I genuinely forgot that Kai’s true potential was unlocked by saving Lloyd in the volcano.

Like? The implications?

Because one, everyone else’s true potential was unlocked by something incredibly deep and meaningful to them.

Zane unlocked his by discovering who he really was and then saving the ninja, Jay unlocked his by being himself and saving Nya, Cole unlocked his by standing up for himself and protecting his father.

But Kai?

Kai unlocked his by choosing to save Lloyd.

Kai was so determined to be the green ninja but in the moment, in that moment, he chose to save Lloyd.

To protect the green ninja.

Just…the sibling-ness of Kai and Lloyd’s relationship and the sacrifice??? The protection??? The fact that everyone else’s true potential came from people that they cared deeply about but Kai’s came from saving a kid that he didn’t know that well at the time???
