I love seeing all your headcanons for darker flashfam aus, because I have been thinking for a while that even though DC tries to push for cute/wholesome interpretations of the teams and families, a lot of the time in practice there's actually really dark stuff going on that they refuse to acknowledge, but the problem is fandom also doesn't like to talk about it either...
This is not a problem only with the Flash family, yeah. These folks have very complicated relationship and not all of it is sunshine and rainbows, there's a lot of dark spots and there's a lot of abusive behavior they have towards each other. And they are written like this! Fans aren't the ones who came up with Wally nearly killing Barry because Hunter told him so, or with Aquaman betraying and nearly killing Garth to save Arthur jr, or with Bruce beating up and gaslighting Dick, and I could go on. This is all canon, but then DC flips the switch and acts like these "families" (between quotation marks because in some cases these aren't families at all) are all good and sweet and "unproblematic".
And it's a big problem with the fandom too.
You can show people entire pages of Iris verbally abusing and guilt-tripping Barry, or the downright outrageous way Bruce treats Stephanie, or all the shit that went down between Oliver and Roy, and people will still act like these relationship are flawless and there's absolutely nothing wrong with their dynamics.
Some of it boils down to people refusing to acknowledge abuse, and like, this is a problem in real life too so I'm not exactly surprised here. Some of it is people having developed a specific idea about the DC "families" (through fanon or some fluffy stories or their own headcanons), and refusing to acknowledge that reality is different than what they thought.
Either way it's extremely frustrating. Relationships between heroes and their clusters are complex, and "everything is ok because they love each other" doesn't cut it because it's not so simple by a long shot (not saying that they DON'T love each other, but love doesn't negate abuse). And if DC wants their families to be unproblematic then they should write them that way!

I have said it before and I will say it again - the culinary arts have hobbled themselves through their euro-centrism in general, and focus on the french standard for pastry specifically
the true future of tasty delights lies in fusion cuisine and inter-cultural cooperation and sharing

unsurprising but still frustrating that Roman mythology is cross tagged Greek

The Doctor: He [Isaac Newton] was, wasn't he? He was so hot. Oh, is that who I am now?
So what personality trait of his new regeneration is the Doctor mildly surprised by here? He doesn't sound shocked, but it seems to be enough of a difference to mention out loud. A lot of people seem to be interpreting the that as referring to being into guys. To be fair, I think that's how Donna understands it in her next line.
My understanding of the line is slightly different. Feeling attraction to men (along with other genders) is nothing new to the Doctor. Nine and Captain Jack Harkness kissed full on the lips onscreen! Look at any interactions between Ten and the Master. Consider that changing gender presentation is something that any Time Lord might do at any regeneration, so treating gender as a limiting factor in attraction wouldn't make sense for the Doctor.
No, what has changed is that Fourteen is the sort of person who will directly admit when he finds someone hot while gossiping with his BFF. Not brilliant, or fascinating, or even beautiful, but hot. That's what's new.

As an artist I love the idea of Edwin and Charles being amazing at art but, here me out, Charles cannot draw for the (after)life of him. Does this stop him? NO! He literally doodles stick figures in crayon, but this is a super private part of himself (cause he’s insecure and doesn’t want others opinions). So the first time Edwin sees one is by complete accident and he's absolutely delighted. Like “Charles, is this us?” and he has that dimpled beaming smile and oh. Charles didn't have anything to worry about, huh?

Radioapple could be better
Back in the old days radioapple was my fan favorite crack ship . How the times change
Before we got our official depiction of Lucifer as we have now, I imagined him to be condescending, sly, manipulative character who would go on to be Alastor’s foil. Now, the only thing of that remains is that he is Alastor’s foil but the subversion of the sexy and powerful Lucifer of pop culture into sad-awkward dad Lucifer is amazing and I’ve grown really fond of it.
But for how popular it is now, there’s still a big itch that fan content for radioapple (or maybe just Lucifer) fails to scratch for me. This isn’t an issue I have that’s exclusive to Lucifer either, I nearly lost my mind about it in Tv series Lucifer(2016) too.
it’s the fact that there’s barely anyone seems to depict Lucifer’s sheer knowledge. If we are going by the finale, 10,000 years ago is when Lucifer first fell. He is at least 10,000 years old.
10,000 years to learn from the millions of stories (in passing and directly) who have fallen into hell. The wars, the disasters, the movements, the people!!! Age does not equate to wisdom, but you cannot live that long and fail to pick up a certain degree of separation from petty grievances of people who have lived only a fraction of the time you have. That’s doesn’t mean you’re immune to doing irrational things or having childish flaws, but those should coexist with the sheer weight of your knowledge. There should be a certain novelty that an immortal feels in being grounded around very young people who treat them like they are human. Because the knowledge and experience that comes with being immortal can be very dehumanizing, and that is especially so for a figure who has been maybe the most demonized in myth and religion ever.
Give me a Lucifer who knows thousands of different writings, religions, traditions, languages. Give me a Lucifer who contemplates the cruelty of some of the most infamous sinners in real life that have fallen into hell. Give me a Lucifer who becomes lost in ancient levels of nostalgia—his halcyon days with Lilith when humanity began to rear up and he was still hopeful.
Give me an Alastor who, beyond his resentment and ego, is deathly curious how Lucifer works. As a kid who likely went to church every Sunday and listened to pastors caution against the devil so many times his ears may fall off, to meet the guy himself? To meet the entity whom the entirety of the god fearing south wanted to scare him to sleep with? To finally meet the dealmaker of dealmakers?
Give me a late night conversation between the two where they discuss the what alastor has heard about Lucifer topside, Lucifer’s genuine curiosity of Alastor’s morality as a human, and the overall smallness of their existences in the largeness of their myths.
