Marvel/Moon Knight questions I have

Thor: Love and Thunder established that gods from all different cultures and pantheons exist, even when x god is the same as y god, (such as Aphrodite is the Greek version of Venus, Mars is Ares, Eros is Cupid)

When Thor bestowed his powers amongst the Asgardian children to defeat ugly Batman, did they become his avatars temporarily?

Why can Thor be seen by humans, but Khonshu and Ammit can't (excluding their avatars)?

Can gods from other pantheons have avatars?

And yes this was inspired by me playing Mario Kart on the Athens map and thinking, "aw it would be nice to go to Greece on holiday with Steven and visit all the old temples and structures WAIT A MINUTE imagine if you were Aphrodite's avatar lololol"

thoughts on secret invasion (spoilers!)

just finished watching the first episode. I still think Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is the best MCU show and was a lot clearer in its premise. Also, each of the seasons clearly connected in spite of having different plots, unlike the current MCU run. I get that Marvel is setting up for a lot of things, but I can't help but think that, like other reviewers of AOS, the AOS family is actually a family compared to the Avengers. Or maybe I cannot compare the two because AOS is "not canon anymore" (it is canon to me).

I wish the first episode gave more answers as to why Fury was in space and why Talos was in Spiderman FFH, but I guess that will come up later. Also, Maria Hill deserves better. I like the dynamic between Fury, Hill, and Talos. Unfortunately, my favorite part ended up being the soundtrack.

may I present to you: the entire Lord of the Rings Trilogy AND the Hobbit any sports anime (Kuroko, Haikyu!!). any shounen anime (Naruto, Hunter x Hunter) Avatar the Last Airbender Sherlock Holmes in practically all iterations including House Stark Trek Star Wars Stargate Stranger Things Scrubs perhaps any t.v. show beginning with the letter S Community Friends HIMYM Big Bang Theory most sitcoms at this point I guess 9-1-1 B99 any cop show basically basically 90% of television Many YA books. Any classical novel from before women were considered people. I ALMOST FORGOT 90% of all MCEU & DCEU. Please remember that non-canonical gay relationships that are popular in fan spaces are NOT in fact the mainstream interpretation of that media, which still emphasizes the glory of male friendships, fraternity, comradery, bros before hos and that a small group on the internet that writes gay fanfic or draws gay art is not influencing millions upon millions of people that some people seem to be under the assumption it is. also, do not do homophobes jobs for you by reiterating this moral-panic argument about the loss of male friendships and think you need to apologize for liking non-canonical gay ships. you aren't "ruining" the relationship or taking anything away from straight men, I promise you.

Still so disappointed that Noah wasn’t chosen to be Wiccan in the MCEU. No offense to Joe L/ocke but come on, Noah is absolutely perfect for the character AND he’s actually Jewish.

as somebody who was really into heartstopper at the time and was involved in that fandom, let me say that noah as wiccan was never going to happen. i remember the time when they were casting for that role and first, noah wasn’t publicly out yet so that means he wouldn’t have been taken into consideration in the first place because marvel made a big emphasis on looking for out queer actors for this role and second, they didn’t even bother to look for a jewish actor so being jewish wouldn’t have given him an advantage in the process anyway.

i read the casting call at the time and it was literally something like “male lead. must be this age range. this character is a gay teen with a wicked sense of humor. we encourage lgbt+ actors to audition”. i’m paraphrasing it but what i’m saying here is that it’s marvel’s fault, not joe’s that they didn’t bother to look for a jewish actor to accurately portray wiccan which is ridiculous considering disney’s usual calls for diversity. the audition process took around 6 months and they kept the identity of the character secret from joe for most of the process. he found out later in the process who he was going to play so that means he might’ve found out way later that it was a jewish character.

honestly if you asked me, knowing joe, who is young gay actor which is something that already puts him at a disadvantage in the industry and the fact, he already spent months auditioning and is just starting his career, i really can’t blame him for taking the role. i honestly blame marvel, it’s such a shame that they didn’t consider wiccan’s jewishness as an important part of the character that needed to be played by an actual jewish actor just like they thought (correctly) that he needed to be played by a queer man when as far as i know, wiccan being jewish is also a big part of his character. i know for a fact that there are scenes in the show that have billy taking part in jewish traditions because i remember what was going on when joe was filming and i’ve seen some bts pictures.

now let’s go back to why noah wouldn’t have got the role anyway. i already mentioned it but he wasn’t out or even thinking about coming out back then. he was also just starting college so he wasn’t auditioning for anything at the time either. there’s also some other parts of the character that he wouldn’t have been able to play. agatha all along is some sort of a musical in certain parts if you didn’t know so the wiccan actor must’ve been able to sing and we know noah can’t sing, he’s said so many times so that already takes him out of the running for wiccan. there’s also the fact that maybe noah, if he was out at the time, wouldn’t have wanted to play another gay character right away to avoid being typecasted. what i mean with this is that i don’t understand why there’s this feeling of noah being left out when he didn’t even want it in the first place. i’m sure he’ll have a chance to be in great projects later on but wiccan was never meant to be him. btw this is not a dig at you because i totally understand where you’re coming from, it would’ve been such a great role for him but he wasn’t chosen because he didn’t want it, somebody else who actually wanted it, got the role.

Continuation of a "Supergirl" story (series now titled "El Mayarah: A Supercorp Saga") that began with my previous work "Five Years ≤ Two and a Half Weeks" and continuing with "Jahremie". Relative to the previous story, "Jahremie", Part Three picks up the very next day.

Reading "Five Years ≤ Two and a Half Weeks" and "Jahremie" is recommended. But if you don't, know: 1.a. Kara and Lena are engaged, 1.b. The difference in their life spans (Kara living hundred of years) is a Continuing Issue, 2. Alex is a *recovering* alcoholic, 3.a. Cat KNOWS things which shouldn't be humanly possible to know, from some kind of incident with the time-stream, 3.b. Cat has been taking Brainy's Legion Time-Ship (with her assistant of questionable existence, Samantha Arias), but the Super Friends don't know to what end, 3. Kara has been given a week off by Cat, to go to Argo (remnant Krypton), with Lena, to seek Permission&Blessing for the Sacred Bonds (an exalted form of Kryptonian marriage---to which no Kryptonian has ever made with a non-Kryptonian), and 5. Lena has been gifted with a supernatural Kryptonian gift, 'The Words at the Time', which Lena can't talk about with Kara or any other Kryptonian: it might fry their brains.
