Wish wish wishhhh we'd seen the reactions of Julian's friends to the enhancements reveal. Miles' was lovely, ofc, but we got like, a slice of Sisko and then crickets.

And obviously Garak's reaction would have been priceless, but also what about Jadzia? And Kira? And Odo? And and and... I just feel so robbed every time I remember we didn't see it :(

Unfortunately, the closer we are to the end of this drama, the more obvious that ao ruipeng's acting is uhhhhhh. I was willing to give him a chance and see him play the cold master in the beginning, but as we watch his tragic backstory and his reunion with his brother and his loss of his good friend, his face is so stiff. It's just so so stiff. Not even a choked gasp or twisted turn of expression because he's literally lost the people he cared about. His eyes get watery but even his eyes don't move very much. He's so expressionless. It's just sadly disappointing.

one of the most irritating aspects of neji’s death was that it was boring.

the emotional impact came from the fact that he died, and nothing else. not the characters’ reactions (which were lukewarm at best), not the emotions building up to it (it kinda came out of nowhere), not the aftermath or the depiction of grief (which were generic side notes). it’s like if you AI generated a death scene.

idk how to articulate this but ugh. it’s just such wasted potential

obviously id prefer if he didn’t die. but killing off a character is fine as long as its good and impactful storytelling. even independent of how ass of a conclusion to his arc it was, Neji’s death was just not that.

i think it's iconic how both juan and cesare have episodes centered on them that are named after machiavelli's books!! with juan's episode titled "the art of war" and cesare's episode titled "the prince" (the show's finale that also had juan haunting its narrative)

Omg...... Like Mother, Like Daughter is doomed Yuri (half yuri? One sided yuri?). TT0TT Sol doesn't feel the same way I'm pretty sure (sadly), but Som is DEF down bad. TT0TT And Som's not exactly the most mentally stable jakfjdksalfj (I think she has a bit of a "Sol's my pet" vibe going on as well. Som means well but she is NOT healthy either jfakslfj oh this is just going to be a fucking wreck I'm ready let's GO!)

Doing another veep rewatch with my sister. People (who don’t seem to know me that well) don’t understand why I have this thing with a(n outdated) show that is literally about extracting the most mean-spirited versions of people and putting them in situations, but I basically think about it nonstop because of how they massacred the perfect equilibrium of Dan x Amy.

Seasons 1-4, perfect. Season 5, my heart in my stomach. Season 6, grinning and bearing. Season 7, I’m screaming at the television like HE WOULDN’T DO THAT. IT’S NOT IN CHARACTER. If you’re going to tank a ship I need it to be written in a way that makes sense to me (as in, I would have accepted the bad ending wholeheartedly if it made sense within the premises of the characters that were presented to us and felt earned)(you can’t give me excellent codependent functional dysfunction and then do. That)
