But yea lets talk about Ksu, because its the most disigenuous ship of the entire new gen out done ONLY by KawaAda, which is purely out of hatred for Kawaki but we'll just talk about Ksu for now.

Ksu was seen coming a mile away as soon as it was revealed she would be his caretaker, hell just from the leaks dropping of that panel of her tending to him with Katasuke we already knew the agenda was gonna start, why? not because of the usual ppl shipping things as soon as theres interaction but because they saw a perfect opportunity to keep Kawaki and Sumire away from BoruSara, it worked out perfectly because they get to kill two birds with one stone, keep Sumire away from Boruto and Kawaki away from Sarada, and what better way to do that than to shove them together? it was so obvious.

Lemme tell you I watched in REAL TIME an instagram acc that made OCs of the new gens kids and one was an KawaHima child alongside BoruSara, but as SOON as that panel dropped all the content with the KawaHima kid disappeared and all of a sudden was replaced with a KawaSumi kid instead. It was so so obvious what the agenda was and I can tell you as an eye witness just how fake they all are when it comes to Kawaki ships that they try to pretend is 'genuine' when its really playing keep away.

I saw in real time ppl start shipping MitsuSumi to keep Sumire away from Boruto, but when their interactions became scarce and they saw Kawaki building somewhat of a bond with Hima they jumped ship to KawaHima instead to keep him away from Sarada, but when their relationship became heavily sibling like they got quiet but still lowkey pushed it until they saw that panel of Kawaki and Sumire and thats when they finally found the perfect keep away ship that gets rid of them both at the same time and they've been clingin to that ship with their lives ever since because for once FINALLY they found a keep away ship that has a decent amount of interactions to 'possibly' have a chance unlike the others.

But dont get it twisted because they dont have total faith in KawaSumi either, the reason being because they themselves know that when girls fall inlove in the Narutoverse they STAY inlove and dont move on, and because Sumire loves Boruto they know odds are she'll keep being an obstacle for BoruSara, thats where KawaAda comes in, because since Sumire isnt a 100% garuntee to keep Kawaki away their backup plan is Ada who actually DOES like him and isnt movin on anytime soon.

So on the 50/50 chance Sumire doesnt move on to Kawaki, they have Ada to fall back on atleast to remove Kawaki.

They have tried to lie about these facts whenever anyone called them out on it and claimed 'oh its not keep away ships we just can see the obvious endgame ships being set up unlike yall' and of course their usual deflection 'yall only ship KawaSara because you hate Boruto' which is really just projecting because they only ship KawaSumi/KawaAda because they hate Kawaki, some Sumire too, but they claim its the other way around to try to take the spotlight off of them because they KNOW their the ones really hate shipping.

Lets not forget how they play down Sumire's feelings as 'just a crush' but paint Sarada's as 'true love' even though only one of them have confirmed romantic feelings and it isnt Sarada, Sumire's love is described with the same kanji as Sakura's for Sasuke, and unless you gonna try and argue Sakura's feelings were also just a crush then your either in denial or just a complete dumbass.

People WANT her feelings to be just a crush because then they can push the agenda that she'll move on like Ino, who was the only girl who actually only had a crush on Sasuke and not actual love and had feelings for another guy as well. However ALL the girls who loved ONE guy and ONLY one guy and were NEVER shown to have feelings or interest in anyone else all stayed devoted to the ONE man they loved whether their feelings were returned or not or even if they died, they STAYED inlove with that one man and one man only.

This is why they need to deny Sumire's feelings so hard because its the only way to keep their ship safe, because acknowledging her feelings are genuine and real means she's never movin on which is what they want and what they NEED to feel secure in their shit ship that they fear to death of having any competition because despite being 5+ years, 200+ episodes, and 85+ chapters in they STILL havent gotten ANY confirmation of romantic feelings on either side and that scared tf outta them.

Meanwhile Sumire's feelings are crystal clear and reinforced multiple times to everyone who matters, Sarada, Kawaki, Katasuke, and Amado, all people a part of Boruto and Kawaki's inner circle. The fact that Sarada and Kawaki knows this really gets under their skin because that adds less of a possibility of either of them making a move, Kawaki doesnt care one way or another but even if there were a chance he'd consider it Sumire already killed it before it even had a chance to start which from then on made Kawaki not even think of it because he knows she likes Boruto, it'd be pointless to even look at her that way since he knows she'll never want him anyway and is literally only around him just to hear more about Boruto anyway which is an even bigger turn off from the idea, not that he ever considered it in the first place, but if he WERE to possibly consider it she nipped it in the bud before it could even happen by admitting to him right away that she liked Boruto.

As for Sarada shes even LESS likely to make any moves because Sumire is her friend, she came to her as a friend and asked her how she felt about Boruto and Sarada told her she didnt like him that way which is when Sumire felt comfortable telling Sarada about her feelings then since she wasnt a threat, so how grimey would it be for Sarada to be revealed to have lied when Sumire was trying to be open and honest with her as a friend, Sarada lies to her while secretly liking Boruto behind her back, and even worse, she continues getting closer and closer to him right infront of her face? and now even hugging him infront of her knowing how much shes loved and missed Boruto too? it'd be just like Kishimoto said about Sakura in the Pain arc, that if she suddenly fell for Naruto now after he became the hero of the village she'd look like a terrible woman.

Well the same applies to Sarada, for her to have lied and pretended not to like Boruto all this time after Sumire trusted her to of told her the truth, only to then stab her in the back by still getting closer and closer to him and then rubbing it in her face hugging him infront of her and being hugged back, and to add extra salt to the wound SHES the only one who gets credit for saving and remembering him because Boruto never knew Sumire was unaffected and on his side too, is nothing short of scummy.

Im not saying the hug is romantic or that Sumire is petty enough to be upset over a friend hugging her friend she aint seen in 3 years, Im talking about the PERCEPTION of it. Like Sakura could very well have moved on to Naruto after the Pain arc, especially with the events that happened at the 5 kage summit it would've been more than justified for her to give up on Sasuke and love the guy thats always been there for her since day one and loved her sincerely, but the PERCEPTION looks terrible because like I said she only loved him after he became a hero and then to make matters worse she completely gave up on Sasuke who she swore to help save and to have loved sincerely yet now she moves onto Naruto just cuz hes nice to her and Sasuke isnt, and the biggest issue being she KNOWS Hinata is inlove with Naruto since day one, thats her friend, so it would be beyond despicable for her to just step on Hinata and only think about herself.

Well the same applies to Sarada here, there isnt anything inherently wrong with her liking Boruto and trying to be with him despite Sumire also liking him but its the HOW thats grimey. If Sarada was upfront with Sumire when she asked and said yea I like Boruto and then Sumire was like ok well I like him too so lets both do our best and no hard feelings, then it wouldnt be an issue cuz their both on the same page and support eachother.

But that is not what happened, what happened is, lets for arguments sake say Sarada does love him, then she blatantly lied to Sumire and never told her the truth after learning how she felt, she kept her feelings secret from her which alone is foul play, but she doesnt even try to help or support Sumire in her feelings for him which yea she isnt obligated to do but again her keeping her feelings secret and then not even supporting Sumire just looks hella grimey like she doesnt want them to get closer and is glad shes the one who gets to spend the most time with him having the advantage over her.

To make it even uglier all their interactions up till that point take on a whole new shady meaning if you look at it with the assumption that Sarada loves him and lied to Sumire about it. Her running off to save Boruto because she 'cant stand back and do nothing' comes off like a sly jab at Sumire for being logical and staying behind, like 'you dont care for him like I do'.

Another scene that has an ugly meaning now is when she asks her dad to save Boruto, she takes in ALL this info from Sumire and yet doesnt relay any of it to Sasuke or mentions Sumire to him, she makes it seem as if this is all her figuring out and that he should 'just trust her' and save him, it literally wouldnt have taken up any extra time for her to say that Sumire thinks Ada caused some huge mass brainwashing to make Boruto everyones target instead of Kawaki, but now it just looks like she wanted all the credit for herself and purposefully left Sumire out.

Then comes the timeskip and its revealed that Sarada has just been bitching at Shikamaru and co for these past 3 years straight, 'fighting' for Borutos innocence and even comparing herself to Naruto who she couldnt be further from btw, the audacity to even compare her and Boruto with the Naruto and Sasuke situation is laughable. But whats ugly about this is that she's acting like 'ugh why wont anyone believe me?' and Sumire is just forced to be the level headed one and supress her feelings because Sarada can only think to talk about hers, so far we only see Sumire reaching out to HER more so than Sarada consulting her about anything.

Sumire is the one who plays along with Ada when Sarada nearly blows their cover being so insistent, and Sumire is the one who questions Amado to guage just how much he knows and reports to Sarada what she learned, but you dont see that same teamwork given back from Sarada.

Again none of this is inherently bad on its own, but if your gonna argue Sarada has been inlove with Boruto this whole time and has been lying to Sumire about it, then it makes all these scenes ugly because Sumire trusts her entirely and has been open and honest with her while Sarada has been deceitful. Sumire has been fighting just as hard for Boruto in her own way but from the looks of it only Sarada is gonna get credit for it given how Shikamaru overheard what Amado said and is probably thinking about how Sarada has been saying the same for 3 years straight.

That is just plain shitty and unfair to Sumire's character and all her efforts over the years as well, just because she remained calm and level headed doesnt mean she didnt care about Boruto just as much, and it danm sure doesnt mean she shouldnt get credit just because she hasnt been pointlessly screaming the same things over and over for 3 years straight and instead opted to do something productive instead, yet the only one who will get any credit for Boruto starting to be believed is gonna be Sarada, the same way only Sarada got thanked for saving his life even though she never would've budged if not for Sumire pushing her to act.

But thankfully Sarada isnt that kind of grimey character so none of that ugliness applies to her, so like I said, Sarada knowing about Sumire's feelings makes Sarada even MORE unlikely to consider a relationship because thats her friend who trusted her to be telling the truth, so how grimey would it be for her to still make moves knowing how Sumire feels? Sarada is a good person like her mother, she would NEVER see her friend truly inlove with someone and pursue them anyway behind their back, thats just not who they are.

This is why Kawaki and Sarada knowing Sumire's feelings scares them to death because they know that makes it less likely for them to stand in her way, Kawaki has 0 self worth already so theres no way he would try to snag a girl from his brother when he doesnt even feel he deserves love in the first place and places Boruto on a way higher pedastal than himself so he'd never try to interfere in his romance. Sarada is good friends with Sumire so she'd never lie and go behind her back knowing how she feels about Boruto, Sarada would sooner sacrifice her own feelings than to hurt Sumire like that when she sees how much she truly loves him.

The part that scares them the most about this is that Kawaki doesnt have this same knowledge about Sarada, unlike Sumire who he does know likes Boruto, Kawaki has never noticed any signs of Sarada liking him so from his perspective the two of them are just friends/teammates, which is a huge problem for KawaSara antis because theres nothing holding them back from developing romantic feelings for eachother like there is for Sumire. From Kawaki's perspective Sarada doesnt have anyone she likes, so theres no reason for him to stop himself from falling for her, same way from Sarada's perspective Kawaki doesnt have anyone he likes either, so theres no reason for her to hold back developing feelings for him either. That fact scares them more than you'll ever know cuz they'll never say it but they dont have to, their actions and arguments speak for themselves.

This applies to Boruto too btw, because by him not knowing anyone elses feelings and having no confirmed feelings of his own yet, that leaves him open for anyone atp, as long as hes unaware of anyones feelings then theres nothing holding him back from falling for either girl or someone else entirely.

This is why they NEED Sumire to move on, its the only way they can truly feel safe from any threat she could possibly pose, especially since after chapter 5 Boruto is finally about to find out Sumire is unaffected too and theres no telling how their reunions gonna go which probably has them on edge too not knowing how Boruto is going to react to knowing shes been on his side too all this time.

What scared them even more is that we still dont know how her relationship with Kawaki is atp, they were hoping that Sumire 'pretended' to like Kawaki all this time to keep them being unaffected a secret, but once it was revealed Sarada and Sumire did NOT keep their cover now their just hoping that the two of them got closer over the years as shes been taking care of him this whole time even tho Kawaki only sees her at the lab for a quick routine checkup and then leaves immediately because he cant stand Amado, Sumire never once has gone after or approach Kawaki outside of the lab so why would that change now? especially knowing what hes done to Boruto? but they NEED that to be the case so they can continue to push the 'Kawaki treats her better than any other girl' agenda and that they had positive 'development' while KawaSara's is negative and that Boruto and Sumire dont interact enough for there to really be a bond, even though NH only had 38 pages of interaction, SaiIno only had 2 interactions/moments in the entire manga, and ChoKarui had 0, this is the most laziest and desperate argument they use against BoruSumi as if ships havent happened with far less in this series, now all of a sudden Boruto has 'standards' and only goes with the ships with the most interactions rather than the ships with actual romantic development and confirmation.

BoruSara and KawaSumi are blatantly and completely platonic, there is nothing romantic from either side for either ship, period, ship bait scenes like Sumire, Ada, and Mitsuki asking Sarada how she feels about Boruto is not confirmation if she seriously denies it or doesnt respond at all, its not the same as Kawaki asking Sumire how she feels about Boruto and Sumire confirming she infact does, there is absolutely NO reason for Sarada to be asked 3 times and not a single one does she admit that yea she likes him. It doesnt matter if her and Sumire are both confirmed to like Boruto because its still up to Boruto in the end who he chooses, it doesnt ruin the suspense because the same was done with Sakura and Karin and NOTHING changed because it was up to SASUKE who he chose to be with in the end. So there is literally NO excuse for why Sarada's feelings havent been confirmed in 85+ chapters yet UNLESS she just doesnt have feelings for him, point blank.

So yea bottom like KawaSumi is a disgusting pathetic excuse for a keep away ship that thrives purely off headcanon rather than actual canon material. Just because she's his caretaker doesnt mean shes gonna develop feelings for him, nor that the two are gonna develop a bond, their relationship is purely business as Kawaki stated himself that he doesnt care how she feels as long as she does her job and refers to her as Katasuke's assistant. People make a big deal about him being the only one to call her by name despite it literally making no sense for him to call her anything else because she was never his class rep, so its stupid to even use that as some sort of proof of closeness or whatever.

Im not acknowledging those terrible contradicting Ksu episodes because they completely contradict the manga entirely and its been more than proven atp that not everything in the anime is canon despite the lie that was told in the beginning, just take Sarada being a chunin with 2 tomoe for example while shes a genin with 3 tomoe in the manga since the Boro fight and now an MS. The fact that Ikemoto kept up with the anime every week yet only ever acknowledged Sumire and the mist arc says all you need to know about these so called 'anime canon' episodes.

There was a whole Mitsuki arc about Boruto and Sarada finding out he was a clone while in the manga Mitsuki just made an comment on it to Katasuke and thats how Boruto and Sarada found out, same goes for Kawaki being made an official genin and gone on several missions while in the manga Kawaki never became an official ninja, there are so many instances where the anime blatantly contradicts the manga that theres no way you can consider them both canon in its entirety.

If Ikemoto wanted to reference anything from the anime he would have like his did Sumire and the mist arc, and yet theres been radio silence for anything anime only related since then unless you wanna count Code's hair being red and Mugino getting more development in the anime so his death would have more weight, neither of which was any groundbreaking inclusions, not even getting more context on how Ao survived really mattered because the guy literally dies in the exact same arc hes revealed to be alive in so who gives af? why did we need context for him and some rando Mugino only introduced to die in that very same arc? what did we gain from that? nothing. The 'How you use it' lesson was already being taught through Katasuke and co, Ao was not needed for that lesson to be learned and if he was removed nothing would change, and Mugino in both the anime and manga really had no substantial impact other than some temporary sad feels and then moved on like he never existed, him having added 'depth' when he was doomed to die early on and forgotten was a complete and utter waste of time that again if you removed him nothing would change because nothing really came from his death or his inclusion.

So yea I dont count the entire anime as canon because theres way too many contradictions, and even the few things they expand on doesnt really add much or was pointless anyway because it leads to nothing, its all in the moment and then forgotten about, its nothing like the land of waves arc with Zabuza and Haku who had a long term substantial impact on both the story and team 7, Ao was forgettable and pointless whose death had no meaning, same for Mugino, and Shojoji, all forgettable pointless villains from mediocre arcs with minimal to no substantial impact on any of the characters or story, the most you can argue Shojoji did was foreshadow Kara, which didnt need him anyway since we were shown Kara having a conversation anyway, that was the forshadowing right there. What did we really need the Mujina bandits for? just for Boruto to have a pitiful Naruto and Konohamaru rip off? which btw the whole thing with Tento also was completely pointless because best believe he is NEVER appearing in the story again.

I could go on and on but you get the point, the anime is a clown show 99% of the time so I dont take half these arcs seriously and I danm sure dont take those Ksu episodes seriously either because they contradict EVERYTHING that happened in the manga.

Naruto was the first person to care about and vouch for Kawaki, not Sumire, nor did he need anyone to 'beg' and 'convince' him to have mercy on him

Naruto was the first person to greet Kawaki when he was brought back to the village and assured him that he was safe, not Kawaki waking up alone in a locked room with his hands binded and being knocked out with gas when he tried to escape, he also wasnt shot with fire multiple times by the police force or nearly had his arm bit off by Nue who till this day has YET to make a single appearance in the manga but sure go off SP

Naruto [and Kurama] was the ones who opened up and related to Kawaki about Narutos past and compared Kawaki to Naruto, not Sumire with her 'Hes just like me' bs that couldnt be further from the truth and never once been stated in the manga

Kawaki's fear of needles was showcased when he ACTUALLY first interacted with Sumire at the hospital where he rejected it, he does not get over that fear until much later after the Isshiki fight and much development with Naruto and team 7, but in the anime Kawaki gets over his fear of needles the same episode he rejects it

In the manga Boruto was pissed at Kawaki because he broke Himas vase accidentally when trying to escape, in the anime Boruto is pissed at him because he attacked Sumire and then stupidly changed Kawaki breaking the vase from being accidental while trying to escape, to being him just lashing out and smashing the table cuz Boruto pissed him off. All cuz they didnt allow Naruto to assert dominance to get Kawaki to stop running away and instead just made Boruto needlessly hostile towards Kawaki over Sumire [which again never happened in the manga] and then Kawaki breaking the vase cuz he just lashed out in anger rather than him trying to escape like in the manga.

Nobody else besides KawaSumi shippers acknowledges those episodes for obvious reasons, but the hilarious part about it is that SP realized they fked up when they saw the manga didnt support anything they set up and went a completely opposite direction so they just pretended those episodes didnt even exist and never happened and didnt let them interact again until they began adapting actual manga content again, which is hilarious because I cant tell you how many Ksu fans were hypin up how Sumire and Kawaki were gonna have way more development and that this or that arc was gonna include her etc and nothing happened lol

These are just a handful of their foolishness but you get the point, none of this came to fruition like they thought it would and yet they were all so cocky and calling other fandoms with sense enough to see their relationship was never gonna be anything more than caretaker and patient ended up getting slapped in the face.

That stupid ending of Kawaki and Sumire standing near bamboo lead to nothing, it was just random shots like one of the replies said because believe it or not, not every anime opening/ending is symbolic of anything canon or gonna happen, just look at that one ice monster opening with the sand trio that NEVER happened. Some openings/endings really are just visuals and have no other meaning beyond that, the bamboo thing was one prime example of that.

People clung to that bamboo symbolism with their lives because of her name forgetting her name isnt even really Kakei, she changed it to go undercover to attack the leaf, her real name is Shigaraki which essentially means death but you'll never see them acknowledge that fact cuz it pokes a hole in their whole ridiculous theory

Like they are actually deadass about the name thing even though its never a canon thing thats brought up anywhere. Sumire's primary symbolism is the flower shes named after, violet, which in hanakotoba means 'sincerity' which is a clear reference to her character and her love for Boruto as being 'sincere', blowing their whole 'its just a crush' argument out of the water.

Then theres the ridiculousness of making the connection between Kawaki's name meaning dry and Sumires surname meaning bamboo shoot like whats used to carry water which is just...just so stupid for so many reasons because again, the connection between Sumire and bamboo is never even addressed in any canon material, not only that but if they want to make the connection then they need to not half step and tell the whole true about the ACTUAL symbolism of bamboo.

Long story short, literally the meaning of her name they cling to so much is about SUMIRE'S character, nothing to do with Kawaki, even its connection to Kaguya-hime is a reference to Sumire's Gozu tennou and Nue being connected to Kaguya. The bamboo is symbolic of strength, simplicity and prosperity all of which apply to Sumire's character, it also meaning loyalty and steadfastness is even more reference to her character and feelings for Boruto, she is loyal and steadfast, she is strong and not easily moved no matter the situation and is able to stay calm and firm like the bamboo root during an earthquake.

It also being symbolic of purity and innocence goes along with her first name meaning sincerity, Sumire is a pure and sincere person, as are her feelings for Boruto.

So if we gonna use name symbolism as evidence then lets use ALL of it not just the surface level bs like 'her name means bamboo shoot which holds water and Kawakis name means dry so that means Sumire is gonna be the water he needs to heal his heart' yatta yatta yatta nonsense.

They try to make everything about Sumire some hidden connection to Kawaki which literally no other fandoms do but Ksu and Bsa for obvious reasons. These people wont even let Sumire be her own character even down to her name which as I've pointed out, has nothing to do with Kawaki but everything to do with Sumire herself as a character. Even her job they said was for Kawaki rather than her own ambition/goal for herself, they tried to make it about her being there for Kawaki only for it to be revealed its cuz shes suspicious of Amado and wants to hear more about Boruto, but then they even tried to twist that and say she wasnt concerned about Boruto at all and just Kawaki, but then when she says herself that shes worried about them both they defaulted back to she'll move on from Boruto as she gets closer to Kawaki and that Kawaki is jealous of Sumire's feelings for Boruto which...was yet another stupid agenda of theirs they tried to push. Everything she does at the science department is for Kawaki, and her suspicion and fear of Amado is for Kawaki, shes not a scientist because of her own goals and ambitions, and shes not suspicious and confronting Amado because hes a threat to her village and clearly up to no good, no its all about Kawaki.

They want her to be Kawaki centric the same way they want Sarada to be Boruto centric, only unfortunately Sarada is being turned into just that but thankfully Sumire hasnt been reduced to that as of yet and has her priorities in the right place and zero interest in Kawaki. Even in the recent chapter shes asking Amado about Boruto trying to see if he's still Amados target and is shocked when he confesses that he knows somethings up with his memories and have set his sights back on Kawaki who is his real target. Her immediate response was to go tell Sarada that Amado is not another person who sees through omnipotence, not to go warn Kawaki that Amado is now plotting on him again and to be careful. No, her primary focus is on reporting to Sarada that Amado knows somethings up and is no longer targeting Boruto.

I dunno how clearer it needs to be made that Sumire does NOT give af about Kawaki like that and vice versa, Sumire treats Kawaki no different than she would anyone else, and Kawaki treats her no different than he treats Katasuke, shes just doing her job, no more no less.

Sorry for the long rant and tbh even with this being as long as it is I STILL have more I could say about this shit ship that its fans have the audacity to say KawaSara is dead yet KawaSumi isnt which is beyond hilarious when the girl cant even stop sweating and staring at Kawaki in fear ever since she learned he killed Boruto and hasnt thought about him at all since is laughable that ANY of them fit their mouths to call anyones ship dead when their ship dont even talk outside of occassional short lab visits, but these same ppl wanna talk about other ships lacking meaningful interactions. Gtf outta here man.

Anyway just wanna put it out here now to not go look for or harrass any of the ppl in these screenshots cuz that was not the point of me showing em, I only showed them to back up my claims about alot of the bs thats been said in defense of the ship, I do not condone harassing or going after ppl so I ask that everybody chill and leave them be.

blank period karin is one of the most interesting, complex versions of karin but there's a dearth of content that's dedicated to her in that era

a lot of the content ive seen that features blank period karin is like, sssk fic where she shows up to deliver the baby and is either like, mean or depressed about it, and maybe she and sakura have a moment and become besties, but usually she's there as set dressing, or to like, put the nail in the SK coffin

the creeping, gradual realization that sasuke is not coming back for team taka and will be settling/based out of konoha

generally, any sort of wrangling/reconciliation between sasuke and taka after the war when he's in his new and improved grown up state of mind. if not this, then dealing with the frustrating realization that sasuke will continue to associate with orochimaru and taka whenever he needs anything, while having no intent to maintain serious personal bonds with any of them

in relation to the above, karin havign to deal with the fact that she's probably the only member of taka who is bothered by this, since juugo tends to be passive, and suigetsu is independent enough that if sasuke is fine just being LDBs (long distance bros), he would be totally chill with that. karin!!! not so much

and like i said this would be stuff other than the sarada stuff, but like WHEN the sarada shit happens, how karin approaches the entire sarada situation, whether its like, instant love bc its sasukes kid, or something she needs to force, bc holy shit is that an emotionally complex situation, and holy shit does sasuke do her no favors by asking her to deliver his literal child

aside from the sasuke bullshit, i wanna see karin wrangle with log/mitsuki/other babies(???) being grown in the lab while having no blood family of her own while also being unlikely to ever have her own children

karin also wrangling with the fact that she's creating entire human beings, presumably so that they can be experimented on by orochimaru, which isnt new per se, but is new in the sense that shes now an adult who may or may not have more complex feelings towards helpless children (esp after sarada)

the fact that juugo apparently takes off from taka at some point, and karin and suigetsu either go separate ways or begin working in different hideouts

literally????? any kind of revelations regarding her heritage??? the fact that she busted out the chakra chains in the middle of the war in a very conspicuous moment?? shes a cousin of the future hokage???????? one of two uzumakis left in the world, and the only known pure blooded one, presumably?????????

also this is probably where karin experiments with The First Guy Who Is Not Sasuke, which either fails gloriously in a murder-tinted kinda way, or is wayyy too normal for her to ever be able to maintain it

ALSO i dont think theres a lot of fic that address the long term toll of karin using her healing bites, and it seems like young adulthood would be the time where any wonky shit would present itself

basically i think there should be more fic about how complex karin is in this era, how she tackles leaving behind the sasuke era of her life and forming an identity separate to that, to the extent that she may or may not try to, and she may or may not succeed

upon more reexamination of the naruto series, is sasuke and narutos outfits post timeskip. now, sasuke is unquestionably a fashion icon by comparison for starters and theres a pretty striking colour dichotomy between the two where kishimoto intentionally usese highly contrasting colours for their palettes, orange and black for naruto and purple and white for sasuke.

now to begin with, i first wanna also point out that sasuke and narutos pre timeskip colour associations are blue and orange, complimentary colours on the colour wheel, the go to basic bitches of colour composition that everyone uses because its effective. im definitely not an expert when it comes to explaining colour theory, but to keep it short they look good together well being opposites on the colour wheel. they also play into warm and cool colours orange being warm and blue being cool. this, thematically, all arguably works towards the main selling point of naruto: naruto and sasuke are opposites that need each other, naruto is warm and sunny sasuke is cool and shadowy. again, basic bitch shit thats still really important and helpful.

that brings us to shippudens purple and orange, which retains the warm cool dichotomy but seems to abandon the complimentary dichotomy colour schemes. now, i hold no doubt in my head that kishimoto was probably more so thinking about incorporating orochimaru and otogakures prominent purples into sasukes new colour scheme then what im about to mention, but the purple does fall into a palette trick as well. namely a colour triad, which picks three colours equally spaced between each other on the colour wheel. now obviously the problem arises that a colour triad is a trio of colours, and in purple and oranges case you need green to complete the triad. however, neither sasuke or naruto are wearing a full triad to begin with they just pull colours from the triad so i more so chalk it up as a happy coincidence on kishis part especially in light of konohas commonly associated colour being... green.

so, now that we have emphasized that shippuden naruto and sasukes primary colours in their associated colour palettes, lets get to the main colours i wanted to talk about in regards to each character.

did ya ever find it funny that sasuke, a character who seeks to tear the shinobi system down wears white a colour near universally associated with purity and goodness in some form or fashion, well naruto who seeks to preserve the shinobi system wears black a colour near universally associated with corruption and evilness in some form or fashion? did you also notice that sasuke come boruto changes his white to a black?

now, im not saying this was intentional on kishis part, because honestly his writing suggests otherwise. im just saying when the character that was once firmly positioned as a revolutionary of sorts to the shinobi system and prominently wears white, suddenly changes that white to a black after being beaten into submission by a character firmly positioned as an advocate and defender of that system who prominently wears black... there might be some visual symbolism/irony here thats being missed.

One of the Fandom takes that make me genuinely angry is the Sakura is weak and useless take that's literally everywhere.

Hinata barely fights yet no one argues that she's weak becuase we all know she's strong. She's a capable ninja.

But Sakura? Break mountains and throw trees Sakura? Sakura who can heal even the most deadly of wounds and cure impossibly complex poisons Sakura? Sakura who has shown time and time again that she's strong and capable, that Sakura? No, she's weak. She's trash. She's worst girl 0/10.

It makes me so angry becuase she's genuinely a great character once you push kishimotos sexist bullshit out of the way. "Why didn't Sakura have any more good fights?" I don't know why don't you ask 'I dont know how to write women' Kishimoto over there. Ask him why Tenten or Hinata or Ino didn't get more fights either.

To me the take that Sakura is weak and the worst is a vile take and it will never not fill me with visceral rage.

God, YES, it's fine to not really like Sakura for whatever reason (including "well, the things that make me like characters usually involve cool fights"), but these arguments trying to PROVE why she's useless to the story are like 90% misogyny. 7/10 for rancid (EDIT: lowered this because some people do act like this to justify Sakura being sexually assaulted or murdered in fics which uhh 10/10 rancid, don't do that, but most people are just writing her as a screechy child who needs to be taught to not be so girly, which is gross but not AS gross).

First, I will admit that I think it's fine to hold Sakura to different standards than the other female characters, because she's the Main Girl. She should be getting cool fights while side characters don't really need them. She should have wider audience appeal (just from a writing perspective) than the other girls because we spend more time with her. These are fine things to point out when discussing Sakura's writing.

But some people genuinely spend time and energy writing up lists of reasons why Sakura is objectively not just a bad character, but a bad person who didn't deserve to be on Team 7. These usually either don't put things in context or make wild leaps of logic to justify why fic writers should abuse her, humiliate her, have horrible things happen to her, etc, because she "deserves" it. Even fans of Sakura will do this, writing her being shown how she's a stupid horrible person for being a normal young girl and having to learn to be better and become "BAMF."

Like, for example, people will come after her about that horrible line where she's like "Naruto misbehaves because he doesn't have parents" and argue she was consistently "awful to him." They do not mention Naruto trying to trick her into kissing him immediately before, or that we do see Naruto acting obnoxious to/around her, because no way could a TWLEVE YEAR OLD GIRL be justified in being annoyed by the class clown!! They also do not mention that after Sasuke tells her off, Sakura does treat Naruto much better, and most of the times she yells at him are when he is being genuinely obnoxious (and yes, she does hit him a few times, but those are all slapstick moments we're not suppose to take seriously, which is why Naruto is always 100% fine afterwards). No, instead they attack her for saying "Well, I'm on a diet anyway!" when she gives Naruto her food when he's hungry because "she's not a serious ninja is she's dieting." There is no way for Sakura to win, because anything she does is just proof she's horrible.

Not to mention the twisted sort of logic these fans go through to deny Sakura any of her on-screen accomplishments. Healing isn't a useful combat skill, duh. Her enhanced strength doesn't count because she's just a Tsunade knock off. She's stupid because she's not as smart as Shikamaru. What?? Like I said, it's fine to not like her, and it's fine to think her character went in a boring direction because you don't want her to just be a Tsunade #2. But the frequency with which people act like these things make her objectively a bad person is baffling. If you applied this logic to like 90% of the cast, you'd see people being like "well Hinata watched Naruto be lonely and never talked to him, so she obviously doesn't care about him and doesn't deserve his love" but you DON'T because Hinata has big tits because these arguments only make sense if you want to go out of your way to bash a character.

Just say you don't like her and move on. If you try to argue no one should like her, you just end up being like "Well, things girls do are STUPID AND BAD" and that's not a good look.

OTP —i don't rlly care about this kind of thing. his canon ship w/ ino is fine ig, but i also think the concept of sakuinosai is really funny. it would not be a full triangle i think, just both sai and sakura loving ino. i bet the arguments would be hysterical, in that house.

random headcanon —i think he wears really large and body-covering clothes when hes in konoha as a kind of visual for like, feeling uncomfortable and out of place. his clothes don't fit him and he doesn't feel like he fits the place. good luck sai keep trying!

unpopular opinion — i don't think his being rude to people is 100% accidental. its a very popular interpretation that he just straight up fully does not understand that he's being rude + idk if i believe that because he makes the same rude comments over and over and gets the same reaction, and while he's not very good at understanding peoples feelings, we know he can identify anger and frustration. i just see him as such a fundamentally furious character. i dont know how to explain this to people, he seems so mad to me!

Like when we see Naruto in its first chapters Sakura is not very likeable. I can hear the anti sakura fans saying "ah but Sakura said mean things about orphans"

Which yes she said this. Yes that is uncalled for but the difference here is....how her words come from a place of ignorance than malice.

Please! Not excusing here. Just explaining.

Sakura had 12 years old and sees Naruto- who does everything to gain attention- free as a bird and think that is the good side of being an orphan.

Again. It was all from ignorance. But one thing the scene paints and no one talks about is how...Sakura doesnt know anything about Sasuke....who is also an orphan.

🤨 if you crush on someone ...and dont know thay said crush is orphan...what that tells you?

And I want to point out how she did changed after that. "Ah. But she still doesnt want to date naruto" " ah but she did all that for sasuke"

1) she is not obligated to date him.

2) Naruto did pass as Sasuke using a jutso and gain a kiss from Sakura....so that is ok?

3) Sakura does treat him better but she is not obligated to date him and he always asks her out even when she makes clear she likes sasuke.

4) she never again said or did anything like that.

You can say Sakura has flaws. You can say her love for Sasuke is not great but you can't say she is like Bakugou.

She is willingly to work with others. Doesnt care about winning or be the strongest. Has flaws, has strenghts and is a good character.

Now.....Bakugou.

It doesn't matter if you read a fic where Bakugou donate a liver for Izuku to live. In canon, Bakugou is a horrible character.

Remember when I mentioned how Sakura made that orphan comment? It wasnt nice but it was out of ignorance ....

Bakugou suicide bait Izuku with 100% malice and intention. And shows no remorse (unlike Sakura who did show remorse) and contonies to be awful to Izuku.

And he doesn't changes through those 300 chapters.

Bakugou has no remorse. Bakugou makes an half assed apology trying to save his face...he shows no remorse ...and has tried to kill Izuku 2 times (maybe 3 if we count those little scenes. I rememeber one where Baku throws a snowball at Izuku...with glue or smth...TOO HURT and its implied he would do again...AND IZUKU WAS BLEEDING)

And if any bk stan is seeing this and think sakura is worse bc "huh she beat naruto for being a perv"

It is comedy. One I dont like but here the think...Naruto on the next scene is 100% fine. Izuku is not.

So I can say Bakugou is much worse.

Debunking some SS Delusions

Okay so I was reading a post by @carmenserenity123456 and I was amazed by some points a SS fan made to sail her ship, which just showed their poor reading comprehension. But this is in fact a general idea that all SS fans share so, here we go.

1- Because S´+S had a baby that means they love each other. They always argue with us about if we know how babies are made. Of course, babies are made bc of sex -one of the ways nowadays tho-

Saying a couple who has a child is happy and love each other JUST BECAUSE they had that child is a big ass fallacy, and shows poor knowledge about the world. Having a kid can be proof that that couple had sex ( in most cases) but it's not a symbol of happiness at all, not even in anime, not in tv shows, not in movies. Want an example? Gendo Ikari.

2-SS fans try to justify Sakura's poor knowledge about Sasuke past and history, saying that Sasuke's past is just his past, and she "respects" it. Well no, she doesnt even respect it because she is not interested in it. No interest is not the same as showing respect.

And it's important, absolutely important, to know your life's partner past, because that past is what made that person till that day and all those days coming, and that you will spend by your side. Also, learning about someone's past comes with understanding, something SHE WAS NEVER ABLE TO understand Sasuke. So from this point, this ship starts sinking because she never showed a single piece of understanding him. If that was the case, she wouldn't think the only way to "stop" him was killing him or pretending her so-called Love was going to stop his pain and battle against Naruto.

She doesnt know anything about his past, his family, his ideals, ideology, pain, loss, his feelings for Naruto (however you like to call them) and especially she doesn't know ANYTHING about Itachi, or the path he had to go through. Saying Sakura respects Sasuke is a fallacy as big as a house, and saying she just doesnt want to know about his past is a red flag too, from sasuke side who didnt share about his memories with his "wife" and from her not wanting to actually more about the person who is the father of her child, at least.

2- When Sarada stopped Ino from greeting Sasuke, i dont know how they cannot see this. Who in the fuck will tell Sarada about this more than Sakura? Sai, Temari, Shikamaru??? Even her fans to these days still continue on fighting SaiIno for god knows what reason. And also that behaviour from sarada was a copycat from her mother, exactly..

3-That person justifies Sakura behaviour with Sarada, saying Sakura is a human. Of course she is a human, but that's not a way to treat your kid, especially with the great strength she has, she destroyed the damn house. Do you SS peeps think this is okay? If your so hated Hinata does the gentle push to Boruto, i bet your ass you would condemn her, and it's fine. But please. Maybe its acceptable if she slapped Sarada, nonetheless Sarada was asking something absolutely true about her origins. And yes sakura behaviour is human, but human is not the same as justifiable.

Gendo Ikari was also a human, Shou Tucker was also human, and a i can go on.

Justifying Sakura stupid and childish behaviour with her daughter, using -as an abuser- her great strenght just to show superiority and make her child shut up, is human yes, and it's dangerous. Dont use that poor excuse, you fools.

4-Say that Sakura has nothing to show off about getting Sasuke duck because back in the day when they were 12 he SAID TO EVERYONE HOW SMART SHE IS¿¿¿¿¿¿ Okay so this is bad reading comprehension at all, and it's delusion and basically imagining something that didnt happen. I think you know what pannel we are talking about but Sasuke just told to her, he didnt say it out loud, he just said in a tone that she and naruto could hear, that she was good at genjutsu. For example, Rock lee said out loud that he liked Sakura, in front of everyone so they can hear it.

And SS said that, when Ino hugged Sasuke it showed how humble Sakura is, because she could say to Ino she had no chance because Sasuke praised her¿¿¿¿¿¿ If Sasuke actually praised her, she would say it and she would fangirl over the place, she got depressed when he told her to train because she was worse than Naruto, how do you think she would react if he praised her? She is a person who is hungry for any word that comes from Sasuke. So basically she didn't take that as praise or a show of love because in fact IT WASN´T.

And last, "Having a child is a decision" aka means Sasuke and Sakura had sex and made love so they could have Sarada because they love each other so much and a bunch of 699 manga chapters supports them.

No dear, this is not 100% true. You can have a child without expecting it, just come to Latin America, and also that doesn't mean at all child= love. Just go and read some victorian novels, asian dramas, or whatever media, when they have a kid bc of that is what society expects from them.

The Gaiden manga shows how kids can be made bc of an experiment and how they can clone themselves, and how Orochimaru can even "make" children with his lab. A very appropriate theme for a very insecure ship, if Kishimoto wanted them to go lovey-dovey about how they made sarada, then this topic about having kids by almost artificial insemination, wasn't the best move. Also, showing her love-rival actually having her umbilical cord instead of the proper mother, making her love rival assist her, and in fact make the kid actually look like her love-rival (cof cof an uzumaki) is a very bad joke, and If i were and SS i wouldnt be happy at all with this.

And last but no least, Sasuke never said he loved sakura. SS says he said he loves her to sarada. Well no, Sarada actually asked her father if he loves her mother and if they are connected. Sasuke only answered the last part of the question, saying they are connected because of her. And sorry but this is very common divorced-couple behaviour.

If you actually love your couple, you have no problems to say it out loud. He never said those words, not to anyone in canon, and yes I include Naruto here. Someones would say, its not necessary to say i love you because he loves her anyway, well he doesnt even show it. If you dont have the guts to say those words you can demonstrate it, well he never did it, nor in that gaiden even. As for divorced couples, they behave like these ones, some couples just stay this way "together" for the sake of the child. Because in fact, as Sasuke said "We are connected because of you" the only thing that they have in common is that kid, and no a kid is not enough to maintain a couple.

hey, out of curiosity, no hate. what's the difference between sns and ss (since you dont like the first but prefer the second pair), if they two actually didnt understand uchiha and were saying "come back and everything will be fine, i promise". but it will never be the same after the truth were discovered. i think if sakura had more power she would do the same as naru lol

Sakura wasn't given a chance to understand Uchiha, because she was left in the dark just like the rest of Konoha. Her decision to kill Sasuke, which I talked about a bit before, was caused by feeling of guilt and fear for Naruto's life. She went to attack him, fully aware that she might die and her use of poison, for me, is a clear indication of that. She did it while having no idea what Konoha did to his clan, mind you.

We can only speculate what would Sakura do if she knew or "had more power" but personally I don't buy that she would do the same as Naruto. Similarities in their personalities are only surface level and she, unlike our main character, tends to adjust her views to current situation. It makes her more flexible but also emotional and not as strong willed as Naruto.

I get that her hotheadedness and being a "heavy hitter" makes her seem more active and aggressive but she really isn't. Only maybe adult Sakura could be considered more open for confrontation but it's still less than, for example, Tsunade. She just isn't that type of character. Notice also how different they both speak to Sasuke. Sakura lies out her emotions, makes herself vulnerable, her sentences are full of both "I feel/I hope/I want" and "If you can/I thought you" ect. She always speaks very pleading, she is asking him, begging, never telling or commanding. This is why Sasuke's responses to her tend to be so weirdly cold, because it's about him not grasping the reason behind her feelings. But he's such a sensitive guy, you can tell he empathizes with her even then. Uchiha feelings are wild. For Naruto, not only as a character but also a guy (I don't mean it in a bad way, but since Sasuke and Naruto are presumably based on Kishimoto and his brother, their relationship showcases this sort of "rough love", which can be common for many boys growing up). Naruto is always way more direct, kinda demanding even. He seems to have this sort of "I will fix you" mentality, as if Sasuke was an obstacle. To this Sasuke responses are more agitated and annoyed and their relationship has a lot of this frustration and aggression to it (hence the "rough love" I mentioned). Fight seems like a very natural escalation for both of them. I cannot ever imagine Sakura acting like that, it would be very OOC for her. Ultimately however, how the characters react lies entirely within the narrative. I believe Naruto and Kakashi should've reacted differently or did something with their knowledge, but the author wrote it as he saw fit. And since it's considered official, this is what I analyze. The biggest disservice to SNS was done by Kishimoto himself, funnily enough. Although I personally don't think anything should stop people from enjoying something as innocent as a fictional shipping.

SSM21 Day 9: Family

Sasuke is fidgeting beside her, looking anywhere but the person, a few person, before them.

Understand that he won't saying anything else, Sakura bows, which a 3 year old Sarada, who's in Sasuke's hold do as well, "We apologise to be coming over here. My family were chased by enemy and this husband of mine is just too generous to transfer us here." She half teased, half serious telling the family before her their story.

The Uchihas family looks perplexed. Of course they would, someone who looks exactly like their youngest son is standing right before them, holding a toddler, with an oddly pink hair woman beside him.

"May we ask who you are?" The Uchiha Matriarch, Mikoto Uchiha asked.

It would seem better if they didn't tell the family their identity, but then again, this is once in a lifetime opportunity, to be with Sasuke's family. All of them gather in one place, so Sakura do what Sasuke probably wouldn't approve.

She smiles politely before she spoke, "I'm Sakura Uchiha, this is my husband, Sasuke Uchiha. And our daughter, Sarada Uchiha." She introduced. From her peripheral view, Sasuke is throwing a disbelieving look over her while Sarada squeals when her name is mentioned.

It was Itachi who spoke first, "Are you from the future?"

Sakura beamed at him, "Yes, such smart one you are."

Sasuke wished he has another hand that is not too busy holding Sarada to pinch the bridge of his nose for the stunt his wife has just pulled infront of his supposedly dead family.

Sitting with the other male members of his family, Sasuke can't seem to calm down as he plays with Sarada's hair to distract himself and occasionally responded to her babbling questions, and glancing at his wife–who is helping Mikoto with lunch, once in a while. He is forever grateful that his father and brother knew he doesn't want to speak.

"Is he like Naruto-oji, or Kakashi-jii chan?"

Sasuke paused at that, looking at his daughter trying to put pieces of puzzle together since her mother's outburst about those people being their family.

"Neither."

Sarada folded her little arms above her chest as she glares at her Papa. And then she shouted at her mother, "Mama! Papa being annoying again."

"Let him be today, Sarada-chan." Her soft voice sounded from the kitchen.

Sarada huffed and then grumbles on Sasuke's lap, "Be nice to Papa today, Sarada-chan. Just today, please." She mimics her mother's voice telling her what to and not do that day while they're visiting Papa's family.

Sasuke's eyes twitched at that, his lips make a frown of its own, "I don't think its nice to mock your mother."

"I dont think its nice to not answer Sarada's questions either." Was Sarada's quick remark.

"I did answer."

Sarada turns around in his lap to face him, "But you didn't give me proper answer, papa."

For one second, Sasuke lift up his gaze to look over his father and brother before quickly avert it away. He sighs, "Fine." He paused to drink his tea, "They're your family. Like Kizashi, and Mebuki. He," He nodded at Itachi, "is pretty much like Naruto," And then he paused, making a face thinking about the knucklehead.

"But Naruto-oji is your friend, Papa."

"It means family too."

"Really? Does that makes Chocho our family?"

Sasuke shrugs, "Sure."

"Inojin too?"

"Of course, Sarada."

The little girl's eyes glinting with excitement before she frowns, "How about Kakashi-jii chan? Is he family too."

Sasuke rolls his eyes thinking back at when he first started being a father, and somehow, betweem managing his job as a hokage, Kakashi was able to give him some of his Icha Icha Paradise tactics on how to start a bond with his new daughter, "No."

"But I like Kakashi-jii chan."

Sarada's laughter surrounded the house successfully attract all attention to her. She lifted Sasuke's hair again to see his eyes. It always excite her to watch the mismatched color of her father's eyes.

"Can you do the star eyes, Papa?" She asked.

As if Sarada calls it herself, Sasuke's Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan appears, swirling into 6 pointing stars.

Sarada's giggle intensify before she pulls her father into her small embrace, and then pull away again, staring fondly at his eyes.

"Just how strong are you, little brother?" Itachi asked, amused.

Sasuke was silent as he watched the scene unfold before him. After they finish lunch, Sakura will help Mikoto clean up and doing the dishes. They will maybe sit for a little while, talking or rather, listening to Sarada babbles about everything she manages.

He, even though quite uncomfortable, is partly content at what had happen today. Both his family, past and future, finally met. He likes how casually Sakura speaks to Mikoto, the way she follows her orders as they cook together, and how she regards both Fugaku and Itachi. He likes how they accept who Sakura is to him, despite the different of clans, hair and eye color.

He especially loves how acceptable his past family is to their precious little Sarada. At such short time, he noticed how frequent his father will glance at the little girl, fondness marred his eyes. Itachi even though so subtle, shows how he enjoys Sarada's non stop talk, amusement danced in his expression, as if saying, you're just like my otouto. His mother is the most obvious out of them all. She already loves Sarada, that is an understatement of the day.

At this short moment of time, Sasuke let his guard down and savour this significantly valuable moment with his family.

He turn to look beside him only to meet with the green eyes of his wife, smiling at him. Sasuke nods as his expression soften before he returns her smile.

Part 8

Naruto is seen returning to the village after his talk with Nagato. Naruto is exhausted and was about to fall over, but Kakashi catches him (let’s all appreciate that the first thing he did after coming back to life was to go look for his student). He pressed his cheeks and wrapped his arms around Kakashi. Also Kakashi is making a reference to when he carried Naruto on his back after their battle on the Valley of the End.

Naruto returns to the village and the first thing he sees is all the villagers cheering for him. He has become a hero and saviour of the village and everyone acknowledges him as a hero. Naruto had achieved his dream of wanting everyone to acknowledge him (There’s a deeper meaning to why he even wants everyone to acknowledge him in the first place and it has to do with his past).

Naruto is very suprised, he is not used to being treated this way by everyone after all. Notice how us as viewers are more happy than Naruto himself (not that he isn’t happy of course) I’ll get more into why when we come to the Dark Naruto part.

*Sakura rant* Why is the first thing Sakura does after Naruto saved her village is to punch him in the fucking head?! Jesus Christ it’s like Kishi WANTS her to be hated. Look at Naruto’s face in the bottom right picture, it’s like he thinks ”What the hell have i done now?!”. Sakura then hugs him because she’s grateful that Naruto saved the village (way to show you’re gratefulness earlier you lousy bitch).*Sakura rant over*

Notice how Hinata smiles here. She doesn’t feel threatened at all by their supposed ”romantic relationship” but she rather sees them as a brother and sister type relationship (like most people). Actually their relationship is almost like Harry and Hermione. Both scolding and caring for each other as good FRIENDS. Also notice how Naruto didn’t hug her back after a physically, mentally and emotionally draining battle while he pressed his cheeks and put his arms tightly around Kakashi. Why is this? Well maybe it’s because they aren’t so close after all.

Naruto doesn’t notice when Sakura is sad over her master’s near verge of death. He knows how it feels like to lose his master but he cant notice her feelings of inadequancy and her sadness? He couldn’t notice when she was depressed over her inferiority complex when drafting for the Chunnin Exams either (to much in his own fantasy world of being acknowledged and beating Sasuke lol) he only noticed when it concerned Sasuke. Imaging only noticing when someones depressed because of another person you’re both obssesed over.

When Hinata was sad he comforted her by saying she saved him more than twice and that she was strong. He also noticed her sadness through her eyes.

Notice how when Tazuna asked if there was a love triangle going on, Naruto happily denied it (confirming that there never really was anything serious going on and also that he didn’t have any ”romantic feelings” at all at this point, since he seemed so carefree about it) Naruto was maturing and just acting like a good friend here and Sakura was thankful for that. (They were honestly acting just fine here so why did Sakura decide to make that fake confession later? She underestimates Naruto).

Naruto now reveals he knows what revenge truly feels like. After his fight with Pain he now understands why Sasuke was so obssesed with revenge. Why is this? Maybe because witnessing Hinata getting stabbed triggered the worst emotions he’d ever felt and he almost transformed into the Nine Tailed Demon Fox because he hated Pain and wanted revenge on him. Tell me how Hinata didn’t contribute to the main story when she was a reason why Naruto could understand Sasuke in the first place.

A topic that must be touched upon now unfortunately is:

Why didn’t Naruto talk to Hinata after the Pain arc? Well in universe, we have to consider that Naruto has never in his life experienced real romantic love before. It’s something that’s completly foreign to him. Sometimes when affection is directed towards yourself, it is hard to realise what it really means. Mentally abused people like Naruto is no exception, someone that never experienced parental love, how are we supposed to expect that he would understand romantic love aswell? Something that is way more complex than that too.

Also let’s be real here considering what i’ve just said how would Naruto be able to recognize what Hinata really meant when he was pinned downed by rods, about to be taken and his greatest enemy being right in front of him in a destroyed Konoha crater. It all probably happend in a blink of an eye and before he knew it he was already transformed into the six-tails. The tension was really high and Naruto was already in emotional turmoil and despair, there were simply too much happening at the same time for him to comprehend it all.

Later everyone acknowledged him as a Hero and suddenly everyone was paying him attention and he became very busy aswell. Pressing matters in the shinobi world were happening immediatly after his return, like Sasuke being ordered to be disposed of. Other responsibilities were being placed on him so in context he really didn’t have time to think about what her confession really meant and what it made him feel, he not only didn’t have any help from others to understand it but other things were happening so quickly too.

Also the reason Kishi didn’t show Naruto thanking Hinata was because Kishimoto felt awkward about writing romance. He’d rather wait till later and make it more indirect than write actual lovey dovey stuff, and i dont blame him completely. Its a fighting manga after all, and not a romance (altough i wouldn’t say he’s bad with romance as he understands the context) He probably didn’t plan to explain when or how they got together at this point in time, he was just gonna do it, as that was what he always wanted since part 1. Had Naruto accepted her feelings right there and then it would have moved away from the main topic of the story, which is saving Sasuke.

His actions later in chapter 559, 615 and 677 makes his answer to her confession an indirect YES. He was already in love with Hinata subconsiously. You might believe that it happend after this arc but it was actually implied in Naruto’s theme song from The Last. ”He now understood the meaning of that warmth” and ”her overflowing kindness”. Judging by this Naruto could have loved her as early as chapter 77 when he told her from the direct translation: ”Thank you, you’re far too kind Hinata!”. It was probably because of her kindness but also the origin of how Hinata fell for Naruto was out of admiration and respect, the same reasons Naruto started feeling something for her too in the Chunnin Exams.

Sai falsely states that Naruto is going this far to save Sasuke because of unrequited feelings for Sakura and because of that promise (that he admits he didn’t know anything about, also when Sai asked Naruto about how he felt about her he said ”how can i? Cant even keep my promises.” Seems to me that he was more depressed over not getting Sasuke back and the only reason he haven’t given up on Sakura completly is because he wants to keep his word because that’s his ninja way. He actually let his ”crush” go after that hospital hug where he saw Sasuke’s tender face and accepted that Sakura loved Sasuke. He realised subconsiously that what he was feeling before was a pointless childish crush.)

Sai accuses Sakura of causing Naruto alot of pain too because of that promise, and that’s true. Promise of a life time more like Burden of a life time. Anyways Sakura cries because of guilt and decides that the only way to make Naruto stop chasing after Sasuke is to falsely confess to him like the narcissistic *nice lady* that she is. why do u think sakura is disliked so much by naruto fans?? like she isnt the only badly written female character of naruto whose abilities arent utilized for most of the series or who has to be rescued by the male characters literally every female character in naruto has that thing going for her. hi anon ! im quite new to the naruto fandom so cant exactly pinpoint all of the reasons of the hate she gets (some of which might be reasonable too) but from what ive seen its mostly male fans who seem to hate her alot for which im sure is bc of the following reasons :

1. She doesnt have a character design which can be sexualized by the male audience and doesnt particularly have any “fanservice” moments/outfits in the entire series (as far as im aware). I feel like this is the main reason she is hated but most of men who hate her wont admit it lol. Im fairly certain if they made sakura’s hair longer and gave her big boobs skinny waist look with clothes showing her cleavage etc most of these male fans wouldnt be hating her this much.Theyre just unhappy that shes the main female character of the series but cant even be sexualized by them 

2. She doesnt have a personality and abilities which are appealing to most male fans .Sakura isnt a submissive, gentle, shy, quiet girl who keeps her feelings to herself unless the moment requires her to express them for a male character’s love interest.Shes open, brash, short tempered ,talkative and expresses her emotions and feelings freely no matter weather people around her are fine with them or not. If she likes someone she tells them even if she might get rejected and if she dislikes someone she isnt afraid to stand up against them which lot of male fans dont like. Also the fact that shes so physically strong that she can chuck huge boulders around and destroy iron boulders and houses by sheer force of her strength alone when other male characters like naruto need external powers like sage mode/nine tails power etc to do the same feat isnt easily acceptable by them either

She’s unnecessarily violent towards other male characters : Okay i myself dont like this aspect of her much either. ik female characters hitting male characters out of nowhere is a running gag in most anime and even though most of the scenes of sakura hitting naruto are actually part of naruto fillers, i still think that unless the male characters are being  very shitty/pervy towards a female characters there is no need to have the female characters being violent towards the male characters as a way to show that they are “strong”. Unnecessary violence is unnecessary violence no matter what gender does it so if anyone dislikes anime sakura bc of that i get it

4.She gets in the way of their ship/doesnt end up with the person they wanted her to end up with. Alot of fans who wanted naruto to end up with sakura hate her for choosing sasuke over naruto since naruto was the main hero and he was in love with her for the majority of the series so according to their mentality its the hero would should have “won” the main female character in the end and not the rival .Of course some of them just wanted them to end up together bc naruto was nicer towards her but the former ones hate her more bc of this.Some people who ship sasuke and naruto together hate her bc of the traditional “female character gets in the way of their m/m ship” misogyny since she ended up with sasuke but its not a large number since most of the sns fandom recognizes that it was the fault of heteronormativity not the female character for the endgame pairings. Alot of naruto and hinata shippers hate her bc naruto had more moments and chemistry with sakura than he did with hinata .

5.That fake confession during the 5 kage summit : Idk why people hate her bc of this but alot of people do for some reason bc “she played with naruto’s feelings” etc etc when she was literally guilt tripped into thinking that SHE and naruto’s promise to her was the reason why naruto was making himself suffer bc of sasuke (which wasnt true) and she wanted to stop naruto from endangering himself while running around looking for sasuke.Was her decision stupid?yes was it deserving of hate and as bad as people act like it is?no lol

6.She is underutilized af  : I wont say she’s useless but aside from the sasori fight she really does not get to showcase her fighting abilities throughout the rest of the series even when the moment required it or she COULD showcase them.In part one she didnt have much abilities so had to constantly rely on naruto and sasuke to get herself out of danger and in part 2 despite being strong af there still are moments where she could at least attempt to fight back a little but had to again rely on naruto and sasuke again to save her .But that isnt exactly her fault the author just didnt let the female characters shine alot in the series and its more apparent in case of sakura since shes the main female character

I'm sorry to collect these, but thank you everyone for the positive vibes and kind words! I've been in jjk fandom before the anime and it has since getting bigger - and ofc getting worse too, sadly. And I've also been in numerous fandom over the course of the years, but this is the first time I saw someone so anti with shipping in general. Shipping is not even the main activity of this blog, as you all can see. itafushi is not even the weirdest ship in jjk fandom.

Everyone in fandom enjoys things in different ways, as long as you don't cause trouble for others, there's no "right" or "wrong". It's just a piece of media. It doesn't dictate your life. I don't and don't want to dictate others in what is right and wrong in this matter. But yes, as long as there is a fandom of it, shipping will most likely be a part of it. This applied to fandom everywhere, which use other language too. And harsh it may be, but we are here because we share the same interest on one stuff. And that interest will fade in time when we find new things to be interested in.

Look I'm not one of those people who believe Kishimoto decided to have Hinata and Naruto end up in the middle part of Shippuden. I believe he decided in the very last arc but he wanted to sound smart so he said he decided earlier on. Otherwise, they obviously would have more scene together. In Shippuden, they have only three scenes together ; when Naruto came back, the pain attack and the neji death scene. That's it. In the original Naruto, they probably have less than ten canon scenes not including fillers.

So I'm sorry I'm one of those who wasn't convinced by The Last. They literally had a basic villain go after Hinata who was cringe btw (the villain). They gave Hinata op powers which she doesn't have in the novel 👀. Despite having op powers, they made her the damsel in distress. Very "The hero saves the princess" cliche. Again, to justify them being together. I mean Naruto can't differentiate his love for ramen and romantic love so how??? He was just being nice to Hinata just like he does to everyone. He stood up for her just like he does for everyone.

Don't get me started on the Sakura Sasuke relationship 🤣. Cringe. They never knew each other. The whole Sakura's love for Sasuke saved him doesn't make sense. They spent barely a year in their genin year before sasuke left. Sasuke tried to kill Naruto and Sakura multiple times. Then at the end of the war, Kishimoto tried to do the "oh they have such a deep understanding between each other" which comes off as cringey. He gets her pregnant then leaves for years. She's literally a single mom who's broke.

Every relationship in Naruto is so cringey and forced except shikatemari. Kishimoto should've focused on the main story and fixed his potholes and leave the ending open.

Naruto would not have been perfect but at least it would've been remembered for staying true to its vision but instead it's remembered for cringey relationships, dumbass villain (except pain and madara) and a story that lost its core which is a shame coz I used to love Naruto. I was inspired by its messages but now....

I mean, Naruto in general is a mess, not just the ships if we're being realistic. Alot of plotholes, rushed endings, this and that, the w a r a r c, Kaguya, the way they rushed Boruto ehhh. Honestly, getting into Naruto is literally my biggest regret of 2020 :"DD

Im an NH shipper as you can tell by my hotmess of a blog but i fully respect your opinion and understand your point of view. I also know a bunch of nh stans who have their complaints with their development. I wish Kishi gave more attention to his female cast really, thats all I fucking ask. If he did that one single basic thing, then maybe the endgame relationships wouldnt have been an asspull and theyd be given propper screentime with their love interest, both Sakura and Hinata. The Last tbh i think the writers played it safe and stuck to the whole Naruto shounen vibe thingy, so im not surprised it was plotted that way. Typical cliché shounen movie.

But does that bother me? No! The Last was a mess, their development was shit, they definitely needed more screentime but hey at the end of the day theyre cute as fuck, we have that kiss scene, flirting scenes, a shit ton of official art, three kids, Seiki's gif :33 and a whole ass arc for their wedding all that for just a shounen anime so eh. Compensates for it i guess xD theyre not toxic, unhealthy or whatnot. Theyre wholesome, soft and vanilla as fuck and exactly what i need in my hectic life rn. No drama, just two kind souls who are adorable as heck and theyre dynamic means so much to me and I will love them until i shall leave this earth.

Sasuke and Sakura on the other hand eeeehhhh i can see why people like them. Sasuke's hot, he's your typical hot bad boy aad Sakura's hot and pretty too. Basic blue and pink trope. Aside from their canon interactions, fans have all the opportunity to play around with their dynamic but for me, its just sooo basic and so hetero and can easily appeal to any 16 yr old teenage girl, no wonder it has an active fanbase on twt and---- AM I MAKING ANY SENSE? SILHOUETTE IS a banger… not as much so as some of the others but its a lot of fun. very colorful op, we got some naruto pining for sasuke, classic. also love the thing where ppl are running and they age as they do and they sort of grow into their present selves, a fun visual bit. the end where narutos like obito be nice now look at all these people behind me who think youre a meanie please be nice :(((((((((

You know what I don't get?? How do nh and ss look at Boruto/Gaiden and think SS and NH works?? I get it's denial but how much can you deny? Isn't it a burden to lie to yourself that much? I mean nh and ss are non existent throughout both parts. But the canon ending probably gave them some defence. I mean if I shipped nh or ss, no matter how delusional i was, i would definitely have left those ships after Gaiden, Naruto thinks of Sasuke looking at bento when clearly his son thought of his mum. Such a clear parallel. And ss.....well, Kishi bashed ss like hell in Gaiden. Like with a vengeance. Naruto talks about Sasuke like ooh he is so handsome and attractive and hot and talented and amazing Sarada, you don't know how cool your dad is. When have we ever heard him talk about Hinata like that? He calls her plain looking weirdo 😭. Isn't it obvious? Like okay, Sasuke and Naruto aren't married but they literally behave like each other's spouses. Sasuke won't even kiss Sakura, he looks like he would rather be in an alternate dimension without oxygen in the atmosphere, instead of being with Sakura. I mean....i can't imagine the amount of lying to themselves ss and nh have to do. The last literally stole SNS tropes to make nh work and even then they couldn't look believable...😭. Hello Anon :) Well there are 2 kind of shippers i think.

You have the type who just ships for the sake of shipping, because they like how both character look together and that's it. They didnt read any meta post, or they dont go that deep on looking about information of that ship, and only have seen the anime and saw a scene where this 2 characters interacted and that's it. A ship can born with just only one interaction of 2 characters and that's it. I think there is no much problem with these shippers cause they know they do not know that much about the ship, of course they will go crazy if they see canon content...But they can actually think and reflex if you give information about how non-canon is their ship.

I have 2 friends who belong to this type of shipper: They ship SasuSaku but they started shipping them because of a picture and then they saw the anime. Of course they were influenced already, they thought both looked good together and thats it. But they know well, very well how stupid is for SS to be together in the end and they recognize that they dont know each other. Unreal for a SS huh? xD And they say that SNS is of course the most strongest ship. But they prefer SS for their looks and that's fine.

THen you have the other kind of shipper who lives in a nube de pedos as they say in my country (a fart cloud) who live in extremely delusion. I dont know why, maybe some colective hysteria? I dont know, but its interesting how a looooot of them believe something they have not seen in the anime/manga. And they make mental gymnastics to make SS fits in moments that are not meant to be with them. I think, is precisaly the lack of canon content (and content at all lol) they had, that they have to imagine moments and conversations between sasuke and sakura, that never happened. And they think about them that much, that somehow they end up believing they are real, or they can be real off-screen.¿¿¿

But i think they reflect perfectly the person they fanatisize first with, which is Sakura. Most of SS fans are first of all Sakura fans. And they reflect very well their cherry blosom princess, living in a fart cloud, feelings. She , as her fans, deluded till the point of believing she had the enough power on Sasuke emotions to make him stop twice from his objectives¿ And i dont know where this thought come from cause he never showed hesitanting doing something because of thinking about sakura idk ajslkdfj But as I said, they feed themselves enough with fics and headcanons that they delude the reality and canon content, with their fictional material.

For example. I was a SS shipper back in the day, also NH, yeah i know...dark times. And well i cannot speak that much about NH because i shipped them bc of yolo. But for SS, there was this fact STATED AS CANON that Sasuke went with itachi telling him that he liked some girl with pink hair¿¿¿¿¿ and this was stated as canon in all freaky fan bases. Of course i was !!!!! but when looking for the content, i found any because it wasnt canon of course not xDD And another thing is that they believe SS have this enemies to lovers dynamic. They believe they are some Leon /Ada (from Resident evil) dynamic, she a powerful woman and he a powerful man ¿ but their ways are not meant to be together. And you can see this dynamic in a lot of SS fics. I also believes this dyanamic as well, which is fascinating but then realized they are not like that...That there...there is nothing at all. About NH is the same, well with them is worse xD They are non existent. What i can conclude, is that meanwhile they belong to these kind of shippers, they will always live in denial while they have their headcanon and theories about their ship. The only thing they could use as shield is that they are canon and they will defend "that title" till the end. They, as their queens, wont care about the marriage cause in the end they got what they wanted and thats where the story ends.
