#didnt mean to do this one in quote unquote colour but it wasnt legible without it so. heres a treat i suppose #isat #isat spoilers #in stars and time #in stars and time fanart #isat fanart #isat loop #isat bonnie #lucabyteart #coughs up a lung. anyway. ramble time as per usual. this is what i was warming up for btw in case it wasnt obvious #besides being another entry in the 'letting bonnie read loop for filth on accident' series. this is mostly self indulgent musings on #headcanons (and i will just use that word here.) ive previously rambled about in other tags and posts #namely: in the scenario that loop integrates into the party as a New Person for quite a while before The Truth Come Out. i feel they have #a decent chance at really scoring a slam dunk in becoming a guardian figure for bonnie? loop's demeanor is already colder and a tiny #bit more level-headed than siffrin's in the way they seem to discuss bonnie with them. namely pointing out that bonnie #never really hated them. it seems to be one thing they're genuinely at peace with? they've seen by now the truth that bonnie #was just scared and upset. and likely now knows that what bonnie wants is to be treated with grown-up respect within reason. plus loop #already scores bonus points with bonnie since they didnt 1. fuck up bad like sif did in act 5 and 2. saved sif in the party's eyes #... but then when it turns out that this clean-slate relationship with a stranger was siffrin being deceitful? must have been odd.#bonnie seems to really dislike being lied to. the question is whether they'd see it that way? would they feel betrayed there?#anyway. this is set after all those emotions are at least settled some. loop able to be more physically affectionate... and yet #still not letting themselves be quite as close as they'd like perhaps. perhaps...#anyway translucent pyjamas because i dont care if you're comforting a crying child you've GOT to SERVE!!!#and also i feel like the party probably wouldn't let loop stay completely naked for that long. especially not post-reveal anyway

#I'm still waiting for the formal offer letter but let me tell you how i got this job #a hiring manager reached out to me on LinkedIn asking if I'd be interested in the team he's building #so i was like yeah I'll throw my hat in #i had an easy coding screen with him (valid palindrome lol)#then i had a screen with another manager around QA practices #then i went through four more interviews as part of a 'final loop'#one was a more difficult coding question. one was design a test framework. one was QA-behavorial #and the other was communication + collab behavorial #each of those six interviews was a 45 minute video call btw #this all took like. three months lmfao #then a week after that i heard back that they didn't want me for that role #but that one of the guys i interviewed with is a hiring manager on an adjacent team and he really liked me #when i looked back at my notes sure enough that guy is the one who ended our call with 'i hope i get to work with you!' lol #so they wanted to put me for this other slightly less technical role #and i was like yeah sure why not i liked that guy too lol #so the next day i had one final interview with a senior leader asking about my priorization and conflict resolution skills #which makes sense since this is a more cross-functional communication role with lots of talking to developers #and that guy was awesome and definitely someone I'd work for #so a few days later i got the verbal offer!#i will also add that during all of this i also went to the final stage for a different team at the same company #but was plain out rejected from that one lol #plus i did beginning screens for two other roles as well and didnt make it as far #all this to say i did like... over a dozen interviews with this company since October lol #and i studied like CRAZY. i spent hours on leetcode and hours putting together stories from my experience #i worked very very very hard and it finally fucking paid off!!!!!#back in october i said to my wife 'i want to get a job at (company). i think that will be my goal now.'#and she was like lol ok. but i kept getting interviews and studying for them #working harder than i ever did in college even lmao. and she was like oh wait you're really serious #and then she helped me sooooo much by taking care of the kids while i studied and stuff like that #but yeah i did it. i put my mind to it and i fucking did it!!!!!

Ignore all logistical considerations of "would they ever meet each other under these circumstances". If you don't think Jules Bashir would have chosen to join Starfleet, imagine he is on the station for some other reason, or they meet in some other location.

I wanted to make this poll because I've seen various fics where Garak reassures Julian that far from being upset over him being augmented, Garak is grateful for it, either explicitly because (he thinks) they wouldn't be able to have their usual conversations if it weren't for the augmentations, or simply because he likes Julian "just the way he is" and wouldn't want him to be "different". I disagree that Garak would think like this (or at the very least, I think Julian would react negatively if he did, rather than be reassured), so I wanted to hear everyone else's thoughts.

So glad you've asked, dear anon!! I too am a Benrey fan, though I can't say I even come close to rivaling Sapph (the beta reader, in case you don't know) and their love for that silly little guy. Sorry why does this sound like a villain monologue?

To actually answer your question, in as vague terms as possible so as to not spoil: There will in fact be more than just mentions >:) The main 4 (OG, Mind, Martini, and Gorgeous) will get AT LEAST ONE silly from their universe each to play a much more major role than just being like, a background easter egg mentioned to get you guys excited. I am a big fan of stories with huge casts and I feel like this will either shine through very well for this fic or just make the plot get progressively more confusing, but I'm having fun and hopefully you're having fun so who cares honestly?

i remember it used to be a bit of a fandom pet peeve of mine that some people would forget that the gung ho guns and eye of michael were two separate groups with some membership overlap but then stampede came along and made the eom into a project of conrad’s backed by knives. another example of how the reboot feels like bad fanfiction.

#the eom worked best as a predominantly shadowy unknown group most closely tied to wolfwood and LR’s stories #i LIKED that we didn’t know who ran it or what their broader goals were outside of what contact they had with knives/the ghg #extradiagetically nightow just didn’t need to explore the eom in detail. they served their narrative purpose.#but i also find stories that try too hard to ask you bonus questions with overexplained answers to be very lame #so while prestampede it was kinda annoying but ultimately excusable to see ghg/eom used interchangeably #the new show cemented it them as interlinked in a way that actually made the story structure much weaker in an attempt to get ahead of you #this is all very much a critique of mine from the perspective of a writer not just a viewer btw #bad writing isn’t always enough to kill something yk. but plot holes are harder to excuse when your themes and structure are lacking #the manga’s Foundations were just much stronger than the reboot’s if you will #you can turn your brain off with this show and just watch the pretty colors if you want. absolutely no shame in that. we need that stuff #i guess i just struggle to accept a no brainer show like this as being another core leg of the story in the way trimax/98 are bc of it #pretentious of me i know.#stampede critical #for my followers that filter it

going to start this post with the fact that im not trying to be a hater right now im just genuinely confused . anyway. the thing about sonic and shadow is that i dont think its a bad ship or that its entirely baseless or that their relationship is meaningless or anything like that. my feelings on so/nadow are complicated but i do like it to a degree . but i also feel like people are exaggerating how much is there in terms of canon backing for the ship (at least in the franchise overall if we're talking sonic prime specifically that makes more sense but prime is also like the spiders georg of so/nadow). like they have their moments but i dont think its as frequent a thing as people act like it is (again at least not in the games/comics) . like theyre just not as close or as obviously in love in the actual source material as some people seem to think they are ..??? some of the stuff i see being passed around as so/nadow moments is just them existing in the same frame .. ??? im not even saying its wrong to ship them or make them be in love in the headcanon sonic universe that exists in your head or whatever i just think that saying its basically canon is a huge stretch and idk what people are seeing between them that im not . sorry please dont get madat me. scampers away like a frightened little animal

obviouslyyyy its none of my business and i dont even know these people and anyone can change their mind for any reason. but it does weird me out when someone is loudly childfree (as a personal/political statement) and then gets married and has a kid 😩 like there was one youtuber i watched occasionally for a DECADE, and i liked her q&a videos a lot. and every single time she would include the "are you and your longterm partner planning to have kids" question and she would get offended and say why do ppl keep asking me this, if you follow me youd know we arent interested in that kind of life, stop asking etc etc. they got married and bought a house and she had a tour video and in it she complained how her neighbors asked if they were planning kids or commented that the yard was perfect for kids and she scoffed and said its never going to happen and it makes her happy to not live "as a standard young married couple"....AND THEN WITHIN MONTHS SHE POSTED HER PREGNANCY REVEAL VIDEO 😭 GIRL BLINK TWICE ?!?!

watching this show in the way i am (with my friend who has an encyclopedic knowledge of it but REFUSES to give me spoilers) is soooooooo fun bc the way i’m assessing what might happen going forward is so funny… like. did he successfully kill himself? probably. will he be brought back in some other form AGAIN? maybe. could his bitch ass actor cope with not being as involved? probably not. <— reassess point “will he be brought back in some other form AGAIN?” to likely. is my friend blatantly lying to me by saying that he’s permanently dead? very possibly.
