something about how atsushi is such a clear parallel of odasaku. something about how dazai has only ever opened up to atsushi. something about how atsushi is the only one who takes his suicidal antics seriously. something about how atsushi has never doubted his goodness or humanity. something about how he trusts dazai so fully and so blindly. something about how atsushi always assumes the absolute best of him— and is probably the first to ever do so.

I have a lot of thoughts about this new Wanpre episode but one of them is how much I adore Satoru and Mayu’s friendship. They’re so gentle with each other and kind. I can see real life friend dynamics when I look at them. Satoru is always kind to everyone but he always reassures Mayu (like in Episode 20 when she’s worried Iroha is mad at her) and while Mayu teases him about his crush on Iroha (tease isn’t the right word, prods maybe, I don’t know if there is an existing word that describes what she does. I call it ‘a girl who reads a lot of Shoujo and cares about her friends) she is genuinely very considerate and gives him a space to talk about it openly. And I think they’re so sweet.

Y’all ever think about how Bi-Han was never seen without Kuai Liang and they’ve probably always been like this? Yeah, Bi-Han is older but once Kuai Liang was born, there was never a Bi-Han without Kuai Liang. Kuai Liang would just sit in Bi-Han’s room and even if Bi-Han told him to get out, he’d never actually do anything to make him leave. They always trained together. Ate together. Kuai Liang would be the only one who could reel him in when Bi-Han was getting way too aggressive towards people. Bi-Han isn’t all cuddly but he checks in with Kuai Liang when he’s injured and notices if he’s acting funny. They’re always near each other. They’re each other’s person.

But now they’re not. They’re going from being around each other all the time to never being around each other unless they’re fighting and more than likely, they’re gonna have to kill the other.

Remembering watching Sabo fight Fujitora and the other vice admiral with my roomie and being like. “Haha, he won’t kill that vice admiral guy. Crushing his skull is way too brutal!” Then he just kept squeezing that man’s skull and I just slow turned to my roomie and was like. “Right?” And she just kinda blank stared at me, and when I turned back to the screen his crazy ass was smiling.

Then I found out he just happened across his brother’s (who he has known in person for like a quarter of a day since he remembered) toenails to make him a vivre card. And it dawned on me that oh! He’s insane and unstable actually!

I know they don't really interact much but look at them!! Lucio is so excited to hear about Cassidy's home is is just excited that Cassidy is a cowboy in general. While Cassidy compliments Lucio's home specifically siting one of the things associated with him, he's a DJ, he's going to be associated with parties!

I want them to interact more please!!
