Oh, yeah... for Daemon, Rhaenyra was the epitome of Targaryen perfection, the best he could ever had.

He literally revered her. (...and she revered him)

We have never seen him/heard of him openly worshipping anyone the way he did Rhaenyra. The man sang praises to her every chance he got, declaring her to be the fairest maiden of them all. He never declared anyone else the fairest one...

She was the woman Daemon got pregnant either even before Laena's death or right after because it was the very same year Rhaenyra gave birth to Daemon's first son.

Rhaenyra was the ONLY woman Daemon married in the old valyrian blood-magic soul-binding ritual in the tradition of their house, going against all social conventions, against the crown and general appearances...

Rhaenyra was the one he crowned, served, killed for and fought war for. The one he ultimately willingly died for...

What I need is Arthur hugging and kissing Merlin like Merlin will be folding laundry and Arthur just comes up from behind and hugs him. Merlin of course is wondering if Arthur is enchanted more so when he feels lips on the back of his neck—which is sensitive—that he lets out a tiny moan causing both of them to freeze before Arthur starts leaving more kisses on Merlin's nape, his fingers now underneath Merlin's tunic rubbing the slim tummy of his friend.

Merlin is straight up blushing and moaning whilst Arthur is enjoying the sounds he makes that the King decides he wants to do this everyday. So he does.

Merlin is in a constant state of bewilderment and arousal whenever it happens because Arthur has become shameless and enamoured everytime he kisses and embraces Merlin. He doesn't even hide it anymore he'll just grab merlin by the waist, plop the lad on his lap—whilst on the throne—and leave hickeys all over Merlin's neck.

idk what it is but canon couples are always slightly less appealing to me than the ones that aren’t explicity canon. it’s something about picking two characters because you love their dynamic and rooting for them even though you know it probably won’t happen.
