Guys call me crazy but I think the crazy robots would get along swimmingly. For anyone who doesn’t know, the name 3 Idiots comes from a Bollywood film of the same name with another rly funny trio

For personal reasons and because I loathe generalisations I hate the analysis of Vi and Jinx as the dynamic of “classic older sister takes on too much weight and younger sister is immature.”

However, Vi and Jinx are, in my opinion, a scrumptious example of the trauma bonded sibling dynamic: dangerously self-aware sibling versus emotionally constipated sibling.

What is this dynamic you ask? Well:

Dangerously self-aware sibling

Deals with their trauma by trying to fix the world, because they see their trauma everywhere and are so mad watching others turn into them. They desperately want to stop the cycle but feel powerless to do so because they can never be the "correct" person to change the world. They're already ruined! So they put other “better” people that could change the world on an unmeetable pedestal. They can’t actually have close connections because they distance everyone from them in this way. The people they meet inevitably fall from the pedestal - leading to a constant sense of betrayal and isolation and growing disdain towards people in general.

Meanwhile emotionally constipated sibling

Deals with their trauma by trying to fix people, because they are physically incapable of not blaming themselves for the trauma, so believe they can protect the people they care about from the same fate by fixing the people to not be as inherently flawed as themselves. The obsession with fixing people leads to single minded focus and devotion to their projects as they repeatedly debase themselves for them. But because of the unequal power dynamic now they’re being abused by the object of their devotion? Growing frustration, why isn’t the person being fixed properly? They bathe in self loathing. It must be their fault for not being a good enough sister/friend/lover. Repeat ad infinitum.
