All That's Left follows two journalists and their friends in post-apocalyptic United States as they travel from the fallen east coast megalopolis Opportunity back to Los Angeles, crossing through a harsh wasteland overrun with zombies— only to find out that there is a lot more life left than what the protected cities want them to believe. i updated a week ago lol what is ur frame of reference for “slower updates”…like i get that i’ve been updating more slowly than when i originally started posting the fic but ive still been posting consistently 1-2 times a month for like the past 6 months and i regularly answer questions abt the fic on this blog + talk abt my plans 4 it so i’m not really sure why you’d be worried abt it getting abandoned.

Thinking about how I have a masquerade planned for RTQ, but there's not nearly enough mask cc for me to do it justice....

I've downloaded every masquerade mask I've ever come across (which isn't very many), but a lot of them don't fit the vibes and/or are poorly made (very pixelated, etc.). So I guess I just have to hope that by the time I make it to the end of Act 2 there will be more masquerade masks that people have made.

While I was mooching off the Onsen's heat, I met someone else who was simply visiting the moutain- Savannah! I swear she looks super familiar but I can't place it. Anyway, she told me her summer had been really hot but had fizzled out (lame). A friend of hers told her that it'd be good to "get away from it all." ANYWAY I filled her in on all the stuff I'd found that was hella fun to do around town. We're gonna go on a hike tomorrow to try to find one of them forest spirits! I believe in us.

Man, today was absolutely mental. I don’t think I’ve ever come so close to losing it with a customer

#‘which customer’ you ask. well first there was rude ice cream man #he came in… i want to say before noon? i think it was before we became absolutely inundated #and he was MAD rude for what #he was buying like 4 ice creams so he def had kids with him and was a frustrated father or uncle or grandpa or hired babysitter or whatever #but DUUUUUUDE. there’s no need to give me the blank ☹️ face and ignore all of my questions and exchange zero pleasantries #then there was the lady whose phone died and she couldn’t pay and she was so nice but why. why #like of course i can’t just let you have this stuff. it could be theft. my manager put her stuff in a fridge and then she came back for it #later and i had to go find it and it was so much #she was so nice though i hope she’s well #THEN there was the motherfucker who was buying… i can’t remember what but his total was £5.35 #and i remember this because he was trying to insist on paying for it with exactly three (3) £1 (£1) coins. like sir. that doesn’t work.#that’s not enough. i Could Not get it through his head that i couldn’t take cash unless he gave me at least £2.35 more #eventually i managed to get a contactless card payment out of him and he grumbled about how he was going to have to carry these three pound #coins around with him (ohhhh my god what a hardship 🙄) and about how money was leaving his bank account #like idk how to tell you this but we serve overpriced food here sir. if £5.35 leaving your bank account is a big problem for you you picked #the wrong place to come. also like. you could’ve just. spent only £3 lmao. you had two items #the retail section def sells stuff that’s £3… you didn’t have to do this. like at all. and i’d be happier if you hadn’t #THEN my coworker decided to let two fucking customers in after we closed and they both wanted machine coffees and they took SO long #the one guy had admittedly been queuing just before we closed but the woman just rocked up solidly five minutes too late and was like ‘i’ve #come so far :( it’s been such a long journey :( i just need any coffee :(‘#i REALLY wanted to say ‘fuck your journey and fuck your coffee. plan better’ but instead i had to make an americano #i don’t think i even tried to hide how mad i was #like hiiiii i know you don’t care but this is my life. this is taking time away from me being able to clean down for the closing shift #which is going to take time out of my life because i’m only paid until five #i know you don’t care that i’ll have to do unpaid work but like. here’s your fucking coffee. lol #there was also this other guy and i can’t remember what he did or said but i remember i was passive-aggressively sugary sweet with him #because it was the only way i could let my annoyance out. i love being sarcastically nice in this job because they can’t call you on it #or they look crazy #in summary i had a fucking day. thanks for asking #personal

What I always fail to consider when I create my absolutely realistic to-do lists and plans is the fact that I'm just. So so tired

#either i am a giant cry baby or there is something wrong with me #(in this house we ignore chronic lack of sleep and other unhealthy lifestyle decisions and questionable dietary choices and habits #that has absolutely nothing to do with my feeling of utter exhaustion #this feeling of malaise is completely beyond my control #no but fr i think i would feel 90% better had i slept 1 more hour last night #idk how i survived the first 3 months of this year where i was getting 3 hours on average #i had at least 4.5 hours last night and i feel like dying lmao #had to lie back down this morning after finishing my preparation for the seminar and doing some yoga because i felt like passing out #but i went to class and it was actually okay today and i didn't faint and i even contributed something #amazing #(i mean we were forced to say something but i did say more than the bare minimum so i think that's an absolute win)#uh anyway i need to work for 2 hours and then study korean and do my homework and realistically that's gonna take 4 hours at least #and i need to prepare for my seminar on Thursday which realistically also takes at least 4-5 hours because I'm so fucking slow #and technically i need to work and catch up with my other 2 courses which would require 2 hours a day #and i need to write my stupid term paper from last semester but i haven't even found a topic yet and i need to prepare my stupid #presentation for one seminar and then start working on the term paper for that as well and then start working on the term paper for my #other seminar and then #I'm just way too overwhelmed lol- idk how people manage life. i feel like a rotten corpse all the time and don't even do anything #i need to clean and do laundry and take out the trash and do the dishes and do laundry and write emails and #i just wanna sleep ahahah #ok I'll stop complaining now. I know how much other people do all the time and my workload is nothing in comparison.#i just like to be dramatic #void screams
