If Batman found a broken time travel device, re-made it, traveled through the time stream to a few minutes before his parents were murdered, stopped Chill from killing them by violently punching the thug, but not killing him, went back to the time stream before he vanishes and ended up in a different present time line than the one he'd existed in (with another Bruce there), what would the Dark Knight do next? Btw, this scenario takes place shortly after his first outing as the Bat.
In general? He'd probably just watch over the city or change his name or something, maybe even try to find a way back to his own timeline.
My man most likely goes full stalker mode on his own family - he keeps the Batman identity, still watching over the city and seeing how things are different because he fucked up time like a dummy and now has to see just how bad the damage is, but when he realizes there's another version of himself and his parents are alive still he gets obsessed with just watching them from a distance. He basically stalks them 24/7, following them around from a far distance and just staring like a weirdo.
-----
As for this AU? He sees how the city has changed, sees the things that are different and what is the same. He sees how he himself has changed. This time, he doesn't stalk his family like a freak because he knows they aren't his. But he does know what is his - his rogues gallery. He hunts them down one by one, seeing what and who they are in this timeline and how their lives are because there is no Batman in this world. Most of them are the same as they were in his time before he stepped in, but some are very different, in both good and bad ways.
Most shockingly: Joker, who is just regular old Jack Napier here. He never fell into the acid, never became Joker, never lost himself. He never became Batman's greatest failure. And the idea of that is something Batman obsesses over - he needs to see what Joker was, who he was. He needs to see what life was like before. Batman has never been able to figure Joker out, the guy has always been a mystery, so now that there was a chance to really solve that case Batman wasn't going to just turn it down.
So, instead of stalking his own family, he stalks Joker (or, Jack Napier, really).
As he watches this poor guy he still tries to figure out how to get back to his own time. By the time he does, he's learned enough about all the rogues - Joker in particular - that he can't really look at them the same. Whenever he looks at them he sees what they could've been if he hadn't stepped in. The mantel of Batman is now stained by the perception of what could've been. He starts to see everything different; he starts to see things the way Joker would. "We're the same, Batsy, you and I. We both know what it's like to suffer, we both have the power to ruin this world, and we could if we really wanted to! But, we don't, because that'd ruin our fun. Our mistakes guide us in this never ending dance. Each turn and each twist. We both know what it's like to ruin. And, in truth, we find comfort in the ruin. We thrive off of it. Isn't that right, Batsy?" (Yeah, rambled coo-coo bullshit, but still somehow poetic I think.) He feels the need to give up the cowl, to start over.
I wanna say this leads to him taking a long look at himself and becoming a new man who is even more bent on saving these people, but we all know character development isn't Bruce Wayne's strong suit. Most likely he gives up and retires the cape and cowl, disbanding the Bat Family and leaving the Justice League, becoming a recluse in Wayne Manor that no one really knows the reason for.
The rogues run rampant on the city until they get bored. Some of them leave, some of them stay and turn to either smaller or larger lives of crime, and others do all they can to get Batman's attention - that's why they became villains, after all, what else do they have?
So, really, no happy endings for anyone! Yippee!

TumblrFrostbite: If the accident that turned Victor Stone into a cyborg never happened, would Vic Stone had someday made a name for himself as a professional athlete if he was picked up as a top eligible draft prospect first? Or would Vic's dream had came crashing down around him afterwards? Note: This alternate scenario could happen in any DC universe. ANY DC universe.
I think he would have been drafted and become a very successful professional football player. I'd like to think he'd eventually find a wife, have some kids, have a long successful career and most likely he'd coach his kids in pewee flag football once he retires from the league.

I could definitely see something like this unfolding and it wouldn't be that much of a stretch to have this happen in a canon-adjacent story.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This gets to be more about politics/very broad view than about ElenaxNaomi themselves haha just keep in mind that throughout all this we know they’re extremely close and completely adorable together!
The ‘official’ relationship would only happen much later but the foundation -or tension- is always there. It’s tricky for Elena since one of the duties of a sovereign is to produce a heir.
When Naomi figures out she cares for Elena as more than just a friend she would normally have been more forward about it. She’s not embarrassed about her feelings the way she would be for Mateo (she doesn’t like developing feelings for him because it feels stereotypical and expected and she hates being ‘that kind of girl’). With Elena the controversy of both being women would actually make her more bold, if it wasn’t for the fact that she’d watch Gabe repeatedly make a fool of himself over the years*. It’s not that she’s afraid of rejection, but it put into perspective how political any relationship with Elena is. She decides the best thing to do is to just remain a loyal and supportive friend. She even casually attempts to date a few other men and women but ultimately finds herself dissatisfied.
Elena also tries to let herself be wooed by men whether it’s Mateo, Gabe, Alonso or someone else her Abuello invites to Avalor in an attempt to find a suitable match. She would even form a very close relationship with this person, which is why it’s so devastating for her when she accepts that it won’t work out. Several small things add up but mostly she’s just not attracted to men and it always feels like she’s denying a part of herself. Who’s there to comfort her after a tough break up? Naomi of course! They still don’t get together immediately, Elena’s having a pretty big crisis of conscience between her duties as Queen and her personal preferences.
Eventually it becomes clear that they are only interested in each other. They stop attempting to find other partners and settle into a quiet domesticity that isn’t exactly ‘official’ in a queendom-wide sense but is certainly known around the palace, particularly after Naomi moves in!
Once Francisco and Esteban have been convinced that it’s a good match which makes Elena happy and able to focus on her other duties as Queen they make it official and hold a tour of Avalor as a PR campaign for the new couple. There’s always dissenters who go on about tradition and heirs, people who don’t realize how much work Naomi does for the queendom, people who just don’t like monarchy etc. Basically the entire spectrum of opinions on the matter, but overall it goes quite well!
It’s actually Isabel who suggests adoption. Francisco and Esteban are not exactly for it, saying that succession should fall to Isabel’s children to preserve the bloodline. I’m not sure the circumstances -because there’s a trillion options- but they meet the orphans Maria and Josephine over the course of an adventure (or two) and Elena decides to take them in. Naomi wasn’t big on the idea of children at first but she falls for Maria and Josie and becomes a great mom!
*Naomi considers Gabe as making a fool of himself, everyone else has their own opinions :p he’s pretty embarrassed by it too in retrospect but it all worked out

If Archie's Sonic the Hedgehog was cancelled by issue fifty and was years later replaced by the Sonic X comic book before that too would be replaced by another Sonic comic title, that being the Sonic Boom comic, how different could the landscape of comicdom (comic fandom) be with Archie Sonic ending it's run in 1997? And what if the 48 page Sonic Super Specials were canned too back in '97?
Well, I'm not really a comic expert. So I'm afraid I can't offer much insight on this. Sorry.

DC AU Question: If Batman forbid Robin from ever seeing the (first incarnation of the) Teen Titans again or to even be a part of the team after his first adventure with the costumed teens and made the Boy Wonder devote his time to him and Gotham City during his teens until adulthood, would things turn out well for the Titans if Robin weren't with them for their other adventures? Note: This alternate scenario would take place during Dick's days as Robin and could also happen in any DC canon.
Inchresting [eats oatmeal] in my humble opinion, if you take into consideration the original teen titans were robin, aqualad and kid flash, methinks removing him form the equation would be dissolving the entire team because its not really a group if there's just 2 people, it's a pair. idk i think neither of them would be motivated to recruit other people the way robin would, but maybe im biased.
that said, if we're just gonna assume batsy pulled robin by the cape mid teen titans meeting, and the group would just lose robin, i think they'll be fine. i mean depending which version of the team you have, i think cyborg or aqualad could be the leader. they wouldnt helpless but ya know it would be apparent they're missing someone, especially if robin's already established a dynamic with them and stuff
kinda like if you take out batman from the jla, ofc they wouldnt be helpless but everyone would be aslkhasda ??? where's batman ??? i wish batman was here ))): and when he does make his dramatic return everyone's like 😫😫 finally

I could definitely see this happening and it actually would easily fit and connect with canon events...
Femslash Question: How would Elena x Naomi/Elenaomi/Elemi come to be a couple (if you could make it happen)?
I actually have a whole long story thought out for this which hopefully someday will be developed enough for me to write it.
But basically, Elena comes out (or people figure out her orientation on their own) about a year into the canon timeline.
She starts flirting with Naomi bc they’re good as best friends, why not as a couple? She’s very subtle about it at first and Naomi actually gets a bit flustered for a while before starting to flirt back.
They hang out more outside of the council and they go on picnics and cuddle/take siestas in the rooms throughout the castle. And it feels like they’re dating long before Elena actually officially asks Naomi out.
 TL;DR very gradually
Sorry if that’s kind of generic - I’d elaborate, but I don’t want to give too much away if I do make it a full story.
Let me know if you want to know more, though, and I’ll try to oblige!

If Jason Todd had to take over as Batman for a year or two while Bruce Wayne was under investigation for some major crimes he didn't do and er, Ric Grayson was unavailable, how well would Todd do as the Dark Knight in fighting crime, saving lives and cooking up plans...without killing anyone? Also, how much time would Gordon and the rest of the GCPD put in on proving Wayne's innocence? Note: This "replacement Batman" scenario could happen in ANY DC universe.
Scenario 1: Impersonation
(This would happen if Bruce was out-of-commission/framed and need a sub for a few months.)
- Jason wears Bruce’s bat suit with minimal changes.
- Jason trys to imitate Bruce’s fighting to his best ability. Obviously no killing.
- He doesn’t have his guns, however, he did electrify the bats suit symbol.
- Bruce is be hovering liked crazy (to his best ability)
Scenario 2: Jason’s own Batman
(This would happen if Bruce Retired/Died and Dick would be unavailable.)
- Jason kills the Joker as the Red Hood.
- He then fakes the Red Hood’s death.
- He creates his own bat suit, which would be loaded to the brim with weapons.
- Jason ditches his guns because it would link him to the Red Hood.
- He precedes to become the new Batman.
- However, he would not kill as Batman, In fact his last kill in relation to Gotham would be the Joker.
- Overall Jason would be a good Batman and would tend to focus on the more impoverished sides of Gotham.
- His Batman is known to be more violent, however is more effective than Bruce when it comes to gangs. (This is because Jason knows the inner workings of gangs after being a crime lord.)
- Jason has a no robin policy, he refuses to have any more kids put on the field.
- He sometimes leads the Justice League, but only during would ending threats, otherwise he lets them fend for themselves.
- Jason would kill during Justice League missions, however it would only be the biggest of the bads.

What would happen if Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, Ultron and The Vision have always exist in the DCEU alongside characters such as Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman? For that matter, what would happen if Black Panther as well as any and all the BP cast of characters do too?
I feel like the Justice League would try to recruit all of them. Wonder Woman and Scarlet Witch would be great friends and Vision would get along with Superman. Quicksilver would be an honorary member of the Flash family and they would race to see who is faster all the time! Black Panther would also be on very good terms with Wonder Woman and Aquaman due to them being royalty in the Justice League and having to represent their people. Batman would be cautious around them a lot, but learn to trust them a lot. These people are surprisingly loyal. He will still find their weaknesses for safety reasons still.
As for Ultron, he would team up with Brainiac on occasion to make things harder for this Justice League. They would be able to make mechanical soldiers like crazy! Though with all the force of the Justice League, they will find a way to win.

@frostbite883
I think he absolutely could, with one caveat—if he wanted to. A lot of recent DC writers have been writing Jason as someone with less experience, someone who relies mostly on brute force, or someone who's just plain incompetent when next to Bruce (or another Bat), when that contradicts a lot of the earlier canon. Jason’s had just as much if not more diversified training than the other former Robins (see Red Hood Lost Days), he exercised a terrifying level of meticulous planning when he returned as the Red Hood (staying several steps ahead of Bruce up until their final confrontation), and he was a formidable opponent against Dick in Morrison's run as well. Jason doesn't rely on lethal force because he has to, he does it because he thinks it's the more effective solution. So do I think he could stand in as Batman? Yes. With the right motivation and in the hands of the right writer, he absolutely could.
As for Gordon or the GCPD... I guess it would depend on the crime. Given Gordon's relationship with Bruce he'd ensure the detectives did their due diligence, but he would have to appear impartial. Ultimately I suppose it would be the job of Bruce’s army of multi-million dollar lawyers to argue his innocence in the court of law.

Aquaman AU Question: What would happen if Orin was born with brown hair instead of blonde hair (Atlanteans for a long time had been superstitious towards blonde haired Atlantean babies no thanks to Kordax who they saw as deformed and would abandoned the infants on the ocean floor) and was born and raised in Atlantis alongside his mother Atlanna the queen of the kingdom? Note: This scenario is based on the Aquaman story, "Aquaman: Time and Tide".
Perhaps might be raised to learn to hate/fear surface dwellers?

DC/Marvel Question: If King T'Challa and Ra's al Ghul had formed an alliance with each other to maintain peace between their kingdoms by way of the latter marrying the former's daughter, Talia, could life go well for both rulers (as well as the rest of the planet as Ra's vowed to never try and commit any evil acts towards any nation again to further strengthen the peaceful alliance)?
Note: This scenario would take place in a universe where the Batman and Black Panther characters co-exist with each other. Also, the whole thing would happen during T'Challa's the first few years as the Black Panther and before Ra's and Talia knew about Batman.
Now I still need to read the comics and really get in the the unversive of it all but this is very interesting! Although the name Ra's al Ghul sounds very familiar! I remember his character in Arrow.
