William Rex MBTI Analysis
Tumblr media
I just finished William’s route for the 4th time and wanted to write this since I see a ton of people on the personality database website mistyping him.
William is a classic Entj 8w7 tbh and I think the reason people aren’t clocking it is because of the stereotypes surrounding that personality type. Not every entj 8w7 is a demon war criminal with no feelings or morals. As one myself I saw a lot of myself in William with the way he thinks and operates and his values. He also reminds me a lot of Sylus from Love and Deepspace and that’s what made me start questioning the typing they have for him right now. Both him and Sylus are “healthier”representations of that personality type and are more in touch with their Fi.
If this makes sense to you guys please go to the PDB website and vote ENTJ 8w7 for Will so we can get it corrected.
Analysis under the cut.
1. Extraverted Thinking (Te):
Te is the primary way TeNi’s interact with the world around them. Te is all about efficiency and getting things done. It is the TeNi’s primary decision-making process, which means that if a decision is needed in the moment, they will rely on what makes the most sense logically.
William’s Te is at the forefront of his personality. Most of the info about him comes from the full love bonus story from reading both endings. In that story something that really stuck out to me was his statement, “I will make this power obey my will, control it, and tame it,”. He’s saying this in response to his moral dilemma about his power being able to take away people’s freedom. Rather than lament his ability to control others, which he considers a contradiction to his core values, he chooses to impose order on this chaos. A true monarch. His immediate response is to take control with no hesitation. His fate should’ve been a threat to him so his response is to become the master of his own curse.
On top of that, his sense of justice is incredibly firm but at the same time he believes in the ends justifying the means. He uses his powers as a tool for punishing those he deems to be oppressors, stating that those who trample on freedom are “unforgivably evil.” Furthermore, his Te ensures that his sense of justice is actionable. He doesn’t just hold abstract ideals; he transforms them into concrete systems, and actively uses his powers to enforce justice for those who violate his moral code.
Basically, all his decisions and values are rooted in clear, rational frameworks, where he sees himself as the ultimate arbiter of morality. This efficient, results-driven perspective is absolutely Te dominant.
2. Introverted Intuition (Ni):
Ni is the way that a TeNi perceives their inner world, it dictates the way they store information and how they perceive that information. It also heavily dictates the path that their train of thought will take.
William’s Ni is interesting because it shows up in his fixation on the concept of destiny and freedom. He recognizes the irony of his existence: born to value freedom above all else, yet cursed with powers that inherently strip others of theirs. But because of his age dominance, this contradiction doesn’ paralyze him but instead motivates him to enforce his moral philosophy with conviction and to use the hand date has dealt him to do so. His Ni allows him to create a unified vision of justice and morality, framing his powers not as a curse but as an opportunity to shape the world according to his ideals. His long-term perspective is evident in his acceptance of his role as a “villain,” choosing to happily shoulder the consequences of his actions rather than compromising his vision. This is evident throughout his whole route when he asks MC to record his sins as an irredeemable villain to make sure that the legend of the self righteous monarch lives on for generations even after he’s met his end.
3. Extraverted Sensing (Se):
Se helps the TeNi use their senses to understand the world around them. They enjoy living in the moment and are capable when it comes to dealing with things that they can experience and touch in addition the purely hypothetical. This is because their Ni and Se fall in the middle as far as preferences go, so they’re able to flip back and forth to use each one as it’s needed. Se is also what drives them to search out playful new sensory experiences.
William is shown to take pleasure and satisfaction in the way he delivers his punishments. The route makes a point of describing his eyes and the way William takes pleasure in his own ferocity during these punishments. He doesn’t just want to “get it over with” he wants to have the full experience of commiting the sin. His ability to focus on the tactile and sensory aspects—the sights, sounds, and even the emotions evoked—demonstrates a strong tertiary Se. And this tertiary Se doesn’t only manifest in his violent acts—it also shows in his appreciation for beauty, art, music and even sex (Ex: the scene of him eating strawberries in the cafe with MC, his passion for music, his interest in connecting with people from all walks of life). He’s the type of person to savor physical pleasures and immerse himself in the present moment of those things.
4. Inferior Introverted Feeling (Fi):
Fi is the ENTJ’s last function. Fi helps them to assess situations to see how things match up to their values and beliefs. They may think of their Fi as their “gut instinct”. It helps them learn to be sensitive to the values and feelings of those around them. It can act as a warning system when they think a decision makes sense logically, but somewhere inside, Fi is the alarm saying it’s a bad idea. However, because Fi is the TeNi’s weakest function, they will often act with the swift decisiveness of Te first, before considering how their actions might affect the feelings of others or taking time to think about whether their decision lines up with their values.
So there’s 2 points that can be made regarding this. The first part is about his morals.
Despite his rational exterior, William’s deep internal conflict over his powers points to his inferior Fi. He considers his ability to control others a profound moral contradiction, as it conflicts with his core belief in freedom. However, instead of sitting and agonizing over this emotional struggle openly, he rationalizes it through his Te-dominant framework, and to simply become its master. Also his repeated acknowledgment of contradictions in his existence shows the tension between his powers and his values. He says in the bonus story, “I gave them freedom and found joy in watching them love that freedom, yet I would be the one to take it away again.” This self-awareness highlights his internal struggle, but his default response—to let people go for the sake of their freedom—reflects his Te- dominance rather than an emotionally motivated decision. He will let them go even if it breaks their heart.
This leads me to my second point about this. When falling in love with MC, William was faced with a dilemma. Being with her would, in his point of view take away her freedom which is a sin he refused to commit. However instead of spending the time unpacking that he immediately jumped to his ate function and did what he deemed rational in that moment which was to decide to leave as he always does. It’s interesting because his inferior Fi shows up in both ways, staying true to his values, but also having a massive oversight on MC’s feelings and desires in that moment and causes her a lot of pain. And that oversight remains until she (in ch 18) almost takes control of the situation even above him and shows him what she wants through a very blunt display (getting stabbed).
Enneagram Analysis: 8w7
William’s need for freedom and disdain for oppression are hallmarks of Type 8. He refuses to let fate, his powers, or external forces define him, asserting instead, “I couldn’t let something like fate deny me of being my own master.” This fierce independence drives his actions, from punishing oppressors to letting others go to protect their freedom. However, his control is not limited to himself; as an 8, he extends his authority outward, enforcing his moral vision on those he deems unjust and encourages everyone around him to become their own masters as well.
Between 8w7 and 8w9, William would be a 7 because of his Se. His boldness and ability to captivate others with his convictions make him a natural leader. This wing also amplifies his avoidance of emotional vulnerability, as seen in his tendency to rationalize rather than process his internal contradictions.
Why William Is Not an ENFJ or INFJ because those are the other 2 I’ve heard people saying.
Both ENFJs and INFJs are defined by their reliance on Extraverted Feeling (Fe) and a focus on interpersonal harmony. William, by contrast, prioritizes efficiency and justice over emotional connection, ruling out both types.
• Not ENFJ: ENFJs are people-oriented leaders who seek to unite and inspire others. While William’s charisma might seem ENFJ-like, his approach to supporting others is far more authoritarian and pragmatic. He enforces his ideals unilaterally, without the Fe-driven need to create collective harmony or prioritize the feelings of others. He says so himself in the bonus story that the things he does are out of self righteousness only. Entjs and enfjs can often get confused but the differentiation is that he helps others because he’s honoring HIS desires. He’s not doing it because of some grand desire to help others.
• Not INFJ: While William grapples with moral contradictions, his struggles are rooted in rational frameworks, not emotional exploration. Furthermore, INFJs tend to avoid direct confrontation, whereas William thrives in it. Additionally INFJs are Se inferior which is the main reason it’s ruled out. William is not Se inferior at all.
Why William Is Not a 7w8 or 1w9
• Not 7w8: While William’s charisma and love for freedom might align with 7w8, his motivations do not fit this type. 7w8s are driven by a desire to avoid pain and seek enjoyment, whereas William’s actions are rooted in a need for control and justice. His moral philosophy is too rigid for a 7w8, which would prioritize adaptability and personal pleasure.
• Not 1w9: Type 1s are perfectionists who pursue moral ideals through discipline and self-restraint. William is the opposite of self restraint. While he has a strong moral code, it is not driven by a desire for perfection or self-discipline but by a a self righteous desire. He says many times throughout the route that if MC thinks he is evil she is free to punish him how she wishes. He has never said he is a good or moral person and in fact says the opposite. He’s a villain doing what he values. His willingness to accept his role as a “villain” further supports his ENTJ 8w7 classification. He views himself as a necessary force of justice, even if it means being seen as cruel or self-righteous. His statement, “I followed my heart and chose to commit sins as a villain,” reveals his willingness to embrace moral ambiguity in pursuit of his ideals.
So in conclusion he’s an obvious ENTJ 8w7
Here are some screenshots I used as evidence

Responding to 3 anons in #5796
"I agree with this tbh. Like adults are the ones making things unsafe for minors in fandom spaces. YOU are the ones who approach minors unprompted. Minors are just minding their own business in fandom, then you all come along and bother everyone."
Predators that are adults are not synonymous with all adults in fandom. It's not the fault of the vast majority of fandom that kids purposefully bust into adult spaces and arbitrarily believe the creeps saying they're "safe" adults. It's the fault of your parents for not reaching you worth a damn and the predator. And yes, kids do fucking barge into adult NSFW spaces. None of the the ones that say they mind their business actually do.
"I agree with this post, cause like... the ones doing the most harassing are adults. I am a minor, and it makes me feel unsafe in fandom spaces. Especially when I see adults drawing nsfw of characters who are MINORS! aging them up does not excuse that gross and creepy behavior. Just stop and give us a space where we don't get pushed into a corner and called annoying. Leave our fandom spaces!"
It's gonna be really funny when you age out of your favorite characters and have a moral dilemma over the fact that you don't stop thirsting over Bakugo or whoever the fuck the minute you're older than him.
And aging up is...how time works. That's like saying no one can view anyone sexually, fictional or real life, because they were once a child. Do you realize how stupid that sounds? If you don't want to be sat at the kids table, learn how to behave rather than screaming at the main table because Aunt Milly told an off color joke and Grandpa Joe has a naked Princess Peach tattooed on his arm.
"I see people getting mad about Fandom Problem #5796, but that kind of is just proving the point? You all act like the minors are the biggest problem in fandom, but you are the ones constantly inserting yourselves and making it about you.
I see adults say things like:
- "Fandom wouldn't exist without adults."
- "Who do you think created fandom? Not minors!"
- "Minors wouldn't have content if it weren't for adults."
All are ignorant of the idea that minors are the foundation to fandom. Fandom would not exist if it wasn't for minors being interested in it and starting groups for people to join. Often times, the best artists and writers in the fandoms are THE MINORS.
Adults make the space uncomfortable by inserting themselves and putting NSFW fics and art of minor characters. Then they get pissy when a minor points out it makes them uncomfortable and go "stop invading our space!"
You are the ones trying to push minors out when we just want to have fun! Just leave us alone!
-A minor"
Minors aren't the biggest problem, no. But by food are they the loudest. You say you just want to have fun but minors have on mass harassed people that were leaving them alone simply because they didn't understand the concept of dead dove don't eat.
And no, you are not, nor have you ever been, the foundation of fandom. It has always been adults, from the very beginning when Sherlock Holmes novels gained an international fan club unlike the world had ever seen to the 1960s housewife Spock/Kirk shipping Trekkies starting conventions, mailing lists, having coalate parties for zines, and laying down the foundation we have today. Adults were the ones that got sued my lunatic writers in the 90s, and they're the ones that, 90% of the time, are buying the services or media for you to consume in the first place.
And I'm sorry, but the best artists and writers in the fandom are never minors. Exceptionally talented minors are exceptional for a reason. The rest of you sit somewhere between "average and has potential" to "would make My Immortal hide its face in secondhand embarassment." Art and writing are skills, and anyone under the age of 16 likely hasn't been writing fiction long enough to run with the heavy hitters. Considering the state of the US education system, this is an even more laughable stance.
Many minors have great potential, but acting like your the best in show when you just made it out the gate is the height of hubris.
Posting as a response to a previous problem.

I’m convinced that even if Jiang Cheng ended up dying and getting brought back as a fierce corpse, OP would just say “hey, pookie bear Wei Wuxian brought him back at least! He’d be rotting in a depression spiral if they didn’t kill him!”
sorry, anon from before, two thoughts and then I'm DONE I promise, one of MY grievances is that antis have weird takes that would be fun if they finished the thought instead of killing it with 'and that's why the protagonist is good and the antagonist is bad' like. be brave! be interesting! like yeah, actually, "JC comes back as a fierce corpse and WWX and wq are so horrified that they go into denial about it like no, this is fine, we can make this work, nobody get upset" would actually be a very fun and fucked up au.
my second, spicier take is that people make fun of 'female-coded male characters' but "family member and doctor make medical decisions for [character] without their knowledge or permission and this is fine -- [character] should be grateful, in fact!" is something you'd hear from the antagonist in like, the yellow wallpaper. I think canon is less misogynistic than that -- I think wwx and wq are implied to understand that they're violating a boundary and it's reasonable to assume that the person they're operating on would be upset -- but it would be fun to see the horror AU where they're completely upfront right after the surgery because they didn't do anything wrong and only a crazy person would be upset.
I am sorry I didn’t see this ask in my notes until today!!!
No but fr even Jiang cheng somehow died horribly during that core transfer, there still would’ve been someone crawling out of the woodwork to say “oh but my baby did his best, it’s not like jc would have amounted to much anyway🥺” and that gets me.
Tbh the golden core thing actually made me like wwx and wq more because that morally grey action really humanised him to me. Wen Qing didn’t do it out of kindness, she did it because she cared about wwx and felt like she owed him a great debt. Another complicated decision!
What makes the transfer interesting in the first place is the moral dilemma and the fact that he was desperate to fix things both because he couldn’t bear to see jc so broken and because he felt crushingly guilty about the fall of lotus pier! It’s that desperation to somehow make things right and save jc that drove him imo, and isn’t that what he says in the book as well? That he couldn’t bear to see jc like that and that he did everything in his power to find a solution?
Like you said, idk why people try so hard to justify their actions when they literally don’t have to? How about we appreciate the character and his not-so-perfect actions instead of moral panicking lol
And the misogyny thing!!! All I hear is “Oh, why would silly Jiang Cheng know what’s good for him, he’s too emotional!” It’s giving 1950s lobotomisation.
” What gets me isn’t even the fact that they did the surgery or that it was bad, it’s the fact that antis say it was a morally correct decision! I cannot believe some people unironically think the concept of basic bodily autonomy is selfish pls-
As for the horror AU, that would honestly be diabolical and I’m currently thinking of all the ways in which Jiang cheng would react to it. The idea of a wwx that’s even more unhinged than in canon frantically explaining what he did to jc like “see! Shidi, I fixed everything for you, I’ve fulfilled my debt and I’ve fixed you and it’s all gonna be okay :DDDDD” and jc just staring at him in absolute horror really is such a concept, I need more of it.
and btw I love when people rant at me, so never say sorry for that!!

As an honorary Shidou apologist, I am breaking my silence. I’ve finally decided to go on a rant on why I don't think Kirisaki Shidou is an organ harvester.
(fair warning I like absolutely suck ass at organizing my thoughts, so if some of this is incoherent or if it seems like i'm repeating myself my bad 😭 I mainly wrote this for fun)
So, I'm aware that this theory is the most popular consensus when it comes to Shidou (and tbh, I think part of it is because a lot of people kinda look over him? Like at least a tiny bit more than the others, considering a lot of people also don’t realize how his main victim was probably his son and not his wife, but I digress) (plus I think all milgram characters are looked over to a certain extent). While I do think parts of it are probably accurate in some way, I don't think he was a full-on organ harvester (as in he actively stole from patients through illegal means. emphasis on actively) and that the theory in and of itself is flimsy at best. He's morally questionable, yes, but it’s more in the sense that he’s a somewhat apathetic guy who lacked understanding on how his own set of morals and values (i.e. pushing for organ donation) could be seen as wrong. So if he were an organ harvester, wouldn’t he be aware that it’s illegal? That’s what confuses me whenever people bring it up. I don't actually doubt that he may have done something illegal for his family's sake, it’s just that I still highly doubt it was something he actively did. And that seems to be what a lot of people think when they refer to the theory. (if i’m wrong please forgive me, i just assume organ harvester shidou = people think he did it as a job)
Anyways, more under the cut for those interested (it's a bit lengthy my apologies)
It then kinda trickles down to how his guilt stems more from the consequences of his actions rather than the actual action of taking organs. The root of his guilt comes from the realization that basically asking families to pull the plug and use their loved ones' organs for donation is a very, very hard decision; one that he kept pressuring for. If he was an illegal organ harvester, and was aware that his actions were in fact illegal, why the hell would he feel so guilty to the point that he’d start having suicidal ideations? That’s the key difference between his profession and his possible criminal activities; one is a burden both emotionally and morally, the other is more or less a literal burden. And based off of Shidou's character, he seems to be much more emotionally affected. That's also why I think a lot of people jump to the conclusion that his guilt stems from his actual actions rather than their effects. (does that make sense oh lord i am going ☝️🤓 so hard rn)
I get that some parts of his MV or lyrics seem to be suggesting that, but also it’s important to note that Shidou has a very strong bias against himself and definitely painted himself in a negative light. I mean, that's why he thinks every single preceding patient before the final incident is a victim to him, why he shows himself staying professional in a professional setting as apathetic (minus the pressuring part), and why he literally equates his job to STEALING. Not only that but, imo, it's also a little too unrealistic and might not actually fit the criteria of Milgram. Milgram is for crimes that are in a morally grey area. So if it really was organ harvesting, is it really in a grey area? (though I guess you could say that doing it for family's sake would be, but that's only for his family. He'd have no reason to do it otherwise). Plus, it'd make more sense and fit the theme of touching upon social issues (i.e. abortion, bullying, societal standards, mental health, etc.) if shidou’s entire dilemma was in regards to (albeit questionably done) organ donation, a complicated ethical topic in Japan.
Throw Down actually gives a pretty good rough idea of Shidou's thoughts towards his crime and his feelings in regards to it. He felt like he was blinded by his own values, and that inadvertently caused him to be unaware of the suffering he caused through his job. It really does shock me that he somehow was able to pull-off getting a forgiven verdict in T1 because he certainly comes off as cold and uncaring in regards to his work.
I think the final bridge in Throw Down kinda summarizes his entire mindset, actually.
Now slowly close your eye, put your regret on display Wishing you for someone else's sake With the same expression no matter who comes I don’t feel scared because I don’t know
Shidou doesn't quite understand the feelings of his patient's families, and therefore he acts remorseful and sympathetic more than he actually feels. Why? Well, because he didn't know. Up until that point, he never understood the weight of his actions, and focused on his role as a doctor. "This is an upsetting subject, yes, but it's for the greater good, right?” A braindead person has little to no chances of living, so why not use this as an opportunity to donate their organs? Moreover, as a doctor I believe it’s typical to be "emotionally detached” (for lack of a better word) since I’d assume becoming emotionally connected with a patient would make things at least a bit messy.
His mindset comes crumbling down though, presumably because he experienced the same or a similar situation. This part remains muddy for me, since we don't know much about what the actual cause for Shidou's guilt is. There are several possibilities, with the most plausible ones being:
he lost his own family member and had to go through with the same decision,
he tried to save a family member using donated organs, but failed, making it seem like everything he has done as a doctor was in vain
(a secret third option would be him making someone he cares about make that decision but it's very unlikely and also requires too much mental gymnastics)
But no matter what exactly he did, it all trickles down to the validity of his morals. After realizing the pain of losing a loved one, the struggle of trying to save them, and the unfortunate failure which left all efforts practically pointless, Shidou would understand the actual weight of his actions and why all those families were so reluctant to let go of their own.
This is even more evident in his T2 voice drama, Asclepius.
"In order to save the life of someone you don't know, please let me kill your family," I told them. It doesn't even take much thinking to realize how cruel that is, but… I didn't realize it until the very end.
This is the gist of Shidou's crime, or at least part of it (considering he says "Well, about halfway" when Es asks if their judgment was right). Again, this tells us that Shidou's guilt comes from the act of the effects of organ donation rather than the literal action. And this also implies that his "murders" did in fact have to do with being in a medical situation, it's just the way he went about it was at the very least morally questionable.
I will also acknowledge that he says he killed for selfish reasons, which most likely relates to trying to save his own family member. Here he could possibly have actually done something illegal such as tampering with patients or illegally taking their organs (latter is a stretch imo). Plus, his distorted T2 voice trailer line is literally "You're in the way, hurry up and die" which would only make sense in the context of waiting for a patient to die. But it could also just be him continuing to pressure for organ donation, but now with his own selfish motives.
Going back to the "halfway" comment, while I personally believe it might have to do with how Shidou views his crime as more than just taking organs, it more likely implies that something else happened that Shidou would consider murder. That being the actual death of his family member. It's implied through Throw Down that he was trying to save someone but failed, which he was responsible for. Then from there it'd make sense to assume that he would feel some form of guilt for the rest of his patients, either for the reason of failing to actually utilize donated organs even with the opportunity of being able to save them, or for just realizing the what it actually feels like to have to give up on your loved one. (does. does that make any sense.)
So yeah, I don’t think he’s an organ harvester due to what’s known regarding his crime, the reasoning for his guilt, and with the way he is as a character. The most I’d personally believe is that he decided to harvest organs for the sake of his loved one, but even that seems like a stretch to me. Thus, that is why I believe Kirisaki Shidou is not an organ harvester.
Anyways I’ve rambled on long enough, thank you for reading if you did and remember to drink water and vote shidou innocent in trial 3 because i will shit my pants if he doesn't get inno

ah yes, of course I have more to say. This time it's not about a specific comparison/trope, more about how angels are perceived by viewers (but also partly by writers, too, tbh).
anything about angels being ethereal and divine etc: I think sometimes the non-in-universe view warps what's canon when it comes to angels. For instance, the way we the audience commonly perceive angels sort of interferes with the in-universe depiction of said creatures. Like, maybe we see angels as ethereal, celestial, incomprehensible figures but in SPN they're anything but. We can very much understand their motives, their feelings and what their agenda is. It's totally not beyond human comprehension, as amatter of fact, it's very much human but it's also NOT human at the same time because angels don't have the same morality as humans do and their notion of "good" and "evil" is quite peculiar, if they even have one. This is also why the "halo and a harp" joke is thrown around quite a few times as a reminder that SPN angels are not "our" angels.
The same misrepresentation happens when it's about angels and love (and sex). It's pretty clear that in SPN (hashtag not all but many) angels are actually very, very, very much interested in sex and love. I'll concede that they tend to confuse obsession for love and that there's a lot of repression/suppression/sublimation/you name it going on in that department but, frankly, it's not something so inherently alien that humans can't relate to.
Anyhow, I don't think it's only the audience's fault, though, as I see SPN writers implicitly inserting their own personal view into the story as well. For example, the idea that Lucifer is the "primary agent of evil" in s14 after we've spent a whole season dealing with how God has traumatized and abused both his own sister and his own "son" and how said sister has, in return, abused and traumatized Lucifer doesn't exactly hold up. I mean, if there must be one primary agent of evil in SPN everything seemed to point to Chuck well before s14's big "reveal". Moreover, from their first appearance in S4 angels have perhaps wreaked havoc more than demons and other monsters combined. Lucifer is admittedly a big problem (among other things because he is an abuser and a general piece of shit) but he's not the only problem in paradise (lol).
Related to the first point, how Dean's in awe with Cas because he's a celestial being etc: this is something that I read in a lot of fics so it's just both my own personal taste and my fic preferences (I like when fics stick to canon as far as possible because I like to see how different minds might have developed a particular storyline) that differ from others and that's fine, to each their own. The thing is, I don't really see it. Maybe S3-4 Sam was more in awe with the idea of angels but after Lucifer I don't think the guy's particularly moved by them. As far as Dean's concerned, I actually see him hating on angels the most. Vampires can be okay, werewolves maybe, he's surprisingly okay with demons as well, but angels? He doesn't like them at all. And I mean this, this is actually interesting because out of all the creatures in the world he hates (and who have hurt him and his family) he ends up getting a best friend/consort who belongs to that particular flavor he just can't tolerate and who probably hurt him and his family the most ("Angels are just monsters with good PR"). As in: Dean finds Cas amazing because he's Cas, not because he's an angel but he IS an angel nevertheless and that alone causes some problems. It makes for a very interesting moral dilemma and an engaging angle to explore where a good chunk of their issues stems from.

Tbh I always thought it was such a shame that Moxxie’s dilemma with killing innocents was dropped after Murder Family.
Like this never gets brought back again, and conveniently mostly all their targets aren’t good ppl or nameless nobodies the story doesn’t care abt. Like what if their next target actually was a genuinely innocent family? What would Moxxie do then?
Him still looking scarred at the end of ep 1 after what happened + Blitz’s threatening Moxxie/being so pissed after he screwed up, really made me think that eventually it would lead to a later ep where Moxxie really can’t go through with it this time, and Blitz gets enraged, leading to a temporary falling out or at least strife within the team as nobody else in IMP has a moral compass for humans, even his wife Millie?
(Especially since I was thinking this before Truth Seekers came out, and I was thinking that would have been the situation where they fight and Blitzo realizes how bad he treats Moxxie)
Heck, there could have been an interesting idea for an ep where somehow CHERUB and IMP have to team up begrudgingly, and Collin and Moxxie unexpectedly bond/find similarities with each other and don’t want to kill each other that shocks both teams or something. Idk personally I thought it was kinda missed potential.
Yeah, it's disappointing how it never comes up again. Murder Family was full of missed potential that way...a dark premise, a lot of incredibly dark moments, a no holds barred depiction of how ugly both Blitzo and Stolas could be, and plenty of tension for things to come.
And then none of it ever manifested at all.

Tbh I have seen a lot of takes and analysis over eps 7 and 8 and how it could make sense.
I have a sinking feeling it won't.
! Rant follows below:
The writers wanted it to be a rehearsed play in front of the audience for maximum shock and pain factor and didn't think that it doesn't make sense for lestat to be rehearsing for months and not be strong enough to find a way to stop it.
It all started in s01 when they wanted louis to be the one to cut lestat throat because it was more poetic this way (and considered to be justified since the drop) and didn't care that lestat being completely recovered would mean the plot from the book wouldn't work.
Because the plot from the book did make sense. Lestat was injured, armand wanted revenge on lestat and to get louis to himself and get rid of claudia and the coven and hence the mock trial made perfect sense.
This doesn't. The show has made it clear that while armand may lie and manipulate he mostly goes with the flow otherwise why let louis die? Why then go with louis after everything?
The showrunners have said that they don't consider armand to be the villain behind everything and have backed themselves into a corner with that. Book lovers of armand loved him because he was good at being the villain who wanted to be loved no matter what atrocities he committed ( with the choices the show made this now seems to apply more to lestat which is a far cry from book lestat).
There are things that fans speculated for months on, like the torn pages, which were never picked up.
Same way there was a lot of talk on revisiting murder night and lestats words being different and claudia and louis burning lestat but in the trial the murder night was never contradicted from lestat or claudias diaries.
I think rolin and the writers enjoy the campiness and drama too much and the books moral dilemmas and overall sense of gravitas does not interest them as much and the characters tend to suffer for it.
Apologies for the rant but I'm currently re-reading iwtv and tvl and the nonsensical changes have bothered me again 😅
I think we are both far from done with the trial, and the missing pages.
We are far from done with Armand's motivations - or Lestat's.
This show is a puzzle. And I don't think the writers care too much if we find it hard to find the pieces.
And they sometimes make those pieces hard to find, too. I shared a trial script analysis just earlier - there is a page, an important page, that can only be seen in blend-over, almost hidden by Louis' hand. The assholes (affectionate^^).
Armand isn't the villain either in the last books, though he of course is in the first ones. But this show doesn't do black and white, and I don't think the books do either, not really.
This show doesn't like to give answers, it asks questions, and hides the answers within the shifts of the narrative.
Personally I love that, even though I would have preferred a bit more clarity after season 2, as said before. Still.
I think we're far from done.

Can I interest any of you fine folks in a Good Omens Fantasy AU which I'm affectionately naming The Oath AU?
Here there be a vague outline of the some stuff I jotted down earlier about it. It's vague for now but I'm working kn fleshing it out! I'm Working On The Longfic(tm) and possibly other bonus scenes and further adventures of theirs in this world if this hits a mark with folks and people actually read it.
Rambling under the read more! No CW or TWs I don't think...? Let's jump in!
It's DnD style fantasy (but dark, at the risk of sounding Edgy. This ain't the kind of DnD you'd play with a 13 year old cousin, for example. The world is harsh and unkind, and there be monsters in the woods, child. Inspird partly by Discworld, partly by FFXIV, especially the Endwalker expansion, partly by Mtghew Mercer, Exandria and his players and all their side content to do with Exandria, partly by Dungeons and Dragons shenanigans I've had over the years myself, and partly by the worlds Patrick Rothfuss and our beloved Neil Gaiman, amongst other authors i adore, come up with. Its a big mash of inspirations but km hoping to mold it into something coherent. )
Fiendish Blooded Sorceress and Druid Crowley - who can mold their body and appearance from the very essence of the earth and who transcends mortal ideas of gender and presentation, straddling the lines of male and female and both and none. They have appeared as maiden, mother, crone, ancient warlock, youthful child and more besides, giving rise to many rumours about her 'true' heritage.
Human Holy Knight of The Order Aziraphale - who has crusaded for years in the name of his Goddess, only to be faced with a moral dilemma. He was offered a priceless, holy artifact in exchange for a pact with a Devil - this pact, which has left him visibly facially scarred - dictates that he must kil one person, no more or less, for this Devil at a time and palce of the Devil's choosing. Until now, he hasn't been called to do such a thing... And he hopes that the Devil has forgotten about a lowly Soldier Knight such as himself.
Rituals! Sexy and very unsexy ones! There's a lot of this cos I'm exploring my own spirituality lately so. You get a ritual! You get a ritual! Everyone's naked and dancing! There's a fire! It's great! Until it isn't.
Probably Hurt/Comfort AND Whump.
This is an E rated AU bc everything I write has sex in it, but whatever! Maybe some light kink too, but I'll be guided by my muses on this. This is more story than smut anyway - the 'additional scenes' I may do if people like this AU? They'll be dirtier, lol.
I have Pinboards, Playlists soon, and no doubt a buttload of other worldbuildingy bits to come! Along with the fic et al of course. If you're interested I've made a tag on my blog for the AU where I'll try to remember to organise this stuff cos I'm really into this AU and really want to finish a longfic so I want you guys to hold me accountable tbh.
If you're interested, the tag is on this post and it's 'Good Omens Oath AU'. In time I would adore to commission artists for this project of mine, so if you're up for collaborating and will accept payment (I don't do trades usually cos you're worth money! Your time and art is too! But I could maybe be convinced...) I'd love to hear from you!

Group H, Round 5
Tumblr media
Propaganda under the cut
Medea
Her husband divorced her so to get back at him she burned his new bride alive, murdered her own children and casually escaped justice in a chariot pulled by dragons and *made from the sun.* She is iconic and I love her.
propaganda from @apollosgiftofprophecy
Princess with Phenomenal Cosmic Powers, granddaughter of the Titan of the Sun, Helios, and Priestess of Hecate, the literal Goddess of MagicStarts out a classic fairy tale (with a few murders in the mix for flavor)Jason (the man/husband she sacrificed EVERYTHING for) thought it would be totally alright to cheat on his sorceress wife with some princess and - double whammy - he planned to keep Medea as his mistress after he married this random princess! When she confronts him, he shows his true colors as a world-class bastard and she reminds him that he's only still alive, and only completed his quest for the Golden Fleece, because of her. (WHICH IS TRUE)To get back at him, Medea orchestrates the death of said princess (and indirectly the king's too, whoopsies :) ) by sending a beautiful dress for her that was laced with poison that caused the princess to catch on fire, and also killed whoever touched her (the king)She then murders her and Jason's two kids (after some emotional dilemma because she actually cares about them while Jason Does Not) and exits the kingdom In Style - how? Like this:Rises into the air on a golden chariot pulled by dragons given to her by Helios When Jason says the gods with avenge him, she tells him "lol, good luck with that oathbreaker!" and flies off into the night Like A Bossa little more context here: Jason's godly patron was Hera, the literal goddess of family and marriage. And he was going to abandon his children and break his vows to Medea. Also, she never is punished for any of this stuff, meaning her actions have the (reluctant :) always good to be morally gray) approval of the gods. She's one of the only nuanced female characters in Greek Mythology, and by god is she interestingThis, my friends, is why Medea is the ultimate Gaslight, Gatekeep, Girlboss.
Ianthe Tridentarius
She is trying so hard to be the main character by lying and manipulating her sister, her cavalier, her mentor, her ?love interests? (Spoiler???) And also god. Not sure how it's working out for her but she does love to lie and manipulate
Worstie Ianthe is the DEFINITION of gaslight, gatekeep, girlboss. She is one of a set of necromancer twins that are the heirs to their houses rule. Except wait, only she is a necromancer and she has spent their entire lives doing necromancy for the both of them. She is constantly mean to their cavalier, Naberius, who she occasionally nibbles on like a chew toy, before eventually killing and eating him to ascend to sainthood. She goes to gods spaceship with another woman who ascended to sainthood who she has a crush on, this other woman is like…. Both incredibly mentally unwell and also haunted by at least 211 ghosts. Ianthes method of flirting with her? Gaslighting her about the corpse that keeps moving around and hiding under her bed. For no real reason tbh. She is clearly plotting to overthrow god, and at the moment that consists of her manipulating him while he’s too sad about his long term partners betraying him and subsequently exploding to really care. She dresses in terrible outfits and makes soup by burning onions to the bottom of a pot, putting meat in and some vegetables and then it doesn’t taste like anything so she puts in a few teaspoons of salt so it tastes like a few teaspoons of salt. She had her crush amputate her arm and regrow her a new one out of bone and it’s one of the horniest things I’ve read in my life.
"Gaslight = told her lobotomized (she helped), schizophrenic girlobsession that there was no corpse under their bed, even tho there totally was. Gatekeep = girl did NOT share the secret to god-like ascension. She kept that shit to herself until it was time to eat her boytoy, and by then everyone knew already. Girlboss = she has a non-necromancer twin sister, and literally Everyone thinks they r both necromancers because Ianthe is so good at it. She reverse engineered ascending to the aforementioned ascension without even completing any of the supplementary tasks. She held her own in a fight against a 10k year old lyctor. She becomes the figurehead of her entire empire. "
She uses a man as a chewtoy in the first book, literally gaslights the protagonist of the second book about a corpse, and elder-abuses God when he gets depressed in the third book. Nobody is doing it like her.
Dives headfirst with no regrets while basically laughing and covered in blood into murdering her cavalier once she realizes what the gothic locked room mystery/competition leads to while everyone else is questioning it, helps perform lobotomy on harrow so she doesn't remember the person she loves, manipulates everyone to get to the top
idk just everything about her
her relationship with her sister is incredibly Bad, she fosters codependency and views Corona(the sister) as an extension of herself. This does not stop her from keeping up the con that Corona actually has magic (She doesn't, it was always just Ianthe) for 22ish years and every single person who interacts with them falls for it. She killed a man against his will (most dying for this purpose specifically go willingly) and she consumed him and she will be burning his soul for eternity. She's completely repulsive and still somehow incredibly hot.
she takes advantage of the fact that the main character is prone to hallucinations. at one point she gaslights the mc into believing that the corpse under her bed isn't real just because she can. she reverse engineered a set of very complex trials on her own without anyone realizing she had the skills to complete them normally. she's also babysat god through his drunk and pathetic era.

Joshua Graham and God (and/or Dog) 👀👀
Tumblr media Tumblr media
left, josh. right, dog/god
my take on joshua graham is complicated in that i think he’s by far an excellently written character and undeniably one of the only objectively good parts of the awful dumpsterfire that honest hearts is. but the fandom treatment of him as some morally grey babygirl makes me want to rip my hair out. joshua graham is a BAD PERSON. and from my memory a lot of the stuff he says is rlly hypocritical but tbh i don’t remember enough of honest hearts to list specifics. either way i think watering down his worse qualities strips him of what makes his character interesting. i also think a lot of the fandom is wayyyy too quick to brush off the fact he was in the legion 😭😭😭 tldr: i like joshua graham as a character but not in That Way. i would fight him if i saw him on the streets.
dog/god… so underrated. there is so much to say abt him (them?) and the variety of ways dead money can go depending on your treatment of him and which personality you choose to utilise. (which is something dead money does so well with all its characters imo… i love that you can lock yourself out of the ‘everybody lives’ ending by PASSING a skill check w dean.. that’s so clever and super sneaky) i also really like a lot of the conversations you can have with god- i really enjoy the scene in the kitchen where you’re able to merge both parts together even though god acknowledges he can’t help you anymore if this happens, i think it’s a really interesting moment that can offer a rlly interesting moral dilemma for the player- do you make the game easier for yourself, or do you earn an extra ally in the final battle despite it coming at the expense of a character who has generally been good to you so far? sorry omfg dead money brainrot taking over. i love dead money so much u guys ☹️☹️☹️☹️

slight veilguard spoilers but im not that far in:
tbh idk how much I rlly care about that little slideshow of the past antagonists and it being implied that a lot of it was old elvhen god influence for their actions. Honestly i'm fine with it in da2 with the idol and with meredith, especially with all the weird magic that's stained into kirkwall. (ancient god fuckery there does not surprise me).
But specifically I don't think I like that implication with loghain. I think the moral dilemma of how he abandoned his post- whether he was actually right or wrong about doing so had led to some pretty interesting fan discussions. Especially when it comes from his own human decisions, with how it was his best friends son and his daughters husband, and yet he still chose to abandon him anyway. Whether it was just a political move or if he really thought he would just be needlessly slaughtering his men. I think by then turning around and making it ancient god influence... makes it way less compelling

🍒 and 🍍?
🍒 What’s your favorite character dynamic to write? (Can be romantic or platonic, specific or general!)
hmmm I'm bad when it comes to naming things
like i can think of some commonalities between my ships but not much that's super punchy and easy
like i love the Puppy Crush to future relationship pipeline
also when like there are moral dilemmas in the ship for one reason or another that affects how one side acts
like this pops up a lot in Percy ships for me i love the whole "god i want to kiss you/be close to you but i shouldn't I'm looking out for you by denying myself what i want and sometimes even lying to myself out right about wanting it at all" kind of vibe
I also really like it when the side struggling with that does give in and seeing how they decide rationalize it
"it's fine because we're soulmates, because we could die any day, because it's only for their birthday, because we're being so careful "
it just makes my brain go kldsjfkldsa jkgleqagjeorljl;ga
also Obsessed x Obsessed is always a really good time
as is Energetic x Calm
🍍 What kind of AUs do you like? Are there any AUs you hate or just generally have beef with?
Soulmates!! that's like the biggest one for me I'm just so weak to a good soulmate au i know some people think it's a cop out but it's such an easy way to make a ship happen when it otherwise would never happen which imo is the best use for them
i don't see much of the point in soulmate aus where it could easily happen at that time without it being a soulmate au
which is why I'm not super into like Perciver in them without it being a Perciver+1 situation
like i lean heavy towards like obv Perclin but also Harry/Percy Draco/Percy and like Alastor or Remus with Percy when it comes to soulmates i just find it more interesting
i also think it's a really good au for when you want something different but not too different it's easy to throw on top of HP and just go yeah that's just a thing happening and always has been
I also feel hp because of the way it's already set up is fun with them because i can easily see bs laws being put in place that are neat to play with
one of my favorites is like Soulmates being considered one in a way making it where you can't like abduct your soulmate in the eyes of the law(or even magic itself which has added fun of being able to take someone's place during like the Triwizard Cup or similar because it considers you the same person)
i'm also into like omegaverse but im a bit picky with them kfajsdf
hate is a strong word
i can't really think of anything i just outright hate on principle muggle aus can be ok sometimes though with Percy as my fav writing them can feel kind of weird to me because i still don't know a good event to cause him to leave his family but also still feel like he has too or it's not really him it's hard to think of something bad enough to get him to leave without being so bad its ooc for the other Weasleys or so bad i wouldn't want him to go back
fics where everyone lives is also something that I'm not too big on personally having one or two people live and seeing what changes is really fun but tbh i think the deaths are neat and bring fun things so unless the character in question is needed for the plot id rather them stay dead and play with the dynamics that causes unless it's Lavender I'm on the Lavender didn't die rock and no one can move me she was maimed but she's fine scarred but fine

[fandom literate rp ad] i'm back in my hunger games phase, don't @ me
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
just when i thought it couldn't get any worse from rewatching the trilogy, i have now fallen back into the pits of panem after watching songbirds and snakes tonight… sorry in advance friends 🤡
heyo! my name is talia! i'm a 24yo female in EST timezone! former theatre kid, wannabe author, just a silly lil guy tbh. i'm looking for, you guessed it, hunger games fandom rp! this is a specific craving and i'll admit fandom rp is not my forte so i may not follow the "norm" oops. i just want to find a collaborative partner who really vibes and can be a friend to build an amazing story with in this universe! 🧡
does that sound like you so far? cool, cool, lets proceed
🏹 rp style and looking for: 🏹
daily/weekly replies, i have a lot of availability as of right now
18+ writers, character ages will have to be discussed due to the fandom canon, but just dont be creepy gdi
third person, past tense
literate to novella replies. i can go anywhere from 2 paragraphs to exceeding nitro count, depending on scene needs and inspo. quality > quantity tho!
romance is a must. m/m and m/f couples are my preference!
OCs only! canon charas can be discussed but not as mains. i also don't double and i don't do canon/oc couples, i'm sorry ya'll i know this is a deal breaker for some
obsessed with faceclaims, pinterest boards, spotify playlists, an organized and fun server, literally give me all the aesthetics and let me fangirl i am in desparate need
no SFW limits, i'm an open book and probably too desensitized
NSFW-wise, i am like 20/80 in terms of smut/plot. i am totally fine fading to black, i am fine to write it as long as it fits and serves a purpose, but i dont do erp and i don't focus on it as a necessity to a story
ghost friendly, if it isnt a vibe it isnt a vibe. if we are an amazing fit then you will be stuck with me forever but i'm just a stranger on the internet as of right now so no hard feelings
not a canon nut, so open to changing or expanding as we want. someone open to not be a stickler for every canon detail would be cool, obvi we will follow it but i'm ok to add or adjust as we decide!
OOC chatter is a requirement, i am someone who wants to be your friend. idk how some of ya'll just be writing and not being annoying OOC i cannot do it
due to preference and previous experience, i am currently only looking for femme/afab writers, i hope you understand :)
🏹 HEAR ME OUT HEAR ME OUT: 🏹
OCs before katniss era, childhood friends then one moves districts and they get reaped and reconnect
mentor/OC relationship (a younger mentor who won when they were far too young and are now mentoring their best friend from childhood after abandoning them?)
our own spin on canon with OCs implanted into the original trilogy story, like a spinoff of sorts?
capitol x district or peacemaker x district
ensemble casts are ok too im vv open!
tbh i would love to write our own hunger games and include some canon cameos and make our own arena and have a beautifully tragic story and cast, gimme all the darkness and angst and violence and tragedy and moral dilemmas and deep character bonds and impossible happy endings and fights and spectacle just - we can do it, that's all i'm sayin' 👀
i've attached my writing sample below! despite the casual OOC, i promise that if we're a good fit, our stories will be full of nothing but effort and a mild obsession/hyperfixation ✨
contact stuff 📱
if you are srs please reach out over discord. i do not check tumblr enough i'm the worst so i would love to get notifs bahaha my username is: muppetmania
i'm a lil picky (and full of anxiety) so please tell me youre from tumblr, a bit about yourself, your rp style, what interests you about this, and a writing sample ofc, that would be so gucci of you i will give you a big hug 🥰
may the odds be ever in your favor or whateva whistling sounds

do you have any fic recs? just like, your favorites from any fandom (ㆁωㆁ)
Yeah yeah ofc! Here are some of my favs (basing this on fics I reread most often, aside from a few I've just recently discovered and really enjoyed mostly just cuz I haven't had the time to reread them multiple times yet haha). Also this got long holy shit.... But ye, here's some fics I really enjoy!
Demon Slayer
Don't Forget to Breathe: Starting off with one of my favorite Renkaza long fics. Akaza makes an appearance slightly early at the Mugen train, and Enmu manages to use his Blood Demon Art on him. Kyojuro is dragged into the dreams with him, leaving both of them to relive Akaza's past memories. It... changes a lot. Featuring one of my all time favorite explorations of Akaza vs Hakuji and how he is both and also neither, butterfly girl Akaza, and (spoilers) eventual demon Kyojuro. Absolutely amazing fic, the only thing that kept me going during the great car disaster of 2022 colors beneath my eyelids: Renkaza, specifically a soulmate AU but with a heavy, heavy emphasis on Kyojuro and Akaza's internal struggles. It's such a good slow burn, and has some of my all time favorite Akaza characterization. Watching Kyo and Akaza's relationship develop so painstakingly slowly is such a delight. The prose itself is also extremely detailed and vivid, a fantastic writing style that's easy to get sucked into. It's one I've only read recently, but it's already on my list of things to reread as soon as I can! If I Don't Know, It Won't Burn: A Renkaza one-shot from Senjuro's point of view. He overhears Kyojuro being way more friendly than he should be with a demon, which leads to... a rather strained conversation between them. Tbh I always love when Renkaza fics also work with Senjuro, and I always think his thoughts and feelings on Akaza and his relationship with Kyo are really interesting. This fic is a great example of that! no other shade of blue: Renkaza, and a demon Kyojuro AU. Kyojuro awakens as a demon with no memories of his life or who he is, but he does have Akaza to take care of him. Akaza tells him some about the past, but not enough, and it isn't long before Kyojuro starts to notice all the cracks and realize that things aren't adding up between them. Once again, great dynamic and digs really heavily into characterization. Made me tear up and almost start crying while I was waiting in line at the polls lmfao Memories behind broken glass: A Renkaza AU where the Corps decides to capitalize on how predictable Akaza has become due to his fixation on Kyojuro. An ambush is set for him and he's captured to be used as a test subject for Shinobu's poisons. Lots of graphic gore, human experimentation, and medical torture joined with moral dilemmas and a lot of guilt for Kyojuro, and Akaza slowly unraveling both mentally and physically due to the extreme strain. It was like catnip to me. Iirc this was a fic I stayed up way too late reading and then had to go to work on like four hours of sleep baby teeth in the bedside table: A post-canon, Sanemi-centric one-shot. Basically it's a study of his struggle with grief and doing his best to move on after everything. One of the first Sanemi fics I read, and still a favorite
My Hero Academia
My Whole Life For Yours: Post-canon, canon-divergent (obviously, haha) Togachako. Upon giving Ochako her blood, their quirks get mixed up, leaving both of them to swap appearances. After the battle, "Himiko" is declared dead, while "Ochako" survives. Years later, Himiko is still living life as Ochako, but starts to find evidence that "Himiko" (Ochako) never died and the HPSC took her and hid her existence for unknown reasons. God this fic.... I could go on about it for ages, it's genuinely so fucking good. I was reading this fic in the middle of a fucking concert I was so invested in it. The concept is already insane, but the character work?? God. Obviously such a messy situation hinging on hidden identities would depend on that character work, and man it fucking delivers. Plus complicated, slow burn, high key kinda fucked up femslash? Yeah cannot recommend enough Help, I Catfished the Former League of Villains Leader: A Shigaraki/Natsuo post-canon crack fic that is... exactly what it sounds like. Natsuo gets into an online rpg and decides to play with a female avatar, happens to meet Shigaraki (without knowing it's Shigaraki) and they end up getting close but by that point it feels weird for Natsuo to reveal he's actually a guy. Whoops. Things only get worse when he realizes the guy he's ended up friends with is.... fucking Tomura Shigaraki. Definitely a very silly fic, but if they're funny, I'm willing to give crack fics a lot of leeway, and imo this one has earned it haha. Fuck Your Homophobic Boss's Daughter: Another crack fic, which is Burnin/Fuyumi. As the title implies, Burnin learns that Endeavor is wildly homophobic, so she decides to fuck his daughter about it. 10/10, great concept, funny, good smut, fun character work, highly recommend The King and his Rogue: Something of a Dabi/Shigaraki character study post the battle in Deika. I enjoy how fucked up emotionally Dabi and Shigaraki are, in the sense that they just can't really grapple with this sort of thing. I just really like the Dabi and Shigaraki relationship in general, the inherent intimacy of a leader and his second in command. You get it
Bleach
(no) more rain: Essentially a big Ichigo character study, specifically going into how fucked up his entire existence is when you really think about it, as well as how the way he grew up would more realistically affect him, you know, with the seeing spirits and believing he killed his mom and all that. Also some nice exploration of the relationships between the Karakura Gang, which is always nice Cat Dandy: After the war against the Quincies, Grimmjow regresses back into an adjuchas, and Nel tells everyone he died, because, well, he might as well have. Later, he seeks out Ichigo hoping he will essentially put him out of his misery. But Ichigo has also been coping horribly, and decides to keep this giant cannibal ghost cat because why not? Cue lots of messy identity struggles as well as character relationships as Grimmjow is forced to watch Ichigo be a mess while Ichigo has no idea it's Grimmjow
Jujutsu Kaisen
Moral Indignation: Basically an entire fic of Itafushikugi being incredibly jealous and lowkey kind of possessive of one another. There's not much more to say than that but I greatly enjoy when Itafushikugi is kinda insane for each other. What can I say? metamorphosis (we are all human-shaped): A collection of really neat little snippets about how jujutsu sorcerers start looking more than human in relation to their cursed techniques if you squint hard enough. Very neat concept and execution! only flesh and blood to give: A (high key) fucked up fic with a huge emphasis on graphic gore and body horror about how awful being the vessel of a curse like Sukuna would actually be... Lots of psychological torture for Yuuji (and, well, some physical, aforementioned gore) as well as equally fucked up Sukuna (though he is enjoying it a lot more). Love fics that actually dig into what a bad situation Yuuji is in, as well as when Sukuna capitalizes on it how he can live a long life (with me): The higher ups execute Yuuji as planned, but Megumi and Nobara can't bring themselves to let him go, and they all curse each other. Itafushikugi then go on the run, Nobara and Megumi as curse users, and Yuuji is their big curse bf. Tbh good for them, I think they should be allowed to go crazy, go stupid sometimes
Chainsaw Man
Contract of Remembrance: A canon-divergent gen fic focused on Denji and Power's relationship. Everything unfolded as it did canonically with Makima, but after that, Power is able to get out of Hell. However... she remembers nothing of her previous life, including Denji. Cue Denji desperately trying to befriend her and grappling with the existential crisis of if this is the Power he once knew and if he should let her go. Tbh I don't normally go for canon-divergent csm fic. The story is just too tight to really allow for much of it to be satisfying imo, but this one is much more heavily focused on Denji and Power's relationship rather than anything plotty, and I love the way said relationship is written, so highly recommend! it feels better biting down: A one-shot focused on Quanxi and her relationship with her fiends. Not much to say, it's fairly straight forward but a wonderful read nonetheless. The Quanxi fic writers always know exactly what they're doing
Genshin Impact
devour her own: Yae Miko/Sara Kujo/Ei smut with a heavy emphasis on Miko being a brat and getting put in her place. 10/10

my very correct TVD opinions now that i've finished S3 😃☝️
protags
Elena - I waffle between how much I like her and am annoyed by her, LOL, but given how much she herself waffles, that seems fair 😆 She's definitely at her best when she's providing a moral baseline (like "we can't kill all vampires just bc they're vampires, even if they do eat us humans"). It's interesting that her flaw is being indecisive bc (in her mind/words) making a decision means cutting off an avenue forever!! Which is most obvious in the whole Stefan-or-Damon dilemma... Yet she's also much too eager to sacrifice her own life... In many ways she's still the girl who preferred spending time among the dead at the cemetery instead of w her friends, back in S1E1 ;_; It's also really cool that she has a built-in foil who literally looks exactly like her – Elena being afraid to choose a brother bc choosing one means losing the other and Katherine refusing to choose a brother bc having the two wrapped around her finger means having power over them... Very interesting stuff...
Stefan - Bro I love Stefan 😭😭😭 S3 Stefan had me like 😃 though... I was not a fan of all the ~Rippah Era~ stuff, not bc it was character assassination but tbh it was just cringe LMAO and it was very obvious that he'd eventually regain control and come to his senses so the stakes didn't feel all that high lol 😆 He's so romantic and empathetic :') and I will admit that it was interesting to see that his grip on his control (for all his talk!!) was rly not that strong ;_; Seeing his ideals/hopes crumble against his reality was quite sad...
Damon - S1 Damon feels very different from S3 Damon LMAO which I think is partly character growth (watching Damon accept his propensity for care... chefs kiss 😩💗) and partly the writers leaning into Dalena and walking back some of Damon's darker tendencies LOL... Which I don't mind, I am very much NOT a fan of his eagerness to hypnotize/mind control women 😐👎 (tho i do acknowledge that that's classic vampire behavior lol) Anyway his instances of vulnerability do make me go 😱😱😭😭❤️❤️ so I am not immune to his charms LOL
Caroline - I LOVE CAROLINE!!! I'VE LOVED HER SINCE S1 IDC THAT SHE WAS "BITCHY"!!! (she was really just a normal teenage girl...) She has a lot of self-awareness and selflessness, and a lightness that some of the other characters have lost just bc they've all gone thru so much ;_; I love her relationship w Tyler in S2, when they were both new to the whole supernatural thing... Also she's such a badass!!! Love her combat scenes, even if she gets kidnapped more often than not haha
Bonnie - BONNIE 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗 most OP character on the show - her powers are limited only by what the writers can think of / what the narrative requires 😳 (aka Atom Eve vibes) She is such a badass, and I love how even tho she's tired and sometimes frightened of her potential, she always steps up to help her friends ;_; Also - maybe controversial, but I love that she went behind everyone's backs to preserve Klaus, just to see if she could 😳 Watching her embrace her magic/powers and start pushing limits is really cool!!! I will forever stan idc❤️
antags
Klaus - LMFOAKAKDJWKDAAO I waver btwn wanting to punch him and laughing hysterically at him he is so silly. Literally the definition of wet and pathetic. He's like a tiny shaking lapdog that got dunked in lukewarm bathwater
Rebekah - She's a girlboss and I will always support women's wrongs 💗💗
others
Elijah - One of the hottest characters on the show idc he's giving paladin (HONOR 😩😩 OATHS 😩😩😩 ANGST 😩😩) and I am here for it ❤️
Katherine - Can she please fall off a cliff or something she is so annoying and cruel 😭
Alaric - Nothingburger. Bland. Middle-aged white man. Whatever
Jeremy - His actor is SO cute but his character is so "???" LOL I hated that he technically cheated on Bonnie after SHE BROUGHT HIM BACK FROM THE LITERAL DEAD!! but I did love his relationship with Anna so ;_; win some, lose some...
Matt - He has been through too much, just let him leave town and go to college PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE 😭
Tyler - HIS ACTOR... HOTTIE ALERT!!! Tyler is just doing his best ;_; His S3 plot was ACTUALLY diabolical, and then he gets inhabited by Klaus for the start of S4?????? How much more does he need to suffer????? Let him and Caroline enjoy being ultra powerful young adult supernatural creatures of the night hullo
anyway none of these people look/act like high schoolers LMFAO why couldn't they be in junior college or smth 😭🤦🏻‍♀️ it literally would barely change the plot LOLLL just have them be involved in more community activities instead of organizing prom and whatnot 🫠
my ideal endgame ships:
Damon x Elena - Their chemistry is excellent and I think Ghost!Rose was right... They're different enough that they're able to push one another's boundaries/perspectives 👀
Klaus x Caroline - I am not immune, he's sometimes hot yea 😔 He's cringe but his speech about whisking her away from the bubble of her smalltown life was 😳👀 And he's right tbh!!! She has so much time now, and so much to experience!! I think she and Tyler are good for one another in this stage of her life, but maybe not for the whole of it...
Stefan x Bonnie - Idk I see the vision 😳 I think they have a lot of potential in that they're both very mature/serious people w a lot of power at their fingertips, and they both try and fail to regulate their own power... Also witches and vampires being natural enemies... slay !! 🙈
jeremy and matt just need to get out of all of this before they die (again)
Matt x Rebekah is cute tho
And lowkey why did Jeremy and Tyler have chemistry back in S1 when they were each dating Vicki LMAO 🙈 let's bring that back...
