Anybody else watch those 'Summer Bucket List' or 'Things To Do When You're Bored' and laugh sadly when half the things the recommend are not even options in your country?
Go to a cat cafe . . . . Mkay should I open one first or??
Go to a night carnival or fair and play fun games . . . . Uhhhh
Go to a farmers market . . . . This one I could do (it's just a market and not a 'farmer's market' tho), and the experience is not the same.
Go berry picking . . . . 😐
Go to a record store . . . . I really wish this was possible, I even have a record player, but I have to buy all my cds and vinyls online
#third world country#summer#bucketlist#kinda sad#sometimes you think living in places like the US or Canada or the UK isn't THAT different from where you live#but then they're everyday activities aren't even an option for you#tumblr#ask tumblr#I could go to the beach since I live on an island and or beaches are really nice but the fucking government is doing it's best to#make this country for the tourist and not for the citizens#like the just sold another public to a foreign company so they can build on part of it and make the other part a paid entrance thing#keep in mind this beach is LITERALLY people's backyard and now they'll have to pay to walk outside and swim#There are things that I could do that probably aren't an everyday option to the people in these first world countries but I have to PAY#It's wild cause literally 5 years ago I could do these things for free#could just drive out and go to the river for the day with my parents and we could still do that but as young adult with my friends#planning activities would be so much easier if we didn't need money for everything

WARNING: MAJOR BEETLEBABES SPOILERS
I had fun watching this film. It was great seeing the OGs again, it was funny and it had a good script BUT I have to give this movie 7/10 because the pacing was off for the first half of the film and because of the two unnecessary Babyjuice scenes (We'll get to more of that in a bit.)
It just felt rushed and Beetlejuice and Lydia's scenes were limited. Yes, we knew from the get go that Keaton's scenes would be confined because that's how he wanted it but I just like complaining. lol
Before Lydia and Beetlejuice officially reunite, he starts spamming her phone with the Day O song playing with Beetlejuice's name in bold pops ups coming up nonstop. This happens when Rory is trying to talk about their wedding and Lydia just isn't in the mood to talk about it.
The first Beetlebabes scene is the "therapy scene" and its also the first Babyjuice scene. Lydia's belly grows quickly, her water breaks and out pops out Babyjuice. It starts crawling around and soon starts biting on Lydia's ankle. You do actually see bloody teethmarks on Lydia's ankle to which Beetlejuice says, "Takes after his dad." and he starts drooling exaggeratingly.
I don't remember the exact wording but Lydia called Beetlejuice "Demented." To which Beetlejuice replies with something like "Well, if me wanting to be with the love of my life is demented then fine I'm demented. Come here, honey." Yes, he actually calls her the love of his life!
He tries to do the gliding thing he did with Lydia during the first movie when he says this. Before Lydia is pulled to his side, she yells, "Home! Home! Home!"
That's when Lydia tries to hurry to get everyone out of the house and out of Winter River but Astrid tells her she has a date and somehow convinces Lydia to drive her to the boy's house. So Delia and Lydia board up the attic door and decide no one goes in and that they'll leave that same night right after Lydia gets married at midnight.
Now as most of us have heard- Astrid's crush has a secret. That secret is...that he's a ghost. Which, I feel so dumb about not guessing it. I should've figured it out when they showed "The Recently Deceased" book thar he claimed he bought at a "yard sale". The boy (can't remember his name) says Lydia can help him come back to life (not through marriage) and says if she travels with him to the Neitherworld, she'll help her see her dad again.
Lydia soon finds out that the boy (I think his name was Jeremy) was not only someone who killed his parents but is also a ghost (through info from Jane the realtor) so she rushes to rescue Astrid but gets there seconds too late. With no other choice she goes back to the Maitlands home and summons Beetlejuice.
The minute Beetlejuice gets Lydia into the afterlife...they're immediately separated right after the "Bonnie and Clyde line. The excuse? Beetlejuice had to "visit the little boy's room" as a plot device so that Lydia and Astrid could reunite with Astrid's deceased father. He's the one that saves them from the sandworm and helps them make up.
It turns out that Jeremy was gonna swap places with Astrid. She would've gone on the Soul Train that takes you to the "Great Beyond" and he would've resurrected as a living person. This takes place at an immigration office. Beetlejuice has kind of a heroic moment where he switched places with the person behind the glass that gives the "stamp of living approval."
When Jeremy looks at the paper that Beetlejuice gives him, it reads "Shit Out of Luck Fucker". XD This part had everyone howling with laughter. Beetlejuice stamps on the paper and that instantly opens the floor beneath Jeremy and sends him to hell.
Astrid's father helped Lydia and Astrid leave the Neitherworld through a portal in a mausoleum that is conveniantlly across from the church that Lydia is supposed to getting married at. Even though she doesn't really want to marry Rory, she decides to do it anyway. Tells Rory she won't change into her wedding dress- that they should just proceed as they are.
That's when Beetlejuice arrives with Delia, pushes her aside and tells her to "Scram!" lol (Earlier in the film, Delia tried to perform a strange love ritual with a pair of snakes that she was told were defanged. Spoiler: they weren't defanged so she died and got sent to the Waiting Room so since she doesn't want to wait there for ages, she summons Beetlejuice who agrees to help her if he can help her find his "runaway bride".)
Beetlejuice proceeds to drug Rory by stabbing his neck with a syringe and this somehow makes Rory confess whata scumbag he is and how he was just using Lydia for money. Another interesting moment where Beetlejuice is being "helpful" in his own way."
So the next five minutes are just as chaotic as Jenna Ortega described. And remember how we all had speculated that Beetlejuice wouldn't waste time with a song and dance and would try to get through the vows as fast as he could? We were wrong. Beetlejuice apparently thought he had all the time in the world as he starts to lip sync "MacArthur Park" and even had Lydia lip syncing the song to him. His make up got all runny as he wept at his own wedding.
They dance and then Wolf and his SWAT team crash the wedding followed by Delores storming in and Beetlejuice tells her, "It's not you. It's me. I'm just looking for a more soul mate type. You should be with a guy that is more into you."
He magically rips off Rory's shirt to reveal a shirt underneath that says "I Love Delores". Delores is not impressed. And I honestly forgot what happens to Delores but then the Sandworm scene happens and then everything calms down. Lydia, Astrid and Delia try to leave the church but Beetlejuice stops them, reminding Lydia that they have a contract. He pulls out the contract.
But then Astrid remembers something Wolf had mentioned earlier about Beetlejuice violating "Code 669" by bringing a living person to the Neitherword so she states that that means his contract with Lydia is null and void. Beetlejuice's contract proceeds to burst into flame.
Lydia steps forward and says "I'm sorry it didn't work out between us." She says something else that I forgot and proceeds to say his name three times and with each call of his name, Beetlejuice's body inflates more and more until he pops.
Delia promises she'll haunt Lydia and Astrid until they're sick of her. Wolf takes her back to the Neitherworld where Delia reunites with Charles's mangled corpse. It then skips to Lydia announcing the last episode of her show so that she can "start living".
Then it shows Lydia and Astrid traveling together. It looks like they're in Romania/Transylvania where Astrid locks eyes with a cute guy. Then a time skip where Astrid is marrying the guy. Another time skip where Astrid is giving birth. This is where it gets weird. She gives birth to Babyjuice that proceeds to start crawling on the walls. That's when Lydia wakes up, relieved that that was a nightmare when suddenly Beetlejuice leans over her in bed and says, "I just had the strangest dream." Lydia gasps and she wakes up again and slowly looks over to her left to see an empty space and no Beetlejuice.
So I'm guessing that's what that one interviewer guy meant when he told Winona "You sorta got your wish at the end." I guess it means Beetlejuice will always be haunting her and playing the long game of waiting for her. I need to discuss this with someone! What do you think of the spoilers? The ending in particular?

“You didn’t.”
“I did.”
“No. Mom. You didn’t.”
“I did and you're going to set the table.”
“Why would you invite Bradley over?”
“Why?”
“Yes. Why?”
Your mother narrowed her eyes at you. You could tell her temper was on the rise, you’d been arguing about inviting Bradley over for all morning and she’d seemed to have had enough.
“I’m dying sweetheart. I’m not dying with regrets.” She hissed out the last part. “He’s coming over and you aren’t gonna say another word about it.”
“But—”
Her finger shot up, “If I hear one more word. One. I’m shipping you to base with your father. This has nothing to do with whatever you guys fell out over. I invited him over because I wanted to have dinner with the boy I so much as raised when Carole died. I do not care if you think I should be angry with him, I’m dying and I’m…” She pointed at herself, “Making amends. If you don’t want to be here, take a drive, sleep on base, and pull your teeth out. I’ve had you yammering in my ear all morning about canceling dinner. This is the one thing I’m asking you to do for me, and you’re throwing a fit. Zip it or ship it.”
Your lips pressed in a line thin. You **had been making this about you. The past few days have been difficult for you to process. The revelation that Bradley hadn’t just up and left you for no reason was heavy in your limbs. It didn’t align with what River had told you and with what you knew.
But, something was off.
It’s not that you didn’t believe what Bradley had told you. There were many ways to explain it all away but something kept gnawing you. River always talked about “divine timing.” What if it's all meant to be, “divine timing” will take care of it. Your guy's relationship had been built out of convenience. You both were young, in school together and looked good together. You both kind of… settled. He fit so well into your life that it had to be divine timing. How else could you explain it?
When your mother was diagnosed, River was good. He was so good to you and her, taking time off, driving her to appointments, and sure your mom was never his biggest fan but she respected him enough and his ability to make you comfortable. You can still pinpoint when he changed and became colder and distant. Every time he talked to you it was flitted with something aggressive.
Initially, you thought it had been neglect. You weren’t spending enough time with him, or maybe it was an effort. Either way, when the switch flipped it felt like whiplash. The night you called it off it was a blow-up fight. He threw vases, photos, plates, and whatever he could find. He kept murmuring about you not being in love with him and choosing your mother over him. Nothing could placate him and soon enough you tore the ring off your finger and hurled it at him, grabbed your keys, and ran to your car.
He tried to follow you but you lost him on the freeway and called your mother. It felt like all those years were a lie, he’d never lost his temper in that manner. Had never gotten aggressive or screamed at you. The whole argument unsettled you. It confirmed the gnawing feeling that ate away at you for years. Every once in a while his smile would become rigid, his grip on your wrist slightly tighter. Always small and light movements to command you to his well.
Once the phone call ended, you immediately went to pick her up, opting to stay at a hotel for a couple of days. He kept calling, texting, calling, and spamming through unknown numbers and accounts. All it did was confirm that… feeling that always sat at the back of your mind. The breakup wasn’t amicable in the slightest. You had police escort you to your shared apartment to pack your belongings and he, luckily, wasn’t there. Within hours, your life was packed up and you moved back in with your mother. However, you never shook the feeling that he was orbiting around you. Even if you never saw him, it followed you everywhere you went.
Silently, you grabbed plates and started to set the table.
“Thank you.” Your mother sighed. You mulled over anything and everything, still stuck on the photos. You and River didn’t even take engagement photos, just a small get-together with your mother and his family.
“Mom?” You called out gently, setting another placemat down.
“Yeah, sweetie?”
“Did you ever think something was wrong with River?”
She stood still for a few seconds.
“Like that something was off with him?”
“To be honest hon, I thought he was boring…”
The confession startled you, causing a giggle to bubble out of you.
“I did! Towards the end, I thought something was wrong with him. There were a few moments when he would seem…off. I never thought he was so off that he would've lost it like that when you two ended it.”
You nodded
“He was boring.”
When the knock on the door arrived, your mother shot off her chair. Your father stayed stiff and you followed suit.
“Oh, you've grown so tall.” She held his face between her hands for a moment, “Handsome, just like your father.” Bradley smiled wide, embracing her again, “It’s good to see you too.”
Bradley took in her scent as he hugged her, feeling how much more frail she had been than the last time he saw her. The guilt gripped his heart.
“Now come on, I made some of Carole's lasagna and set the table.”
Toeing off his shoes he made his way into the home, still familiar with the path to the dining table.
“Sir.” His back straightened, Beau sighed, “At ease Bradshaw, you're in my home not on base, formalities don’t exist here”
“Damn straight they don’t.” Your mother's cheerful voice cut in, earning a small smile from your father.
“Bradley.” You nodded.
He gave a small smile, one so tense you thought he might pull a cheek.
“Dear, could you go get the drinks? I left them in the kitchen.” Pulling yourself up, you heard your mother’s bombardment of questions. She didn’t hold back asking Bradley about the last decade of his life, they did have a lot to catch up after all.
By the time you made it back to the table, your mother was asking the hard-hitting questions,
“So, are you dating anyone? Engaged perhaps?” Bradley choked slightly on his drink.
“Uh.. no ma’am. No engagement and no girlfriend.”
Your mom frowned, “I was hoping for some grandbabies and now I'm hearing I probably won’t have any at all!” Her arms went up in the air. Your dad and you eyed each other, knowing she was putting on a show. Snuffing your snickers you silently chewed. Unfortunately for Bradley, your mom wasn’t quite done.
“Honey, you’re gonna be a spinster by the time your good years are up! You're young and healthy! This is the time to make a couple babies.”
Bradley burned red and none of you could hold back your laughter.
“Okay Mom, give Bradley a breather, anymore baby talk and I think he’ll start babbling like one…It did take him a while to grow out of baby talk.” You snickered and he softly glared at you, “Bringing up my dark past I see.”
Your mother and father gave each other a soft smile.
Dinner wore on and your mother's efforts had paid off, everyone had relaxed and spread out to the living room for some photo album viewing.
She was entrenched in showing the photos of you and Bradley on a family trip to the Sequoias. Climbing trees and chasing each other with fake snakes.
“Carole thought you two were the cutest thing, wherever you went, Bradley was sure to follow. He was terrified of the fake snakes and you grabbed four in the gift shop and started chasing him.”
“Okay, you’re making it sound like I was a little menace.”
“I’d have to agree that you were. I never quite got over my fear of snakes…” Bradley smirked, earning him a small shove from you.
Your mother yawned, flipping through a couple more photos before another yawn followed.
“I think it’s time someone got to bed.” Beau had wrapped around the couch and put a blanket on your mother's shoulders.
“It is a little late, I should be heading back to base.”
“That you should, we have early morning training tomorrow.”
“Honey, can you walk Bradley out to his car? I suddenly feel exhausted.” You nodded, standing and motioning for Bradley to follow.
He got his shoes on and embraced your mother once more before leaving, “Now you come back and visit me, you hear me? I want to see your face as much as possible little Goose.” All he could do was nod, “I will. So much that you’ll be sick of me.” He smiled at her once more, watching as your father walked her up the stairs.
The breeze was welcomed as you stepped out. It had been getting warm inside, your cheeks slightly flush from all the laughing.
“Quite a trip down memory lane huh?” He asked, giving you a small side glance.
“I completely forgot how scared of fake snakes you were.”
“I wonder why…” You shoved him again.
You both approached his car, standing awkwardly for a few moments.
“I didn’t realize how…” He cleared his throat. “How sick she was?”
He nodded grimly.
“Yeah.”
You swallowed hard.
“She’s been fighting really hard.”
You both went quiet again.
You started at the paint on the Bronco, a small dent at the base of the driver's side, from where you and Bradley had been playing a game of baseball gone wrong. A little smile grew on your face.
“You should come by more often.” You looked at him, “I know we don’t… don’t get along like we used to. But we aren’t sure how chemo is gonna treat her this time…She really missed you.”
Bradley’s eyes stung. He’d seen his mother go through this, and seeing your mother today had brought painful memories to the surface again. He let out a shaky breath, “I will. I’ll come by as often as I can. With training, I’m not sure…I can work something out.” You nodded once more, “Drive safe Bradley.”
“Goodnight Bugs.”
You watched him drive off. Standing outside for a minute, letting the air cool you before your father came to the door, “You coming in?”
“Yeah. I just needed some air.”

part 1 || part 2 || part 3
xxx i'm alive, i'm just not well
Louisa is surprised when River calls her on a Wednesday morning, and a little concerned. He's been home from hospital for a little over a week and she hasn't heard from him at all, except for one-word responses or thumbs-up emojis when she's texted him to check in.
"Hi. You alright?" she says as soon as she answers.
"Yeah, erm. I just had a favor to ask, if you wouldn't mind. And if the answer is no, then that's fine, just-"
"What do you need, River?" Louisa interrupts, not angrily but she's leaving soon and it sounds like the favor might be a big one.
"Could you give me a ride to work?"
Louisa makes a face. His tone had made it sound like he was going to ask for a huge loan, or help hiding a body. "Don't you have another week of leave?"
"I mean, yes, technically. But I'm losing my mind here, Louisa. I cannot take another day of sitting around in my flat. I'd get a cab, but these crutches are a pain. Please?"
"Did Lamb say you're good to come in?"
"I...haven't asked him. Better to ask forgiveness than permission and all that."
"Right," Louisa scoffs. "Because Lamb is famously a very forgiving man."
"Please, Louisa." There's a hint of genuine desperation in his voice that weakens any reservations Louisa might have had and she sighs.
"Can you be ready in ten minutes?"
"I'm ready now," River says, the relief and eagerness in his voice painfully evident. "Thank you. Coffee's on me."
"There won't be time to pick up coffee and you."
"Okay, then, drinks after work are on me. Or coffee tomorrow. Whichever."
Louisa smiles and rolls her eyes. "Yeah, alright. I'll see you soon, River."
As she drives to River's apartment, she tries to imagine what he's been doing for the past week and is slightly appalled when she comes up with nothing. It's not that she doesn't know him. If anything, they've grown a lot closer the past few months. And now with everything with his granddad, and what she's learned of his parents recently, she feels like she knows him better than ever (maybe more than either of them want). But she has no idea what he does outside of work. He could tell her he does ballet, or collects pieces for an elaborate Christmas village, and she wouldn't be more surprised than if she found out he likes putting together jigsaw puzzles or bingeing Netflix. Somehow, she doesn't think he does any of those things. She's not sure he does anything outside of work.
That would explain why he's so eager to get back. Not that she can judge him for that; Lord knows she's used that place as an escape from her feelings herself.
Louisa parks across the street from River's flat. She doesn't see him on the pavement, so she calls him. The phone rings and rings; he doesn't answer. Suppressing a sigh, she gets out of the car, then changes her mind about suppressing it and sighs, loudly, because being annoyed with River feels better than the worry that's trying to take root in her stomach.
She finds him sitting on his stairs, halfway down with his crutches on the steps beside him. For a second it's funny, but only for a second because then she sees the expression on his face. She's not sure she's ever seen him look so angry. Red rises in his cheeks when he sees her.
"It's these fucking things," he practically spits, giving his crutches a shove and sending one of them clattering toward Louisa. "And these fucking stairs. I fucking hate this!"
Louisa's brow furrows as she starts up the steps toward him. "They did say it would be harder going down than up," she says, trying for levity. He just scowls.
"Yeah, no kidding."
"How have you been getting down before this?" Louisa asks, and River lets out a short, bitter laugh.
"I haven't."
Louisa blinks. "You've just been in your flat for a week straight?"
He shrugs.
"What about groceries?"
"I've been eating a lot of takeaway."
She sighs, reaching toward him to give him a hand up. "Let me help--"
"I don't need help!" River snaps, and Louisa pulls back, frowning. He seems to realize he was too harsh, because some of the fury leaves his expression. "I don't need help," he repeats, and this time he just sounds miserable. "I just need to be better. I'm not well and I need—I need things to be fucking better--"
He cuts himself off with a gasp, his face crumbling. He looks utterly defeated, on the verge of breaking down completely.
"River..." Louisa sits on the steps next to him, and apparently that's the push that sends him over the edge.
He lets out a broken sob, clasping one hand over his mouth like maybe he can push it back, or maybe stop any more from escaping. It accomplishes neither.
"C'mere," Louisa says quietly, scooting closer to him. She puts an arm around his shoulders, feeling a little awkward at first but doing it anyway. He leans against her, and she can feel tremors running through him as he cries. She doesn't say anything. Any concerns about work and being late are forgotten as she holds him.
"I'm so tired," he manages through his tears. "And I'm alone."
There's an ache in Louisa's chest, an old one that hasn't bothered her like this in ages. Her immediate instinct is to push it away, like she's been doing, but something tells her that that's not what River needs right now. She takes a shaky breath.
"I know it feels that way," she says around the growing lump in her throat. "Believe me, River, I know. But you aren't. Or, you don't have to be, anyway."
River doesn't answer, but he seems to be calming down some. He takes a deep, shuddery breath.
"I went and saw him, the day before everything."
Louisa doesn't have to ask who him is. River takes another breath before he continues.
"It was like he was there, but he wasn't. He didn't...didn't speak to me. Didn't look at me. And at first I thought he was just angry with me, that he was deliberately ignoring me, but..." He gives a helpless shrug. "He's been worse since I put him in that place. And I know that what he did, what he gave Harkness...it's unthinkable. But he did it for my mum, and he did it for me. He did everything for me, and I couldn't do the one thing...Fuck."
Louisa holds him a little tighter. "I'm so sorry, River."
"And now I can't even walk down the fucking stairs," River adds with a small, watery laugh. He pulls away from Louisa, wiping at his face. "God, I don't know what all that was about. Sorry."
"You don't need to apologize to me," Louisa says. Her mobile buzzes in her pocket and she pulls it out of her pocket, glancing down at the screen. "Shit."
"What?"
Louisa puts her phone back. "It's Catherine. I'm late and Lamb's pissed."
"Oh! You can go, I'll be...well, I'll manage."
Louisa stands and extends a hand. "You're coming to work. Come on!"
"Louisa..." River begins. "I don't--"
She shakes her head. "Nope! You're coming. And then we're going out for drinks. You promised."
River's brow furrows. "I don't think I promised. But I did say that I'd buy you a drink."
"Drinks. Plural."
"Right. Drinks."
He reaches up and takes her hand and she hauls him upward, helping him get his crutches situated. Once he's upright, he looks down the flight of stairs with a small sigh. And then determination flashes across his features and he takes a deep breath and nods once.
"I've got this."
Louisa smiles. "You've got this."

If you love Chunt so much give us all available chanter facts.
okie dokie!!! if i get any wrong, I'll delete my account (lying). im also not going to just do a full plot recap!! i will have to reference some plot points though so spoilers for Echo VN.
Chunty wunty was born in 1993 between Spring (probably March/April, i don't remember when his spring break was) and November 1st. He is a north american river otter! he was born and raised within Echo.
when he was a child, he was kind of an asshole! using carl's fear of ghosts to get access to carl's game consoles when he wanted to stay the night and frequently telling lies to get what he wants. Chase tells himself via his inner monologue that his dick is huge. on november 1st 2008, chase got caught jacking off to gay porn (fox and horse specifically) by his parents and then spent the rest of the day avoiding them. he got together with leo the day after that. Chase has arachnophobia. chase is bisexual but tells people he's gay cause he says that it is much easier to do that than to explain what bisexual is. at college he had one single edible and had a terrible intense trip lmao man CANNOT handle weed.
Chunt and Jenna thought it would be funny to pull a prank on Leo, this ended up with Chase breaking up with Leo. he suffers from sleep paralysis, hallucinations, and dissociation because sam-entity is possessing him. he has a somewhat artificial interest in journalism and photography and only really chose that field because Jenna suggested it to him when she told him to try to leave Echo. speaking of Jenna, Chaunter drove her out of Echo and to Payton to escape her abusive family.
after chase broke up with Leo and went off to college, he would still send Leo a bunch of sexually charged messages telling him how he missed Leo when drunk. he's such a messy bitch (affectionate). Chase and Carl used to be roommates in college before Carl dropped out. then Chase roomed with a rabbit and then Vincent. he was a very average student. chase used to have an anchor bracelet that he and Leo wore to symbolize their relationship* *yo i fucking cried when writing this sentence. that got me so emotional holy shit.
this is long so here is a break. more under the cut :3
he stopped wearing the bracelet during college. Chase drowned Sydney because he felt as if Sydney would eventually kill TJ. he then subconsciously suppressed this memory. he used to see a psychiatrist and take meds because he saw a body hanging in the woods shortly after Sydney's death.
Chase has a noticeable but not apparent gay accent. like that valley girl twang. stereotypical gay voice. he has said "haaii" he has said "hey, bee-otch" and he has said "hiiiiiiii~". when he and Leo first got together, they ended up sort of neglecting their other friends. Chase only was available to drive Jenna to Payton because he and Leo were fighting and thus not speaking to each other.
once TJ asked Chase how he knew he was into men, and Chase told him to go to a porn website. Chase loves to swim! he also stinks. Chase's musk actually apparently turns people off, especially on dating sites. speaking of, Chase is on Predatr, a dating app (parody of grindr)
Chase's mom calls his arachnophobia "his little spider problem". chase used to think he was strictly gay but realized that wasn't quite right sometime during his late teens/early 20s. CHase doesn't finish his school project in time in a vast majority of the routes. Chase, Jenna, and Leo used to play platformers together before Leo could really understand english, "double jump that sucker" became a in-joke between the three. the two of them helped Leo learn english.
in Flynn's route, Chase has exactly one good and successful publication before his journalism career goes downhill. he is 26 when he meets Devon and Cameron in Echo. in leo's route Chase is 22/23 when he visits with his boyfriend Kudzu. Chase's whereabouts after TJ's route is unknown! terrifying given how that route ended!
Chase has a body count of 2, killing Sydney and Flynn (only in TJ's route). In Carl's route, Chase once again rooms with Carl in college. Chase is a fucking kinkshamer. Chase tends to assume all christians are homophobic and subtly had behaved rudely to TJ and his family because of this despite their love of him.
when he was 15 he put a fucking gay dating ad seeking a "friend/mentor" while pretending his was 18 by taking a photo of him on a roller coaster and blurring out the face. this plan did not work and he was banned from the sight. probably has a small bladder cause he needs to piss a lot!
Chase went through an emo phase where he frosted his hair tips. god i wish we saw that. Chase thought his little goatee would grow into a full beard. it did not. Chase Hunter is my babygirl!! Chase and Leo went to TJ's christian party thing and spent the entire party making out in Leo's car. Chase bottomed for most of his relationship with Leo. Chase is 5'7. Chase once had Leo put his dick in a hotdog bun and was "shocked" at the result according to Leo. Chase is attending Pueblo University, can't believe i hadn't put that one down yet
Chase's legs are described as "stubby" and he isn't a great runner because of it. Chase doesn't like the idea of getting more help for his issues after having poor experiences with them as a kid. Chase used to get bullied sort of by Clint and Jeremy. Leo's family loved Chase when they were dating. Chase has a high amount of leg specific injuries across the entire vn.
Chase's original last name was going to be Cooper according to Howly. Chase is the first ECHO PROJECT PROTAGONIST!!!! BABYGIRL MADE HISTORY!!!!
im ending it there cause i have work in the morning :/
part 2 maybe ;3
#chase and I are getting married <3<3<3#you are all invited#does this prove my love anon? do you see what Chase means to me?#chunter <3#chase <3#chase hunter#chase hunter echo#we chunt together#echo vn#don't call me leo coded

Crimson Rivers thoughts pt. 46
chapter 70:
1. “And now the furniture is covered in dust, the books haven't been touched, the flowers are dead, the food has spoiled, and all the little pieces of himself from before feel foreign to him, like they're from a complete stranger.”
why did i blindly hope that crimson rivers couldn’t get more sad??
2. “Regulus couldn't have imagined it, then. Barty dying. Being dead. He was safe, aged out from reapings, and he would have made it if the war hadn't taken him.”
i want to gnaw on something. this is driving me crazy. i need to go eat dirt oh my god
3. every time i briefly forget about evan in this fic, his name is name dropped like a fucking bomb from the sky and i literally want to break a window
4. “And then there's Sirius, who barely knows what to do with his own pain, struggling to balance it, like he's not allowed to have it, feeling like an imposter for simply daring to grieve a man who wasn't his father as a father, as if that man didn't love him as a son.” the monty and sirius bond are still making me cry, actually
5. “I know I will be dead long before you read this,”
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
once again, had to voice memo my freind
6. welcome back to another round of lily vs the fridge
7. mary: you love dorcas
lily: NOOO!!! only you babes 😘
mary: fucking dumbass
8. idk how to explain it, but i’m glad that mary and lily (and dorcas and marlene) had such complex relationships. they weren’t just the badass lesbians who had it all together and had a perfect relationship that scoffed at the silly boys. they love just as hard and fumble just as hard. their relationships are far from perfect and are very messy. i love it
9. “His dad watched these flowers bloom.
His dad never saw them die.”
*eye twitch*
10. maybe i shouldn’t blame dorcas, but i’m kinda pissed at her for not showing up to marlene’s funeral
11. “Barty got a funeral, too. Regulus planned that one, and you could tell, because it was done so delicately.”
screaming crying throwing up
what if i never spoke again? as like some sort of stupid protest? as like a statement to show how upset i am over bartys death? huh?? what would you do then bizzarestars????? huh?????????
12. “Vanity got honored as a war hero in the Hallow, a statue raised in her honor on the castle grounds, replacing Riddle's legacy.” i’m actually losing my mind. i want to shovel grass in my mouth and chew stained glass. idk or drink a latte or something
13. bro i’m so mad that sirius was 100% right about how james wouldn’t grieve around him, always wanting to take care of sirius, which is why he has to leave. i’m so mad. i’m so mad. this is gonna hurt
14. “”Fucking hell, James, we're still in love, so calm down. It's—it's not an actual breakup, you know."” -sirius
😭😭😭 they’re such soulmates omg
15. oh god it hurt more than i thought. james thought sirius was about to break the news about remus leaving. not sirius leaving. james never once considered that sirius would leave
16. SNSKDNJSNSMSKSM THEYRE KISSING YAY OMG JEGULUS KISSS OMGGG AFTER LITERALLY TWO MONTHS THEYRE KISSING AGAIN
chapter 71:
1. “[Regulus] is such a sweet boy, and yes, yes, [Effie] has seen him murder, but that matters very little to her, overall” me talking about my favorite characters 🥰
2. wolfstar
currently wanting to gnaw through concrete and plywood over them
3. “Remus also calls Lily every day. They're more discreet about it, not practically confessing their love and trying to make out through the screen the way James and Sirius do”
remus: this is my boyfreind sirius, and that’s my boyfreind’s boyfreind, james ♥️
4. remus thinking of sirius as a helicopter parent towards regulus has me in fucking tears omg that’s so funny
5. “That's the first time they have sex after the war, when Remus tells Sirius how he made Riddle pay for all that he'd done.”
idk, but that’s not the sentence i was expecting
6. 😭😭😭 remus realizing that lyall never liked any of his ex boyfreinds, and the fact that he approves of sirius, the murderer, is laughable
7. jealous sirius kissing remus within an inch of his life 😭😭😭
8. “It's no secret that Sirius likes the hickies, but it's not just him; the truth is, the only thing Remus likes more than getting to put them there is getting to see them there.”
uhhh um uhhhhh hot
9. 👀 they getting nasty
10. james being a teacher >>>>>>>>>>>
11. what are sirius and regulus gonna get up to?
12. it’s heartbreaking that lily and mary have to raise bingley. on one hand, it’s domestic and it’s their little family. on the other hand, they never should have had to do this. lily cooks and tucks him into bed and raises him. but she’s not his mom. and mary raises bingley. but she’s not his mom. and it’s so scary to navigate this
13. THE BAGELS
14. james’ knife kink >>>>>>>>>
15. omg i’m a blubbering mess. they have a home together!!!
16. hello!???? they’re dancing together????? in their home?????? what if i burst into tears?????
17. AWWWWW JAMES PROPOSED AGAIN

It’s Hurts Me So Much
Bradley Bradshaw x Reader
Warnings: low self esteem issues, negative self-talk, arguments, angst, fluff, hurt/comfort,finding,protective/fluffy bradley bradshaw, reader and bradley verbally hurt eachother, Bradley isn’t innocent, dw angel and bradley are till death do us part, mention of past abuse, mention of drink driving , Bradley’s a dick for a bit, happy endings tho
Summary: It was your fault, you knew one day Bradley would get tired of your insecurities. And that one day is now— at this point you couldn’t blame him. He’s been doing this for five years— you guessed today was his breaking point.
reader nickname is Angel
A/N : this is set after the uranium mission preferably after Hold Me Baby
- apart of FALLEN ANGEL Series
******
One thing for certain the fight ended the minute you flinched from Bradley’s touch.
******
It was textbook knowledge to know that every marriage isn’t perfect and any couple who said otherwise was just spewing bullshit. You knew that—your pretty sure Bradley knew that too but it didn’t stop your brain from forming insecure thoughts about your relationship.
Are you too clingy?
Were your insecurities too much for him to handle?
Was he tired of you?, “I won’t be surprised Y/n, Bradley can only love his broken angel for so long before he gives into urge and leaves you”.
The insecure part of your brain told you relentlessly.“How can he love someone so broken and useless like you?”.
“I don’t know”. He said again. “I don’t know Y/n”.
“I’m sorry Bradley, I just wanted to spend time with love of my life for a change!”. tears welled in your eyes. “You’ve been spending more time with the daggers than you have with me”.
“I’m tired Y/n!” he yelled back at you.“I’m so fucking tired of this Y/n”.
His fist clenched at his sides.“Please, please dont hit me” you quietly thought.
Your standing infront of him with tears in your eyes.
You couldn’t help but cry, why is he being so mean to you?
“I come home from training all day, taking orders all day long— and I have to come home to you.. to a woman who can’t think without a few insecurities taking over her daily life”. He barked at you.
How could he throw that in my face?
You shrink back. “Well I’m so sorry you married me—”. You were doing a piss job at keeping the tears from falling down your face— your pretty sure your ending this argument with mascara streaks.
“So am I Y/n” he interrupted. “It’s so sick and tiring listening to you talk about your insecurities every day”.
“Ok, Lieutenant Bradshaw you win this time, I keep forgetting you care more about your job than me”. Your voice cracking.“I guess our vows mean nothing to y-you right?”.
“Y/n!” Bradley moved towards you.
And out of reflex you step back with your hands infront of your face.
“Please don’t hit me Bradley” those words were meant to be kept inside your head— not outside your mouth, left lingering in the air.
Suddenly his anger is gone, fading away into the abyss the moment he realized he caused you distress.
“Angel I—”.
My actions triggered her flight or fight response.
“I’m sorry” you murmured.
“Y/n please talk to me, i’m so sorry”, Bradley sits down on the bed behind him- trying make himself less threatening.
“It’s okay Bradley— It’s fine, I’m fine” you attempt to sound confident in your answer even throwing on a fake smile to prove it.
He knew you to well. “What happened Angel?” Bradley holds his hand out— you take it with tears in your eyes.
Your still standing, he’s still on the bed.
He’s showing you he’s not a threat.
“No it isn’t Angel”. He starts and Bradley has to stop a river of tears from making his face wet. “If my parents were still alive they’d whoop my ass from here to bum fuck nowhere”.
His jaw clenches“I made a promise to you and I broke it”.
You breathe—taking a deep breathe.“I’m really fine Bradley”. You insisted— you really don’t walk down memory lane.
“Talk to me Y/n, I’m not going to bed until we resolve this—talk about this”.
Like I said he knows me to well. If we go bed like this I’ll spend the entire night awake thinking about how all of this is my fault.
Mister Know it all.
He’s not letting this go.
You step away from him— turning around facing the doorway. “I can’t look at him and say it”.
You don’t attempt to stop the tears this time.
“My ex used to hit me alot, whenever we got into arguments they would also end with me in the shower washing my blood off of me… I didn’t leave him until he got in trouble for drunk driving”.
You told him, confessing about about a part of your life that kept in the back of your head. You gave up on not crying.
“Y/n thats never happening again” Bradley swore to you, “C’mere”. he whispers to you.
“I know you wouldn’t”. Your still facing the doorway, unable to bring yourself to him.
“I’m sorry I yelled at you Angel” he grabs your hands, gently pulling you to him. “Me being tired of work is no excuse for the way I acted”.
“I forgive you Bradley” you look up at him with a small smile on your face. “But you have to clean up Orbit’s dog shit for a week”.
“Oh really?” he pouting at you with a sly smile present on his face.
“Really Mr. Bradshaw”. pinching his sides softly. “Pretty sure Orbit took a shit right next to your car”. you giggle at Bradley’s horrifed facial expression.
“Of course he did” Bradley huffed. “I love you Mrs. Bradshaw”. He reaches down giving you a firm kiss on the top of your head.
“I love you too Mr. Bradshaw, but you still have clean up dog shit”. you smiled— holding his hand in yours.
“Damn it, well I tried”.

Breaking News: Branch from Brozone got arrested for drunk driving...
Branch Left Guy Diamond's party, not knowing that he was highly intoxicated and speeding. The cops caught onto him, and when news broke that Branch from Biozone got arrested, everyone was shocked, even his girlfriend, Queen Poppy. They all wanted to go down to the station to visit Branch, but they weren't allowed to for some reason. Branch did meet some old friends way back in the Trolls band together.
-------------------------------------------
As the cops opened, the Branch's jail cell was tiny cause he was just a troll. Branch was just sitting there across from him. I was the superstar twins who used to be as Velvet saw Branch. "Hey you!" she called out as Branch looked around "Over here, peanut brains." veneer called out as Branch saw across from him it was the twins "Good to see you, the guy who got us arrested." velvet said with her usual sass
"umm veneer was the one who got you both arrested Plus you did kidnap and nearly kill my brother and your attitude hasn't changed much after all those years." branch replied
"No, I did not! Wait, did I? Oh, haha, yes, I totally got us arrested." Veneer said
"What brings you in there?" veneer asked. "Did karma finally hit you?" velvet asked, not making eye contact with the blue troll
"Let's just say I was a bad boy; I did some bad thing; I swear I did it all for fun, and it meant nothing," Branch said. "And then what happened?" veneer asked. Veneer was way more interested than Velvet was in why Branch got arrested.
"Another late night, another crazy mood, And I didn't think twice what it would do to me. I was a wild troll at one of my friend's parties; he threw it because he wanted to welcome my brothers into the troll village, and I drank too much, and It was a matter of time before I blew it." Branch reply
"Let me guess, your step wasn't NSYNC? when the cops pulled you over please that's worse than what we did." velvet said
"You literally almost killed my big brother!" branch snapped at Velvet. "Cry me a river, old man." velvet said, rolling her eyes at him
"Anyways, moving on, when the cops pulled me over and started asking me questions, I thou shall not lie, and I also Thou shall not get caught, so they made me do those line steps." the branch said
"again, old man, they were out of sync rather than NSYNC, and there you are ending up just like us, stuck in jail," Velvet said
"Karma a bitch, little dude." veneer replied
"I should've known better. If I had a wish, I would've never messed around," Branch said
"When I heard the story of me getting arrested, I felt the knife twist," Branch said
"Well, hate to be you but Karma's a bitch, and she's with you right now," Velvet replied...

Life Lesson: Don't be like Justin Timberlake and drive drunk. It could hurt others and you, so please, if you do drink, get yourself an Uber or call your parents. It could really save someone's life... Don't drink and drive..... <3 ------------------------
I won't be opening requests due to time conflicts with my real life. I also have to tackle two jobs, and they do take time to write, but if you want to ask me any questions, feel free to private message me. I will respond to them :). Hope you all have a great day/night wherever you are <3

The Interview - Chapter 25
The Interview - A Captain America Fanfic
Masterlist PREVIOUS //
Rating: E
Warnings: smut (MF, vaginal sex)
Pairing: Steve Rogers x OFC Melody Danes
Word Count: 1845
Summary: Melody Danes gets the break of a lifetime when as a lowly intern, she’s assigned to write a profile piece on Captain America. Steve Rogers is a hard man not to fall for and as she and Melody get closer and Melody’s career takes off, jealousy leads to sabotage, and the potential to bring her whole world crashing down.
Chapter 25
After the blow-up at breakfast, things calmed again. Melody’s parents were walking on eggshells for the rest of the morning. Which made everything slightly awkward, but that was okay, Melody had assumed it would be uncomfortable regardless of any confrontations, and if that was the case they might as well clear the air.
After breakfast, she and Steve showered and dressed before taking Steve to meet the Jacob sheep and chickens, and then into the town for lunch. She considered driving up to Portland with him to put a little distance between them and her family for a little while. Ultimately, she decided that it would just eat up the entire day for what was essentially spite. So they spent the afternoon watching Stand By Me so that she could point out things from her hometown that featured in the movie.
It was a calm day in the end. Everyone had dinner together, and River being there helped calm the storm that had been hanging over the house. Best of all, everyone seemed to like Steve. While she hadn’t cared too much if her parents did like him or not, she’d wanted Steve and River to get along.
The whole day she’d kept randomly checking socials and texting with Bobbi. The news never changed. It was just people gossiping about her relationship with Steve. The new thread seemed to be that they were in some kind of PR relationship, which didn’t even make sense given being a celebrity didn’t help Steve with his job at all, so he’d gain nothing from being linked with her. She knew it would be better to just try and ignore it, but it was like a scab she couldn’t stop picking at.
All in all, with everything that had happened, not just today but for the past few days, Melody was emotionally exhausted. She called it a night early and headed to bed. The idea was to journal about everything to try and get her thoughts in order.
There was one problem with that though, as she searched through her things, she couldn’t find her journal anywhere. She pulled everything out of her suitcase and then out of her handbag, and no journal. Things had been so hectic. Normally she always had it with her, but maybe in the rush, she never put it in her handbag before she went to work.
Steve came into the room while she was shaking out pieces of clothing to see if it had gotten tangled up in one of them. “Did you lose something?” he asked.
“My journal,” she said. “You haven’t seen it, have you? I usually have it in my handbag. But so much has been going on. I can’t remember when I last took it out.”
He shook his head. “Sorry, honey. I haven’t noticed it. I don’t think you took it out on the plane though. But I can send a message to the crew. It’s Tony’s plane, they wouldn’t have tossed it out.”
“That might be good,” she said. “I might message Bobbi too. Just in case.”
“That’s a good idea,” Steve said, crawling up on the bed beside her. The way he moved was like he was an animal stalking its prey. She laughed and tilted her head as he began to kiss her collarbone and neck. “Did you want to write tonight? You could always use one of your old notebooks, right?” Steve murmured into her skin.
She turned and wrapped her arms around his shoulders, pulling her toward him as she lay back on the bed. “It’s okay. I have another stress reliever that will work just as well.”
Steve kissed her, guiding her back and wrapping his arms around her waist so he could lift her hips to move her into the middle of the mattress. She arched her back and dug her nails into his shoulders.
They stayed in that position for a while, just kissing and holding each other. She needed this. Needed to get out of her head and let Steve love her. The longer they kissed the more her body melted into him. When her lips went numb, she began to tug his shirt up his back. He pulled back and pulled it off over his head. She took the opportunity to pull her own shirt off and swing one of her legs around Steve, so he was kneeling between her legs.
“This feels a little bad being in your childhood room,” Steve said as he went to unfasten her pants.
She grinned up at him. “It’s fun, isn’t it?”
He bit his bottom lip and nodded, then lunged in to kiss her again. They kissed deeply and passionately. There was a frantic undertone that was matched with the way they shed the last of their clothes. Melody squirmed under him as she helped him get her pants down, and his open. Neither of them seemed to want to break the kiss, so it was an awkward scrabble to get their remaining clothes off.
Steve had only managed to get his pants down enough to free his cock and he was pressing it up against her cunt. She moaned, arching her back and angling her hips so that the tip of Steve’s cock caught, and he sunk into her.
They moaned at once, his bass in perfect harmony with her alto. It resonated in the room and Steve kissed her to smother the sound. It just made her moan louder and she bucked her hips and dug her nails into his shoulders, her nails digging perfect crescents into his unblemished skin.
“Honey,” Steve whispered. “You’re going to need to be quiet.”
She giggled and shook her head. “You might need to make me.”
He looked down at her with darkened eyes. “Oh I see,” he said.
His hand went to her mouth, two of his fingers pushing inside as he tried to smother the sounds she was making. She moaned, sucking on his fingers and arching her back off the mattress. She pulled one leg up, and he moved, so her ankle was hooked over his shoulder. She was stretched out and open under him. Silently pleading with him to start moving. He felt so deep, and when he moved his hips forward, there was a sharp sting against her cervix that made her hiss and buck up.
He pulled back right away, almost pulling out completely and he held himself there, the tip of his cock just inside her. She mewled and her toes curled, and when she felt like she wasn’t going to be able to take this teasing one second longer, he began to thrust.
Melody arched her back, and her toes curled as Steve began to methodically pull her apart. Each stroke of his hips was deliberate and measured. He pushed in deep but always stopped just short of hitting her cervix and each time he pulled out the base of his cock rubbed against her clit. It was so exact and careful and yet he was moving at breakneck speed. His hips pistoned creating a rapid-fire series of wet cracks each time their bodies connected. A hot current tore through Melody’s body and she felt helpless to do anything other than completely surrender to it. She clung to him, fingernails digging into his back and heels shoving into his muscles as she held on for dear life.
The whole time, Steve kept his hand over her mouth and held her gaze with lust-blown eyes. She mewled into his hand, sucking on his fingers. It made it just that little bit harder to draw in breath and soon she was panting with effort, her head going soft and swimmy as her orgasm drew nearer. He knew how to play her body like an instrument. Not one move was wrong and she was doing all she could just to hold out that little bit longer.
Pleasure wound around her like vines on a stone pillar. They wrapped around each of her muscles one by one and when her orgasm hit, they pulled tight in sequence from her toes to her head, making her clench up as it tore through her. She cried out, cursing around Steve’s fingers, but the sound was muffled by his hand, and stars popped behind her eyes
Steve, however, was nowhere near close to being done.
He pulled out of her and grabbing her hips, he flipped her onto her stomach. She gasped and squealed with delight, getting on her hands and knees in front of him, pushing her ass back against his cock. He grabbed her hips and with one smooth stroke, he shoved deep inside her. It made a graphic wet squelch when he shoved back in.
Melody was shoved forward with the force of the thrust and her arms gave out immediately. She let herself lie there, ass in the air and face pressed into the mattress as Steve railed into her. She let out a loud moan, pressing her face right down into her pillow to smother the sound.
“That’s it,” Steve praised. “Good girl. Don’t want anyone to hear us.”
He ran his hand up her spine and pushed it into her curls. The sting in her scalp was enough to bring the start of a second orgasm surging to the edge. She mewled, gritting her teeth, trying to keep it together. Her legs trembled with the effort. It was no use. Steve wrapped his hand around her waist and began to rub her clit.
Her orgasm tore through her, and she screamed into her pillow as her whole body seized up with it. Steve kept thrusting, his strokes becoming more erratic as the pulse of her cunt milked his cock.
“Please, Steve,” she begged. “Please. I need it.”
He groaned and his hand tightened in her hair. “Melody,” he moaned as his hips stuttered, and with one more hard thrust, he came, biting into her shoulder to stifle the sound of his moan.
She collapsed down on the mattress and Steve rolled off her, and for a while they just lay there, breathing heavily as they rode out their orgasm highs.
“How was that?” Steve asked. “Did that clear your head?”
She laughed softly and nodded. “Yeah… mostly.”
He looked at her and cradled her cheek, brushing his thumb over her cheekbone. “You still need to write it out though, don’t you?”
She scrunched her nose and nodded. “I think so.”
He patted her thigh. “How about this; you find something to journal on, and I’ll draw. Then maybe we can do that again before we go to sleep.”
She laughed and kissed him. “Thank you, honey.”
It didn’t take her too long to dig out both an old sketchbook and pencils, and a half-empty journal and a pen. When they were settled on the bed she started to write out all the feelings about what had transpired over the past three days, starting with how lucky she felt to have Steve Rogers in her life.

The Outsiders a New Musical Cast Recording Reaction
Here you go @its-a-hare-pom-pom
Please note: I do not actually know the voices of who is who. I am having to assume who is who in some of the songs so I'm doing my best. I looked up a cast list for this. This is confusing and I'd need several more listens through to figure out who is and that's probably not gonna happen anytime soon (ya'll fill find out why in a later post).
Also, I curse a lot and there's a brief mention of suicide in my section on I could talk to you all night, so be warned.
Tulsa '67: Interesting how they changed Johnny's jumping to just a week before the events of the musical. I don't mind that change. I kinda like it? Maybe?
Okay. I need to rant a bit here. I grew up just a day's drive from Tulsa in a town not very dissimilar from it. Just switch East and West and you're halfway there. (Meaning in my city the East side was the old money and West was more of everyone else/the new money side of town).
Ponyboy's diatribe about how people get stuck in the town for life hits home for me because, like, of the nearly 300 person graduating class from my highschool, a vast majority of them went to school either in town or within the state. While I'm technically still in the state, I'm right across the river from our neighboring state so the line's a bit funky. I feel his longing to get the hell out. I feel the sort of resentment he feels towards Darry, who could've been a sports star had circumstances panned out differently. I feel his heartache for Soda when he mentions that his girlfriend up and left and broke his heart. My little sister and younger brother are both up-and-coming in similar ways to Darry (albeit a different sport for my sister) and Soda. The only real difference is that my family isn't just above the poverty line. In this economy maybe we're starting to slip down there, but if that's the only difference... shit. I'm in for a ride.
Moving on...
Grease got a Hold: I did watch the performance of this for Good Morning America or whatever it showed up on so this isn't my first time listening. This is the first time I can't tell who is who. I looked up the cast so I think the first singer is Dally? IDK. It's the whole gang except Johnny. This is when I discovered that Steve was in fact a named ensemble character.
Not my favorite song. But I'm sure that it introduces everyone well. I don't mind it, just def my least favorite of the ones I'd heard before.
Runs in the Family: I'm pretty sure it's a Darry song. Shit. I feel this song. I am literally Darry in this song, except I have parents, they're just not around a whole lot due to work.
I think I mentioned here that I work at a Nursing home. And especially during the winter if I worked twelves (luckily I'm PRN, so I can pick up shorter shifts) I'd be in before the sun and out after it. That is one of the worst feelings I've ever felt. You feel like you didn't do a damn thing but your so tired you can't do anything so you end up getting down and just scrolling while you eat and you barely have energy to grab something to eat. Had I not been still living at home I would have just gone through a drive through. You are a different kind of tired after a long day of taking people to the toilet and passing meds and working with memory care patients as they sundown.
So while I'm not a roofer, I'm not out every night working till midnight, I think I can relate to Darry the best out of the three here, being an eldest daughter an all especially. I like this song as a character set up, though I have to point out it sounds like he's whining but I also know I've done this so like... I can't complain if I wanna keep my whining privileges.
Great Expectations: This is the first song out, I'm sure we've all heard it. It's about Ponyboy relating to Pip, one of the characters in the book Great Expectations I think by Charles Dickens. I never read it in school I think due to Covid so...
That being said, great song. Still very much relate to him and his wanting to get the hell outta town but feeling trapped by family and obligations. Like I get the kid is only fourteen, and S.E. Hinton was about this age when she wrote this but it is raw and I still feel it.
Come on, we've all felt like everyone expects everything of us and have just wanted to get swept up in a fictional reality where shit is hard but we know everything will be just fine in the end, right? Right?
The line about Darry hits harder after Runs in the Family. His bit about Johnny has always hit me too, because I've always wondered (anxiously, of course) about what my life would've been like had I been born to different parents. And as much as I think about that, pretty sure I'm lucky to have what I have and I'll take it over worse.
Friday at the Drive-in: So there is also a drive in in my city, and I've been several times. I freakin' love it, and it's kind of sad that they're disappearing. This chapter/scene/song has always been a favorite of mine in all Outsiders media. I love Cherry's actress. She's able to do a more country/southern accent without it sounding like a characture. Kudos to her. I'm sure this song is really cool to see in person.
I Could Talk to You All Night: Confession time: I don't like Cherry. I understand that maybe she does have a rough life, but it has always rubbed me wrong the way she told Ponyboy it's "rough all over". Bitch, both his brothers work to keep their house you shut up. Like I went through highschool with my mom hurt, grandpa dying, Covid, a whole lotta other shit and some kid literal told me to off myself b/c I got in his space while practicing a tap number for the musical. Also, I was working through the entire school year. It wasn't terribly uncommon among my peers, but to be in the musical was a sacrifice on my part and we just... we couldn't see under each others skin. My school was on the west side and his family was new money, so I guess he and Cherry are alike in my eyes in that way (even had the same hair, lol). I didn't know what was going on with him and I guess when he broke up with his gf (she was a senior and he was a junior) he got better.
That being said, I really like Cherry's character in this song. They see each other beyond the labels for the first time in their lives. It sort of feels like a love song, but also not so much, and I really dig it. I may eat my words later but I like this version of Cherry. She comes off a lot less snooty than book/movie Cherry. Its so cute.
Runs in the Family (Reprise): Shit. Darry. Okay. The silent oldest sibling burden has fucking snapped. Bro. This is so good. Seeing what all was going on behind his outburst at Ponyboy. Shit. Shit. Shit. I'm even more in love with Darry's character. Shit. The oldest sibling being a parent when the parents aren't there. The younger siblings all leading into it. The abrupt stop that is Darry slapping Pony. I wanna scream IT IS SO FREAKINNG WELL DONEOAWE RUH!!!!!! I can practically hear Pony throwing open the screen door and Darry yelling back that he didn't mean it!I@ :OUhoihlacwijhr ;iuaweh' riu
Far Away From Tulsa: Oh, oh Pony. You're innocene it showing honey. This is the one thing I feel I've got on him is that I actually live on the edge of town, so I really live within a smattering farm fields and disappearing small farm towns. Those people will be judgey as hell, they will stalk you anyway possible to get info on you and there will be rumors. Like I love that you two have a dream, but we're getting into Of Mice and Men territory with Lenny and George (is that his name?) with the rabbit farm.
Also, are they changing Pony and Johnny's motivations? Obviously I'd have to watch this but this sounds like they might be changing their motivations a bit.
The transition into Great Expectations!!! The leitmotif!??! The key change?!?!?! HOLY FUCKING SHITHLIUWE RHF AIVCWH TLGIUAWEHCFIUHA. I'm screaming!!!!! But they're dream sounds like a cowboy western fantasy. And the ending where they talk about that not being in Tulsa... realy gives me pause. I think maybe their motivations changed just a bit? BUt IDK cause I'll never get to fuckin' watch this because I am but a poor midwesterner and Broadway is a bitch.
Run Run Brother: Shit. I love this. The little boys coming to Dally. The only one they can trust to know this. This is the loss of innocence in real time. The implication that he gave them all he had (the 50 bucks) is realized here. The song sounds so frantic. Aggggg. It's so good.
The background: if you're not born into money your born into despair? The background singers are great. Grease isn't given its something you earn??? Shit. Run through the fire your bound to get burned? They really like using fire as a symbol (for obvious reasons).
The transition into "You're a Greaser now and you ain't going back?" Like he literally cannot go back. Johnny killed a kid and Ponyboy would be tried as an accomplice probably. Cheezits this is so fucking good! The wrapping back to earlier songs is so freaking well done! The desperation in whoevers voice pointing out the sign to Windrixville? I love.
Justice for Tulsa: Did they come up with a new character? Are there others? Is this the Greasers talking to each other? Immediatly suspecting Dally? So they added the interrogation that he mentions he got brought into.
Is Cherry at Bob's funeral? Honey, he's an asshole. Like I get he could've been cool but gees. I'm torn up about her. They made her way more complicated. So far I'm glad for Dally and Cherry's sake that they added this scene.
Is this Darry or Soda? No. It's a Soc. Is it Randy? Oh I love his voice. Shit, is she grilling him? She's talking about Johnny. Randy. Are they getting onto her for talking with Pony. What she did wasn't wrong? Yeah, it's a senseless tragedy. If you pushed him into it.
So this is the explanation of how they started jumping Greasers and how that tension switched things up. This might be the Act break? But I'm not sure.
Death's at My Door: Is he talking about his parents dying?
Oof. I feel him. So in my life I had a series of deaths where my grandma died, then two years later my grandpa died (different sides of the family), then a kid at my college died going home for winter break. Then a girl from my highschool died going back to school after winter break. Then working at a nursing home every time, I come back someone else is dead. So, I feel that sentiment that it feels like death is following you. But that is just growing up, and I think this is Ponyboy finally sort of coming to that realization a bit.
Are they adding romantic elements to Pony and Johnny's relationships, or is this just really flirty platonic stuff? Because now I'm confused. And I'm someone who does really flirty platonic shit with my friends.
Throwing in the Towel: Oh it's a Darry song. Oh. Darry feels guilty. Shit. Okay. Is he making up with Soda? I'm a bit upset that Soda has been jipped in here. Long list of failures, same here Darry.
Oh. Soda. Soda, ever the middle child. Trying to keep the peace, trying to hype Darry up. Their being the brothers we always knew they would.
There little harmony part is so good!
Soda's Letter: I have heard this one as well. We are finally getting a Soda song!! But still, ever the middle child, trying to keep the peace between the oldest and the youngest. Dammit. I like that they added context to the letter, since it's a bit briefer in the book/movie.
The fade in of Pony singing over Soda is so good.
Hoods Turned Heroes: I love the name on this. I think this is Two-Bit singing this. Interesting that they skipped over the fire incident and Johnny talking to them at Dairy Queen. I like that it's Soda and Two-Bit in this song. I love them as a duo. And I love that we get a Greaser son in response to Justice for Tulsa.
Interesting how they changed it to 1st degree murder for Johnny's charge, because it was manslaughter and I seriously doubt there's enough evidence to even get second degree murder.
Hopeless War: Another Pony and Cherry song. I do like the musical duo of them so far. He's not wrong about the soc's declaring the war. Cherry's also not wrong, but girlfriend, your privelage is showing.
Shit, she got a point about black and white morality. "Same mistake a thousand times" "Doing what we've all been raised to do."
Shit. I like this version of Cherry. This sounds like a country love ballad and I am all here for it. Seems like act 2, like many musicals I've seen, has fewer/shorter songs.
Geez, Cherry. Okay. I still like the Cherry best out of all of them. But girl, you've gotta understand that this kids got more skin in the game than you do. Girl. IDK, this version of Cherry is just more nuanced and I think that's what she needed.
Trouble: The way Hopeless War tansitions into this song is so fucking good!!!!
So I don't know if this is at the park or the Gang going to the park but holy shit. I love this. Is Darry trying to keep Pony out? Or is Dally? Who is telling him not to fight? Didn't book Darry let him fight??!
Little Brother: I have heard this one before as well. It's a Dally song, and it still makes me awe;u hgseruig. This is my favorite version of the Dally and Johnny relationship because it solidifies the brotherhood and the way that Dally see's Johnny. It's done fairly well in the book but the musical makes it much more clear. Even the movie does it pretty well but I like that it's a bit more spelled out here.
I think I've heard all of these last three songs so they'll maybe be a bit more in depth. Also, I am gonna say this now Grease got a Hold is growing on me as I type.
I don't really like how Johnny feels very shoe horned to the side in this version of events.
Is... is someone singing with him on the second little brother in the first chorus? Could that be Darry or am I just trippin'?
I love the way that they show Dally's descent. Oh. There's a chorus on here with him. They put a different version out on YouTube with just Dally on it. Holy shit. Holy shit!!!! I love his voice so much. When are the lyrics gonna be up I gotta see who sings what in here damn it!!!
Dally. Shit. The part where the music strips and then starts building. This will never not give me shivers. I love the orchestration on this version!
The now into no!!!!! ;jfh;ajwerhf;ija uvaiwrhf;aiu3wh I AM NOT OKAY!!!
Stay Gold: This hurts like a son of a bitch still. I can't really put my words on here, but it really is written like someone who knows they're gonna die and they're wanting to give their family a final message. Which is something you can do on hospice nowadays, but wouldn't have been avaliable in the 60's.
Can't believe we had to wait the whole musical for a Johnny solo song. But I love the touch that a man came to thank Johnny for saving the kids, because in the book that's not mentioned and neither in the movie and I like that touch. They added just a few scenes and all were very well done if not honestly needed.
The fading of Ponyboy reading it with Johnny will never not get me. They use this technique so well throughout the musical. But again with me questioning if this is platonic flirty friend shit or Johnny and Pony being romantically involved somehow? I lean towards platonic flirty friends due to the time period and the fact that they're both on the younger side... but geez.
Johnny telling Pony to tell Dally, when we know Dally is dead and Dally asked him to save a seat and just owehtouwaehrt;ouiawe I am not okay. Will never not hurt.
Finale (Tulsa '67): Is this an older Pony on the first line? Does he get out? Or is that his teacher reading it? Like the acknowledgement of Paul Newman.
Oh. This is so sweet, him turning to the hometown heroes, the little everyday ones.
He got out!!!!!! Him talking about Darry and Soda!!
Ah! They took the one paragraph directly out of the book!!!
Dally!!! Wearing grease for their disguise? Holy shit. Bro. You are killing it! Killing it! The chorus entering!!?!?! The excerpts directly from the book!
"He was just to damn good for growing old? And for his memory I'll stay gold!?!?!??!" Holy shit okay. Emotional damage dealt. You didn't have to do that.
I love me a legacy explaning final number. Shit. I love this. Beautiful ending. I love the jazzy bits.
My phone immediatly jumped me to Non-Stop by Hamilton. Fuck you spotify, didn't need that now.
Final Thoughs: Unfortunately, this is not like Hamilton in the sense that the entire freaking musical minus one song that not terribly necessary for context is on spotify. There are chunks of context missing that make me wonder how else they may have changed the story. If you're someone who's first exposure to the outsiders is this, you're gonna be left with a lot of questions. Luckily, you've got a book and two versions of a Francis Ford Coppala movie, but if this was a stand alone I think I'd be leaving the cast recording fairly confused.
I think it's amazing. I did find out while finding a cast list to compare to the featured artists that Steve is still a character. I also wonder if they're gonna release the track they use for the rumble, since I think that's a seperate track with no real singing? IDK man. I wanna see that so fucking bad.
A little mad about how they downgraded Soda and Two-Bit. I know Two-Bit was more of a minor character but it really felt like Soda got the short end of the stick here. Same with Steve, though he already had the short end so it was only a matter of time. Two-Bit makes sense despite my love of him so I kind of expected that.
Overall, I do like this, but it feels a bit incomplete as I believe some of the most critical plot details have been left for portions of the musical that are acted or spoken, which sucks for us broke ass plebs who don't live within driving distance of Broadway.
So long friends.

Do it For Him.
Poison can come in all kinds of different forms. They can be flavorless or taste sour. Have the smell of something sweet or a chemical. Epel Felmier was commonly seen as the poison in his family though, the downfall of it. He was a child born out of wedlock from a woman named Estelle who had cheated on her husband with a widowed movie actor. Her husband left her when he found out she was having the child of another man and Estelle herself abandoned Epel to live with his grandmother and grandfather.
Epel had heard the story told by his relatives many times and was grateful beyond anything to his grandparents and made sure never to trouble them with his problems. He had never heard of his mother but at the age of three, he overheard his aunt talking with his grandmother. At the age of eight Epel understood the entire story of what his mother had done. There had even been a time he was yelled at for being “a poisonous child” and the children of the parents who saw him that way made sure to remind him daily of how their parents felt.
The early years of his life and the stories he heard of his mother made Epel hate Estelle Felmier. Before he hated her Epel had seen one of her pictures once in his life on accident after finding it in a storage room owned by his grandparents and Epel was now beyond thankful that he looked nothing like her and took on traits from his grandmother. Her hair was straight and black with some thin lines being a light green color that cascaded down her back like snakes in a dark river. Her eyes were brown and sharp while her skin was pale and almost white as snow. He used to think she looked beautiful when he saw her on the TV. But that love for the mother he never knew only lasted till he was nine. The day Estelle said that she never had a child and was happy that she was going to have a family was the day Epel's love for his mother died.
Her looks though and the personality Epel had heard others whisper of matched his housewarden perfectly. Estelle tried to be perfect in everything she did and even managed to become someone famous in the industry before she ruined her own life becoming a name not known by many besides the people who she grew up with. At least Vil was able to get others to see past Epel’s mother after he had shown the apple juice his grandparents made.
Business started up immediately after again and left behind the slow decline it had since Epel was born. Vil’s helpfulness whether out of kindness or by accident did help him see Vil in a better light than just a reincarnation of his mother just more beautiful but as a role model. Someone he could look at and see that destruction was caused by those in the wrong. Those who didn’t understand that didn’t understand beauty was more than a look and a tool but a weapon.
That was also why Epel was at the moment trying to mind his tongue as Vil tried to undo the knots in it after spelldrive practice. “I don’t understand how you get these ridiculously hard knots in your hair just during a stupid game. It’s almost like your hair is trying to fight the wind or something. It’s held up during practice too and somehow it still does this.”
Vil gave a tug with the brush at a knot causing Epel to wince. “Maybe we could try an’ get it undid tomorrow? That’ll be better than this.” Vil shook his head furiously. “We most certainly will not wait till tomorrow to get this knot finished. It will only cause it to become more tangled and worse than it is now.” Epel did his best not to groan and let Vil continue to work. “May I by chance try Roi du Poison. Possibly I will be more helpful?” Rook backed down when Vil shot him a glare.
“It is my job to make sure he will be ready before the event I’m taking him to. He must be perfect tonight. He knows as well as I do that this spell drive meeting with other teams could set him into a career in a professional sport.” Vil was right and Epel hated that he was right. Even if he wasn’t part of a professional spell drive team for long and wanted to help his grandparents out with their apple business if he could get a job like that then he sure would try his best to.
“I understand that but Monsieur Crabapple may wish to talk with someone else though that would better understand his likings. Not that you do not understand them, Roi du Poison.” Vil, who had now been able to brush through Epel’s hair with ease, simply sighed and released Epel’s hair. “I guess you are possibly correct. Do not take too long though Epel still needs to change out of his casual wear and into a proper suit.” Rook gave Vil a nod and the housewarden left without complaint.
“Thank ya, Rook. I do owe ya.” Rook gently ran the brush through Epel’s hair but quickly started to apply some kind of hair product to it. “Just because Vil is gone does not mean you may start speaking improperly. Know that this event is as important to you as it is to him. You can not act a fool of yourself as you are his guest. The only reason he agreed to attend this event is because you seemed interested in it.”
Epel was confused by what Rook said. “Vil told me the reason he wanted to bring me along was because he needed a spell drive representative and I was the best option.” Rook shook his head. “Vil is simply attending this because you showed an interest. This is why you, Epel must be perfect. If not for yourself then for him.” Rook finished whatever he was doing with Epel’s hair and removed his hands.
“You may now look Epel.” Epel looked into the mirror and away from his hair. The front of his hair had been pulled back into a braid that wrapped around his head like a crown held together with a golden apple hair barrette that had a bright red ruby as the apple and a brown crystal gem for the stem at the back of his head. “Now go and get dressed. Vil has most likely placed the clothes you are to wear on your bed.”
Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3, Chapter 4, Chapter 5, Chapter 6, Chapter 7
(I totally got off task on working on my in progress Silver stories by making this au. It will be called The Poisoned Brothers. You will fid out the reason later on for this but I bet you already have some guesses.)

Fill My Empty Heart: A Hello Neighbor Fanfic
By JJ
Summary: After Mya's death, Aaron committed suicide. Mr. Peterson, desperate to have a family again, takes in the depressed and heartbroken child across the street, Nicky Roth.
Chapter 1
It has been raining for a few weeks now. Nicky was sure it was probably gonna start flooding soon. His parents had offered many times to drive him to school, but last time he did that, his mother just kept going on and on about how if this didn't work, she could always book him a therapist out of town.
He wasn't in the mood for another headache.
So he just decided to walk to school in the rain.
When he finally got to school, he tried not to be seen by any of his friends. Maybe he could just borrow a towel from the Lost & Found bin.
He put on his hoodie, trying to keep a low profile. But he miserably failed when he felt 2 arms wrap around his torso.
"Nicky!"
Nicky recognized that voice immediately. It was Trinity.
Enzo had recently introduced her to him last summer...
Back when Aaron was still alive.
He gently pried the arms away, "Hi, Trinity.", he mumbled. He didn't want to get involved with anyone right now, all Nicky wanted to do was get this day over with.
His friends however, had other plans.
"So what do you have planned for after school today?", asked Trinity. "Going home.", said Nicky.
"Sounds fun, but I was thinking that maybe you'd like to come by at Enzo's after school. We were gonna watch a movie and order pizza. Doesn't that sound -"
Nicky was just trying to get his notebooks from his locker, trying to drown out Trinity's voice. He slammed his locker door shut.
"That sounds like loads of fun, Trinity. But I am not in the mood.", he said, his voice emotionless. "Thanks, but no thanks."
He turned around to walk away, and he accidentally saw something in the corner of his eye. It was an article about the recent news.
AARON PETERSON FOUND DEAD IN SHOWER
Immediately, Nicky felt his vision begin to blur, his eyes filled up with tears. He covered his mouth to muffle his sobs, and then he felt another pair of arms wrap around him.
"Hey.", it was Enzo. "How're you holding up, buddy?"
Nicky gently pushed him away, "I'm fine, I'm just still trying to...process."
Enzo gently pulled his friend back into his embrace, letting Nicky cry into his shoulder.
"Nicky, I know you miss him, everyone who knew him does. But..."
Nicky tilted his head to look at Enzo, "But what?", he felt himself shout. "But I should just get over it? But that's no reason to act like a fucking lunatic at school? But I should just forget about him because it was never going to last long anyway?"
Enzo put his hands up, "No! No, of course not. I would never ask you to just forget about someone who made you happy.", he said. He took Nicky's hand and held it in his.
"Just come to my house after school. We can watch whatever you're in the mood for. I promise it'll clear your mind."
Nicky was reluctant, but he eventually nodded.
"Great! See you then!"
The whole day, Nicky felt like absolute shit. His nose was getting a little stuffy, he was coughing and sneezing a lot, and he felt cold, and he was wearing a freaking hoodie for God's sake!
He tried to keep it in during Mr. Randall's class, but it wasn't easy. He had to suffer in the cold as he used his hoodie to cover his coughs and sneezes.
"Jesus Christ, man! Are you dying too?", asked Seth Jenkins, who was sitting right behind him.
"Shut up, Seth. We're trying to pay attention.", said Enzo.
Seth rolled his eyes and stared back at the board. A moment of silence passed through the room, with just the teacher talking, then Seth leaned in closer to Nicky.
"How was the funeral?", he asked, "You sure cried a river, didn't you?"
"Seth, I'm trying to pay attention."
"I heard you sounded like a dying pig."
"Seth, I'm warning you."
Mr. Randall clapped his hands, "Mr. Roth, Mr. Jenkins, try to keep your focus on the board please.", he said.
Another moment of uninterrupted teaching passed through the room.
Then Seth said something that made Nicky just snap inside.
"It was a miracle for sure.", he whispered. "Now we don't have to worry about his weird ass anymore. If I were you, I'd consider myself lucky."
Nicky balled his hands into fists.
"And did you see how funny he looked? The man was acting like he didn't even have a neck anymore!", laughed Ruben Smith, sitting right next to Seth.
Nicky didn't know what happened, but when he finally snapped out of it, he was holding a chair with blood on its metal legs, and Seth & Ruben were laying on the floor, blood dripping from their noses.
"YOU FUCK ASSES THINK THIS IS FUCKING FUNNY?!", he yelled at them. "YOU THINK SUICIDE IS SO FUNNY?! YOU THINK ME LOSING MY BEST FRIEND IS FUNNY?!"
"Mr. Roth, what the hell!"
Nicky didn't even stick around to see what Mr. Randall was going to say next. He just threw the chair at Seth, and ran out of the room, straight to the bathroom.
He decided to just hide in one of the stalls until the day was over. It seemed easier than going back out there and dealing with whatever those stupid people had to say to him next.
He curled in on himself, hugging and burying his face into his knees.
"I miss you so much, Aaron.", he sobbed. "Why did you do it, Aaron? Why did you leave me?"
If only Aaron could answer back to him.

Art Style/AU Challenge PT 2: My Hero Academia's Style
Part 1 and Explanation here
I understand now why people hate lineart... thin lines suuuuuck. I don't think I captured the MHA style all that well, and I'm not entirely sure what exactly it's missing, but I hope it's still somewhat recognizable. Also, the names of the Flying Serpent Crew is subject to change in some AUs if I feel it works better with the story I'm telling (I'll put their real names in parenthesis so it's less confusing)
Backstory:
buckle up, this might be a bit wordy, but I tried to make it as brief as possible
Lady Drake: The Dragon Fire Hero
Quirk: Dragon
She has the ability to fly, breath fire, and have super strength, along with the ability to be resistant to fire
Taiba was born in Nigeria and immigrated to America when she was less than a year old with her parents and 3 other siblings. She's very cut off from her native country, and is the only one of her 3 companions that adores her adopted country. Making it a little difficult for her to really connect Bruce (Brosmýr's name in this AU), and Victerico, since their both also immigrants.
She had always wanted to be a pro hero, especially after her quirk appeared. In this AU, I headcannon that America in MHA, the way that you become a pro hero is either by 1. simply passing a test, like for driving or a GED, or 2. going to collage specifically for it, and Taiba went to college. This is were she meets Bruce Ficsher, her future partner and husband.
They both start their own independent company after college, of which I don't have a name for, yet.
Nightingale: The Feathered Lighting Hero
Quirk: Harpy
He can fly, is crazy fast, can control lightning, and can mimic voices and sounds, but only if he's heard them before
Bruce Ficsher was born and raised in Ireland for most of his childhood, but when his father got a job in the states, they moved there when he was a teenager. Due to this, he's still a little bit bitter at his father for forcing him to leave his friends and family to go to a country he barely cares for.
He's pretty down for the 2nd amendment tho.
When he was born, he... very much looked like a baby bird, bulging tired eyes, chicken wings, and all. He did eventually grow out some down feathers, but it didn't really help the teasing from his classmates. That is, of course, until he got a lot bigger than them. He was always referred to as a bit creepy, and being a bit of a loner didn't help.
Bruce wanted to be a hero mostly because of that. He wanted to show that even if he wasn't the most appealing looking hero, he could still do good. That he wasn't condemned to being a villain. That all he ever wanted to do was help those in need.
He was fine just simply talking the Hero's Test and shadowing under a Pro until he could get his full license, but his parents had other plans. So they sent him to college, where he met Taiba.
During their college days, they butted heads a lot. However, forced proximity made them need to start to work together (their powers worked very well together), and they learned that they were a very good team.
They started dating their first year together, and got married before they even finished college.
Captain Serpent: The Water Snake Hero
Quirk: Water Serpent
He has the ability to breath under water, use hydrokinesis, and glide in the air. He, however, can't fly
Victerico left his native country of Spain and when he was in his mid twenties. He is the eldest of the three, being in his early 40s, and is the one that was the most down on his luck.
You see, Viterico came to America on the hope that he could start a new life for himself. A better job, maybe find a wife, and start a family. However, bad break, after terrible luck, after bad timing led to him being homeless and jobless. And would have rather die than live like that, so he became a villain.
Due to his quirk making him look like a sea monster, Victerico decided to hang out in rivers and swamps, lying in wait for people to scare. When he did, they would either run, and hopefully drop something valuable, or he would threaten them until they gave him something valuable. It was awful, but it worked.
After a couple of years of doing this, he was captured by Taiba and Bruce, however, this would turn out to be his big break. For you see, Viterico was the only witness to a murder that had been perpetrated by an infamous serial killer.
He helped Lady Drake (Taiba) and Nightingale (Bruce) finally catch (and sadly kill) the villain, and in turn, the two of them heard his story. They rescued him from prison, on the condition that he become the third member of their agency. Viterico accepted, and after taking the test, and shadowing under the two of them, he became the latest member of the (name pending) Agency.
Main Story:
This is getting long, so I will try to make this brief; their agency ends up in Japan after the appearance of All for One, coming to try and help by their own volition. I imagine that they would want to try and help the students of UA. And with Bruce being a huge language nerd (seriously, if he wasn't gonna be a hero, he would've been a linguist), they were able to get along just fine in Japan. Coming into the main story of MHA after the Provisional Hero License Arc, trying their best to be both protectors of the UA students, and help with the expanding crime after All Might looses his power.

The Outer Banks. Paradise on earth. At least, that is what the giant sign on the bridge described it as, as we drove into the city that has been my home since eighth grade. I remember seeing it for the first time, I was so young, so sad to be leaving my home- and so damn tired after a two-week drive. Seriously, it was like my parents tried to get us as far as humanly possible away from Moose River BC as possible while staying on the same continent. My parents had told me we were moving to paradise, in hindsight I see that they wanted us to be less sad about uprooting our lives so they could get us out of the country without a fuss- because we somehow ended up on The Cut. To be fair, it does remind me of home every day. I missed my friends for a couple of years, but I made new ones and moved on. Never looked back.

"Snowy- are you seeing this right now? That's like a three story drop." Pope says to me as I shield my eyes with my hand so I can look his way just as he gestures up to John B standing on the roof of the McMansion to be that were hanging out at this afternoon. I sit up slowly from where I'm laying along the railing of the deck, looking up at the curly brunette as he lifted one foot off the edge of the roof.
"Hey, John B, what if you like, didn't risk your life like this right now?" I say, leaning back on my hand that's steadying me. "How'd you even get up there?"
"They're gonna have Japanese toilets with towel warmers." Kie states, walking out of the unfinished patio door onto the porch with us before John B can respond.
"Of course they are, why wouldn't they?" JJ shrugs. Of course, any of us would have that if we could. I'm actually quite certain that Kie herself has heated bathroom floors at her parent's house in Figure Eight. Oh, the Kook life- I'm jealous.
"This used to be a turtle habitat, but who cares about the turtles, right?" Kie sighs just as John B looks like he's losing his balance. "Can you not kill yourself?" She adds, shielding her eyes as well as she looks up at the boy who she just noticed was standing on the edge of the roof.
"Don't drop that beer, I'm not giving you another one." JJ says, and right on cue, John B drops the can in question off the roof as he wobbles on one foot.
"Oh shit! Nooo.." He whined as it hit the ground. Everyone laughs as JJ kicks the can and John B is sulking about it.
Pope and I look over to the temporarily gravel driveway and see a small car pulling in. "Security." I state and Pope picks up his bag.
"Uh, yep let's wrap it up." Pope adds, and John B climbs down from the roof.
"Boys are early today."
I shrug a little at John B's statement as I throw my bag over my back. "Alright Humpty Dumpty, let's roll." JJ says, stepping down the exit ramp he was on with John B close behind.
"Let's go boys." Kie says, joining my side as we pick up a light jog through the construction site. We hear a man's voice behind us, who now seems to be chatting away with JJ like they're friends. If you asked JJ, he'd say that, anyway. "He's asking for it at this point." Kie says as we both glance over at him and giggle.
JJ grabs my hand and laughs as he responds, "Oh am I?" We all pick up the pace to a run through the empty house, down some concrete stairs to ground level. I slip a little on the last step, and JJ half falls with me as we hear the man's voice again just to our left.
"Hey! Stop!"
"Gary! Oh my god, you scared me!" I laugh as JJ pulls me just out of Gary's reach and we run the other way. He yells to the other security guard that we're heading toward him, and I step out of the way right as he reaches for us, and I drop JJ's hand as he gets a hold of him instead. "Not much of a hugger man." JJ says as he instantly slips right out of the man's grasp and runs after me.
I sprint out to the lawn and jump into the back of John B's van, the Twinkie, as he calls it, with Kie right as we see JJ and Pope coming and jumping in behind me. "Come on!" Kie and I shout at the boys, and John B guns it right as they get inside. We keep an eye out the door and back window, as Gary chases after us.
"Check out Gary running for a raise!" Pope laughs as JJ continues a one-sided conversation with the security guard running after us and throwing him a beer- because they couldn't possibly pay him enough.
"You little pricks!" Gary shouts after us as he gives up the chase and we speed away. I climb into the passenger seat next to John B and turn up the music coming from The Twinkie's old speakers.

We're a glowing example of what everyone in Kildare county knows as the Pogues. Our mission? Have a good time, all the time. Right here, we're cruising Figure Eight- the rich side of the island. Home of the Kooks, where we obviously don't live. Rich folks with vacation homes in two different places, or, Kie put it best, heated towel warmers at the expense of only a few thousand turtle lives lost. The other, superior side of the island, The Cut, is what we call home. Pogues, pogies, the people of the working class, where our people bust their asses to make a living. Lowest members of the Kildare county food chain. So, a downside of being a pogue is that we're ignored and neglected. Upside? We're ignored and neglected, which means we can do whatever we want, whenever we want.
It's two tribes, one island.
Now, for the interesting part, my crew. The people that make my life go 'round. Firstly, there's JJ. Founding member of our club, and the life of every party, the only one who can beat me at a shotgun. It's never a dull moment with him around. He's got a mop of dirty blonde hair, sunkissed skin, and the most beautiful set of blue eyes I've ever seen. I would never live it down if he found out, though. He's about as local as they come- the latest in a long line of fishing, drinking, smuggling, vendetta-holding salt-lifers who make their living off the water. He's also the best surfer I know. Again, don't tell him I said that. Also a ~light~ kleptomaniac and future tax cheat. If we're including that stuff.
Then there's Kie. Kiara. My best girlfriend and platonic soulmate packed into one. She has the prettiest dark curly hair, and when she's not saving turtles, listening to Marley, or getting Dolphin tattoos, she hangs out with us. I don't know why she chose us, but she did and we're all the better for it. She's a rich kid, technically- a foot in both worlds. Her family owns The Wreck, this Outer Banks institution. Total cash cow with the tourists, and actually my first place of employment. Not sure how much her parents love us though, I kind of lost my touch with them after I threw a drink on a customer while I was clocked in. They didn't fire me though, I still work there occasionally when they need the help.
Next in line, there's Pope. Always the brains of the operation and our collective voice of reason. Taller than me by a mile, and a finalist for the Lucas T. Vanderhorst merit scholarship. Definitely the smartest person I know, but often loses his shot with girls when he brings up that he plans on being a coroner. Someone has to do it, I guess. His father's this legendary character, Heyward. Anything you want on the island, Heyward could get it for you. Now I'm not sure what Heyward knew what to make about his son and his friends, but it didn't matter. He's a pogue like us.
Lastly, John B. John Booker, if you want to be technical about it. He's the most loyal person I've ever met, and the other founding member of our club, a true golden retriever boy when you get to know him. You can always rely on JB in a pinch, which happens more often than any of us would care to admit. He's the temporary, not legal, owner of the chateau, our typical hangout and clubhouse. He's the name sake of his dad, and looks just like him. Big John, by now, has been missing at sea for around 9 months. The rest of us have lost hope that he will ever come back, but John B refuses to admit he's gone until his fathers body is found. I understand that. DCS is hot on John B's tail, considering his uncle, his current legal guardian, is quite literally in another state and has been for months.
Then, there's me. Snowy. Snowy Hansley. It's a nickname I never shook from when I first moved to the OBX, being from Canada and all. I'm one to be picked on for using Canadian slang, and an occasional "kick a ginger day" victim. I haven't cut my hair since I moved because my mom says hair holds memories and feelings, so I suppose I'm unintentionally the superstitious type. I was adopted by JJ and John B at a dance a few weeks after I moved to town- my parents wanted me to go and make friends. I held the door for them as they were stepping behind the building to go shotgun before going back in, and JJ asked me to come with them. I'd never drank before, but I supposed I learned to shotgun from the best. Then, the rest is history.

choirgirl, pele, scarlet
okay but every time I listen to it I realize that From the Choirgirl Hotel is maybe one of the more perfect albums I've ever heard??? It is the literal definition of 10/10 no skips every song is a banger even the bonus tracks are fucking flawless
the production is the most lush and complex Tori has ever put out
it's wild to me because I've always loved this album but I kind of slept on it sort of? "Playboy Mommy" was hitting me HARD when it came out and I was 19 and I'd just had an abortion. The album was associated with the literal worst year of my fucking life. So I think I kept a distance from it for that reason. "Boys For Pele" was the album that came out when I got SUPER into Tori. I'd liked her since Silent All These Years came on MTV as a buzzclip, and loved her collaboration with Trent Reznor on Under the Pink, but Pele got me OBSESSED as I was a senior in high school. I had just broken up with my first boyfriend, too, after a 2 year relationship and Pele is a breakup album so it just. RESONATED. And all the things that the very stupid critics hated about Pele: how baroque it was, how long it was, how insane Tori sounded in several of the songs, how impenetrable and whimsical the lyrics were in comparison to Little Earthquakes and Under the pink. These were the things I LOVED about Boys For Pele.
That tour was also the first time I saw her in concert (the first of eight over the years) and it was a MAGICAL EXPERIENCE. She had toured around Florida, but, being 17, me and my friend Melissa weren't able to drive several hours to Tampa or Orlando or Miami, because, parents. A lot of our friends had been able and we were ENVIOUS. We complained one day in AP English to each other that Tori was not coming to Fort Myers, which was a mere 40 minutes away, an easy and parent-allowed drive. Later that afternoon, after school, Melissa called me up sounding !!!! and told me that 1) TORI HAD ADDED A FORT MYERS SHOW, WHAT?? and 2) she had heard this because she was listening to the radio and they were giving 2 tickets to the tenth caller and MELISSA WAS THE TENTH CALLER, WE WERE GOING TO SEE TORI. It was like the only time in my entire life that I made an improbable wish and it IMMEDIATELY came true within 24 hours. That concert IMPRINTED on me.
Tori Amos was listed the #3 live performer of all time by Rolling Stone at some point, and I don't think that's an unfair assessment. There is an absolute witchcraft that woman practices onstage. She grabs the audience by the throat and does not let go until the encore is over. Which is why I keep going back to her shows whenever I can. My eight shows are nothing to the people who follow her around and get promoted to front row seats by Tori's team (my ultimate fan wish that I know will never come true, QQ), but for me, a Real Life Poor, it's a LOT. When I'm at her shows, I feel like there's no one else there but me and her (and the band if she's touring with them).
When I was 24, I had another big breakup, and moved across the country, from Lynchburg, Virginia to Portland, Oregon. I took a train ride to do so, it was a five day groggy sightseeing tour across the United States. Scarlet's Walk was in my portable CD player as I sleepily alternated between the sightseeing car (I could not sleep, I could not afford a sleeping car and I can't sleep in public in a chair. I was DELIRIOUS) and the smoking car (I was still a pack a day back then. it was 2004) and Scarlet's Walk, being a literal road trip across America, fraught with all the relationship angst that is Tori's signature, and the political anxiety building in that album post-9/11 was just... incredible for this train trip. I saw America at its most beautiful (the snow-covered mountains and lush greenery and waterfalls of the Pacific Northwest, specifically the Columbia River Basin, looking like Eden itself) and at it's most depressing and ugly (that was Toledo, Ohio. Holy shit it was like ... decayed industry and garbage everywhere. DEPRESSING).
I watched a drunk cougar in the smoking car crawl all over an 18 year old kid who was about to be shipped off to Iraq, purring in his ear that she was also eager to serve her country to this album. I smoked weed and did shots of Grey Goose with this chick in her sleeping car to this album. I sat in the sightseeing car and paused the album only once, this late night when some guy with a guitar and a bottle of whiskey attracted a crowd as he randomly played classic American songs the crowd mostly knew the words to at request, and everyone sang along. I felt like I was having some sort of transcendent American experience on this train trip, and Scarlet's Walk, an audio trip across the country, was my soundtrack. My mom road tripped to Simon & Garfunkel in the late '60s with her friends, I road tripped to Tori. And the ten years I lived in Portland after that train trip remain the most cherished and happy of my entire life. Those were the really great years.
So Scarlet became the favorite of my adult life.
Now I'm revisiting From the Choirgirl Hotel with the distance of two and a half decades, as some old vinyl collecting music nerd who has become re-obsessed with 90s-style trip-hop and industrial, and I'm just in awe of the quality of the music of Choirgirl. Like I said: flawless from beginning to end. It's an emotionally traumatic album even without personal context, though, given the subject matter, but it is perhaps the most perfect front-to-end album Tori's ever put out.
