just existing as a queer person in this world is so disheartning. i love being queer, i love havin queer experiences and i love my community, but it is sad seeing so much hate envolving us just living our lifes. it has been worse in the past and we got throught it, althought it seems like we will always be dehumanized by society. it is exausting. recently in my country, Brazil, a political party that our late president ( Jair Bolsonaro, he was a dickhead and a neoliberal) was a part of was trying to pass a legislation to criminalize homoafetive marriage and only recognize male-female marriages. i dont think this law has much chance of becoming a thing, but at the same time i fear it and it also scares me seeing that many people actually supported that. i love being brazilian and i love being queer but seeing how the LGBTQIA+ community, specially our trans siblings, is seen in here makes me lose hope. having a world where queer and trans people can live peacefully and proudly, without fearing bigots, is too much to ask?

I saw Elizabeth Arden wash down the drain

Staying over at a friend's place during a festival led me to Elizabeth Arden. A faded white plastic tube from the My Fifth Avenue collection, its shower gel was the epitome of moisturizing. As a frequent user of generic shower gel for bathing purposes, I was bewitched by its subtle fragrance and rich lathering. It was to no surprise that my heart broke when the previously applied gel eventually washed down the drain. My third world country heart ached for the loss of such a beloved product, a shower gel that would have pleased people for aeons to come. Such is the mindset of the third world miser and her silly little heart.

I grew up in a small town in a third-world country and everything that I saw online felt unachievable, things like Arctic Monkeys concerts, and aesthetics that just felt so out of place, and I felt like I didn't belong to where I lived. Now I'm here, living that girl's dream, but I still feel like I'm missing something. Maybe the problem was just me.

Go to a farmers market . . . . This one I could do (it's just a market and not a 'farmer's market' tho), and the experience is not the same.

Third-world countries, underdeveloped, developing nations, and emergent nations are some of the names used to describe unstable economies around the world. Sometimes the names sound weird. For example; underdeveloped just sounds like a premature child.

Here I outline two reasons why they stayed the way they are for so long without change.

It's no news that some of these countries would have been developed nations by now if not for the manipulation by very well-known, unknown forces.

Living in a place where you can get random public services shortages is truly something else.

No cursing, just overly bitter about this because it's late, I have no electricity and I just wanted to sleep since it's been a long day-.

You know, I'm doing my own thing and then BOOM! No water for u, sorry not sorry. When are you having it again? In a day, two, three?

Or maybe we can just not give you any electricity??? How's that sound? For 5 hours each day, yeah??? And if we're feeling extra silly, have an entire month without electricity. (Has happened twice /gen).

Or!! We could!?! Have nO public lighting at all???? How fun!!

Oh, oh! And gas! How about no one can fill up their tanks!! Or!! Or!! Maybe almost no one has any food security?? Three meals a day what is that??

Or perhaps, perhaps!! You can't walk, ride, drive on the street because that's no longer concrete, that's just a collection of holes in the ground. And weeds.

O trash truck, how I miss you. It's been a while since you visited us.

And- I could point out a lot of other things but honestly I- don't want to. Ahhh. I know there's other people that has it worse, but the thing is- that doesn't change the fact that there's real struggles happening in this side of things. And those struggles are not any less valid.

We all should have access to basic human rights because we're human. And among those rights is, you know, being able to live without struggling to eat, having a roof above your head, have access to water, electricity, health care... That kind of thing.

Those are meant to be taken for granted because it's a necessity, it's something we all should have and ahsjshanjkabs.
