One of these days I am going to create a jjk no curse au that is so comprehensive and complete and every messed up family tree translates into equally weird but completely plausible irl scenarios and then I can finally draw random fluff happening in it
#my first thing that I've been thinking about is making kaori and kenjaku identical twins and kenjaku is enby and on t#and they're the one that had choso but for transgender and parenthood trauma reasons kenny didn't want choso so kaori took him in#and bc they are identical twins choso can be counted as kaori's kid dna wise so hs's still tachbically yuuji's brother#suguru is their cousin and kenny and him look a lot alike after kenny goes on t#in my au gojo and his buddies are only like 6 years younger than kaori and kenjaku and sukuna and jin and all of those peeps#toji's younger than the sukuna era ppl but older than gojos era of ppl by like 3 years#he got hitched and had a kid pretty young and his wife still dies early on#but he knows the itadori family bc yuuji and megumi go to the same kindergarten and he made the mistake of trying to hit on kaori#jin still gives him shit for that (toji could beat him in a fight tho probably)#(both sukuna and kenjaku find that fact very attractive for different reasons)#jin and sukuna are fraternal twins#sukuna's bulkier and slightly taller#they look like siblings but not quite like twins also jin is the older one#bc kenjaku is suguru's older cooler bad boy cousin geto tries to imitate them with little things like wearing nail polish like them#or growing his hair out#the bun is originally geto's thing but kenny steals that as family does sometimes#kenny's forehead scar is from a motorcycle accident and then later on they got tattoos on top of it to add stitch marks bc they're cool

Warning: My Ocs Stories are subject to change whether it's the story themselves or their names or gender or what ever just throwing that out there but yeah. ALSO This talks about death, grief, and just a lot of sad stuff so you are warned.
Jin’s Backstory rundown
Jin’s parents Adsila and Jiang met when they were pretty young. Jiang recently lost his wife and met Adsila at the funeral because Adsila was a friend of the family. They fell in love and after 5 years of dating got married. Jiang had a son with his first wife named Koa and he was quite upset when his father remarried after the passing of his mother and then started to resent Adsila because he felt like his mother was being replaced. This got worse after his half-siblings were born. Liu was born first and then Jin and Holly who are twins. Koa hated his younger siblings and actively avoided them as much as he could. This caused Koa and his father Jiang to get into many fights due to his siblings complaining about their older brother not wanting to play with them. This also caused a rift between Adsila, Jiang, and Koa due to Koa being verbally abusive to his younger siblings and being just an asshole towards them. Koa was especially cruel towards his brother Jin. Possibly because Jin was constantly being “babied’ by both Jiang and Adsila. However, the reason Jin was being babied so much was because Jin had a condition that made his eyesight poor, so Jin needed help getting around, especially since he hated wearing his glasses and had to be forced to take his medicine. Adsila was very worried about Jin not being able to live a normal life as a child and even as an adult worried he would get taken advantage of due to his poor sight. Adsila would always stress to Jin’s siblings that they need to look after him because she fears the world will not be kind to him when or if he becomes blind. Koa honestly couldn't care less, he believes that Jin is ignorant enough to get himself harmed or fooled even though he knows that he is blind that is HIS fault, not Koa’s. Liu instantly takes this to heart and does his best to protect his brother even though sometimes it seems like he is hovering over him most of the time. Since Holly is his twin sister they were already pretty close before their mother told them of his condition. Holly tried her best to stay close but not too close to where he would get angry and push her away because he often did that sometimes when he felt overwhelmed or just angry in general. This pissed off Jin because he did not want to be treated like some fragile egg or some weak-minded boy. He could do whatever anyone else was doing and more! Jin got even more pissed off when his mother and his sister both suggested he just became a healer with them instead and run their shop for warriors, anthros, monsters, and just anyone in need. Jin already knew what he wanted to do and he was not going to let anyone stop him from reaching his dream of becoming a pilot! Jin has always had a fascination with airplanes and was very interested in their history and technology. Even though in their magical world they could just teleport or summon a beast to take them to where they needed to go Jin had a respect and love for aircraft. The history and the design pulled him in and he did not think that plane travel was obsolete one day he was going to prove it by running his own business where he would fly people around as well as even doing airshows for those on the ground!
Adsila and Jiang thought it would be a good idea if they sent their children to spend the holidays with Jiang’s brother Hu and their auntie. The siblings already adored their uncle especially Koa since he felt like Hu was the only person who understood him after his mother passed away.
Koa, Liu, Jin, and Holly all go to stay with their uncle and aunt for the holidays.
At this time Jin was a young boy and had a love for aircraft and still dreamed of one day being a pilot. So when he went to stay with his uncle with his siblings he was overwhelmed with joy to see his uncle had an airplane of his own. Jin’s uncle happily showed his niece and nephew around his property but Jin was only interested in the airplane. Once he was shown the airplane and taken in it he was obviously in love with the aircraft.
One night Jin pressured Liu and Holly to sneak out with him to go and fool around with the airplane even though their uncle told them not to. Jin tried to convince Koa to come with them too but Koa just told them to fuck off and rolled over and pretended to go back to sleep. Liu and Holly tried to convince Jin it was a bad idea because it was dark and Jin already couldn’t see because of his condition and this made Jin mad. Jin told them that if they were not going to go with him he would go by himself, so they decided to go with him.
Liu and Holly told Jin they were only going to sit in the plane and nothing else. At least that was the plan anyway. Everything was going fun the kids were goofing off in the airplane when suddenly Jin found the keys in a little compartment. Liu and Holly were paying attention because they were still messing around with their stuff in their uncle’s plane and just messing around. While they were not looking Jin put the keys in the irrigation and turned the plane on. Liu and Holly froze in their place out of shock, fear, and confusion when they realized Jin had started the plane. As they tried to stop him Jin drove the plane around the siblings were fighting trying to turn it back off trying to prevent Jin from taking off the ground and just yelling at each other and fighting in the dark while the plane was going in circles.
Koa hearing the plane from where he was staying got up and ran outside to go and see what his siblings were doing. Koa made it outside the house just in time to see the horror show. The plane was driven into their uncle’s barn and caused a fire that quickly spread due to the dry hay, wood, and lighter fluid in the shed. Koa didn’t move for a while as he watched the fire spread until his uncle came running out of the house with their aunt screaming when Koa snapped out of it and rushed to help his siblings as well as free the animals from the barn who were now howling in fear and pain.
Their aunt ran to grab a water hose as well as call the fire department while their Uncle and Koa went into the barn. The fire was already climbing the walls and licking at the plane’s broken wings. Through the smoke, Koa saw Jin crying and screaming as he held two hands that were apart from each other, Liu’s hand and Holly’s hand. Holly was cursed from the waist down beneath the plane and Liu had one arm trapped completely under it. Liu was crying and begging while Holly was silent and her eyes were open but they stared up at the ceiling as she slowly blinked as if she didn’t know what happened or where she was. Koa ran over to them running only on adrenaline tried to lift the plane as it began to burn his hands the hotter the fire got around it. Koa called to their uncle and he ran over lifting the plane with Koa only enough for Liu to roll out from under it and for Jin to pull Holly out from under it. Koa grabbed both Jin and Holly while their uncle carried Liu they ran out of the barn coughing and wheezing from inhaling so much smoke. There was screaming and crying coming from their aunt and from their uncle as well as Jin just sobbing over both of his siblings as he tried to hold them both. Koa only kneeled next to his younger siblings without a sound just looking at them as the sirens blasted in the background.
Holly did not make it. She was badly burned, crushed, and inhaled a lot of smoke all contributing to her death. She died on the way to the hospital with Jin by her side holding her hand. Jin had some bad burns on his hands, shoulders, and arms from trying to lift the airplane himself before Koa showed up. Liu had to get his arm amputated due to it being crushed and burned. The doctors thought Liu was not going to survive due to how much smoke he inhaled but by some miracle, he survived.
Adsila was destroyed and broken completely. Losing her daughter and her oldest son losing his arm broke her physically and mentally. Jiang was broken too losing his only daughter as well as almost losing his sons he was distraught. However, the two parents had completely different ways of dealing with the loss of a child and trauma. Adsila cried for most days and screamed and slept in Holly’s bed with all of her things even though she was doing all of this right next to Jin. Jiang came detached, losing his first wife and now his daughter he just buried himself in work and barely came home.
Adsila and Jiang later got a divorce after Holly’s and Jin’s birthday
Koa was… he did not know how to deal with his emotions. His father was not there for him when his mother passed away and he was not there for him when they buried his sister. Koa became distant from his father and after the divorce, he did not speak with Jin or Liu. When Koa turned 18 he just quietly left his father’s house only leaving him a note on his desk.
Jin was never right after that tragic day. Every day and every night he blamed himself for the death of his twin sister and the mutilation of his brother. Jin even blamed himself for his parents splitting up and blamed himself for his uncle selling his property. In Jin’s eyes it was all his fault no matter how anyone tried to spin it it was always his fault in his mind and his heart. For the longest time, Jin stayed away from Liu and away from their mother believing they would not want to see him due to him believing he was the source of all of their pain. Hearing his mother’s cries, screams, and wales of anguish broke his soul and it was all he could hear even if he was not around her. Jin had to force himself to face Liu due to his mother was so broken up with Holly she would sometimes forget about him unless it was about taking care of his amputated arm. Jin felt ashamed the first time he went to see his brother but Liu was over the MOON! Liu cried reaching for his little brother was one hand and Jin cried running over to Liu and hugging him and just repeating apologies and blaming himself. Liu just told Jin he was happy he was alive and all he wanted to do was to see him. Liu told Jin that was starting to think that they lied to him about Jin being alive and he thought that Jin had died in the accident too. Jin felt even worse making his brother worry like that. Liu then told Jin that Koa would visit a lot most of the time without their father but when their father would come he wouldn’t say anything other than ask him how was he feeling and if he wanted anything. Jin was surprised that Koa would even come to visit but was glad that Liu wasn’t alone while he was recovering in the hospital. Liu told Jin that what happened was an accident and Liu did not blame Jin for what happened to him or what happened to Holly. Jin didn’t even want to hear it changing the subject and asking Liu about other things like if the nurses were nice, how the food tasted, if he wanted Jin to bring his comic books and his sketchbook, etc.
That day Jin abandoned the dream of ever being a pilot ever again. Instead, Jin decided to take after their mother the same way Holly wanted to and became a healer. Jin opened up his shop/clinic and sold magical items as well as other healing stuff. Jin also decided to go down this path so he could keep up with the health of Liu as well as try to help those with disabilities. Jin also learned how to use his magic to keep his sight from getting any worse than it already is in the form of eye drops.
Liu decided to open up his shop where he builds gadgets and machines for people. He got the idea when he was given a prosthetic arm. Liu was already interested in robots and machines before the accident but this just sealed the deal making him want to explore more of this aspect for anyone and everyone who could find use in them. Liu is also working on a way to keep magic in a pair of glasses so Jin does not have to constantly use eye drops and could just wear glasses or contacts so he can see them whenever they are on. Both brothers just want to take care of the other!
Current Day Jin:

[ 🥀 ] 𝖘𝖔 𝖎’𝖒 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖉𝖗𝖆𝖌𝖔𝖓—𝖇𝖎𝖌 𝖉𝖊𝖆𝖑.
𝖍𝖎𝖘 𝖑𝖔𝖋𝖙 𝖆𝖕𝖆𝖗𝖙𝖒𝖊𝖓𝖙, 𝖜𝖎𝖙𝖈𝖍𝖎𝖓𝖌 𝖍𝖔𝖚𝖗 / 20230604. 𝖙𝖑𝖉𝖗 / A ( RATHER EMO ) CHECK-IN WITH JINDALLAE.
he hasn’t been sleeping well lately, and tonight’s full moon isn’t making it any easier on him—its beams casting pale, moody spotlights through the windows in his flat. no one but him is home right now, and that always puts him on edge; his limbs restless with an anxiousness he doesn’t know what to call. in truth, nights like these, when there’s no one else around, bring back the many childhood memories he has of sleeping lonesomely in his and mindeulle’s small shared bedroom. as kids, min often spent long stretches of time at the hospital, and jindallae made no secret about how much he fucking hated that. he loathed not being connected to his twin for days that frequently turned into weeks, and it felt unfair that he only got to see him when he was allowed to visit by the adults in his life, which was never as much as he wanted. it felt like a dagger sinking deep into his back, right between this shoulder blades. back then, being separated from min made jin feel like a failure of a sibling. he wanted to be there for his brother, but he was being kept away. he felt helpless because he longed to be the one trying to cheer min up—trying to shed some sort of light on the rather dark, gray and murky circumstances.
all jindallae wanted was to make min laugh, or to protect him from the phantoms under the bed, or to distract him with the action figures he used to collect, but he was seldom allowed to. each night spent alone in their space made him feel blue with sadness, and red with anger, and he typically expressed these emotions in aggression—obsessively targeting those around him for keeping him away from his brother. this era of his life is largely what began to paint him as a monster. his biting remarks and ruthlessness burned his parents, his older brother and sister, and the doctors and nurses assisting mindeulle so badly; it was alarming that someone his age could come up with such strong insults. he was called a fire-breathing dragon since then, and from then on, he’s carried around that moniker like a badge of honor. for better or for worse, it’s how he learned to function as a human being; it’s how he learned to defend himself when feeling vulnerable, or mistreated, or misunderstood. it’s how he learned to cope with quite literally being on the outside looking in for all that time.
those feelings spilled over into adolescence, then into adulthood, and as it seems, not much has changed. his blazing words and combustible temper remain intact, and so does the haunting restlessness. after min’s trips to the doctor became less frequent, jin got what he wanted by being reunited with his twin, but from that point forward, he was also plagued with catastrophic worries. throughout all of his youth, he only slept soundly when his brother was softly snoring in the bed beside his. whenever things became too quiet, jin’s alarm system sounded off—forcing him awake so that he could check on min; making absolutely sure there were no problems. most of his nights were spent secretly hovering over him, and though those moments are years into the past now, his body still clings onto that sensation—muscle memory taking over in reckless abandon. survival mode creeps up on him whenever he sleeps alone, and he despises that this is now an unfortunate reality for him.
there’s nothing he hates more than appearing weak, so the fact that he can’t figure out how to get over this enrages him, and he’s vowed to never let anyone see it. that being said though, suffering with this in silence isn’t helping matters any either, so every night there’s no one else at his place, he browses through the contacts on his phone in an attempt to find a distraction—something ( rather, someone ) to help remedy the uneasiness he’s subjected to. tonight is no different than any of the others, and as he tosses and turns, he fires off a few text messages; desperately hoping that someone’s also awake and willing to throw him a lifeline. so far though, no one seems interested, and it sucks for him to admit it to himself, but that’s likely caused by the inferno sizzling within his heart—the one that’s seemingly not afraid to rage, and torch every bridge he’s ever built between he and another person.
one day he’ll learn how to properly address these obstacles that lie in his path, but for now, he’s bullheaded and refusing to see the solutions. all there’s left to do is hope he can figure it out sooner rather than later; preferably before hurts anyone else.

ateez reaction ─── ੈ♡˳ your sibling is a bts member
─ ੈ♡˳ hongjoong
↳ you two were on the bed, you resting your head on his lap as he worked on a song. You continued talking about your day and brought up that your brother namjoon just left you on read awhile ago. You then heard the keyboard keys that were being pressed, stopped. You look up, stopping your rant to see why he stopped. Then it hit you, you never told him namjoon was your sibling. He somewhat looked as though he was accepting it. “ Hongjoong? You alright? “ He then looked at you, “ Your sibling is...Kim Namjoon? As like...the one from BTS? “ He asked. You scratched the back of your neck “ Yeah... “. Meeting namjoon for him was a dream come true. But that didn’t mean he wasn’t nervous. He was both excited and nervous. He was a bit awkward at first but grew to enjoy your sibling’s company.
─ ੈ♡˳ seonghwa
↳ when it accidentally slipped out of your mouth, seonghwa had a look that appeared to be that he was doubting your claim. He didn't believe it for a straight ten minutes. Not until you showed him a picture of you and seokjin together. He was at a state of shock, but he didn't completely show it. Instead he just looked to the side, slowly acknowledging the fact that you were related by blood to one of the most famous people. "Your not making this up, right...? " He looked at you. " For the hundredth time seonghwa, I'm not kidding! " You were on the verge of giving up. When seokjin wanted to meet your boyfriend to " see if he was handsome enough " you yourself grew nervous. You finally got to see seokjin with seonghwa by your side. Seonghwa looked both lost and confused. They both got to talk, getting to know each other. Discovering things they had in common. Seonghwa getting flustered at jin's continuous complementing. " You're perfect for my little y/n! Maybe we can both be world wide handsome! ".
─ ੈ♡˳ yunho
↳ yunho was scrolling through your gallery while you took a bath. You trusted him enough that he wouldn't do anything with your phone. When he saw your selcas with jungkook, he grew curious and confused. Were you cheating on him? What was jungkook to you? As if on cue, you walk out of the bathroom to see yunho looking incredibly focused on his thoughts. " Babe what's wrong? " You ask while getting some clothes from the nearby closet. " What's jungkook to you? " He spoke. You chuckle at his question, did he really think you'd cheat on him? Your chuckle only confusing him more. " Oh yunho, he's just my brother. " You inform the tall male. He looked even more confused. He was jungshook. He was what you called yunho.exe stopped working. Adrenaline kicked in and he escalated to jumping on the bed in excitement. When jungkook came over for both dinner and to meet who you've been gushing about, he didn't expect to see such a tall boy. He whispered to you " Damn what do they feed him? ". Yunho meeting jungkook will always be a memory he would never forget.
─ ੈ♡˳ yeosang
↳ you were both on your skateboards, drifting through the empty park. You were talking about- scratch that, insulting the antagonists of a show you two were watching. " Ugh, that girl is so annoying! She's just like taehyung-oppa! " You skate faster seeing that yeosang was meters away. Yeosang heard what you said and stopped, resulting to him tripping backwards. He fell back making his back hit the pavement. Your eyes widened as you stopped the board and rushed to help him, " Holy shit yeosang! Are you ok? " You talk as you help him get up. " You didn't tell me you were related to the Kim Taehyung... " He groaned. " Heh, sorry about that. " You apologize. Upon meeting your brother, yeosang looked calm and relaxed. Although inside his brain he was losing his shit. He found out that taehyung wasn't that scary in person. Soon they both grew close.
─ ੈ♡˳ san
↳ you were cooking dinner for the two of you. You were humming to the song that was currently playing, unaware of san's footsteps. You heard the fridge door open and turn your head. You see san drinking a glass of water and decide it was a good opportunity to tell him. " Hey so, I'm meeting up with my brother, wanna tag along? " You ask while stirring the soup. He stopped drinking and spoke " Sure, what's your brother's name? I don't wanna mess things up. ". " Oh I never told you but it's hoseok. You know, J-hope? " You explain. You heard a noise behind you but shrugged it off and continued cooking. It didn't bother you until you hear it becoming louder. You frown and look back. What you saw was the last thing you expected to see. It was san chocking on water. You paused what you were doing and immediately help the poor boy. " My god are you alright? " You ask while patting his back. " Yeah I'm *cough* I'm fine. " He says, his coughs calming down. " What you said was a joke, right? " He asks. " Of course not! I sometimes can't also believe that ass is my brother. " You roll your eyes. When the two got to interact, they instantly clicked, being that the two are literal sun's.
─ ੈ♡˳ mingi
↳ when you mentioned your sibling was yoongi, his eyes grew wide. He stopped chewing his food and stood there, frozen. Even if it had been days since he found out you were both related, he still couldn’t believe it. When you attended a family gathering and mingi as your plus one, he was nervous as hell. He wanted to leave a good impression on your older brother. He was also scared not to mention. Your brother often scared people so you understood why mingi couldn't speak without gripping your hand tighter. You swore he almost filled a bucket with how much sweat he made. When he got to talk to yoongi, he grew more comfortable and relaxed once getting to know him.
─ ੈ♡˳ wooyoung
↳ you and wooyoung recently began dating. Therefore, both of you didn't know much about each other. Today, the two of you were doing your things. Him playing games as usual. You chatting with your friend to kill time. Your friend complained about how annoying her pet could be. You taking non of her shit, replied " Oh really? Having a sibling as annoying as jimin is worse. ". Wooyoung seemed to have heard what you said. He quickly ripped his headphones off and spun the chair to your direction. His eyes were wide as you noticed his sudden action. You quickly said goodbye to your friend and hung up. You look at wooyoung who was questioning his life. " Earth to wooyoung? " You wave your hand against face. He snapped out of his thoughts and looked at you with a surprised expression. You realized what made him so shocked, " Oh! Yeah I never told you jimin was my sibling! Not to mention twin. ". He was baffled. For once quiet and speechless. In fact, starstruck. When you arranged a date wherein you could introduce your lover with your sibling. When the two sat down at the same table, you could tell wooyoung was enthusiastic as ever. He kept talking about jimin and bts were his absolute idol, thus creating a bond.
─ ੈ♡˳ jongho
↳ you were looking through an old photo album of you when you were younger. Jongho had nothing to do so he wanted to accompany you. He leaped on the bed as you opened another album. The first page had an image of you and jungkook when you both were small. It also had writings on it. Jongho read what was inscribed " Jungkook's 6th birthday! ". Jongho paused for a moment. He was skeptical if his eyes were broken or not. Before you could continue, jongho stopped your hand from flipping to the next page. That's when jongho realized you had jeon as your name. He felt so stupid for a moment. To be sure he asked you. You didn't think too much of it since you were used to everyone's initial shock. " Wait wait wait. So your telling me your related to jungkook? " Be raised his brow. You said yes and showed him more pictures to make him believe you. Accepting it was an obstacle for him. Meeting jungkook will be an even bigger one. He was quite silent at first. When they both learned a lot about one another, they often hang out. Mostly seen breaking apples and fruits together.
a / n : I FINALLY FINISHED THIS 😭 I can finally sleep now since it's like two already and I'm on the verge of passing out

Lan Wangji merely waited. With a final eyeroll, Wei Wuxian disappeared around the bend, already untying his belt as he went.

That is, until a stranger slings one leg over the wall; two jars of liquor dangling from his hand and calling out a tentative hello.

“Sorry, I, uh. Laundry day caught up to me before I could catch up with it. I saw this shirt left in the washer a few days ago, and—“ Wei Ying blinks up at Lan Zhan through dark eyelashes that he wants to kiss, maybe, and gives him an uncharacteristically hesitant smile. “Do you mind?”
I mind the fact that we are not married, Lan Zhan thinks.

Lan Zhan's voice is small, barely audible. "In the beginning?"
And then, louder, "Wei Ying…...had a crush on me? I thought - your brother often says things to rile people up."
Wei Ying wants to sink into the floor at his own foolish oversight. Of course, Lan - Gossip is forbidden - Zhan wouldn't take a drunk person, let alone Jiang Cheng at his word.
With a sigh, he readies to lie in the grave of his own making. "Aiya, Lan Zhan, have you even looked at yourself? You were mean and hot. Of course, I was into that."

Lan Zhan frowns and looks down. "That," he says, then stops. Something cold trickles down the back of his neck. "That is a ring." His eyes automatically go to Wei Ying's left hand, where… "Wei Ying."
Wei Ying, being the brilliant man that he is, is already ahead of him. "Holy shit."
Lan Zhan clears his throat.
They are in Las Vegas. And now they have rings on their fingers.
There is only one explanation for this. One simple, idiotic, ridiculous explanation.

Lost, but Found
Thank you for the support once again, @ramannnn! This was so wholesome to write, so I hope you like it~
Summary: The pair of hairpins Lien Jin wore with her usual outfit were a gift from her lover, Childe. She treasured them as much as she did anything he did for her, so when she woke up one morning and realized she had lost one, Lien Jin stormed out of home...
Commission info HERE and HERE!
__________________________
The doe-eyed dancer, Lien Jin. To say that she was the treasure of the Liyue Theater was an understatement, especially if someone asked one of her many siblings -- all of whom were also part of the staff who worked at the theater itself. She was a jewel to be kept safe and away from any prying hands, one so precious that they couldn’t leave her alone whenever she went outside on her own.
Of course, the biggest reason for that was because Lien Jin herself was much too shy around strangers to be able to enjoy a walk outside on her own -- not to mention that her overwhelming popularity made her stick out like a sore thumb when she stepped foot out of the theater. Some of her fans were overbearing, which frightened her to no end; meaning that it was imperative for one of her siblings to be with her if she were to go out.
There was a whole timetable set at the kitchen of their house, which was behind the theater. Depending on the day of the week or the hour of the day, Lien Jin was able to ask any of a set number of siblings, all according to the table; though there were some who were prone to leaving their work to escort Lien Jin depending on the situation outside.
However, this time Lien Jin went out in a hurry, running unceremoniously through the back door as though possessed.
“Oh no, where-” Lien Jin huffed as she ran through the streets, her eyes darting around the ground, “where could it be?!”
Worried, the maiden clutched her chest as she stopped to take a breather, fishing through her memories to remember where she had been yesterday in an attempt to retrace her steps. She had lost an item so precious to her that it made tears well up in her clear eyes in a way that would bewitch a lesser man and bring forth a feral maternal instinct on older women.
Even her head felt lighter without the wonderful hairpin that her beloved Childe had gifted her some time ago. She wore the twin pins every single day without fault, to the point that she felt incomplete without the set of them.
Yet, how could she have lost one of them?! Worse yet, it took her a full night to notice it was gone? How did she even go to bed last night after taking off the single hairpin and not noticing that its twin had been lost during the previous day?
What if she couldn’t find it anymore? Childe told her it was a one of a kind set from Mingxing Jewelry! It was such a wonderful, thoughtful and very expensive present… How could she have done it to something so precious her beloved had given her? She had to find it!
Panting, Lien Jin shook her head to clear away the dreadful thoughts and bit her shaking lip.
“Huh? Lumine, Lumine, look! That girl there seems like she’s in trouble, let’s check it out!” A childish, cheery voice chirped from nearby, making Lien Jin lift her gaze towards it.
Blinking, Lien Jin made eye contact with a fairy-like little girl clad in white, who pulled a blonde young woman by the arm. “Um-”
“Are you alright?” The girl called Lumine approached carefully, reaching to her pocket to fetch a handkerchief. “You’re crying.”
“Ah, I’m, oh… What do I do…” Faced with such unexpected kindness, Lien Jin felt her tears pour faster than before, unknowingly accepting Lumine’s handkerchief and sobbing into it.
“Oh, what to do; what can Paimon do…” The little fairy floated around the two of them, her forehead scrunched in worry. “It’s gonna be okay, lady! Let Paimon and Lumine help you, we’re good at that!”
Lumine narrowed her eyes at her emergency food before going back to the crying girl, patting her shoulder in a soothing way. “Although she’s quick to jump to conclusions, Paimon’s right. We’ll try our best to help you, if you’ll have us.”
“T-truly?” Lien Jin raised her adorably red and teary gaze to the two strangers, touched for having received such unwarranted kindness just when she was feeling the most helpless. “I-I wouldn’t want to impose…”
Paimon puffed her chest with pride. “No worries! We can handle it!” She giggled, floating around Lien Jin in an attempt to make her laugh.
Lumine nodded to Paimon’s statement and squeezed her hand on Lien Jin’s shoulder. “What’s happened?”
Lien Jin hiccuped once before patting the handkerchief on her cheeks and eyes to dry the overflowing tears, her nose still a bit stuffy from the sudden cry. “A-actually, I lost something really important to me, it was…” She reached out to the lone hairpin on her head, adorning one of the twin buns she usually wore, “it was a hairpin that pairs with this one. My lover gave them to me when we had our anniversary, so it’s something really, really important to me… I don’t even know how I could’ve lost it; I always keep it so close-”
“HEY! You two!! What’re you doing to my little sister?!” A sudden yell startled the trio into looking at the alley they were right in front of.
“W-waah?!” Paimon flew behind Lumine by reflex, wide-eyed at the approaching woman.
“B-big sister Huifen?” Lien Jin stopped crying immediately, widening her eyes in surprise.
Seeing the helpless Lien Jin crying into a handkerchief while being amidst two strangers only made Huifen inflate with anger.
“What do you two weirdos want with my sister? Shoo, away with you!” Huifen clapped and shooed the two away before taking Lien Jin’s hand. “Are you okay, Lien Jin? You know how your fans are, so it’s better if we bolt from here!” She huffed before pulling her sister back into the alley, completely missing the entire point.
“W-wait, big sister!” Helpless, Lien Jin could only stutter and look back at the confused duo. “M-my hairpin!” She reached out to the now farther away Paimon and tears sprung back into her eyes, delivering a fatal blow to the tiny girl.
“Weirdo? Look who’s talking!” Paimon puffed her chubby cheeks and crossed her arms before immediately flying in front of Lumine with a teary-eyed expression. “We gotta look for her hairpin, Lumine! We gotta! Look how much she was crying- Yikes, she left with your handkerchief…”
Lumine crossed her arms and switched her weight into one leg. “Do you even remember what the hairpin looks like?”
“O-of course, don’t doubt Paimon’s memory! It looks liiiike this!” She took a piece of paper out of their spatial pocket and drew a perfect depiction of Lien Jin’s pin. “Hehehe!”
“Ohh, okay, that’ll make looking for it much easier. We can find her again later when we have the hairpin.”
“Yup, yup! Paimon thinks she saw that girl somewhere… But Paimon can’t quite put her finger into it… Oh, well! Let’s look for the hairpin first, Lumine! We can’t keep a girl crying like that!”
“True, she looked so distressed.” Lumine bobbed her head to the sides as she started to move through the alley Lien Jin and Huifen had just disappeared into, figuring that it could also be there since it was a route they took to go back.
“I wonder who’s her loverperson? She must really love them for her to be THAT sad about it!” Paimon floated on her back as though swimming leisurely through Luhua Pool.
Shrugging, the Traveler focused her eyes on the ground. “You can ask when we meet her again.”
“Mhm, mhm!” Paimon nodded enthusiastically. She loved to learn new things! especially if it had to do with people’s lives.
From alleys to busy streets; from tall buildings to forgotten underground passageways; from the port to the entrance of the city… Paimon and Lumine looked everywhere. It was even harder to look for something they only knew the shape of without knowing the person’s circumstances, likes or where they had been on the day they lost it, so the duo had to comb through so much information it made them dizzy.
Paimon complained of hunger one hour after their search started, then again two hours after, then another two hours after -- to the point that their day was basically eating and searching for the hairpin in their spare time. Regardless, Lumine was already used to her ever-hungry guide, so she didn’t pay it any mind, especially considering the weirdness of the search request.
They were stumped, there was no way around it.
At that same time, Lien Jin finally managed to speak after being dragged all the way back home by Huifen. “Big sister! They weren’t my fans!” She huffed with the door closed behind her.
“Honestly, what if I hadn’t found you? You must remember to at least bring Brother Aiguo with- wait, what did you say?”
Lien Jin pouted her flushed cheeks, tears springing back into her eyes. “As I said, they weren’t my fans and they weren’t bothering me…” she sniffled. “They offered to help me look for the hairpin I lost… Now I don’t even know if they’re going to look for it or not…”
Huifen blinked, staring at her little sister with surprise. “But how was I supposed to know?! That girl was maiming you and you were crying! Don’t blame your big sister for this, okay? You know how we’re all worried about you.”
“I know,” Lien Jin sniffled, using the handkerchief to dry her tears. “Thank you so much for worrying about me, big sister, but I really need to get back to looking…”
Huifen scratched the back of her neck and sighed. “Okay, I’ll call brother Aiguo; today’s his day to be with you and we can’t always expect the strangers will be so sweet like those two from before.”
“Mhm,” Lien Jin nodded, then finally noticed the thing with which she was drying her tears. “Oh no! I took that poor girl’s handkerchief…! I hope we can meet again soon so I can give it back!”
“There’s a good girl. Wait here, I’ll be right back.” Huifen patted Lien Jin’s head before heading inside to call for their brother.
Once alone, Lien Jin reached for the pin on her hair, carefully tracing it with her fingertips. “I hope we can find your sibling, too…”
Once Aiguo arrived, he and Lien Jin set out to look for her hairpin, though there wasn’t much they could do as the hours passed and the streets got more and more packed -- it wouldn’t do to walk with Lien Jin through such a crowd, so they ultimately had to give up and return home. Not to mention that although today wasn’t a performance day for Lien Jin, she still had her daily practice to do, which she never missed for anything in the world.
Well, she usually practiced at dawn until breakfast, but her whole schedule got jumbled up due to the missing hairpin, so she only managed to start practicing de facto after eating with her siblings.
By then, her focus was completely elsewhere, so she couldn’t be proud of the progress (if any) she had made with her steps; besides, no one who accompanied her blamed the poor girl for it. She was barely holding back her tears as it was -- if someone just as much called her out for something, they were afraid she would break down.
The anxious siblings decided to pair up and search town while Lien Jin couldn’t go out, promising her that they would find clues about it even if they had to turn Liyue upside down!
… Or so they would, but the moment they set foot outside the theater, they ran into Lumine and Paimon, who had tracked Lien Jin’s location down.
“Ya think this is the right place, Lumine? They don’t look anything like that pretty girl…” Paimon whispered to the traveler. They had heard that the entire troupe was composed by siblings, so they figured that at least they would have some resemblance, but those brothers… well, the less said about them, the better.
Lumine chose to ignore Paimon and turned to one of the brothers. “Someone from this house asked us for help in looking for a hairpin-”
“Oh! You’re the strangers Lien Jin mentioned!” One of them cut off, “wait here, I’ll get her!”
“-and we- oh, okay.” Lumine lowered her lifted hand, shutting her mouth as the other brothers scurried away to look for the pin, seeing as there was nothing in the traveler’s hands; not to mention the drawing the floating girl held.
Not a minute later, Lien Jin ran to the door, her big, innocent eyes making Paimon cover her face from the sheer radiance.
“You found me! Oh, thank goodness. I didn’t know what I would do if I never found you again…” Lien Jin pouted, then shook her head. “I just washed your handkerchief, so I was going to look for you later when it dried.”
“That’s alright, now that we know of each other, you’ll know where to find me.” Lumine shook her head.
“Wait, wait! She can’t find us if she doesn't know our names, right?” Paimon flew in between the two. “So! Paimon’s name is Paimon and this is Lumine!”
Giggling, Lien Jin bowed. “Thank you for helping me earlier. My name is Lien Jin and I’m a dancer at this theater.”
“Nice to meet you, Lien Jin.” Lumine nodded before shifting her gaze awkwardly. “Actually, there’s no need to thank us, since we didn’t do anything. We couldn’t find your hairpin, so we decided to come here and ask you more questions about it.”
Paimon floated from Lien Jin to Lumine. “Yup, yup. Paimon’s memory is amazing, but I can’t remember things I don’t know!” She shoved the drawing in Lien Jin’s face, then smirked evilly from behind it. “SO! First question: who’s your loverperson who gave you the hairpin?”
Lumine closed her eyes awkwardly, pulling Paimon’s scarf to take her away from the bewildered girl. “Hey, that’s not a necessary information-”
Before she could even finish her scolding, a familiar set of steps stopped a few ways behind them.
“Huh? Traveler? What’re you doing all the way over here?” Childe asked with genuine curiosity.
“Childe! You here to help us find Little Doe’s hairpin?” Paimon inquisitively flew towards the ginger man.
“Little Doe…?” He asked with a smirk in his voice that also grew in his lips, raising his gaze to Lien Jin.
The moment their eyes met, Lien Jin flinched, clutching her chest with guilt. “Childe, I- the hairpin you gave me-”
“Huh- what-” Paimon froze in place the moment the words were out of Lien Jin’s lips, momentarily forgetting how to float as she slowly sunk to the ground. “Childe here is-”
Ignoring the blabbering tiny girl, Childe walked up the steps to the door, rummaging inside his pocket as he did so. “Don’t worry, ‘Little Doe’.” He whispered as he got closer, taking Lien Jin’s hand and placing something inside of it. “I had it with me the whole time.”
Lien Jin blinked at the gorgeous hairpin in her hand, which seemed to sparkle even more than usual. “B-but, when? I don’t remember…”
“It’s true that you had dropped it, but I found it close to my place after walking you back home.” Childe explained, softly taking the pin from her hand and carefully pinning it on her hair, opposite to where its sibling sat.
“O-oh…” Lien Jin looked up as though she could see the hairpin in its rightful place, emotion bubbling in her chest. “Oh, I’m so glad… I’m so glad!” She sniffled, resting her forehead on Childe’s chest as the energy left her body.
“There, there, Doe.” Childe whispered. “Why don’t we go somewhere quiet, just the two of us? Paimon’s gaze is burning a hole in my back right now, so I can’t even focus on hugging you.” He teased in a voice loud enough that the duo behind them could hear as well.
Lumine cleared her throat as though she wasn’t being talked to while Paimon blinked and pointed at them.
“Wait, wait, Paimon’s never heard of this! Since when do you have such a cute lovergirl, Childe?! She’s wasted on you!”
“Paimon, she found her hairpin, so we should get going.” Lumine pulled the tiny girl by her scarf, receiving a lot of high-pitched squeaking in return.
Childe winked at Lumine once they made eye contact, earning a thumbs-up from the traveler as she turned on her heel and left.
“Haha, they’re always so interesting to be around.” Childe snorted at the duo before turning back to his lover with a warm gaze. “Now, where were we?”
Lien Jin opened her mouth to reply, but the one who spoke was someone behind her. “... Leaving, I hope.”
“B-big sister Huifen!” Lien Jin turned around, completely beet-red. “I, um, we were-”
Childe smile and gave a nod in Huifen’s way before slipping one hand into Lien Jin’s. “We have your sister’s blessing, so c’mon, let’s get out before your brothers see us.”
Blinking, Lien Jin looked from her sister to her lover before smiling shyly and nodding, letting him whisk her away into the day -- to their unexpected, but very much welcome, date.
To think that Lien Jin had been feeling anxious just a few minutes previous… How Childe was able to calm her down and flip her emotions to this extent always surprised her, but in the most wonderful of senses.
Squeezing Childe’s hand, Lien Jin allowed her lover to take her away to the unknown, feeling ever so safe within his warmth.

I saw your headcanons for Madame Lan and I totally love them. Could you do the same but with Ouyang Zizhen's family? I always imagine them as a large family with a lot of children and various wives. Thank you in advance.
Ok, first thing, thanks for the ask! It has made me very excited and I hope you like it because it is the first one I have to answer :3 So... I've been looking for information about marriages in Ancient China because I don't want to screw it up and I've seen that although polygamy was allowed, it was only allowed in the upper-middle classes (because they had to be able to maintain them and so) and that it consisted of a first wife and the rest concubines (who could rise in rank to wives if they were mothers of heirs and the first wife died, or if the first wife died and the man decided to marry one of them). I don’t know if there would be more wives, but with this information and the “big family vibes” that I have from the rereading of a saga... This has come out xD (If you want something more, please, feel free to ask)
The leader of the Ouyang Sect married a woman in his youth with whom, no matter how hard he tried, he could’t have children in theory. Seeing that he could run out of heirs to continue his bloodline, legacy and inherit his surname and sect, he took a concubine from whom were born two girls and a boy (Zizhen).
Four years after Zizhen was born, the concubine passes away and the first wife takes care of them as if they were her own children, despite the fact that she later manages to get pregnant with two girls.
Zizhen, although he is the son of a concubine, is the only male in the line of succession and has priority over the girls.
Zizhen's father decides to take another concubine so he will be able to secure the line with some other male child in case something bad happens to his first-born Zizhen, and from that union were born two boys and a girl. The concubine ends up dying during the delivery of the third child due to complications and bleeding that they (the doctors) weren’t able to control.
Two years later, the firs wife died of an illness and he, to strengthen an alliance with the Yao Sect, took as his wife the niece of his friend's wife, who gave him two more daughters and, finally, another son.
I leave here a small list of the children with the ages according to the year in which the "present" of the novel takes place (I have the headcanon that Zizhen is 16 years old):
First daughter of the 1st concubine, 22 years old.
Second daughter of the 1st concubine, 19 years old.
First son of the 1st concubine, 16 years old (Zizhen).
Third daughter of the 1st wife, 11 years old.
Fourth daughter of the 1st wife, 10 years old.
Second son of the 2nd concubine, 7 years old.
Fifth daughter of the 2nd concubine, 6 years old.
Third son of the 2nd concubine, 4 years old.
Sixth daughter of the 2nd wife, 2 years old.
Seventh daughter of the 2nd wife, 2 years old.
Fourth son of the 2nd wife, 5 months old.
And, going back to the headcanons:
Zizhen, being the heir, grew up with a lot of responsibilities and having to be perfect. And at first, he was, but, as he got older, he grew up admiring his two older sisters, who have a fairly high level of cultivation and don't care too much about social conventions (unfortunately for their father who can't manage marry them!).
His older sisters, seeing how sensitive he was to what was expected of a man, encouraged him to follow the path of the arts, buying him books of poetry and romance novels to increase his knowledge. They encouraged him to paint or learn an instrument as well, but it's not something he is particularly good at so... better not.
Zizhen adores his older sisters and, when they are at home (since they take the opportunity to travel quite often so they haven’t to hear their father telling them about marriage), he can be seen following them around the gardens like a duckling (which both sisters find adorable and annoys their father because that’s not the way of behave of an heir).
But, in addition, he has had to take care of his little brothers with whom he doesn’t mind playing. If he has to get down on the ground to chase beetles or ants or make mud cakes, then he will get down on the ground and that's it.
And he doesn't find them annoying (as other people may think), but rather loves that the house is so full of life. He loves his brothers very much (he would give his life for them) and on more than one occasion he has come out to defend them in front of his father (who tells him that he is a shameless boy who does nothing more than reply in bad manners to his elders - bless his rebel phase-).
If any of the little ones do something mischievous (especially his seven-year-old brother and six-year-old sister), he will cover them without a second thought (even if he was the objetive of the jokes).
His four-year-old little brother and the two-year-old twins take advantage of his kindness and manipulate him into giving them candy, even though they have been forbidden to eat sweets before dinner. But Zizhen always has a large supply of candy (which he learned to have from his older sisters).
His eleven and ten year old sisters are the most difficult to deal with because they think they are older and try to flirt with the other disciples (much to the amusement of the two older sisters). Zizhen has caught them on more than one occasion putting on makeup so much that they could pass for ghosts.
With the mothers of his siblings: the first wife, the second concubine and the second wife, he always maintained a good relationship and the women didn’t hesitate to mold him into what they believed to be an educated and pleasant young cultivator (they took as an example Lan Xichen xD), cultivating his sensitivity and his kindness (neither of them wanted Zizhen to look like his father).
In resume: they are quite a noisy family, but a really loving one. Zizhen is delighted to have so many siblings because they make his life happy and take a lot of weight off of his duties as the future leader of the sect, but also because being so many and having such different personalities, he has learned to mediate and get people to get along (something that later he uses with Jin Ling and company).
And speaking of Jin Ling, the first time he went to visit the Ouyang sect with his uncle Jiang Cheng, and saw such a pack of kids, he sticked Zizhen like a gum so they couldn't do anything to him. He completely failed because: the eleven and ten year old sisters tried to flirt with him while the seven and six year olds put a snake on his bed that night and the four and two year olds hung on his arms asking for candy. The only one he found “adorable” was the youngest five-month-old, at least until he drool all over his cheek thinking it was something yummy.
Extra: "What did you think of my siblings?" asked Zizhen with a big smile on his lips. "Noisy." "Mm... I think they are lovely." Jin Ling rolled his eyes. "If you like beasts." Zizhen made as he hasn’t heard him. "And my older sisters?" “Your what?” “My older sisters” “Exactly... How many siblings do you say you have?” Zizhen’s smile only grew more. “I have seven sisters and three brothers. Why?" "Because... Nothing…"
Needless to say, Jin Ling blushed violently when he saw Zizhen's older sisters return from training like they were goddess. Both women burst out laughing and soon cooed him exclaiming that he was adorable. "This has never happened," said Jin Ling fighting with the blush on his cheeks. "I won’t tell a soul, A-Ling" "OUYANG ZIZHEN!"

So in a fit of brilliance I’ve decided the two posts tagged ‘coffee date au’ are set in the same universe where Lan Xichen and Nie Mingjue agree to go on a date (they’re college buddies) but then suddenly they both show up slightly panicked and with a kid each (LXC doesn’t have a mom, and their dad is really agoraphobic since she died, and uncle is teaching a class rn, but NMJ still can’t convince his dad he should get a nanny for the kid and he’s having flashbacks to all the dangerous shit he chewed on as a kid and all the knives A-Sang could get his sticky hands on in their house, he swears he’s babyproofed like ten times now) and now it’s fate. Absolute love at first date and even if they break up they know damn well they’re gonna be sticking together for the sake of giving these kids some ounce of stability in their lives, and it’s actually kinda nice.
Anyways. One day when the kids are like six they meet Meng Yao, currently picking up like two kids from the daycare center (twins, his youngest siblings, now MXY cause he’s not born yet, but he’ll show up later) and they’re calling him brother and he’s fussing over them like a parent and then he looks at LXC and NMJ and they’re all ‘oh no he’s cute’ and invite a very stressed out looking Meng Yao (he has like twice as many classes as any sane person and he’s passing all of them with very high grades but he hasn’t slept in a while) to their weekly cafe date where they go to a nice little cafe off campus and buy a stupid amount of coffee and then spend the day playing with the kids cause LXC and NMJ never got played with as kids either, and MY isn’t really sure how to turn them down (they fukin hawt but also he’s on a scholarship and has basically no money that’s not going to keep the kids fed and clothed and he’s not really willing to spend it on frivolous things like dates) so he reluctantly ends up going, and it’s nice and they’re both basically rich boys who don’t make him pay and the kids make friends.
By the time they meet Jiang Chang and Wei Wuxian, the boys are both 10 and now Meng Yao is juggling two seven year olds and a one year old infant and tbh it’s actually Jin Zixuan who tracks him down when he finds out his father has been apparently dumping his bastard children on his first bastard son and Meng Yao looks TERRIFIED because he’s always been threatened that he’s not allowed to talk to his fathers only legitimate son and that if he does his father will cut off all contact entirely but leave him with the kids. Jin Guangshan has been keeping a tight leash on his finances, paying for his housing and stuff and food for the kids, but even then it’s barely enough and his boyfriends know that any sort of date or fun activity needs to be paid for by them or he can’t go at all because their father is terrible and just wants to abuse a poor kid who just made the mistake of agreeing to give his half siblings a better life.
Anyways. LXC and NMJ aren’t there yet or they likely would have threatened (lol LXC can’t threaten, he might try to deescalate the situation tho) Jin Zixuan, but they’re still not to the cafe yet and Meng Yao was in the middle of giving Mo Xuanyu a bottle and he’s basically stuck there, and he’s tired and the espresso hasn’t kicked in yet and JZX is saying something but MY isn’t paying attention.
Until the cafe doors open and two arguing ten year olds come barreling through, arguing about Pokémon or something and pulling each other’s hair. And JZX just sorta. Sighs.
He turns around to look at the kids with a disapproving frown. ‘A-Cheng, don’t pull A-Ying’s hair. Where did your sister get off to?’
Obviously, their older sister, JZX’s fiancé, was supposed to be keeping an eye on her terrible two, but A-Ying said she found a pretty hair pin in the store down the street and they got bored waiting for her and the shop owner scolded them for touching things, but then A-Cheng said A-Ying was the one touching stuff!! And now they’re arguing and pulling hair again and JZX has to get up and gently lead them both over to the table by the hand, getting them both settled down and asking what they want to drink.
This is so fucking surreal, Meng Yao almost forgets he has a fussy baby in his arms demanding attention until a slobbery little hand smacks him in the face and he goes back to gentle cooing at the little thing while giving him his bottle.
‘Oh! Is that A-Yu? Zi-gege said we were looking for A-Yu today! Can we play with him?’
Meng Yao isn’t sure what to do as the kids devolve from questions into arguing again. The twins are giving them funny looks, and since the boys were lead to the table, have finally abanonded their pretty drawings (they were drawing Yao-gege and also ErGe and DaGe too but they hadn’t gotten around to A-Zhan and A-Sang yet) to come back over to the table with Meng Yao and their new baby brother.
The two terrors stop arguing. A-Ying looks excitable. ‘I’m A-Ying! This is A-Cheng! Who are you?’
The twins look up at Meng Yao nervously, and he smiles at them gently, not knowing what else to do here.
Is Jin Zixuan here to take Xuanyu with him? He really hopes not. He isn’t sure what he and the girls would do to lose their new little brother. Things were tight around the house, just barely getting by with what they had, but Yao couldn’t lose him.
The first little girl, closest to Yao’s hand holding the bottle smiles. ‘I’m A-Ju, and this is my sister, A-Su.’
Su was a confident little one, but she had Yao’s tendency to watch people too critically before attempting to say anything. Ju tended to be more open.
JZX comes back and stands behind the boys after he’s given them a couple sandwiches and milky tea, and just stares at the two girls that he hadn’t realized were with Meng Yao, and his features went from hopeful to dashed quite fast.
The door to the cafe opened up and Meng Yao looked up to see NMJ and LXC coming in with a new woman that he didn’t recognize, but the boys across from him got excited to see immediately, shouting out for their jiejie. Meng Yao just sat back, feeling a little sick, entirely unsure what to do now.
The kids are playing together. A-Zhan is staring at A-Ying in a way that suggests he can’t figure the boy out, and A-Ying won’t stop poking at him like he’s some sort of toy. A-Zhan, for his favor, seems content to let him. A-Sang, as usual, abandoned all of them to draw with the twins.
Admittedly, Meng Yao might have been holding the baby a little bit tight when he finally agreed to go to a private table with JZX, but he hadn’t really calmed down from the request until JZX said NMJ could come with, and it takes a gentle hand putting pressure on his neck until he lets up the tense way he’s holding little Xuanyu at Mingjue’s guidance.
He can’t do this. They can’t do this. He’s had Xuanyu for almost six months now, he’s /bonded/ with the little termite. He’s watched the baby’s first steps, holding onto the couch as he tried to climb up to be with his sisters. He’s cut back on work hours.
Their father suggested he cut back on work all together. That comment had solidified it for Meng Yao in a way that nothing ever did before. Their father wanted him truly captive and reliant on his benevolence.
Zixuan, for his part, looks genuinely sorry. ‘I never came here to worry you. I don’t know what you /think/ I’m here for, but I promise I have only the best intentions, and I don’t want to take Xuanyu away.’
Meng Yao goes even more tense if possible, and his voice is shaking. ‘Don’t... don’t /want/. Do you /intend/?’
Zixuan makes a horrified little noise, shaking his head. ‘No no no, of course not. Not that either I promise.’
Meng Yao nearly sagged in place, tiredly turning the fussing child in his arms so he could gently bounce him, letting Xuanyu hold onto his thumb while Meng Yao forced himself to relax.
Zixuan sounded so desperately sad when he spoke again, and Yao could see tears in his eyes. ‘I’m... I’m so sorry he did this to you. I didn’t even know about the girls till they showed up.’
Meng Yao nodded a little, unsure what to say beyond a shrug. ‘If I had been less young, less naive, maybe I wouldn’t have so eagerly agreed just so he would have a reason to stay in my life. That doesn’t mean I won’t do whatever I have to to keep them.’
Zixuan nodded. ‘Of course, I would never want to do that. Listen, I didn’t know about the girls, or even if you wanted to keep Xuanyu, so I didn’t bring the paperwork with me, but I do know a way to get you out of all of... /this/.’
Meng Yao’s brows furrowed. ‘This?’
Xuanyu nodded slowly. ‘Father still pays for everything for you. Apartment, utilities, bills, all that goes through him. I, as his heir, have access to all those records. It’s supposed to be mother’s job, but she refuses to touch anything that has to do with fathers... illegitimate kids.’
Meng Yao doesn’t think he’s ever met someone who would talk so frankly about all this. It was oddly refreshing. Even NMJ and LXC didn’t want to admit their father had dug him a financial grave and was slowly burying him alive with the kids.
He frowned. ‘I can’t even move in with Mingjue or Xichen because he’s a raging homophobe who thinks I’ll corrupt the kids that he cares so little for he doesn’t even properly give us enough to survive off of.’
Zixuan looked honestly distressed at that. ‘Oh. Fuck that’s worse than I hoped for. I’m so sorry.’
Meng Yao sighed, moving to look out the window. He shrugged. ‘It’s not like I’m /forbidden/ from having a job. It’s just harder with three kids. Mingjue and Xichen have been helping out for years, he just doesn’t know it because he doesn’t realize that banks aren’t the only way to keep track of finances now days.’
Mingjue tolled his eyes, his thumb moving gently against Meng Yao’s neck. ‘It’s like the old man doesn’t even realize PayPal exists.’
Zixuan snorted. ‘He really doesn’t. That takes care of half of what I’m here for. Even if he was giving you enough that you didn’t have to worry about food or bills, I would still be here to give you the access info to an account I set up for you last week. When the papers are signed, the only thing anyone but you will be able to do is put in the money. No one but you can close the account or take anything out.’
Meng Yao looked at him in shock. ‘Why would you do that?’
Zixuan made a stressed out angry noise, nose wrinkling in the same way Yao’s did when he was mad. ‘Because, I’ve seen his finances. What he’s giving you barely counts as pocket change to his bloated rich ass. I could drop a five million on you right now to ask you to move away and never come back and he wouldn’t even /notice/ because that’s how little that amount would be to him. He wouldn’t even realize you four had left until he realized he couldn’t find any of you.’
Meng Yao considered it for a moment. ‘Why /dont/ you do that?’
Zixuan’s expression was pure distaste. ‘Because I don’t have any reason whatsoever to hate any of you. I feel terrible that you made the mistake of being fathers newest whipping dog, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to pity you. You’re in a bad position, and I’m here to help you out of it. But I’m also not going to leave you without financial support. You may want to keep the kids, but these weren’t your mistakes to begin with, and father has been punishing you for years for it.’
Mingjue snorted, sitting back with his arms crossed. ‘You really don’t like your dad, do you kid?’
Zixuan shook his head. ‘Not particularly, no. Other than the bank account, I can convince father to give over full custody of the kids to you. No possible way to get any of them back.’
Meng Yao blinked at his half brother, sitting up straighter again, looking at him in shock. ‘How would you do that?’
Zixuan shrugs. ‘He’s not the only manipulative one in the family. I could get him to panic and drop custody entirely.’
And so that’s the story about how Meng Yao had a coffeeshop romance and also ended up with some kids out of it. Later on he and Mingjue and Xichen all move in together in a huge new house with all the kids and they’re. Happy.

Greek Mythology!au Character List
Reader, Daughter of Athena
Like your mother, you were just as headstrong and courageous. Although being the daughter of the Goddess of Wisdom which meant having her intelligence, you sure did have your moments. Along with your great strategic skills, you were also very competitive. Especially with your twin. Your twin brother, Jungkook, was your partner in crime and best friend, however, you two could get very competitive with one another and your friends would be the ones to pacify the situation.
Jin, Son of Aphrodite
Jin, the heartthrob of school. Of course, with the exquisite looks from his mother, he gained all the attention from school. His charming nature sure made him woo all the girls, and by him being your friend, they became even more envious of you than ever. He was the one to talk to about self confidence issues and you couldn’t count the number of conversations about skin-care products you two shared.
Yoongi, Son of Hades
Because he was the son of the ruler of the literal underworld, Yoongi did have a gloomy aura that surrounded him. Yet, you always managed to squeeze that shimmer of joy out of him in the form of gummy smiles and enthusiastic conversations every once in a while. He’s the one you had serious conversations with and he was definitely the one you complained to about the other boys.
Hoseok: Son of Hermes
Like his father, Hoseok loved the idea of traveling and learning about concepts learned only elsewhere. He was the one who spoke to you so profoundly about the world outside your town and you knew he’d be the one to discover more than man could ever know. Hoseok was quite the clever one, and talked you into sneaking into libraries to ‘borrow’ books.
Namjoon: Son of Apollo
Namjoon was a man of many talents. For one, he was the one to break up and solve any issues within your friend group. Secondly, his truthful and trustworthy nature did benefit you when you were surrounded by six other–cough mischievous cough–boys. He was always the one to turn to when you were confused or stuck in a hard decision.
Jimin: Son of Poseidon
Jimin, your very first friend in high school. Not your first friend, no. Correction: the first one you made in high school. He was sitting on the edge of the pools, kicking his feet in the water. You instantly befriended him when your binder fell into the pool and with a touch of his hand, he absorbed the water soaking it. Like his father, he was moody by nature and under certain emotions, he’d give in and went straight to violence. You were often the one to calm him by bringing him to any body of water, allowing him time to think.
Taehyung: Son of Ares
Now, with Taehyung, there couldn’t have been a better example of a demigod being opposite to his or her parent. Although sharing the same qualities such as determination and fearlessness, personality wise, Taehyung was not like his father. Firstly, right next to Hoseok’s, his smile was one of the brightest sights your eyes have ever seen. Since knowing him at a young age, for your brother and him were best friends, meant the three of you certainly knew how to make mischief together.
Jungkook, Son of Athena
Being your brother, Jungkook sure liked to tease you. All the time. You two could be best friends one minute and the next, trying to strangle each other. You shared secrets no one else knew and others claimed you had twin telepathy, which wasn’t technically wrong. You always knew when Jungkook was in a mood, no matter how hard he tried to hide it. Yet, because of your sisterly nature, you saw through him and you’d be the one to cheer him up. And then you tease how as your job being the older sibling–by three minutes–you always would be the one he could turn to.
Hey! This is going to be a new series (I have so many coming up, you don’t even know) and I’m sooooo excited for it!
As for pairing, you won’t know until chapter one, which is coming very sooooon~ This is only a sneak peek at the boys’ backgrounds and personalities. Don’t worry, though! There’s plenty more of character development you’ll see within the chapters to come!

TumblrFrostbite's AU Question: Regarding your OTP (Josie and Kazuya)'s child, how similar and different from their parents would they be growing up?
OHMYGOSH I CAN’T BELIEVE PEOPLE ARE INDULGING ME INTO THIS CRACK SHIP RARE OTP OF MINEbhsdbj. You are heaven sent bruh
Also, this got a little too long so I’m sorry ;w; I just have these two’s story written out so much in my head that I can;t help but, explain in so much detail ;w;
Okai, so Josie and Kazuya getting married and having a kid is a BIG WHAT IF or just a heavily implied AU. Because seriously, we’re talking about Kazuya here. The dude with serious daddy issues, mommy issues, child abuse, and trust and abandonment issues. Hell, he is clearly a textbook sociopath from the books I read.
But, let’s say he’s just a really heavily scarred man that can stray away from his past issues and can actually break away from said textbook sociopath. I imagine some life-threatening event happened first to either him or Josie before they actually got married. He’d be all like, screw world domination and destruction, if he can have a chance of a happy life with Josie, then he’d try to change. If that thought seriously came to him tbh.
So, if this were going to happen, I imagine him and Josie having deep talks and months or even a year of planning first before even considering having a child at all. Kazuya would bring up the past a lot and the devil gene. He probably already has it ingrained in his skull that his family was always meant to betray and kill each other and that would be fine for him, if Josie wasn’t in the picture. I imagine Josie trying to soothe out Kazuya’s past traumas herself until they eventually come to a time where they have couple/marital consultation and family planning consultation. But of course, entirely private at the confines of their home and no, they will not talk about the devil gene with the therapist.
This was probably suggested by one of Josie’s friends or advisors of Kazuya. I imagine the dude actually having advisors or something. Although, they’re usually for business, but since Josie talks to them, they caught up on the problem and tried to help. (Besides, Josie helped them with Kazuya actually coming close to below average nice.)
So, after months or a year of planning and consultations you’d think Kazuya would be ready for that shit but, no. This would be one of those very rare moments where Kazuya would feel a mixture of nervousness and joy and fear all at the same time.
In my head filled with fanfiction stories, I headcanon them having 3 kids, 2 boys and a girl. (PS: This fanfiction will never be written because not only do I not have the time for it but, I also know nobody would be interested enough to read it lol)
Their first child was a boy, which is why Kazuya was also reminded by Jin. Their first kid looks nothing like Jin(except maybe for the eyebrows), most of the baby’s features leaned towards Josie, even the skin colour and hair. So, he cried because he has mix feelings of wanting to protect the child but, also being heavily worried because what if this child would grow up to be just like him and Jin?
Kazuya is strict, more strict than, Josie could ever be. Having grown up from a traditional family of “Are you worthy enough to carry the name Mishima?”, all of those expectations and not to mention his own molded personality of being cruel; he has a hard time knowing which is punishment for the child and which is being a cruel father like Heihachi was to him.
Josie agreed on their child learning the Mishima fighting style as long as the kid also gets to learn Arnis and Yaw-Yan. Their children’s fighting style is a mixture of those two. Josie is your strict Asian mother that’s like “Your grades and all this blah blah blah must be high”, although she’s just a model and professional kickboxer, I imagine she’s also a college graduate with a degree somewhere in the field of medicine or engineer. She takes studies and extra-curricular activities very seriously and is always on full-on support to whatever her child loves to do.
But, she can also be a very doting mother who’s easy to give in to her child’s wants. But, It’s something like a reward system of “If you finish your homework then yes, we can go to Disneyland afterwards.” type of thing. Josie quite easily fit into the rick lifestyle since her family was already above middle-class before marrying Kazuya. Also, how she raises her children is exactly the same as to how she was raised, only with more expensive tastes.
Kazuya never realizes or most of the time doesn’t realize when he’s being too harsh and pushing their Mishima heir too hard. The kid would be in tears and he’d only think of it as “Inheriting the cry baby trait from his mother.” thought.
Him and Josie would have constant fights about how Kazuya is traumatizing their child. Kazuya tries to listen of course but, he always gives the rebuttal of “How can he be a Mishima if he can’t do this and that” kind of thing or “If he doesn’t become strong enough, his devil will consume him!” and the only way for him actually see that he’s in the wrong is when Josie tells him that he’s turning into his father. Kazuya would never want to be like Heihachi so, they make up with that and more therapy for Kazuya ensues.
Kazuya only got to be really close with their kid when Joshua (Yep,their kid’s name. Something like Joshua or Junichirou because it’s a Mishima thing to be named after their mother) was around 5 years old. Yes, they had their playdates together and Kazuya wanted to be home more often because he wants to see his family (But also protect Josie and see if the kid’s devil gene would active early)
Josie always explains to their kid how Kazuya is a good man and he just has a hard time understanding others so she asks for their child to be more understanding of his father. Joshua always tries to win his father’s favor by training hard, doing good academically, and trying to be an affectionate son by giving letters, handmade gifts, and cooking with his mother. More often than, not Joshua breaks down from pressure and high expectations from both of his parents. They’re both very demanding so, I imagine Joshua getting a therapist even at a young age.
That and also because I love the headcanon from Kazuyagoddamnmishima that the devil gene gives you chronic nightmares. Kazuya is used to it, but ever since he and Josie got together, they’ve lessened. He can’t teach his son how he coped with them so, they brought him to a therapist instead. Even though, Joshua hasn’t activated his devil gene yet, the nightmares still happen because of the pressure and expectations. They all stay up together to keep Joshua company (Kazuya is quite reluctant at first but, eventually gives in and it becomes a family routine to sleep together from time to time)
On the less angsty side of this though, is that Kazuya and Joshua play baseball together and bond over their shared loved of collecting sneakers. Their love for sneakers got them to spend more time together; shopping for sneakers all over the world. Kazuya had already forgotten how fun it was to actually not think about anything and just enjoy being a sneaker head with his son.
Their favourite family trips would have to be either playing baseball or basktetball (Josie kinda pushed for it because it’s a well loved sport in the Philippines and Joshua likes it too) or going to beaches. They make sure to always visit the beaches in the Philippines so their kid could also spend some time with his grandparents.
Also, Kazuya buying every game console known to mankind and inviting the Rizal family over to Japan so the relative’s kids could play with Joshua. That or they bring everything to the Philippines and it somehow worked out with them renting a whole hotel because their stuff could not fit inside the Rizal family home.
When Kazuya’s defenses against Joshua eventually crumbled down, they decided to have another since Joshua was already 5 or 6 and Josie really wanted a new baby, especially a girl.
They had twins. Kazumi is older by 2 minutes to Alfonso (named after Josie’s grandfather). Josie gets to name their children because Kazuya isn’t good with them in a sense that he feels uncomfortable with it. Joshua only got the second name Junichirou because he’s going to inherit the Mishima Zaibatsu one day. He’s happy with the Filipino names though and there was a time where they thought using real Filipino names (because most are either Spanish or Ameircan names in the Philippines) but, they decided not to do so because family tradition. They both come from families where you hand down an old family name to the children or well, in Kazuya’s side the feminine or masculine version of the grandparent’s names.
Kazumi looks like Kazuya, hence she looks a lot like her grandmother Kazumi Mishima. The only thing she inherited from Josie is her wavy hair, almost morena skin colour and short stature (both Joshua and Kazumi are on the rather short side. 5′5/5′6 and 5′3 respectively) whilst Alfonso is a mixture both of his parents, Kazuya’s hair and eyes, Josie’s eyebrows and nose, Kazuya’s lips, Josie’s cheekbones, and out of all the siblings he has the lightest skin colour. Alfonso stands about 5′9 to 6′0.
When Kazumi and Alfonso were born that was the moment Kazuya felt like a real father whom was protective and would do anything for his family. Kazumi was like a precious little treasure to him and was pretty much at shock for the feelings of becoming a father to a daughter.
When the twins were born Kazuya started to really drill into Joshua about the family and inheritance. He trains both Joshua and Alfonso hard and when it comes to Kazumi, he doesn’t realize how soft he becomes until Kazumi herself points it out to him.
Out of all the siblings, Kazumi inherited Kazuya’s rather dark and stoic personality. Although, Alfonso has that scary unapproachable aura to him, people should be more afraid of Kazumi. She’s as cruel, unforgiving, and sadistic as her father(Josie eventually soothes it down from her). Joshua and Alfonso are the softy cry babies that are more like, Josie(They grow out of it unlike, Josie though. But, they have what we call Pusong Mamon-literal translation sponge cake heart, where you’re a cinnamonroll softy that cries even at the smallest saddest things and love helping people out like a saint-). And yes, they all inherited Kazuya’s sense of humor. Very dark.
All in all, the Rizal-Mishima family is a cute coping family that goes on routinely scheduled therapy. Except for Kazumi, nobody knows how she can keep herself normal with the nightmares. There is a small fear in Kazuya that she’d end up like her grandmother but, they all pray it won’t happen. But, it just so happens that there is a strong personality trait like that in the Hachijo clan that Kazumi inherited.
They’re all Roman Catholic btw, the kids and Josie. Kazuya doesn’t believe in religion but, Josie does and that influenced their children and made them accept their devil gene a little more easier in a sense that they could use the power for good. Alfonso has yet, to active his devil gene till he reaches somewhere around 20. Joshua activated his when 13 and Kazumi 5.
