Thank you for the ask! Sorry it took me so long to answer, I had family in town and it was exhausting. I'm going to pick Elizabeth and Nathanael since they don't get a lot of screen time but are one of my favorite couples.

They were an arranged marriage. Nathanael knew about it but Elizabeth did not. They fell in love and it wasn't until after he proposed that he told her the truth. She was mad at first but forgave him in the end.

The biggest disagreement/fight they ever had was about how many kids they'd have. Nathanael wanted a big family and Elizabeth only wanted as few as needed to have an heir. It's partly why there's a large age gap between Eleanor and Wyatt. Elizabeth loves Wyatt but it took a lot of convincing for her to agree to another child.

They have a "no secrets" relationship. There is nothing that they don't tell each other.

Their marriage caused quite a stir when it was announced to the public. Nathanael was the first foreign royal to marry the heir since Queen Amelia married King Edaric in 1785. He was also the first male consort to come from a foreign royal family.

They have a rule that they don't go to bed angry and if they always say "I love you" to one another before they go to bed. Even when they are apart, they call or facetime right before bed.

So I have a big conspiracy theory about season 13 of Doctor Who ("Flux"), namely that there's a lost episode was scripted and even possibly filmed in near entirety, but ended up being cut and cannibalized in post production due to behind the scenes issues, and the fandom has yet to pick up on it.

For anyone who doesn't watch the show: Flux is a miniseries of Doctor Who; a full season was not commissioned because it was produced during Covid. The most important stuff about it for the purposes of this post are:

It's 6 episodes long (¹). The episodes are all directly continuous and could not be shuffled around. (I should clarify here that, no, the showrunner can't simply choose on a whim to make 10 episodes, or only make 4; they had to stick to 6, as that was the amount they were picked up and scheduled for)

The showrunner, Chris Chibnall , wrote every episode apart from episode 4 (Village of the Angels) which he has a co-writing credit on.

(More subjectively but perhaps relevant) The season is largely considered to be kind of a structural mess and (less subjectively) there appears to some abnormal and consistent production issues (²)

So the first thing I need to evidence here is that Chris Chibnall, aforementioned showrunner and writer of the entire season, was late. Like, really late.

Word of mouth gossip had been circulating for a while that there was some sort of on-set problem involving filming having to be paused because he was still finishing scripts: (³)

This would later be confirmed at a Gallifrey One panel (⁴) with Matt Strevens, the executive producer, who suggests that filming stopped to allow Chris Chibnall to finish scripts; he further implies that large swathes of episode 5/Block 2 weren't written until Episode 4/Block 1 (in which Kevin McNally debuts) was filming:

So with that context, let's talk about that Episode 4, "Village of the Angels", the only episode not attributed solely to Chris Chibnall. Co written by Maxine Alderton.

The filming pics reveal an interesting bit of trivia for Village: namely, the clapperboards show that the story was actually filmed as episode 5, not 4:

As the above tweet suggests, this doesn't make much sense. The miniseries is, again, a single continuous plot. It's not like they flipped Village and the current episode 5, Survivors of the Flux; the latter explicitly takes place chronologically after it. And yet, Village having been intended as the penultimate episode 5 is further evidenced by the original trailer for it, in which a character states that the story takes place on the 28th of November. This line is dubbed over in the final episode and subsequent trailers to instead say the 21st:

Why is this line important enough to dub? Because that's meant to line up with the air date of the episode. Episode 4 aired on the 21st and 5 on the 28th. But something happened in post production, and now it's episode 4 on the 21st instead (⁵):

So if none of these episodes were moved around but it does seem like Village was meant to be episode 5, where and what is the original episode 4?

I have a theory.

Flux has a recurring subplot involving two side characters, a married couple (Bel and Vinder) who have been separated by the titular disaster and are traveling the universe to reunite with each other. This story is told through segments sprinkled throughout the episodes. These have a different writing style (including a diary-esque narration only present in these scenes) and an internally consistent visual style that looks somewhat different to the other parts of the season.

Village of the Angels, for instance, is a moody, dark episode set in a village in the 1960s:

However, Bel and Vinder's segments in the episode have a somewhat different look:

On top of this, they never intersect with the episode's A plot (literally or in any clear thematic way), and the majority of these segments piece together into one single scene that seems to have been cut up.

So, what I think is that the bel and vinder scenes across the middle of the season were originally a single full story, an episode 4 that took a breather from the main plot and characters to follow the lives of these two side characters; the differing visual and writing style is due to it originally having been filmed separately and with a somewhat different artistic intent. I believe Chris Chibnall's cowriting credit on Angels exists because these specific scenes are from a script he wrote, but that otherwise the Angel script can be credited solely to Maxine Alderton by normal cowriting standards.

"But wait," you might say, "I thought there were already 6 episodes that are all plot relevant? If no episodes existing right now can be cut, how could this 7th episode exist?"

Remember this tidbit:

The adventures in question comprise a large amount of the next episode (Episode 5: Survivors of the Flux), nearly 20 minutes of a 50ish minute runtime (and frankly, much of the rest of the episode is somewhat fluffy build up that feels like it's taking advantage of an extended runtime). A version without this added plot would, in my opinion, only warrant one final episode rather than two.

I think the showrunner, still scrambling to finish scripts as the episodes were being filmed, and making a snap decision to include a new major subplot (⁶), wrote a finale script so long and with so many plot threads that the only way to keep all this material of was to split it into two episodes, 5 and 6. And because they only could only make 6, he had to get rid of one of the previous 5 episodes - the already scripted and filmed ones - to make room for this new episode 5. A tough order when it's a plot-heavy miniseries... if not for episode 4 being a standalone divergence from the main plot about the lives of two side characters, one that could, in theory, be cut up and dispersed throughout the season without continuity issues for the main story.

(Some notes and clarifications under the cut)

(1) some sources initially reported the episode count as 8; this wasn't inaccurate - the 2022 new years/easter special were part of the episode order. Flux itself was always meant to be 6 episodes long. (2) A few of the production issues include: - episodes filming without a second draft:

- the fx team that had been on the show since 2005 abruptly leaving midseason (because they "didn't feel like part of the team anymore") and returning as soon as the creative team changed, including the head of the studio implying they weren't properly credited (mild vfx body horror warning in link):

- people working on additional projects such as books not receiving clear information on the characters they were assigned to write:

- and likely a director who was put on hold due to a script being rewritten:

Among other things I can't directly cite at the moment, including vfx artists having to do whole episodes solo in crunch time and writers not being told their work was massively overhauled until it aired due to major changes being extremely late in production.

While I don't wish to pontificate too much here and many of these things are pretty normal by themselves, I do think it could paint a picture of a production where an episode well into filming may genuinely be cut on a whim and without consideration for the crew, artists, etc. working on the show. (3) This reddit post comes from a leaker who was known to be consistently accurate. (4) Gallifrey One does not allow filming of panels. I know Kevin's livetweets of panels to be accurate. (5) It's very, very unlikely the entire season was moved back a week, as the premier is a Halloween special that was certainly always intended to air on Oct. 31st. (6) I don't wish to insinuate Chris Chibnall is, throughout his career, an inherently poor showrunner, but I do think that maybe his jump from police procedural - a genre that doesn't involve quite as much concept art, vfx work, marketing, convention panels, set building, episodic storytelling, and keeping in touch with expanded universe producers - to flagship science fiction adventure show may have contributed to some of these issues, especially when he was already in the mindset that things could be changed on a whim (perhaps not such a major issue when it's broadchurch and no new sets need be built)

To the Nonnie who asked me about the Druze and Bedouins in Israel, here's a recounting of the history of these two communities here.

The Druze in Israel

The Druze are members of an ethno-religion that split from Shiite-Isma'ili Islam in the 11th century in Egypt. For a while, people could join the Druze faith, but then that period was over, and since then, you can't convert to become a Druze. In order to maintain their ethno-religious group, they're not supposed to marry non-Druze. Most of the Druze originate and live in Syria, with small numbers in southern Lebanon and in northern Israel.

Most of the Druze who came to live in Israel, did so in the 16th and 17th centuries, when the Ma'an Druze rulers of Lebanon rebelled against the Ottoman (Turkish) Empire, and occupied northern Israel. Along the years, the Druze repeatedly attacked and stole from Israel's Jews. In the northern city of Safed, for example (one of the four holy Jewish cities, considered holy for ALWAYS having had Jewish presence, no matter what happened to Jews in Israel), notable Druze attacks against Jews happened in 1567, 1604, 1628, 1656 and 1838.

When did this change, and the relationship between the Jewish and Druze residents of the Land of Israel become better? Well, in 1936-1939, as Muslim Arabs in Israel (inspired by their antisemitic leader Haj Amin al-Husseini) attacked the Jews and the British in what came to be known as "The Arab Revolt," they also attacked the Druze, who intended to remain neutral in the fight between the Arabs and Jews. There were some Druze who did join Arab forces attacking Jews. Probably the most prominent Arab militia the Druze joined was the one led by Yussuf Abu Durra. This man used the opportunity of the revolt to attack Arab and Druze villages, and the latter target made his Druze fighters abandon him, and even start fighting against his militia.

These Arab attacks on the Druze pushed both them and the Jews to forge an actual alliance. Here's the example of the Druze village of Isfiya. It's built on the ruins of an ancient Jewish village, and the name Isfiya is a mispronunciation of the village's original Hebrew name, Husifa. How do we know this original name? Archeological digs in there revealed an ancient Jewish synagogue, with this mosaic, which includes the Hebrew words "Shalom al Yisrael" (peace upon Israel), as well as the name "Husifa":

During The Arab Revolt, the village's leaders turned to the adjacent kibbutz Yagur. A Jewish underground movement called Hagana (Hebrew for 'defense,' because it was established 1920 to defend Israel's Jews from Arab attacks) had a group of fighters there, to defend the kibbutz. The Druze asked for the help of the Jews in defending their village from Arab attacks, and the Jews of Yagur agreed. They started collaborating, among other things the Druze provided the Jews with intel, and the Jews provided the Druze with weapons and ammunition. Isfiya's village council ended up incorporating the Jewish synagogue's mosaic into their emblem (this pic is from their Facebook page):

By the end of the revolt in 1939, most of the Druze were on the Jewish side, even if they weren't actively fighting. This opened the path for the same alliance to play a significant role in Israel's War of Independence from Nov 1947 to Jul 1949. There was one Druze unit that fought under Fawzi al-Qawuqji, an Arab commander from Lebanon, who led a militia in Israel during The Arab Revolt, collaborated with the Nazis during WWII, and then led the Arab Liberation Army during Israel's War of Independence War. BTW, this was the antisemitic emblem of the ALA:

Fawzi al-Qawuqji sent his Druze unit to attack the Jews at the Ramat Yochanan battle, on Apr 16, 1948 (meaning, this is during the first stage of the war, when most Arab armies had not yet invaded the Land of Israel. That starts in May 1948). The Druze were defeated, and after that, all of the Druze in Israel were on the Jewish side.

So the answer to what forged the alliance between the Jewish and Druze residents of Israel, is a combination of the Muslim Arabs' violence at the time, and the fact that Jews were no longer a defenseless minority, but got to defend themselves by fighting back. NEVER underestimate the importance of the right to self defense, and the truth is that the only place in the world where Jewish people have this right as Jews is the State of Israel.

When the State of Israel was established, there were 14,500 Druze living here. Today, they number about 150,000 and make up roughly 1.5% of the Israeli population. Back in 1949, Druze service in the Israeli army was strictly voluntary. At the request of Druze leaders in Israel, this was changed in 1956, but the service is mandatory for just the men (while for Israeli Jews, it's mandatory for both men and woman, and for Arabs and Bedouins, it's still voluntary). They're recognized as the most loyal and contributing non-Jewish minority in Israel, and many Druze have reached some of the highest positions of power here.

The Bedouins in Israel

The Bedouins are nomadic tribes, originally native to Arabia (and in fact, while non-nomadic Arabs refer to them as Bedouins, from the Arabic word for 'desert,' they refer to themselves as Arabs, sometimes even as the "real Arabs"). Over the centuries, their routes have continuously expanded, taking them from the deserts of Arabia, through Israel, Jordan and Syria, to northern Africa. A part of what they would often do for a living is connected with herding and commerce, another part is attacking local communities along their wandering routes for loot. Most Bedouins had converted to Islam, and the Islamic conquests coming out of Arabia in the 7th century, taking over the rest of the Middle East, have helped in that expansion of their wandering routes.

In the 19th century, the Ottoman Empire (the Turks) wanted the Bedouins to be more settled, so they would be easier to govern. At the same time, the Ottomans wanted to artificially increase the Muslim population in Israel. So under them, in addition to European converts to Islam (mostly Bosnians and Albanians) settling in Israel, the Ottomans also forced many Bedouins to abandon their nomadic lifestyle and settle in Israel, mostly in the south, in the Negev desert. Some Bedouins completely settled, while some opted for a semi-nomadic life (meaning they still move from where they're staying at least twice a year, but it's not constant wandering, and they move between designated spots, over a relatively small distance).

The exact number of Bedouins in Israel before the establishment of the state is unknown due to the semi-nomadic lifestyle some of them still went by, but estimates are around 110,000 people. During the Independence War, most of the Negev Bedouins fled to Gaza (which came to be occupied by Egypt until 1967). After the state was founded, some returned to Israel. The state established seven villages and a city for them, the only Bedouin city in the world, Rahat (and the biggest Arab city in Israel). Today, the Bedouins in Israel number over 300,000 people in the Negev, about 110,000 people in towns and villages in northern Israel, and over 32,000 living in other cities across the country. They are about 3.5% of Israel's population.

The Bedouins have a more complex relationship with the State of Israel, due to several issues. The state has been seeking solutions for these problems, with varying degrees of success.

One issue is land ownership. You'd think it wouldn't be, with many still being semi-nomadic, but a part of the problem is that more than once, they will simply decide that if they've wandered to a certain spot enough times, it's theirs. In certain cases, these spots are in military zones, which means they're endangering themselves and soldiers by settling there even part time, and the state repeatedly has to evacuate them from those places, including for their own safety. More than once, anti-Israelis will talk about Israel destroying an ancient Palestinian village, and in reality it's a recent Bedouin settlement, where there's no proper infrastructure for them, including for their kids (no water lines, no electricity), and it's in the middle of a dangerous fire zone.

Another issue is polygamy, which is customary among Bedouins, but legally forbidden in the State of Israel. So again, it creates friction between men who want to marry multiple wives, and the authorities.

One more thing is that the traditionally nomadic lifestyle of the Bedouins means they've never really had a history of belonging to specific states, and feeling it's a part of their identity. So they don't feel too obligated to the state and its rule. One example is that they run their own courts. The Ottomans tried to dismantle those, and force the Bedouins to adhere to a Sharia court that they opened in 1906, but when the British took over Israel in 1917 they dismantled it, and allowed the Bedouins to have their courts, out of a colonialist perception that they're too savage to be able to accept western laws. So the Bedouins to this day have issues accepting the authority of the state's courts.

Having said all this, there are also Bedouins who are very loyal to Israel, feeling like the state has drastically improved their life in comparison with how they were treated before (under the British, and before them the Ottomans), or that they have better living conditions than they would have had without the state. Here's one Israeli Bedouin woman, Sophia Khalifa Shramko, speaking about how Israel has bettered their lives:

Also, while most of the Negev Bedouins fled during Israel's War of Independence, there were a few Bedouins from the northern part that fought for the state, and to this day, the northern Bedouins are known as the more loyal faction from among Israeli Bedouins. The state built several permanent settlements for the northern Bedouins, and today they live across 24 communities.

As I mentioned, army service is voluntary for the Bedouins. Over time, it went from a very small number who did serve in Israel's War of Independence, through a big decline in the 1980's, but then since 2002 there's been a small, but steady rise in the number of Bedouins choosing to enlist. In 2003, the first Bedouin woman insisted on serving (she had to fight many in her own society who objected to this, mostly for religious reasons), she succeeded, and opened the path for other Bedouin women to serve as well. There's no official or expert explanation offered for this, but you want my guess? In 2001, Hamas started firing rockets at Israel, and the most targeted are was the Negev, so as Palestinian terrorists made it clear they have no qualms about killing Bedouins simply for being citizens of the Jewish state, my guess is more Bedouins who didn't identify with the state protecting them from Hamas, started to. I think following the Oct 7 massacre, in which at least 19 Bedouins were murdered by Hamas, at least 6 were kidnapped, and dozens are still considered missing, the Bedouins' identification with Israel is at an all time high. We've seen collaborations of Jews helping Bedouins, and Bedouins helping Jews, reaching an unprecedented peak.

Before the Oct 7 attack, the overall number of Bedouins serving was still rather low. In 2021, it was a total of 1,500 people. All the same, Israel has built a special commemoration site for the Bedouin soldiers, including several monuments. Here's one (you can see the Arabic writing at the top if you click the pic):

Israel as the Jewish nation state

The State of Israel is the Jewish nation state. That's not different to other nation states. But I want to emphasize, being a Jewish state, doesn't mean it's a Jew only state. It never was, it was never meant to be, it never will be.

Yes, on the national level, it has Jewish characteristics. The official language is Hebrew, the state calendar follows the Hebrew one, it has Jewish symbols in the flag and state emblem. And Israel also has a law of return for Jews, so they would never have to fear persecution elsewhere ever again. It allowed the saving of Jews from Syria when the civil war started there in 2011, or more recently the war in Ukraine, it allowed Israel to support Jews fleeing rising antisemitism in places like France in the last few decades, and it allows Jews one place where they don't have to constantly adjust themselves to the dominant non-Jewish culture, where they don't have to live by a Christian or Muslim or Buddhist calendar, where they can speak, and consume culture, and create it in their own native language, where they don't have to consider whether they can find a synagogue or kosher food before they move to a certain town, where they get to walk down the same paths their ancestors did thousands of years ago, where they will never be told that Jewish boys wearing a kippah to school is prohibited, and so on.

Every single one of these elements can be found in at least one other country out there, and very much so in nation states. Britain is quite clearly a Christian country when the head of the state is also the head of the church, so is the US when Christmas is a national holiday, but Yom Kippur isn't. Germany is the nation state of the Germans, its language is German (not Turkish, as much as there is a big Turkish community there), the Bundestag, the German parliament building, has a writing dedicating it to "Dem Deutsche Volk" (the German people), and it has a law of return for people of German descent, returning from eastern European countries. In this sense, nothing about Israel as the Jewish nation state is out of the ordinary.

Israel can and should do everything in its power to make life here good for the non-Jewish communities. By law, they have the same civil rights as the Jews. At the same time, these communities actually have less obligations when it comes to army service. Are things perfect? No, and Israel should continue to work on it, always. Just like every country should continuously strive to be better for its minorities. But if the Jewish character of the State of Israel troubles you, ask yourself why are the Jews the only ones not allowed to have a nation state of their own? One place upon the earth, where they're not the minority, in case being a minority elsewhere is something that's become too difficult or too dangerous? Or if they simply want to go back to their roots, to their people and to their ancestral land?

She is the Number Eight because she did not join the Umbrella Academy with the others. Her mother hid her unusual birth for four years, and only after her death she was found and adopted by Reginald Hargreeves. Her powers, however, did not seem to be the most useful in battle (because they were limited to basic physical alterations at the time) and she also had no interest in improving her performance.

Because of that, she was good friends with Klaus and Ben because they found themselves in similar crisis situations and ended up not getting along at all with Luther, who valued the Umbrella Academy so much. With Klaus and Ben, she had a simple, calm relationship, a point of peace where she supported them in their traumas that were worse than hers, when they weren't fighting over nonsense. Without having a megalomaniacally heroic side, she also sometimes aroused Diego's anger, but nothing long-lasting, since the boy had a soft spot for her being kind, helping and understanding him - despite not really prioritizing him.

In the beginning, she even had a very competitive phase against Allison, which, without Izabela's much interest in the action, extended to the academic part and the female presence in the house. As they grew up, however, with both of them interested in the performing arts, they ended up getting closer and helping each other, becoming known together. While Allison guided her career with manipulation, Izabela guided hers with her appearance, developing a strong image complex and obsession with youth. She was the only sibling she kept in frequent contact with after leaving home.

Her closest brother, however, had always been Five: they were confidants and transparent with each other, as if they found refuge whenever they were together. It was only with each other that they confessed their insecurities, cried and told their fears. Knowing how different Five was with the others, Izabela used to feel very jealous of Viktor - whom she liked a lot compared to some other siblings, trying to defend him and creating a good and interesting alliance when they talked alone, but unable to help but develop a problematic complex in her own head when she notices them together. She was in love with Five and despite her unspoken relationship with him, she knew that Viktor also had one that was going down a similar path, although less intimate and completely different.

𝐒𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐘 𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐄: I spent SO much time on Pinterest searching for a good shape for Izabela. There were a lot of cute girls there but none were giving me the right vibe.

Then, a Isabelle Drummond pic appeared for me and, even if she wasn't the perfect one yet, with her straight hair, i noticed what I was missing: the Brazilian 00s actress vibe.

For the ones who don't know her, she's a HUGE superstar in Brazil, it feels almost like choosing Zendaya for a fancast. But I can't help, she's the perfect Izabela.

Like many, I would love for this to turn out to be a pr stunt; however, I find it difficult to believe that would be the case with so many major entertainment outlets picking up the story even if they are attributing to Page Six. It seems like they would not report unless they were confident further confirmation was forthcoming. So far, TMZ is the only outlet questioning the reports.

As for the venue discrepancy, I believe the Daily Mail was the second one to report the story, and they were the first to allude to the wedding taking place on Cape Cod. Remember a few months ago they reported a summer wedding would take place with the Cape listed as a possible destination. I think whoever wrote yesterday's story pulled the location from the previous story instead of copying it from Page Six. Even though People and other outlets cited Page Six, it is clear they took the Cape location from Daily Mail. It is unlikely a wedding took place on the Cape given CE was seen in Concord on Saturday morning, and his friend Brian had posted from CE's Concord home early Saturday afternoon and again on Sunday morning; the Cape is ~2 hr drive from Concord so it would have been a time crunch to get down there and ready for an evening wedding. Not to mention the celebrity guests appeared to be staying in Boston.

Imo I think this latest development is tough to swallow because everyone tended to apply her own lens to the situation instead of looking at things from both sides and considering the people involved manipulated information. People have been equating real relationship and marriage with love; I personally believe love should be involved in a real, healthy rs and for marriage, but many people marry for other reasons. Others continue to say things like "they hardly were ever together" or "people weren't there". Everyone involved in the mess (Chris, Alba, Tara, Chelsea, Justin) showed us what they wanted to us to see. We were not with them 24/7. We have no idea what was going on behind the scenes. For example, we have no idea exactly when CE & AB started talking; we believe we know because we go by follows and assume she was exclusive with LB, but we have no idea if what we saw was accurate. Another example is we know JA purposely kept CE out of the NYE 2.0 photos, but know CE was there based on the VD dump. For me, I grew uneasy the more people celebrated JA's supposed outing of AB not being engaged by posting a pic of her not wearing a ring; based upon his past behavior, I thought it was too convenient that he would "confirm" the ring question for us like that. Every stop of the way the crew clearly fed info that could play into both sides to keep everyone guessing.

I have seen people on various pr blogs over the past day question about why was there never any sightings of the CE & AB. I know of at least four sightings that were reported to these blogs. The issue was that there were no pics to go along due to various reasons (e.g. driving, seeing them unexpectedly not in a stationary situation). Understandably, the information was disregarded; however, it is inaccurate to say sightings never occurred. The people who reported were polite and never said that they thought these sightings indicated real relationship. For all anyone knows, AB could have been around to film pr content. Yet, people simply chose to ignore the information and attack (not politely question) the people who brought forth the info; therefore, it discouraged people from bringing forth further info including pics.

To wrap up, the most disappointing and frustrating aspect about the past year for me is that CE straight faced told the public during the SMA interview how much he HATES manipulation; yet, that's exactly what he, his now (alleged) wife and her cronies did for this past year. It's also disappointing that what he said he wanted in a partner was not what it appears he ended up with, but things change and that is easier to accept imo. It's the fact that he specifically discussed his hatred of manipulation when he clearly knew that was what he was about to do to fans as of a few days later and for the long haul.

You're so right about her being everything he's said he doesn't want. I feel like in this situation, everybody is manipulating everybody (including us, fans), and that's one of the reasons why this whole thing is so unhealthy and toxic.

I still stand by my take on sightings. I don't believe them unless there is proof; I don't care how people word it. Just because someone nice says they saw somebody somewhere (like how people said he was also in Bermuda, and surprise surprise he wasn't), it won't make it real. Until I don't see an actual photo of someone being somewhere, it doesn't happen for me.

I don't really understand why it was good for them that people were guessing about them and their relationship, especially since most people don't like them being together. But I agree that Justin's behavior maybe should've been more alarming, but I think most of us thought that this whole thing might be over and he'd just had enough of people attacking him and her, but we were wrong.

I also stand by my view that this is not a healthy relationship; it never was and never will be. Too often, people who love each other don't behave or act the way they should. Almost everything that has happened since Alba came into his life is out of character for him, and yeah, I know we don't know him, but I think his words somewhat matched his actions up until Alba.

I basically gave the gist of how Lila @lilacura and I got married in the first goon central story, but sienna wants the details,so the details she will get. 😌

So it all started when Lila and I were planning my trip to her country cause we both love planning things for fun. We yapped about things we would do, where i would stay, how long i should stay, when i should come over, how she would buy me a plane ticket (sugar mommy fr) etc. THENNNN WE GOT OFF TOPIC AND STARTED talking about our birthdays, THEN we talked about our horoscopes and how she's a fire sign and I'm an air sign, so I told her that we are compatible because fire needs air to live.😎 (HAHAHA)

The she was like "STOPPPP WE'RE SOULMATES🤭" and i was like "YESSSS ATP PROPOSE TO MEEEE🤪" I was kidding during that time... but then Lila was like 🤨"who said u weren't already my wife?" in my mind i was like oh?(EHEHEH) I looked at my finger and replied to her "wheres the ring??? i see none" 🤨🤔

Hi!!! I keep re reading your pics of the superhero au and I wanted to know more stuff if your okay with it. Could we get more about Joel's powers? It seems he was pretty strong back in his hay day, but what was he capable of that made them force him into retirement so early?

For anyone who sees this and is unfamiliar, V's referencing my "Even Ice Walls Fall Down" fic! (And subsequent one-shots filling out the universe a little)

So, Joel/Lore!

He is one of the strongest superpowered people to have ever popped up in the city. Tango/Deepfrost is, like, literally an extremely close second (if not tied, but since their powers are so different, the ranking is subjective).

Joel has three powers, which is part of what makes him so powerful. 1) He can fly (Superman style) 2) He can shoot lightning from his hands 3) He's invulnerable to, like, almost everything

Joel's invulnerability comes with the side effects of insanely high stamina and strength, considering he can't injure himself by overdoing it

He manifested when he was 19 and as of the time of the main AU, he's 31, so he's had his powers for... 12 years (did I math that right? i think so. it's late) and in that time, the only time he feels pain is when Jimmy's super strength overpowers his invulnerability's limit. It does have a limit. All of their powers have limits (except maybe Grian's... but Grian is a god pretending to be a mortal, not an actual superpowered human so he doesn't count). Because, yeah, Jimmy really is that strong

Now, because Joel manifested his powers at 19, he couldn't get hurt while he was a reckless 20-something. So he was extra reckless, especially when it came to being Lore. The division as we know it in the AU was nowhere near as structured as it is by the time Jimmy gets there, and no one was really regulating the superheroes. There weren't many of them, and they had no handler or supervisor or person trying to make sure they all behave

And Joel's invulnerability made him... destructive. Not always through his own actions

Because, see, when Joel was first starting out, Doc was still in the city. He had not yet left and taken over a country and established a Perimeter around it. And Doc had a lot of beef with Joel. Partially because Joel was an arrogant early-20's idiot (affectionate) and Doc wanted to knock him down a couple pegs (and Joel definitely egged him on and mocked with little singsong "You can't get me!" type childish taunts)

Doc also really wanted to see what the limit of Joel's invulnerability was, and so he kept making bigger and stronger inventions to try and even just barely break Joel's skin. And those bigger, stronger inventions were starting to do a lot of structural damage to the city. Because Doc was throwing absolutely massive weapons at Joel and Joel's lightning isn't exactly safe for normal people to be around either. He can control the voltage of his bolts and the more frustrated he gets, the stronger his lightning becomes as a defense mechanism. Which was very dangerous.

And let me be clear on something: Joel did not want to retire from being a superhero active in the field. He loved it. He loved the praise and the fans and the validation and the pride of a job well done

But Lizzie was going to run for mayor and they were married at that point and the constant destruction of Lore and Doc's fights were going to be hard on her campaign (because who wants a mayor whose husband keeps damaging her city? etc.)

For clarification here: people knew Lore and Lizzie were married or at least romantically involved in some way (because there were many pictures snapped of Joel dipping Lizzie for a kiss after particularly brutal fights), but didn't know at that time that Lore's real name was Joel.

So anyway, since Lizzie wanted to run for mayor and Joel's superheroing was going to jeopardize her campaign, he hung up his cape (figuratively? IDK. Maybe his super suit had a cape. Haven't thought about it). Because he loves his wife more than he loves being Lore.

I wouldn't necessarily say he was "forced" into retirement. He didn't want to retire, but he also knew it was the best course of action for the city's safety. To trust the city and its citizens to the other heroes who didn't destroy as much

And Joel is, at the moment, the only hero in the division with a public civilian identity. I think when Lizzie was campaigning for mayor and he retired from hero life, that was when he revealed to the city that his name is Joel.

After Lizzie won the mayor election, Joel settled into his position at the head of the superhero division and shaped it into how we see it today in the main timeline of the AU. He became the heroes' handler/supervisor, he trains new heroes when their powers are similar enough (he did not train Deepfrost, though. He was 20 when Tango manifested and they didn't get along terribly well. Their personalities were both strong and clashed). He handles logistics and dispatch. He's got other people helping him, but he's at the top. He wasn't the only one who made the decision to have heroes register their secret identities with the division, but he and Lizzie were the ones to approve it

Joel was 24 and barely into his role as the head of the superhero division (he was not in the field for very long) when Tango left/was kicked out of the division - and the two had a rather violent final encounter at the division building. The reason Tango even held his own as long as he did against Joel's invulnerability during their altercation is the fact that Tango is a genius, a gifted strategist, really nimble, fast, very tricky, very slippery (as Jimmy/Sheriff would attest in a heartbeat), and quick on the draw with his powers. Tango's darkness actually trumps the light given off by Joel's lightning (meaning even if Joel shot a bolt of lightning through Tango's cloud of darkness, he wouldn't be able to see anything), and that definitely saved him from getting fried hard to shoot what you can't see and Tango can control how the darkness moves

So yeah! TL;DR, Joel's powers and his mutual hatred with Doc probably could have destroyed the whole city and he decided it was best for him to stay out of the field after Lizzie wanted to run for mayor

Somewhere between when Tango left the division and the beginning of "Even Ice Walls Fall Down," Joel mellowed out somewhat - and matured a lot. That said, if Deepfrost ever went back to the division, Joel and him would still probably throw hands on sight

so it's totally past my bedtime but I've been watching NCIS again lately and need to go on a ramble so here goes

...not the full rewatch like back to series one and JAG and Kate and such, just from Netflix's catalogue on so like season 10 or something onwards

it was my number 1 obsession in my tweens and early teens but up until now I had seen little to none of the post Ziva era

here's a collection of thoughts:

I used to ship Tiva soooo hard - like I used to use 'Tiva' in usernames! and now I watch them and am just like euuuhhhh idk I feel like Ziva deserves better. In all honesty a lot of my ships (particularly when I was younger) are basically just a reflection of whatever the piece of media 'wanted' me to ship. like it was all just pattern recognition and the autism y'know.

having said that, and while we're on ships. I enjoyed the ride Ellick (apparently that's their ship name?) took me on. honestly as an extension of Ellie's arc in particular. Like there's that episode when she's dating Qasim but the team doesn't know yet and they talk about her compatibility with Reeves vs Torres, and the thing is like they were totally right Ellie and Torres totally weren't compatible at that point in Ellie's character arc. When she joins she's like the most stable 'normal' member of the team, she's maybe even a little naive, she's happily married to a fellow intellectual business-y soft-boy type. Then there's Qasim, still a fellow intellectual still a soft-boy type but much more of a romantic idealistic(?) soul. And throughout her tenure Ellie becomes more and more 'NCIS'- she gets more reckless and badass etc etc etc until the point where she kinda meets nick at his level for their compatibility. Like his character is comparatively relatively unchanged in that time, like he's settled a little bit really it's Ellie that 'matches his freak'. But her arc wasn't finished- she had to keep going and left him behind in her wake. and I dont think i really latched on until Ellie left but Torres is really one of My Guys at this point - like Elliot Spencer of Leverage flavoured guy. Y'know on the outside a bit of a broody (slightly sassy) lone-wolf badass type, super strong protective drive, vulnerable inside and don't believe they're worthy of love... Love that flavour of guy.

Okay that was a long one but I'm not really done with this topic but just think about the potential this holds for the future. I don't know why the actress left the show and that will effect how likely she'd ever be to come back but ugghhhh just imagine.

They run into Ellie on an op. She's undercover and 'working with' the bad guys. To protect both her cover and Torres she shoots him ala Gibbs and McGee in 1mm. THE ANGST. His little heart broken eyes. the tension the conflict. Nom Nom Nom Nom Nom delicious. She becomes one of their reoccurring 'villains' maybe her pic is even up on the most wanted wall. Maybe there's tie-ins with the Tony and Ziva series? Cause like I've seen that speculation and it kinda makes sense but again I need the drama of her being 'in opposition' to our mains. and anyway I need the friends to lovers to enemies to lovers /enemy lovers pipeline for them. The tension they could deliver, both dramatic and sexual, unprecedented. Sign me up.

I'm rambling, this isn't even general thoughts lol it's all Ellick with an honourable mention to Tiva.

Quick actually general thoughts:

They keep setting mcgee up as future director, and have been for a couple of seasons, I wonder if thats gonna come to fruition any time soon

12 yo me really did have a moment when Ziva came back.

Having said that I'm really not a cast purist. (I probably was at 12 tho lol) Like I don't mind people leaving and being replaced, that happens in long running shows and I feel like so far it's gone relatively well. Even Gibbs leaving- like he was iconic but they managed to make his departure seem refreshing rather than.. 'emptying'.. if that makes sense.

I guess I was surprised to find out that LA was cancelled, just cause it was the most solid spinoff they'd had but honestly I hadn't seen that in years either so who knows how it was actually doing.

I think 12 yo me is very excited for the Tony and Ziva spinoff. I just can't quite hear her over current me's excited projecting about future ellie possibilities- there's so much meat on that bone.

I was honestly low-key surprised that Knight and Jimmy became a thing cause I feel like at first they were kinda setting knights character up to be a lesbian- the way she clocked Marcy, and I feel like there was at least one other moment that I can't think of off the top of my head. I guess she could still be bi, but idk, I feel like I definately clocked a few hints early on that she wasn't into dudes? She and jimmy were a cute plotline though so I'm not gonna knock it

How long have you been in the Tomdaya fandom? What made you interested and what keeps you in the fandom?

I've been in the Tomdaya fandom since 2017! 😊 I've honestly never "shipped" any couple before aside from TZ tbh. Yea, I've thought celeb couples were "cute", but never to the extent or level as I have with Tomdaya. And I don't think I ever will again tbh lol 😅

I got interested after seeing Tom in "Spider-Man HOCO" for the first time. I fell in love for the first 15 mins of seeing him in the film (and I didn't even really like his casting tbh lol!). By the end of the movie, I just KNEW he would be a star....and I was right! 😅

I knew Zendaya before I knew Tom, and I've always thought she was such a sweet and good role model (cringe, I know), and she always seemed down to earth. I was keeping up somewhat with some of the Spidey HOCO filming pics back in 2016, but I didn't start really SHIPPING Tomdaya until LSB I think?? I just saw their undeniable chemistry from then on and during the HOCO press tour, and I couldn't deny it!

Oh girrrl...before Tom flew to LA again, I was VERY close to hanging up my coat lol.... 🤏🏾 NOT because I thought we Tomdaya fans were "delusional" or wrong for thinking something was brewing in Atlanta (I think we could tell something most definitely was), but more so because I go by FACTS. I'm not about to be pining after something/or someone if there aren't any FACTS to back it up. I just felt the pining and waiting and wanting something to happen was just taking a toll.....and so I gave myself a certain amount of time to pine....and then after that, I was just going to STOP with the pining and accept whatever was. 🤷🏾‍♀️

I just don't like endless rumination if there's no evidence to back something up, ykwim?? I go by FACTS and EVIDENCE. my summary of what i think about the break up of isa and carlos (i will miss them su much!!)

Carlos clearly dated Isa, knowing he would propose to her at some point. And the fact that he broke up with her now, after 7 years, is heartbreaking. His parents clearly like long and sweet relationships, as seen in Ana and Blanca's relationships, as they are both happily married (congrats to Blanca btw!!).

Carlos wanted to get married at around 30, and before the rumours emerged, I thought they were destined for each other. They were both 28, so close to 30, and this was just so ugh to think about when i read the article about their breakup. Something inside me is telling me that Carlos will realise what he's done and get back to her, although this is highly unlikely. I'm just getting my hopes too high, aren't i?

I am actually pleased about how Isa is taking the breakup. She came out in public, confident and with her beautiful smile and even wished Carlos the best of luck in the future and said she would remember the memories they created together over the past 7 years. I'm seeing a lot through all my social media about the new anti-trans youth bill in Texas and how "kids that young don't know who they are or what they want and it's abuse to force that on them blah blah blah" like no. Fuck that.

I've been working as a substitute teacher for the last year. I work in two districts. My home district and one I live 20 minutes away from. I went to school in my home district and I didn't know any trans kids growing up UNTIL they were out of school. My best friend from childhood is trans and I am so proud of him now living his best life and I look back and can now understand things in retrospect that made no sense growing up. He was always kind of sad. Not like straight out, openly depressed. But I remember looking over at him and seeing this look come over his face that would disappear the second he saw mine. He moved away when we were 11 and, after high school, he transitioned, had surgery, got married to the woman of his dreams, and just looks so much happier than I've seen him I think ever. I compare pics of him from when we were ten to picks now and I can honestly see the difference in him. If he'd been comfortable enough or had the vocabulary to express what he was feeling, I believe he would have transitioned when we were little. His parents are 100% supportive and loving, as is his sister.

Anyway, as I said, I'm a substitute for 2 districts. In both, the middle and high schools are connected. In my home district, we've always been relatively LGBTQ positive. We had (and still have) several openly queer staff members. Our music teacher was a self-proclaimed Bear and openly spoke of his husband. He ran the GSA (now SAGA for Sexuality and Gender Alliance) and several of us volunteered to make rainbow pins for the day of silence. We always ran out, no matter how many we made. We got support from all over. That being said, while I was in school, I didn't know anybody who was out while I was in school. I had friends I knew were queer, but they weren't out to the school at large. That has since changed drastically. Now, I walk through the halls and see flags hanging up everywhere, teacher's keep them on their desks as a show of support to any student, out or not, who needs to see that. Keep in mind, I live in a relatively red county in New York State, so we still have a lot of conservatives that question pronouns and make disparaging comments about the community as a whole, but it does not stop these kids from openly supporting and defending the ones who are out and proud.

In my home district, I do not know one openly trans kid. There may be some, but I haven't had every student yet so I haven't met any.

In the other district, though? I just did a 2 day substitution for a sixth grade class and I had 3 trans students in one day. Two of them I didn't even know we're trans until I accidentally dead-named them because of the roster.

The first time it happened, it was immediately corrected by that student and several others in class. I obviously immediately corrected myself and asked their pronouns (they/him). This kid absolutely Lit Up when I asked that question. As if nobody had ever asked it before. Mind you, this was on FRIDAY. Already well into the school year in March. I assume his teacher had asked and used those pronouns and his classmates knew and used them, but I wonder if any sub ever did. Idk I don't want to make assumptions, but they looked at me like I was an anomaly, in the best way possible.

Another trans kid had a guidance appointment during class and I got a call halfway through to send him down. They dead-named him. I had literally no clue who they were talking about and I said the name out loud.

Y'all let me tell you I nearly peed myself when this entire class of 11 and 12yo's yelled his corrected name straight at me. I have auditory processing issues so the wave of "DAKOTA" didn't register. I was like terrified like what?

Then he said, in a really small voice, "My name is Dakota" and I was like, "oh, sorry. Dakota, guidance is waiting for you." He nodded and went on his merry way. I asked his friends what his pronouns were and they said 'he/him'. I thanked them and went on with the class. But, honestly? I felt awful. Twice I had dead-named a trans kid that day. I know it's not my fault but like these kids go through enough so I still felt super awful.

Third kid gets to my classroom and they have a trans pin so I'm like, okay, I'm ready. It's not going to happen a third time.

Before I take attendance, I ask them quietly, what is your name and what are your pronouns? She/her. Okay, great. I take note and I say the right name as I'm going through the roster. She smiles and gives me a thumbs up. I felt like the student getting a goddamn gold star.

So. What's my point in all this? Asking for pronouns, chosen names, etc, is not that hard. Supporting your trans students is not hard. It's not fucking abusive (ABBOTT). It makes them super fucking happy when you get it right, when you make that effort, when you show them that you actually care about getting it right and making that effort.

I shouldn't have had to ask the students at this point in the year, though. They were all openly trans. Their teachers knew it. I found notes with "real names" in desks when I looked later on (they give substitutes freshly printed rosters) and cursed myself for not looking sooner. Dakota was a regular Guidance attendee, so even SHE should have known his name and pronouns, but she gave me the wrong ones and the wrong name and made me purposely misgender this poor kid. I'm glad that the class yelled at me. I hope they do it with other substitutes, too. I hope it hammers in the fact that these kids know not only who they are, but also know and respect who their classmates are. It's so much easier for kids to understand this than adults. It's so super important for trans kids to have their names and pronouns respected not only by their peers but the adults in their life.

Creating bills that make respecting that a crime punishable by actually taking them away from supportive families and sending them to suicide-supporting camps (because that's EXACTLY what they are) is absolutely horrid. Keeping younger kids from being able to express their identities just because they don't align with some bigoted lawmakers' beliefs and keeping them from seeing the adults in their lives being able to express their own sexualities and/or gender expressions is so incredibly harmful and it's the reason why so many people (like myself) don't even realize that they're not straight and/or cis until much later in life.

I came out in my 20's because I didn't see a lot of positive representation of the LGBTQ community until I was in middle/high school. My own mother has said "that's why you don't be a lesbian" to my face in response to my brother's friend being heartbroken after breaking up with her girlfriend (my mom was going through a divorce; the irony doesn't escape me). Still, she tries to convince me that I'm bi and not a lesbian because I had crushes on boys in middle and high school (I didn't really. I legit chose a boy and said I like him when she asked bc she never stopped asking.) Had I been able to name the feelings I had when a girl made me blush or when I wanted to spend all my time with her or just wanted to be in her vicinity (besides just like oh I wanna be her friend lol), I would have come out in high school or earlier. I probably would never have officially "come out" because it would be just as normal to me as any girl who liked guys. I would have taken a girl to my prom like I so desperately wanted to, instead of the guy friend I ended up dragging along.

All this to say...support the trans kids in your life. Support the LGBTQ+ community in front of kids. Be vocal about your support or, if you can't be vocal, send out little signs (a rainbow pin, maybe) that lets them know you are an ally and you will support them when others refuse to even acknowledge their existence.

The tension in the room could be cut with a knife. Dick's jaw was clenched and if looks could kill y/n would be six feet under. He rubbed a hand through his face trying to remain calm; he knew that the wrong word could mean another fight and he was honestly tired of it. He was stubborn but so was Y/n,she was not going to back away from a fight specifically if she knew that she was right. 

"Look y/n, all I'm saying is that you could've handled that better than you did" Dick said through gritted teeth.

Dick scoffed trying to remain calm "this isn't about me y/n, this is about you putting yourself at risk and almost ruining our plan!" He said throwing his arms in the air "that's why we have a plan, so we could follow it and don't fuck up!"

Dick was starting to become more and more frustrated with his girlfriend. He knew that she meant well when she save those civilians but she almost didn't make it out alive, and that's what terrified Dick. He was terrified of losing the only good thing in his life right now. He tried his best to explain to her, why was he so mad about this whole situation,but he wasn't a man of words. He has a hard time trying to convey his feelings in a way that didn't come across as rude or angry.

So they fought. A lot.

"Screw you! I did what I had to do! I follow the plan every single time Grayson, but when something unexpected happens you need to be prepared to steer away from the plan and think fast, and that's what I did" she said breathing heavily right now. The anger always took the best of her, and she hated it. She hated how agitated she got whenever they fought. She could feel the tears prickling at the corner of her eyes, but refuse to let them fall.

Dick shook his head and decided that the fight was leading them nowhere, so he turned around and left her alone in their shared bedroom. It's been at least four hours since Dick left Y/n in the room. She didn't feel like talking to anyone to she opted to stay in bed. Their fight replaying in her head over and over. If Dick and herself weren't so stubborn, maybe things would have turned different than they were. Y/n sighed and decided to clean up the room a little bit. With their hectic lives she and Dick didn't really have much time to actually practice mundane chores such as: cooking or doing laundry, so the pile of clothes at the foot of her bed was looking at her pleading to be put away once and for all. She finished putting the clothes away half an hour later and sighed looking at the door hoping that Dick would enter at any moment, but when that didn't happen she ran a hand through her face and decided to call it a night.

Y/n tossed and turned in bed, trying hard to fall asleep; she gave up after a while  realizing that sleep won't come for her that night. Before getting out of bed she heard a small knock coming from outside, she muttered a 'come on in' and saw her boyfriend's figure standing at the other side of the door.

"Hey" he said softly not entering the room. Y/n saw the wheels turning inside his head, thinking what to say. She wanted to assure him that it was okay, that they were okay but it would be a lie if she said she wasn't hurt.

"I can't sleep, can we talk?" Dick finally said. Y/n nodded at patted the spot beside her on the bed. Dick sat down and grabbed y/n's hand giving her a squeeze making the girl smile a little. It was always like this, whenever they fought Dick would squeeze her hand; it was his way of telling her that they were okay, maybe not 100% okay, but they were okay enough to talk it out without yelling at each other. 

"I'm sorry. I know it was unfair of me to say that you ruined everything. I just-" Dick sighed  moved closer to y/n so he could look at her eyes "I just can't bare the thought of losing you. I know you're capable of taking care of yourself and I know you're one of the best in our team,but I love you I can't lose you,not you."

Y/n sniffed wiping the tears that stained her cheeks. She grabbed Dick head in her hands and kissed him deeply. "I love you too baby, and I'm sorry too for being so stubborn. But we both know that if someone is in danger it doesn't matter what happen to us as long as we keep everyone else safe" she said kissing his temple. 

Dick hasn't been this happy in such a long time and it scared the shit out of him. Happiness was always taken away from him when he least expected so seeing her girlfriend put herself at risk and almost didn't make it, it felt we if someone ripped his heart out of his chest. 

"I know. And I know I was being kind of a hypocrite whenever I say you shouldn't put yourself in danger when I do the same. But I just can't help it" he said making her laugh a little. She kissed him again.

Even though they weren't the best with words and didn't know how to express themselves verbally, speaking was no needed right now to convey how much they loved each other.

As Dick positioned on top of Y/n she looked at him with so much love that it made his inside melt. He kissed her hard this time, savouring how she tasted. Dick helped her take her clothes off, which consisted of one his shirts and some shorts. Y/n bit her lip when he saw the hungry look on Dick's eyes. His hands roamed her body. You shook your head and reached out for his hand, ”Please stay with me.” You mumbled sleepily. ”Alright, I’ll just go clean up and get set up on the couch,” Spencer said going to leave your room, ”No, sleep with me in my bed, please.”

If you had been awake enough to see the confused look on Spencer’s face you probably would’ve started hysterically laughing.

”Y/N, are you sure?” Spencer asked softly.

”Hmm, I’m sure.”

”Alright, I’m going to go clean and I’ll come to bed after.”

”You promise you'll come back?”

“I promise.”

After about twenty minutes of cleaning Spencer made his way back into your bedroom and slowly eased himself onto your bed. Instantly you were cuddled up to him, your head resting against his chest and one of your arms around his waist, Spencer was tense at first, but relaxed after a moment of thinking through what had just happened.

You had been the one to fall asleep on his shoulder. You had also been the one that asked him to stay over and sleep in your bed. Lastly, although you were asleep you still gravitated towards him.

”Goodnight, Y/N.” He said softly as he wrapped his arms around you protectively and laid his head against yours.

Now five months later you were rushing to get ready for Rossi’s wedding. About two weeks after Spencer invited you to the wedding you went dress shopping. You had wanted Spencer to come with you, but he was called away on a case on the day you set aside to go and you were so excited that you didn't want to wait any longer. Neither of you had discussed what you’d be wearing so the two of you together were either going to be a complete mess or something beautiful all together.

You had just finished putting the final touches on your hair and makeup when there was a knock at your door. Full of excitement you rushed to the door to open it.

Spencer was frozen in place as he took the sight of you in. You looked like you were glowing, the smile you had on your face fully reached your eyes and they were sparkling. The dress you were in was Spencer’s favorite shade of purple it was a perfect match to his favorite scarf. For once in his life, he was absolutely speechless. There was a subtle blush creeping on his cheeks, that you took note of, but to be completely honest your cheeks looked the same. He looked unbelievably handsome.

After a moment of silence, you finally spoke up and Spencer stepped into your apartment. ”Do I look alright?” You asked, your voice small under his gaze.

”Alright? Y/N, you look absolutely beautiful.” Spencer replied taking your hands in his. The sincere tone in his voice caused you to smile even wider than Spencer even thought was possible.

”Thank you. You look incredibly handsome.” You pressed a quick kiss to his cheek and ran to your room to get your bag so you could go.

”Hey, Y/N?” Spencer said softly yet loud enough to get your attention.

”Yeah, Spence?” You responded looking up at him as you slid your jacket on.

”You know I love you, right?”

”I know. I love you too.”

Spencer smiled at that and allowed you to loop your arm through his as you walked out of your apartment and into his car. The drive to the wedding was filled with singing along to cheesy songs on the radio and lots of laughs.

The actual service was beautiful. You were pretty sure you had never seen Rossi that happy before in all the time you'd known him. Everyone around you was incredibly happy and they deserved to be that happy with all of the horrible things they faced on a daily basis. The number of people there was small. It was really only the BAU team and their significant others, Rossi’s daughter, and one or two other people. It was perfect.

During the service, out of the corner of your eye you had caught Spencer staring at you. You weren't innocent either though you had snuck a few glances at him when he wasn't looking either. Happiness was rare for Spencer. In the moments in which he was genuinely happy you couldn't help, but love every second of it. Out of everyone, you knew Spencer Reid deserved happiness the most, but he never seemed to be able to hold onto it for long. So everyone opportunity you had to make him happy you took.

When the reception started the ladies of the BAU whisked you away from Spencer, they wanted desperately to catch up with you. Penelope kept telling you how beautiful you looked over and over again, Tara had asked you about work, Emily kept saying how all of you had to go out for a girls night, and JJ was very interested in if you were seeing anyone or not.

A little later on Penelope was behind the bar with Tara and Spencer in front of her. You were occupied with talking to Matt and Kristy. JJ was dancing with Will when she noticed Spencer with a longing look in his eyes, that she followed back to you, a smile graced her face and she excused herself from Will to go talk to Spencer.

”Hey, Spence,” JJ said as she walked up to him, ”Everything alright?” Spencer nodded, ”Yeah, I just have something on my mind.”

”Something or someone?” JJ said with a smirk on her face giving a quick nod your way. The blush that appeared on Spencer’s face confirmed her suspicions.

”Do you remember a few weeks ago when we were talking about our imagined futures?” Spencer asked as he faced her. JJ smiled, ”Of course, I do.”

”Well, five months ago when we found out the date of the wedding I went over to Y/N’s apartment, you know how we always have our ”date” nights?” Spencer smiled at the end of his statement and JJ nodded, ”Yeah, I know.” a smile appearing on her face.

”That night she fell asleep on my shoulder during one of our movies, so I brought her to bed and she asked me to stay with her.”

”You’ve stayed there before though. That's nothing out of the ordinary.”

”No, but when I said I’d sleep on the couch she asked me to sleep in her bed with her. So I did and when I got in the bed she instantly cuddled into me. Wrapped her arms and legs around me and everything.”

At this point, JJ had the biggest smile on her face and Spencer’s cheeks were turning red.

”Ever since then, I just find myself imagining what my life would be like with her, what it would be like to come home to her and cuddle up with her, what dates we could go on, what our future could bring for the both us. I really like her JJ, I don't want to mess anything up if she doesn't feel the same way. She's so beautiful, kind, smart, and funny, I’ve always seen her as those things, but now those feelings are stronger.”

”You should go for it, Spence. It's obvious she likes you. I caught the two of you giving each other glances during the ceremony. Ever since you first brought her around I’ve thought she was perfect for you. And I think a part of you always knew that even if you're just realizing it now.”

”I’m just scared,” Spencer said as he ran his hand through his hair.

JJ gave his hand a squeeze, ”I know, but you won't know until you try. You deserve to be happy Spencer, and clearly, she makes you happy and you make her happy.”

You had noticed Spencer and JJ talking for quite some time and didn't want to interrupt so when they finally seemed finished you went over to them.

”Dance with me?” You asked putting your hand out for Spencer. The nervous look that flashed crossed his face didn't go unnoticed by you, but to your surprise, he agreed and walked with you out to the dance floor.

A slow song was playing which meant the dancefloor was occupied by mostly the couples that came. Will and JJ were, Matt and Kristy, Rossi and Krystal. Then, Tara and Luke, we're dancing together while goofing off slightly. A slightly drunken Penelope had Emily dancing with her which had everyone smiling and laughing. Then that left you and Spencer.

Your head was rested against his chest, his chin rested on top of it, and your hand was in his with your other arm wrapped around him. His other hand resting on your back.

”This is nice.” You mumbled against his chest.

”It really is.” He said softly.

Spencer knew that it was now or never. If he didn't tell you how he felt now, he may never have the courage to do so again.

”Y/N?”

”Yeah, Spence?”

”Can we go outside and talk about something?”

Spencer sounded nervous which made you nervous. You looked up at him to give him a reassuring smile, ”Of course we can.”

He led you outside onto the balcony and started to pace back and forward.

”Spence, If this is about that night at my house a few months ago, I’m sorry, I didn't mean to make anything weird.”

Spencer looked at you with confusion filled features and shook his head, ”No, no, no. You didn't do anything wrong.”

You walked up to him and held his hands as you walked him over to the bench, ”What’s got you so nervous?”

”You.”

”Me?”

Spencer nodded.

”Why me? I don't understand.”

He looked away from you and started fidgeting with his hands.

”Hey, look at me, it's just me you can tell me anything.” You said tilting his head up and rubbing your thumb across his cheek.

”I like you, Y/N. I like you a lot.”

Spencer said it so quietly that you almost didn't even register that he said anything, but when you did your heart melted and happiness filled your being.

You leaned into him and pressed your lips against his. It took him a moment to process what was happening, but once he did he was kissing you back. It wasn't a heated or heavy kiss. It was something sweet.

Once the two of you pulled away from each other he held your face in his hands, ”I like you a lot too, Spencer.”

The smile on his face beat the one you saw five months ago when he asked you to Rossi’s wedding. This one was a smile filled with genuine happiness, it reached his eyes and they were full of hope and joy. You had made him that happy.

He kissed you again and wrapped you up in his arms.

The two of you went back inside and continued to dance in the same position you left off in. Spencer placed a kiss on your head and smiled at JJ.

”Do you want to stay over tonight?” You asked looking up at him.

”Of course, I do.” He pressed a kiss to your lips.

”Cuddles in your bed?”

”Cuddles in my bed.”

That night everyone left happy. They all celebrated an old love that was rekindled and a new love that was blossoming in front of them.
