Hannibal season three is making enemies out of my mother and I - she grows ever angrier at Hannibal (unfeeling psychopath incapable of love according to her) and is the most rampant Will Graham apologist you will ever meet; she is convinced that Will has not been accountable for his actions since meeting Hannibal, that he’s been brainwashed and basically forced to act as he does, and is in actuality an innocent victim 😭 every time we try talking about any of this, both of us get sulky lol

RIP y’all but I saw Five and Lila coming from a mile away.

The last time Five was stuck in the apocalypse he developed feelings for a mannequin, okay, his love map has never been normal. Of course he was going to develop feelings for the only other living person he was with who he already cared deeply about.

And Lila didn’t cheat on Diego. Despite neither of them saying it, both Lila and Five thought they were stuck there forever and that their families would die while they were stuck.

And OF COURSE they still had feelings for each other when they got back!! They had just spent the last seven years together and they had literally been back for a minute.

Five wasn’t trying to hurt Diego, he just can’t help but form unhealthy attachments to things. In S1 he literally risked his life in that department store to get Delores back, and that was after five years of not being with her while he was working at the commission. Give the old man a break.

I agree it shouldn’t have happened, but since it was apparently going to happen no matter what (fuck you Steve Blackman) I think it happened in the best way possible (aka literally making Five and Lila the last two people on earth).

It makes sense that the HTTYD Vikings wouldn’t know this while they were fighting for their lives against Furious’ forces but….Furious declared war on ALL of humanity right?? Did he just start with the Vikings and the Americas have no fucking clue what might be about to hit them? Is everyone else just chilling or did HTTYD become an alternate history series off screen while dragons stole Visigoth valour and fridged the Roman Empire hundreds of years earlier? Aka were their multiple fronts to the red rage that attacked other human societies or did Furious pile all of his forces on the Vikings? Is this a post apocalypse novel set in America where secretly the rest of the world is totally fine and the Americans don’t know?

i swear this website is slowly turning me into an ai defender against my will. like guys. you know the problem is with the companies laying off workers and using ai to do their jobs and not with the technology itself. and the solution to the problems created by new ai technology is to put legal protections for workers in place and to give people the technological literacy to know not to use generative ai text as a source for information. right. right?? even complaints about students using it to cheat on essays feel a bit overexaggerated to me. kids have been finding new and creative ways to cheat on homework since the beginning of time and this is frankly doing nothing but making it a bit easier. and honestly maybe i’m underestimating the quality of newer ai technology but i think if a kid can get away with using chat gpt to write their essays and walk away with a good grade then maybe their teacher is not actually examining the contents of their work all that carefully. anyway this is simply me getting increasingly irked at the amount of posts about ai i see on here that seem to boil down to “new unfamiliar tech thing bad.” plus a lot of posts dunking on ai art that i’ve seen seem to be very concerned with keeping a clear and easily definable definition of what “art” is in a way that rings some alarm bells for me.

there’s just something about the angry perversion of the soft “Angel of Music” melody and the power behind the phantom’s voice that shows how dangerous this ‘Angel’ really is. his introduction— filled with beautiful music and absolute rage and jealousy— just absolutely overtakes you.

and then when it’s mixed with the degradation of Raoul as a suitor for Christine and a man in general… the phantom isn’t entirely WRONG, of course. Raoul does very much seem to know how to get along in “proper” society. but he is also willing to die for Christine at the end of the show, so he isn’t as frivolous as the phantom wants to believe either.

it’s such a good character introduction for both of them and it just GETS ME EVERY TIME
