For those who missed my earlier post, we just hit fifty followers!! I’m super excited and SO grateful for all you lovelies who got me here! Tumblr was my first experience with social media, and I’ll always appreciate how kindly I was welcomed. Ever since, I’ve loved being able to express my interests to people who care and interact with you all! 💗 @telugu-girl-13 suggested I do an event, so here we are! Apologies for it taking me so long! I would love to say that I spend the last few days planning this to perfection—but, in reality, I created this in 45 minutes and spent the time preparing for tests. (*cough* procrastination *cough* 💀)

2025 Shipping Polls

Okay so last year I did the shipping polls, and I’ve never forgotten about them. My goal is to go through and do them all again, possibly with more effort put into reviewing them afterwards/keeping them accessible…👀?

I’m especially looking forward to redoing the Haymitch shipping poll. When I did it last time, we didn’t even know Lenore Dove’s name. I have a few hypotheses and a couple of ideas as to how the results will change after Sunrise on the Reaping comes out.

SO. One of my ideas is to have this be somewhat of an ‘announcement’ post thing, and possibly the master page (with links to all the shipping polls I’ve done on this page). We’ll see. But for now, here are some of the characters I’m planning on doing the ‘shipping polls’ for:

Yesss thank you for this! I was working up a draft of like…shipping poll guidelines for myself going forward lol. I’ve already made a couple mistakes that I want to fix going forward. The first few I did have not been consistent 💀

90% of 222 votes, wow! I’m not completely surprised, but it’s still interesting to see the numbers!!

Katniss shipping poll:

Okay so I tried to do the Katniss poll the other day, but then I realized I only put voting on for 24 hours, PLUS I remembered that Finnick/Johanna/Annie were all 18+ whereas Katniss was still 17 at the end of the series.

I honestly forgot Finnick was 24(!!!) in the series; I thought the younger victors were all pretty close in age, especially since they developed pretty close relationships in mockingjay (close in their own way).

So, after a bit of consideration I WILL still be including ships like Johanna and Katniss, but with the assumption that they’d be closer in age or kind of in a canon-adjacent au. I’m not personally endorsing the idea of a 17 year old being with a 24 year old on its surface—but at the end of the day it’s simply shipping two characters and I can understand why people like certain characters dynamics.

I won’t be including any other adults in the shipping polls with characters like Katniss, Peeta, Gale, etc. You won’t find something like Beetee x Peeta in here 💀

**I also included Everlark, despite knowing that it would probably get all the votes; I included Hayffie in my previous one, so I wanted to try and be consistent.

Okay so let me be cringe and free but I’ve had a little ‘project’ idea for quite some time about making wiki-adjacent things and one totally specific thing on my mind has been ships.

Not just like shipping in a meta-fandom way (which that interests me too, but that’s another convo for a different day), but in an “individual ship appeal�� way.

Like, using a Hunger Games specific example: Everlark. Everlark (Katniss x Peeta) has been analyzed literally ever since the books came out, but still.

Anyways, all this to say, there will be a ‘shipping’ themed post sometime hopefully soon(??)

(I will be EXCLUDING any pro-shipping things. I do no want to discuss that, so please do not mention any minors/adults or anything the like)
