Because it is.#And let me just say. I think it is the perfect adaptation. Somehow this film manages to be one of the best dystopia satires out there #While also being a genuine critique of capitalism and burocracy.#Plus the practical effects and set design were outstanding.#The 'romance' in this movie was definitely also a satire.#It is unbelievably wacky. I'm dead serious when I say this comic is beat for beat something that happens in the film #Guy who told this women *nothing* about the peril she's in form the government tells her he (legally) killed her.#She responds by saying “Care for a little necrophilia?” with NO ROMANTIC LEAD UP.#THE MUSIC SWELLS. HE TEARS OFF HIS JACKET AND DIVES INTO THE BED. SCENE END.#Jill Leyton has incredible range as a hot butch and hot femme. Was the line bizarre? Yes. She can pull it off though.#We paused and watched it back a few times. I wasn't intending to make a crossover this obscure but honestly...#It's...it's too good of a fit to pass up. Now Edwin doesn't wear jewelry, it wasn't considered proper for men in his time, still Monty can't help wanting to give him some.

The part of him that's still crow gravitates to dangly trinkets and twinkling metal, sparkling gems and iridescent jewels.

Monty has quite the stash of jewelry, half of it stolen from Esthers extensive collection, and the other half he made himself from broken bits of various treasure he finds.

One day Monty gathers the courage to gift Edwin a small bracelet, he fashioned it from a broken chain and hung a small feather charm in the center. Monty tries to swallow his disappointment when Edwin accepts it with a polite smile and a thank you but makes no move to put it on, instead placing it delicately in his pocket.

Monty tries his best to forget about it until about a week later, as he's watching Edwin reach for a book on a high shelf, his sleeve slips down and Monty catches a glimpse of sparkling silver on his wrist.

Monty feels his breath hitch as he stares at the metal peaking out shyly against Edwin's delicate wristbone.

After that Monty starts gifting Edwin more jewelry, a necklace Edwin hides under his high collar, a second bracelet Edwin tucks gently under his sleeve, and lastly, a gleaming silver ring that Monty spent an entire evening carefully etching words onto it's gleaming surface, words that no other eyes than Edwins wil ever read.

Ever since the art teasing Blake with her kitty ears pierced, it feels like I've seen an uptick in fics where Yang nibbles on said ears as erogenous zones.

Now, I know their ears are areas of intense sensation for cats, and can be very sensual for humans, so on Blake's end that makes sense. But, as a cat mom who loves nuzzling her fur babies... yes, I HAVE nommed their little ears, and NO, it is not an experience I recommend. At all. All that soft smoothness? Yeah it turns into a mess of fur in your mouth. It is very unpleasant for you, not to mention very confusing for your cat.
