What gets me about Feyre’s character is the inconsistencies.
Like in ACOMAF, we see her get upset over the Tithe thing in the Spring Court. And she chooses to help the wraith, even knowing that they’re not notoriously ‘good’ people. While I don’t think the Tithe makes Tamlin a monster, I can see why Feyre would get upset. It felt very much like something she would do up until that point.
However, when she goes to the Hewn City, it never dawns on her that there could be other innocent women there like Mor. I know she’s not in control at first, but even when goes back as their High Lady, she never questions it. When Keir ignores her, she even thinks “As I’m sure he ignored most women in his life”. And then he excuses himself from the meeting to ‘deal’ with somebody’s daughter (the man who mutilated his OWN daughter, btw) and she’s just cool with it???? It’s so clearly stated how women have little to no rights in the Court of Nightmares and everyone’s just cool with abusive, sexist men staying in control? And Rhysand’s whole “umm actually I rule this city 😠” every 9 months when he needs their army is so fucking stupid like bro you are allowing these men to hurt these women and you DON’T CARE. But that’s our feminist king😻
And don’t even get me started on her taking out her own personal vendetta on a whole court instead of just Tamlin. Ya know, the people she was just fighting for against the Tithe? Yeah she was like “fuck it you’re all dead to me now”. Okay Mrs. High Lady making terrible fucking choices already😭
I guess SJM is saving the dismantlement of the Court of Nightmares for Mor’s book (if we even get that) but for Feyre to not even question it more just because Rhysand said so genuinely aggravates me so much. She had no problem questioning Tamlin’s ruling decisions but somehow Rhys is absolved from all of that? Really? Is the dick that good, girl? Did she lose her morals in becoming his mate and High Lady? I need answers

Brianna is making themselves out to be a victim of “Trans Twitter”? Lmao, that is such a reliable canard. Trans twitter, that all powerful group that controls everything, is coming after poor Brianna—who remember, didn’t do anything wrong except back up a trans/homophobic racist by calling a Black woman a man 🙄
Hoo boy 😮‍💨
Brianna Wu has officially gone the route of Caitlyn Jenner
As if Brittney Griner didn’t go through enough hell as a fucking Russian prisoner, Brianna Wu had to get that “pick me, I’m different but still terfy” dig in, to make clear whose side they’re on
BTW, the phrase everyone seems to be missing in that twitter thread is “racialized misogyny” … that’s the reason a lot of white Starbucks feminists train their fire on Black women so much. Remember how Lena Wilson tried to go after Amandla Stenberg? Same thing: “queer” white women going after Black women for clout points—and the second they get called out on their bullshit, they fall back on playing the victim of an “innocent” misunderstanding. They tried to throw a Black person under the white feminism bus to grow their own status. And they absolutely know what they are doing, and you better believe that if their dig was more well received, there wouldn’t have been any apology afterwards (half assed as it was)
And that’s all without me even getting into the fact that Brianna was tweeting from a notorious conservative racist transphobe, Lauren Chen
Anyway, remember: if you scratch a TERF, a racist bleeds

Don't mean to pressure you or anything but I really miss fotp and that last chap had me wanting to tear my heart open (TT)
If you're up for it, can I request for a short fluff abt mc and president t's marriage life? Or if you're still feeling villain-y, an angst will do! 😚
Hope you're having a fine dayyy, love all your works btw! 🫶🏻
astralaffairs villain era canceled. let me also refer u to late nights & speech writes for some president thom husband material
‐----------------
“And where the hell have you been?” Strong hands grabbed Y/N by the waist the minute she locked the door behind her, and she squealed, stumbling over the hem of her long dress as she was pulled into a strong body. Rough wool scratched her bare shoulders. “‘S late. A woman like you shouldn’t be out all on your own like this. Who knows what coulda happened.”
Her laugh was breathless as Thomas kissed her neck, his stubble harsh against her skin, and her hands came to cover his as his arms wrapped around her waist. “Oh, please. I don’t think I’ve left the White House in the last 72 hours; I’m not exactly looking for trouble.”
“So why’ve you been out all night, hm?” He nipped at her earlobe, but she rolled her eyes. “Who’ve you been with all this time, sugar?”
“That Russian ambassador who did not want to hear that I have an early morning tomorrow,” she said dryly. “This is the worst part about state dinners. All the old men in the room still talk to me like I’m their young prospect rather than a peer in government who’s here as my job.”
“They’re all goddamn relics; don’t let ‘em get to you,” Thomas said. “They’re dinosaurs, and they’re gonna be dead in a few months, anyway.”
“At this rate, they’ll also be running entire countries when they’re on life support,” Y/N grumbled, and his laugh was sardonic.
“‘N they’re still gonna be tryin’ to hit on you when they’re hauling oxygen tanks around here behind ‘em.” He turned her around in his arms, and her drained expression made him frown. Her eyes looked empty. “‘M sorry you don’t get the respect you deserve at these events, though, sweetheart. Wish there was something more I could do."
"I don't expect you to be able to end all sexism in government, believe me," she said, reaching up to loosen his tie. "Doesn't help that they all see you as the ultimate guy's guy, though. Thomas Jefferson, the good all-American trust-fund baby who loves steak and baseball."
"Maybe I'll eat some tofu 'n take up figure skating," he suggested mildly as she slid her hands under the collar of his blazer, pushing it down his shoulders. He withdrew his arms from her waist for just long enough to shake the jacket off, discarding it on the chair by his desk in the corner. "I've always thought there was a whole lotta power in embracing the traditionally feminine."
"Sure you have," she scoffed. He grinned, taking a step back toward their bed with her in his arms as she started undoing the knot in his tie. "You regularly smoke cigars with foreign heads of state to celebrate national alliances. You're the epitome of the boys club."
"Hey, I smoke the cigars with women holdin' office too," he defended. She slid his tie out from the collar of his shirt.
"You're truly a feminist icon." The words were ironic as she pulled his button down out from where he'd tucked it into the waist of his pants, walking him back toward their bed all the while, and he raised an eyebrow.
"You're talkin' a whole lotta mess for somebody who's trying to undress me."
"You're not putting up much of a fight." She raised an expectant eyebrow, looking him in the eye as she undid his belt buckle, and when he pulled her close, she slid her hands up his chest. She fiddled with the top button on his dress shirt as he guided both of them through the final few steps between him and the foot of their bed.
"'N you're awful lucky I'm not." As he sat on the edge of the mattress, she stood between his parted thighs as he pulled her dress up her legs. "You just came home from a long night of work, 'n all you wanna do is objectify me? 'M a whole lot more than just a hot body, Ms. L/N."
Despite his words, when the hem of her dress was high enough for him to slide his hands under it, he pulled her onto the bed with him, straddling his lap as his hands ran up her bare thighs. She cocked her head to one side.
"You mean 'Mrs. Jefferson'?" she asked, and he grinned.
"Yeah, but I like it a whole lot better when you say it." He pushed her dress up her body until her hands covered his to pull it over her head, and although she didn't seem particularly concerned with where it landed, she suddenly felt very exposed in just her lingerie on his lap. His eyes didn't stray from her face, however. He pulled her closer by her bare waist, and her arms hung loosely over his shoulders. The open ends of his belt poked at her inner thighs. "Reminds all those Russian diplomats you're off the market."
"I have a feeling Nebenzya isn't trying to steal me away," she said, but Thomas shrugged. "With the way he talks about you, he might be hoping we're looking for a third."
"Unfortunately for Vasily, he wouldn't be at the top of my list," Thomas said, and Y/N's eyebrows shot up.
"Oh, you have a list, now?" she asked. He gave a lazy grin.
"Sugar, I've always had a list," he informed her, and she frowned. He kissed her downturned lips. "If we're working from the number one spot, though, we might have some trouble."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"Well, I've got a feeling John Adams wouldn't be too amenable to the idea," he said frankly, and Y/N's surprised laugh was closer to a scoff. "'N I don't feel like we know John Jay well enough as a couple, so that's not gonna fly, but inviting Lafayette just feels like it'd make things weird between all of us."
"Is your whole list made up of men?”
“‘Course.” His answer was immediate, but her skeptical gaze didn’t waver. He ran his hands down her thighs. “You already know you’re the only woman I got eyes for.”
“You’re so corny,” she said softly, running her hands down his shoulders to his upper chest. She picked at the buttons on his dress shirt. "Better tone it down before I get the wrong idea and fall in love with you."
"Now, we certainly can't have that."
"Especially not now. I'm too busy to take a lover, I'm afraid," she said, working down the buttons on his shirt to reveal his bare chest. "I'm just married to my work these days."
"'N you mean that literally, don't you, Madam First Lady?" He undid his cufflinks when she finished with his buttons, and he slid them into his pocket. However, he didn't take the shirt off despite her pushing its fabric down his shoulders. Rather, he took her hands in his, lacing his fingers into hers. "You're just a regular Mrs. America."
"You're really gonna stop me from taking your shirt off after you got me down to my underwear?"
"If I let you finish undressing me, it's gonna be a while before we get to sleep," he said, and she shrugged innocently. "We've gotta be up again in five hours. We both oughta get some rest."
"Being the first couple isn't nearly as sexy as I hoped it'd be." She sat back on her heels, resting her hands on his legs, and he gave her a tired smile. "Take the rest of your clothes off and come to bed, at least. I feel like I've hardly seen you all week."
"Right now, I'm all yours," he assured her. "Lemme get up 'n get some pajamas, though. Put on something other than a full suit for once."
"Just sleep without them," she countered, and he raised an eyebrow. "I like the feeling of your skin against mine. Just makes me feel more connected to you, I guess."
"You're adorable." He kissed her on the forehead, his smile endeared, and she could feel the heat rising to the tips of her ears as he leaned back to take his shirt off. After he did, though, he pulled her in closer, picking her up by her thighs as he stood, and she yelped, grabbing onto his shoulders. When he deposited her on his side of the bed, he undid his dress pants, taking them off before joining her on the mattress.
He crawled atop her where she lay on her back watching him, and as he dipped down to kiss her, one hand slid under her back, and she arched up against him. However, as he kissed down her neck, he unhooked her bra and leaned back to slide it down her arms. When he discarded it onto the floor, she was watching him with wide eyes, but he only kissed her forehead before rolling off of her and pulling the covers over them both. He reached over to turn off the lamp at his bedside.
"For what it's worth," he murmured as he wrapped an arm around her waist, and she rolled onto her side, letting him pull her into his body, "we've got plenty of time to sleep in on Saturday morning."
"Oh, yeah?" She rested her arm atop his, lacing her fingers into his.
"Mhm." He kissed the back of her shoulder. "So Friday night, you better not come home too tired."
"I'm gonna need all my energy for when I find you and Adams in our bed, huh?" When his hold on her tightened, his cold feet brushed against her shins, and she shivered.
"Not this time, sweetheart," he promised. "Once I get you alone, you better bet I'm not sharing you."

this is the post anon is referring to btw, for those who can’t be arsed to type the link out lmao.
anyway; transmisogyny is real, and attempts at mocking it in this way are imo very unnecessary. i guess some radical feminists could find gaps and holes w/ calling it transmisogyny, but having language & terms specific to unique experiences & struggles is important, and arguing over semantics when real life people are being discriminated against, is very redundant. you can refuse to call it transmisogyny, but at the end of the day, the experiences that trans women face will still be real, even if you personally dislike the term “transmisogyny”. the bigotry that falls under transmisogyny will be real regardless of if you personally want to call it transmisogyny or not.
i have no issue with “tma/tme” being a thing. i have no issue with this language, and i don’t care to police trans women’s language when they are speaking of their specific oppression. i don’t think acknowledging that a specific demographic is primarily affected by a form of bigotry somehow assumes other demographics cannot also be targeted in some situations & circumstances [trans men can be affected by transmisogyny in the cases where they are assumed to be transfem, trans women can face female-specific misogyny when they are assumed to be female, etc etc], which is why i take issue with all the whataboutism going on in spaces advocating for the acknowledgement of transandrophobia/antitransmasculinity/transandromisogyny (“a person with ambiguous sex characteristics & a fluid gender presentation stands before you!! quick!! determine whether they’re tma or tme!!”)– however i also believe putting “tme” in your bio seems very strange and off-putting (and same goes for tma). that would be like demanding people to put racism-affected or racism-exempt in their bios. or homophobia-affected and homophobia-exempt. it reeks of performative, i don’t like it. i also don’t like the way that so many advocates for the usage of this language seem to be very misogynistic themselves towards transmascs & even all female people broadly, taking advantage of language that could be exceptionally useful for naming transfem-specific oppression. tma & tme are useful terms. misogynistic & more specifically anti-transmasc behavior circulating around the usagers of the terms is not.
you can rightfully critique the undermining of female-specific misogyny & denial of sex-based oppression without undermining & denying another very legitimate & tangible form of oppression. mocking someone’s real life experiences, experiences that often lead to death, is not pro-feminist, even if you personally don’t want to include those people in your specific female-only activism. that’s my two cents.

alicent believing it was Aegon that Viserys was talking about always makes me laugh lol Aegon? our son Aegon? the one you can't even remember the name of?
God help me I don't know why this show is so allergic to ambitious women, for some unbeknownst reason they are doing everything in their power to stop it from happening. Alicent did not crown Aegon because she misheard Viserys' dying words, she crowned him because SHE WANTS HER SON ON THE THRONE!
She was literally telling Aegon he'll be king THREE episodes ago.
Tumblr media
Or did the morons once again forget their own writing?
It goes back to the overall problem with Alicent’s character, the writers don't know what to do with her because they're so desperate to keep her as a 24/7 victim with 0 agency.
She needs to crown Aegon but we don’t want her to turn against her bestie from 16 years ago who she was literally accusing of high treason one episode ago, what do we do??? I know! Let’s have her mishear Viserys’ dying words, that way we won’t break out in hives by writing a woman who can think for herself! 😃
Which btw makes it all the more hilarious that they’re parading their show as a "feminist" retelling of George's work.
Please explain to me how a woman defying her husband, creating her own political faction, raising a successful coup, and seizing power is sexist writing.
Tumblr media
Look at Alicent's positioning, the men are looking to her for instruction because she's Team Green's leader. Not Otto and certainly not Aegon but Queen Dowager Alicent of House Hightower!
Please explain how a woman in an authorative role who men look to for leadership is more sexist than a feeble pushover who had no clue the men around her were planning a coup because they didn't respect her enough to keep her in the fold.
Tumblr media
Please explain how it's "feminist" to write a woman who only takes action when the men around her tell her to.
George wrote a politically minded Queen who staged a successful coup and crowned her son King, usurping her husband’s chosen heir. House of the Dragon wrote a sobbing mess who won’t say boo to a goose without some man directing her every move.

i was just talking with my wife about this over breakfast but i rly hope this whole transvestigation paranoia becomes a breaking point because it’s insane? like i hope it snaps some people out of their transmisogynystic daze bc what are you saying? where is the limit?? are you demanding any woman who looks vaguely “masculine” take a chromosome test?!
like first their credo was that “a woman must have a vagina and uterus” but that’s not enough anymore for them, now u need to be born a woman “the right way” or you’re a man. never mind that a huge argument they have used against trans women is that they were “socialized as men” (ridiculous take btw, let’s not even get there) and as such can never understand womanhood and really be a woman okay then why are u saying that even if imane was afab and raised a girl she’s still not enough of a woman?! they’re always like “misogyny is sex-based” and it doesnt matter how a woman presents bc it’s her Biology that primes her for abuse (real takes i have seen!!!) but then say that a cis woman who was assigned female at birth is not Actually a woman bc some corrupt organisation that was accused of malpractice Maybe said she might have XY chromosomes. HELLO?! like do YOU know your chromosomes? do YOU know your testosterone levels? it’s so absurd it feels like im in the twilight zone.
also can we talk about how antifeminist it is to argue that someone is just too good at a sport to be a woman. what is wrong with you. hmm i wonder why men tend to be stronger overall? is it really just their “biology”? bc actually studies have shown that parents underestimate their daughters’ strength and do stuff for them and overall dont let them play rough while little boys are expected to be stronger and tumble. which child do you think will grow up with more muscle mass. which will grow up stronger and faster. i saw some altright men and terfs argue that it is Biologically True that men are Stronger and Faster and Better than women bc “look at the football league, the men are better”. like i wonder why?? could it be that the women’s league overall gets less funding, less intense trainings, and overall there’s less athletes to choose the best from bc on average more men pursue sports than women (for social reasons) etc.????
like how are terfs out there thinking they’re feminists. when they posts a picture of a woman of color and call her too ugly to be a “real woman”. do you see how racist that is?! i also saw them transvestigate the butch-looking polish contestant (for judo iirc) like?! “her hair is short and her face looks masculine” have u ever seen a butch woman irl. you stupid ass. and what if they’re trans btw?? ultimately it does not MATTER. olympic athletes are freaks of nature. usually they’re the best at a sport because they’re literally BUILT for it. they often have a natural advantage as well as years or practice. like what even is your argument anymore?! it’s a stupid sport competition to see who’s the best at certain sports how are u gonna determine which physical/biological advantages are okay and which arent?! y’all are one step away from requesting muscle fibers exam for black people to see if they have more type 2 fibers bc that makes them more likely to be fast. put a height limit for basketball players bc being too tall is rare and therefore unfair to shorter basketball players. banning women with PCOS from competing bc they have elevated testosterone. LIKE PLEASE TELL ME WHERE THE LIMIT FOR BIOLOGICAL ADVANTAGES IS. IM WAITING.
i think the insanity of the current situation truly is the culmination of all these phrenology-adjacent trends (like mewing and the rest of the “rate me” 4chan standards, look it up), white supremacy being allowed on mainstream platforms and transphobic panic all converging into this mass hysteria. it’s genuinely fascinating from a sociological perspective but jesus christ. the fact that if imane really was trans they could have gotten her jailed or worse. WAKE UP.
terfs love to call themselves feminists yet are using racist phrenology-like standards to determine who’s a “real” woman. being hairy? big nose? strong jaw? short hair? not a real woman :). please STOP. y’all are literally one step away from saying only white women are “real women” LMAO. trans women have been saying for years that transmisogyny IS misogyny (on steroids) and it WOULD bite cis women in the ass too but y’all didnt believe them till it Actually started affecting cis women.
i am hoping this is the peak of transphobia (specifically transmisogyny) and it’s downhill from here and society progresses 🙏🏻 like let’s move ON. enough is enough

yeah i no longer feel bad for hating on v*vziep*p [X]
the part where she invalidates an agender person, says theyre a “privileged white girl who just decided to be trans,” and “if theyre so feminist then why cant they just be proud of being female” (yea cuz as we all know afab trans ppl are just ashamed of being women, terf rhetoric whats that???) was enough to lose me. idc if there are trans characters in h*lluva, thats a transphobe right there
but jesus there’s so much more in this thread. and i know some ppl may be like “lol we been knew” but i’m scared of seeking out drama bc i get miserably hyperfixated on it, so the only way i was able to see this was that someone else found it in the wild & linked it to me
as for h*zbin and h*lluva, they’re both such big projects now that they’re the joint effort of several people, plus her shitty opinions don’t shine through (yet lol), so “separate the art from the artist” is feasible in this instance, i think. hell i dont even like the shows THAT much, mostly just the potential they have, and the characters unto themselves
“separate” as in confiscate, btw. call me CPS baby, Character Protective Services. I’m kidnapping Alastor

Not trying to pick on op specifically cuz I keep seeing takes like this and this one isn’t unique but it’s been frustrating how many I’ve been seeing saying this exact thing especially due to Trump’s election.
Women HAVE been doing this. Leftists DO do this. Feminism has ALWAYS done this. I don’t understand why everyone has convinced themselves feminism is and always has been some man hating campaign that only ever talks about women and completely disregards the feelings of men because it isn’t. During the MeToo movement it was almost impossible to find a post talking about sexual assault that didn’t have a disclaimer, even when totally irrelevant, like “btw this applies to men too”. Any time men come out about abuse or neglect or their sad feelings or how toxic masculinity/patriarchy affects them negatively they always get loads of support.
What world is everyone on tumblr rn seemingly living in wherein everything MRAs say about feminism not supporting men enough is TRUE? Is your bubble so small that you’re only seeing TERF/radfem shit on tumblr and that’s informing you about the wider feminist movement completely? Even just the wider liberal movement?
It feels like all I ever see is “hey guys remember to be nice to men” like we’ve been brutalizing them. These MRAs and insecure misogynistic men are getting radicalized and doing more radicalizing against women not because they’re sad, or insecure, or because women are being too mean to them or shutting them down in conversation, or abusing them, or whatever else. Men (and I’m talking specifically about these cishet MRA types) are being radicalized because they feel entitled to more sympathy and space to speak than other people. And they’re finally experiencing situations wherein they’re getting the SAME amount of sympathy and space as everyone else.
It is not women’s jobs to interact with misogynists and baby them until they feel better so they don’t rape us or hit us or manipulative us or verbally abuse us. We’ve already been doing that for centuries. Men are finally starting to be treated like everyone by women else instead of like royalty and they’re acting like they’re being uniquely abused, ignored, or whatever else. But all I ever do and all I’ve ever done is be forced to sit and listen to men talk.
If you’re going to make a post asking for people to be nicer to men and deradicalize men and give men a space to talk about their feelings and insecurities, address that post to other men. Women are not really the ones most often in male spaces to start with and we’re not the ones that need to be forced, again, to be mens’ therapists. These men aren’t being radicalized by MRAs because they’re lonely or ignored or sad, they’re being radicalized because they feel entitled to more space than everyone else and they feel entitled to women.

I read ur tags on the video abt drake and Kendrick “not caring about women” in the middle of the rap beef and I totally agree about Kendrick btw. It reminded me of someone i saw on Tik tok who made a video defending Kendrick from the “but he didn’t want r Kelly’s music removed from streaming platforms!” thing and what it turns out it ACTUALLY was about was that Spotify was going to put up a “moral and behavior” policy where they would remove the complete discography of any artist who they found out had a criminal record, which is incredibly discriminatory against all convicted people, no matter what they’re convicted for, and infringes on their 1st amendment rights and just the very human right to make art and have that art be preserved. So it was less about “I love r kelly so much im gonna threaten to take all my music off Spotify if they remove his” and more “this policy is actually infringing on artists’ rights and discriminatory against people with a criminal record.” I’m not saying Kendrick is our feminist messiah but like cmon yall he does not hate women and he’s not just calling out drake for clout
A lot of what Kendrick gets reduced to certain narratives because their are a lot of negative things that come with hip hop, and it does do more harm than good especially in the case with “fake woke” rappers.
I don’t believe in putting celebrities on a pedestal and no person is perfect. Him putting Kodak Black on Mr. Morale did rub me the wrong way. Him dead naming some of his family members rightfully upset some people.
I can’t speak for that, so I won’t because it’s not my place, so I just listen and support those that can.
But all I can really say is, the process of growing and wanting to be better person isn’t pretty. Watching someone unlearn racism fatphobia, transphobia, and etc is never without mistakes.
If we are really advocating for people to be better on all fronts, the response is always anger when we they don’t get it right the first time or show they don’t have a full understanding of it.
What do we really want fork people? We tell them to grow and do better? But if you’ve actually walked someone through that or seen it, why are we getting so mad when they make a mistake along the way.
No it’s not our place to teach them. But if they are making a genuine effort, why not make a quick comment and move on. How does him doing these two things and “fumbling” the narrative for black growth as a man in America by including Kodak black and trying to show him stepping away from transphobia in a more problematic than not way, absolve everything he’s ever done or thinks and do thereafter?
I am not saying these thingsto be derivative. I am asking from a genuine place.
That said, it doesn’t make those things right.
I think he said some quiet parts out loud that he shouldn’t have, but at the end of the day he has to be held accountable. 🤷🏾‍♀️
I don’t think Kendrick has ever said anything in song he doesn’t fully believe. He’s very intentional, that might be the place where people are angry with him because it’s clear these things were done on purpose.
I can’t speak for him as I am just a fan. I may be biased as well, so that may be effecting how I think about this, so I try to be mindful and address that as well.
I try to be responsible and try not to deflect other peoples thoughts, feelings, and opinions on some of these things because they hurt some people and affect more people more than they ever would me and it wouldn’t be right.
But, we don’t know him and we never do, so all we can do is speculate, and some more than others like to choose the worst over any benefit of the doubt because in a man driven world when have they never not have that.
I don’t want to be an enabler to that system.

Okay, so do you remember that one scene in FMA:B where Mustang is facing off against an enemy(I don’t remember who it’s been a while), walking very confidently, about to flick his fingers to activate his fire alchemy…while it is POURING DOWN LIKE CATS AND DOGS. His alchemy wasn’t going to work in that weather and he didn’t even realize that until he got pulled away.
Anyways I feel like Warriors would do that.
and this is why i can never write a fma/b au because Wars is SO Mustang coded and he and Mask could 100% be Ed and Mustang, BUT ALSO I CAN SEE HIM AS HAVOC (jean havoc my beloved…. ough-)
god that scene is so Wars coded tho lmao, he was so ready to kick ass and then hawkeye had to yell at him to save his life and I can absolutely see that happening to Wars 😭 i love him dearly but he’s definitely a Tad Bit overconfident.
Also!! Fun Fact!!! The reason I headcanon Wars as having so many sisters was inspired by Mustang because Wars and Mustang had such similar vibes to me and Mustang has a lot of ‘sisters’. Also Wars just has the energy that he was raised by a lot of women and I’ll stand by that. Mustang (biblically accurate Manga Mustang and Brotherhood Mustang) weaponizes his sexuality and has everyone CONVINCED he’s a womanizer when in fact all those women he meets up with are like his adoptive sisters who are fucking spies and no one ever suspects that because they think he’s some idiot who’s just sleeping around. And I think Wars is similar because I believe he’d let people think he’s an idiot flirt and nothing more than a pretty smile because if people think less of him and think he’s just an idiot they will be so underprepared when he comes swinging with a battle plan so intelligent it’s jaw dropping. I think both of them were taught to use their good looks to their advantage by women in their lives they have nothing but respect for, and it’s working out great for them because they get underestimated or what they’re ACTUALLY doing gets completely covered up by everyone going “oh hes just going to bars and hitting on people”
They’re both asexual feminists to me btw, both of them are for the girls and the gays

so I don’t have a whole to say about turnabout storyteller other than it was a super fun romp. the interactions between recurring characters were great. getting to see how blackquill and athena’s dynamic has evolved post dual destinies was wonderful - I love how supportive of each other they are despite bickering non stop. it’s a great evolution that feels like the natural outcome when combining the child and caregiver dynamic they had when athena was a kid and the antagonistic dynamic they had when they re-met.
also simon and nahyuta’s back and fourths were a riot. like what makes it so funny is that they’re honestly pretty similar to each other in quite a few ways but because they’re on opposite sides they hate each other. but then you also get those moments where nahyuta will do something and simon will be like “yeah. I would’ve done the same thing… he’s not bad-” like I must say I am a blackmadhi shipper through and through.
the case specific characters were great too! love uendo and all of their alters, they were fun. geiru is also a pretty fun villain with a surprisingly sympathetic twist right at the end. it’s wild to think the whole internet was obsessed with her for like a week 2 years ago lmao like her character design is cute n all but it’s not something I would’ve thought would inspire all that, y’know. the gag of her breakdown is… admittedly not the most feminist thing in the world but honestly I’d be lying if I didn’t find it kinda funny and iconic. her tits were GONE.
tbh the only character that didn’t really make an impression on me was bucky whet himself which… honestly for a one day trial only case I think is okay. not every case has to be the defendant’s story.
but yeah! really enjoyed myself with this one!! it’s a fun little side-story before going into turnabout revolution (which I’m super excited for btw!)

I do not think media about female sports teams trying to overly feminise and heterosexualise (two different things, ofc) their casts is a good look btw. it’s actively censoring our reality, especially for stories that try and go for some semblance of realism. but I’d also be lying if I thought those decisions were a feminist act of trying to show how a female-focused society could be, in which all kinds of women would be attracted to it, including straight ones etc. but it is true that kind of alternate reality storytelling does have its place within feminist history and spaces, so there’s that too. a big give away in this case though is that feminists would be much less likely to feminise those women just because they’re heterosexual, because we’re talking a society with limited heteronormative gender norms, so ‘masculine’ or otherwise ‘neutral’ straight women would be a more frequent sight. for feminists adding more lesbians isn’t masculinising and adding more straight women isn’t feminising, because we are critical of these ideas and their basis. for the mainstream though? absolutely not the case, and that is why we might tend to see these discussions crop up that equate sexual orientation inherently to masculinity/femininity.
