Some of my Thoughts About Batman: The Animated Series as Someone Who Knows Very Little About Batman Lore (PART 1)

(This is just the first three episodes because it's late and I'm tired and I'd like to go to bed now lol)

in light of bat appreciation day (yesterday), I wanted to gab a little bit about the development my fursona Chia!

as OC owners may know, characters evolve with you. tho i don't have a new reference to reflect her latest changes, allow me a small 🧵

a lot rides on the shoulders of any type of sona; they can be a reflection, an aspiration, an outlet … but ultimately, they will serve as your image's representative online.

there are so many possibilities to consider … including what animal! don't laugh at my old art, but she started as a fox

🦇 along with discovering my identity + style as an artist, Chia's design progressively streamlined. tho at first i wanted to embrace the unflattering batty features, i eventually graduated into a simpler, kemono look

but i still couldn't decide: was she just me, or her own individual character? you may note that at this point, she consistently wears a black one-piece outfit. the uncertainty over her character's greater purpose was the exact reason why; it was meant to be a placeholder.

🦇 having Chia be an exaggerated caricature of myself felt uncomfortable; it didn't feel like me - like how a "sona" should feel

so i played around w/ a little lore. what if she were a barista who owned an "Apotho-cafe" and brewed potions in the form of coffee, and then adventured for ingredients?

🦇 but this felt inauthentic. i couldn't settle on a personality and found that the backstory just muddled things; i didn't get to chew on her as a character

so for some fresh perspective, i stepped back from Chia for a bit … but let her hang around on my banners / icon / twitch. after all, her look is iconic! over the years, she'd already become synonymous with my online identity.

🦇 i couldn't describe it, but that's where i felt she belonged most. against the hot pink background void, with the thick black lineart, her character essence just shined.

maybe that's all she needed to be? a mascot to hide behind. sometimes cute, sexy, and punk … whatever i felt would sell best

🦇 and then i thought - 'thats the whole points of traditional JP mascots, right?' they represent a brand, look cute, and have a unique personality

this was my thought process behind Chia's PNGtuber redesign: like a Sanrio mascot anyone could enjoy, but not TOO cute. she needed a slightly imperfect, unsettling aura that implied mischeviousness (you don't know why but ... you feel like she might bite you)

🦇 nowadays, i feel comfortable defining Chia as my mascot

she doesn't need to be deep. i don't need to fuss over keeping her consistent. don't need to feel pressured to shove my identity INTO her. rather, she IS my identity - as a brand

she takes the pressure off sharing myself to the world 😌

🦇 its funny that in the end, i felt most comfortable with Chia NOT being me haha… but me playing as her?

ofc, we share similarities - after all, she was meant to be my sona at one point. we grew up together, but i know myself better now as frontal-lobe-developed adult, and i have become a very different person than the one she was based off

🦇 this is why, when i stream, i often say that it takes a lot of energy because i am 'masking'.

rather than have people know 'me', i'm okay playing the brand of "EightyUh's mascot Chia"

this was all development shit for the zakharovs who i posted last week. sergei is igor's former childhood friend who i have not come up with much about yet... all i know is he is also a fashion designer (who makes winter clothes specifically) and he has an illegitimate son named nikolai who is an arctic fox (and who i have not drawn yet)

omg okay so if anyone remembers my last sketchbook dump i introduced this character andre in there (and her name was andres but i changed it to andre bc i like it more for whatever reason). anyway ive been drawing him OBSESSIVELYYYYY and have decided that him and null get together at some point after argyle and jamie make up (i desperately need to make a jamie and co timeline post)... but it lasts like one semester and thats it. andre is too vain and too know-it-all for null's tastes even though shes like super hot and nice otherwise. anyway this is just a bunch of drawings of him. i really like how the one of him in my INSANE hat turned out

santiago and null's joint slay... both of them LOVE to gossip with each other and its instrumental to how jamie and argyle make up (will go into detail when i finally figure out all the actual events of that). also andre and null on a hike bc andre is a biology major. i actually drew that while i was on a hike in red rock canyon heres proof

5. mostly just scribbling trying to get better at drawing santiago including more of him and null and his prime Jamie Comforting Tactic of just letting him chill between his wool and sweater. also two drawings of jamie just 4 fun i draw him and his stupid big eyes whenever im out of ideas

6. idk this is just silly stuff. i draw johnny manhandling jamie a lot and i promise you jamie LOVES being treated like a stuffed animal he thinks its SO FUN to be spun around and wiggled and shit. ferret adjacent. him and johnny have been friends since they were in like elementary school because of this. btw santiago does not usually look like that (only having wool on his head) he just has to shear his wool in the summer because having full wool in the flurrida heat is AWFUL

7. comic i drew at the laundromat LOL. takes place either shortly before OR shortly after andre and null get together. johnny mostly hates andre for being with null (shes jealous) (she wants null all to herself even though shes super noncommittal) (johnny get your shit together) BUT ALSO andre being kinda pretentious makes her want to chokeslam him. andre is talking about bird farming specifically because johnny's family are chicken farmers... ive had a lore post about everyone's families in my drafts for months but i cant finish it til my stylus is fixed TT

Well im Nightdust!! my main fursona is this guy above me, he is called Nightdust Fallen, he is a breed of a husky and a wolf, making him extremely fluffy and puffy! The reason for his name is by the fact that (in my head canon or lore) he came from a bunch of fallen space star dust, hence why he likes space so much and staring at the stars, he also has some sort of ice magic i havent fully fleshed out yet, one thing i can say tho is that when he sneezes, he does it softly and he puffs out small ice snowflakes and can freeze things he touches he is also supposed to wear glasses like me but i suck at drawing those and forgot to include them here anyway so

He is very shy, doesnt talk much but is very protective of his very close friends and would do anything to protect them and make sure they're safe, he is a femboy (of course), enjoys listening to calm relaxing music and high octane electronic music at times, is a gamer, likes cuddling up in bed and i think that's it

It also doubles up as a self description of myself so yeah lol Still tho feel free to send me an ask if you have any questions or anything, with that said onwards to more personal stuff

I enjoy drawing obviously, but i also enjoy cooking stuff and origami, i play a lot of roblox usually to pass time but a game i really got into is "Voices of the Void" i really recommend but it's not for everyone, i like the game's concept and how detailed the space is there. For some reason, a lot of the time i am cold, my hands, feet, nose and limbs overall are very cold which is why i thought about giving my oc some ice magic thing. I am taken, in a relationship with my cutie bunny bf, and my sexuality is bisexual. As said before i do not talk much since im not the social type and usually freeze up or dont know what to say, hence why sometimes i take a long time to respond to something or my response is "dry" or not full of much emotion since i dont really know what to say or feel like im annoying if i talk too much. If you read thru all of that and get here then reply with the word bean so i know you're a true one hehe. I also often wait for others to start the conversation rather than me starting since i again, feel like i would bother the other person or like i could distract them if they are doing something

Anyways i believe that is pretty much it, thank for reading all of this if you did, and i probably didnt mention lots of details i should have but they arent coming to my mind right now

"Hey, Hamin."

Yoojin is sitting slumped in a beaten up garden chair, fiddling with his lighter. He can't smoke in here but there isn't anywhere to sit outside and he really can't stand that long today. Go figure.

"Hm?" Do Hamin is sitting on an equally beaten up chair, guzzling a mana potion. He's had to actually do his job today for once and is very unhappy about it.

Not that Yoojin is any happier, he can already tell it's going to rain later by the pain crawling up and down his leg, and he'll need to be on public transport for at least another hour to get to his flat. Hamin will have to cope with being his distraction from misery.

"How do you even become a furry?"

Hamin chokes on his potion, clearly expecting anything but that. "What?!"

"Oh come on, don't pretend like you don't know what I'm talking about. I've slept at your place before." It was a deeply disturbing experience to get up at three in the morning for a piss only to stumble across a giant hamster head. Yoojin almost died of a heart attack before he figured out what that thing was.

Hamin is red in the face, partially from embarrassment and partially from breathing in potion.

"How do you get into anything? You see it around and think it sounds kind of fun, I guess."

Yoojin shifts in his seat, trying to find a position that isn't immensely painful. "Yeah but like specifically. You don't go from 'nice art' or whatever to the whole, uh-" He waves his hand in the air.

"Fursuit?"

"Yeah, that. I mean, there have to be steps in between, right? Those things look fucking expensive."

Hamin sighs, apparently resigned to being Yoojin's Furry Insider. "They are. Bought or self made."

"Wait, you made that yourself?"

"Mhm, took fucking ages. But worth it for Hammie."

"Hammie?"

"My fursona."

Yoojin clicks his lighter open and shut again. "That's a nice name."

Hamin scoffs. "You don't have to pretend to be nice, I can hear you're judging me."

"No, no!" He is. "I think it's nice you're having fun and stuff."

"You just wouldn't get it."

"That's why I'm asking, I don't know what there is to get."

"I don't know what to tell you, it's just fun. The art, the lore, the community. No idea what else you want from me." He shrugs.

They sit in silence for a bit, Yoojin chewing on his lip. Surely, if he only pulls off all the dead skin, what stays behind will be soft and nice.

"So, about the porn."

"I hate you sometimes, you know that?"

"Get in line. But about the porn."

"What about the porn?"

"Just. Are you into it?"

"You're horrible. Why do I even talk to you. No, not personally. A lot of the art is really good though, can't scoff at that."

"I don't know, I don't love the cartoon style."

Hamin rolls his eyes. "You're not even a furry, how would you know what there is to appreciate?"

"Are you gonna show me?"

"And have you laugh at me? As if." Hamin whisks his empty potion bottle away, back inside the inventory, and gets up to dig a bottle of beer out of the mini-fridge he has in his office. The true height of classiness. "Want some?"

"Yeah." Yoojin pulls out his keys to open the bottles with the edge. "I wouldn't laugh at you, I'd just appreciate the artistry."

"Right, and pigs can fly."

"I'm sure there's some flying pig furries. Not that I'd know, because you refuse to share."

Hamin lets out a deep, beleaguered sigh. "If you want you can come to a furcon with me next month. But only if you promise to be nice."

"Really? I'm always nice! How much are the tickets?"

"Like seventyfive thousand won."

"Oh god. Sorry, I don't think I can become a furry anymore."

"That's what I thought, asshole."

i based the whole concept of my oc world a lot on this specific roblox warrior cats game i used to play as a kid, back in like 2011-2014 (gonna read more this cause it ended up getting long and no one probably gaf's)

it was a small game and there was a group of regulars including me, who mostly all knew each other. there were people that were on a lot and them some people that came on less often but were still known.... we were all young teenagers for the most part so we were really silly about it and there was liek a lore built around the game. hardly anyone was even rping warrior cats anymore it was something else entirely people would just hang out or do whatever weird stories they wanted.

the original idea for cat world came from the fact that everyone in the game (you could create a cat like in the modern warrior cats but the cats were much more basic looking and you could go crazy with the colors) had their own signature cat design they always used, so everyone saw each other as their cat oc. and for the ones of us who used deviantart as well we'd draw each other as those cat ocs, basically fursonas before most of them even knew what that was. so cat world was supposed to be like "what if the people on this sparklecat community ACTUALLY WERE THEIR SPARKLECAT CHARACTERS IRL!!!" which is why each one is based on some sort of internet user archetype or online community, in some way or another. cause like in the game there was the person who was really into anime, the one who really liked youtube poops, the one who was always trolling and playing pranks on people, the edgy mysterious one etc.

so i was likeee i would base the community itself on roblox and have them all have a rare ability go to visit some digital world to hang out and play together but the whole "omg were entering a VIDEO GAME/INTERNET" is a cliche trope and i also wanna flesh out cat world itself more... i think right now the most of the characters are magical girls(cats) and are going to like a secret school where they learn magic or just a place where only magical cats know about and normal cats dont and they just live and hang out there. like the cat kingdom in the cat returns if anyone's seen that. idk.... I need to post more of my lore at least for my own reference

someone left this comment on one of my fics like 100+ days ago and it haunts me and I don't even know why I think it's because it's So Specific and also the Most Vauge?? Like when you say AU, do you mean an AU of my universe with this exact dynamic (adopted civillian reader x batboys) or??? Anyway, to get it out of my system, this is how I would attempt each of these. Spoilers for DC vs Vampires.

I haven't read Beastworld but I do know it's a Fursona™ storyline where everyone gets beast boy powers and I have no experience reading furry or A/B/O stuff sorrryyy And Vampire AU! Like a completely seperate fantasy situation or literally DC Vs Vampires? Because (spoilers) most of the bat family is murdered like Quite Gruesomely right when the story kicks off. Jason literally takes his own life when he's about to be turned. Tim literally gets his head crushed! I would still keep the reveal of Dick was the Vampire King All Along and keep him killing Bruce, Tim and Jason and then turning Damian. BB would be holed up somewhere safe and Dick would come for her, pretending that he was the only survivor of an attack. I think he would move her somewhere the batgirls won't find and pretend he's going out to kill vampires during the night. Obviously she loses her mind being locked up all the time, ventures out to try and help him and gets kidnapped to be sold to a blood farm. Dick wouldn't stage a rescue because he knows she would make him free all of the other humans and take her to his headquarters. He'd still lie to her about who killed the other bats and say that he'd been turned after killing the 'real murderer', who just so happened to be the previous vampire king, making Dick in charge. I guess from here there'd be a lot of openly yandere/maniuplation until BB figures everything out. In canon, Damian became a vampire hunter pretty much immediately after being turned but is pretending to be evil to stay in Dick's good graces. Dick obviously knows Damian is with the resistance but is sentimental and won't kill him, but won't let him get too close either as he knows Damian is planning to kill him. So in fic this would include Dick keeping BB away from Damian, since Damian knows Dick killed everyone else. BB would uncover the truth on her own and draw on vampire Wonder Woman's feminist heartstrings to get her to train her behind Dick's back. She'd then find a way to communicate and work with Damian and Barbara. Then I'd go with the canon storyline of Barabra kills Dick, makes someone turn her and then she becomes the Vampire Queen?? Then Damian and BB would be badass vampire hunters in love, and she'd let him feed from her and they'd be badass resistance leaders together.

I have never read Harry Potter and while my physical form has been present for every single one of those movies, I don't think I have ever watched one in full without falling asleep. Not that they're bad or boring or anything but??? IDK. I would totally be at a loss plot wise because I do know that the school is basically the central location, so I would need to know a lot of lore to pull it off. I'd probably go a slice of life route. I'd also have to decide on a house to sort BB into. Probably Ravenclaw just because her upbringing would make her sheltered and well read?? Bruce would still be her adoptive dad and he'd be like whatever Snape was I guess? Maybe a dual potions/defense teacher. Damian is a slytherin who makes cool magic paintings that move. Dick and Jason are on Quidditch teams. Dick is well loved and popular, Jason would be sneaking around at night. IDK about Tim. He's a pop culture bitch in my head and the HP universe doesn't really have any of that, nor do they have tech. These are all cute thoughts! Also please do not do that whole 'where's my update' shit because writing about snogging fictional superheroes does take real hours of my life and I'd much prefer compliments on what I've already written rather than the whole 'gimmie more right now' thing. I know it's supposed to read as cute but tbh it just gives entitled.

HI THIS IS THE SONAVERSE BACKSTORY LORE POST

Hello and welcome hi this is Sunny's big ramblepost about Sonaverse :+)

Sonaverse is where I put my ocs that are liek, my fursonas, and stuff like that.. Most of them are technically fursonas because im a very deep and varied critter lol. But yeah I wanted it to be fun and more unique than just like. Well It's Earth! So I came up with some fun worldbuilding touches hehe :3

One note before we start: Whenever I say the word "Human," that is a BLANKET TERM! "Human" refers to any creature with the intelligence equal to or surpassing a Homo Sapien. Because there are furries and humans and elves and demons and angels and robots and on and on and on.

The rest will be under the cut to not give you a mile long post to scroll through but It would make me Very Very Happy if you read it :+)

SO TO BEGIN.

At the very basest there are three sort of base inherent energies about the world that affect everything, sort of like thermodynamics or, like, gravity. I stole those psychology (?) terms because I like how they sound and Freud was a quack and I can do what I want I don't care.

-Id, being originally defined as like, wishful thinking, illogicality, desire, etc. is the name given to, essentially, magical energy. Magic! You know magic. You can do a lot with it. Id is associated with life, growth, movement, warmth, things of that nature. ID IS NOT INHERENTLY "GOOD" DO NOT MAKE THAT ASSUMPTION.

-Superego, being originally defined as rigidity/morality/stuff like so, is basically anti-magic, like how there's matter and antimatter. It's the fact that things end, death, slowing and cessation, cold. SUPEREGO IS NOT INHERENTLY "EVIL" DO NOT MAKE THAT ASSUMPTION. I know I said this like twice but people love to think "death is EVIL!!" no its fucking not okay if nothing died thered be way too much shit. Mf hoe /like that one post.

-Ego, being the thing that keeps both of them in check originally, is now... The same thing essentially. It is still an energy that permeates reality, but it is more prevalent in humans. Everything contains it, but humans contain FAR more ego, which allows them to sort of manually balance their own levels of Superego and Id. It will do it automatically naturally just due to how they interact, but people can shift it however they like. They can't shift it astronomically in either direction though, because the results are... Not ideal.

SO. Earth is... Different.

-Earth has multiple different planes of reality. [Well. Technically the entire universe does, but Earth's specifically will be relevant later.] There's the mortal plane, where... Mortals go. Big surprise there. There's the spiritual plane, where creatures comprised more prominently of Id reside, fae and supernatural creatures and the like. There's the plane of Divinity, where all things along the lines of gods, demons, angels, and things like that reside. This one is split up differently, being heaven, hell, and Paradiso [that one's where real gods and stuff reside.] You don't like... Go to heaven or hell though. It's just where angels or demons live. They're like the spiritual plane but theyre mmore unique manifestations of Id with distinctly divine touches. Reincarnation is real and people know that it's real but there's not really a way to carry stuff over. Reincarnation super is real though and like everyone knows it.

-Earth has rings! This is because I think it'd be cool if Earth had rings. Those edits of what it'd look like from the ground if Earth had rings like saturn were cool as hell and I'm like well yuppp.

-Earth has three moons! Luna, Aegis, and Cassanova. I haven't developed much about these yet but I think it'd be cool if Earth had multiple moons.

-And... Something else that needs its own section.

So like what's the catch besides that.

Well a long time ago Earth used to be more normal, in that its axis was actually Normal and Upright. However, later on, but still really really far in the past, some guy that was pissed off about nobody paying attention to them said "I'll give you people something to remember," and did the, still to date, largest and most intensive incantation to ever be recorded. Nobody actually knows how they did it, but what happened resulted in an absolutely massive crater on the planet, and the utter concentration of magic actually shifted the Planar Axes. The Metaphysical Axis was shifted drastically, causing a torrent of Id to spill forth, and saturate the planet with it, making literally everything more magical.

This metaphysical axis shift also means that Id-composed creatures [Spiritual plane, Divine plane] could enter our plane FAR easier. This is not necessarily a bad thing, as most things live in relative harmony now. However this is a minor problem as now non human demons (and some human ones), prone to mischievousness can and do rather frequently enter the mortal plane, infesting places. Due to this, demon hunting is a somewhat common occupation, and it's treated like an exterminator job, essentially.

Due to this, Earth has some more unique changes as well!

-Oxygen content is higher, resulting in creatures having the capability to get a lot larger! Megafauna are back on the menu. -Plants grow a lot more! Most cities are much more "solarpunk" looking. Plantlife and vegetation is seen not exactly as sacred, but a place with none of it anywhere is generally accepted to be incredibly dry and boring and distasteful. Almost all locations have plants growing on them inside them, the like. Magic helps sustain them but they all sort of magically manage to make stuff work fine. And that's the main bulk of it all :3 Here's some other little notes:

-Magic and Technology work hand in hand in a lot of things, most technology is magically powered as well. -I make the lore stupid as fuck like tf2 lore almost cause I feel like it and it's funny to me. Shit like Abe Lincon pictured on the penny, rocket jumping. -The city it "Takes Place In" [where all my ocs go] has a building that's sort of its highlight called the Gaia Archive. Think of it like the Library of Alexandria on steroids. Mass collection of all of humanity's knowledge, digital and physical, a combination museum and library and archive and anything else of that nature you could think of.

loafbud etymology

idk if i had said this before a long time ago here yet, but the "loaf" in my name is actually referring to the "lazy, laying around doing nothing; e.g., loafing around" type of loaf, not loaf as in "bread"

some loafbud lore: i actually came up with the name when i was in my junior year in high school. it was for the last name of a fursona i had back then, which was this oc:

this was the time when i started seeing the world thru a more pessimistic lense and instead of countering those negative thoughts with more realistic or optimistic ones, i fed them.

at this age, i was very much someone that'd chant in my head: "long live loners! (← this was literally an oath i swore myself to when i was like,, 17 LOL)! the world is cruel! im a loner because 👿 you made me this way 👿! love isn't real!" and then proceed to fill up my sketchbook with snarling, battle-scared wolves drooling out blood and continue to inwardly blame ppl for my solitude,, even tho I activately chose to isolate myself due to social anxiety & fear of what others thought of me, but my younger self wasn't ready to hear that 😂😂

i say all this because i realized that i created the alias "loafbud" during a more challenging time in my life. "challenging" in the sense that i was always in a constant battle with myself via negative thoughts, when i started choosing to see the world/society in a grim light. i was choosing to let depression define me. I'd still have many positive moments since then, but I'd always allow the dark stuff to consume me from within.

and im here looking back at those days, and how far I've come as a person. even if im not perfect, i grew. i still make mistakes, even the ones that make me go "daaamn loaf, u fucked up big time", but ive allowed myself to learn what ive done wrong, avoid making the same fuckery, and move on! i always used to get so hung up on stuff lol

and after i look back, i come bacm to the present and look at my name: loafbud. i know it's just an alias/online name, but I've always seen myself having a positive future with this alias, even when i was a crabby teenager buried within my own miasma of self-negativity.

it had a meaning then (a meaning i stuck with as a teen), but im in my mid 20s and that meaning has long since no longer resonated with me. and yet i held onto it, desperately. like im this butterfly that's so fucking afraid to leave its cocoon.

i dont want to spend the rest of my life living up to its old meaning: loaf: 'lazy, unproductive'; 'bud: earbuds/buddy'

so starting today, im giving it a new meaning.

Yo! Yo! Yo! I made a new Pokemon xenoverse AU! (More like, changed an already existing AU i had but never shared), so the picture you see looks like a fusion between all 3 xenoverse forms of the starters with Kay’s shirt, that is a Primal form, a primal form is a special ability some really, really, really, really, REALLY special people born with, one of them being Maple, the protagonist of the story, she’s actually a male, but she doesn’t like being one so she’s currently a trans (i love trans 0-0, im a trans myself), her actual name is Kay, but she doesn’t like this name, so she was born with the ability of Primal form, which is the ability to transform into a monstrous & Mystical form of another unique creature (usually fusions of pokemon, usually those Pokemon will be either Pokemon that you have & are very close to you, or pokemon your ancestors had as primal forms if they had this ability or even a mix of both), but Primal forms aren’t the only thing special in this AU, theres a new character! Who’s this character? This is Atlas! My fursona! But in this AU he doesn’t have the paw legends power & a big crew of friends, he only has 2 things, a X Shulong named Mercy and the power of a demi-god (yes, he’s a demi-god), but thats all thanks to Vakuum, who wanted to use Atlas as his vessel due to his extremely high intelligence & how strong he could be if you use him correctly

You don’t need me to show you a ref sheet of Atlas, he appears in every non-arsism AU video (every mifkada lore & vent video), basically Atlas was manipulated by Vakuum & later Vakuum doxxed Atlas & Mercy & they ended up meeting Aster who took care of them, he has mixed feelings about it, on the one hand, Atlas is really fun to be around, can be really helpful when he’s serious, is extremely smart & is strong when he’s around his loved ones, but on the other hand, Atlas is still a 14-years-old novabeast, he’s still very mischievous & annoying and sometimes even hard to take care of, but Aster never regrets taking him, even if Atlas clearly loves Aster’s friends more than Aster himself, Atlas’s favourite person is Maple, to the point he’s like Maple’s loyal dog on his own will, and because Atlas is a demi-god, he also has access to Primal form, but unlike Maple, because he’s a demi-god, he can change to *WHATEVER* Primal form he wants (like, he can choose the design & whenever he wants to change it, and because Primal forms is basically fusion of pokemon, he can have infinite Primal forms, he can even have a non-pokemon creature as his primal form), oh, we mentioned Aster & Primal forms, wanna know another thing about Aster in this AU? He ALSO HAS A PRIMAL FORM!

Here is Aster’s Primal form, his ancestors had an X Shulong & X Shyleon primal form, but because he’s really close to Suicune, his primal form is also a mix of Suicune (the white spots & white long thing that Suicune has in the back)

Infodump about Felix

Appearance rambles:

Even though he's covered in enby pride flags, Felix as a character isn't enby. I'm just projecting my pride onto his design since he's one of my main fursonas + he looks amazing in it

The pride flag on his backpack comes from a content pack someone named Trick made for me a long time ago. I asked for the texture to be changed and said surprise me, and that's what I got. I've kept it as his canon design since.

That also inspired me to add more enby flags to his design, which were added in with content packs {except the one on his shorts}.

The shirt and shorts are the ones they are 80% because I literally didn't know what else to wear and 20% because I actually thought it looked cool. Actually, that's... a lot of his outfit.

I got the shoes during ToonFest 2023 when all the previous codes became public. They look terrible on him and do not fit his color palette or aesthetic. I love them <3

He used to be a tall Toon, but I wanted to look closer in appearance to someone else's Toon so I changed him to a medium height Toon. He also used to be completely orange, but I gave him coral legs because I thought it was something I was obligated to do for being high laff because I saw all the high laff Toons with different colored legs. Past me, sweetie, those were elitists... but it's okay because now I love the coral legs and don't think they're an abomination!

Basically, he's very much thrown together from outside influences and I wouldn't change it for anything now because it became his "brand"

OC lore rambles:

So once upon a time a Toon named Ghostly Felix glitched so bad that his immersion in the world was completely broken and he realized he was in a video game. This was exciting at first and he hacked in max everything, cheated to be invisible so he could hilariously kill bosses with just bike horns or something, ETC.

But after a few years he got bored and basically started pondering his existence. So he created a Toon named Felix so he could be invisible and watch him complete the game so he'd have something to do. When just Felix was boring, he made Cap'n Felix, Doctor Felix, Mr. Felix, Judge Felix, Midnight Felix, Spooky Felix, Frozen Felix, Lucky Felix, Fairy Felix, Prince Felix... you get the idea.

Well, on the day Felix reached 140 laff he found Ghostly Felix by a weird glitch. At first Felix thought he was a new Felixverse addition, but realized that Ghostly Felix already had 140 laff and was acting really scared for some reason. Finally, Ghostly Felix spilled the beans about the fact it was a game and how he created the Felixverse

Felix was horrified to find out he was right, and he instantly got pretty bummed out and asked what the point of his existence is.

Eventually, this was his answer: "To have fun. You don't need to spend so long thinking about it or making it complicated- it really is that simple."

Other rambles:

His name is Felix because when I first played TTR, I tried to name him Shaun because that was my name at the time. It was instantly denied, so naive me thought "too many Toons must have that name already" and picked a random pick-a-name. I didn't expect to really get attached to my Toon or particularly care about him, which is also why he's such an obnoxious orange instead of literally any color I actually liked at the time. Well, orange is now my second favorite color because of him and I wouldn't change his appearance for the world.

He's not based off of a TTO Toon. I only remember one Toon I made in TTO, which was a red rabbit named Raboon {"rabbit" + "toon"}. I've already remade Raboon in TTR on a different Toon slot, but I didn't want to be a rabbit in TTR when I was first starting, I wanted to be a cat! So that's why I made a new Toon.

Originally when my Felixverse lore was much more resembling a kid's cartoon {yes the entire old lore that I told literally nobody was retconned lol}, he had a love interest Toon named Felixia. She was an orange cat who, like older cartoons, was basically supposed to be a copy/paste of him except feminine and cutesy. I do not have any Toons named Felixia in any of my TTR or TTCC accounts, but when I used to play Toontown Offline I did make her an unreasonably overpowered SOS Toon who would use marbles that did 200 damage.

Felix's name is actually pronounced in German, meaning that it's pronounced kinda like fae-lix rather than how most people pronounce it to me, which is fee-lix.

Speaking of his name, if it wasn't evident enough already, he was Felix before I was Felix. He basically became my identity online over time.

In the TPiaG cast, I relate to everyone pretty equally! They all reflect different facets of my personality and life experiences, at least with how I've written them. Ranboo and TommyInnit's characters from Dream SMP

I'd never heard of Ranboo as a content creator before my friends busted in the door to my DMs to say his character was Literally Sofie and I needed to check these compilation videos of him Right This Very Second. I didn't believe them at first. But then I watched a couple vids and was like "Ah. I see. He IS Literally Sofie."

I had to avoid watching anything put out by Ranboo for his DSMP character because the guy's acting was so good I would feel down for days after watching his lore. That one scene in the panic room where he's talking with the voice in his head hit too close to home, and I couldn't watch anything else by him afterward because it would send me backsliding emotionally. It was very cathartic, don't get me wrong! But psychosis was a bit too fresh of a wound at the time for me to start revisiting.

TommyInnit's character is one that I think people might be surprised I relate to, but his prey animal rage is something I find very relatable. I might be projecting too many headcanons onto him, however. I've written a fair number of fics focusing on Tommy, and I never was certain if he was very in-character.

Hunter from The Owl House

I haven't watched The Owl House in full, and don't have the means to do so, but Oh My Word. Hunter is just me in a different outfit. Geeky little ADHD-having, people-pleasing, dumb-dumb itty bitty trauma-experiencing baby boy. I see him and I see my teenage self. That one scene in that montage where the main cast are in the human world and he gets a haircut because he's having issues with his hair being triggering? I've lived that! I hardly have to project onto him because he's already me.

Sophie from Howl's Moving Castle (the movie specifically)

Book Sophie is too sassy for me to compare myself to, haha. But movie Sophie is pretty relatable! Being hesitant yet impulsive, lacking confidence when it comes to herself but finding it easy to take a leadership role and advocate for others— heck, I even had identical hair to her when I was younger, complete with those annoying little wispy hairs coming out from her hairline! I also used to have a habit of talking to inanimate objects before anxiety beat that trait out of me.

One might assume the name was a contributing factor to me relating to her. Now would probably be a good time to reveal Sofie is just a pen name, not my real one ^^;

Hey there Anon! So sorry for the lag in the response, I wanted to be sure I could give you an in depth answer! It’s gonna be long, so I’ll put a Read More here~ if you have any questions, feel free to dm me!

Lemme start by saying, Thank you so much! You’re so sweet! 😭😭 it seriously makes my day to hear that, you don’t even know 😭🖤

Secondly, as for Remi and Levi, both characters started out as roleplay characters that @thekinkyleopard and I came up with about 10 years ago! The characters themselves have evolved over the years as we’ve done a hundred different storylines and bounced ideas off of each other. Draeko, on the other hand, was created less than 6 months ago, so he’s not as in depth of a character.

Now, I’ve been doing art for as long as I can remember, and creating characters has always been something I love doing. But everyone creates an OC differently. Personally, I always start with the visualization of a new character, first.

Like for instance, for Draeko, I started with just a color pallet, (ie, pastel pink, white, pastel mint green, and pink plaid). And because I’m a furry, most of my OC’s usually have an attachment of some kind to an animal (shifters, or my Hellhound), plus I wanted more of a complex character since Remi was so plain.

I started drawing a reference sheet for him, which is pretty much a large, informational sheet with your OC in a bunch of different angles, along with key information, accessories, or whatever you want people to know about your character. Here’s some examples of reference sheets I’ve done for our OCs:

I usually start with the full body view first, coming up with details to add as I go.

(Most of my OC’s started out as fursonas, so they already had their animal form, I just would need to design a human form that matched it.)

I then come up with their personality as I’m adding details, and accessories, and naming them. And very last, I come up the details for their backstory, as well as any lore I can come up with.

HOWEVER

Everyone creates differently, and if you’re someone without much art experience or just don’t have a want to create art, OR if that just seems backwards to you,

An easy, pain free way to create your own in depth character that can just always live in your head, or one that you commission another artist to bring to life for you, they have these AMAZING character development type sheets that you can fill out, essentially making a written Reference Sheet so someone else can imagine (or bring to life) your character accurately. Here’s just a few I found in Pinterest by looking up “character development sheet”

As for how I create my art, I use an iPad and Apple Pencil, along with the program Procreate to freehand draw (or I also use bases or pose references from Pinterest!) all of my art from scratch!

Sorry if this is way longer of an answer than you were hoping for/expecting, but I wanted to cover as many points as I possibly could!

So uh, I got motivated to start posting more about my fanfictions/weird art here. Posting schedule is pretty terrible but I do get projects done occasionally.

I'll be starting a more dedicated side blog soon, (one that's pretty much all robots since that what I'm obsessed with rn) and it will definitely be nsft, because I've got some serious robot crushes and I'm trying to keep everything sfw on main.

(I will talk about transformers here too, I've got a bunch of fic ideas in the works, I'm just bad about finishing them. Other than that it's mostly obscure lore and speculative biology)

I'm still planning to use my main for weird insomniac rambling, and cryptid hunting- also just the rare reference to actually being a human and not like. a weird squid. (One can dream 😮‍💨)

This blog is, for the most part, SFW. But there are some exceptions. I curse, drink and eat weed. I am not excessive about it, but I'm not trying to hide it either. So if that is something you want to avoid this this is not the blog for you.

(Mostly I use sfw/nsft when talking about excessive-gore type horror, or explicit sexual material (not anything real-life in either, just art and writing) which will both get dedicated blogs with specialized 18+ only warnings. I will not be putting content of either type on my main.)

Main is definitely the best place to learn about how far along any of my projects are coming though. And I will put them here if they are sfw.
