Sorry for all the notif spam I've been going through your blog but. Bobo talk and someone actually pointing out how weird his character is in the show, especially given his backstory. And I am so sorry for this length I'll delete it if you want. But Bobo in the show makes me SO mad bc he's comedy relief in execution and insane potential in theory.

Not only is he one of two EVOs at Providence but when people talk to Rex even when they know he's an EVO, they still see him as human. Bobo will always have the appearance of something nonhuman, he will always be seen on the street as lesser than. He's either a non-sapient animal or a mutant, to a stranger.

But his setup is INSANE, especially in relation to Rex. If his backstory IS true, and he does remember his past life, then he has a lot of experience seeing sick and injured kids in hospitals, and cheering them up. And now he is sapient, unable to do that anymore full-time (which, also assuming that the implications that his "Bobo time" is him sneaking off to help out at children's hospitals still, bc that's what the little puppet show implied, suggests that that's a job he enjoys doing and probably enjoyed in the past), and he's free to just...do whatever. Treated like a monster by humans, not allowed near the kids he was trained, likely raised to work with, he causes mayhem bc haha funny thing for him to do. And then he's captured by Providence, escapes, and then is caught again, and then ends up meeting another child. A child who is an EVO like him, who is nearly killed, and who is now put in a situation where he is constantly having medical tests done on him and examinations for his health.

It's so. The setup is so there. Of Bobo feeling familiarity and compassion for a child locked away in sterile white rooms to be monitored by doctors. Only this kid isn't a patient to be treated with kindness. Bobo remembers what they tried to do to him even if Rex doesn't. Bobo might not be able to go back to hospitals, but he can do his best to help this kid, who desperatly needs it (and also could be a good reason why he's sometimes there when Holiday is examining Rex, even when he has no logical reason to be besides hanging out with the kid - if he empathized with Rex and understood how scary it could be for kids to be stuck and have to sit through dozens of tests, even if Holiday is doing her best to make him comfortable). And it would do so well to give his open breaking of the rules and encouraging and assisting Rex in escaping justice - he's not just hanging out with the kid, being a general bad influence in Providence's eyes, he's using his position to help Rex understand how to break the rules. They need Rex's enthusiastic consent to cure people, and caging, killing, or even just seperaring him from his first friend could make him refuse to help - just like they rarely punish Rex beyond yelling and once getting grounded, instead trying to keep him in Providence by providing him shiny new toys (which is also why I think they gave Rex a new room after Ep 1 - for fear that VK would entice him over or make him start doubting Providence, give him something distracting).

But, back to Bobo - it also can explain the initial hostility he has to Six in the series that he doesn't really have to Holiday, beyond initial dislike of Six bc of Six being implied to be the one to initially catch him. We the viewers see everything, but the only thing Bobo has seen is Six initially bringing Rex in and being cagey/protective of him, and him fighting for Rex by saying that he's a cure (and we have no idea how much of that he saw, since we only actually SEE him there are the end). He knows Six doesn't want Rex dead, but he thinks it's because Six sees him as a cure and nothing else - which doesn't Six doesn't help by being as stiff and hard to read as well. Six.

(Also, going off of your disability Genrex thoughts, Bobo having a disability too, bc there's something to be read into someone no longer being able to do the old job they love and instead doing as close to it as they can out of a genuine wish to help someone else. Especially another disabled kid.)

bobo is a very interesting character to me because he does not feel like he fits in the setting of generator rex. he and rex are the only evos who work for providence and while rex has the excuse of being super special and different, bobo seemingly just has a job bc it's more convenient for providence to have him on their side and rex likes him

there are times where rex acts kind of like he feels alone in the world, like when he tells circe he's never met anyone like her before (evo like him) and there are moments when ppl talk shit about rex for being an evo and everyone kind of just ignores bobo? and if they don't ignore bobo they ignore the fact that he's an evo?

iirc also bobo is the only character who used to be a regular animal and became more humanlike from going evo, if we believe that the backstory presented in "robo bobo" is true. and when rex cures everyone in the last episode all of the incurables are cured too EXCEPT FOR BOBO

he shares a room with rex even after white expands rex's living space. why do they share a room? do they share a room because they want to share a room? why? they both complain about the other being so stinky. why do they share a room

One thing I cannot talk about enough wrt Oda's storytelling is how he loves to introduce a quirk or a character as a joke or as some small little device and then says "haha! Turns out that there is a whole backstory here!!!!"

Like Genzo and his little pinwheel. At first it's introduced as haha look at this new character with a little goofy quirk in his design like Oda loves to make!!!! And look, Luffy used inspiration from the pinwheel for one of his attacks against Arlong!!! Isn't that a fun way to integrate this quirky little character design into the story!!!!

And then Oda drags you into a backstory and hits you with this:

And it happens again with that funny little frog who tries to sumo wrestle the train (because it took two of the most important people in his life away from him and he wants to be strong enough that it never happens again) and it happens again with a sidekick antagonist who can't stop getting engaged and lending people money (because she can't allow herself to be useless and abandoned ever again) and I'm sure there are other examples I can't think of bc I'm tired but!!!!!! It itches that little storytelling part of my brain every time and I think it's so masterful and I think it's so cool and someday I want to write something like that and yeah. Good night.

Obikin is fun for me because it is simultaneously impossible (both like, in a watsonian and doylist way) and close to being something. My ethos with writing them is very much like…neither of them are allowed to change a canon decision they make. A circumstance can prevent that decision from happening (like in my longfic it’s Obi-Wan falling off the speeder in AOTC instead of Padmé) but they themselves can’t decide not to do something they actually did. And bc they just deeply misunderstand each other in the first place the gap for what can change is very narrow and slim lol. I definitely don’t have a “in every lifetime” mentality about them when it comes to my own projects, it’s very much a “there are like a handful where I think it could happen and I’m interested in exploring those”

And neuterworld is one of them!! Probably my conceptually crackiest one but I’m very much serious about it lol.

They try to stand up from their bed, squirming, almost crying, trying to do at least something to feel better and even tho bots try to keep them in place, it doesn't work until y/n just leans on one of them, and surprisingly it helps, they don't try to escape anymore but now dca needs to, apparently stay like this for hours.

What if previous hospital was incredibly terrible sometimes? Like the staff being absolutely indifferent, sometimes scratching skin while taking blood or leaving bruises and so y/n is wary about every move that Sun & Moon do? It worries them a little, making them more aware of their movements as well but after a while y/n sees that they're careful and starts to trust them with it without hesitation?

Y/N can't sleep thinking about their death and shares their thoughts with one of the boys and as much as boys want to say "no, it's not true, you will be okay, everything will be okay" they just... Don't want to lie.(hahaha oh uh oops)

Y/N having a small depressing period about their previous life, before of all of these endless procedures, needles, meds and instructions from nurses. They say that they're so fed up of being locked in here, not realising that boys were locked up from their first day?

What if boys don't know what exactly happened with y/n? Like they know about their injuries but they don't know what caused it and y/n doesn't want to talk about it bc the experience was traumatic?

Y/N needs immediate help from any of the doctors but the second they are brought to the operating room doctors command boys to leave? So they just anxiously make circles near the operating room waiting, afraid that they won't make it

Teasing dialogues, dark humour about death that in the end turns into uhh something even more darker?-

OH BOY WAIT, I NEED TO SIT DOWN AND THINK TO ANSWER ALL THAT- OK

I'm gonna aswer under the cut 'cause I don't want to fill all your feed with my ramblings.

Anyway don’t worry! I like when people ask things about my ideas and it helps me focus on some points that I neglected! Thank you for asking!

first of all the general things!

I don't remember if I wrote this in another post but y/n decided to change hospital precisely because the staff of his previous hospital were inappropriate, cold and insensitive.

Not only were they not delicate in any of their activities but the hospital was even overcrowded and y/n had to stay in a room with other 3 people, and 2 of them happened to die in front of y/n for complications linked to hospital viruses. Imagine how traumatizing it must have been for them to just wake up and find out that your roommate, who you may have spoken to a few hours earlier, was dying in front of your eyes and you couldn't do anything but shout for help. Now imagine it happening two times in less than a week. That and the constant paranoia to be the next even if they weren't really ill pushed y/n to change hospital. And to lower the odds that such a thing could happen again they choose the most luxurious private hospital they could get.

They didn't know at the time that they had contracted a similar virus as the ones who died in front of them and they had a panic attack when the new doctors  told them. 

Hospital viruses are not lethal if treated properly and if the patient is healthy and didn't have previous health complications when they contracted it. But y/n had a pretty significant and recent trauma so that's why the doctors at Faz Co told them to change "plan" and switch to the "premium silver pack" which had an emotional caretaker included.

Now now, about your first question, y/n has no reason not to trust Sun and Moon. They were assured that the animatronics couldn't proceed with any medical treatment so no fear about their touch. They are just a little skeptical because they have never seen such sentient robots and because they are essentially strangers.

Sun and Moon's first impression of y/n was similar. They are a new patient, nothing less and nothing more. It's not like y/n is a super model or special for them at the beginning. They were just another patient who needed their care and a new person they had the possibility to know before they inevitably had to leave them.

The fact that made y/n special is the time they spent together and the memories they created in the meanwhile.

And nope! Y/n isn't their first patient! They had many people they took care of before them.

Some of their previous patients are still alive and well, never to be seen again after they went away from the hospital and they understand why they won't return willingly. Some others unfortunately passed away during their stay and, even if it's never easy, they have learned to accept that as well. They are caretakers in a hospital, they had to.

About other patients, I was thinking of adding some crazy and lunatic rich old woman or man to the story. Something like your typical grandpa/grandma who always talks about their golden age or something similar. It would be funny.

About the use of the animatronics for shady things, they weren't used to take care or clean up the scene in the canon and violent fnaf style. 

Before William's death, the previous animatronics didn't have a medical database and access to the patients files so they had to trust what the doctors (and William) said to them. They were used by William to administer poison or other things to the patients without leaving a trace. And if someone noticed it he could just decommission the animatronic in charge at the time and call it a malfunction. No one would ever think it was the genius doctor's fault. But after William's death and the public scandal, Micheal decided to download medical knowledge in their animatronics but to revoke their permission to administer anything to avoid problems and to calm public opinion.

If an animatronic were caught bypassing the rule in some way, they are decommissioned.

Sun and Moon remember every patient they had. Memories, good or bad, are still what makes them the animatronic they are now and to just erase the memories of the people they met (either if they are still alive or if they are deceased) doesn't feel right to them.

NOW SWEET THINGS!

A lot of what you wrote is actually really on point and already in my list of cute things they can do. I won't spoil anything but I'm writing a little shenanigans with food as the main subject (the comic with the whopper is a scene I'm planning to write lol). The "feeding the cat under the table" metaphor is actually a Sun thing! Moon is similar but in a more "do it yourself" way.

The clichè one is just you reading my mind. And the funny thing is that you are not even the first hahaha. But, hehe, even if it's really similar to the clichè one, the actual episode will be a little bit more dramatic.

I already wrote something about the old hospital and y/n traumas at the beginning but, yeah. Y/n would be sensitive to others' touch at the beginning but they gradually understand that this is a private hospital they are paying big money to stay in, the staff MUST be careful with their patients. And they seem like good people.

That doesn't mean they won't have nightmares about dying like their roommates in the other hospital. And at the beginning Sun and Moon are sure it won't happen. Y/n is young and healthy and they are just recovering from a normal hospital virus and some broken bones so they are not lying when they tell y/n they'll be alright.

When y/n has nightmares about their assault that's another thing. At the beginning they just waited for y/n to be confortable enough with them to explain and then they treated the argument like a normal person would. "Nobody will hurt you here", "you are safe" and they recommend y/n to take some self defense courses when they leave the hospital.

As more time passes their emotions about y/n nightmares are going to change, especially when they contract the unknown disease.

Black humor is a big no no to Sun and not really appreciated by Moon. As medical bots they had to do with the subjects of the jokes a lot and they don't find them really funny.

The boys can go anywhere inside the hospital perimeter, they just won't go in some places because they have no need.

1000 origami cranes hhhhhhhh, it would be just a SHAME if y/n managed to make just 999, uh?

lmao no, they are going to finish them all don't worry. It's actually a cute activity though.

I can imagine Sun bringing a ton of sheets after an especially depressing day/night for y/n and just helping them fold the cranes. They are both really stubborn and they would try to finish all 1000 in a day ending up exhausted. At least that night y/n would be too tired to have nightmares.

omg absolutely!! sorry, i've totally abandoned tumblr because of school commitments and stuff so i hope this ask isn't too old lmao. but anyway, here are some of my hcs for them!! they're one of my favorite pairs ever and i'm honestly very surprised that more people don't ship them.

i've always said that i think they're childhood friends. i think i posted something about it a long time ago and then proceeded to not elaborate on it, but i always thought that fulton's home life wasn't great and so he was kind of allowed (or forced) to wander minneapolis/stillwater just to get out of the house. i did the math at one point and realized that the diner that casey works at is kind of in-between the heart of minneapolis and stillwater, so it wouldn't be insane to think that fulton might have ended up at the diner a lot as a kid. i think he and casey became 'friends' first (casey practically adopted him) and then when casey brought charlie to the diner because she didn't have anyone to watch him, they became fast friends

their friendship started off so well because fulton was extremely shy and charlie could talk to a brick wall and make good conversation, so charlie didn't really expect anything from fulton and fulton has no problem sitting and listening and retaining information from stories and stuff. that's kind of how their relationship works too lmao. charlie's always talking about random things and his wikipedia deep dives and hockey stats and fulton will definitely talk back if he has something to say, but sometimes charlie just needs a sounding board and fulton is more than happy to be that for him (and charlie is very impressed with all the random stuff fulton remembers just because charlie's the one that told him)

fulton's had a crush on charlie since they were in peewees. i don't think they were still super close when fulton joined the ducks, but they definitely still spoke to each other in class and stuff, and fulton joining sparked their friendship (and fulton's feelings for charlie) again. it's a super cute puppy-love kind of crush, and fulton has absolutely no clue how to deal with it lol. it's also definitely why fulton was watching the D5 games before he ever joined the team, and why he was so ready to fight the hawks the second he had the opportunity.

they definitely have one of those relationships where most people can't even tell if they're best friends or dating. they don't really do PDA (other than charlie laying on him like a cat, which he also does with a lot of people), and 'dude' is their main term of endearment in public lol.

casey LOVES fulton so much it's insane. charlie jokes that when they come home for breaks, she's more excited to see fulton than she is to see him and hes right

charlie is exactly 3 inches taller than fulton and it pisses fulton off to NO END. charlie knows this and definitely teases him about it.

i think once charlie bulks up a bit (probably like junior/senior year) they get to a point where they can wear each other's clothes and then just. never stop. at this point they don't even know who's clothes originally belonged to who anymore.

their first kiss happens after a game where charlie got injured and fulton felt so bad that he couldn't do anything about it that he's fussing over charlie in the locker room afterwards and bumbling his way through apologizes and charlie just. kisses him to shut him up as a funny haha joke but then realizes how fulton reacted to it and is like "oh shit this is actually A Thing"

they don't do PDA but they're all over each other the second they're alone. both of them have definitely made the other one irish goodbye at multiple events just so they can go home and make out and cuddle

okay, so… in case you missed it, which i'm assuming some of you probably did: colby and sam went out last night, colby admitted today that he got blacked out. while in that state (most likely), he posted a pic of him and girl on his stories. there's nothing major about the picture. it was literally just him and a girl taking a selfie together. a girl he hasn't been seen with before.

then this afternoon, he removed the pic from his story.

and you might be wondering "why is any of this newsworthy?" your guess is as good as mine, lovely readers. bc to me, who the fuck cares lol

according to my anons tho, this is important. so, let me give my two cents on it.

i think my main issue, or complaint, with how this fandom treats colby's love life is that you all take it a lot more seriously than even he does. some of you treat it like it's life or death or a serious issue that needs to be discussed when in reality, we just don't know enough to really comment on it. if you wanna have fun, say something funny, whatever - that's fine. but a lot of you go from joking about it to full blown calling him or the girl he's possibly with names. and that's just weird.

i've seen plenty of fans slut shame colby. but i find it quite odd when we don't know enough to even really say whether or not he is a slut. first and foremost, there's nothing wrong with sleeping around or being a slut. there's only an issue if you lie to the ppl you're sleeping with (like saying you're committed to them when you're not) and or not using protection. those are really the only issues. and the thing is, colby hasn't been in a serious, committed relationship since 2016 (in his own words). so i find it strange that any fan of his would be pissed that he's not staying committed to one girl. like, that man isn't trying to be in a relationship. he's allowed to fuck around.

and the MAJOR, top TIER actual problem this fandom has is assuming every girl colby is around is his new girlfriend/fling. a lot of fans have this problem with thinking that any girl in colby's orbit is a) someone he plans to fuck, b) someone he is currently fucking, or c) someone he has already fucked. a lot of you guys act like colby can't be friends with a pretty, single girl. and yes, that includes the ones that show their ass on insta or have an onlyfans. and look, you wanna joke about stuff like that, be my guest. but a lot of you haven't been joking. a lot of you shame the shit out of colby for things he didn't do or that you have no proof he is doing. it's really gross to assume he can't have platonic relationships with women.

the amount of times i have read things like "colby is such a slut, sleeping around and having all of these playthings. it's so gross. he needs to keep it in his pants, he's such a manwhore" when YOU DON'T KNOW WHO HE IS OR ISN'T SLEEPING WITH. idk what projection you feel the need to put on him, but he isn't your exes. you don't gotta assume he's fucking everything that moves.

and even if he was…. what's wrong with that? and i don't want to hear "oh but he's the one that wants a connection but then doesn't settle down". he's allowed to be unsure of what he wants. he's allowed to go looking and switch up his mind from time to time. reality is if he was doing something wrong, ie fucking over these girls over and over again, half of LA wouldn't fuck with him. most of his assumed exes still fucking follow him, so clearly he isn't burning bridges or pouring gas and waiting for them to light the match. not to mention, he's not trying to settle down. he's allowed to go out and have fun and get his dick wet if he wants to lol

i think it's good to remember that not every girl that's around him is someone he's planning to, is currently, or has fucked before in the past. some girls are just his friends. some might turn into more, some might not at all. it's wrong to believe that he can't have just girl friends. it's wrong to assume that all he sees when he looks at a woman is a pair of tits and ass, or that she's some conquest he needs to win. another notch in his belt. not only does it boil the woman down to nothing but a sex doll, but you turn colby into a sex monster, looking for his next nut. it's very weird.

also, i know a lot of you don't like 99% of the women he chills with, for whatever reason. and i need you all to learn and accept that colby is not your sim. you don't get to control his actions. you don't get to say he should be with X girl for y and z reasons. he's allowed to be with clout chasey girls. he's allowed to be with annoying girls. he's allowed to even be with girls that post him too much. it doesn't matter. it's his life, he lurks and knows what happening way more than we do, and it's best we just let him do his thing and ignore the girls that annoy us. don't let curiosity win. just block the girls and move on if they really annoy you that deeply.

and if you're done with colby and his love life, move on then. there's no reason to be hung up on something that should just be mildly amusing to you at best.

stuff like this shouldn't be major drama or important things we direly need to talk about it. this should be silly and fun and lighthearted. it used to be, too. but too many of you have read too many y/n fanfics and think you have a choice in the matter when you really don't. and i mean that as respectfully as i can say it. you don't own colby. colby doesn't owe you an explanation as to why he does what he does. accept it as reality and move on. if he, or his choices, upset you that much - leave. log out for a while. all of this silly, nonsensical shit will still be here when and if you return. and for some of you, i strongly suggest leaving, since this clearly upsets you too much.

It makes me crazy when people say that Sadie's arc does not link back to the theme of no glory revenge. she did not get her revenge then have a happy ending, she ended the game alone and unable to connect with anyone even her friends and saying she wanted to die, and we don't know what happened to her after that. At least Arthur was remembered.

my post was very much a joke but yes i agree. a lot of ppl seem to think sadie betrays the themes the game sets forth about revenge and i sincerely disagree. my joke was more i think she should be allowed to get revenge without being criticized lol (one: bc her reasoning is more than fair, but two: shes a girl hehe) anyway, you're right she ends her arc in rdr2 in a significantly worse place than she starts and i also argue she's almost perfectly set up for a redemption arc and wouldn't be shocked at all if a new red dead project focused on her. and would welcome it!

I voted for Otto because while I do think Julius is the better boyfriend, Otto is the better friend no? At the very least my reasoning was that Otto has spent a year in proximity with Subaru collecting all sorts of small moments in addition to their bigger moments in arc 4, really forming the case for Otto to get the best friend title. Tho arc six really did make it hard to choose.
