freaked out to let the others know ahead of time.

The irony of the situation is not lost on her.

Jump to Frank's point of view, and the matter of his lifeline hits him. Basically as soon as Leo and Hazel realized what was happening to them, Hazel knew she couldn't hold it anymore since she didn't know how to control Leo's fire, so Leo-in-Hazel's body left it where it was in Hazel's jacket pocket and he has been on the verge of a heart attack the whole time even though he knows that he can't burn it in this body.

And Frank is reeling and trying to stay calm but then he thinks about it and- okay, it's really not as bad as it could have been. He- actually doesn't believe Leo will let anything happen to him, so he makes eye contact with Leo behind Hazel's eyes and it's Significant(TM). Then they have to address Hazel's call to do what was the best option at the time of leaving that responsibility to Leo, so then Frank is making Significant(TM) eye contact with Hazel behind Leo's eyes and Frank is just- very confused, but also not at all confused because he knows between their four hands, his life will be fine. (These dummies didn’t even consider Frank just holding onto it).

Then he's watching Leo tapping Hazel's fingers and somehow jewels come sprouting up on the golden plates and there's this tense moment where Leo-in-Hazel's body and Hazel-in-Leo's body stare at it, wondering if it's cursed and how so and how any of this works and Leo-in-Hazel's body thinking that if the actual Hazel held onto it, it wouldn't count as cursed and it's this whole history repeats itself situation of her and Sammy and the diamond as Hazel's hands under Leo's direction hold the gem out to Leo's hands that Hazel has control over.

Anyway, it's a little more complicated to get everyone back in the right bodies than it took when they were possessed, so it's a few days of awkward and comedic situations and bitter parallels between Hazel and Leo and their different powers foisted on them by their fathers (also imagine if Hephaestus and Pluto were more social beings and also not incapacitated by the Roman-Greek divide, they'd meet up over this and see how it shakes out)

Danny had been around Gotham for a while.

The crime was never ending, but since Batman's arrival, it had gotten better.

The unmistakably CLANK! From around the corner had him jump, wary now. The man walks around the wall, eyes on the black car with— with Batman's symbol at the front.

A child sitting on the ground with a car tire next to him, the Bat Symbol a stark contrast to the shadows.

"Shit, kid. You're bold to rob Batman." Danny didn't really realise he was speaking until the kid looks up, spooked.

"What the fuck?" The kid was clearly of Gotham breed, yelps with a glare.

"I'm impressed," Danny doesn't give the kid the chance to talk, not with the way the tiny terror seems to be glaring and holding his wrench.

"You're quick, got eyes for details and know how to work around cars."

The suspicion in the kids eyes didn't lessen, having gotten up to press himself against the wall, eyes never leaving Danny.

"Here," Our local spook threw a card on the hood of the car. It was his business card.

"If you need income with far fewer risks than stealing from Batman, call me."

He didn't really wait to see the kids reaction, just leaving, bot before shooting a look into the sky the kid clearly caught.

As danny left, the kid looked at the entrance of the alleyway, back to the car, and then to the card.

They had talked for too long. Jason had to leave now, lest Batman actually caught him.

With one last look to the tires and the car, he leaves eith a scowl.

Just barely missing the man with the cape.

OKAY SO. by pure coincidence you have hit me square in one of my silliest headcanons ever. which is that at some point fingon found a hatchling dragon in the far northern foothills of ered lómin and took it home with him. she was left out in the cold for too long as a baby so her growth is severely stunted and the most firebreathing she can do is, like, lighting fingon's lamps for him, but she loves him so much and likes to sleep at the foot of his bed to keep his toes warm in the winter. he hides her whenever fingolfin visits but people keep spotting her when he takes her out to hunt and so he keeps getting increasingly suspicious letters from his dad like. hey just wanted to confirm. you Did kill that dragon you found that one time right. and he's like yeah bestie for sure! with tintalle on his lap purring up a storm while he writes. she likes to tangle up his spare ribbons and sit on them and Will Not accept any other hoarding material :D

Albus Severus being too bad at magic to defend himself against aimed hexes in the halls, or when hes cornered 4:1, yet he keeps putting himself in situations where he needs magic to help him, because he's too weak to be physical, certainly too weak to go against the upper yearsman who always threaten Scorpius, making sure they leave him with a mark, like claiming victory. And he doesn't know how to talk back against his peers or tormentors or whatever, because when he's sitting in class and the people behind him are talking about him a little too loud to even be mistook as accidental, or when he mucks up a spell and the whole room seems to laugh at him, he's just too anxious to even look up. The most he'll do when he's getting pushed to his limit is shout something and run off (coward they'd call after him, he couldn't even deny it)

forever pushing my "draco malfoy has curly/wavy hair and he straightens it" agenda bc i love using appearance to fuel angst

it's the same thing w my "percy weasley has way curlier hair than his family" headcanon - it's something that makes him stand out. but unlike my percy who comes to embrace his differences, what about draco who tries to hide his?

draco, who has the malfoy hair color but whose hair curls like that of everyone else in the black family. draco, who sees lucius's distaste for his natural hair not looking "malfoy enough" and decides to do something about it. narcissa's hair still curls, but not as much as it did in old pictures of her, because narcissa doesn't do anything she doesn't want to unless she thinks it could benefit her. and distancing herself from her birth family is a benefit.

neither of draco's parents say anything about his hair, but draco sees the smile on his father's face when he straightens it the first time, and so he never stops. no wonder he's known for taking an hour to get ready every morning.

i could expand on this whole thing even more by adding my "draco and narcissa both have flecks of amber in their eyes bc narcissa is a rosier". imagine draco straightening the curls out of his hair and wearing contacts from a young age to keep anyone from seeing anything but malfoy in him. imagine him doing this for years and years, all the way until adulthood, when someone - astoria or blaise or whoever you ship with draco - finally comes along and appreciates how he looks without having to put all that effort in. imagine, over time, the hair-straightening charms and gels and potions and the colored contacts collecting dust in the bathroom cabinet as he finally finds confidence in his appearance.

and imagine narcissa finally taking the charms that turn her curls into waves. imagine her taking off the charms that make the amber flecks in her eyes invisible. imagine draco looking in the mirror and seeing someone who isn't just a malfoy, but a black and a rosier too. seeing someone who isn't just his father's son but his mother's.

and adding even more onto this, luna. luna, whose mother was a rosier and a cousin of naricssa. luna, who has blonde hair and amber-flecked blue eyes that are shaped just like narcissa and draco's, who smiles just like they do when they're alone and not performing for anyone. luna, who's had curly hair like her mum did her whole life. luna and draco, who have known of their relation since they were young, finally seeing their similarities and being unashamed of showing them off.

and to add one more thing, teddy. teddy, whose mother and grandmother didn't get the rosier traits like draco and narcissa did, but whose eyes naturally turn a little more amber when draco's around. whose hair curls just a little bit more whenever he's with the malfoys.

of course there's scorpius too. scorpius, whose hair is just wavy and whose eyes are mostly grey, but who never, ever feels the need to hide it. because even if it's not until scorpius is nearly out of hogwarts that draco is confident with how he looks, draco makes sure his son never feels the shame he did.

i really could go on forever about this, so i might as well end it here.
