These Afro-American folklore stories are so beautiful. I especially like that within the horror ones, we’ve been running away from scary ish. We’ve been not dying from scary things. We know when to run. I also like there’s also a mermaid and fairy tale too. But these stories were so much fun to read.
@queen-shiba you’ll love this.

Brown liquor, brown sugar, brown face
Black skin, black Benz, black plays

We just sittin’ here coolin’ around

Today's drawing is a bit different from the others, it might be a bit more sensitive, so I hope you like it, she is one of my ocs Gaby (she is an oc from Rise of tmnt) and it's based on the song Bones by Imagine Dragons, I hope you like it!

Regardless of what the tweet says (I’m not about to get into flag discourse), I love the baby tees that came out of this.

These are from 1389woodliff.com
And the website is Black-owned. The owner is @/pocketfullof_posey on tiktok.

But-But!
I would love it if someone had a baby tee with the Gullah Geechee flag.
Like please, the colors are there. It would look so cool. Like look at this flag!

Ernest C. Withers, “A sign outside the Memphis City Zoo” (ca. 1959)
Instead of desegregating the Memphis Zoo and allowing guests in regardless of race, one day out of the year was set aside for Black Americans to visit.
