#Misako ninjago

Never gonna get over the way Garmadon’s colour (purple) is directly across from Misako (lime green), Lloyd (green), and Wu (yellow/gold).

This is called Analogous complimentary colours (yes i got that from that colour theory drawing with the anime style cubes.)

I have no idea if this was done on purpose by the ninjago character designers but this is GENIUS.

The colour directly across from purple is a lime-ish green, Misako’s colour. Garmadon and Misako were the two with the least fights overall, and Misako was one of the people who helped Garmadon handle the desire to be evil the easiest. His genuine love for her helped him for a long time.

Wu and Lloyd being right next to Misako (the side complimentary colours i believe) shows how deeply he loves them too, how much they also helped with the venom in his blood, yet they were the two he was forced to hurt the most. Wu spent years trying to help Garmadon and praying that the venom wouldn’t take control, and he never wanted to fight his own brother, especially with the guilt he already felt.

Lloyd never wanted to fight his own father, but his destiny and morals pushed him to do so. He did his best on both healing and trying to keep his dad alive, and still he is forced to fight him.

Misako isn’t actively in Garmadon’s path to evil like how Wu and Lloyd were and are, making it so Garmadon was forced to feel more resentment for the two due to the corruption and was forced to fight them more often. This shows how harmonious his relationships were and could’ve been but were affected by the roles they were each forced to play.

This could also show how they stand at two separate sides straight from when they were born, how destiny made it that Garmadon would forever struggle with standing side by side with the ones he loved the most.

This is so badly written but i wanted more people to know what i realised mid drawing Garmadon.

the fact that lloyds oni form is gold is so fucking funny. lloyd pops out of the womb, probably looking quite oni because he's a quarter oni. garmadon picks him up and proceeds to get blinded by the light reflecting off his golden baby. wu has mistaken baby lloyd for the nunchucks of lightning on more than one occasion. misako is frantically researching why her baby is gold and eventually just accepts it as one of those things.

The strangest thing each ninja has used as a weapon:

Kai: a traffic light. He refuses to tell anyone how he got it. He always gets wide eyed with a traumatic look every time someone asks.

Jay: Zane.

Nya: a charging plug. Like, the plug. Not the wire. She keeps in on her shelf and each of the metal rods on it has a small tint of red. No one asks. I lied Zane asked and he smiled the entire time, and than Nya had to hold him because he had a nightmare about it later.

Cole: a paper straw. He somehow won.

Zane: a samosa. He now has monthly dinners with them and taught them how to be 5 star chefs.

Zane, again: a gun.

Lloyd: a milk bottle. The milk was expired.

Pixal: herself. She is the weapon. She made Zane help her put guns and weapons and more built into her.

Bonus+

Wu: a street lamp. Those really tall ones too.

Garmadon: a spork. He lost, and it was his favourite spork that the other broke. It was on that day that everyone learnt not to touch anything he likes.

Skylor: a railing. She lowkey just ripped it off.

Morro: a tree. Please, don’t EVER ask questions.

Vania: a window, plus its frame. Cole ripped it off and handed it to her, she was completely baffled on what to do with it.

Benthomaar: a floaty. One of those baby ones.

Harumi: the front of a bus.

Echo: a bush. Like, a whole bush.

Misako: one of her incredibly special, one of a kind antiques.

Mystake: a fan. You choose what kinda fan.

In lieu of me encouraging people to study dominant and recessive genes in terms of explaining Lloyd's hair color, I've made a punnett square to try and help break it down.

In order for blonde hair (which is the recessive gene) to show in the offspring of two parents who have the phenotype (observable characteristic) of brown hair, both parents would need to be carrying the phenotype for blonde hair, making their genotype (genes that can be passed to the next generation) Bb. As shown in the graph, "B" stands for brown hair, which is the dominant gene. "b" stands for blonde, which is recessive. The punnett square shows how these genes/alleles work together and which phenotype they produce. Since Garmadon and Misako would both have the Bb genotype, their offspring, Lloyd, has a 25% chance of having the phenotype of blonde hair.

This probably makes no sense BUT hopefully this helped anyone if they're confused on how Lloyd can genetically have blonde hair.
