WHY DID THEY SHOW EDDIE WATCHING BUCK REPEL DOWN THE CLIFF?! Choices and so early on too 😩

I'm assuming you're talking about this gifset I reblogged. Honestly I think that Eddie was supposed to be queer from the beginning. I know people think Buck was but I'm not sure if that was necessarily the writers intention. It might have been Oliver's intention to play him that way, I can't remember what he said word for word but I think it was something about how he's always seen Buck as bi. But I think in scenes like the season 1 tapeworm episode where Buck seems to bond with the gay couple it's supposed to come off more like Buck is just being his himbo self more than anything else. I mean I do think when we're looking back on the show there are definitely signs of his bisexuality (the tapeworm scene being one) but I don't know that the writers wrote him at the time with that intention.

But I think there's a good possibility that they brought Eddie in always wanting to have him be a character that comes out eventually. I mean look at how we're introduced to Eddie. Then look at how everything with Shannon was handled. They easily could have kept her around longer and turned their relationship into a will they/won't they. They could have made it so we saw how in love with her Eddie has always been but that's not what happened. They let us know right away that the main draw to that relationship for Eddie was familiarity and the fact that Shannon is Chris' mother. These factors have continued to come into play in Eddie's other relationships too. Like with Ana there was a familiarity in that she was Chris' teacher and Eddie was mostly looking for someone to fill the mother figure role for Chris.

While I think that Eddie was always intended to be queer I don't think they wanted him to come out immediately like they did with a character like Michael. I think the plan was to tell his story slowly and have him come out later. The Ana storyline I think was supposed to be the lead in to having Eddie come out. The main reason I believe this (apart from just look at how that storyline was handled) is the person on twitter with inside info to the show said as much.

I also think that around s3 they started to really notice the chemistry between Buck and Eddie and how much people were shipping them because that's when we got scenes like "there's no one in this world I trust with my son more" and "you want to go for the title" and the grocery story fight which totally read like a lovers quarrel. Or how they had Eddie seeing images of Buck flash in his mind when he almost died in the well. Or having Buck scream for Eddie when he almost died in the well.

I think by the time they got to season 4 there were serious discussions about putting Buck and Eddie together. We know from Oliver that the plan was originally to have Buck come out in s4 and presumably Eddie in s5 along with Buddie going canon. But Fox put a stop to that. If you go by what the insider said and by how season 4 was handled especially the shooting (which is incredibly romance coded) there's no way that Buddie wasn't in the plans by this point.

Plus you had Tim leaving around this time likely at least in part because he was frustrated with how Fox was stifling his show. You can also see remnants of where the story was supposed to go in s5. All that stuff with Eddie and Ana and the panic attacks and Buck being worried about him that was definitely supposed to be a part of Eddie's coming out arc I'm positive on that. I also think that Taylor (when she came back in s4) was originally just supposed to be a friend who helped Buck figure things out but instead Fox pushed for her to be a love interest. This would explain Oliver's dislike of the relationship and complete lack of supporting it. Similar to how he's been with B/T.

its been a while since i write abt terrafirmacraft... well its because i've been busy rebuilding the house. its a two story house with a wing dedicated for cooking and forging. the roof was burnt down twice until i replaced it with mudbricks instead of wood blocks. it also has a basement where i kept barrels of limewater, tallows, and preserved foods. limewater is useful for a lot of things, but right now im using it just for leather. tallows are candles. turns out whale hunting is a lot easier than i think. i crossed the ocean many times during my move, and some of them lingers and follow you on boat. candles are better light source than torches. you cant exactly hang it off the walls or ceiling, but it lasts longer. i'll be using candles until i finally get materials to make lamp glass.

as i get settled, i started farming. plants grow better here, and i can forage things from the forest, but they overheat fast so i need to provide crops with lots of fertilizers. i planted tomatoes, but i forgot they need a stick to prop them up. and then i find some animals, a cow, horse, and a llama i think? idk. i also got some chicken but it dies lol.

the cow was probably the worst animal i had to drag back. theyre so stupid! i brought three, but only one survives because one of them escaped the leash and ran off while the other fell in a hole and gets bit to death by crocodiles. i hate crocodiles so much, theyre demons that trap you in swamps.

winter came, and i started preparing for a trek to find graphite. i found a bunch of coppers, cooked, don my leather armor, i vaguely remember that there was an exposed bit of rock that might contain graphite in one of the lakes near my super super first base. i spent at least one and a half prospective pick just to get graphite. its tedious, long, and arduous. i think it took me two weeks to get it. i play the game in 2 hour duration twice a week so yea im a casual. its super satisfying to hit a super large stack though and coming home with a bonus of pyrite and beets. also now i know how to mine deep underwater <3

my plan here is to make glass for lamps and jars. to do that i need tools like paddle, jacks, blowpipe, and gem saw. i need brass to make jacks. and for gem saw i would need gems like pyrite and brass rod. to make brass you need a tin and copper and a way to process said tin and copper to be brass. by that i mean i need a crucible. its made out of fire clay. fire clay is made out of kaolinite clay and graphite. i just need One Thing.

but of course finding kaolinite isnt as easy as it sounds. it took me a week before i start using cheats. i already live SOMEHWERE where kao is supposed to spawn. but all i see is sylvite and saltpeters. its drudget i use locate biome to see other places like highlands and old mountains that might give me what i need, but so far i found zero. im starting to think my world just doesnt have kao. so i just give up and type give tfc:kaolin_clay.

i gave myself just enough to make a crucible. i made my brass rods and once i got it, i have to weld and work said rods on the anvil to make my blowpipe.

i blew all my coal and brass ingots to zero results. i just suck, suck so bad at working the anvil. so i took a long break. i didnt touch tfc for quite a while. i focused on making gifsets and such. but i get bored with only dabbling with photoshop so i look up tips on anvil working on tfc. there's no way around it. the mod is meant to slow you down and make you learn and explore. some suggested i practiced working on an anvil using copper. some suggested i work on other shit before coming back to the anvil.

so, i went back, and realized how much i neglected my house. my animals still doesnt have a barn. i havent fixed the burned kitchen roof. my bookshelves are empty. my leather armor have been worn down to a nub. my inventory shelves are a mess. i havent restored the decorations that got burned down on the third (or was it fourth?) house fire. i went to work slowly fixing those things. i made copper armor again, a helmet and boots. to tell you the truth, i think i did metalworking better when im just going by vibes instead of overthinking the maths.

im gonna complete the armor i wear, but for now i think i want to make a proper barn first and a warehouse. as i was working, the chest near the forge caught fire. i realized then the space im working in is too small. i need to make a storage space and a building dedicating for forging.

so H2 kinda came to be bc of that one man u v bayern game last year during which maguire got hurt. i wrote a lil omegaverse fic about that :) here :) but tbh the idea came to me bc i was chatting with friends, we were all watching the game and joked about maguire and kane kissing.

now the longer i thought about it the more fascinated i got by it bc maguire is this big-ass guy who ngl demonstrated a lot of strength during the time everyone hated him. i mean poor guy got a bomb threat to his house and lots and lots of online abuse. he also seems to be empty-headed but headstrong. lethal combo lmao. meanwhile, kane is like this ????????? captain. this guy who keeps calm, who is universally (better) liked than maguire and at the time was ripping the bundesliga apart.

i just think these rpf versions of them mesh so well and like they have chemistry, i love watching videos and seeing that they're clearly friends. girl dads as well, v cute.

there is also this gifset i forced my friend ruben to make bc its the tiniest interaction and i was hoping for much more food these euros but some big oaf had to go and be injured.

I'm no longer in the fandom but I like watching from the sidelines. there was a poll asking if destiel will still be made canon and my question is: how. isn't the prequel planned about the parents? I would love an explanation cause I don't understand. thank you so much!!

Hello there friend!! I'm happy to explain, I love rambling about this batshit show so much!

So yes, the prequel is about the parents, but I'm not sure how much you know about it so here's a little primer: from what I've seen, it's actually Dean telling the story of how his parents met and fell in love, presumably while he's up in Heaven post-finale (y'know, where Cas is also supposed to be). Jensen and his wife Daneel are executive producing, and the prequel is being showrun by Robbie Thompson, known for writing such episodes as Goodbye Stranger (the crypt scene my beloved!!!!!!), Meta Fiction ("What makes a story work? Is it the plot, the characters, the text? The subtext?"), and Fan Fiction (the musical ep! With Sam teasing Dean about destiel!). So from the get-go everyone was like 👀 because Robbie has always been a destiel-positive writer! Plus, apparently, Daneel's favourite character is Cas, so it would make sense for them to bring Cas back if they (and Misha) wanted!

Please bear in mind that I haven't actually watched any of the prequel, i've just been living vicariously through my dash. People who have actually watched it/know more than me please feel free to add on/correct me!

So, to my knowledge, the reasons people are thinking they might make Destiel canon in the prequel are (in no particular order):

a) A few weeks ago there was an episode that had Gabriel (as played by Richard Speight Jr) as the MOTW and also had a background cameo from Rob Benedict in a very bad wig (unclear if that was Chuck or not), and there have been quotes from (i think) Robbie saying that they're only having cameos from OG SPN actors if it's relevant to the story they want to tell (and since the Rob cameo was not explained or plot-relevant people are thinking they're possibly going to do a Chuck won scenario? It could turn out that he was never actually defeated in 15.19 and now Dean has to show up to fight him again (and get Cas back?? maybe??))

b) In that same episode, there was a scene where Mary and John look at a picture of some dude who'd given them a clue or talked to John or something - it was Dean! So he's alive again, briefly, in the 70s. Could be time travel, could be he's escaped from Heaven. So if Dean is around in the show, whether just as narrator or as a character in the story, he has the potential to go rogue and look for Cas, or be telling the story to Cas up in Heaven. In either case, there is the potential for canon destiel, if they (Jensen, Daneel, Robbie, Misha, etc.) decide they want to do that.

c) Jensen has said various things at cons recently which are kinda 👀, including that he'd have been happy to keep going on SPN for another 6 years, and, most recently (this weekend), which I think sparked the poll you were talking about - that if Dean and Cas reunited Dean would say "Hey, can we talk about that goodbye a little bit?" and then joked that nah, it would be more like "hey, buddy, good to see you, old pal" but THEN said "I don't know, maybe we'll get to see that, that would be interesting" (Here's a gifset of him saying that if you're interested)

It's no secret that Jensen Did Not like the finale, apparently Eric Kripke had to talk him into it and he still makes salty jokes about it even now. Add the fact that he got someone else to film the confession for him because he wanted to have a record of it, and has said they cut out key parts of his performance in that scene (which is why the editing of it is so janky). So it's possible that he intended for there to be actual reciprocation in that scene and, well, now he's got the reins. He could do it if he wanted!!!

d) The prequel finale - airing next Tuesday, Jack help us - is titled "Hey, that's no way to say goodbye". Which was already kinda 👀 before the con this weekend, but combined with Jensen saying Dean would say "can we talk about that goodbye a little bit?" is um. Look I don't wanna get my hopes up. But also........ 👀👀👀

I think the prevailing theories at the moment (from what I've seen on my dash) are that either:

a) They're baiting us to keep interest in the prequel (I trust Robbie but I don't really trust Jensen, so this seems likely)

b) They really are gonna bring Cas back, either as him being the one Dean is telling this story to up in Heaven, or using that Rob Benedict cameo to retcon the finale and make the show about breaking free of Chuck's control for realsies this time (which hopefully means Cas actually showing up and not being explained away in one line like the finale)

Like I said, I don't wanna get my hopes up because I don't quite trust Jensen. But. Given Robbie Thompson showrunning and Daneel loving Cas and Jensen dropping all these maybe-maybe-not hints. If they DID make destiel canon. I would not be surprised.

Well maybe a little bit but in an "I can't believe I was right" way.

Happy New Year to you too! I don’t have many concrete plans lined up (yet) but there’s definitely some things I’d tentatively like to try to do!

On the Queen side of things, I’d like to pick up the rest of Brian’s books and give them a read. I got a copy of Diableries for Christmas but I really want to get his space books and check those out next! I’d also like to check out more of Roger’s solo music… I meant to do that years ago actually, but I got sidetracked by The Boomtown Rats and never went back to his stuff 😅

And on the topic of the Rats, I want to get back to making regular gifsets for @its-a-rat-trap since I fell off that a bit in the second half of last year… I also want to get caught up on scanning and posting articles to @merlinband-archive, and I REALLY want to find a copy of their last single before the 50th anniversary of their album release this upcoming November. 

(On that note, if anyone is out in the wild and finds a 7” Merlin single for “What A Funny Way To Fall In Love” b/w “Rock ‘n’ Roll Express” for sale anywhere please hit me up so I can buy it off you!)

Beyond all that I want to get more writing done this year for sure! Not just fic (though I will finish the Hanahaki fic or die trying) but original stuff too; I submitted my first short story for publication last year and I’d like to get more submissions out if I can! And my Housemate and I have a huge list of local places we’d like to check out once the weather warms up again, starting with my favorite beaches that we haven't made it out to yet.

Accomplishments! Quantum Break fansite in progress!

Well, I removed Tumblr from my phone to prevent me from wasting so much time there, which means I now have nowhere to easily and quickly post my inane thoughts (at least not without feeling like I'm bothering people on Discord or in direct messages, though perhaps that's something I should work on). You know what that means! It means I'm probably going to try posting them here instead. Thing I want to post about: I'm making a Quantum Break fansite! I've been wanting to do this for ages, and actually started putting together a couple of little graphics for it during the "Quantum Break Appreciation Month" event I ran on Tumblr in April, but I hadn't made much progress on the project since then... until the past few days, anyway, when I started brainstorming what I actually want to do with the site, how I want to lay it out, and so on. Yesterday I put together some CSS for the site, and today I did The Hard Part: I set up a git/GitHub repo for the site, and got the "deploy to neocities" script working for it, so I can easily and quickly make updates to the site in VSCode, then push from there to GitHub to neocities all at once, like I do with my personal site. Was this an absolute pain to set up? Yes! Somehow, it took me even longer to do it a second time than it did the first! But I did it myself, with a lot of encouragement and rubber duck-ing from a few very helpful people in the Fandom Coders chat. Can't say I'm not proud of myself for that. I would not have had the skill or confidence a year ago to do something like this, especially not all the mucking about I did in the terminal trying to set up the git repo in the first place. Anyway, I am, to put it mildly, extremely fucking excited to continue working on this site. I've got big plans: first order of business is to get an archive set up of all the Quantum Break fanfic I can get my hands on (and get permission from the authors for). After that, I'm probably going to do the same for fanart and image edits like photosets and gifsets from Tumblr, since the CSS page styling for those will likely be similar (though I expect to run into some attribution problems with older Tumblr posts, what with so many deactivated or moved blogs post-2018). Once that's sorted out, I'm considering looking into the best way to archive fanvids, but honestly that might be put off for a while longer, as video hosting and video players are way out of my skill level currently. Maybe I'll import some of my Quantum Break playlists from my personal site, too? Oh yeah, and at some point down the line, I want to make a searchable wiki with transcripts of all the in-game narrative objects. But "searchable" is probably going to be a stumbling point there, and transcribing takes ages, so this will be last priority, I think. Wow, that's... a lot, actually! Damn! This is gonna take a while. Not that I mind spending a couple of years poking at a project, obviously. *Gestures at my longfic that took four years to finish...* I've been neck deep in this fandom for over seven years, what's another five or ten? XP

Grand Guignol - the trailer for this one embedded itself into my brain, it hits far too many of my buttons for me to not try to get my hands on it

Wish me Luck - I would have watched for Fiat in a 1st role, and Na, but the story also seems cute and they put Tonnam in glasses so. Can't pass it up.

3. Do you anticipate writing for a new fandom this year? Which one?

Honestly, I probably will! I've only put out two fics and one original work so far, so there's a good chance of getting attacked by a fic idea for something else and writing it. Currently I've been back in the Top Gun: Maverick brainrot so it might be that!

5. Which WIP is first on your list to complete this year? Will you post a snippet?

You probably guessed this one but I'm hoping to wrap up Project Jade sometime this year (probably in summer), it's been the one I've been working on for over a year now. Although some shorter fics might happen before that if inspiration strikes. For a snippet, you can have this one from a later chapter:

Her eyes flitted over to the closet door. Inside, underneath her box of winter shoes, lay hidden the files. Had she known how much hell those pieces of paper would raise for them, she never would have opened her mouth in that hallway. Never.

They'd decided keeping the files close and secret was the best plan of action for the moment. They didn't know what else to do but hold on to them and wait until an opportunity to do some real damage presented itself - that's why they were waiting.

That's what Freya kept telling herself, anyways. That's and what she and Oscar had agreed on. But in truth, there was another thing at play. She knew what kind of power those files possessed, and she was scared shitless. They had seen first-hand the ramifications of interfering with the wrong people, and she wanted nothing more than to forget about it all. To stop worrying about who was going to drop dead next. But it couldn't be nearly that simple.

So she closed the notebook, threw a pillow onto the floor next to Oscar with his laptop, and took a seat. "Alright, what now?"

"You're the green chicken," he hurried to explain, pointing at the avatar of a neon green hen with a comically large knife in its beak. "You have the arrows to move, Q for attack, and- Hey, stop laughing! This is deadly serious," he chided, but she couldn't help but crack up too as they locked eyes. As far as distractions went, this would do just fine.

6. Which yet-to-be-started fic is first on your list?

Like I said I've been thinking about Top Gun: Maverick a lot and I've got a pretty detailed idea for a 5+1 fic about Mav and Rooster over the course of the kid's life. More specifically it's five moments when Mav has to parent Bradley after Goose's death and has no idea what he's doing, and then one time when he knows exactly what to do (at the end of the movie, unsurprisingly).

8. Is there a story idea in your mental vault that you’ve never been brave enough to try writing? Is this the year? Can you tell us about it?

At some point I'd really love to try writing something more dystopian or apocalyptic (or post-apocalyptic), I adore those kind of settings. I have some vague ideas but nothing concrete yet, and honestly I doubt anything's gonna happen this year cause I already have a big project on my hands. Hopefully sometime in the future though!

13. Aside from fanfic, are there any other fan works you’d like to try creating? Fanart, or fanvids, gifsets, or podfic? 

I occasionally do some drawing and fanart, so I'd love to do more of that if I have time. Learning how to draw people has been a pain in the ass but getting better at drawing characters is the current goal. Gotta do my blorbos justice.

18. Do you typically post multi-chapters as you write, or finish it all and then start posting? Would you like to change your posting method?

I've done one two-parter and one longer multi-chapter thing, and for both I did something in between. I like to have a fair amount written for the whole thing before posting anything, and then I write the missing bits and edit chapter by chapter as I go. It does result in pretty inconsistent posting but I'm a sucker for feedback and wanting to post it helps with motivation, so I'm sticking with it for the moment.

ok just finished my s6 rewatch (also rewatched the 2nd half of s5 bc im still feeling insane) AND NOW I CAN FINALLY WATCH THE AVAILABLE S7 EPISODES

i initially stopped watching after s6 bc that ending was such a joke so i wasnt planning on seeing s7 anytime soon unless there was a good reason (WHICH THERE IS NOW LOL). Was just gonna wait for it to finish airing and see if there were any buddie crumbs with no expectation of fox having the balls to make them canon fr.

After seeing the bi buck kiss scene that I came across on twt, I've been avoiding s7 spoilers so I can watch the new eps with fresh eyes.

All I know is some vague stuff like the name of the guy is tommy, apparently he's a good friend of eddie and buck feels left out, and something about a heart circled on a calendar?? Idk the details (ive been quickly scrolling past unfamiliar gifsets and s7 episode tags lmao) so im really excited to see everything in context and watching how this all plays out.

a quick rant since im all refreshed from the mini rewatch

It's honestly so wild to see how far this show has come. I didn't even know it switched from fox to abc until after the kiss spoilers were everywhere so im extra hype to see how that will make a difference in the relationship dynamics.

With fox, the emotional scenes with the high stake rescues, character drama, and team dynamics were always good, but when it came to Buck and Eddie's romantic relationships with women, it started feeling really forced and out of place the longer the show went on.

And in a noticeably odd homophobic way too.

It gave the vibe of just pairing them with women they either, didn't have much chemistry with, or with who they were not on the same emotional wavelength just to have them in a relationship with a woman. I never liked how rushed and cringy the meet-cute's felt, or the huge emotional disconnect while they spoke about being in love. Like it never felt like they were actually in love with who they were seeing.

Eddie dating out of obligation, family/peer pressure, or for Chris' sake to the point he feels like it's all a performance, never being able to truly trust/open up emotionally to any of them, overthinking, being so emotionally distant and critical, he ends up sabotaging the relationship anyway. Buck dating and having sex with just about any girl who shows him even a scrap of care regardless of compatibility bc he desperately wants to be accepted and validate his existence, wearing his huge heart on his sleeve, being too much too soon, molding himself into whoever he thinks they expect him to be, and eventually watching them walk away after clinging too hard.

It was honestly baffling to see when the relationship buddie had with each other clearly overshadowed what was going on with w.e girlfriend they had at the time. They were effortlessly meeting each other's emotional needs so well that the women they dated essentially ended up feeling like afterthoughts. Everything you'd expect they'd get from a healthy romantic relationship with the women they were paired with, including the ups and downs of an engaging romantic development, they instead got with each other.

It was to the point that I legit thought fox was trolling us in s6 with Marisol and Natalia.

On that note, I will say that Eddie's eventual choice to take a chance on Marisol felt slightly more organic than buck's choice to date Natalia with their non-existent chemistry, but it still felt really out of place.

Bobby was literally just telling Eddie how he wasn't looking for anything with Athena at first, how their relationship developed naturally from her offering him emotional support during a low point, to him inviting her to church to pray, to eventually taking her to dinner after they clicked. Then, we have Bobby comparing that to how Eddie got with Shannon at 14 in a similar light, emphasizing that Eddie wasn't trying to "make it happen" either.

But that's what makes Eddie asking Marisol out like he did so strange.

Like yeah, it did sort of fit in the theme of just "letting it happen" naturally, but since it was compared to how Eddie got with Shannon like it was a positive thing (which given their history of getting married bc she got pregnant, ending with resentment on both sides, it really wasn't) the parallel falls flat. Earlier in the season, Chim even called out how unromantic Eddie's proposal to Shannon was, like it was nothing, and the others even poke fun at him not even being the one to pursue her in the first place, like he didn't care either way.

So after all that, it almost feels like he's dating Marisol just bc he happened to run into her at the hardware store and she gave him a DIY recommendation with a smile. Because next thing you know, he's suddenly agonizing for days about asking her out on a date? What?? Why?? The emotional disconnect between how Bobby and Athena got together and Eddie just deciding to date her bc she's nice, even though there was no kind of emotional build up, had me reeling.

And don't even get me started on the second hand embarrassment I felt watching how Buck and Natalia started to date. It really did feel like a joke with the whole "she sees me" thing when there was literally nothing about their interactions to indicate that was true at all. Like how can anyone take that seriously after the kind of shallow conversations they had? Especially after they showed her walking out on Buck after barely scarping the surface of what his chaotic life entailed.

Even when she came back to apologize, it felt hollow since nothing in how she reacted to Buck's chaotic life changed from the last time she was there, she still looked ready to run again while simply handing over a towel and calling an ambulance so Buck could help deliver a baby. Buck seemed even more stressed after she showed up and it was like pulling teeth to get her to help him, even saying that he's just doing his job.

Honestly, nothing against her because it's completely valid for her to feel overwhelmed by everything she was thrown into. She barely knows him and there's already so much to unpack about his life. She came into this bc a cute guy with an interesting story about being stuck by lightning asked her out and she was intrigued, which is completely fair. But the point I'm trying to make is that they just aren't compatible, and she was/is not remotely ready to take that all on. I could def write a whole analysis on that if anyone wants but writing it all here would end up as 5000 word essay lmao

But getting back on track, I've been watching 911 since s3 started airing and fox's confusing writing for Buck and Eddie's female love interests always rubbed me the wrong way. It stood out even more esp since the other m/f relationships like Chim/Maddie and Bobby/Athena were written with so much care and believable development. Unless fox was planning the best kind of endgame slowburn by writing buddie's other romantic relationships to be so severely lacking in order to highlight how compatible buddie is in comparison (highly doubtful since it's fox) it really made no sense.

So yeah, abc taking over and already making changes that properly reflect buck's journey of self discovery, taking into account how experiences shaped him, and showing his emotional development has me shaking in relief and excitement!! Gonna start s7e1 now!

I watched the latest Big Sky episode because of that Jenny/Beau gifset you reblogged and nobody warned me about the killer of the week CRAWLING OUT FROM UNDER THE BED LIKE A HORROR MOVIE VILLAIN

anon, the way i screamed when that dude slithered out from under the bed lol

honestly that entire scene was bonkers. i rewatched it this morning and it was...a lot for a wednesday night. like, let's break this down point by point.

jenny and beau, after learning of the killer's obsession with the victim's teenage daughter, who he has now kidnapped, figure out that the killer has a secret room in the walls of his house. again, a secret room IN THE WALLS.

they enter the secret room in the wall and find the kidnapped and drugged girl shackled to a chair in an exact replica of her childhood bedroom. it's revealed that this creepy ass motherfucker, a long time trusted family friend, has been planning this since she was a child.

during the quick pan around the room, items such as photographs, presumably taken without the girl's knowledge, used ballet shoes, a used hairbrush, used band aids, and other stolen trash are seen.

(it's also worth noting that there is an eerie music box lullaby playing.)

the lights go out. creepy stalker bad guy slithers out from under the bed with a big ass knife like he thinks he's michael myers and immediately attacks.

there is a rather brutal fight scene that ends with beau getting slashed (possibly stabbed?) in the shoulder and then stabbing the creeper in the chest, seemingly putting an end to the whole ordeal.

jenny moves to make sure the monster is really dead but is quickly distracted and ends up lowering her weapon and rushing to beau's side when he says "he got me." (by the way, he's completely fine, there isn't even a mention of the injury later, and there was no reason for her to be as frantically worried as she was, just saying.)

creepy guy pulls off an impressive for network television jumpscare by bouncing right back to his creepy feet while jenny and beau are distracted. beau, unarmed, sees him, pulls jenny closer and spins her around so she can finally shoot the bad guy of the week dead. (and then continues holding onto her for far longer than necessary.)

and the best part about this wild ride of a scene? all of this happened in less than three minutes. this show is unhinged in the best way possible.

“okay, yln, can you hear us?” sam’s voice came through the earpiece faintly as the music boomed around you in the poorly lit clob. 

“turn my piece up a little more and we’ll be all good” they did and checked it, the volume perfect. “okay, who am i looking for again?”

“he’s wearing a black suit jacket and a red sweater. he had a gold ring on his right hand, and if it has a red stone, that’s our guy. good luck, yn” sam explained and you nodded, scanning the club slowly. your eyes found a red sweater sitting at the bar. you smirked and gave bucky and sam a heads up before heading over to the bar. 

you leaned against the marble counter of the bar, the guy’s eyes flowing down your body and up back again. you asked for a martini and the bartender nodded, grabbing a glass. “well.. might i say.. you are the most gorgeous girl to have ever crossed my path” he said softly and you heard a scoff in your ear piece, and you covered a laugh with a thank you to the bartender. you pull out a 10 from your bra while looking directly at the suspect, handing it to the bartender. 

“i bet you say that to all the girls” you smile, sipping your drink. you spun your finger around the rim of your glass, batting your eyelashes slightly. 

“flirting won’t help, yn, just get the ring and go” bucky said snappy and you rolled your eyes as you set down your empty glass. you turned back to the guy, stepping forward with your body pressed softly against his knee. 

“how about you say we find some where quieter to talk. do you have a car, maybe?” you smile and run a hand over his shoulders, a smirk appearing on his face. 

“yes, follow me” you took his right hand, seeing the red stone glimmer in the strobe lights. you sent a signal to bucky and sam, hearing the roar of bucky’s bike in the earpiece. the cool air hit your clammy skin and you let out a sigh of relief as your shoulders dropped. “my car’s just over there”

you heard bucky’s bike screech and you bit back a smile. “oh, shit, i forgot. my ride’s already here. maybe next time!” you smile and pull his ring off in a swift movement, running over and swinging a leg behind bucky. he glared at the man and clenched his jaw, revving the engine and speeding off. 

you cheered as you slid the ring into bucky’s pocket, zipping it up so it didn’t fly out. your arms tightened around his waist with your chin on his bike, admiring him as the stop lights illuminated his features. “do i have something on my face?” he asked and you blinked a couple of times as you shook your head. 

“no, only jealousy” you smile and poke his stomach, bucky shaking his head. “oh come on buck, you’re so jealous! tell me, why were you so jealous?” the light turned green and he sped off without a word. your fingers held his jacket, placing a cheek on his back as he drove into the night. 

bucky killed the engine of his bike and got off, helping you down. you walked next to him and took the ring out of bucky’s pocket, handing it to sam who smiled, giving you a fist bump. “nice work, yn. you didn’t get his number, did you?” you laugh and shook your head, rubbing your arms. 

“no, thank god. i’d much rather have a man who walked with dinosaurs than that creep” sam laughed and you saw bucky smirk out of the corner of your eyes. “i’m gonna head home and eat something. you coming?” sam waved you off and bucky swung a leg over his bike.

“no, i’m alright. i’m gonna stay here for a bit longer. you two go ahead” you and bucky nod, your hand gripping on bucky's bicep as you hopped on behind him. you saluted you sam and bucky’s bike roared to life. he revived the engine and took off, your eyes darting back and forth as you watched his face.

"got something on my face?" he said over his shoulder and you smile, shaking your head and kissing his cheek. "now i have a kiss on my face" he smiled and you laughed, the light turning green and he drove again. he pulled into the driveway into the garage.

bucky killed the engine and you grabbed his hand, pulling him into you. you rubbed your hands up and down his chest, holding his face and kissing him slowly. "tell me," he raised his eyebrows as his hands grip your hips. "how jealous were you that the guy was hitting on me?"

bucky rolled his eyes, licking his lips softly. "i was not jealous of that guy" you laughed, bucky scrunching his eyebrows. "what! i was not jealous"

"you were, i heard you over the earpiece. you wanted me in and out, your tone was not happy" you said and rubbed a thumb over his cheek, bucky sighing. "alright, fine. a little jealous. but how could i not be? you're mine and i don't like other guys flirting with you, mission or not"

"and what did i tell sam? i would much rather be with you than anyone else in the whole world. i love you, buck" he smiled and leaned down, kissing you softly and slowly.

"i love you more" he whispered and you bite your lip, eyes darting around his face. "what?" bucky asked with a chuckle.

"nothing it's just.. you're really sexy when you're jealous" you push your body into his and he sighs, slowly walking towards the door. "bucky?" he hummed against your mouth, pulling your hips up and putting your legs around his waist. "please take me to bed"

"that was the plan, doll" he smirked, kicking the door closed and you laughed, holding his hair in between his fingers as he kissed you slowly.

Hi @dolcifusa ! Good question. Okay this got way longer and more detailed than you probably wanted but here's how I made the whumptober sets. And I'll put it under a readmore cause it's kinda long

I did indeed use a program to make them. I use Photoshop CC 2014 to make the gifs and layout and KMPlayer to made screencaps of the episodes. Oh and I use windows not mac.

First thing to do is make you're individual gifs like normal. So I have a list of 12 scenes I want in this layout so I made 12 gifs. Upload your frames, add any adjustments you want like usual. The only thing I do differently for a layout than I do for a regular gifset is I don't resize the gifs.

Also it is very important that you make sure all of your gifs are the exact same number of frames and are set to the same speed. I chose 50 frames and .05 speed. This is KEY to making the layout work. If the numbers are different it won't work correctly on the layout.

Once your gifs are made, put all your adjustment layers into a folder and then put that folder and the gif layers into a folder. So everything is in one folder. This is an important step. Like this (bottom right side of the screen under layers):

Next up is planning the layout. There are a ton of layout templates you can find on tumblr or elsewhere or you can make your own. I did both this month. Since I have 12 gifs I'm gonna do 3 layouts with 4 gifs per layout. Then just choose the layout you think works best with your gifs. For this set I've chosen this layout:

If you're making your own make sure the layout is 540x wide and leave a little border between the gifs. The length doesn't matter.

Then make sure the image is in video timeline not frame timeline.

Then one gif at a time duplicate the folder with all your layers in it onto the layout.

Now you'll have something like this:

Use free transform (Edit ---> Free Transform) to resize your gif to fit the block you want it in (note: hold down shift when you resize the gif so it keeps it's dimensions). Release shift after you release your mouse and then hit enter. Your gif is now inside the block but it probably doesn't fully fit.

So now click the eye next to your gif folder so you can see the layout underneath it. Select the box you want the gif to be in.

Hit the eye again to make sure it fits alright. Then hit the layer mask button.

Repeat the process until all your boxes are full.

When you have all the boxes full, delete the background layout template layer so that your background is transparent. Then go ahead and save for web.
