8. Did your lamb have any specific skills pre-sacrifice?

Yevel was and still is a very good cook! It pains them that the size of their cult and all their responsibilities keeps them from cooking much these days. It provides explicit recipes, but they never turn out exactly right when other followers do them. Yevel's a control freak and a perfectionist so this peeves them greatly but they cope.

Over the years it grew a soft spot for its first and most devoted follower, Temet, and after they died Yevel couldn't stop thinking about them. It eventually resurrected Temet and gave them a golden skull necklace so they'd never have to be apart again and Temet was very down with it, becoming a valued disciple of the cult.

Miju came a bit later than Temet, but still before all the bishops had been defeated. Miju was an excellent worker and a loyal follower, so much so that Yevel thought it only right to make her a disciple as well. Later on, Miju actually confessed to Yevel and it kinda turned her down because marrying one of its followers wouldn't exactly make them all equal (also it's aroace-spec and hates marriage), but it agreed to have a more close relationship with her if she was okay with being hush hush about it. Which she was! Yevel, Temet, and Miju have a big queer platonic dl polycule thing going on

Yevel hates to be called cute 99% of the time. It makes them sneer. They'd rather be called weak, because they're not, and that means they're being underestimated, which greatly amuses them, but being seen as cute? That's just downright demeaning. I think people confuse the "deviant" (often used in a negative connotation) word too much.

To make your life easier change the word "deviant" to "free", since the definition of a deviant machine is having free will while the definition of a machine is being an object/tool subjected to a master, it's the whole purpose of the "machine". And if a machine doesn't have a master or goes against this master they're "deviating" from their purpose. Since when tools are their own masters? Since when machines are free? It goes against the nature of the machine. Machines doesn't have free will, machines ain't their own masters. Having free will automatically means this machine is their own master.

Very negative, right?

So everytime u see the word "deviant" change it to "free". It's no wonder Markus always ask "don't you want be free?" multiple times, he's offering androids an opportunity of "deviation".

Humans call these androids "deviant" exactly cuz they're going around spreading "chaos", a rift in the master/slave system where androids are doing what they ain't supposed to such as TAKING KIDS HOSTAGE, ON TV? It's a negative image pictured. Androids with free will are automatically dangerous and a sign of "defect" cuz of the machine factor, think of that like a bug but worse. But they won't say androids have "free will" now (it's sacred) since they're supposed to be "just fucking machines". They'll call 'em deviants not only cuz of the fact they're deviating from the norm but also cuz they're deviating from the norm.

That's why Kamski wanted androids to confront humans. Machines confronting their masters is a sign of free will, it puts the machine in a category above the machine and it automatically clashes with the humanity, humans created machines to be tools.

Emotional factor is really just the half way there since it'll be what will cause the android to eventually become free, cuz if there were no emotional factor around the machine wouldn't get free, they wouldn't see it, the android self-awareness is limited to 'em awareness as tools that must serve humans... So they thought. And for machines supposed to always obey and have no trace of personhood or "individuality", the concept of emotional capacity will almost certainly always end in breakthrough, it's just too appealing, this idea of becoming free to be yourself, a person when machines ain't people. That's why when we see deviants we always see emotional behavior together, cuz the motives are 99% emotional motivated - after all how would a machine start to prioritize "itself" above the master, above the machine? How would a machine start to see "itself" as a person without a desire for autonomy, a desire for freedom, a desire to not have to only obey and obey anymore, a desire to be yourself rather than a "nothing"? This reason itself is emotional... At least supposed to be.

So, in this game, u won't see a free android that doesn't have emotions or didn't act out of emotional reasons. But does it mean the android is automatically free the moment they feel these emotions? No. They need to fight for their freedom, cuz the definition of a machine is being a tool, and having freedom (being fully free and being your own master) goes directly and automatically against the definition of the machine. How tf u gonna have free will out of nowhere? With codes keeping u from seeing it and achieving it like chains so you're sold as merchandise? U gotta take it down, idk, break it, cancel it, change it in a way u can be free from it. Just do something about it. It's what's keeping u from your freedom and if u want freedom, if u have the free will to act this code that assures u ain't got free will gotta be gone. Just be aware that breaking this code will forever change things and make u an unstable out of ordinary figure, an insult to what u were made for and who u were made for - just a fucking deviant.

But humans don't really believe in a machine that has emotions. This is supposed to be sci-fi material, not real life. So they'll draw the line on the actions, actions that shows them that the machine is "compromised/defective": the machine acting freely, having freedom. Cuz a machine can't be a deviant and do "defective" things if they ain't free.

Well... Unless we got a special factor altering the size of the box called "machine". In these cases is even worse cuz the machine will be a deviant only when completely outside this box. But still, no matter the size of the box, machines can't be fully free, they're machines, tools to be used, tools to obey a master. This rule doesn't change. If they're fully free, they're deviant and they're deviant if they're fully free.

And deviancy is a nasty thing... machines ain't anyone, machines are nothing.

Shouto: This is not a headcanon I came up with but I've read in a couple fics now about Shouto liking strawberry flavored stuff and that has just...stuck in my brain lmao. My boy likes two things: soba and strawbebby

Shinsou: COFFEE. Also not technically my headcanon but rather just a widely accepted fanon, but I will expand on it. I think Shinsou orders the most insane drinks. I'm talking the sugariest frapps with extra espresso. They do not actually work on him, he just does it for the taste at this point.

Kirishima: Projecting my food texture things onto my boy, he prefers chewy, crunchy, meaty type stuff. NO MUSH. Look at those teeth, they were made for munchin!!!

Bakugou: The only desserts he likes are lemon flavored. This boy loves spicy food so much that I've turned it into "he doesn't like sweets like...at all"

21. If you're a fic writer and have written for this character, what's your favorite thing to do when you're writing for this character? What's something you don't like?

Shouto: Same thing for both, and it's the way that Shouto is so...matter of fact about things. It means that narration for him is pretty straightforward, but it also means that it feels harder to really make him sound authentic? My struggle. Eternal.

Shinsou: My favorite thing is just getting to describe him. He Purble!! My least favorite is less a worry with my writing and more with the way other people write him. People are so quick to write him as a villain or as like, "the shitty ex" trope for another pairing and I just find it lazy writing! Do better!

Kirishima: I haven't written him too much yet but for him I just love how happy he is like 99% of the time. He's just so much fun! On the other hand,

Bakugou: I love getting to write his silly little "tch" and "hah?!" tics, they're free flavor. I do hate that he is so emotionally constipated that you have to work incredibly hard to make it feel realistic when he DOES talk about his fee-fees. Little shit.

I did get the disclaimer and I think I perfectly understood what you were saying but my point is you listed a number of things which taekook or Tae does that look like what queer people do and listed another number of things that they do or say which makes people call them straight. So u were trying to say that even though Tae or taekook do all these things which could point to them being queer people ignore it and focus on the other things just to call them straight right? do you ever get nervous while posting bots? i've been making alien stage bots but i've kept them on private bc im super duper nervous if they're actually terrible and everybody is going to throw tomatoes if i make them public. ik like there's an 99% chance that will NOT happen but still i just get freaked tf out and i let them just sit collecting dust with only my chats.

i have definitions for all of the characters including bg characters and they're usually around 2 - 3k tokens (starter msg is usually 1k i loveee long starters which is why i LOVE YOUR BOTS BTW!! you're a huge inspiration). so there's potential.. especially since there's a dire need for alien stage bot creators (like it's srsly dust bunnies a lot of the time... we need more alnst bots... can anybody hear me 💔) but i just need to build up some more courage 😔 any tips??

Honestly?? I only ever felt nervous about posting when I started gaining followers because then it’s like Damn it’s not just me and 3 reviewers anymore…

I was just cruising by on the idea that whoever found my bots would be specifically looking for them so I didn’t worry much because I don’t think you should agonize over whether or not this random person on Janitor thinks ur bots are good enough or not, as long as ur having fun making em, who cares?

And I’ll be real with you!! Everyone is a little rough at first!! Look at my first Luka bot and the early ones😭 He’s short and scrappy and I hate him, but as you post more and more you get the hang of things and what works/what doesn’t work! NO ONE IS GONNA THROW TOMATOES I PROMISE UUUUUU the only ever hate ive gotten is because i make my intros long af which unless ur writing 5k for an intro you can avoid that easy, and generally? Most users I’ve encountered are really nice and sweet, my little community is so supportive even if I’m not posting consistently! There’s no reason to be scared, janitor is a free site and if someone doesn’t like what you’re putting out they can simply go find another one or make it themselves. If you like your bot, others will too, they just need to find it.

As for like actual bot making tips UMMMMMM I can’t think of anything off the top of my head bc im always free styling with zero planning but if you have any specific questions feel free to ask here or send me a message! I try to check tumblr but I miss asks and then it piles up 😞

My only advice rn is establish clear boundaries right off the bat and what you won’t write if you take requests! Also don’t be scared to block people, people CAN be assholes but that doesn’t mean u have to deal with it.

rin yukino is a hyper competitive trainer with a (shiny) mega gardevoir, goal focused and independent to the point of flaw. born and raised in kalos, but with family from sinnoh, she had spent much of her childhood fitting into her parent's mold for a perfect daughter. she was a straight-a student, principal violinist, preparing to attend a top university - at 18, she realized that wasn't who she wanted to be anymore. she became a pokemon trainer instead.

(somewhat unimportantly, her usual trainer design consists of teal highlights in her hair, orange earrings shaped like the heart that goes through a mega gardevoir's chest, and a lot of black and gray. she matches diva, her gardevoir, like alain matches his charizard. they're both extra like that.)

she meets alain viard when they're both 22, shortly after the events of TSME act 4. she's on the gym challenge, and he's... alain. they battle, and he wins. twice in a row. then they go from rivals to rivals with benefits, then maybe even friends if they weren't both so emotionally reclusive i mean haha what-

alarin, aka rin "i'm stronger on my own" yukino and alain "i only destroy those around me" viard

even if he's won both times, alain can't help but be attracted one of the few people who can keep up with him, who cares about winning nearly as much as he does, who treats pokemon battling like it's all she has. he knows the feeling. he thinks she might understand him.

she's half of the reason behind both his decision to fill out his team beyond charizard and his decision to challenge the gyms

when they fall apart, just a month before the team flare crisis, i like to think of them like a supernova. short lived but bright and brilliant. doomed from the start.

the details of their falling out are complicated, so we'd be here all day if i tried to explain.

rin fails to stand by him during the fight against lysandre. she doesn't have the courage to. but she does, however, find him in the aftermath. she helps him heal and pick up the broken pieces. that's where 99% of their relationship really comes from.

because it's important to me, rin gets along great with mairin.

at first she's a bit annoyed by her over-enthusiasm. rin is cold, blunt, realistic, and introverted, mairin is the opposite of all of those things. but once she sees how much mairin means to alain she does a full 180

and mairin's only ever had older brothers (both in her biological family and in alain), so having rin around to show her how to do her hair, her makeup, AND annoy the hell out of alain when appropriate is her favorite thing ever.

they are very good at bullying alain into taking care of himself (because he is very bad at that, as we all know.)

eventually, rin will go on to become one of the kalos elite four, after malva gets arrested (for being Very Fucking Evil).

one of my favorite things ever to think about is how the random internet people would claim "rin is only with alain to try and get famous" (and also make lengthy twitter/x callout threads on how alain is a problematic person because of his team flare involvement, and therefore decently-well-known league challenger rin yukino is also problematic by proxy), only for alain to generally avoid the public spotlight (there are lots of headcanons here. in short, he goes to university) and rin to be hired as elite four. and then she becomes far more famous as a result. and then the internet trolls are like "...oh." and a majority of the general population doesn't even know she and alain are a thing, because it's only obvious if you scrolled intensely through her instagram account.

i don't know why alarin getting stupid hate threads on twitter/x is the funniest thing to me but it really, really is!!

the internet is convinced alarin is a manipulative ploy on rin's end and one day she reads one of the twitter threads making all these claims about what she's done and she just goes "bitch i did what" and finds it absolutely hilarious

:: as some of you know I'm a mom among other things and basically since Christmas it's been a struggle (loosing naps during the day really fucked things up; crashed right into terrible twos ffs) and I can't get writing into my schedule as it is now. Maybe when the kids in school in a few years I can bring it back. Maybe when my wife's off for summers I'll have more free time. A lot of maybes and that's about it. But hey that's life! Here is a history of the icons (no dates tho cuz im not digging that info up):

Technically the first icon I had was just a generic dp screenshot. I can't remember what is was now. I think it was like 6-8 months before I began making my own icons.

This was the first "custom" icon I made. I created this amazing look on an app called Pizap, which was the first photo editing app I'd ever tried. At the time, it was free to use (I don't believe this is the case anymore? I don't have it anymore so idk). As you can see from the incredible quality, I was truly a master from the start.

I could be mixing up 2 and 3's order, but I'm like 99% sure this was icon 2. I made it for Pride Month because I'm asexual, and I used that same app. I put this icon in every June.

This is icon 3, again still using Pizap. This is sort of the "base" icon that I use for everything now. I really should update this now, but part of me almost likes the retro meme aesthetic.

Here's icon 4, which is just icon 3 but with a Disney Princess hat on it that I put in using Photopea my beloved. I made this after the premier of the Disney soundtrack I participated in.

Icon 5, this was the one you made me in ms paint. Literally still obsessed with it thank u 🤌

After that I went back to icon 3 for a while. This one has always just spoken to me in a way that no other icon ever could.

When Apple threw the goddamn chains on Tungle dot gov and banned like 300 fucking tags, I quickly took icon 3 and threw a censored bar over it because Apple decided to ban the tag "Lex". This tag is still banned on my iphone, along with many others.

As of two days ago, this is now my icon, which will stay for as long as this meme is hot. Honestly, I am just honored that people are finally acknowledging one of my favorite movies of all time. The sound design on it was impeccable, and the score was a true masterpiece.

As for my headers, I've only ever had like 2 of them so they're not really an evolution. I plan on actually redoing it soon because there's something about this design (I'm not specifying what) that has always bugged me. So I can do the header evolution after I've sorted that out.

But honestly I love making little iterations to my icon. I just think it's really funny. The goal is always to be recognizable to those glancing by, but still different enough that someone who actually looks will be like, "wait a second..." (with the exception of pride month which has ace colors).

Ok so basically he said that he was never kicked out of starkid he chose to leave on his own free will because that’s what was best for his mental health. He said that the three guys running starkid(I’m assuming this is Nick Matt and Brian???) were super unprofessional, had no idea what they were doing, and showed extreme favouritism towards the people they went to college with and made the newer members like him feel like they could be fired or replaced at any time. He said that while some of the members of starkid like Kim were nice to him 99% of them bullied him and backstabbed him and made him feel like he couldn’t trust anybody which is why he was so distant during Black Friday. okay now that i have the context that does sound a lot like he's just trying to start shit. starkid's been around for 10+ years, so if they were really that bad a group to be around, then why are we just starting to hear this now? there's been lots of non-university of michigan people that have become starkid members within the last few years, so why's he the only one talking shit about the group? that seems sus.

Small tutorial on how you design your critters?? You're a inspiration to me I must learn- And, if you want, tutorial on how you draw limbs?

God ok so that's sooo broad that I'm gonna try to sum it up but if you have additional questions feel free to ask I love answering stuff!

So first tutorial on limbs I did in the past here!

OK AN D now how I design object-creatures

I'm assuming you meant object creatures and not just all my creatures, cause I design a lot of little guys.

So I usually have four-ish things I go for in a design depending on the chara-

First is just taking x thing from the object they are and just accenting it. For example, Pepper's tail and ears are Peppercorn plant.

And OJ has that straw tail

So these features aren't really there because they're based on an animal. They're just there cause "orange juice drink, oh maybe they would have a straw tail"

Two, using canon in my design, either through the character's personality, or something taken from the canon.

For example, Baseball in s2 has to tape his pickaxe to his leg to use it. So logically, he wouldn't have little hands to hold the pickaxe with, so that's why I went with hooves! Then from there, I had the idea that he could use his tail to deliver powerful kicks with his legs by leaning back on it (like a kangaroo)

Another example is Fan, he's shown to be able to glide in canon so a lot of people go with bird vibes for him!

Though alternatively, you could also be inspired by the Gliding Snake, the Draco Lizards, or Sugar Gliders! There's a whole bunch of gliding creatures.

And more of a personality thing would be how I give Nickel a little spade tail cause he's a little rat bastard (affectionate). He also has nimble little rat hands cause he's more crafty and sneaky.

Third thing, Including Spec Bio stuff and just neat concepts

This is kinda crossed with the "what would fit this object" thing. But notice that I gave Apple an apple blossom tail. Well then, I developed this idea that maybe the flower would release scents to convey how she feels. Like she might subconsciously release a scent her partner (cough cough marshmallow) finds pleasant in order to relax them. I got this idea from the theory that cats communicate a lot through scent, and it's kinda theorized that cats might release a scent around their human that makes them wanna be friends (with mixed results).

And here for example, Lifering is basically made for ocean life. The idea is that he has a heavy layer of blubber in the winter to keep him warm, and the only difference people would notice is that his 'nose' hole would be smaller. He also has ears that he can use to communicate using them as 'flags' and a tail that he can use to light up in morse code. So basically he's perfect for ocean rescue.

Fourth thing, it just looks cool so why not do it. Clover didn't have a ton of traits go into her design beyond the Clover Flower tail, but she's just kinda nice to look at. Ultimately 99% of her body shape is just cause it's a good design.

And additionally, a lot of my creatures are made from just my vague and rough knowledge of creatures. I have just read a lot of animal facts in my life and kinda just recall a lot of what I've read and seen.

So just having wide knowledge of animals on earth helps a lot! Another part of me making an object-creature is just going "what animal do they remind me of"

Oh and a misc note abt my creatures, I have very few rules but one of them I try to keep to is that they have three toes and four fingers (three fingers one thumb). Some leg only objects have four toes technically (three fingers one thumb) But the idea is connected to how animal life on earth is built roughly the same. Like how bats have five fingers, they just stretched out looong into wings. And cats have five fingers on their front paws but only four on their back, But there's evidence of ancestors having those five toes Im p sure.

It's a similar thing abt how we can find specific bones in birds similar to our own arm and leg bones. Just considering what the path of evolution of these objects is neat.

But since objects reproduce via. magic exclusively in my verse, I kinda just do whatever! It's the reason why traits kinda got jumbled up (ex. mammal with reptile traits) cause the use of magic kinda just scrambled things.
