I think it would be really funny if fashion trends in ghost city mirrored the style of their beloved shapeshifter chengzhu’s most recent appearance. Whatever he wears? That’s what’s IN right now. It would also be funny if they always got it like. Slightly wrong. Chengzhu is wearing a long coat today! Long clothing MUST be the most fashionable. If your coat isn’t down the whole block, it isn’t in! The longer the better! Chungzhu is wearing hoop earrings today? Of course big rings are all the rage these days. Put them on your ears, your nose, your fingers, hell put them on your whole body! On your house! On your dog! The bigger the better! Look, he even gave a ring to grandunc—I mean his wife!!! If you don’t have one, you’re gonna look SO last week. Chungzhu’s wearing black today? Of course that’s the best color. Didn’t you know? The assumptions people are making on Veilguard bc ALL decisions won’t carry over are insane to me “OH so morrigan won’t mention her ONLY SON!! or her roMANCE??”. We have no idea what context or capacity she’s going to be in the game? In skyhold, she stayed at skyhold for a while, so it made sense to chat her up and ask about her life. Also Kieran was THERE bc he was TEN. Kieran is now in his twenties and most likely living his own life. If we’re saving the world and fighting darkspawn WHY would her grown ass son come up? Esp when she doesn’t even know Rook?? Like i would understand if we had veilguard in our hands and people were complaining bc Morrigan actually had dialogue invalidating their canon but for fuck’s sake the game isn’t even out yet. They’re saying it doesn’t matter as in it’s not gonna come up bc Rook is busy doing other shit, rather than quizzing characters who aren’t companions on their lives. “What about Varric”. Varric seems to have a pre-established relationship with Rook which means you can headcanon that they already had the talk about Varric’s life story considering he called them his “second in command”. Like cancel your preorders, preorder, do whatever you want no one on the internet is the boss of you. But oh my fucking god complaining about something you don’t even fully know about is already getting so old. Best case scenario, you’re right and i guess your bitching is validated yay for you ig. Worst case, you’re wrong and like wasted so much time and energy bitching for nothing. Like I completely understand being upset the choices don’t carry over, it IS disappointing! But we don’t even KNOW what it’s going to affect if anything at all. It’s just so funny how everyone was like “it’s not about the Inquisitor” and now that the focus is confirmed to be pretty much entirely on Rook and the inquistor’s choices barely seem to matter in game and half of everybody has lost the plot bc of it and we don’t even actually know how this will affect the game like ????

Observation #56 million re:Wicked is how, for as much of a two-woman show the film is, it highlights just how massively the secondary characters help dictate the tone of a thing.

There’s many small choices that make it play less satirically than the stage version, but a LOT of it is on making Fiyero immediately present as *genuinely* charming as opposed to an overt caricature, and making Morrible a grounded straight-woman.

Without the tweaks to those two characters specifically you have a VERY different movie that probably doesn’t work as well dramatically.

These people will never understand why so many of us first became fans of Daniel in 2022, why we stuck with him through all the difficult times and why we would still have shown up to see him get P16 in a vcarb because he raced with as much passion in a midfield car as he did in a top car.

They’ll never understand Daniel’s true impact on this sport, but the one thing they understand is money. And they will see the impact of his loss on their bottom lines. While it’s infuriating to see how this guy only sees Daniel as a show pony, I’m going to feel vindicated when in a few weeks, when all the media and Red Bull have exhausted all the ways they could dismantle his career, there’s going to be quantifiable proof of his loss to this sport.

i seriously need more narumi and mina moments because just imagine the relief mina felt when narumi joined, similar age to her and was also considered a prodigy in the force.

to have someone to share the burden of the defence force’s future with must’ve felt so freeing. because before he joined it was just her, age 18, being told that she was going to change kaiju extermination with her exceptional synergy with firearms. and she was so, so scared.

narumi doesn’t have the kind of skills or talent for long range combat like she does, but he’s also a top candidate (despite his behavioural issues- which aren’t much of a hinderance anyway) and mina doesn’t have to carry the burden of the future alone anymore

(although she’d never admit, given she probably views narumi as someone completely shocking i just think it’s so funny how she stood there like O_O when she first saw him)

like i LOVE seeing the contrast. mina who was sent onto the battlefield for the first time and was deathly afraid vs narumi who was sent out and immediately took action because that’s how he always lived (fighting)

and now they’re the top two strongest captains in the force and they will be the ones to lead the new generation..

I wanted to design some fun alt skins for Genshin characters, (especially after going through the character archive and realizing that basically no one is wearing pink which was a bit of a surprise tbh,) and ended up inventing a whole potential event to go with it. My thought process went:

Kaveh pretty bird —> Get that man in a kimono stat —> Wait why is he in Inazuma —> Pretty much every island in Inazuma except Narukami is totally wrecked but only Watatsumi seems to be doing any rebuilding which is kinda bunk —> Have the shogunate hire Kaveh to rebuild some villages —> Ehehe Seirai pretty so let’s have it be Seirai themed assuming the traveler cleared the Thunderbird so it could be repopulated—> Alhaitham needs one too bc they just go together so I’ll base Kaveh’s outfit on the Seirai sky (purple clouds + sunset + thunderbird + keeping architectural and lotus flower motifs) and Alhaitham’s on Seirai plants (naku weeds + amakumo fruit + teal grass + keeping signature leaf shapes and color palettes and adding to it.)

I’d like to imagine that these outfits were a gift from Kaveh’s new friend Yae. He met her at a bar loudly and drunkenly complaining about his roommate, and Yae, realizing this man was a walking talking light novel inspo goldmine, listened intently and seemed very supportive. This evolved into meeting up for drinks every weekend while he’s staying in Inazuma, in which he tells her all about his life and his friends and then promptly forgets all about it. It takes him at least a couple months for him to put together exactly who she is, and he gets pretty embarrassed about it, but they end up pretty close buddies. I also think Yae could use friends who are not either other shrine maidens, intimidated by her in some way, or Ei. She basically spends all her time playing with dolls, but the dolls are people. We also know for a fact that she cannot resist putting pretty men in ~outfits~ from the whole Gorou/Miss Hina thing.

(She was also the one who encouraged him to write a letter to invite Alhaitham to a festival celebrating the completion of the construction. She throws matching outfits at them promptly upon arrival.)

(The light novel series based on the mess that is Kaveh makes it all the way to Sumeru. Collei recognizes it and shows it to Tighnari and Cyno and thry all lose their minds. Kaveh reads it on his own at some point, but never really puts the pieces together.)

If I may, how do you typically approach choosing colors in your art? It always has just a lovely feel to it, so I was a bit curious; don't feel pressured to answer ofc :]

I’ve been using a lot of gradient maps lately, they work by switching the greys in your piece with a corresponding colour according to its value. Basically, I colour in black and white, grab a gradient map, and then I adjust the colours by hand until I’m happy with it. This isn’t the only kind of colouring I do, but it works great if you’re in a rush or you’re struggling to find a good starting point for your colours. I’ve been operating under a time crunch for these Sketchbook Week drawings and the Plenism promo stuff I made, so for all except one I used gradient maps. I’m actually in a bit of a funk with my colours right now soooo I’ll come back and do a proper colouring tutorial for my style once I’m happier with how my non gradient mapped colours are looking !
