I- I don't know how many times I mentioned this, and I don't know why it ALWAYS has to be with Tim 😭

(I feel like someone is going to end up thinking I hate Tim when he's my third favorite- and he's only third because Steph stole second place recently).

I find it incredible how fans have it SO in their heads that the only detective in the Batfam other than Batman is Tim.

Me: -mentioned something about Dick being a prodigy detective-

X random, normally from tiktok: Ah... That's actually Tim.

Me: ???? *I show comic panels of Dick being a great detective since he was a child*

X random: No, that's bc the writers stole that trait from Tim.

Me: THESE COMICS ARE BEFORE EVEN JASON, HOW ARE THEY GOING TO STEAL SOMETHING FROM A CHARACTER THAT DOESN'T EXIST YET???

I understand more when they talk about computers because when Dick was Robin, computers weren't as normalized as they are today, so he didn't grow up around that environment. He's a more than good hacker, but he's no match for Barbara or Tim, and I'm okay with that, I know that.

But when they downplay Dick's abilities (or even his intelligence, like, WTF), in order to praise Tim... omfgpleasestop

I don't think there is a big difference between the IQ of both of them, but they are equally intelligent, but in different areas. This also applies to their detective methods.

Tim is completely logical and systematic, while Dick is intuitive.

This doesn't mean that Tim can't be intuitive and Dick can't be logical, they both are logical and intuitive, but they use their primary method and their backup method differently, that's all.

And I really need the fandom to stop pigeonholing itself into black and white, into "he has this ability and he doesn't", when probably all batkids have the same abilities, just on different scales.

I don't think any of them have one of their stats at 0, but at different numbers which gives each of them unique characteristics, without needing to lower the others.

I don't imagine kitty Max is the biggest fan of nasty dog Carlos - he's always pulling his tail and trying to touch his ears and calling him gatito, but unfortunately that's not gonna matter a whole lot when Carlos scruffs him, shakes him a little and then rubs his stupid smelly face everywhere until poor Maxy is absolutely covered in his scent :/

Max definitely doesn't like the nasty dog scent on him of course that's why he has to make sure to properly clean Carlos with his tongue and rub his own scent all over him (effectively erasing the annoying mouse undertone in the process). Carlos can't complain he loooooves the purring delight in his lap ♡ Charles, however....

Terumob is an excellent ship to me for a variety of reasons, but one of my highlights is the fact that on one hand you have a blond boy with the most absurd coping mechanisms ever seen by man, who spent years being suffocated by apathy and loneliness and spite only to be absolutely obliterated by a random kid who introduced him to the concept of "You're A Human Person With Flaws", and as a consequence developed an unhealthy homoromantic obsession with him (as rivals of course) until he is obliterated again, but this time with the revelation that his dear rival also is a Human Person With Flaws and that doesn't stop blond boy from loving him even if it gets him killed.

On the other you have another boy with bad coping mechanisms, but that in the tiniest outcome he starts liking blond boy back, it is pretty normal and unrelated to all the dramatic obsessive previously mentioned things. There is no tragic flair its just that his good friend is handsome and kind with him.

Wish the book version of American Psycho was more well known because the author intentionally described all the fits as completely ridiculous but it's easy to miss stuff like Patrick wearing a PAISLEY BATHROBE WITH POLKA DOT SLIPPERS when you're being bombarded with brand names and tech specs and haircare ingredients. I would love to see what those outfits would actually look like in real life, but sadly you'll only see the movie's fashion when you try to look up American Psycho outfits.

Ok, I can understand why people call Cal sadistic and a masochist, but I really think Andre was waaay worse than him. People tend to say that Cal is actually worse because of the things he says to his victims in the shooting, so I'll give my generous opinion about that 🙏

Cal, in the shooting (in my opinion) is pissed AS FUCK. He only wants to get his shit done, and when people says he's "enjoying himself" it's in that part when that random dude talked to him. He was almost all the time screaming ("SHUT UP!!") and telling andre to hurry. I understand his pissy mood in two different ways: 1. He wants to kill himself the fastest way possible (after giving a lesson to those who messed with him) 2. I'm pretty sure Cal doesn't stand people screaming in general, we can see in the prom that he's basically not there in every fucking scene, ditching Rachel to go with Andre because (I assume) he couldn't stand people yelling at his side all the fucking night.

Andre is the one who's having fun, making fun of the people he shot or killed (the "hi buddy" scene, when he makes fun about the way a girl fell) , making fun of the people crying (when he sits in front of that girl whose crying her eyes out) and making fun of the people who he hasn't shot yet (the "You're too pathetic" scene and when he kills the other guy who was hiding in the sofa), he was truly enjoying himself. Not angry as it seems in the entirety of the movie, he was fucking laughing.

Andre is a smart guy, he could of thought of another way of teaching the people that messed with him a lesson, but he didn't. He chose to kill, he chose to do a fucking massacre.

Cal is evil, but I think the rage that andre has inside of him, makes him way fucking worse. Cal just tagged along in the shooting because he wanted to make a mark, he wanted to do something big before passing away (he's a fucking psycho too, don't get me wrong). Andre tagged along because he wanted to kill.
