For your random heroes and villains prompts, cna you please do the word "Knight"? 🛡️⚔️👀
Love,
@heroes-villains-side-blog
Hmm, a tricky one because I can’t think of knights without thinking about these Going Medieval articles, but let’s see:
Knight
“Hero, you make me think of a knight of the ancient times.” “Really?” “Yes, really. You’re a mercenary lapdog used by some authority to control the masses by force.”
Henchman has accidentally set up a trap in the evil lair and is now stuck in the dark tower. Villain has to come to their rescue and the only way is to...climb it? Aw, come on.
Hero doesn’t live in a peculiar town. They go wherever there’s trouble, accepts every quest on their way, then leaves and never looks back. This time, someone wants to convince them to stay.
By mistake, Villain has given life to some old windmills. Only a brave knight can save us now, maybe with a sidekick on a donkey.
Following time hijinks, hero’s idol has come straight from the past, a noble knight who has won countless battles. However, there’s one hell of a generation gap between them.
Hero and Villain are both skilled horse riders. However, Villain’s horse is white and Hero’s horse is black. Who has ever heard of a dark knight as a Hero? Confusion ensues. Public is dissatisfied. They have to make an exchange.
“A sword? You fight with a sword? You are so dead. Do you know what country this is?” “I have holy hand grenades, too. You’re welcome to try them.”
In this world, heroes has one person assigned that they have to protect before all. Of course, Hero has to protect Citizen, Villain’s secret identity.
To be one day a full hero, sidekicks have to obey them faithfully, to follow them in their quests and be at their constant service. Sidekick is...not okay with this.
Supervillain has released a dragon that wrecks the city. Hero is supposed to fight and kill it. Villain wants to adopt it. It’s on.

Well they caught him. If he wasn't the exact kind of person tumblr loves, the conspiracy theories about this being a random person being framed would have continued to spread. But he's an attractive 26 year old white man who was caught carrying a manifesto about corporate America and has an internet history that matches up with tumblr's general politics. So everyone is going to get excited about how he's a martyr and go back to acknowledging reality in that there isn't a conspiracy to frame the wrong guy.
The discussions over whether or not this man should be lionized as a hero are honestly not as relevant as the comfort with which people are going to drop the conspiracy theory they would have been fully committed to if this man's politics turned out to be nuts. The ease with which the userbase of this website switches between realities based on whether or not they confirm their biases is really alarming. I just hope people understand how weird it is to claim a random person is 100% going to be framed by the FBI on one day, and then drop that by the next day when it becomes clear that the person being "framed" is the exact kind of communist you had hoped.
#gingerswagfreckles#i feel like this comes off as waaah the ceo got shot and i really dont feel that way#i dont care he had it coming#and also. i cannot say yet bc not much info has come out but so far the shooter doesnt seem like someone i dont generally agree with#(preliminarily. maybe the manifesfo is super nuts idk)#but i really think that everyone's excitement to celebrate this guy as a hero is going to#distract from the fact that leftists have like decided conspiracies theories are completely acceptable#and not only that they're fun and true based on nothing but also that they stop being true#when theyre no longer politically beneficial#which just like. do you guys even understand how bad that is. not just that ppl are all gung ho about conspiracies now#but that theyre not dropping them in response to new information that disproves them#but in response to new information that makes them politically inconvenienient to continue to believe#it implies that a huge chunk of leftists are not basing their opinions on reality and facts but whatever makes them feel good and confirms#their identity within their social group. which has been true to some extent for a while#but we are getting to the point where people arent uncomfortable with the cognitive dissonance#that comes with believing in different versions of reality from one moment to the next based on what feels like it would be cool#in that moment#idk we are all doomed i think#i saw this coming back in 2017 and no one listened to me :/ people dont believe in objective truth anymore#they believe truth is something malleable that can be changed to confirm their beliefs#rather than something objective that they should change their beliefs in response to#like why are you all dropping the whole this is a random person being framed thing if you believed that yesterday#like oh ok NOW the police are a reliable source for identifying who the perpetrator is?? bc the perpetrator turned out to be someone you#think is cool?? i do not believe you guys would be believing these same souces arent in on a conspiracy against leftists if this guy#had turned out to be someone you dont like and agree with#luigi mangione#united healthcare#united healthcare ceo#united healthcare ceo assassination

You're a fucking weird hacker
Batfam Yan! × Troll Hacker! Reader
《Platonic!》
Note: English is not my first language, sorry if there is any translation error

You were a fucking pain
For months you had been bothering the batfam with your stupid pranks, they started off as mild as sending viruses to their emails or making up gossip on the internet
But now? Now you were just annoying, you managed to piss off the whole batfam even batman himself
You managed to hack the batcomputer and fill it with viruses, you even managed to hack Barbara which was quite surprising, your skills with technology went beyond what they had anticipated
No matter what they did they simply couldn't find anything about you, it's like you only existed on the net
One thing was clear, you were much smarter than all of them and you used that intelligence to make their lives miserable and annoy them
But the straw that broke the camel's back was when you threatened to show their secret identities to the world, it wasn't an empty threat you sent them evidence and it was clear that you weren't lying
You had the most important family of heroes in the palm of your hand
From that moment on they became more serious with their investigation, they tried to find anything that could tell them something about you or your information
But every time they found a clue it was just a joke yours, you yourself put those "clues" which were links with viruses that would easily render a computer useless or to weird porn pages and when I say they were weird, they were WEIRD
You were always two steps ahead of them, what surprised everyone the most is that you did nothing with that information
You just wanted to scare them and have fun for a while, your jokes continued but they were no longer as constant as before
Until days after the incident an anonymous email arrived, batman hesitated to open it but after confirming that it was not some kind of virus or joke he read it
He was surprised when he saw that it was a huge world document where you detailed with evidence the next plan of riddler
He was surprised at how well detailed and written it was, you had put the date, place, time and even minute of the attack
At the end there was a small message in the email that confirmed that it was clearly you who had sent that
"Take this as a small apology for my bad behavior :3"
A small smile formed on the man's face, maybe you weren't as bad as he thought
And so the days went by, from one day to the next you had changed now you helped them by filtering information about villains and criminals making their plans fail
In that short period of time you made the negative opinion of the batfam that they had of you change
In that time, you became great friends with Barbara and Tim
You and Barbara loved technology and programming, while with Tim you were both nerds with similar tastes
Of course, you communicated with them from anonymous messages but they still managed to get to know you a lot more
But then a small slip occurred, when you sent one of your reports about a future plan of Joker you forgot to use an anonymous email and you sent it from your main account
That's where your problems began, in a few hours the entire batfamily had your information, from your age, face and address
They discovered that you were barely a teenager with apparently too much free time
They also discovered You didn't have parents, you were an orphan teenager who lived in a small apartment and worked on weekends in those geeky or otaku stores.
Clearly you almost fainted when you opened the door to your apartment thinking it was the pizza delivery guy, you were surprised when you found Batman staring at you.
God, he looked even bigger in person.
"What are you doing here!?"
You said surprised walking backwards, you didn't imagine that he would be able to find your address, although you shouldn't be surprised it was Batman having literally doxed you was the calmest thing he could do
"I want to talk to you"
He tried to sound as serious as possible but it was almost impossible, in his mind he could only think about the person who literally made him lose his mind in person looked so fragile and small
"Well I don't want to talk, so get out"
You were already tired of this, you thought that if you helped him in his cases he would leave you alone but it seems that you awakened that protective paternal instinct
When you were about to close the door he held it tightly preventing you from closing it
"Really?"
You looked at him angrily, you couldn't believe he was so stubborn You let out a sigh of defeat and let him in
"Well, what do you want?"
You said as you laid down on your little couch, he just stood there looking at you
"This place is very dangerous"
That made you raise an eyebrow, why did he care about you?
"So?"
"You should move, the crime rates in this area went up too much"
You just frowned at that comment, who did he think he was to tell you where to live
"I don't care, I've lived here all my life I know how to take care of myself, I don't need your protection"
You didn't need a man you barely knew to take care of you, you had been alone since you were 13, you knew very well how to take care of yourself
After that strange interaction with Bruce you started receiving checks in his names, the water bill, the electricity bill and even your apartment were paid
But apparently it wasn't enough with the man's visit if he didn't also come to visit every fucking member of the batfamily
It started with Richard coming at night and opening (breaking) your window and talking to you as if you were some kind of younger sister, it made you uncomfortable the way he thought he knew you in every way besides being too clingy like hugging you for hours or not wanting to let go
Then he arrived Jason, you didn't have that many problems with him, the only thing you couldn't complain about was that at least he respected your personal space
He used to talk to you about books he read or was reading while you pretended to listen but deep down you just wanted him to get the hell out of your house
Tim wasn't as talkative as Jason or Richard, but still his presence just seemed irritating and annoying to you
It seemed like he thought that just because you had the same tastes you were going to be friends, you hated that he didn't respect your personal space and filled you with questions
Damian, how I hated that little demon he only came to your house to bother you and ask you (force you and threaten you) to fix his things, like his Robin gadgets or to improve something
At least he paid you with the food Alfred made and if you were honest it was delicious, it was worth putting up with his orders if that meant being able to try that kind old man's food
With Barbara you only talked by text, although it bothered you how insistent she could be
Cass was very quiet, she used to come to your house at night and enter your room and watch you work, sometimes she went just to rest a while from the patrol or sometimes she just enjoyed your presence but even so you considered it weird or strange
Steph treated you as if she knew you all your life, she forced you to go shopping with her and go to spas together
It's not that you didn't enjoy it, you just hated being surrounded by people with all your being, plus you felt like she didn't even listen to your opinions, you felt like she was just using you like a toy
You did everything possible to stop talking to them, you even thought about moving somewhere else, with the money that Bruce sent you it was going to be more than enough to go to another city far from Gotham
Far from them
But you knew it was going to be useless, they knew everything about you, you knew that they were even capable of putting cameras hidden around your apartment just to keep a closer eye on you
If you tried to talk to Bruce and tell him he wasn't respecting your privacy he would just use the excuse that he just wanted you to be safe
You hated that he had control over you, that they had any kind of control in your life
It was too late to regret, all eyes were on you
And they weren't going to let you escape from them that easily

I'll leave this here before I go to sleep

my take on "the hero would sacrifice you to save the world but the villain would sacrifice the world to save you" & tf141....
DARK THEMES, PLEASE BE WARNED
we all know these men are soldiers through and through. they put their lives on the line for the good of the world and they do it no questions asked.
but when it comes to you?
fuck that
there is nothing, and i mean nothing, that will stop these boys from keeping you alive and happy.
JOHN PRICE knows the power he holds. he knows the respect and fear that ranks both above and below him have for him. he knows that and he's going to abuse it when it comes to you.
you come to base and someone's bothering you? they're answering to a pissed off captain who doesn't give two shits about the morality of his punishment. as long as his love is happy, he's happy.
and who cares if he sends that idiot of a soldier into a situation where he's sure there's a good chance he won't make it out? price claims it to be "good experience". no one but him needs to know that it's more of an execution than anything
SIMON RILEY is the guard dog you never thought you'd need but boy are you glad you have him. walking places is a mindless activity knowing you have a giant of a man watching every single moving thing that enters your presence.
he was a weapon of mass destruction when he wanted to he. and when you came home crying, telling him about the store clerk who yelled at you because you tried to them that they over charged you for an item, he knew that his brute strength was needed.
and who cares if the store clerk was found outside in the alley by the shop, their face bashed in over and over and over again until they were almost unrecognizable? that's one less employ the store had to pay
JOHNNY MACTAVISH is a dedicated lover and an even more dedicated demolitionist. he's constantly showing you his silly little notebooks that are detailed with fun chemical reactions and ways to make green fire using sugar and boric acid. it's always fun to keep you entertained and a smile on your face brings a smile to his
but when you come home from work and that smile is no where to be found, he's immediately inquiring why. when you tell him about your shitty boss and the horrible way you've been treated, he's immediately pulling out his notebook and distracting you with silly chemical reactions and even putting on a small show for you to cheer you up.
and who cares if a week later your boss was found dead in his apartment, some type of untracable lethal poison infused in his coffee? you had always liked the assistant director better anyway.
KYLE GARRICK was a sweetheart through and through. he sweet talked his way into your life and you're glad you let him. his affirmations were always what you needed and when you needed. the way he'd hold you in his arms and whisper all the incredible things he saw in you never failed to warm your heart. he was observant and smart, seeing right through you and everyone else around him.
so when you had to delete a few nasty messages on social media after kyle made a post about you, he was less than pleased. he took you and your happiness very seriously. he posted you because he wanted to. he loved showing you off and he wanted the world to see how happy you made him. a few anonymous profiles weren't going to change that.
so who cares if their names, jobs, profiles, browsing history, and text messages were all exposed? the nasty information was all kyle needed to know that those men would never see the light of day again

"That time I killed a god"
The three oldest Links decide to go down to the bar of the tavern they are staying at and have a drink.
It's the first time they have done this since they met.
"I don't really drink much." Sky says:" What should I order?" He isn't an expert on alcohol:" I am going to take a beer, it's pretty light." Time responds:" I will take a glass of rum."
So they sit down at the counter and order, Sky copies Time's beer.
They are having light conversations, telling fun stories. Just a nice time.
When Wars finishes his glass when Sky and Time are at the half of theirs:" Another glass please." Time looks at him:" Don't over do it." He reminds him:" Don't worry about it, Sprite. I have a good tolerance."
As they talk, the two haven't noticed that Sky has been silent for a while.
The alcohol is hitting Sky pretty hard. He isn't even realising, his mind is already wondering about other things. Thinking about Zelda, his home, his loftwing....
Then to his last battle with Demise.
Normally it would be a bad memory, the hardest battle of his life. But right now he remembers it as the most funny and absurd thing of his life.
He giggles and, without thinking, says:" Did I ever tell you about that time I killed a god?"
Time and Wars turn confused by their friend's words, thinking that the alcohol is already messing with them:" Eh?"
"I never told you about that? Alright then-" Sky starts to talk about his journey, but it's almost nonsense.
He is telling things out of order, giving names and places without context or much of an explanation.
Wars and Time let him talk, not really getting any answer to the million questions in their head.
Finally, Sky stops talking, slowly falling asleep on the counter.
The other two Heroes help him get upstairs to his room.
"Woah." Legend says surprise, Sky and him are sharing a room:" How much did he drink?!"
Wars takes off Sky's shoes and places him on the bed:" He barely finished one beer."
..................
The next day, in the early afternoon, Time and Wars decide to confront Sky.
"Sky can we talk?" Time calls him over.
Sky had a rough morning, but after eating lunch he is feeling better:" Sure." They go to a more isolated place.
"About last night..." Wars starts:" Oh yeah... Sorry about that!" Sky is quick to apologise:" I didn't think my tolerance was so bad. I am sorry that we had to stop longer." Since they all knew Sky wasn't going to wake up early that morning, they all decided to stay another day in the tavern.
"Don't worry about that. We needed more time to take information anyway." The Captain reassures him:" You said strange stuff last night. About killing a god..."
"Oh."
They retell everything that Sky told them.
In the end the only thing that they understood is that: Sky fought someone's toes with a groosenator? Jumped off sky islands and fought a god. All of this to save Zelda.
"Oh goddess..." Sky sighs, hating his drunk self.
"You don't have to tell us anything. We just want you to know." Time reassures him, but Sky shakes his head:" Look..."
"You know that I haven't fought Ganon, I fought a god called Demise and killed him at the end of my adventure. But it wasn't something I really wanted to share."
Wars interrupts him:" And we will act as if we heard nothing, alright? At the bar there were only us, the others don't know about it."
Sky is glad.
They decided to never talk about it again and, from now on, Sky is only drinking non alcoholic drinks.

Write a weak hero
Okay, first, what is weak? According to Oxford Dictionary, weak is lacking the power to perform physically demanding tasks; lacking physical strength and energy, or liable to break or give way under pressure; easily damaged.
That means, a weak hero is a character who isn't physically strong, mentally strong or even both.
So, how can we create a weak hero but do not make readers hate him/her? You will know after this post!
First, developing an effectively background
Unlike typical heroes who may have been born with incredible powers or had a dramatic origin story, the weak hero should come from a mundane background. They can be an ordinary person with nothing outstanding, a failure, etc. and suddenly have to shoulder the responsibility of "a hero" even though they don't want it.
Focus on their mundaneness and weakness. Describe the awkward situation where they are forced to become heroes. Why were they chosen to be heroes, when there are others who are more talented and powerful? What were the circumstances under which this happened? Make it as clear as possible.
Don't forget to describe their thoughts, feelings, and reactions. In their backstory, highlight times when the weak hero tried to be heroic or take on challenges, only to fall flat on their face. Was there a specific incident that shattered their self-esteem? Do they come from a family or environment that was overly critical? These past embarrassments and disappointments can inform their current self-doubts.
Use flashbacks strategically. Intersperse key backstory moments throughout the narrative to gradually reveal the hero's history and motivations, rather than dumping it all at once. This will help the reader better understand the character's journey and the reasons behind their reluctance to embrace the role of a hero.

Second, emphasizing their weakness
Focus on their mundane, everyday struggles. Rather than epic battles, the weak hero's conflicts should revolve around things like asking neighbors for help or failing to complete simple tasks.
You can also contrast them with stronger, more capable heroes. Have the weak hero regularly get overshadowed or overlooked by the more impressive feats of other characters.
The weak hero's ineptitude and frustrations can be a great source of comedy. So don't be afraid to poke fun at their failings :).

Third, slowly build towards small victories
If you want your weak hero to be liked by the readers, never let them be weak all the time. Drop subtle hints in the backstory that suggest the hero has untapped potential or unique talents that could one day be leveraged in unexpected ways, even if they don't realize it themselves.
Focus on the why. What made them become strong, or strive to become stronger? Is it a long-term motivation or a temporary one? Are they doing it for themselves or others? What will they do to overcome their weaknesses? Over time, the weak hero can learn to leverage their "useless" powers in clever ways and gain a little more confidence, even if they never become a heavy hitter.
And, remember to highlight their determination. Despite their shortcomings, the weak hero should possess an underlying stubbornness and refusal to give up. Showcase moments in their past where they persevered even when success seemed impossible.

Fourth, crafting challenges
When crafting challenges for a weak hero, you need to focus on obstacles that play to their specific limitations and insecurities. Here are some types of challenges a weak hero might face:
Outmatched in combat
The weak hero tries to take on a powerful villain, only to be easily overpowered by the villain's superior strength, speed, or abilities.
They get into a fight they can't win and have to rely on their wits or dumb luck to escape unscathed.
Inability to complete basic tasks
The weak hero struggles with simple everyday activities like opening a jar, fixing a leaky faucet, or assembling furniture.
These mundane challenges become major roadblocks that highlight their incompetence.
Social humiliation
The weak hero tries to interact with others, only to say the wrong thing and embarrass themselves.
They may attempt to flirt, negotiate, or simply make small talk, but end up flustered and socially awkward.
Lack of confidence
The weak hero doubts their abilities and has a hard time believing they can accomplish anything meaningful.
They may shrink away from opportunities to be heroic, worried they'll just mess things up.
Overbearing comparisons to stronger heroes
The weak hero is constantly overshadowed by the exploits of more powerful heroes, making them feel inadequate.
They may try to emulate the other heroes' successes, only to fail miserably.
Underestimation by villains
The villains dismiss the weak hero as harmless and ignore them, allowing the hero to stumble into accidentally foiling the villain's plans.
The villains may even make the mistake of toying with the weak hero, giving the hero a chance to catch them off guard.
The key is to create challenges that force the weak hero to rely on their limited abilities in creative ways. Gradually building their confidence through small wins can be a rewarding character arc.

Fifth, supportive relationships
The weak hero likely has friends, family members, or mentors who believe in them, even if the hero themselves does not. By including a support system of characters who see the weak hero's hidden potential, the narrative can strike a balance between the hero's self-doubt and the encouragement of those around them. These supporting characters can provide a counterpoint to the hero's negative self-perception, offering validation and pushing them to exceed their own expectations.
The interactions between the weak hero and their cheerleaders can also be a source of character development and emotional growth. As the hero gains confidence and finds ways to leverage their unique talents, the relationships with these supportive figures can evolve, deepening the overall narrative.
Supportive relationships can be of many types, but the most effective are:
A mentor figure who sees the hero's hidden strengths and pushes them to overcome their limitations.
A loyal friend who constantly encourages the hero and refuses to give up on them.
A capable sidekick or partner who can cover for the hero's weaknesses in battle.
A tech-savvy ally who develops gadgets or abilities to enhance the hero's limited powers.
A family member who provides unconditional love and acceptance, even when the hero doubts themselves.
A romantic interest who sees the hero's inner strength and brings out their best self.
A rival or adversary who recognizes the hero's true talents, forcing them to confront their own insecurities.
A renowned hero or role model who inspires the weak hero to strive for greatness, even if they don't believe they can achieve it.

It is not easy to create a weak hero. Crafting a compelling weak hero requires carefully balancing their flaws and insecurities with moments of growth and determination. You must find ways to make the character relatable and likable, despite their shortcomings, by highlighting their underlying potential and the support system that believes in them.

💫⏳ The Switch-A-Loop AU Guide ⏳💫

In this Au, Everyone Loops except Siffrin! This Au will focuses more on the party’s dynamics outside of just Sif. They try their best to figure out what is going on with the help of the mysterious Loop. They will find out more about the curse, the king, and most surprising their lovable rouge! Whether they want to or not…
Have fun!
Special Memories Here!
v The Characters v
- Mirabelle, The Chosen Heroine: Chosen by the Head Housemaiden, She first believes that the loops were the work of The Change God. A silly idea if you knew what she knew but a pleasant idea nonetheless! Besides, this way, she may be actually able to prove herself! This blessing would somehow give her the change she needed! At least… That’s what she thought… So why are they still here? What more does she need to prove? Maybe, the Head Housemaiden would know what happened to the world… Oh, if only there is a way to ask Siffrin what she said to him?
- Isabeau, The Beloved Warrior: You know it’s funny, he always thought that defeating the king would be more impactful. Like in those books you read as a kid! The hero goes on this incredible journey, growing stronger, falling in love, all that jazz! But boy, these Loops took the wind out of his sails! Like, he barely try’s to confess to Sif anymore (not that he feels any less about them). However, now knowing that beating the king wouldn’t stop the loops, the next best thing is to try other ways! Now he doesn’t like to brag, but he’s a pretty smart guy. Siffrin has something to do with what’s happening, as much as he doesn’t want to admit it. Maybe, there is a way to help them help the others! It just might work!
- Odlie, The Wary Scholar: Well, this turns out to be quite more than she signed up for. Not to say that she entirely regrets meeting any of them, they are quite the enjoyable lot to be around… However, it seems these Loops are taking a toll for the lot of them. Fortunately, she is ready to find out what exactly is going on. Luckily, she has taken the time of taking notes, oh she loves her notes! Although, there is a part of the puzzle that at every angle doesn’t quite fit. Siffrin. As much as she doesn’t want to admit it, they are in the middle of all of this Somehow… The fact that they don’t remember the loops, the way the king talks to them, even when he talks to the Housemaiden. The other’s try tell Odlie that it’s probably nothing, that Siffrin is in just as lost as the rest of them. But she just can’t let this go. She will find out why this is happening to her family, whether Siffrin is guilty or not…
- Bonnie, The Pure Hearted: Now, they may not understand what is happening and why all the adults are scared. But that is okay! The party snack leader is here to keep everyone safe, especially Frin. Frin can’t remember like the rest of them, so Bonnie has to make extra sure that he’s okay. Making sure he avoids all the tears, not to hit their hip against that counter, not to eat the pineapple and all that stuff! After all, it’s the least they can do. After what they did to… Anyway, they already somehow got Frin to let them hug him and sometimes he even call them “Bon Bon”! So, the other’s say that Firn and the king might be from that country that everyone forgot or something. Maybe, if you can get the King and Frin to talk… Maybe the King will help them! Like, What’s the worst that can happen! :)
- Loop, The Starstuck Guide: It’s Loop! The incredibly helpful and informative guide to this party! The only one that seems to know all about the loops. The party is unsure about what Loops wants out of this, and all the advice they give is weird/confusing! Also, they are kind of mean? Like, they try to comfort the party the best they can. However, when it comes to Siffrin… They don’t say anything out front about Sif but they do say things about him. Like pointing out all of his deaths or mistakes, lightly insulting him and making fun about how forgetful he is. It’s not great! Like who do they think they are. They just don’t know Siffrin like the rest of the party do… However, there is something familiar about this stranger.

Disability in fiction
This was a tough post to write.
I saw a post about disability rep, and I kept thinking about it, and wanted to share my own takes on the topic.
I thought about it for days, trying to figure out how to word it. Then after drafting it, I stuck it in a file for a couple of weeks, trying to decide if I could even post it. This is not a topic that can be boiled down to a simple yes/no kind of answer.
Let’s start with two examples.
1 - I have a short story I started writing (it wants to grow up to be longer, so it’s waiting for time) where my original concept was to write about an older woman who is short and has major chronic pain, and I wanted to dig into fantasy reasons why this pain exists, but at the same time, have her be able to kick ass despite being exhausted and dealing with excruciatingly painful issues.
2 - I once drafted a portal fantasy storyline wherein a young man was transported into a fantasy world, and when he was given a horse to ride, he approached it very warily. He was encouraged to mount, did so, and sat there and exclaimed in shock, “My brain isn’t exploding with snot!” because his allergies hadn’t come with him into the body he had in the fantasy world.
Both stories were designed to be fun, a bit light, maybe even cozy.
So.
In one case, the disabled character remains disabled and kicks ass anyway. And in the other case, the character is magically “healed” and no longer has debilitating allergies that had wrecked his way of life.
This is the difficult part to express: I think both storylines are valid.
Bear with me while I dig into this.
First and foremost: I completely agree that we need more representation in all forms of fiction, especially when it comes to disabled people being able to live their lives. Characters with missing limbs, or non-neurotypical brains, or anxiety & depression, or hearing issues, or sight problems, or chronic pain, or… or… you get the idea. We need all of it, and we need it to not need to be magically healed in order for a story to be considered happy and cozy. Disabled people can be happy, too.
I’m all in for this, and I wouldn’t write the stories I do if I weren’t.
However, there are also moments where I am so exhausted by my body and by everything I deal with inside of it where I do wish for that magical ability to forget that my pain exists. Or for the ability to actually process information in a straight line, or make decisions without writing a hundred lists and accomplishing nothing from them. Or to be able to lie down in a field of grass without regretting it for days while I drip snot and fight sinus-pain-induced migraines.
Sometimes I want to imagine that my life is different.
And that is one of the joys of writing. I can choose to write a story where people like me or the people I know are the heroes/heroines exactly as they are, different abilities and all. Or I can choose to write a story where the problems magically resolve.
Both can be cozy, sweet, and adorable. I can give the character with chronic pain the ability to kick ass, take names, and have a sweet reunion with her ex-girlfriend. I can show all the ways that my disabilities may define how I handle my life differently than someone else, but do not define what I can and cannot do.
But I can also daydream about a life where it’s different, the same way I can daydream about having wings, or being able to teleport. For me, imagining a day with no pain is the same as a day where I can walk through walls. It is absolutely a fantasy, and about as likely to happen.
Here’s the thing: It’s okay to be angry to see what looks like disability being erased. It’s okay to wonder why the author did that, why they magically healed someone instead of letting them be who they were. But at the same time, maybe ask why, and what point of view it’s coming from. Or look a little deeper into the story and how the resolution occurs, and the effect it does have on the character (I suspect that were I to suddenly have a day of no pain, I’d be intensely reckless, given what an idiot I am while IN pain, y’know? And WOW would I regret that later…).
And for authors, think about what you’re writing. WHY is this particular event (keeping disability, erasing it, whichever or both) happening, because the reader will take note of it. They may see things that weren’t intended, but are there as unintentional biases.
Make conscious decisions for why things happen.
Someday I want to get back to both of those examples from the start of this post; I still like both concepts. But I’ll be writing them for very different reasons, and both will be healing my soul in different ways. Different kinds of daydreams. And again, I think that’s valid, too.

Heyy, i wanted to request a Eresermic im which Aizawa has a biological daughter, but she is being bullied and they noticed when she was already thinking in ending it all.
I understand if this is too dark, i just lived something similar and my parents blamed me, so some confort would be apreciared hahaha
Thankss, i love your writing
(Oh my gosh, this hits so close to home because this happened to me. My parents grew up in the era where if boys were mean to you it was because they like you. So when I begged them to do something about my bullies, they did nothing. Needless to say, my childlike innocence was the only reason why I’m alive. Although I may be doing better than I was back then, nothing can erase the trauma from the unintentional neglect from my parents. I hope you don’t mind, but I’ll be basing this somewhat off of my own experience and I’ll be putting it in the Pro Heroes x Inner Child Series)
Erasermic x Aizawa’s Bullied Daughter Reader
(TRIGGER WARNING: This story has mentions of bullying, harassment, allusions to suicide and suicidal thoughts, depression and other potentially triggering topics. Please be advised)
Since you basically have two dads, you refer to Hizashi as papa and Shouta as dad
Your quirk was called restraint. Basically if you called someone by their real, full name, you could temporarily restrain them as long as you focused on them
But just like your dad, you also had to be able to see your target
But unlike your classmates, you were a late bloomer. You developed your quirk at age 8, which led to you being bullied by your peers
You knew that your dad’s worked really hard and that their jobs were really stressful at times. So the last thing you wanted was to be another source of stress for them. Which is why you didn’t tell them about the bullying
You were 11 when you just couldn’t take it anymore. You tried to deal with the situation on your own, you tried to fight your bullies who even started making fun of your dad’s being a couple
You tried not to let anyone’s words affect you but after so many years, you started to believe them too. And you began to bully yourself
You would tell yourself that your dad’s already had enough stress on their plates and that you were just a burden on them. You had started to mentally and physically beat yourself up
The bullies had started to use their quirks on you, resulting in bruises which you would hide with makeup that your Aunt Nemuri had gotten you since you started to develop acne
Since your dads would get home late, you had plenty of time to get home and cover up any wounds
One day, you just had enough
You decided that you were better off dead. You decided that you would take your own life after you got home and would leave a note before leaving the house so your dads wouldn’t have to deal with the body
Unknown to you, Aizawa had gotten a call from one of your teachers who was concerned about you. She had seen you fighting and decided to give Aizawa a call since your grades and overall performance had declined significantly
Aizawa had informed Hizashi of the call and they decided to go home early and wait for you. They believed that you were going through puberty and the hormonal changes were effecting your performance and were the cause
Imagine their surprise when you get home, covered in bruises, a busted lip that was still bleeding and a completely dead look in your eyes
Seeing their precious baby in such a state they immediately started to worry and begged you to talk to them
They had prepared your favorite food for dinner and even got you your favorite dessert as a treat. Seeing how sweet they were, you broke down and confessed your pain and your plan
Hizashi was balling his eyes out and wrapped you in his arms while Aizawa had clenched fists with tears in his eyes.
Aizawa made the call to your school demanding a talk with the principal and the parents of your bullies. While Aizawa was setting that up, Hizashi had you sit on the couch while he tended to your wounds, disinfecting them, cleaning them and bandaging them
He told you that he loves you even though you’re not his biological kid, you’re HIS little listener, his favorite kid in the whole world. He then picked you up and smothered you in hugs and kisses
Aizawa came back into the room and brought the food
That night, you guys are on the couch as you snuggled together under a blanket and watch your favorite movie
The next day, Aizawa and Hizashi dropped you off at UA with Nemuri, while they had a talk with your teachers and bullies. They decided that homeschooling would be the best for you right now since they want to make sure you heal mentally, physically and emotionally from this before you go back
They had told Nedzu what happened and he agreed that for the meantime, until you were mentally stable again, the safest bet would be to have you do your homeschooling at UA where you’ll be surrounded by people who can help you and prevent you from doing anything detrimental to yourself
Needless to say, they love you and you are their whole world and you’re the reason why they fight to come home. You’re their motivation and the reason they fight to protect
(I hoped this helps you and that you guys enjoy this)

“Hey, I need to get married for bullshit Infinite Realms reasons, you two in?”
“Tt, of course.”
“Sure thing! Do we need to get going for that like, right now? Or later?”
“Eh, like in a couple of hours? The Observants are demanding some Royal Ball or something and they pulled out some stupid old laws out of their collective asses that if I’m not married by the time it starts they can assign me spouses of their choosing, can you fucking believe that shit?”
“Woah, what the hell? Can they even do that?”
“I was under the impression they were only permitted to observe.”
“Right? It’s total crap, but apparently there’s like this super old law on the books and they didn’t bring it up until now when there’s like no time left to try and force me to marry someone they pick.”
“They are training to gain influence over you?”
“Eh, more like they’re trying to get control of my Dad by way of me. But still fucked as hell.”
“So why do you need to marry both of us? Or do you just need to marry one of us and we should play rock paper scissor for it?”
“Technically I only need to marry one of you, but I don’t want them pulling out any loopholes or something. So, it’d be great if one of you could be my consort for my role as Queen of Mirrors, and one could be my consort for my role as Crown Princess. You two can figure who’s who on that all that, I’m good with whatever.”
“Oooh, can I be consort for the Mirror Court? I can annoy Kon more that way.”
“I am amenable to that. Grandfather will have a fit when he learns that I can cut his access to the Pits off at my discretion and there’s nothing he can do about it.”
“Awesome, okay are you two good for meeting up at like, three? We can pop over to my Lair and get everything sorted out there.”
“Works for me, my only class til this afternoon is at one and the professor already said we’re cutting out early because she has to go out of town this weekend.”
“Four would be more agreeable if possible, I have to take Titus to the vet for his checkup.”
“Okay let’s aim for four then. It’s just signing some paperwork, making some quick blood-slash-ectoplasm pacts and swearing a couple binding oaths… Should only take like five or ten minutes?”
“They’re not gonna make you have a huge royal wedding or anything?”
“Nah. Dad keeps things pretty chill so as long as the paperwork is all in order we’ll be good. Though once Auntie Dorathea finds out she’s absolutely gonna make us have one. She loves planning weddings. Swear its what she makes her hoard out of somehow.”
“So long as we have a say in some of the proceedings I have no issue with that eventuality.”
“Same, it sounds like it’d be a fun way to annoy the Observants even more.”
“Don’t for get all the weirdos trying to be my suitors and all that bullshit.”
“We have an accord then. We can reconvene at the usual place.”
“Awesome, you two are the best! I gotta jet and let everyone know and get the ball rolling on the paperwork stuff. See you guys at four!”
With that, Nomad - Stella Phantom, Crown Princess of the Infinite Realms, Queen of Mirrors, Core of the Speedforce and ghostly hero of the Titans and the Justice League - tore a rip in the fabric of space and time and darted out of the room the same way she came. Through the mind-bending tear in reality the eerie, eye-searing green of the Infinite Realms glowed in all its unsettling glory, Phantom Keep a glittering expanse of night sky made solid in the distance.
Jon waved at her cheerfully as Damian gave a nod of farewell before both silently turned their attention back to their respective tablets as the portal closed behind their friend and teammate and the glimpse of the Ghost Zone disappeared again. Completely unbothered by the conversation just held or the life changing implications that came with them.
Jon was humming as he tapped away at something on the screen before him, Damian propping his head up on his fist in vague boredom as he frowned down at the information he was reading.
The rest of the room Nomad had left behind was caught in a frozen, stunned silence in the wake of the baffling conversation they’d all just been witness to. All eyes in the room darted between Flamebird and Pheonix seated calmly at the end of the table, then to the space where Nomad had disappeared to, back to the young men, and then towards the head of the table where Superman and Batman sat looking bewildered and a bit on the verge of heart attacks.
The short status update meeting was about to become much, much longer it seemed.
Though a lot more entertaining.

"Tell me what I did wrong." Villain's voice was edged with concern, serious to an unusual degree.
Hero glared, still trying to catch their breath. "Nothing. We've tried to kill each other numerous times, stop acting like this is anything out of the ordinary."
"Our spats never led to you having a five minute panic attack before now." Their voice was straight to the point, wanting to know what's different this time. They've exchanged blows plenty of times, almost every interaction of theirs being harsh words spit defiantly, fists cracking against flesh, bared teeth, and sharp nails digging into skin.
Hero always gave it as good as they got, and that was the violent and addictive dance they've repeated over and over. Today was different, Villain doesn't know why, but it was different. What started out as one of their usual fights ended abruptly with Hero gasping for air, panicking, eyes looking as if they were a million miles away at the moment.
They don't know what set Hero off, and they certainly didn't know what to do. Villain did their best to help them ride it out despite the unfamiliarity of this contrasted with their typical relationship, and when they calmed enough, they wanted answers.
"Obviously, something upset you. I can't concentrate on fighting you if you're going to panic like this in the middle of it."
Hero narrowed their eyes more, their face flushing with embarrassment and irritation. "Oh well, I wouldn't want to inconvenience you! Maybe you should have taken the opportunity to finish me off."
Sighing and rethinking their words, Villain speaks more calmly. "That's not what I meant. I don't want to upset you again. You may be my nemesis, but I don't care for unfair fights." They use a hand to tilt Hero's face up, not unkindly. "I need your mind and attention on me when it's the two off us. Anything less, and it's not fun."
Hero scoffs but doesn't move their head away. "It's nothing you did. I just get memories sometimes." This is all the information they're willing to divulge, if only to get Villain to stop questioning them with those eyes that look too soft right now.
"Hmm... something someone else did?" Villain bends down closer, voice too sincere, grasp not painful enough, "would you like me to kill them, sweetheart? Would that help keep you focused on me?"

Hi! I adore your writing! Could you please write some fluff? Where either the hero or the villain has nightmares and the other takes care of them. But the one that takes care of them is actually breaking into their base to get information. And the one with the nightmares is usually super happy and doesn’t like to show their pain. I hope all of that makes sense lol! Thanks no pressure if you can’t do it or you’re busy!
The villain couldn't think of any words. Not really.
All they could do was stand there, glued to the ground. Breaking into the hero's room had been quite tricky. After all, this building was packed with security.
But now that they were here, they couldn't believe their eyes.
It was messy. Very messy. Some furniture was simply destroyed - a table was split into two, as if the hero had punched through it. The shards of a vase were discarded on the ground and above all that: paper. A lot of paper.
The villain suspected the hero had thrown several files to the ground and the many pages had simply spread through the whole room.
They dared to look at the hero. The very same hero that turned away and clenched their fists.
"How did you...?" the hero began. Their voice was anything but stable, anything but usually cheery. "...ah, nevermind."
"I disabled the security system for a while," the villain said. Their voice was quiet and they were debating if they should throw themselves out of a window. The discomfort of the entire situation was crushing them. They shouldn't have been here.
They took in a deep breath and took another look at the hero.
Whatever had happened, the hero seemed to be another person entirely. They were distant, so very distant.
It wasn't like their relationship had the deepest connection. The villain was more of an inconvenience to the hero, they supposed. A fun obstacle they liked to taunt. But still...the villain had never thought the hero to be capable of destroying their room like this.
Maybe it hadn't been the hero after all. Maybe another hero?
The villain's eyes narrowed.
"You're bleeding," they said. The hero didn't turn around, but they did look at their knuckles. They let their arm drop as if it was nothing.
"I don't have any valuables here, so if you want to steal something, you should..."
"What is going on?"
The hero was rational, even though they were coming across as playful most of the time. The hero was smart, they were in control of their emotions.
But this?
The hero squeezed their eyes shut and leaned against the wall.
"I'm not sure you're the right person to talk to."
"Oh."
Technically, the hero was right. It still stung a little, though.
They exchanged looks.
"But...do you know that feeling of healing horridly?" They looked at the ground and the villain wasn't quite sure if the moonlight illuminated their nemesis or an angel. What a horrible feeling. What a horrible pain in their chest.
Was it normal to feel this distraught? At the sight of someone they were supposed to loathe being this hurt?
"Do you mean not getting over something?"
"...not exactly. I..." They let their lashes flutter and the villain feared they were seeing tears in their eyes. "I've been working through some stuff. Things from my childhood, past relationships, my work...you know, stuff like that. And I'm trying really hard to heal. And not to turn bitter. I'm trying not to let it hurt so much. But...I think I can't. I feel like, even if my wounds do heal, the scars will spoil me forever."
The villain didn't know what the hero was talking about. Hell, they couldn't even relate to it. They had never given themselves enough time to think about healing. Most of the time, they pushed everything away that hurt and moved on.
"I feel like it stains, it's like blood that I can't wash off my hands. And it makes me so incredibly ugly, it makes me so sick. I have nightmares and I...I..." And there it was. A simple sob the hero didn't manage to swallow. They covered their mouth with their hand, turned away.
And for some reason, for some strange reason, the villain walked over to them, pulling them close. They hugged the hero, embraced them as if they were the only two people in the world and let the hero sob, soaking the villain's uniform in tears.
"I understand," the villain whispered. They tried to sound as soft as possible. This wasn't exactly their field of expertise, not by a long shot, but they knew what it was like to pretend. To doubt. To fail. "It won't be like this forever, I promise. It will fade."
"It won't go away, though, it will always be there. It will always-"
"It will fade," the villain repeated. They brushed some tears out of the hero's sight. "And one day, you won't notice it anymore. You won't think about it."
They took the hero's hand.
"I don't know what you are going through right now, but I know that you are strong and capable. You can beat this."
Suddenly, the hero pulled them closer again, pressed their face against the villain's shoulder. They didn't say anything and the villain thought they themselves couldn't come up with anything better. So, they just held onto the hero and waited until their nemesis calmed down.
Eventually, the hero leaned against them. Their voice was quiet.
"...I know I have no right to ask this and you can decline, of course. But could you stay a few hours?"
The villain felt their cheeks burn.
"Yes. I don't feel comfortable leaving you alone right now anyway." They pulled the hero a bit closer again. "But I am going to take care of your knuckles first."
In the end, the villain fell asleep next to the hero, despite their best efforts to stay awake.

“Happy Valentines Day to me,” Hero muttered under their breath as they took in the sight before them. It was February 14th, and like every February 14th, Hero’s desk was completely cluttered with flowers, chocolates and wax sealed letters from secret admirers. The agency, for whatever reason, allowed civilians to turn in Valentines gifts for a hero of their choice, and while all of the supers tended to get at least a couple, Hero always seemed to be the centre of attention.
One of the most crucial talents a Hero needed to have in this line of work was likeability. If the public feared and hated you — or at least, thought you were just a tad obnoxious — then you’d have a much harder time rescuing civilians. Each hero had their own gimmick, some were goofing pranksters, some were innocent and sweet, some were fun, adventurous and rebellious.
And Hero, they were the heartthrob. They knew they were conventionally attractive, blessed with what their superiors called a winning smile and a charismatic voice. It worked in their favour, well, until it meant half the work day spent trying to find paperwork buried amongst the gifts from adoring fans. The first Valentines wasn’t so bad, and Hero thought it was heartwarming that so many people desired them. But the excitement wears off after so long on the job, especially when the realisation that none of these gifters would ever even really know Hero had set in.
So, the do-gooder sighed, and made their way over to their superior’s office, where they would first be debriefed on today’s task. It was supposedly an easy errand, according to schedule. Hero soon reached the door, clutching their bag tightly to stop any coworkers from bashing it as they hurried by. Everyone had somewhere to be. Then, they knocked abruptly, and pushed the door open with a sense of casualty that only came from years and years of knowing Superhero.
The aforementioned hero was sat in their desk, hardly glancing up from their clipboard. Hero had a tendency of barging in without asking for permission to come in. When they heard the door slam shut again, followed by the sounds of shuffling into a chair, Superhero dropped their pen and looking up, quirking an eyebrow.
“That’s not the type of bag you should be using to carry weapons or confidential artifacts, so I hope you’re gripping that bag for a reason that isn’t to do with work, Hero,” Superhero commented, taking note of how Hero flustered slightly when they realised just how tightly they were clasping that bag.
“No, no, nothing to do with work. Didn’t uh, even realise I was holding it like that. The downsides of super strength, am I right?” Hero chuckled, trying to seem much more composed. They were the smooth talker, the one who was known for charming their way out of trouble. It was embarrassing how flushed they were right now. Thankfully, Superhero decided to move on with the conversation.
“It’s a simple task today, we just need you to bring some documents over to an informant of ours. Their photograph as well as the location you’ll be meeting them is all detailed here, look over them quickly, because I need you there no later than eleven this morning. Understood?”
Hero nodded curtly in response, picking up the documents and giving them a once-over. There was nothing majorly noteworthy about the mission itself, but the location caught their eye. The informant was going to meet them at an old laundromat nearby the train station, and more importantly, the hero had a particular errand to run nearby there. Hero felt a tingling sensation buzzing through their fingers at the realisation.
“I’ll get right on it, report back later today, boss,” Hero gave a two fingered salute, accompanied by their trademark smile, and headed for the door. The quicker they could get this job done, the more time they’d have to sort out their own business. The thought of that was all that occupied their mind, the details of the first task hardly given room in their mind.
—
Superhero was right, the job was exceedingly simple. The laundromat was almost entirely empty, the only other customer being an old lady who was too engrossed in trying to work the machines to pay attention to the hero and informant’s conversation. Few words were spoken between the two, this was information that didn’t concern any of Hero’s ongoing missions so there was hardly anything to say. Hero didn’t mind that, though. They had places to be.
As they dipped out of the laundromat, still clutching their bag like it held the worlds most precious valuables, they headed straight to task number two. Hero didn’t even stop to think about the directions, they knew them off by heart by now. Across the street, down the alley, turn a few corners, and there it was. The old wooden door sat unassuming along the wall, deep enough in the alley to be ignored.
Hero approached the door, already fishing for the lockpick they tended to keep in their back pocket. The hero wasn’t a towering brute who could knock down enemies like a tank, so they had learnt early on how to sneak around. The lock clicked quickly, it was a sound utterly familiar to Hero, who had now entered the musky room. There was no sign of life in there; a layer of dust had started to form on the shelves and not even a flicker of a lightbulb could illuminate the hero’s path. They didn’t need that light though, they had frequented Villain’s hideout enough by now to get around in the dark.
The floorboards creaked slightly with every step, and the smell of motor oil from the garage next door was subtle but noticeable. It made Hero’s nose scrunch up slightly, not used to this place being so desolate, lacking the familiar smell of the villain. Villain had been gone for months, now. Some major heist a continent or two away, they had mentioned. Hero didn’t expect to feel their absence so heavily, but here they were, sneaking around their hideout on Valentines Day.
But, they were supposed to be back tonight. Hero’s heart fluttered slightly at the thought. They’d hate to say it out loud, but they missed the villain. Somehow, the two had ended up as friends, and what better way to welcome a dear friend back home than with a gift? Hero approached the criminal’s desk, the idea of snooping for documents far from the forefront of their mind. Then, they reached into their bag, and pulled out their weapon of choice: a quaint box of chocolates tied neatly with a bow.
Sappy, the villain would likely say, and they wouldn’t be wrong. The box itself was as stereotypical as can be: a red heart wrapped with a crimson bow. Hero had considered a lot of different gifts for their villain, perhaps flowers or something less obvious. Sure, they had been crushing on Villain for the longest time, but that didn’t mean they should rush into things with the very first move. Something subtle to start things off, that would have been smart.
Distance had made Hero incredibly stupid. With each week they missed Villain more, and with that they became bolder and bolder. There was no time for games now, this was their chance after way too long to make a move, and on the perfect day, no less. So, Hero gently placed the box on the desk, just as the agency had done to Hero’s desk. But this time, the gift was from a place of genuine admiration, from a person who did truly know Villain.
No signature was needed, Villain would know who this was from. Who else knew exactly the chocolates they liked? Who else came amd went as they pleased, yet never threatened to steal information. Hero had made their move, and Villain would know. Whatever they decided to do with the gift, with the knowledge of Hero’s unspoken heart, at least they’d know.

wait how is she a zionist?? I don't care about shipwar bs but zionism is...
I'm going to answer one anon on this because I do think it is fair to ask and this is not something I would ever say without actual reason. However this is not something I want to continue talking about after this. I can not say what she specifically believes or the nuances of it. But she directly engages with actual vocal zionist as well as repeating zionist rhetoric. I also read her response and I find it deeply disturbing that she is equating Judaism and zionism. I also have Jewish friends and not one of them has ever seen me talk about Palestinian and taken offense and that fact that she has friends that do is concerning. I'm attaching a few screenshots of what I'm talking about but there is a whole lot more of it on her blog.

This is her being friendly with and getting information from a proud and open zionist
Outright saying Israel has a right to exist (it doesn't)

More platforming of zionists

Reblogging a post calling an IDF soldier a hero
More reblogging zionists.
I also find her calling the genocide of the Palestinian people and the occupation of their land "war" disgusting. Again, this has NOTHING to do with show opinions and I really do not want anyone to try and use this for ship war or other things in any way, shape, or form. I brought it up because 1. I find it incredibly disturbing how it has gone unchecked even by her supposedly pro Palestine friends and 2. Because I think she is a legitimately bad person which is part of why I don't feel bad making fun of her.
#ive actually mentioned this before so i do find it interesting that people only care when i make a post about the show but .#anyway i am not saying it as an insult or with no basis and it has absolutely nothing to do with her show takes or ships#asks

Outsiders
Notes: M!yan transmigrator x Gn!reader reincarnator, isekai, jealousy, mentions of violence
Continued from Second Male Lead, with a different yan.
"Looks like someone got rejected huh?", your best friend tucked head to the side, eyes full of mischief, didn't bother pretending to sympathize with your loss for a bit. This was why you dreaded seeing him so much. You knew well he would just make fun of your miserable love life.
"Shut up! He didn't. I just realize that I'm no match to the heroine!", you groaned, shooting an icy glare at your friend, "Honestly how am I supposed to compete with the universe's favorite?! I know she's the main character but still... isn't it too unfair for us extras?"
"Unfair only for you, I actually have a blast there. Crazy how relaxing life is when you not aiming too out of league.”
He laughed and teased you senselessly, but inside the man was breathing sighs of relief. You didn't want to know what would he do to the second male lead had you two become a couple. Nothing much, just some little stabs on the chest and limbs ripping apart maybe...
At first he was so scared seeing himself transported to this world. He knew about the isekai stuff, but applying those knowledge to reality was a different story. He had no clue about the worldbuilding nor the plot, thus struggled desperately to blended in high society. Besides, he couldn't tell anyone about him belonging to different world, he would be called crazy and outcasted from all circles.
So it was a miracle that he met you, another soul stuck in same situation. Because you had read the series and been living there since birth, you were able to provide him with necessary information about the novel. Through you, he learned about the Kingdom, the protagonists, the future events, etc. in addition to all the etiquette and secrets of nobility. At one point, you confessed to him about the second male lead, the love of your (now and previous) life.
Who you pined after was none of his business, yet the man found himself growing unbearably irritated the more he heard about that name. Your best friend always bore a bitter grin on his face whenever you gushed about your crush, sometimes he sneaked in snide remarks, suggesting the second lead was probably just a mediocre guy. “If he was really charming like you made him out to be,” your friend argued, “he should’ve been the hero instead of getting shoved outside midway to be honest.” You huffed, who he thought he is to downplay the man of your dream like that? And why did your friend like belittling your feelings so much?
No. He didn’t look down on you at all, he just hated the fact that you were paying attention anyone but not him. He couldn’t accept the sight of you longing for another man when he was right there. The one who was aware of your deepest secret, the one who witnessed all your goodness and uglies, the one who could share your struggles of adapting to new world. He knew you the best, obviously he was the right choice for you.
And perhaps the man should admit deep down, he was also terrified of the future without you. You had come and guided him through the puzzling maze of noble life, be there for him when he was on verge of giving up everything. He had been acquainted with your lovely presence, no way he would let anyone steal it away from him. Little dirt on hands wasn’t a bad price to pay if that means you would be chained forever to him.
You might be a worthless extra in their story, but always the main character in his story.
