Seven-year-old Sirius was sitting on his desk completely bored out of his mind. He had completed his homework and now had to sit and read until his little brother, Regulus, completed all his homework. Reggie worked leisurely without a care in the world that his brother was internally cursing him about taking so long.

Sirius called out, "Regulus! Psst! Are you hungry?"

"What do you want, Sirius?" Regulus questioned without looking up from his work.

"Let's go and get ice cream from the fridge. I'm bored," Sirius replied with a grin forming on his face.

"Ice cream?" Regulus asked dreamily. Sirius knew how much Regulus loved ice cream.

"But-" Regulus began in doubt but Sirius interrupted him to say, "We'll be there and back in seconds. Don't worry."

Regulus agreed and left his work half-done to race to the kitchen and grab the ice cream. They ate the ice creams in the kitchen, giggling at the thrill of sneaking away without getting caught.

As they raced back, Sirius's hand brushed against a glass bottle in the kitchen and it fell to the floor with a crash. Sirius murmured, "Oops!" under his breath before fleeing the crime scene as if nothing had happened.

Minutes later, when their governess asked them who broke the bottle in the kitchen, Sirius pondered aloud, "What a mystery!"

Regulus added, hiding a smile at the corner of his lips, "Who could have possibly gone into the kitchen?"

They laughed about their governess’ confusion for years to come.
