this blog is a safe place for everyone and i mean it, including me. i’m not going to take certain things lightly if people are telling me they don’t care about an event regarding my personal life and trying to get me to get over it?? just so i can finish a piece of fanfiction?? i’m gagging.

adding to the last point: i’ve never written fanfic, but even READING fanfic about female characters can be a chore because you usually have to use your imagination ​to fill in the lack of complex and realistic characteristization that canon has left underdeveloped and empty. plus there’s a higher chance the author writes them out of character and/or just fills in the gaps in a completely different way than YOU fill in the gaps, i.e. you have vastly different headcanons. bc there’s barely any actual canon about that female character. every single thing in this post hits home.

It just kills me when writers create franchises where like 95% of the speaking roles are male, then get morally offended that all of the popular ships are gay. It’s like, what did they expect?

guys i'm truly anxious about the election hysteria detracting from attention that should be going into fundraisers, so ahead of all the ruckus i genuinely think it's important to remember and that fundraisers remain paramount. platforming campaigns periodically is one of very few ways we can help and i'm worried many people will lose sight of that in the midst of the pointless discourse about the election. but it's literally all smoke and mirrors and none of it makes a tangible difference the way fundraising does

many things about the chronicles of Narnia made me irrevocably insane at the small age of six years old but one of the big ones was the bit in prince Caspian where caspian blows susan's horn to try and summon help and it summons the pevensie kids like. that's crazy ok. that's insane. imagine at 12 years old you're given a horn thats purpose is basically summoning divine intervention & then years later someone blows it and summons YOU . I'm crazy !
