Percival Asvang

1) Percy is a descendant of Rufus Asvang, Valentina's younger brother.

2) From the fact above, Percy resembles Rufus. Perhaps a copy. But no, Percival is not a reincarnation of him, especially when it comes to character.

3) He had four sisters (all vampires, of course), who was killed by The Strauds (which includes Caleb and Lilith), as they were a threat. He escaped because they underestimated him, thinking that he was "weak". He was, in fact, not, because in Asvang blood, someone will always evolve in terms of power.

4) He was supposed to be a sacrifice for Lenora Beau's reawakening. Fortunately, there was another way, and he was spared, even from Helen's revenge (albeit she went almost insane before they were forced to wipe her memory).

5) His work is the security supervisor for Gertrude's San Myshuno. His other work, however, involves doing dirty jobs. With the San Myshuno vampires striking a deal with Lily Feng, he does this job together with Caleb, Lilith, and Helen. By dirty job, it means they're cleaning the streets, and by cleaning, it means they kill when necessary if Lily Feng deems someone is dangerous to her, to her husband (the Mayor), and the city.

Thank you for the ask! Sorry it took me so long to answer, I had family in town and it was exhausting. I'm going to pick Elizabeth and Nathanael since they don't get a lot of screen time but are one of my favorite couples.

They were an arranged marriage. Nathanael knew about it but Elizabeth did not. They fell in love and it wasn't until after he proposed that he told her the truth. She was mad at first but forgave him in the end.

The biggest disagreement/fight they ever had was about how many kids they'd have. Nathanael wanted a big family and Elizabeth only wanted as few as needed to have an heir. It's partly why there's a large age gap between Eleanor and Wyatt. Elizabeth loves Wyatt but it took a lot of convincing for her to agree to another child.

They have a "no secrets" relationship. There is nothing that they don't tell each other.

Their marriage caused quite a stir when it was announced to the public. Nathanael was the first foreign royal to marry the heir since Queen Amelia married King Edaric in 1785. He was also the first male consort to come from a foreign royal family.

They have a rule that they don't go to bed angry and if they always say "I love you" to one another before they go to bed. Even when they are apart, they call or facetime right before bed.

Hi Joy! TY for the ask 😊 I'm not sure if people play with this feature a lot but satisfaction points! When I'm just playing and not focusing on the story, I happen to tick off the whims and try to complete aspirations. Then when I check them...WOAH when did it get so high!!! There are lots of fun ones to buy and my favourite is the money tree lmaooo it's not cheating is it 😂

I took a look at my post asking for suggestions (to which I will respond to shortly after this ask!) and people suggested I should choose a random sum (General consensus was 5-10) of simblrs, specifically smaller ones, and send that SQOTD to those people! I believe that's a similar idea to what your proposing- and I would absolutely put that in my pinned post as well! Good idea :)

And I appreciate your last paragraph!! It's a little jarring to hear I'm leading a movement because it makes it sound like what I'm doing is so much bigger than what I'm actually doing but thank you ^o^ !

Hi! I've been catching up and I have mixed feelings about characters I dislike. You did a great job and now I'm off wondering if I feel like crying or if I'm an awful person for not really feeling super sad for them.

(this was just an ask of appreciation, happy very belated birthday and I also can't wait for the next update)

I really enjoy getting asks like this! This isn't the first time I've heard from readers that they're not really sure how to feel about my characters, particularly Andre and Rosalind. My answer is always the same: you're not supposed to feel any particular way!

I try to write characters who feel like real people—they have consistent motivations and perspectives and they think, behave, and react in a way that is understandable, regardless of whether or not their motivations are sympathetic to the reader.

Although I have certain intentions in how I'd like characters to come across, I'm not interesting in telling people how they're "supposed" to react. If you never liked Andre and you're not sympathetic to him now that he's been diagnosed with a terminal illness, that's a fair reading of the story and the characters. If you like him and are devastated, that's also a fair reading of the story and the characters! If you've got mixed feelings or you're sympathetic in the abstract but ultimately feel worse for Elise and the kids than the man himself...broken record, but that's a fair reading of the story and characters!

I have a lot of thoughts about royalty and gender and storytelling and how authors decide who to "make" sympathetic and how readers interpret actions, but I'll spare you the ramble and just say that I always really enjoy hearing reader perspectives on the characters.

Thanks again for taking the time to send an ask, and I hope you do enjoy what's coming next! Tomorrow's update in particular has some stuff that a lot of people have been secretly (or not-so-secretly) wanting for a long time and I'm excited to see how people feel about it!

Sorry to bother, but I saw another ask on the simmify instant camera and realized that I had the package installed and do not use it because I don't see it either (I do have BBB with CC filter checked and see all my CC, including other CC by you). I can search for the item in the search bar but then I will have "no results found".

A similar issue has been reported before, so I did some further investigation. I have just published the updated file, which should hopefully fix the catalog issue.

Tl;dr: the original item included Get To Work EP tags, even though cameras became base game objects some time ago. The updated file should resolve this issue and make the camera visible to everyone. Apologies for taking some time to figure this out!

Death of Cataleya Ernest, Alfonso's family reunites

When I came back in game after posting family pics last time, I returned to a notification announcing Cataleya's death. Alfonso feels even more the weight of loneliness in his house since the passing of his neighbor and sister. On the suggestion of his eldest Yolanda, Alfonso's family reunited at the house of Alfonso's second child, Branden, to meet Estelle, the new addition to Branden's household! In the meantime, Nathan (Branden's eldest) and Leïla (Yolanda's youngest) went to play in a neighbouring park. Back at home, Leïla asked her big sister Sienna help to learn how to ride a bike.

Unfortunately, I don't have screenies because I haven't bought it yet and my laptop clearly wouldn't be able to run it. However, I've watched the whole gameplay and it was amazing. I can't wait to get adult money and spend it for the game.

Conclusion:

Do not ask me what games to play besides TS4 (or all sims games honestly) because this is what I'll be suggesting you. Definitely not cozy anymore 😭 anyways, if you're up for hack and slash, customization, and deep confusing and ???? lore, play Warframe. (This game is grindy though, you gotta have a lot of freetime for this one; I played a lot when I was in 3rd year and I can't even play this game much this year)

If you want to romance aliens, listen to Jennifer Hale's iconic voice as the female Commander Shepard, play the Mass Effect Trilogy.

You want more of Mass Effect? Come to Andromeda. It has semi open worlds, lovely Jaal, and your suit got a jetpack.

Both Mass Effect titles follows the same "choices matter" system you'll find in another BioWare game (Dragon Age).

If you want more hack and slash but like story progressive, play God Eater. People say it's like Monster Hunter, so if you have experience from that game, I'm sure you can play GE.

Those are the games for me when I'm tired of the sims. TS4 making you insane and hella mad? Play these games. It'll worsen your mood. 😂😂😂

If Cecelia and Noel have a kid... Will they just be a copy of Vanessa? 👀 (No I'm still not over the fact that there are technically Vanessa genes in Charlene and now they're all I can see)

Omg, I'm cackling! I love this ask!

So spoilers, Cecelia and Noel have two kids, Savanah and Donovan (I'll put their pics below). I think Shrimpy and Dalton's genes came through enough in Cecelia and Noel that their kids aren't just copies of Vanessa but there are some genes that are more prominent.

@ardeney-sims and I still can't get over how long it took everyone to notice how similar Charlene and Vanessa look lol. It's one of those things though that once you see, you can't unsee it.

Ooh I LOVE this question! Hmm, I'm not sure if it's an underused feature as such but I feel like we don't use the calendar functions as much as we could. Especially holidays. Like, I didn't even know until last year that you didn't have to actually have activities set for holidays for your sims to do on those days! Bc of that, I utilise them to set up things like school holidays (e.g. summer holidays, Christmas holidays) so that kids can be off school and nobody has goals they have to fulfil, which feels more like real life. I'm even using the calendar and holidays function to put events on the calendar to remind me of big events that require me to play in another household that's part of the family such as holidays for newborns, infants, toddlers, children, and teens. It means I can go in, throw a party if I think the family would do that, and age up the sim to give them a trait that suits them rather than the game giving them a trait that makes no sense (like evil 🙄). It also works for wedding or death anniversaries in the family so that I can have the family members gather at someone's house and spend time together to commemorate that day

We are celebrating Ares's (insert age for Young Adult Sims) birthday. Because his big sister, Athena, is on a mission to piss him off, we are extending the invitation to all his past bang buddies. No girlfriends (He's only ever claimed two: Val and Em)

Think of it like a bachelor challenge. Only instead of winning his heart, you'll enjoy a Wicked Whims flashback scene of your time with Ares. (And a shirt...maybe. @citylighten is working on a little somethin' something'. We'll see).

What are we looking for:

Lady Sims (Young Adult +)

Dress them in their party best (It's Called the Hellfire Gala)

What's their backstory and how did they meet Ares (in high school, doing cartel business, were they a one-time thing or casual buddies, are they still friend-ish now, or want him back?

No mythology names please (for the sake of my story, only the cartel family have God names)
