ISAGI "they're not that bad" YOICHI really doesn't understand how other people hate you so much. bitchy? rude? you're nothing like that.

if anything, isagi sees you as a sweet and shy individual, just like him. you're like two peas in a pod. maybe once or twice he's heard what kind of venom could spew from your mouth, but hey! maybe the person deserved it! you never know what people are like these days, right? so whenever people say you should have matching outfits for halloween – him as an angel and you as a devil – it takes him a second to have his eureka moment and clock the backhanded meaning. you a devil? yeah, in his nightmares. yes, he does defend you. yes, his expression turns sheepish hearing about other people's experiences with you, but seriously, he's never seen anything out of the ordinary from you.

isagi is truly blinded by love. but there will be that one day where he eventually understands that perhaps you are as bad as people say. for now, you've basically got him wrapped around you pinky. who knows? maybe he prefers it that way.

SHIDOU BACKSTORY THEORY

I personally think that Shidou was born to parents who were neglectful. The type who never really cared what their kids were doing or watching as long as their kids didn’t bother them. There is strong evidence to support that either Shidou’s parents or Shidou himself were involved in some sort of sex work due to how normalized Shidou believes saying incredibly socially (sexually) unacceptable things are. Also, I would like to note that I doubt that Shidou says those weird things to make things uncomfortable. He’s like a hyper-energetic puppy who was never trained.

Many of his favorite things (as revealed in the Egoist Bible) have dark themes, including his favorite artist, Hide, having committed ———————. His favorite song is Pink Spider, which is about tearing someone else’s wings off because they’re so bored with their own world (Shidou is also often drawn with wings). His favorite manga, Chainsaw Man, includes a protagonist who lived through a horrible childhood and is constantly (initially) manipulated by Makima.

I’m sure you get the idea by now, but I want to point out a few more things. Shidou is often associated with the color pink, and pink is considered as a staple color for Japanese brothels. There is a thing called a Pink Salon in Japan, which is a type of brothel. Not only that, but when asked what he would bring with him on an abandoned island, he said that he would bring pink paint to draw while also mixing in a bit of blood.

Lastly, Shidou’s favorite football player, Zlanta Ibrahimovic, had a tragic early life and had gone through lots of abuse.

Shidou’s family composition is NEVER revealed to us in the Egoist Bible even though it is usually a staple question in the Egoist Bible profiles. Not only that, but Shidou had never played for a team before Blue Lock. Personally, I think that Ego might have sought out Shidou himself due to his constant reminders that many world-class players had horrible backgrounds, including Kaiser and Noa. So Ego purposely going to a Pink Salon brothel just to scout for Blue Lock isn’t entirely out of character for him.

being a great spiker also comes with its downsides, often putting too much strength into ordinary tasks without realising it. it used to be something he could brag about when he could say he's accidentally snapped multiple pencils because he's "just that strong", but now that he's dating you, things are a lot different.

once you both got comfortable with pda, he would hold your hand with two fingers. just two. actually, it's you holding his fingers. even then, he's accidentally yanked your arm too hard once or twice, and he's never begged for forgiveness so hard in his life.

whenever he borrows your stuff, he only uses the tips of his fingers. no, it will not snap that easily: is what you say to assure him, but he can't help it. the ink of your pen will barely show up on the paper but he just can't press any harder!

but that also means that his hugs are extremely comfortable. not too tight, not too light, as if he's genuinely been practicing what the perfect hold will be. most of the time, one hand is around your waist and the other cradling your head, maybe playing with your hair if you're lucky. okay, it does get a little tight when he misses you a bit too much, but his hold is still gentle. hugs are one of his lucky charms by the way. you always get a hug before he starts a game.

ITOSHI RIN is honestly sick of all of the stupid lovey dovey tiktoks you send him. first of all, he barely uses tiktok (his profile is just his name and nothing is customised), second of all, he only uses it to like your posts (you're the only one he follows) and third of all, he just doesn't have the time! but he hates seeing you look so dejected whenever he tells you that he hasn't seen your messages filled with links yet, so he has no other choice but to bear with it.

and one in particular has been on his mind lately. he hasn't been able to see you in days, and the separation is starting to get to him. no hugs, no kisses, no you, no nothing! he thought being victim to your favourite trends was beyond him, but with all of the couples baking cookies shaped like each other, it was sparking something inside of him without consent.

on a random tuesday night, you got a text from rin. that's rare, because he barely ever texts you first. and what was it? a video of him baking cookies shaped like you. he was silent, straight faced, only showing off the ingredients and dough every now and then before you finally got to see the final result. you could tell he tried his best, even putting in the tiniest of details, and creating separate smaller cookies to stick on top.

no, he didn't really want to record himself, but he knew what you were like. he knew you wanted to post the video on tiktok, wanting to show off this new form of affection he's evolved into. he doesn't get it, but he knows it makes you happy.
