Over the years, the memories became blurry, confusing and jumbled. It was difficult to remember what his childhood was like, who he fought alongside in each war, who he hated, who he had and hadn't met etc.

If Logan did live longer than Wade, as in five hundred plus more, his memories still continued to fog up. He desperately tried to remember his face, his hands, his waist, his suit, the times they spent together but everything just kept distancing itself into the fog and wind.

He knew he missed that person but he just couldn't remember who they were to him. They were close, it felt like they were friends - with benefits? No, that had to be wrong. Were they dating? Did he have a family with them? Did they break up? He couldn't remember ever breaking up but then again, he couldn't remember a lot of things.

All he wished was to see his face again, that smile, those eyes, that waist, his hands, his suit. That's all he wanted. But that wasn't going to happen, was it?

He vaguely remembered them dying but then again that could just be the break up. Was it worth trying to find a way to kill himself just to see them again? It definitely was. The man would regret everything if he was wrong and it was just a breakup.

Maybe he could go hunting for him? What was he thinking? They weren't immortal, he'd be dead by now.

He couldn't picture their face when they were old. Was there someone like him? Immortal? Did they find a way to die? Did they just leave him alone, by himself, to go on with his own immortal life?

He probably wasn't going to find him, there's so many people on Earth. It'd be impossible. There wasn't any point in trying. So he didn't. He just let those memories fade away because it was too painful knowing he could never find the one he was sure he loved.

i’ve always taken “show me you care about something bigger than you” as vanessa trying to get wade to do things that matter outside of his need for external validation. he tells happy he wants to be an avenger because he needs it, because he needs a reason to matter. at that point in his life, he was looking for big gestures or flashy ways to show those around him that he was important, that he had a place in the world outside of his usual brand of violence. he wasn’t necessarily thinking about doing things for the sake of others.

and then he goes to sacrifice himself at the time ripper for the sole reason to save his family. he doesn’t care about what it means for him, if it’ll finally make him matter, he just wants to do whatever he can to keep his family and logan safe. saving his family might not change the world, or be an issue that affects thousands, but it is bigger than wade. he saves them because they need it, bc their lives are far more important than wade’s own need to matter.

ohhh this makes sense!! but then it kinda doesn't line up with everything else if you see his progression throughout all the movies—not saying that your explanation is wrong because honestly it's probably right LMAO (at least more right than whatever i was spouting in that post, but then again wade probably hadn't even understood what she was trying to say hence why he tried all those things) but more so the writers' fault in terms of not caring about continuity. this just feels like a repetition of deadpool 2 where vanessa said wade's heart wasn't in the right place, and then he proved that it was by sacrificing himself for russell

also another thing that didn't make sense to me was that vanessa broke up with wade because he never got back up when the avengers rejected him. but he only went to the avengers because he wanted to show vanessa that he mattered, which seemed like a point she only brought up during the breakup—and also something she didn't seem to have a problem with before. it would make sense if she raised the issue before which then led to him going to the avengers, but i don't think that's what happened??? who the hell knows though since they didn't show us shit

the breakup scene as a whole is just very underdeveloped lmao and i guess they just wanted to get to the whole wade and logan thing but i wish they focused more on this

What’s Peter’s favorite position and why?

i stand by it, peter's favourite position is absolutely some as-of-yet undiscovered display of all his powers. in fact, this ask prompted another of 7000 wips that i'll get around to eventually

i think ceiling sex would tickle peter's physics brain so delightfully. he needs to use his super-strength and super stickiness and oodles of uncanny balance to keep wade in place, and i think he'd just delight in the challenge of it all.

i think some of peter's favourite moments with wade are the "can i do that?? oh my god i can do that." moments.

i feel bad for peter sometimes because he has a non-functioning gaydar and thats led to so many people assuming he's homophobic, but also i wonder if peter ever even really considered that people could be gay... like he's aware gay people exist but like. he was raised in such a hetero environment and masked his own bi-ness so hard that like. he failed to even remember people could be gay/queer. am i making sense i feel crazy for saying it but like did peter even remember gayness outside of his (1) experience with harry and he backed off and was like "wow that was a crazy experience i bet no one has ever had that before. anyway going to go lie down forever now"

it's actually really interesting that you bring this up!! because i was thinking about wade and peter's differing worldviews the other day (as usual) and how they're always, always at polar opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to how they perceive things

peter kind of always assumes he's alone in his experiences. that he's weird. he's a freak. there's nobody out there experiencing the same thing he is. he is totally alone. he is the only one having these thoughts, and everyone else must be normal and so he has to try to be normal.

and while peter assumes he's the weird one - wade is in the opposite camp. he projects all over everyone. he likes to think people are like him, they're just hiding it. and that's what makes him latch onto certain people.

it's why wade's gaydar is so hyper-active. he's so, so eager to project his own experiences onto other people.

and sometimes, it misfires. again. because he's projecting.

we're going to get into all the issues that come with wade projecting all over peter, but tl;dr, wade sniffs out people who are like him. while peter - peter always believes he's alone, and there's no one like him. thinks nobody'll understand. not even the people closest to him.
