Oh my god due to the recent Alfred ask it makes me wonder and scream at the thought if there has ever been a moment when Reader asked Alfred if there's something else they can call him. Like DAD perhaps...(and this can go for different routes and so many juicy things, but ill get into that later).

But since the backstory is up to us, I like to think the Reader has a bio family which was questionable(maybe I'm projecting), so they never had a good track record with their dad and then Bruce adopted them and we know that didn't end well.

So when they ask Alfred if there's something else they can call him ( a lil show that they do see him closer than anyone and that he's important to us.) We could have gone back and forth with him talking about what to call him and stuff when we jokingly say something along the lines of "maybe not Dad since my track record with such isn't the best." Maybe they open up to Alfred about how their family/ life was before they were adopted by the batfam. Maybe even admit they can't see anyone as a dad figure after them (😭), so the thought is uncomfy for them( this hits in so many ways.) Or how they're scared if they call him dad something will change about Alfred and become like their 'dads'.

Which will undoubtedly hit some strings with Alfred. Seeing as how every 'dad' has failed them to the point they can't fathom or be comfortable with seeing or thinking of someone as a dad. But the fact that BRUCE had played a part in it 💀... Which is what's making the Reader confused and feel unsecured in his own personal relationship with the Reader (on what to call him, but probably in other stuff as well).

Back to the top part of the reader asking what they can call him, and they end up at something along the lines or at calling Alfred Dad.

It will undoubtedly make his heart squeeze and scrumble( One way could be he's being called 'Dad' after so long). Probably make Alfred a lot closer to the reader than before. Probably stepping up to the title and being closer taking care of Reader even more, now that he knows they have that emotional bond( stronger than before and the permission).

For little cute ideas/cenerios I imagine he makes an even greater effort to come to our plays and tournaments and sit front row probably recording.( in a reserved seat next to all the other empty ones 😒). And get a lil prissy when he can't make it (ESPECIALLY IF ITS BC OF THE BATFAM). He asks some of the organizers to record it specifically for him if they aren't doing it already, so he can watch it live (or once handed to him)while doing whatever keeps him from going. All so he can talk about it with us when we come back home and show how proud of us he is.

Definitely gets us gifts for each performance/ tournaments. If he was present he would walk with us a while after it ended and get us ice cream or out for a celebratory dinner. 😭

Okay but now for the lil angst part in that moment when we settle on what to call Alfred whenever it would be similar or is Dad or a different title all together that would be the moment we lose any real attachments to the Batfam. Not seeing them as siblings or parental figures anymore. At most just wanted to impress them but that quickly died off and just just focused on what we do have.

Alfred would also know that that was the moment or the end of the falling bridge with the Batfam and Reader. Which would probably hurt him cause the Batfam is still his family, but now he also has us and sees our neglect and what the batfam's consequences are. Probably breaking his own hope of us being accepted/ integrated into it and the Batfam to being back a normal dysfunctional but loving family with us in it.

Okay but the real ANGST. It's not just the reader and Alfred having heart to heart or other situations between the two of them. BUT INSTEAD BRUCE HEARING READER CALL ALFRED THE TITLE WE SETTLED ON. And it doesn't have to be only Bruce that would work for angst because the others are smart so if they hear Reader call Alfred by the title... They know it doesn't correlate to them and their relationship of being Reader's sibling because Alfred isn't that title to them. Connecting and discovering at the same time that the Reader doesn't see them as siblings and hasn't for a time they weren't even aware of.

Imagining just Bruce sneaking away and thinking by himself or even confronting Alfred 😩😩. The Batkids doing their research seeing Reader live their life completely disconnected from theirs only hammering that Reader doesn't see them as family. The only thing connecting to them being Alfred and even Alfred is a different role in Reader's life than in theirs.

Maybe Batfam finds out about what the Reader tried to get their attention only to give up, maybe they don't and just see the Reader slipping away until the Reader becomes a foggy memory again until the Reader moves away like in the [Not] series everything follows.

Yeah!!! And since there is another ask that's about the reader considering Alfred their dad, and how Bruce would react to that, I won't be going too much into how Bruce himself would react since I'd like to explain it there when I get to it- but I will say that in very, very simple terms. Bruce is not happy about it. At all.

As for how the whole name thing would start? Alfred would definitely say that you can call him whatever you'd like, but will definitely silently try to nudge you in the direction of calling him dad or something akin to that. He may not expect it to work right away, especially in this scenario where the reader already has a messy relationship with people who were supposed to be their father's in the past. However, when you do call him dad or something similar, he is literally about to cry.

He won't cry in front of you! But he might later-

Regardless, words cannot express the amount of joy he feels when that happens, and as you've mentioned, Alfred does try to not let you down. Unwilling to become another reason why you have a hard time seeing people as your father, or father-figure. He feels more inclined to look after you above everyone else, and tries even harder to be present. There isn't a single event of performance that he'll miss willingly, and even if he does- he has his ways of making it up to you, even if you know that it was out of his hands.

I think a neat detail would also be that the amount of unoccupied seats next to him slowly shorten with time. It starts off with there being a seat for everyone in the Batfam, but as time goes on the amount begins to dwindle, until there's just one for him. Maybe with the occasional one other seat beside him if it's for an event, and you get to sit next to him before going or doing whatever you have to. Further showing how you, as the reader, begin to care less and less about the Batfam, and really only see/recognize Alfred as your family. As there is only one reserved seat for him at each and every performance and tournament.

I think the idea of the Batfam noticing this and trying to fix it, yet the reader still being able to slip away, and them forgetting all over again is both just out right heartbreaking and infuriating.

Like, can you imagine as a neglected!reader, finally having your family notice you (despite you growing used to their lack of attention at this point), only to have them forget you exist all over again? Or just forget about you enough to where you still leave without saying much of anything, and only leave behind a note to the one person you considered family?

And imagine the Batfam- not only feeling, but knowing that they've failed you more than they could ever imagine? Not only making you feel alone and isolated in your own home, since they never noticed you, not only once, but twice? That's borderline unforgivable. They noticed you, and somehow still managed to neglect you all over again. It's astonishing, really. Maybe they do have powers after all.

But really- how I could see that happening is if they get too busy with the idea of you rather you yourself, if that makes sense?

Through their research and everything, they form a version of you in their heads that they're all clinging onto, that they unintentionally don't give the real you a chance. Hell, they don't even give themselves a chance to even see it as they drown in their own delusions. Stuck with plans and ideas they ultimately never saw through, either because they were far too worried to further mess things up (like a certain brooding bat), or were far too certain of the outcome and therefore came up with more ideas and plans that they ended up not doing. Like a certain robin who, after two generations, finally wore pants. So by the time they realize their mistake, (which probably happenss when one of them finally decides to actually act on a plan they made) you're gone. Lost to the wind. Like a distant whisper they nevr quite heard, but dreamed about encountering ever since. Forgetting that chasing and searching were things they could do right from the start instead.

Though Alfred and the reader having a heart to heart? Please, we could all really use that. Forget about how horrible Alfred is behind the scenes- we need the closest thing we can get to a positive influence in this family. Or really just a good source of comfort, honestly.

Though his dying hope does break his heart, he just takes it as another opportunity to fill in the shoes of being your father. Even if at this point it means being your only family out of everyone in the Batfam, then so be it. He'll just have to fill in where they refuse to, but he doesn't mind since it gets him more time with you- and I can imagine that, despite the hurt of realizing that you'll never be 'fully' apart of the Wayne family, at least you have a part with Alfred and the Pennyworth's. And there is some comfort and reassurance that comes with that. Since, while you may not be able to have this big, huge family- at least you have this small, comfortable one right here with Alfred.

Hell, this time around Alfred might even fully support the reader moving away, as he's more certain than ever that he'll still have that connection with them. That he and the reader will actually communicate, and as long as he can still see them and so on- he doesn't mind.

He'll let the Batfam run around, and play dumb at all the right moments with that sassy, sarcastic attitude of his. Letting them know that they've wasted their opportunity- wasted the one real chance they had with you, and probably won't be getting another one.

After all, it isn't his fault that they fucked up. If anything, he's probably the only reason why the reader is connected to the Batfam at all, or even associates with them the smallest amount. It isn't because of Bruce or any of the others. It's because of Alfred. Even if he won't say it out loud, he'll make sure that they all know it one way or another, and though Alfred doesn't necessarily view himself as cruel- he wouldn't mind throwing a little shade if it meant emphazing that point a little further.

You are his kid. His family. Why would they think otherwise?

On a lighter, more wholesome note, I definitely agree with the more light/cuter ideas!!

Alfred is definitely spoiling you if he can help it, and will poorly disguise his favoritism- though probably would stop even trying to hide it all together at some point.

There is never a moment where Alfred doesn't/won't remind you of how proud of you he is, and how much you've improved. He isn't afraid to admit that you're doing a good job or doing the right thing, even if you can be reckless at times, to your face. And if you end up doubting your ability, or just yourself as a whole, Alfred will definitely be there to comfort you, and remind you of how well you've been doing and reiterate how proud you make him.

He wants you to know that he'll always be there for you, and by the time you leave, you still feel that.

Alfred also makes sure to check up on you and tend to your needs, along with spend time with you in other ways- which does include, but isn't limited to; watching films at home, baking/cooking together, sewing, reading, tending to the garden, and just generally being in each other's space. Maybe even a small hang out outside of the manor if you both can help it.

Nevertheless, that was a fun read, and I fully agree!! Make sure to drink some water and rest up too!

Clora having an adorable mother and the world's most terrifying father makes so much sense. She's inquisitive, strong, brave and scary in her own right like her dad and yet she's small, adorable, sweet and a little naive like her mom, whom she looks just like. It makes sense.

Which means that Sebastian is in for it big time when they're older and it's time to ask for her hand. It's the 1800's, the late 1800's so technically he doesn't have to, Clora says, but Sebastian has met Clive and he knows that if he marries Clora and doesn't ask before hand for her fathers blessing that he might go mysteriously missing or be hit by a curse that causes erectile dysfunction. Which is so much worse.

Doesn't stop him from having a few nervous breakdowns, hyperventilating just a little bit, crying to Ominis that he thinks it's coming, the tea cup with the grimm truly was an omen and his time has come to die.

But, of course, when he asks Clive all he is met with is a long silent stare.

More on Otto as a tries but fails girl!dad and the non verbal communication with the greens. Just how he shows care for his daughter, even though he dooms her. He loves her, wants what's best for her, the family the realm but in doing so he has essentially signed off her execution.

When he tells her to once again visit the king and reprimands her for her self harm he holds her hands

One could argue that this is simply a manipulation tactic and while i don't completely disagree I have other evidence I'd like to present.

Look at how they're holding each other like this is a final goodbye. Neither knows when they'll see each other again. I know he (rightfully) warns her about Rhaenyra he cradles her face. Like it's something precious 🥺 (it is)

Who is this look of devastion for? The imaginary audience? He was not only fired but ripped away from his only daughter. Realizing the mess he's put her in. How she is now truly alone.

We know Criston was her sworn sword and one of the few people she trusted. It makes sense he stand behind her. He's got her back, but look Ottos there too.

In this episode when she was worried about her brother she looked at dad for reassurance and he provided it. Knowing just how concerned she must have been.

Whether or not he's being a manipulative bastard when he does this stuff before he steers her in his own direction, using this to keep her tethered to him, it's quite clear that he understands how important these moments are for his daughter. Can you genuinely look me in the eye and say that Tywin would do this with Cersei? Hold her like she's the most precious thing in the world to him? Nope he'd just command her to do stuff and as her father it is seen as his right to do so.

This family is so dysfunctional. You can love your child and wants what's best for them from the bottom of your heart, with all that you have but still mess up. In the modern day he'd probably be pushing her to a stable career like doctor or lawyer or whatever because he wants her future to be secure without realizing that it's not necessarily what she wants and being blind to how truly miserable she feels.

Sidenote: Wasn't Helaena his favorite grandchild, someone who was not a boy thus a potential heir? Otto is a girl! grandpa too. (If I'm not mistaken 😂)

I think Dylan brings out a side of Lovino that most people don't have the privilege of seeing.

Their communication styles are very different. Argumentative Mediterranean vs. Conflict Avoidant Anglo. It takes a while for them to adjust, it's a valuable learning experience.

Lovi takes care not to be as loud around Dylan as he would be with others. He forces himself to be gentle and patient with - he's afraid of scaring him. But Dylan doesn't make him angry anyway. In fact if anyone can calm him down and temper his attitude it's his Biondino 🥺🥺 (little blondie)

In turn Lovino also empowers Dylan to be more confident and self assured, he won't let him be a doormat or a pushover anymore. Lovino is bold and protective. Dylan is calm and reassuring.

They both know what it's like to have obnoxious, overbearing, dysfunctional families so they make a point to cultivate peace for each other and intentionally practice healthy communication even tho it can start sounding like therapy speak.

They're very sweet and affectionate with each other. Initially they're not big on PDA, eventually they stop caring and act shamelessly mushy for the whole world to see.

Lovino loves to make Dylan laugh and blush. Dylan is never more satisfied than he is when he gets Lovi to display genuine, positive emotion.

Dylan spoils Lovino with baked goods, and Lovi keeps him well fed with that rich Italian home cooking and expensive dinners, so they both gain weight after getting together. On that note, I think they're about the same height but different body types. Dylan is softer and pudgier while Lovino is leaner and a bit stronger. Lovino likes wearing Dylan's thick wool sweaters, and Dylan finds comfort in the scent of his cologne.

They're both superstitious and bond over sharing folklore and fairytales from their respective cultures. Dylan isn't on board with the whole Catholicism thing but he tolerates it. Lovino claims Druidism is witchcraft.

Dylan loves cold weather. Lovino can't stand it. He forces him to get out beneath the Italian sun but he burns so bad. Winters in Wales are mostly spent inside snuggling by the fireplace.

Their living habits are pretty different. They have different tastes in aesthetics and food and music and films. Dylan enjoys reading and drinking tea. Lovino likes to watch football and sip on wine or liquor. Lovi is into formalities and putting on the ritz, Dylan is a goblincore homebody. They might not have much in common as far as hobbies, but they respect each other's quiet time and personal space. On the other hand they can also be pretty clingy... codependent in a cute way.

Their love languages are compatible. Their actual languages are not. Lovino would have a wild time trying to speak Welsh, and Dylan can hardly keep track of all the different South Italian dialects. Lovi does layer on the pet names though, Italians are so sappy when it comes to that, anything can be a term of endearment in the diminutive form.

Dylan is much more into being crafty and thrifty, whereas Lovino would happily spend good money on nice things. Homemade gifts and meaningful experiences vs expensive trinkets and lavish vacations. They're equally appreciated and they love making one another feel spoiled.

Dylan likes exploring locally, he's a bit outdoorsy. Lovino likes to travel, particularly in style, so they do a lot of that together. They both have a green thumb and maintain a beautiful garden together. Lovino grows the herbs and vegetables while Dylan tends to the flowers. They're regulars at the farmer's market and the cheese shop.

They both know they want kids in an idealistic sense, but are conflicted on the ethics of it. When they do finally decide to start a family, it becomes apparent that Lovino doesn't know how to wear a condom or simply won't. I can see them having a BIG family. Like overwhelming big.

Dylan is better with the kids but Lovino is the kind of Dad who guides his family. Not in an overly domineering way, but he makes sure they know they'll always be taken care of.

oh wowie i didnt expect someone to actually ask me for an explanation on susan 😭 but i can't deny a request so ill just try to make this as clear and quick as possible though it's literally going to be the worst explanation post ever and it's just 5 minutes of me trying to make sense 😞

Tbh my Susan's not really an anti - heroine or a villain , but she really hates how annoying both the Laughinstock crew and Jolly hounds are because of how they would always bicker and be sugarcoated at times . She hangs out with the rubberfishes more since theyre more chill with her since theyre also freaks plus the horace and susan dynamic is great . Thus why i made her somewhere equally as monsterous as them . causeeeee i sorta wanna make all except the laughingstock and Jollyhounds crew look so associated with eachother . As in aesthetic , vibe , etc . Plus mermaids and Sirens are supposed to be scary saooooooo

Gonna go offtopic but yea heres the concepts . The Rubberfishes has a gothic - deep water creature - circus freak vibe , The King's Dice has a royalty navy vibe , The Hog's has a whimsical fairytale hippie Earthy type vibe , Tarantula crew has some sort of gothic , whimsical twee vibe , The NPHC , Sariah ( who is the daughter of Earl in my au ) and Earl's goons ( my ocs ) have some sort of ballet - royalty - french revolution vibe .

Reasoning why the Laughingstocks have no specific vibe is because they're meant to look so out of place from the other crews , just like Janice herself , its like theyre physical manifestations of what a real group / crew would look like to her . Theyre more likely to represent a dysfunctional family rather than a aesthetic group of friends thus why they aren't really respected much since they're so randomized .

I don't have a clear explanation on the Jollyhounds but like i'm only going to explain that Milo just wanted a crew for himself without thinking twice so he just scooped up random people with random aesthetics and qualities . Maybe they have a wacky - all over the place type of vibe that suprisingly clashes so well with eachother . We get a Black metal enthusiast with corpse paint ( Black chin ) , A victorian era - sherlock holmes detective mixed with a 70s hippie stoner guy ( Roger ) , A abominable freaky pink creature made from candy ( Kimothy ) , A Star child that has been away from the galaxy since birth having the astroboy / Slniecko motif ( Starson ) , A catfish - like half merperson thats literally formed from rum ( Bubba , he's different than the wiki cause i don't really like his wiki self ) , and a Dragon thats clumsy and references rap and hiphop music idk why but its funny . They're like a band of 80s / 90s rockstars like Guns n Roses and whatnot .

(off topic AGAIN ) Oh yea the Bubba thing so like theres this species i made up where theres a type of merpeople species that formed from beverages dumped into the sea like tea and rum etc and it has a heavily influence on their personality . Thus explaining why Bubba acts drunk all the time despite being sober because hes formed from RUM .

anyways back to topic the uhhhhhh sea-weed looking flowy things under her exposed ribcage are basically Crinoids , aka spider lillies . Theyre freaky but magestic as hell just like susan entirely . They give off sea alien vibes .

I wanted her to resemble more of a rotting fish and just searched up on google " scary fish " and got jumpscared by a bunch of gross shit . I'm never doing that again but just kinda wanted to make her have a rubberfishes motif . She's literally a zombie mermaid . Its like , the movie ' Mermaid in a Manhole " but its not really gory or disgusting , at all in how i view her redesign . Don't watch mermaid in a manhole though its nasty as fuckkkkkk with all the pus and ooze ewww and the whole movie is just the mermaid throwing herself around in the bathtub while the intense body horror gets worse . ☹️

oh yea the bug on the right shoulder is one of those Parasites that stick onto the fish's mouth and replaces its tounge . I kinda like to think that Susan will save the rubberfishes from merpeople , storms , big tides , the NPHC etc and they heavily depend on her just like how a parasite will depend on its host , except the rubberfishes really like Susan and aren't really leaching off of her , they just have it on the high seas easily because of how easily she can control the waves plus her mean girls relationship with Horace really makes it better . The parasite is sort of like a little friend to her , it parallels Joe's relationship with the worm in his head except the parasite doesn't degrade her 24/7 .

The tail has like maggots crawling out of it and eyes that literally blink . She also wears corpses of fish and humans . She's like really disturbing and her being chained to that rock was for that reason . She's coocoo

Idk how to explain it but you get the drift just by looking at the picture . Yea , sirens are actually supposed to be scawwyyyy , thought that making her have this " false face to trick victims " motif would help . rather than have only the voice lure sailors and pirates . Reasoning on why she has two mouths is because of the quotes and things about the meanings of "two tounges " , an example of the meaning is " marked by deliberate deceptiveness especially by pretending one set of feelings and acting under the influence of another. " , which kinda does have a similarity to the term " two - faced " . Susan's a whole manipulator to strangers using the only guise to trick them into saving her only to get their ship destroyed n all that . One of the mouths is used to sing and the other is used to speak . She also tricks the laughingstock crew into giving her info for the Rubberfishes under the guise of the fake face and fake kindness .

Hey Brit! A question about Andy Bear and Baby girl. I know the Barber fam has their designated movie nights, but in some fics Babygirl just wants to watch movies with him after work. Is this a regular occurrence for them? And what are their favorite things to watch together? I love that he puts up with reality…wish he’d oblige housewives 😭 but besides Love is Blind/Jersey shore, what things do they equally love to watch together?

Andy and Baby Girl curling up on the couch together after a long day of work is a pretty regular occurrence. It's a way for them to relax and reconnect with one another. A good snuggle sesh is the perfect come down after a rough day spent in court or dealing with clients.

Below is a list of what they're watching now. Keep in mind, these are shows they actually pay attention to, versus the stuff they put on for background noise when they're in more of a Netflix and Chill type of mood.

The Righteous Gemstones: they stumbled upon this one after randomly watching a movie with Danny McBride. That dysfunctional family and their ridiculous megachurch makes for some quality TV. And their favorite characters are Judy Gemstone, Uncle Baby Billy, and Keefe.

Yellowjackets: they recently binged both seasons one and two and were pissed at Misty over the whole Natalie debacle. Andy was also a big fan of Elijah Wood's guest starring role.

Mayor of Kingstown: Baby Girl was riveted during the entire time they binged that show. She kept asking questions about whether or not things were actually that corrupt in their own city. She really put her man in the hot seat.

Based On A True Story: This one actually took some convincing on Baby Girl's part. She loves anything with Kaley Cuoco, but her Big Man wasn't sold. However, they were both pleasantly surprised by just how much they enjoyed the show. It's not often that something makes them laugh out loud.

Jack Ryan: Andy had already seen season one of the show before he convinced his girl that she might like it too. It turns out he was right. Although, he was a little annoyed when he realized that his television companion had developed a bit of a crush on John Krasinski. But at least he's better than Lloyd Evans-Drysdale.

Dexter: this is a re-watch for both of them. They finished the series years ago and just randomly decided to start watching it again from the beginning during a lazy weekend. Although they both agree that the final season is trash.

i was rewatching hospital scene, our beloved, and realized that for someone who lost everything, vegas actually won the most in the end. his father is dead, he is free from doing the job he hated, he has pete and macau, and a happy hospital ending. he can build a new life, read books, learn to cook and spend time with his family, and heal from the abuse.

meanwhile we have unhappy kim and chay, porsche who became everything he hated in some ways (he did found his mom and kinn at least), and as far from his beach bar dream as possible, kinn who is still just a chessboard piece (got porsche though) and not that happy about his job either if episode 6 tells us anything. so in the end "the villain" got the best outcome? kinnporsche is insane?

nonnie you are SO RIGHT. the way that vegas hits rock bottom and still sorta wins in the end?? very not normal about it 😭 i also really love the nuance of the ending overall. kinnporsche slaying as Mafia Boyfriends™, but ultimately trapped by korn (always emo about the beach bar.. just terrible), kimchay being miserable with their unresolved issues, despite being the couple that arguably has the least baggage (? i mean it's still a lot though) .... meanwhile beloved hospital family, dysfunctional as it is, gets to end on a pretty positive note! vegas is alive, for one, and as you pointed out, he has pete and macau and is free from his horrible father! so yeah, lots of unexpectedly good stuff going on there <333

now, obviously our dear family's situation isn't perfect - vegas still has to cope with his life being turned upside down, and while they're supposedly "out" of the mafia, it's hard to know what korn has planned for these three in the future. and sure, all of them have LOADS of trauma to work through, what with the torture and the abusive fathers, etc. but what i really love about the happy moments throughout the series is how they exist in spite of all the darkness. against all odds, these people have survived and gotten to spend, at the very least, a peaceful moment with each other. the "antagonist" of the story (if kinn is to be read as the "protagonist", that is) gets the chance to start anew with the people he loves most. and wow, isn't that just something?

one more thing, since i'm incapable of shutting up about this: i will never be over just how completely the show sold me on vegaspete. all the pieces just came together, and by the time we got to the finale, it was insane how cathartic and satisfying that hospital scene really was. so much has been said about this already, but i still can't believe the extent to which i fell in love with these freaks... and by that i mean occasionally disregarding the main couple (the literal name of the show????) in the second half of their arc and wanting to skip back to the deeply toxic, painful, walking-daddy-issues-in-a-trenchcoat pairing. (not like kp doesn't have any problems.. but c'mon lol.) anyway, i guess what i'm trying to say is that, while i never anticipated this, i'm really quite happy to be here 😅😅

Soo doom patrol is a DC show about people being turned into "monsters" and stuff through the years, they're like a big dysfunctional family with powers, I just started it so I'm a little frazzled with all of it so

Larry Trainor is Negative Man tho, he wears a cool long cunty jacket with furr, wraps his face in gauze and wears sunglasses

He was a pilot and was sent into space and went straight through a little wave of negative energy which hitched a ride in his body

He crashed back on Earth and survived but was covered in burns and was hospitalized and lost his wife (basically his beard frfr) and the man he was in love with. He's so painful, I love him

I laughed for about ten minutes after I read this. It was a guilty laugh.

Don't think I haven't thought about a crossover, however that would be...somethin' else since they're the same fkn character, with few differentiating qualities. UVC Cairo is more talkative and casual, lugubriously loquacious like a typical Southern Gothic writer. AB Wednesday is...well, she's Wednesday. Sharper (in the head and on the edges, obvs), and doesn't tolerate who she perceives as imbeciles. But with UVCC practically being her twin, the competitiveness would be explosive. Wednesday is the better writer, too, and that would piss UVCC off to no end...and amuse Jon in the process.

I don't even know how many active AB files I've got going atm.

It is very rare that I go out anywhere, but I needed a walk/break from everything so I took the senior dogs (and the baby dog strapped to my chest) out in their stroller. Been struggling mentally with the non-writing shit that's been happening in my life. Every day I take care of the needy dogs (the seniors are both 17 years old this year...as old as some of the teacher crushers that I see on my fyp 💀 and a year younger than Wednesday). One of them has trouble with his back legs and sometimes energy. Anyone remember that Family Guy cutaway where Peter is holding an elderly Brian who is blind/deaf/senile by his water bowl so he can drink? That's me, except my boy is able to drink on his own. He just needs me to hold him up on his bad days. The other senior I inherited from a nasty (racist) old lady who passed away, but this dog is behaving more and more like her every day (won't let me cut her nails...same as Mommie Dumbest, who lived with a gross, yellowed, grown out pinky nail she wouldn't let anyone cut). And because she's 17, she has CCD (canine cognitive dysfunction, it's doggie dementia) and sometimes gets lost or stares at the wall even though she's blind. Both dogs can still eat/drink, potty in the right place, and still come when called (though they love sleeping 💤 ). My boy is still sharp in the head somehow. I can talk to him and he still understands. I never trained my dogs to 'obey commands', I just treat them like the mental toddlers that they are. They listen to me, though the old girl here has a little trouble orienting herself/figuring out where the sound of my voice is coming from (which is ironic, since for her mother, she was a Hearing Dog). Taking them all out at once is a big feat since I'm also disabled/walk with a cane, but thankfully the stroller worked well for all of us. It was a nice day to walk around the lake.

Of course I got one fkn ass bish making a comment about how they're dogs and should be walking. Had to tell her that they're both 17 and the bigger one can't walk steadily all the time. And when I did let the little excited girl down to walk shortly after I took this photo, she couldn't get her bearings since she is blind. Yes, she looks like she's excitedly looking at something but she's not...she struggles finding treats I put down in front of her. BTW, the seniors are my babies, but my baby baby is the one everyone is enamored with, since she still looks like a puppy/has a baby face...hmm....

I played the AB soundtrack on the walk and it was a good motivator. I had forgotten what an eclectic collection that is, since I usually play the Gates Mansion Secrets soundtrack while we're out (blasting the Genitorturers while walking by an Easter Sunday church crowd was fun). I really want to get 8 done so I can move on to After the Burn/AtB, but there are small scenes that will be happening between her winter vacation and the start of the spring semester (which was/is January 2023). I'll have to decide whether they're going to be published in between 'the first season and the second season', or whether I'll keep them for flashbacks in AtB.

This is not to mention the other non-fandom stuff I've got in my notes/partially written. I'd love to improve one of my movie scripts, and I have ideas for a couple of others.

Anyway, TLDR; the 💩 that no one cares about: I know you were j/k, but exploring the F/F sexual dynamic beyond the Nighshades in AB isn't something I feel I need to do (...yet). With ABW and UVCC, I feel like it'd be a very slow burn. I can't slow burn anything besides what I have in the pipeline for AB.
