I've always had really irregular periods, and I have ADHD, so let me tell you this can be even more of a mindfuck when you not only have significant depressive cycles but you also don't know what they are or to expect them until you start bleeding. I literally didn't make the connection until I was in my 30s. That combined with the fact that PMDD wasn't even a known disorder while I was growing up. 😞

Uterus-having education is so so lacking, and I'm just really glad we have the Internet so people can at least learn about this stuff from each other.

Pre-menstrual depression is always depicted as like "He He! I had a box of icecream bars and cried while watching the Titanic!" But in reality, it's more like, "I'm standing the edge of an abyss. There is nothing good inside of me, I'm filled with rage and desperation."

It's crazy that being told how to deal with that is never a part of anyone's menstrual sex education.
