THE FIVE STAGES OF DATING HINATA SHOYO

a case study on how first year hinata acts when you first get into a relationship with him.

i | DENIAL

♡ if anybody tries talking to him, they should've even bother. hinata senses are pretty much switched off.

♡ instead of catching up on sleep during class, he's daydreaming about you. instead of the usual snack after practice, he's thinking about saving it for you. cheesy (and maybe creepy), he knows, but he can't help it. he wonders how you're doing, or if you're feeling okay, or just as shook up as he is. aren't you just perfect? and you're dating him! how is that possible?

♡ his entire body is buzzing even days after the confession, electric shocks and twitches, scoring all over his arms and legs. gosh, even when he tries to practice later on in the day, the amount of times he has tripped or froze up was laughable. no matter who yells at him, he just can't get you out of his mind.

♡ if anybody asks if you're dating, his immediate response is "it's not like that!" and then refuses to elaborate. it is like that, but he just can't believe it. he's embarrassed to properly say that he's officially your boyfriend. he's embarrassed that you're dating a guy like him.

ii | ANGER

♡ he's more than ready to fight anyone that even mentions your name. it's a reflex – a concerning one – but he can't help it. if any guy, especially someone who's conventionally attractive or in an older year, even utters something about you, it would be game over for them – if hinata wasn't being held back. he's really not making a great reputation for himself... people will point and stare saying: "isn't that [name]'s boyfriend...?" while he's in the middle of hissing and shooing someone away when they're already six feet away from you. talk about insecure...

♡ this is when jealousy starts to seep into his mind. all of a sudden, he's so much more aware of the people around you, who talks to you, how you react. now, he doesn't laugh along in a group setting. instead, he's glaring at whoever is making the jokes, whoever is making you laugh. that's supposed to be his job.

♡ it's confusing. he's happy one second, then annoyed and cold another. you know he's not the kind of guy to purposely act difficult or ghost you, but his mood has been so weird. luckily, it only takes one confrontation for things to return back to normal, talking him through how you'll always be one of his top priorities and he shouldn't be shy to ask for attention.

iii | BARGAINING

♡ this is the point where he wonders if he could've got into a relationship sooner. yes, he's happy that you're dating now, but how much time had he wasted? how much closer could the two of you have been if he made even the smallest difference in how he behaved around you?

♡ it's always questions of "what if he was smarter so he could he in your class?" or "what if you had tutored him instead when you offered?" or "maybe he should've skipped practice that one day when you asked him to hang out..."

♡ his go-to is "if only he hadn't yelled at you that one time..." it was an accident, and you were the unfortunate victim. the ball was well away from the court, and it wasn't like it was actually going to stay in if he hit it, but he still gave you his piece of mind for "being in the way".

♡ however, you saw the situation as something completely different. you saw that look in his eyes when you were face to face with him. it was captivating, unlike anything you've seen before. pure, passion. it was impossible to be annoyed or angry at him; if anything, you were extremely impressed and intrigued.

iv | DEPRESSION

♡ oh no... looks like your boyfriend has been feeling under the weather lately. what's worse is that he's not telling anyone why. his expression always seems to be gloomy no matter the time or occasion, and his usual energy has disappeared.

♡ the small, harmless jokes about your relationship are starting to get to him. he knows they're just jokes, and you even laugh along sometimes, but it's really been breaking down his self esteem. every time he gets teased, he does smile, but it's obvious that he's forcing it.

♡ he's also thinking back to all of the times he's messed up, despite being so early into the relationship. he's supposed to be making it perfect for you, but he's been doing nothing but messing things up. maybe you'd be better off without him? there's always taller, stronger, more talented guys out there. hell, even on his own team.

♡ in the end, everything just circles back to him feeling inferior to you. it truly broke your heart when he finally opened up about it and – seriously, how could he ever think of himself like that? he's got an amazing personality, amazing talents that are always getting better, he's the full package! minus height... but that doesn't matter to you.

v | ACCEPTANCE

♡ it's been a long, long few weeks. it's taken a lot of communication and trust, but now he's at a point where he's comfortable in the relationship, much like you. pretty soon, he's got a solid routine of his day that seems to benefit you more than him; walking you to your classes and sprinting back to his, sacrificing his bentos when you have nothing to eat or if he knows you'll enjoy it more than your own, trying to have a go at your hobbies so you can both enjoy them together... plus volleyball on top of that? you're just wondering how he hasn't dropped from exhaustion yet.

♡ he's an absolute bundle of joy. every day is filled with nothing but positivity. even if you're having a bad day, he knows exactly how to make it better. he'd drop everything to make sure that you're okay, and you'll always be his top priority.

♡ nowadays, he can proudly say that he is your boyfriend. no hesitation, no shame, no embarrassment. if he could write those words on his sleeve for everyone to see, then you sure as hell know that he would.

An interesting journey of discovery

So first I stumbled upon this from Ultrafacts:

Well THAT’S interesting. Some googling confirmed it: John Cleese talked in an interview about when he learned of this in school -- his English teacher seemed to have come away with the impression that “If you didn't give up, you couldn't lose.” And that led to “It’s just a flesh wound!!!” years later.

Then I checked Wikipedia for the wrestler they were talking about, and was brought up short by this image:

I know that statue, I thought. I’ve seen it with wings.

And I wasn’t wrong.

  Yup, it’s the same one! Different angle, but same pose.

  So that’s amazing. Monty Python, ineffable stubbornness, and naked wrestling.

I’m not sure what conclusion to draw from this, but I’m sure there are several.

Meet the young EaPs Glamrocks in the CU au!

These drawings aren’t of them at the same time frame, but of around the time Ruin got them.

Order of kids in how Ruin got them:

Ballora, his little British baby. Had her since her day 1 and is, within the confines of this au at least, her dad.

Lefty, found him shortly after he was born/created. He’s about 5-6 months younger than Ballora.

Sunny and Moonie, he found them about a year after Lefty was born. They were lucky to be found when they were in one of Ruin’s Creator’s abandoned labs.. trying to create a ‘successful’ outcome by trying to build another young one similar to Ruin’s conception/construction. Ruin accidentally activated them and so he just ended up keeping them.

Monti was around 3-4 years old when Ruin found her. She remembers having a dad but doesn’t know where he went, he just disappeared one day. She was initially scared when Ruin found her, but almost nearly fell asleep after realizing he was safe to be around, Ruin took her back to the group base. Poor little one was so scared and tired, along with being surprisingly well hidden. Monti is also actually the oldest kid there, being older than Ballora by 6 months.

Captain was around 7 when he was found. He’s the equivalent of a stoic, feral cat to those he doesn’t trust, and a somewhat polite and well grammared kid for living alone in a dead kingdom for most of, if not his entire life. Ruin’s more surprised by the fact this child, who’s ready to attack a threat at any moment, hasn’t been infected with the virus yet. He’s also thankful that Captain hasn’t caught it yet and now never will.

Hmm, a tricky one because I can’t think of knights without thinking about these Going Medieval articles, but let’s see:

Knight

Henchman has accidentally set up a trap in the evil lair and is now stuck in the dark tower. Villain has to come to their rescue and the only way is to...climb it? Aw, come on.

Hero doesn’t live in a peculiar town. They go wherever there’s trouble, accepts every quest on their way, then leaves and never looks back. This time, someone wants to convince them to stay.

By mistake, Villain has given life to some old windmills. Only a brave knight can save us now, maybe with a sidekick on a donkey.

Following time hijinks, hero’s idol has come straight from the past, a noble knight who has won countless battles. However, there’s one hell of a generation gap between them.

Hero and Villain are both skilled horse riders. However, Villain’s horse is white and Hero’s horse is black. Who has ever heard of a dark knight as a Hero? Confusion ensues. Public is dissatisfied. They have to make an exchange.

“A sword? You fight with a sword? You are so dead. Do you know what country this is?” “I have holy hand grenades, too. You’re welcome to try them.”

In this world, heroes has one person assigned that they have to protect before all. Of course, Hero has to protect Citizen, Villain’s secret identity.

To be one day a full hero, sidekicks have to obey them faithfully, to follow them in their quests and be at their constant service. Sidekick is...not okay with this.

Supervillain has released a dragon that wrecks the city. Hero is supposed to fight and kill it. Villain wants to adopt it. It’s on.

SB Ruin DLC really went "hey guys, here's Bonnie's corpse, located in his very own bowling alley, with some environmental story telling as to what might've happened, have fun!" and ppl will continue to say Monty killed him

Monty only had claws sharp enough to cause real damage AFTER he was assigned as Bonnie's replacement, AFTER Bonnie was decommissioned, we know this from the base game - the whole thing abt Monty clawing the shit out of Bonnie to the point of being beyond repair and all makes no sense because he just. Had No Means To Do It

looking around Bonnie's body you can see a bowling ball cracked in HALF near his head, implying that was one of the things that possibly fucked him up (plus the crack on the wall directly in front)

the "green paint" around his chest area I've seen people say it's because of Monty also makes no fucking sense because. That's not. paint???? That's corrosion??? gunk and grime???? how the fuck would the paint even rub off on Bonnie like that???? they're solid metal with a coat of paint, the only way paint could've left any stain is if it was FRESH, otherwise it just. chips OFF??? it's not even properly green it's like, the same color as all the shit around him???

and then there's the motive, the fact that Monty was jealous of Freddy being the face of the company and got rid of Bonnie to be in the band also makes no real sense? Not because of the whole argument on how he had to aim for Bonnie specifically because getting rid of Freddy is TOO risky and all, THAT makes sense - but because his errant behavior is all about avoiding performing with the band

and reading Chica's and Roxy's errant behaviors also imply that these things they do aren't exactly glitches but things they actively want to do (Chica being quirky and eating garbage or other things she shouldn't, Roxy wanting to return to the one place ENTIRELY themed after her)

Monty just. skips performances. If he killed Bonnie for the chance to play in the main band, you'd think he'd be more enthusiastic about never missing a performance?

people also take the entire ride Cassie gets on that shows Monty's backstory at face value, using it to support both arguments about Monty being guilty or innocent, but like....... it's a fucking ride created by the company that covers up murders like it's the easiest shit in the world.......it isn't proof of anything? this is the story they put out for the public so that people don't ask too many questions about why Monty would replace Bonnie in the band

so with all of that into consideration, the most solid piece of evidence people have of Monty being the one who killed Bonnie is this, the fact that Bonnie was last seen entering Monty Golf

as of now, Monty feels more like a red herring rather than a proper culprit

I've seen people say that Monty could've moved Bonnie there after killing him in monty golf, but if that were the case, the broken bowling balls around him and the damage in the room wouldn't make any sense, unless you really think Monty would just spend a couple extra minutes SMASHING bowling balls on this guy's face for fun

let's assume for a moment that Monty DID move Bonnie from monty golf to bonnie bowling (using this very cool layered and labeled map from reddit!)

ITS SUPER FUCKING FAR AWAY, BOTH AREAS ARE ON ENTIRELY OPPOSITE SIDES AND LEVELS OF THE PIZZAPLEX? if you take Bonnie's last seen log as definite proof of Monty being responsible for his death, you have to explain how the fuck the guy carried a whole ass dead animatronic all the way back to bonnie bowling without being caught by any other security cameras nor any other bot - especially the daycare attendant, assuming this delivery mission happens at night cause it cant happen during daytime, obviously

I'm not saying Monty is entirely clean from being innocent, just that none of the info we have actually FULLY supports the idea of him being behind Bonnie's fate, it's flimsy at best and we know how confusing and chaotic the franchise can get with its writing

the fact that Bonnie's body is STILL THERE IN THAT SMALL LITTLE AREA means that staff never found him, because they would've had NO problem replacing him or patching him up if they did, they're good at that, they have entire machines and areas dedicated to it

whether he actually died there or not, it's definitely an area only staff members would've been allowed to be in - including other animatronics, bots and whatnot - there's just not enough info to point towards anyone's direction right now because we don't even know WHY he got wrecked so badly

1. Your career has covered a wide range of genres, from horror to drama to sci-fi. What drives you to choose such varied roles?

I guess I love torturing myself, or maybe I have a short attention span and just don't know what I want. But in seriousness, it's less about the genre and more about the challenge. If it doesn’t make me uncomfortable or force me to dig deep, I'm probably not that interested.

2. You've gained a reputation for being reserved during interviews, how do you feel about that perception?

It's probably an accurate perception, I don't think I want to change anyone's mind any time soon. Plus, if people think it makes me mysterious and interesting, then I'm all for it.

3. "The Crow" is such an iconic story, and now you're stepping into the role of Eric Draven. How did you approach this character without getting lost in the legacy?

I didn’t. The legacy is there whether you like it or not. The trick is to use it as a foundation rather than a ceiling. I just focused on finding what made Eric Draven human and then tearing that apart.

4. You’ve become known for taking on intense, emotionally charged roles. How do you unwind when you’re not on set?

I'm a fan of the great indoors. The more time I spend by myself the better, so music and books and just being somewhere familiar and comfortable.

5. What’s the most valuable lesson you’ve learned in your career so far?

I think when I noticed how the industry has a way of chewing up egos and spitting them out. Once I figured out that there wasn't any need to take any of it so seriously, a lot of things became easier.

6. "Archive 81" explores the impact of the past on the present. How do you deal with your own past experiences?

I don't want to say something like learning from them, but it feels like that's the right answer. We should probably learn from them, right? I guess I accept mine. Or ignore them. No one can explain the exact difference between the two of those things, anyways.

7. What advice would you give to aspiring actors who are just starting out?

Don't. But, if your heart is really set on it then I guess, do. Also, don't watch more movies just because you want to act. Read more books.

8. You've been in the industry for several years now. How do you stay motivated and passionate about your work after all this time?

Every new project is a shiny new distraction from the existential dread.

9. With all the intense roles you've taken on, is there a genre or type of character you haven’t explored yet but would like to?

No. And I'll leave that for you to decide if it's because I'm a one trick pony, or if I'm just incredibly fussy.

10. You've worked with some incredibly talented directors and actors over the years. Is there anyone you haven’t collaborated with yet who’s on your wish list?

Quentin Tarantino, maybe. He might be able to turn my brooding into something glamorous, or tolerable.

Monty fanfic ideas, or maybe just general FNAF SB ideas, for you all because I can and I will - Space AU edition (can it even be an 'edition' if it's the first Monty post I make?)

Oh the wonders of space AU's and the fact I've been watching sci-fi films again,,

Monty and the other animatronics are space explorers. They're not exactly the same race but they'd fall under the same species. They hear a signal coming from a planet and are sent to retrieve whatever is causing it. Simultaneously, Reader is sent by the humans to explore the cause if the signal. Chaos ensues, namely language barriers and each species deaming the other primitive because of miscommunication.

Similarly, same idea with the signal, but instead of Reader being sent by humans - with all the fancy high-grade technology - they're more of a space pirate. They ship is made of junk. Very much playing into the idea of humans being space orcs.

Alternative, Reader is still a space pirate in this, but they see a bunch of scrap floating in space and choose to scavenge it. Turns out what they scavenge is a very "post-vanny" sort of situation with the animatronics still being, well, animatronics in this.

Oh! And since cyberpunk counts as space if you have space aspects in it, have this-

Monty, like the other animatronics, are attractions in a kind of amusement park. Reader is a sort of outcast in society. Similarly to Monty, they too hate people seeing them as incapable of anything but damage. That being said, to act against the government they end up stealing the animatronics. (Did I mention cyberpunk in this? Nope! But imagine that's the setting).

Not back to watching sci-fi movies for me,,
