Spencer Reid x intern!reader ♡ 754 words
You’re talking to yourself. You do this, sometimes, Spencer doesn’t think you even really mean to. It’ll just be a word here or there, a murmured maybe as you ponder a case or shit when you fill out a form wrong and have to get another. You’d done it in front of Derek once, and even he’d had the good sense not to tease you about it; you’re too green, still, too nervous for good-natured joking.
The police station is mostly empty, the rest of the team having called it a night except for you and Spencer. In the past twenty minutes, as you’ve swivel in your chair and peered at the board with hawk-like intensity, it’s been no, but if…, and unless? Spencer tries not to let it distract him, but it is cute, the way you seem to be talking yourself in and out of theories, using yourself as your own sounding board. He’s never met an intern—a student, nonetheless—less eager to get to their FBI-bankrolled hotel room.
It’s when you shake your head at yourself, seemingly dismissing an idea, and mutter stupid, that’s when Spencer steps in.
“What is it?” he asks.
You jolt and turn your head like you’d forgotten he was there. “Huh?”
“You seem like you have an idea.”
“Oh, I was…it wasn’t anything.” You have one foot on the ground, the other pulled up onto your chair with you, and you’re using it to swivel your seat back and forth restlessly. It’s almost funny; Spencer doesn’t understand how anyone could ever be nervous around him, but you are. You are around the whole team. You’re quiet most of the time, looking at them all with wide eyes and palpable awe while they analyze and ideate. It’s sweet, but also baffling, considering you’re fiercely intelligent yourself.
Spencer smiles at you. Your lips curve in kind, like they’re not entirely sure why but are relieved to do it.
“I’d still like to hear it,” he says.
You visibly shrink, leg pulling closer to you in your seat. “I was just, um, starting to think that maybe the way he laid out the second victim could be a sign of remorse, but then I realized it couldn’t be, because of—”
“The dump site,” Spencer finishes with you.
You nod, looking abashed. “Right. So, obviously not.”
“That’s not obvious,” Spencer says. He looks at the board, tapping his thumb on his jaw. “We haven’t been looking at the way the second victim was positioned, there could be something to that.”
You blink. “Really?”
“Yeah. Why didn’t you say anything?”
“I—well, sorry. I just didn’t think there was anything to say. I didn’t want to sound dumb.”
You cringe like you hadn’t meant to say it. Spencer feels his brows twitch together, though it’s not like the explicit admission surprises him when you’ve effectively been saying it in a thousand implicit ways since he met you. He has the strange urge to reach over and put a hand on your shoulder. It's not like him, so he doesn’t.
“We all have theories that don’t pan out,” he says, “all the time. We just bounce them off the team anyway in case it leads to another idea.”
Your smile is almost rueful. “You don’t.”
Spencer actually laughs. “I do. It’s possible you just haven’t been around long enough to notice.”
Your head tilts sideways as though contemplating this. It makes your body list slightly in the chair, your leg resting against the cushioned arm. You look more at ease than you did a minute before, softer, the furrow of concentration easing from between your brows. Spencer’s chest feels light and airy without reason.
“It’s not dumb, to have an idea that doesn’t turn into anything,” he tells you gently. “No one in our team would think that.”
“I know,” you say, sheepish now. “You guys just know so much, I don’t know how to contribute.”
“It comes with experience,” Spencer assures you. “You’ll pick it up quickly, I can tell. You already are.”
You smile again. It’s more relaxed than before, a bashful pride shining in your eyes. Spencer props his cheek on his fist, mirroring it thoughtlessly. You look tired, though no less pretty for it, the beckoning of sleep gentle in your features. If Spencer was less selfish he’d probably tell you to go back to the hotel, but normally he’s the only one who never manages to use his room during these trips. He finds he really enjoys the company.

➵ ℳ𝓔𝓝𝓤
- DAY 2 💌 , friend!shadow, confession, fluff, wc-1537
Shadow loved being in control; in control over his emotions, his actions, his thoughts. but when it came to you that control crumbled completely
and that was unacceptable.
you were his friend. nothing more. nothing less. someone who had somehow wedged into his life
yet here he was, standing outside your apartment door hands buried in the pockets of his jacket, shoulders tense. the cold night air cooling against him, but he barely felt it. his pulse could be heard in his ears
he had been standing here for at least five minutes. maybe longer.
it was ridiculous. the idea of knocking on your door left him paralyzed
it was just you. his friend.
but that was the problem wasn’t it? you were just his friend. and he was just a coward who couldn’t say the words that would make you see him as anything else.
his fingers twitched toward the door then curled back into a fist. you had invited him over, for what reason? he wasn’t sure of.
it was just going to be you. him. and that terrified him.
he exhaled sharply forcing himself to knock. once. twice. a second later he heard footsteps. then the door cracked open and there you were hair slightly tousled, wearing a loose sweater that looked too soft for your own good eyes blinking up at him in confusion before softening.
“perfect, you're here to help me make cupcakes!” you said, this what you invited him over for…
cupcakes?
he stared at you, trying to piece together how that was relevant to whatever this was.. this weird, nervous feeling coiling in his chest the reason he had been standing outside your apartment debating whether to knock in the first place
with a quiet exhale, shadow followed
your kitchen was small but cozy, the counters cluttered with bags of flour, sugar, and other baking essentials. a recipe on top of the counter though you didn’t seem too concerned about following it exactly. you handed him a whisk.
“Alright you’re on mixing.”
Shadow eyed the whisk like it was a foreign object.
“I don’t bake.”
“you do tonight!” you said, dumping ingredients into the bowl. “It’s just stirring. you can handle that right?”
he scoffed but took the whisk, moving it through the batter.
the room was quiet except for the soft scrape of the whisk against the bowl. it should have been comfortable but Shadow felt restless. his mind was screaming at him to say something anything
god he couldn’t stop staring. even if we wanted to he couldn’t.
you were humming to yourself as you spooned cupcake batter into the tray, completely unaware of what was going in in his mind. the way a few loose strands of hair framed your face perfectly, the way your sweater hung a little too loosely over your frame, the slight flour that had gotten on ur temple. it was all so you. and it was driving him insane.
because all he could think about was what would happen if he just said it.
if he turned to you right now and admitted what had been clawing at his chest for months. if he just told you how you made him feel, how sometimes he just wanted to kiss you badly, how sometimes he found himself wanting to hear your voice when he was alone.
how would you react?
would you laugh? brush it off as a joke? or worse would you look at him with that soft, apologetic expression that told him you didn’t feel the same?
the thought made his stomach twist.
“You’re quiet again” you noted, glancing at him as you slid the tray into the oven. “What’s on your mind?”
you. always you.
but instead, he just shrugged leaning against the counter fingers drumming lightly against the surface. “Nothing.”
you sighed, unconvinced. “one day, you’re actually gonna tell me what’s on your mind, you know.”
he huffed, looking away. “Doubtful.”
either way, he was infuriating.
because no matter how obvious it was, no matter how many times you caught him staring when he thought you wouldn’t notice, no matter how he always found excuses to be near you he still wouldn’t say it.
and you were getting tired of waiting.
you stole a glance at him now, leaning against the counter arms crossed lost in thought. his eyes had that faraway look again, like he was lost in thought, you wanted to shake him to tell him to stop overthinking and just say it already.
but instead, you sighed and grabbed the two frosting containers. “Chocolate or vanilla?”
Shadow blinked, pulled from whatever internal debate he was having. he eyed the options then shrugged. “Chocolate.”
“you sure are slow when it comes to making decisions.” you remarked, popping open the container.
something changed in his expression just for a second. then it was gone. “I don’t make decisions without thinking them through.”
you leaned against the counter beside him, crossing your arms. “And how long does it take before you finally do something?”
Shadow tensed just slightly. maybe it was your imagination, but you swore his fingers twitched like he wanted to reach for something. for you.
you held his gaze, waiting.
his jaw clenched. then, just like always he looked away.
of course he did.
you exhaled sharply, shaking your head as you grabbed a spoon and started stirring the frosting with more force than necessary. “you are so frustrating, you know that?”
Shadow didn’t respond. but out of the corner of your eye, you saw his fingers curl into a fist.
you were both too stubborn to say first.
after all friends didn’t ruin things. friends didn’t make things complicated. right?
you didn’t know what possessed you to do it. maybe it was the tension that had been growing between you two for months. maybe it was frustration. maybe it was just him the way he was always so composed, so impossible to read.
for whatever the reason, before you could second-guess yourself, you swiped a dollop of chocolate frosting onto your finger and smudged it right onto Shadow’s cheek.
for a moment, he didn’t move.
he just stared at you, his red eyes wide with something unreadable.
then, slowly, he reached up, swiped a finger across his cheek and examined the frosting like he couldn’t quite believe you had actually done that.
as he turned toward the sink, you scooped up another bit of frosting and without hesitation again smeared it across the back of his neck.
you let out a startled laugh, shadow had lunged forward. before you could make it two steps, his arm wrapped around your waist, pulling you back toward him. the sudden shift in weight threw you off balance, and you tumbled backward taking him down with you.
you landed on the kitchen floor, Shadow landing directly on top of you
for a moment, neither of you moved. the only sound in the room was the distant ticking of the oven timer, and the shallow rise and fall of your breaths
you blinked up at him.
Shadow hovered just inches above you, his hands on either side of your head, his chest pressed lightly against yours. his breath was warm against your cheek and you could feel the warmth radiating from him his entire body locked in place as if one wrong move would send him over the edge.
your own breath hitched. your heart pounded so loudly you were sure he could hear it
this was closer than you’d ever been. too close. and yet… not close enough.
Shadow’s gaze flickered to your lips.
just for a second.
you saw it. you felt it..
say it.
you didn’t know if you were pleading with him or yourself but the words were on the tip of your tongue, threatening to spill out and break whatever existed between you.
Shadow swallowed hard. his jaw clenched.
his voice was low, strained like the words had been clawing at his throat for too long.
“I like you.”
your breath caught.
“I’ve liked you for a long time” he admitted, eyes never leaving yours. “but you’re my friend. and if I said anything if I ruined what we already had I…” He trailed off, shaking his head. “I wasn’t willing to risk it.”
Shadow searched your face like his entire world depended on your next move. like he was waiting for rejection, for you to laugh it off or tell him this was all some mistake.
but you didn’t.
Instead, you smiled the kind of smile that made his chest tighten in ways he still didn’t fully understand.
then without hesitation, you leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to his cheek
Shadow froze.
he let out a slow breath, his mind still struggling to catch up. your lips had been warm against his skin, soft, real. you were real. And you weren’t pushing him away.
you actually… wanted this.
his crimson eyes stayed locked onto yours, searching for any hint of doubt. any hesitation. but there was none. only you.

【☆】★【☆】★【☆】★【☆】★【☆】★【☆】★【☆】★【☆】★【☆】★【☆】★【☆】★
Somehow, despite this strange man you’ve never met before snaking his hands through your shirt, all you can think about is what you’re going to say to her. Will a simple “hello” suffice? Should you open with an old inside joke? A cliche “long time, no see”? Will she even remember you after all these years?
“Dude,” the strange man mutters, his deadpan eyes staring at you, but not quite looking at you.
“O-oh, sorry. Were you saying something?” you ask nervously.
“I need you to speak into the mic to check if it’s working properly,” he says, pointing at the collar of your shirt.
You peer down and notice a black fuzzy ball sticking out from your collar. If he hadn’t pointed it out to you beforehand, you would have definitely jumped and made yourself look like an even bigger fool than you probably already do. “R-right. Uh, hello? One, two, three, testing?”
He looks back at a man some distance away, fiddling with knobs on a small black box as he listens to your audio through his chunky headphones. A tense moment passes before he flashes a thumbs up in your direction.
“All right, you’re all good,” he utters before walking off without another word, leaving you completely stranded amidst this flurry of chaos. Screaming children running around, the distant rumble of roller coasters, a food stand selling trendy overpriced products every two steps—normal things you would see at an amusement park. What’s not normal is the couple dozen people around you handling all kinds of expensive-looking camera and audio equipment. If you had to bet, the fuzzy little ball clipped to your collar probably costs more than your rent.
You had no idea what you were getting into when you first signed up for that fan event. Winning a chance to film a variety show with a member of IVE seemed too good to be true, but after you found out that you would be filming it with her, entering the event was a no-brainer. By some stroke of luck, you’re now here in the middle of an amusement park, all but abandoned while jolly children’s songs and the incessant beeping of walkie-talkies makes it difficult to hear yourself think.
“Hey you!” A booming voice somehow cuts through all the noise, and you suddenly find yourself face to face with another man you’ve never met before. Unlike everyone else, however, he seems much more relaxed, even happy to be here. Despite his bulging muscles barely contained in his Hawaiian shirt, his steps are lightweight and peppy compared to the scrambling of footsteps of his subordinates, and the wrinkles outlining his wide smile are a testament to his years of experience in… whatever it is that he does.
You let out a sigh of relief as his demeanor puts you at ease in an instant. “Hello, sir,” you greet him.
He forcefully takes your hand into a firm handshake, almost jerking your arm out of its socket. “I’m Mr. Park, I’m the production director of today’s shoot!” he says, his voice loud and boisterous. “You must be our star for today!”
“I-I wouldn’t say that,” you mutter bashfully.
“Nonsense!” he guffaws. “I just wanna give you a quick little rundown of what we’re gonna be filming today. Basically, you’re just gonna go around the amusement park, hang out and talk with the idol, maybe even flirt a bit, y’know, play it up for the cameras.” Mr. Park punctuates his explanation with a hearty chuckle and a friendly elbow to your rib. What a guy.
“Uh, yeah, sure, I can do that—”
Suddenly, he pulls you close, donning a deathly serious expression that sends a chill down your spine. “If you do anything to ruin today’s shoot, I have a six foot hole in the middle of the woods with your name on it, if you catch my drift.”
Before you even have time to process what he said, Mr. Park walks off like nothing happened, his pearly whites gleaming as if he didn’t just threaten to end you moments before. You figured there would be some oddballs in this industry, but you didn’t expect it to be this insane. If things are like this after barely an hour here, you can only imagine what her daily life is like.
“There she is!” You hear Mr. Park’s voice in the distance as a group of burly men all clad in black approaches the set. Judging by their appearance, you can tell that they’re bodyguards, which means the person their protecting is—
“Hello, Mr. Park! It’s nice to see you again!” The two bodyguards at the front part, giving way for Gaeul to walk through and shake hands with Mr. Park. Your breath catches in your throat at the mere sight of her and all the greetings you’ve rehearsed in your head all morning flutter away like butterflies.
You suddenly feel like a little kid again, waiting at her front door so the two of you can go look for frogs or build a castle out of anything you could find in the forest near your houses. Before she was Gaeul, one of the stars of IVE and adored by billions of people around the world, she was simply Gaeul, your best friend that was never afraid to get her hands dirty for the sake of adventure. She was the girl that made your world feel a little less lonely.
And yet, despite her being right in front of you for the first time in years, the distance between you has never felt so far.
As Gaeul and Mr. Park approaches you, you inhale a shaky breath, trying your best to calm your nerves.
“...and this gentleman over here,” Mr. Park explains as he gestures towards you, “is the lucky fan who you’ll be spending the day with!”
You catch her eyes, and for a moment, everything around you seems to vanish. You know deep in your gut that it’s her, but she looks so… beautiful. Instead of the oversized hand-me-downs from her brother, she’s wearing clothes that actually fit her properly—a flower top, a pink cardigan, and a frilly black skirt that shows off her legs in a way that baggy cargo shorts never could. Her hair and makeup is perfectly and meticulously done up, you would mistake her for a doll if you walked by her too fast. Every trace of the Gaeul you once knew is gone—except for her eyes and the way they still light up when they meet yours.
“H-hi,” you stutter, extending a trembling hand towards her. “It’s, uh, nice to meet you.”
She pauses, glancing down at your hand before looking back up at your eyes. A smile creeps up on her glossy lips, and then the scent of strawberry shampoo assaults your senses in the most pleasant way possible as she wraps her arms around your neck in a warm embrace.
“It’s nice to see you again, small fry,” she says softly.
In a past life, you would’ve been annoyed by that silly little nickname—it’s not your fault that your growth spurt hit you later than hers did—but hearing it after so long fills you with an immense amount of happiness that you can’t quite describe. She still remembers you.
“Ehem,” Mr. Park clears his throat, reminding you of the involuntary audience witnessing your reunion. With heat racing towards your cheeks, you reluctantly free Gaeul from your arms. “Do, uh, do you two know each other?”
“He was my best friend back in middle school before I became a trainee,” she explains, beaming. ”We were inseparable back then.”
Mr. Park approaches you, his expression growing dark just like it did before. “Kid…” he mumbles, his voice low. Suddenly, he grabs onto your shoulder with a vice-like grip and lifts you off the ground until your legs are dangling helplessly in the air.
“U-uh, Mr. Park? W-what are you—”
“You. Are. A. Godsend!” he exclaims, now back to his cheery self. “This’ll be great for ratings! I can see the headlines now: ‘IVE’s Gaeul reunites with childhood friend after he wins a fan event!’ If I wasn’t happily married to my wife of seven years, I would kiss you right now!” Finally, he drops you back on your feet and hurriedly struts away, yelling at the staff members. “Let’s get this show on the road, folks! Time is money and I don’t wanna lose a single penny!”
Gaeul pats your shoulder, not even trying to stifle a laugh at your bewildered expression. “Are you alright? Mr. Park has a few screws loose, but I promise you he’s nice.”
Her touch immediately puts you at ease as you let out a chuckle of your own. “Well, my dignity is at an all time low, but what’s new?”
If you had to embarrass yourself in front of a member of IVE, at least it’s the one that’s already seen you at your absolute worst. Like no time has passed at all, the two of you slip back into comfortable patterns of banter. There’s so much you want to tell her. Milestones she missed, horrific first dates, and a plethora of other Gaeul-less memories that you know she’ll tease you for.
“I still can’t believe it’s you, small fry,” she says. “You look great.”
“I’m not sure if you can call me that anymore,” you playfully shoot back. Getting your growth spurt before she went off to be an idol would’ve saved you a childhood of torment by her hand, but hey, better late than never.
“Oh whatever, I’ll call you whatever I damn want to.”
With a smirk, she walks off as Mr. Park calls on the two of you to get ready for filming. You always imagined your reunion to be a little more peaceful, maybe on a random chilly evening at a coffee shop, but the specifics don’t matter to you. What matters is that Gaeul is finally here, right in front of you.
You can finally do what you failed to do back in middle school.
______________________________________________________________
You’re wise enough to know that not everything you see on these kinds of shows is real, but you never realized just how scripted it all is. From the activities you do to the things you say, you feel more like a robot following commands than a regular person spending the day at an amusement park. Gaeul takes everything in stride, seemingly used to this kind of environment, but not having the freedom to properly speak to Gaeul leaves a bad taste in your mouth.
“Listen up, you two!” Mr. Park calls out from behind the camera. “You’re gonna look through the gift shop, try some things on, give a few compliments, big reactions y’know, really play it up for the camera and whatnot. Oh, and Gaeul?”
“Yes?” She tilts her head.
“Keep calling him that little nickname, uh ‘teeny fry’ or whatever it is.”
She cracks a little smirk in your direction. “Sure thing, Mr. Park.”
You sigh, masking your dismay with a neutral expression. “Why are we going to the gift shop first? Isn’t this what people do last?” you ask Gaeul.
She responds with a simple shrug. “I’ve learned not to question things and just go with the flow.”
“Huh?” You dramatically gasp in faux shock. “Are you sure you’re the Gaeul I know? Because I’m pretty sure I remember you annoying the substitute teacher with questions about frogs until they stormed out in the middle of class.”
“That’s different!” she exclaims. “Besides, that was so long ago, I’m basically a different person now.”
“Yeah, I noticed. You actually dress like a girl now.”
“Oh my god, don’t even remind me!” Her cheeks turn a cherry red as memories of her tragic middle school fashion choices come back to haunt her. “It’s a miracle that I even got casted in the first place looking like that.”
You let out a laugh. “You look good now though. Seriously.”
“Just good?” Gaeul says, offended. She steps back and gives you a little twirl, showcasing her entire outfit in all its glory. “Last time you saw me, I was wearing my brother’s old cargo shorts, and you’re telling me that I only look good?!”
“I-I didn’t— I mean…” There’s so many things you want to say, words and phrases rehearsed over years of imagining what your reunion would be like. Finally, you have the opportunity to say it out loud to her face. So just say it.
“Y-you look bea—”
“ALRIGHT, PLACES EVERYBODY!!!’ Mr. Park shouts. Before you can finish your thought, Gaeul hurries to her spot where the director told the two of you to start. You shake your head, coming to your senses and following her to your spot. Not great timing, but there will be other chances later.
Once the cameras start rolling, the two of you enter the gift shop, looking around at all the overpriced products the shop has to offer. T-shirts, headbands, hats, mini figurines of the amusement park’s mascot, just about anything a child could want and a parent would dread to buy. Like Mr. Park instructed, you do your best to give off big reactions, but frankly, this place is the least exciting part about going to an amusement park. Gaeul, on the other hand, plays it off like a true professional.
“Wow, look at this place!” she exclaims, her voice an octave higher than her regular speaking voice. “Oh my gosh, everything is so cute!”
“Y-yeah, wow! So cute!” you awkwardly parrot. Thankfully, the cameras are mainly following Gaeul, so your poor attempts at acting go unnoticed by the crew.
Gaeul takes one of the shirts off the hangers and puts it to your chest. “What do you think about this shirt, small fry? I’ll buy it for you if you want!” she says, punctuating her statement with a wink.
You chuckle in an attempt to hide the heat creeping up your face. “I’d rather launch myself into the sun than wear that ugly shirt,” you quip.
“CUT!” Mr. Park barks. “Hey kid, the park is allowing us to film here for a discounted fee, so maybe don’t talk bad about their merchandise.”
“A-ah… Right, sorry…”
Gaeul stifles a chuckle, putting the shirt back on the hanger. “It’s okay, they can just edit that part out,” she says in an attempt to console you. Unlike seconds before, her voice is back down to her usual tone.
“Uh, why are you doing that thing with your voice?” you ask.
“What thing?” She stares at you with a curious expression, one that holds not even a hint of joking.
“Uh… Nevermind.” Like she said, learn not to question things.
“Alright, let’s try this again, without the sass this time,” Mr. Park says, gesturing specifically to you. “Action!”
In an instant, Gaeul springs back into her idol persona, cheerfully skipping through each aisle and pointing out every little thing. “I wish I could buy everything in the store!”
“You probably could with your net worth,” you instinctively joke. Remembering what happened before, your eyes peer carefully towards Mr. Park, who thankfully smirks at your little jest. Relieved, you decide to do what he said before and try some “flirting”.
You grab a frog headband from one of the shelves and hand it to Gaeul. “Why don’t you try this on? I think it would look cute on you.” Something about talking to her this way leaves an odd, warm feeling in your stomach. Not bad, per se, but different.
She takes the headband from you and tries it on. “What do you think, small fry?” she asks, posing more for the cameras than for you. “Am I stealing your heart with this look?
A rush of heat floods your head at her idol fan service. It’s not the first time you’ve seen her do this kind of thing, but there’s a huge difference in seeing it through a screen and seeing it in person, directed right at you. You thought you would cringe or laugh, but you’re not even sure how to react anymore with the pounding of your heart in your ears.
“U-uh, sure, yeah, whatever…” you mutter. You expected a witty comeback from her, poking fun at your barely coherent mumblings, but instead, you feel Gaeul’s arm link with yours as she pulls you towards one of the mirrors hanging on the walls. In all the confusion, she somehow managed to put a dog headband on your head.
“Ah, we look so cute!” she exclaims, her high-pitched voice ringing in your ears.
You stare back at the reflection, forgetting all about the cameras as you take in every single detail. Gaeul linking her arms with yours, smiling at you with that silly little frog headband on. It’s almost as if you’re looking into a portal to an alternate universe where Gaeul never moved away. Where the two of you ended up as a… couple.
That warm feeling fills your stomach at the thought—but this time, it’s mixed with guilt. Gaeul never accomplished her dreams in that universe, and for what? Sure, you get more time with her and grow up alongside her, but she doesn’t become that big star that she always dreamed about being. There’s no point in clinging onto “what if’s”. Life played out like this and now you have to accept it.
“Hey.” Gaeul nudges your side, her voice back down to its usual octave. Her eyes gaze at you with worry. “You alright? Mr. Park yelled ‘cut’ a minute ago.”
You shake your head, ridding yourself of stray thoughts. “Y-yeah, I’m fine,” you reassure her. “Being in front of cameras has got me a little nervous, I guess.”
“Don’t worry about it, you’re doing great. Nice job playing it up for the cameras,” she compliments before walking off to the next filming location.
Yeah… Just for the cameras…
______________________________________________________________
The ferris wheel stands high and mighty, casting long shadows on the park grounds. It is the quintessential amusement park ride that everyone loves, including you. Stuck in a small, cramped box high in the sky, with a perfect view of the setting sun, it’s all so… romantic.
Scratch that thought from your mind. You’re not here for any ulterior motives other than filming this show and catching up with an old friend. That’s it. Nothing else.
“So, obviously we can’t fit an entire camera crew in one of those boxes, so we went ahead and fitted it with some cameras and mics to properly capture everything,” Mr. Park explains to you and Gaeul. “Just do what I said—act natural, big reactions—and everything should be smooth sailing from here.” Sounds contradictory, but you’re not about to talk back to a guy that threatened to bury you deep in the woods.
After he finishes explaining, the ride attendant helps you and Gaeul into the ride, and you begin your ascent into the sky. It feels like cruel irony, finally getting the chance to spend alone time with Gaeul, but not actually getting to spend alone time with her.
With a sigh, you muster up the biggest fake smile you can and start to act. “Wow, ferris wheels are so fun, I can’t wait to—”
“You can drop the act now,” Gaeul chuckles.
Your head tilts in curiosity. “What do you mean? Didn’t Mr. Park say that—”
“I convinced some of the crew to turn off the cameras this time around,” she explains. “We’ll have to ride again and play up the reactions, but for this time at least, we can just talk.”
You let out a sigh of relief and slump back into your seat. Finally. “Thank God for your influence, I don’t know if I could keep up the acting.” She smiles, mimicking your movements and lazing against the seat across from you. “Yeah, that’s probably one of the things I like least about this job.”
“Man, it must be tiring putting on a mask every single day for the cameras.”
She shrugs. “It could be worse. At least I get to do this with you, small fry.” Gaeul flashes a bright smile at you, and unlike the smile she dons while the cameras are rolling, you can feel the genuine warmth travel from across the booth. “So, have you been after all this time? I’m sure you have a bunch of stories from the years we’ve been apart.”
“So many,” you reply. “I don’t even know where to start.”
“How about high school? I never got to properly experience it for myself, y’know.”
“Right, wow, okay.” You sit up, barely able to contain your excitement at the chance to properly talk about things with her. “So, freshman year, I—”
“Is that the first one?”
“Yeah, it’s the first one,” you answer, chuckling at her curious expression. “So, freshman year, it’s a new school, whole bunch of new people, and obviously you weren’t around anymore, so I decided to join a school club.”
“Wow, really? You were basically attached to my hip all throughout middle school, I never thought you’d actually go out of your way to join a club,” she teases. “What club was it?”
“It was, uh…” You clear your throat, suddenly feeling very embarrassed under her gaze. “...the esports club.” You brace yourself for the incoming barrage of mockery and laughter, but instead, you’re met with Gaeul’s eyes brightening with awe.
“That makes so much sense, you always were good at video games!” she compliments. “How was it, were you any good?”
With your ego now inflated, you smirk and cross your arms. “Not to brag, but I did carry my team to 2nd place of the state championships,” you boast.
“Hey, that’s amazing!”
You can hear it in her voice, plain as day, that there’s not a hint of sarcasm or malice behind her words—she’s genuinely impressed by your silly little esports accolades. Being part of that club did little to boost your popularity and only served to make you the target of some bullying, but it was also some of your most cherished memories from high school. When you felt lost navigating that new environment without Gaeul, that club was the only thing keeping you together.
“Oh, I have to ask—what were school dances like?” Gaeul inquires, a glint of curiosity in her eyes.
You let out a heavy sigh as you think about all the bad experiences at each school dance. If the esports club was the highest high of your high school days, then school dances were your lowest lows.
“They were… not great. For me, at least. I was probably an outlier for that kind of thing,” you mutter, sinking back into your seat as the weight of those awful experiences pulls you down.
“Oh… sorry,” Gaeul says, your gaze drifting to the side. “Why, did you have a bad date or something?”
“I had no date, Gaeul. I was in the esports club,” you clarify. “Besides, I never bothered trying to ask out a girl during high school anyways.”
“Why not? You’re a nice guy, I’m sure any girl would’ve been lucky to go out with you!” she exclaims.
You chuckle. “Thanks for the vote of confidence, but there wasn’t really anyone I wanted to ask to a school dance.”
“Really? Not a single person you had a crush on?” She leans into you with curiosity, not realizing the proximity of your faces. You can see every single detail of the visage that you grew up with, analyzing how much has changed and yet still stayed the same. Those big, round eyes that light up when you mention frogs or crack a clever joke. The puff of her cheeks every time she tries—and fails—to hold in a laugh. The curve of her pretty lips whenever she calls you “small fry”. Remnants of your childhood together, still visible on the face you haven’t stopped thinking about ever since she left.
You lean back in your seat, the lack of space becoming too overwhelming. “I-I, um…”
“Aha! You did have a crush on someone!” she shouts excitedly. “Who was it? You better tell me their name, or else!”
“U-uh, h-her name? Um… Uh… A-autumn,” you sputter out nervously, too frazzled to think straight. Great job, you idiot. ‘Autumn”? Now she’s gonna know that you have a crush on—
“What a pretty name! Was she cute?”
“Huh?” Dumbfounded, you decide to take it and roll with it. “Uh, I mean, yeah, she was cute.”
“What was she like?”
“She was…” You pause, collecting your thoughts. The ferris wheel nears its peak as rays of sunset peek through the window, lighting up your carriage with an evening glow. “She was unimaginably amazing. She was strong and confident and determined and never let anyone’s words affect her. Whatever she wanted to accomplish, she could do it and make it look easy. She was also incredibly kind and hilarious and curious about the world around her, always asking questions with this admirable crave for more knowledge. And she was…”
At last, your carriage is lifted to the highest point of the ferris wheel. Like a spotlight, the setting sun projects the last of its light onto Gaeul’s face, illuminating her like the star that she was born to be. Mother nature paints her with the most beautiful shades of golden brown, casting an aura that only you get the luxury of seeing.
“...she’s beautiful.”
“Wow,” Gaeul breathes. The light from the sunset fades as it falls behind the horizon, yet Gaeul continues to glow with an aura that only you can see. “You must have really liked her, huh?”
“Y-yeah, I did…” you utter softly. “...but it was never gonna work out. She had big things planned, and I was always too nervous to ask her out anyways, so… it’s whatever.”
“That sucks.” She leans her head against the window and takes a deep breath. The excitement she held in her expression earlier disappears, revealing something more real, more vulnerable. “I’m actually kinda jealous of you, y’know.”
“Really? Why?”
She sighs. “I never got to experience any of that for myself—clubs, dances, crushes… all of it. Once I became a trainee, every single day was dedicated to training, with barely any time for fun or enjoyment or a social life. Some days, we’d barely even have time to eat or sleep.”
You always saw Gaeul as this bright ball of energy, even when she was on your screen as IVE’s Gaeul. To see her like this is something else entirely.
“When things were the hardest, I’d think about you,” she says, a melancholic grin growing on her lips. “I’d think about all the fun adventures we had and imagine all the new adventures we could’ve had. I wondered what you were doing, if you were even thinking about me…”
Every single day.
“I’d pray that when I wake up the next morning, I would be back in my old bedroom and you would be waiting outside my door like you always did, and then we’d run off to the forest and do whatever we wanted. No expectations, no late nights, just pure freedom.”
The urge to comfort her makes your heart ache. You want to hold her in your arms and tell her what you really feel. Tell her that the day she left was the day that your entire world came crashing down. Tell her to take your hand and run away with you, live the life that you’ve been dreaming of since you were kids. Tell her how much she means to you and that you never want to be away from her again.
But you don’t. You bite your tongue, suppressing all the feelings threatening to bubble up. She worked hard to get where she is, pouring blood, sweat, and tears into the dream she’s been talking about since the two of you were kids. You’re not going to ruin that for her just for your own selfish reasons.
“On the bright side, look where you are now!” you say in an attempt to cheer her up. “World famous Kpop star, loved by billions all over the world. A-and I turned out okay too, so, y’know… Everything is good.” Despite your attempt to sound cheerful, the weight of your true feelings seeps into your words. The carriage fills with a heavy tension that hangs in the air.
“Yeah,” she mutters, her gaze falling to the darkening scenery outside. “Everything is just… great.”
______________________________________________________________
“ALRIGHT PEOPLE, LAST SCENE OF THE DAY! AFTER THE TEST RUN, WE ONLY HAVE ONE CHANCE, SO LET’S MAKE IT COUNT!” Mr. Park yells, his voice the epicenter of all the commotion.
After a couple more hours of rides and other attractions, it was time to finish filming the final part of the episode, the fireworks show. For the most part, the last couple hours of filming went smoothly, aside from the fact that Gaeul wouldn’t talk to you when the cameras weren’t rolling. The shift from her idol persona back to her regular self was eerie enough already, but seeing all that faux joy disappear the second Mr. Park yelled “cut” filled you with an all-new kind of dread. Is this it? Are you just going to finish filming and leave things like this, without knowing if you’ll ever get the chance to see her again?
You spot her in the distance, getting her makeup touched up by her makeup artist. The sea of frantic staff members never seems to end, but you push through anyway, determined to patch things up before the night ends.
“Gaeul!” you call out to her. “Can we ta—”
Her brick wall of a bodyguard stops you in your tracks with a firm grip on your shoulder.
“Ms. Gaeul would like to be left alone.”
“I just need to—Ah!” His grip tightens on your shoulder until you feel like it’s about to be ripped from its socket.
“I said, she wants to be left alone.”
You huff in frustration. “Look man, my best friend in the whole entire world is upset with me right now and I need to fix this, so would you please cut me some slack and let me talk to her for five fucking minutes!?” Despite the pain in your shoulder becoming borderline unbearable, you muster up the most threatening look you can. Thankfully, his grip on you loosens and your arm somehow doesn’t pop off from your body. Did he actually get scared by the look you gave him?
“It’s okay, Mr. Kim,” Gaeul says, walking out from behind him. Go figure. “I got it.”
Her bodyguard backs off, giving the two of you some space to talk. “Thanks, I was worried Mr. Park would have to CGI me a new arm,” you joke, trying to ease the tension. Gaeul’s lips curl slightly into a grin as she shakes her head at your dumb joke. It’s not much, but it’s progress. “Can we talk—”
“Follow me.” She walks off without another word, away from the filming location. Not wanting to get on her bad side again, you follow her in silence.
Gaeul leads you through the bustling crowds, down a narrow, unlit pathway tucked between two food stalls. The sounds of the park grow fainter with each step until all you can hear is your own breathing and the echo of your footsteps. As long as you’re able to clear the air with her, it doesn’t matter where she takes you. You’d gladly walk all the way to the ends of the Earth if it means you won’t part on bad terms.
Finally, Gaeul stops at a small, secluded lookout point. A sturdy railing, its paint chipped from years of wear and tear, stretches across the edge of the platform, offering a view of the whole amusement park below.
“Back when we were trainees, the company let us visit this exact amusement park as a reward for doing well on a monthly evaluation,” Gaeul explains, leaning against the railing. “We ended up finding this quiet little area. It gives the best view of the fireworks show.”
You take your spot next to her and look out at the park below. Multicolored lights dance freely in the night sky to the unpredictable tune of the park goers’ joyous screams. You can’t help but grin at the thought of a younger Gaeul being able to relive a piece of her childhood that she missed out on.
“It must have been a lot of fun,” you say.
“I wouldn’t really know.”
“Hm? What do you mean?”
A pensive escapes her lips into the open air. “I mean, it was fun, but… I just couldn’t stop looking for your face in every person we passed by.”
“Oh.”
“While the others were watching the fireworks, I was looking down at the crowd, hoping that I could see you again.”
“I-I, uh… I’m sorry, Gaeul—”
She lets out a hollow snicker, the sound barely carrying any amusement—just exhaustion. “What do you have to be sorry for? I should be the one apologizing. Back in the ferris wheel, when you said that ‘everything is good’, I just… I don’t know, I just broke down. Hearing you say that made me feel like you… forgot about me.”
“Hey,” you utter gently, placing your hand on her shoulder. “It doesn’t matter how long it’s been; you’re my best friend, Gaeul. I would never forget about you. Not a day has gone by where I haven’t thought about you.”
She turns to you, a cute pout on her lips and her eyes glistening with tears. “Really?”
“Of course, dummy,” you chuckle. “And it’s kinda hard to forget you when I see you literally everywhere.”
Gaeul rests her head on your shoulder, her chest rising and falling with gentle laughter. “I’m sorry for being an idiot and ignoring you all day, small fry.”
Tentatively, you wrap your arm around her shoulder, pulling her close. “It’s okay. I’m just glad I was able to talk to you before the day ended.” You feel her snuggle into your side, the warmth from her body a thousand times better than you could ever imagine it. The pounding of your heart echoes in your ears, screaming at you to say something.
You gulp in an attempt to quell your nerves. “A-actually, I’ve also, uh, been an idiot today. There’s something I need to tell you that I should’ve told you earlier.”
She shifts to look up at you, her eyes beaming like stars in the night sky. “What is it?”
“I-I, um… Gaeul, I—”
A ball of fire shoots upwards into the sky and bursts into a sparkling flurry of bright red. More follow soon after, whizzing past and painting the indigo sky with an array of colors. Gaeul excitedly climbs up the railing to get a better view, her expression filling up with a joy more genuine than any reaction she showed in front of the cameras.
Your heart aches as you look up at her—you love her. You love her so much that you want to scream it from the top of your lungs until your voice grows hoarse. Today could be the last time you ever see her. You need to tell her. Forget about all the consequences and just say it.
Gaeul turns to look down at you, a smirk playing on her lips. “This angle seems a bit familiar, don’t you think?” she teases, ruffling your hair. The chilly night air enters your lungs. Every color of the rainbow reflects against her perfect skin. All caution is thrown to the wind.
You push yourself onto your tippy toes and press your lips against hers.
The kiss couldn’t have been more than a second, just a mere peck, but the feeling still lingers on your lips like electricity. A long moment passes with nothing but the crackling of fireworks filling the space between you. The overwhelming heat against your cheeks makes it nearly impossible to make out her reaction. Is she disgusted? Upset? Angry?
Yet, all of your worries melt away as Gaeul falls into your arms, capturing your lips in hers once again. Years of pining and waiting, watching her fancams until the ungodly hours of the night, showing support for her in any way you can without ever knowing if she’ll notice your efforts, all of it culminates into that sweet, tender kiss. Tomorrow brings a plethora of unknown challenges, but all that matters is right now, in each other’s arms where you’ve been dying to be.
You break the kiss for a moment, a truth you’ve been waiting to release resting on your tongue. “Gaeul, I love you—”
“I know,” she interrupts, her voice light and airy. “I love you too, small fry. So, so, so much.”
Your lips break into a smile so wide your cheeks start to ache. “Not that I’m complaining, but how did you know—”
“Autumn? Really?” she teases, her hands cupping your cheek. “You might as well have confessed to me in that ferris wheel.”
You sink your face into her touch, treasuring every second of warmth. “I wish I did. Maybe then we would’ve had more time to be like this before we have to say goodbye.”
“I’m never, ever leaving your side again, you hear me? The company will just have to deal with it.”
You let yourself get lost in her lips once again, with no intention of ever finding your way back. The road ahead will no doubt be filled with hardships and uncertainties, but there’s no one else you would rather start this adventure with than the girl that made your world a little less lonely.

Oh, baby
arthur morgan x reader
summary: arthur being a sweet baby daddy, even if you aren't as optimistic
wc: 2k
tw: accidental/unwanted pregnancy
all pics taken from pinterest
based on this request
a/n: yeeeehaw finally back from my break
Getting pregnant wasn’t ever something you planned nor wanted to happen. Hooking up with Arthur, you were aware of the possible consequences. Both of you were, but the consequences aren’t something you thought about during the heat of the moment. And now you were living with them. Suffering through them.
Meanwhile Arthur didn’t seem so upset. You supposed you were somewhat lucky he was the one that got you pregnant, he wasn’t running off or pretending it wasn’t happening. But his optimism was starting to piss you off. From the day you had told him, he’s been attentive, caring, and a little happier. He wasn’t that grumpy guy the gang had known anymore. Now, he had a reason to be happy, perhaps even to live.
“Brought you somethin’.”
Arthur’s voice cut through the spiraling thoughts in your head as you sat alone by the fire. No bottle nor a cigarette in your hand, as it would’ve usually been. Now you had to be careful.
You looked at Arthur as he sat down beside you on the log. “What’s that?” You muttered as he handed you a small brown paper package.
He shrugged nonchalantly. “Open it and see.”
You frowned, but curiosity got the best of you and your fingers ripped the paper. Inside, there was a blanket. A new one, not stolen. It was neatly folded, soft, and warm. For the baby.
Your stomach twisted. The moment your fingers brushed over the fabric, it all felt even more real. As if it hadn’t already been real enough. And this wasn’t even the first thing Arthur had bought. If things were different, maybe you’d be happy. If you were different. But you weren’t. You didn’t want any of this.
“You keep buying all these things,” you said.
Arthur replied as if that was the most obvious thing. “Somebody has to think ahead.”
“And that somebody is you?”
“Well, I’m the father.”
You scoffed and shoved the blanket back at him. “Yeah, well, I don’t want it.”
“Ain’t for you,” he shot back, his tone softening when he realized he shouldn’t have snapped back so harshly, “it’s for the baby.”
You stood up. It’s been baby this and baby that for the past few months. No wonder it was starting to get on your nerves. “I can’t wait until this,” you gestured at your stomach, “is finally over so I can go get shitfaced.”
Arthur didn’t smirk, knowing it wasn’t a joke. He didn’t even reply, not having the words. He tried, he really tried to help you warm up to the idea. There wasn’t much he could do. He had searched for solutions to make your problem disappear. Doctors had the skills and tools to help you out, but the problem was it wasn’t legal. Doctors were scared of helping ordinary people in that matter, let alone outlaws wanted in many states with bounties bigger than the money you’ve ever made.
“I just… I hate this, Arthur,” you admitted finally, “I hate feeling slow. Weak. I hate the way y’all look at me like I ain’t me no more.”
Arthur stood up as well. Looking down at your face, he saw how glassy your eyes were. You didn’t want to cry, you were fighting it. “Ain’t nobody thinks you’re weak,” Arthur tried to assure you.
You scoffed. “Oh, please, don’t tell me you don’t see it. The way the gang treats me like I’m fragile. Like I ain’t spent the last few years robbing and shooting and killing right beside y’all.”
“Difference is, now you don’t live just for yourself.”
Arthur paused, and so did you. An uncomfortable silence settled between the two of you. The kind of silence that made the night around you feel overwhelming. You wished you could run, run away from all your problems.
Arthur continued, “I know this ain’t what you wanted. I know you’re scared—”
“I ain’t scared.”
But you knew he was right. You were scared, you had no idea how to be a mother. This had never been in the cards for you. You were an outlaw first, a woman second. And now, you were going to be a mother first.
Arthur let out a breath slowly. “Ain’t a crime to be scared,” he said, “hell, I’m scared too. But we can deal with this, you have me. Me and everyone else in this gang.”
“I don’t know how to do this, Arthur,” you muttered, your voice low.“I don’t wanna do this. I ain’t no mother material, and you ain’t exactly cut out to be a father either.”
Well, that hurt, but you had no idea about his past, about Isaac. The day Isaac and Eliza died, Arthur promised to himself that if he gets another chance, he’ll do better. And maybe you were his another chance.
“I tried,” Arthur sat back down on the log, his elbows on his knees as he stared into the dying fire, “tried to find someone, a doc, a midwife, someone who could help you. Ain’t no one who’d do it, not for us. Not for you. They’re scared to do it for normal folk, we can’t even dream of it.”
You opened your mouth to say something, but then closed it without a word. You swallowed, despite your mouth being suddenly dry. There really was no way out.
You sat down next to Arthur, closer than ever, so close your legs touched. The thing that really got to you was that he had tried. That he had gone looking, knowing well that helping you meant getting rid of something he clearly wanted to keep. Something that was important to him.
“Why?” You asked suddenly.
Arthur turned to look at you. “Why what?”
“Why did you try to help me?”
“Cause I care about you.”
Your throat tightened, and you hated it. You weren’t supposed to cry. Not over this. Not over him.
He continued. “I ain’t gonna pretend I don’t want this kid. I do. But I ain’t the one who’s gotta carry the burden, and I sure as hell ain’t the one who’s gotta go through all this. You are.”
You sniffed and looked away. “Well, ain’t no fixing it now, I guess.”
“No,” the man nodded slowly.
There was silence again, but now just a bit more comfortable. You could hear the soft hum of the night, a distant owl, the fire crackling in front of you, the wind dancing with the leaves. Maybe this wasn’t going to be that bad.
“Now,” Arthur gave your knee a light squeeze as he pushed himself to his feet, “you eaten yet?”
You rolled your eyes. “Of course I have. That thing makes me eat everything in sight.”
Arthur raised an eyebrow at you, his gaze telling you he didn’t exactly believe your words.
You huffed. “Okay. I haven’t.”
“That’s what I thought. Sit here for a moment.”
He turned around to bring you something to eat. Something he got in town, something that wasn’t Pearson’s stew.
And you weren’t going anywhere. You hadn’t moved from your place at the fire for the past few hours. That was how most of your days looked lately. From time to time, someone else would join you, but the more pregnant you were, the more snappy you were. At some point it became easier to leave you alone.
“Eat,” Arthur ordered as he gave you some bread, cheese, and an apple. Then, he reached into his satchel to take out a chocolate bar.
It was a lovely gesture. The food wasn’t some fancy dinner, but not like you expected anything fancy. Fancy isn’t a thing when it comes to any aspect of the outlaw life. The food was simple, but better than whatever was floating in Pearson’s stew.
“Thank you.”
You bit into the bread first, interchangeably taking bites of the cheese. Then, not having fully swallowed the cheese yet, you opened the chocolate and took a few bites. And later on you finished it off with the apple.
You didn’t deserve that kind of understanding. Arthur had wanted this baby. He was probably excited, dreaming about a future you couldn’t bring yourself to imagine. Even if he himself would deny it, you knew he deserved better.
Out of a sudden, you asked, “Why ain’t you mad at me?”
Arthur frowned. “Why would I be mad?”
“Because I don’t want this, and you do. I’ve been a pain in the ass to everyone, you included.”
“You have every right to be like this. Your body isn’t yours anymore. I’d be mad as hell if I were in your shoes.”
Arthur was so understanding it made you nauseous. You wanted to hit him and cuddle into him at the same time.
Then, you felt something. As you threw the apple core into the fire, you felt a weird sensation in your belly. Some shifting, pressing from the inside. Then, a sharp kick.
“What the hell?” You hissed, looking down at the curve of your belly.
Arthur straightened immediately. “What’s wrong?”
“It just kicked me,” your hands went to your stomach, fingers pressing against the spot, feeling the kick again. “You want me to throw you a real punch, little bastard?”
You heard Arthur laugh. His laughter was genuine, probably for the first time ever.
“You wouldn’t be laughing if a baby was trying to kick its way out of your guts, Arthur.” You groaned, rubbing a hand over your belly. Another kick made you jolt slightly. It wasn’t something you were used to, the baby didn’t kick before. “Keep that up and I’ll— ouch!”
Arthur’s laughter died down, and now he was just smiling as he leaned in. He hesitated before saying, “Lemme feel.”
You looked at him with disbelief. “What?”
“The baby. Lemme feel the kicks.”
You sighed, eyeing him for a moment before grabbing his wrist and placing his hand on your belly. His touch was warm, but soft. When you let go of his wrist, his hand practically hovered millimeters above your skin as if he were scared of pressing too hard.
For a second, there was nothing. You were about to tell him to forget it when another kick landed right against his hand. Arthur stilled completely. You could see his face firstly flash with a surprise, which soon switched into a smile. He looked damn near mesmerized.
“Well, I’ll be damned,” he muttered, eyes focused on where his hand rested.
You could see it in his face, how much this meant to him. It was strange, seeing Arthur Morgan like that. He looked younger somehow, hopeful in a way you hadn’t seen the whole time you knew him.
You scoffed, trying to ignore the lump forming in your throat. “Told you. Little shit’s got an attitude already.”
Arthur grinned. “Must take after you.”
You looked at the man as he kept his attention on your stomach. Nobody was arguing, nobody was scheming, nobody was running from the law. Just the two of you sitting there, Arthur’s palm resting against your stomach, feeling the proof of the thing that had turned your whole damn world upside down.
After a while, he finally broke the silence. “You ever think maybe this don’t gotta be as bad as you think?”
You didn’t answer right away, because, yeah, you had thought about it. Not in a hopeful way, not in the way Arthur had, but in a tired, resigned sort of way. You weren’t getting rid of it. You weren’t running from it. Whether you liked it or not, this was happening.
Then, suddenly, all you said was, “We can’t let the baby become like us.” And your voice finally carried a softness that wasn’t there for the past few months.
Arthur smiled, finally pulling his hand away. “We won’t.”

nobody gets me when i say daniel x oscar x reader but i need it desperately
“What's an Aussie kiss?”
Or, the story of how Mark Webber’s existence led to a series of very fortunate events.
Warnings: smut, threesome, mention of alcohol, oral, brief anal play, the sloppiest two person blowjobs, just pure filth, anti FIA propaganda lmao, also bad dirty talk?
Being Daniel's ex-teammate, and current best friend, you knew a lot of Aussie slang.
And you'd learned even more upon becoming Oscar's teammate.
You were in a club, and for some godforsaken reason, you were squashed in between Mark and Oscar, with Daniel on the other side of the table in the small booth.
And then you'd met Oscar's manager Mark, and, well… whenever the three of them found themselves together, your head would start pounding within minutes of them starting a conversation.
“F1 has gone soft!” Mark slurred, already halfway into a coma. “And it wasn't even that long ago that we could swear freely and make dirty jokes without FIA cunts breathing down our necks!”
His drink sloshed around his glass as he spoke, and you managed to dodge the spills despite being in the splash zone.
Daniel laughed and added “Yeah, you couldn't talk about Aussie kisses nowadays without being fined!”
The three of them laughed freely, taking sips of their drinks.
Everyone had seen the famous clip of Mark.
Unfortunately, you had not. And that delightful little nugget had never come up in conversation before.
So you turned to Mark, and drunkenly asked “What's an Aussie kiss?”, much to the delight of your two fellow drivers.
“You'll find out when you're older, kid” he smirked and you scoffed.
When he tried to get up to order more drinks, he swayed so badly that Daniel had to catch him to avoid him falling onto the table.
“Okay old man” he chuckled “let's get you an uber while you're still conscious”
He led Mark through the crowd towards the exit, leaving you and Oscar to laugh at their retreating figures.
“He's such a lightweight” Oscar giggled.
"You're one to talk!” you slapped him on the shoulder “Your cheeks are redder than a fucking Ferrari”
“Oh yeah?” he smiled at you, “At least I know what an Aussie kiss is” he bit his lip teasingly.
The way he said it made a shiver run down your spine. Despite not knowing what it meant, you felt the urge to ask him to show you.
You were suddenly very aware of how close you were, and the heat of his thigh against yours made your stomach clench.
You cleared your throat, breaking the awkward tension and took a shy sip of your drink.
“Don't suppose you’re going to tell me, are you?”
He chuckled and bumped his knee against yours under the table.
“Like the old man said, you'll find out when you're older” he teased.
Even though there was only a year between you two, you always felt like he was the mature one of the team. The older and wiser teammate.
You found that quite attractive, if you were fully honest. And with the amount of alcohol in you system, you definitely wouldn't hesitate to say so if asked the question.
“Fine, I'll just ask Daniel, I'm sure he would be happy to show me”
Oscar rolled his eyes dismissively, absolutely hating the idea of you going to someone else, just as Daniel stepped back into the booth and sat down where Mark had been a few minutes before.
His thigh was now firmly pressed against you, and you suddenly felt very overwhelmed by their presence.
“Dannyyy” you whined “Oscar won't tell me what an Aussie kiss is!”
Daniel just laughed.
“That's because he probably doesn't have much experience in that domain. I on the other hand-“
“Uh, actually I have more than you think!” Oscar interrupted and Daniel grinned at him.
“Sure you do Piastri, but I’ve had at least a decade of practice more than you so-“
Oscar scoffed and gave him the finger.
“Guys!” You slapped the table to grab their attention. “Just tell me and I’ll be the judge!”
Oscar hesitated. He was slipping into dangerous territory right now.
He was very attracted to you, and would love nothing better than to spend the night showing you his uhh… kissing abilities.
But you were all far too drunk to make any rational decision making, and Daniel's presence was making him uneasy.
Not to mention you were his teammate and friend.
Daniel was thinking along the same lines. You were his drunk best friend, and the last thing he wanted to do was take advantage of you.
“I'll tell you what” he piped up. “If you ask again when you're sober, we'll show you”
They nodded at each other. They both wanted you, but they needed you to be clear headed.
There was absolutely no chance you would remember this tomorrow, so this was their safest bet.
You warily agreed, and the subject was quickly changed.
What they didn't know, is that that night, before you went to bed completely hammered, you set a reminder on your phone.
“lok up Ausie Kiiis on gogle”
Well, at least it was readable to you the next day.
And you did look it up. And found the video of Mark, which made you laugh.
But as the night before came flooding back in your mind, you remembered Daniel's offer.
They wanted you. They wanted to do that to you.
Butterflies erupted in your stomach as the thought of the two of them between your legs made you gasp. Yep, it had to happen.
Daniel and Oscar really thought they were out of the woods when they didn't hear from you all day. But then, in the evening came a text from a group chat you'd created with the two of them.
There was a screenshot of the urban dictionary result, and few simple words that made both men twitch in their pants.
“Instructions unclear, demonstration necessary. Room 312”
Oscar being only a few rooms away in the same hotel meant that he got there within two minutes of his phone buzzing.
As soon as you opened the door your were lifted by your thighs and carried over to your bed.
He crawled over you, not giving you so much as a hello before he captured your lips in a bruising kiss.
He was going to make the most of Daniel’s delay.
You couldn’t help but gasp into it when you felt his hands wandering over your body teasingly, making quick work of your outer layers.
“Jesus Osc” you panted as his lips travelled downwards, sucking and nipping at the skin of your neck. “If you were this desperate to touch me you could have just asked”
He grunted into your skin, continuing his descent and leaving soft kisses over your barely covered breasts.
“Didn't know you'd be into it too.” He mumbled “I didn't want to make anything awkward”
Any response you had quickly died on your tongue when you felt a fingers brush against your clothed cunt.
“Soaked through your panties already?” he chuckled darkly, rubbing against you with more pressure.
You blushed, hips bucking against his hand.
“Please, Oscar” you whimpered into your hands that were covering your face.
“Please what?” he teased, sliding a finger under the fabric and ghosting it over your sensitive skin.
“Fuck me, please” you whined.
He laughed softly. “But darling, that's not why you invited me here, is it? And in any case I think we should wait for Daniel, don't you?”
You huffed impatiently.
“If you're that wound up, why don't you come here and let me use that pretty mouth of yours, hmm? It'll give you something to do while we wait…”
Daniel almost broke his neck by tripping in the stairs while running as fast as he could to get to you.
When he wrenched the door to your room open he scoffed at the sight of you on your knees at the foot of the bed.
“Couldn't even wait for me, could you. Bastards…”
He ripped his shirt off and made his way over to the bed.
“I had to shut her up somehow, she's so fucking needy” Oscar pulled you off his cock and helped you to your feet.
Daniel cooed and leaned down to kiss you, and expertly unclasped your bra while Oscar dragged your underwear down your legs.
The kiss with Daniel quickly turned filthy, and he walked you slowly towards the bed and pushed you down on it.
“So who gets first dibs?” Oscar asked, eyeing your body and smirking at the goosebumps appearing on your flesh as you gazed up at the two men.
“How about Oscar first, since he was gentlemanly enough to wait till you got here?” you offered and they shrugged in agreement.
“Works for me, that way I'll get to prove I'm better afterwards”
You and Oscar both rolled your eyes at Daniel's statement, and the younger man quickly spread your legs and kneeled in between them.
You were dripping already, and at the first swipe of his tongue through your folds, Oscar thought he'd died and gone to heaven.
He groaned, lapping up your juices, and then alternated between fucking you with his tongue and circling it around your sensitive clit.
You were moaning freely, gasping at every change of pace and pressure.
There was definitely no denying it, he knew what he was doing.
When he sucked on your clit your back arched, letting out whiny little moans as he made your legs tremble in no time, your thighs trying to close around his head.
Daniel, despite not touching you, was having the time of his life.
He was sitting next to you on the bed, and from this angle he could see every tremor, every micro-expression as you writhed under Oscar's undeniably skilled mouth.
You were exquisite in his opinion, and he hungrily watched your breasts heaving as you tried to catch your breath after Oscar made you come all over his face.
The younger man licked his lips hungrily as he stared up at Daniel, eyes challenging him to do better.
You barely got any reprieve before Daniel was pushing Oscar out of the way and bending your legs at the knees.
“Hold yourself open for me, darling”
You did as you were told, and looked down at him while he nosed along the crease of your inner thigh.
He pushed his tongue inside you, and you let out a gasp when his nose brushed against your clit as he moved.
The tip of his nose was quite cold, and the difference in temperature was surprisingly pleasurable.
But Daniel didn't plan on staying there for long, he'd come to win, even if that meant playing dirty.
He gave your clit a teasing suck before releasing it with a pop, and slowly, his tongue made its way lower, exploring your taint, and eventually making contact with your tight rim.
The new feeling made you shudder, and he brought a hand up to thumb at your clit in a steady rhythm while he worked his tongue against your ass.
Your nails were digging into your own thighs where you were holding them open, and a quick glance at Oscar's expression told you he was not happy, despite being obviously turned on.
Once Daniel could feel you loosening, he prodded his tongue inside you a little, and the sensation was so foreign to you it forced a shaky moan from your throat.
You felt Daniels smirk against your skin and he quickly retracted his tongue, and slowly made his way back up.
You were rapidly approaching the edge now. And the renewed attack of his mouth on your cunt was promising a spectacular finish.
Then you felt a slight pressure lower down.
He was rubbing his thumb against your asshole, aided by your dripping juices.
He applied some pressure, and his thumb easily slipped inside, carefully massaging your walls while his tongue lapped at your clit hungrily.
It took you seconds.
You came with a loud cry as you arched your back, riding out the waves of your intense orgasm, through which Daniel helped you gently by slowing down his movements until you were shaking under him.
He sat up and grinned at you from above.
“So? Who was better?”
“That's not fair, you cheated!” Oscar huffed indignantly.
“I did not! It isn't specified how low we're allowed to go”
“But you used your fingers! I didn't”
“Well yeah, you gotta make use of all your assets” he wiggled his brows.
They looked at you expectantly.
“If one of you isn't inside me in the next 30 seconds I am kicking you both out” you muttered at the ceiling.
They chuckled and shuffled around the bed.
You ended up on top of Oscar, sinking down on his surprisingly thick cock while Daniel sat next to Oscar's head.
You leaned down to take him into your mouth and he grabbed your hair in his fist in a makeshift ponytail.
“So eager to please, isn't she Oscar? I think we’ve struck gold with this one”
Oscar started thrusting into you slowly, and your deep groan around the cock in your mouth made Daniel mad with need as he watched you take him down eagerly.
He then noticed Oscar was eyeing his cock with something akin to hunger in his eyes.
“You look jealous, Oscar” he teased. “Fancy a taste?”
He pulled you off him, and Oscar licked at his tip teasingly.
You didn't feel like stopping though, so soon Daniel had two mouths on his cock, licking and sucking at his shaft.
“Jesus Christ, you two are so fucking hot, what the fuck”
You and Oscar worked in tandem, lips making brief contact as you made out with the cock between you.
It was truly a porn worthy performance and Daniel could feel his composure slipping.
“Fuck- stop, I'm gonna come too soon”
He pulled you off and shuffled backwards, taking a quick breather, and Oscar laughed meanly.
“The old man's gonna come first, that's funny”
He was obviously just goading Daniel, but the evil glint that suddenly appeared in the older man's eyes as he got an idea made his stomach churn.
“Wanna swap then?” he grinned, and Oscar nodded eagerly.
Daniel lay down so you could climb on top of him, rolling your hips slowly to get used to the slightly lengthier cock, and Oscar kneeled next to him, mirroring the position from before.
You took him down to the base first, the taste of your own slick making your eyes roll back in your head, and Oscar couldn't resist thrusting into your mouth a few times.
“Fuckin’ hell, why were we arguing over who's better when her mouth is clearly superior”
He gasped when you swallowed around him and used your tongue to trace the underside of his cock.
Then you let him go with a pop, and looked at Daniel with a smirk.
The two of you got to work, worshipping Oscar's cock with your mouths and he marveled at the sight.
But then Daniel decided he needed to prove his superiority.
He licked down the vein on the underside, slowly inching towards Oscar's balls.
He licked over them, and took one into his mouth, gently sucking on it just to make Oscar lose his mind.
“Jesus, Daniel… fuck-“
With Daniel working wonders down there, and you making your way up his body, currently scraping your teeth over one of his nipples, he was scared of coming before he'd even had a chance to savour the experience.
Daniel huffed under him, drawing his attention.
Apparently his tongue could just about reach behind Oscar's balls, but the position didn't allow him to go any further.
“Sit on my face” Daniel panted.
“What?” Oscar squeaked, sure he'd misheard.
“You heard me, come here” he slapped Oscar's thigh to get him to move.
Oscar didn't hesitate for long, he swung a leg over Daniel's head and hovered, facing you as he bit his lip to hide just how aroused he was at the idea.
Daniel wrapped his arms around Oscar's thighs and slammed him down onto his eagerly waiting mouth.
Oscar let out a high pitched moan and had to stabilise himself with a hand on Daniel's chest.
You grabbed his hair and pulled him in for a rough kiss.
Daniel somehow had the dexterity to pound into you from below while eating Oscar out like his life depended on it, and all the two of you could do was pant into each other's mouths as Oscar came untouched all over Daniel's chest and his own hand.
He crawled away, and Daniel grabbed your waist to pull you down onto his cock while he rolled his hips up into you.
“You close, beautiful? You gonna come all over my cock?”
You nodded desperately, the new angle and speed was making you cry out in pleasure as it built up rapidly inside you.
“Do it then, show Oscar what a good girl you are and come right now, baby”
How you managed to stay upright will always be a mystery. The force with which your orgasm washed over you was enough to make your voice crack and your vision go momentarily dark while you rode out the most intense pleasure you'd ever felt before.
While you waited for the feeling in your legs to come back, Oscar went to grab a washcloth to clean you all up.
You were lying on the bed, limbs akimbo while Daniel’s cum dribbled out of you.
“Remind me to thank Mark Webber” you said and the other two guffawed in disbelief.
“You want to thank him? What about us, we actually fucked you!”
You laughed. “You're right! Maybe I should ask Mark to fuck me!”
The other two groaned.
“Never say that again”
You all got into bed, you in the middle, facing Oscar while Daniel spooned you from behind.
“Well at least now I know” Daniel muttered.
“Know what?” you asked.
“That Piastri likes getting his ass ate” he chuckled and you burst out in a fit of giggles.
“Fuck you” Oscar groaned.
“In your dreams Piastri” Daniel chuckled.
“Next time, I'm fucking you”
“Ha!” Daniel laughed “As if !”
But you saw the defiant look in Oscar’s eyes.
You knew him in and out, he was not going to back down from a challenge.

Three Peaks - George Clarke
Warnings: none, some swearing
Thank you for the request! I have some serious writers block right now so bear with as the time between posts may be a little longer. I appreciate you!
———
"I don't know how I got roped into this one" I adjusted the microphone I was securing to Chris' t-shirt. He chuckled, patting my shoulder as I finished.
"Well, there aren't many of you fit enough to actually climb three mountains so it was quite the easy choice." Chris said. I sighed, shaking my head. Mentally slapping myself for telling Chris casually that I enjoyed a good hike.
Chris had the thought for a video that honestly, I couldn't even make fun of. It was a really well thought out idea. A group of his friends and crew tackling the three peaks challenge. Which is essentially just climbing three mountains in 24 hours. Seems damn near impossible, especially considering the group he had.
I had been part of Chris' camera crew for almost a year now, and I felt like I had really found a good group of friends in this job. Outside of filming I had been hanging out with Chris and his core group frequently. Many nights spent out at different pubs, or simply hanging out at their flat.
"Let's get going shall we?" Chris began to lead the group. I stuck towards the middle, filming the boys who had taken the lead.
Reev, Chris, and George led the pack as we began the ascent to the top of our first mountain.
"I can already tell this is going to be fucking awful." I heard from behind me. I turned my head to see Arthur Hill beginning the days complaints.
"George you owe me a tenner!" Television shouted from beside him.
"What?" I asked in confusion.
"I placed a bet that Hill would be the first to complain." Television explained. I threw my head back laughing, panning the camera to catch Hills reaction. He deadpanned and just stared at the camera.
"Don't worry Arthur, I'm not looking forward to this either."
Each boy had been given their own special challenge for the video, and I was really enjoying watching Reev attempt to put rocks in the boys shoes.
"What's your challenge?" I asked Chris as I caught up to him.
"I need to get someone to believe a fake fact about each mountain." He whispered to the camera.
"That feels alarmingly easy considering the group we're with." I said. He agreed and told me he was already scheming up his first lie to tell Arthur.
We had been climbing for close to two hours by this point, and we were nearing the peak.
"Enjoying yourself love?" George asked me as he took a seat on the rock next to me.
"It's not nearly as bad as I expected it to be, I'll be honest." I snacked on the apple slices I packed, offering one out to George.
We sat in a comfortable silence, watching the others as they bantered back and forth with each other.
I sat and admired George as he laughed, not being able to help myself from laughing along. He had an infectious laugh. Chris caught me staring at George and raised an eyebrow at me. He was the only one of the group who knew I had somewhat of a crush on George. I had unfortunately admitted it to him accidentally after one drink too many during a pub crawl.
We had all gotten up again to keep our pace going up the mountain. The terrain upwards wasn't too bad. The most annoying part by far was having to continue to film while simultaneously making sure I didn't fall down.
"I never thought this would end!" Arthur Hill screamed as we reached the peak.
"I'm sure you're used to hearing that in bed." Harry joked with him patting him on the back.
We all shared a laugh and took in the nice view. It wasn't long before we realized that 'huh, guess we just go down now' and begin to descend the mountain.
I trailed behind Chris and ArthurTV, catching some of their conversation as Chris tried to convince Arthur that some celebrity had been the first person to complete this challenge. I had to actively hold in a giggle as I knew Chris was having him on with his challenge.
During my distracted state, I felt myself slide to the side as my foot hit a loose rock that sent me falling down. Instinctively deciding to protect my camera, I took the full brunt of the fall to my hip and legs.
"Shit, are you alright?" George asked jogging to catch up to me.
Catching my breath after scaring myself with the fall, I nodded towards him. I turned my camera off and stuck it in its carrying bag beside me, examining my ankle.
It was fairly scraped up, and was slightly throbbing. Nothing that felt it would be too crazy but painful nonetheless.
A few of the others called out to see if I was okay. I gave them a thumbs up.
"I'll stay with her and help her down, you guys can go ahead we'll just be a few minutes." George called back to them.
"Does it hurt?" He asked me, grazing his fingertips over my ankle to assess.
"Not a ton, I think I was more shocked by the fall than anything. I'll be fine George, thank you for staying behind with me." I smiled at him, noting his features contorted with uncertainty at my words.
He stood up, holding his hands out for me to help me up. I happily grabbed them and put pressure on my ankle, feeling a tinge of pain but it was bearable.
I stood upright, George still holding onto my hands to make sure I was steady. He never took his eyes off of mine, scanning my face for any sign of pain.
"I'm good George, I promise." He smiled at me, squeezing my hands.
"I think it's time to reveal my challenge to you." His words took me by surprise as I had no idea where this topic had come from.
He let go of my hands, fishing around in his pocket and pulling out a cue card similar to the other boys. He unfolded it and turned it towards me.
In small, easily recognizable handwriting I read off 'tell Y/n you have feelings for her you dumb twat'. Chris. Of course Chris would write that.
I looked back up to him, his face flushed from either embarrassment or anxiety, I couldn't tell.
"I assume what's written there is true?" I asked George, looking to him for confirmation. He nodded, sliding the paper back into his pocket.
We both stood there a little awkwardly for a moment, neither of us being particularly good at the whole admitting feelings thing.
"Your feelings are mutual." I said, cutting the silence. His eyes widened at me, a smile breaking on his features.
He put an arm around my shoulder, pulling me closer for a hug.
"How about we talk more about this over dinner once we’re done with the next two mountains?” He propositioned.
I groaned, “I forgot we still have two fucking mountains to go.” He laughed as I pouted.
He slid his hand up to my cheek, bringing his face closer to mine and connecting our lips in a short, sweet kiss.
“This should give you something to look forward to” he said as he pulled away. It was my turn for my cheeks to turn pink. Despite how tired and sweaty we already were, he still looked absolutely perfect.
“I suppose I can make it through as long as you promise not to let me fall again.” He laughed.
“I’ll do my best.”
We walked downwards, eventually catching up with the others who had stopped for a water break.
“Finally you two made it! Began to think you two were shacking up up there!” ArthurTV exclaimed.
I rolled my eyes at him, laughing.
“Not quite shacking up, but my challenge is complete.” George bragged, Chris’ head shot towards us at these words.
“No way.” He said, looking to me for confirmation.
“Yes way” I replied, George put his arm over my shoulder once again and we watched as the mental cogs turned in the other boys heads.
“Oh my god he finally got the balls to tell her!” Arthur Hill screamed, jumping around like a fangirl.
I looked to George who just shook his head in embarrassment. “Did everyone know except me?” I asked only loud enough for him to hear.
“Yeah, pretty much.”
I knew then that the next two mountains would likely be sex jokes and embarrassing stories, and I was weirdly looking forward to it.

How would the pack react walking into Emily's house, and they're really loud, and they see their imprint sleeping on the floor?
this shall be interesting hope you enjoy :)
sleeping on the floor - pack x reader
Sam:
Boisterous noise is normal for the pack mates. Most of them talked loud of what happened during patrol and some talked about how hungry they were. The next tribe could hear their loud mouths. Sam was just ready to see his imprint. Seeing you asleep on the floor, he would make everyone silent with one word.
“Quiet.”
Firm and stern.
Kneeling to make sure that you are sleeping, he smiled softly at your figure and scoop you into his arms. You don’t even know that you had left Emily’s house until you wake up in the warm bed at the home you and Sam share.
Jared:
He talks loud. He laughs loud. He jokes loud. He enjoys it when his pack brothers are loud with him. Bringing vibrancy into the room or wherever they are, brings him immense joy.
Getting close to Emily’s home, both he and his wolf was excited to see their imprint. His pack brothers were loud as always and so was he.
Walking in and finding you asleep, his eyes zero in on you. He immediately tells everyone,
“Shut up. Y/N’s sleeping.”
It’s quiet as he walks over to you and scoops you into his arms and gently kisses your forehead.
“Just can’t keep off of the floor, huh?” he coos to you in a whisper in your ear. With that, he’s taking you home.
Paul:
Getting to Emily’s house meant getting to you. Depending on his mood, he’s in on the rowdiness or he’s just keeping to himself with you and the destination in mind.
He doesn’t mind the boisterous noise.
Pushing open the door, he finds you on the floor fast asleep. He would ask questions on why you’re on the floor later. But now, he has everyone quiet and has everyone’s attention when he grits out,
“Can you all shut the fuck up?”
You’re in his arms fast as he’s already heading out the door. You being disturbed meant that he was disturbed.
Embry:
Not minding his ribs and stomach hurting from the laughing at the jokes and shenanigans of his pack brothers, he’s making his way to Emily’s home.
He couldn’t wait to see you. Being away at patrol meant being away from you. His wolf itched to see you. The man in him itched to see you.
He stops in his tracks when he’s looking for you and finds you sleeping on the floor. Irritated that his pack brothers didn’t get the idea that you were asleep and they were being too loud.
A loud, “Shhhhh.”
It’s ringing through the house and everyone stops and be quiet.
You being picked up from the floor eases his worries as you are now in his arms being carried away. He moves out of the home so you both can go to the home that you both shared.
Jacob:
Being around rowdiness didn’t bother him. He could get just a rowdy. Especially when he disagrees with something. Loud debates that he would have with his pack brothers could be heard from anywhere.
Picking you up from Emily’s house was the thing he was looking forward to. Loud cackles rang in his ears and he enters the home to find you on the floor, asleep.
“Shut up! Shut up!”
They do shut up.
You’re picked up off of the floor and into his strong arms as he carefully takes you out of the house so he could lay right asleep with you, but, just in his bed.
Leah:
Most of the time, the loud boisterous voices got on her nerves. She joined in here and there if you were around, but you weren’t around this time.
You were over Emily’s and that’s where everyone was going to. They wouldn’t shut up about her food.
She just wanted to be close to you and touch you and smell you. She’s the first one through the door with you in mind. She stops in her tracks when she looks down at your sleeping figure on the floor.
“All of you! Shut the hell up.”
The pack was used to her bold nature so they indeed shut the hell up. You’re in her arms and you shift a bit from the change.
She rushed you to a bed for you to sleep in. Just somewhere where loud mouths wouldn’t be located.
Seth:
His pack brothers were talking loud and so was he. He laughed as everyone was outgoing. He liked to have fun. If there was fun and loud conversation, he would join and insert himself.
Heading in the direction of Emily’s home, he got excited as he got closer and closer to you.
Stopping at the doorway, he sees you sleeping, preventing anyone else from entering the home. They all ask him what’s his problem. Loudly.
“Y/N’s sleeping!”
Quietly, they all watch as Seth picks you up with his strength. Seth doesn’t bother to tell them that he’s leaving because he’s already out the door.

I genuinely intend to remain reinforcing that Phil Does Not Want To Do Lore On The Realm because I don't want the community's pushing to send him to the point of never doing anything like it again (I've seen this lowkey happen before in other fandoms).
BUT...
I see such a clear pipeline from trPhil's "no fuck you go away I'm burying previous trauma and pain in logging obsessively" to some sort of "fine, I admit I'm miserable because I lost family and friends AGAIN, and I will begrudgingly try soothing it with letting people in my bubble again" type surrender moment brought on by trSneeg because he's so persuasive and makes excellent points with pure logic and reason and the idea makes me salivate.
Obviously it's all 100% ooc jokes and even if it WAS intentional rp, we have no guarantee that trPhil is "main" (specifically q) Phil, but technically trPhil HAS vaguely opened up to trSneeg about the grief and scars he has in the wake of losing his children. trSneeg knows trPhil is bitter and still grieving. He can see that logging, no matter what trPhil insists, is Not helping him actually heal. It's just barely letting him cope.
It's the same old tricks rpPhil has always turned to to deal with baggage, immersing himself as much as he can in physical labor of some kind. His projects back home in Hardcore, the "trains in his basement" in DSMP after he had to kill his own son, all the building and looting and protesting he did on QSMP any time the kids were taken away from him.
And I think we've seen more than enough evidence to show that trSneeg could 100% keep his cool through all the stubborn and heated refusal trPhil would meet with his attempts to convince him to just be willing to socialize and invest in people again. Not even to join Yellow, just let himself have meaningful connections again, rather than sticking to tolerating his and trFit's presences (most of the time). Even though trPhil's evasive behavior has been reinforced (probably tenfold) after The Keepers assaulted him and destroyed his wings AGAIN, I think with the tenacity and confidence trSneeg exudes, he could slowly eventually coax trPhil into opening up again. Even if just a tiny bit.
Especially because he sees why trPhil is so adamant on sticking to his guns rn, he knows it's not JUST the factions and snails. He'd see it even if trPhil hadn't straight up told him multiple times already. Right away, trSneeg would make it very clear that trPhil would have no obligations to anyone or anything, that socializing doesn't mean he HAS to save people from the peril they face or take a side in the interpersonal conflicts they have or help them all figure out what the deal is with the eyes or the Keepers or anything else.
He doesn't have to put up with a snail that reminds him of his lost kids, he doesn't have to choose a side like it's Purgatory again, he doesn't have to get involved with the horrors people are going through like he often did with the islanders, he doesn't have to help solve/understand whatever is going on in The Realm like he did with The Federation and The Codes and everything else fucked up and strange on Quesadilla Island. If having friends is all he wants, he can have that.
And even if trSneeg STILL couldn't sway trPhil with All That, that would mean we'd get a gut-wrenching storyline about how after so many years of loving and losing again and again throughout his immortal life, rpPhil knows that pain is a part of love whether you want it to be or not, you can't have one without the other. He can't make connections here without signing up for the stress and pain that comes with it because that's what it means to care about people.
It's not just the most recent time putting him off from it all, it's an entire cycle he's been forced to suffer in for as long as he can remember, because that's what being immortal entails. He wants the cycle to end already. He can't stand being fully alone right now whether he admits it or not thanks to QI. His determination to isolate himself as much as he can while he's in The Realm is to slowly reacclimate himself to being alone so he can tolerate it in his home world again. When the loneliness gets unbearable, that's when he has no qualms with being pestered by people or goes to see what everyone else is up to. As that happens less over time, he'll go home again now that complete isolation doesn't hurt anymore (or more accurately: now that he's reconvinced himself it doesn't).
All of this is to say, trSneeg is 100% the guy that would break the ice under trPhil and get his story rolling, whether that means he embraces the pain of loving and caring again, or reinforces how hellbent he is on trying to escape it.

Sweetheart.
contains: college!AU, RE2Leon x Fem!reader, friends to lovers, kissing, suggestive at the end. This will have eventual smut in a future pt2!
I'm not an expert writing, English isn't my first language but interactions, reblogs and comments are appreciated!! enjoy :3
When you started college you were scared as fuck to be honest. All your teacher's from high school and even your parents told you that college was hell and it was a completely different environment for you, that you must be very careful and not go trusting in every person in your way.
They weren't wrong about it but to be honest college wasn't so bad as they pictured it. Yeah, there was some weird people that you wouldn't approach to them even if you got payed to do it but they didn't mess with you or something.
You would say that college was almost like high school if you weren't failing almost every subject in your first semester, that was definitely the hell part. However, you managed to improve in the second semester and it went 'easier' for you, at least you weren't failing anymore.
Well, actually...
You were failing mathematics.
Imagine your face when you saw the test and realized you didn't know a shit about algebra, you were most definitely cooked.
It was hard as fuck and no matter what, you wouldn't understand it. Thank God you had Leon, he was the first person that approached to you in college and since then you sticked to his side.
He was such a sweetheart and helped you a lot, made the study sessions more bearable with his incredible bad jokes and actually explained to you what you didn't understand in the class.
Even right now when he was seeing your test and explaining you why your answer were wrong so it wouldn't happen again.
"Now, seriously, what the hell went through your mind to think that this was the correct answer?" Leon said without looking at you, he was focused reading your failed test and he genuinely looked offended at whatever you put on there.
"It's not that bad! give me that." you said with a huff, taking the piece of paper from his hands and put it into your bag without much care.
"Oh it is bad..." He said with amusement, if he dared to laugh at you, you would punch him in the middle of his perfect face. "But hey, seriously... you need to get a better grade in the next test." Leon said softly. "You can come over to my room and I'll explain you the basics." He offered.
Leon always offered to help you with your studies and he actually did explain well. It's just that you sometimes didn't pay attention to him.
I mean, you did payed attention to him, just not to what he was saying...
In your defense, being alone with Leon in his room was an appealing idea... Just not to study. You wouldn't lie, you may have a little crush for him since the beginning but you always pushed those feelings aside because he only saw you as a friend.
"You mean, later today...?" you asked, raising a brown with curiosity which caused him to roll his eyes. "no, later next year. Of course later today, silly." Leon said with amusement and you huffed at him. "But it's friday..." you already had plans, going to a party, drink, dancing and maybe hook up with a guy and pretend that it was Leon. Last part is clearly a joke, don't do that! but anyway, college life is good.
"I don't care, see you at 6pm." He said playfully before leaving.
Fuck him, but you did wish that it was in the literal sense.
You were standing in front of his door and it was actually 7pm, ops.
but in your defense, you were busy getting ready to the party since you were lazy as fuck to to go to Leon's room then go back to your room, change your clothes, doing your make up and then go to the party, it would take her ages.
Before you could even knock the door, Leon had already opened it and it took him a moment to scold you for your tardiness since his cold blue eyes were roaming your figure and taking in your clothes option, now that was short skirt but the top was pretty, it was his favorite on you even if he never told you.
Leon cleared his throat before looking at you with a serious expression playing on his face. "first of all, you're one hour late. Second of all, why are you dressed like that?" He asked with curiosity, stepping aside to let you in before closing the door behind you.
"There is a party tonight at 9pm..." you said softly with a shrug before sitting on the edge of his bed and looking at him.
"I see, I hope that you don't drunk call me at 3am." He said playfully while sitting on the desk chair that was beside the bed. Anyway, he knew that if you called him he would pick you up without thinking twice but that isn't the matter here..
"I don't promise you anything.." you said with a chuckle while looking at him, he was dressed in grey sweatpants and a blue random shirt but damn, his biceps were on display. Focus, hoe!
Leon smirked at your answer and shook his head with amusement before searching for his notes. "Let's just get started with this so you can go to your party." He said softly.
An hour passed by with him explaining you the basics and teaching you how to do some exercises.
Honestly, you were having a bit of trouble focusing when he looked so fine and smelled so fine, you always wondered was cologne he uses because it smells heavenly. You also noticed him stealing some glances at you, more than usual.
Maybe it was because he was staring at your thighs and at how soft your skin looked... or maybe he was staring and your chest everytime you leaned closer to him to see what he was writing. he was most definitely having the time of his life when he caught you staring at him with pretty eyes while biting your pen before snapping back to reality and noticing how dumb you probably looked. He wouldn't call it dumb tho, more like hot but hey, he never said this.
"I think I got it, look." You said softly, passing him your notebook where you have just finished a exercise. Leon took notebook from you, his fingers grazing yours but seemingly completely oblivious of it.
He took a moment to check if it was good and you waited there patiently, when you heard a soft hum from him, you leaned closer. your head next to his and you rested your chin on his shoulder. "is it good?" you asked quietly.
Leon turned his head to look at you and now his face was mere inches away from yours. His eyes went directly to your lips and it took all his willpower to not kiss you right there since you were looking absolutely gorgeous there staring at him with doe eyes and glossy lips slightly agape.
Leon licked his lips and quickly looked back to your notebook. "Yeah, it's good." He said softly before looking back at you, you were smiling and looking at your book in his hands.
Leon didn't know why but his heart was beating against his chest, his hands felt sweaty and suddenly the room felt a lot warmer now, is the AC working or what the hell?
The tension was in the air and you when you met his gaze, you noticed his rosy cheeks and dilated pupils while he stared at every detail of your face. Suddenly, you remembered why you liked him. It's those cold blue eyes that look into you with intensity and adoration without failing.
You both just stared quietly in each other's eyes, none of you said anything or did anything even if your bodies were betraying both of you and itching for being closer to each others warmth.
It was such a comfortable silence, a silence that spoke volumes.
So it didn't surprise you when you hear the words. "I really want to kiss you." coming from Leon's mouth in a quiet tone as it was secret that he was telling you.
You just took a heavy breath while looking at his pink lips before nodding at him. that was enough for him to understand, he always understood your silence even if that happened rarely.
To be honest, you felt so cozy and warm when his lips touched yours. you swear that you felt butterflies in your tummy when he started to kiss you slowly, taking his time with you and his hand going to cradle your face.
It felt so right, Leon wonders why he didn't do this before. Why didn't he kiss you in every chance given?
It didn't took long before you were beneath him on his bed, kissing each other and exploring each other's body through the layers of clothes.
It seems like you weren't going to that party anymore... Leon's much better that any guy that you could found there anyway.
HEYYYYYYYYYY, I'll leave this here.
I'll probably make pt2 later that will included an attempt of smut since I still figuring out all this write thing, but anyway, enjoy!

HOUR 0
Vernon’s attention is pulled away from the movie by the buzzing of his phone. Grumbling a bit due to the interruption, he clicks on the notification. It’s a snap from Joshua, a picture of the departure times on the airport screen. All of the flights have “delayed” printed next to them in bold red letters. He captioned the picture with a frowny face. How fitting.
“Joshua’s flight is delayed,” Vernon says, looking up from his phone. Seungkwan doesn’t even glance up from where his gaze is fixed on the screen. A bit of popcorn falls from his hand as he shovels it toward his mouth.
Annoyed with the lack of response, Vernon tosses a throw pillow at him. It hits him square on the side of the face and he chokes on the popcorn in his mouth. Coughing a little, he eventually recovers. “Yeah, that sucks or whatever, but was that really necessary?” his roommate argues, finally pulling his attention away from the movie.
“Yes,” Vernon fires back, “you could at least pretend like you’re listening to me. And we should probably call Y/N.”
Seungkwan has the audacity to look at him like he’s confused. “Y/N? Why would we need to call her?”
The alpha slides a hand over his face in defeat. How did Seungkwan not see the problem here? “Josh was supposed to help her through her heat, like he always does. But now he’s not going to be here until at least tomorrow night or later and she’s due any second now.”
His roommate simply gives him a weird look, shaking his head a bit. “Go help her yourself since you’re so in tune with her cycle” he mumbles, turning back to the TV and shoveling more popcorn into his mouth.
Now it’s Vernon’s turn to be confused. Didn’t Seungkwan know that your heat hits every 3 months, on the 3rd week of the month, basically on the dot? Did his roommate not realize that you and Joshua both disappear on that same week like clockwork? And Joshua has outright talked about being your designated heat partner before, much to Vernon’s chagrin. If he had the choice, it would be him in your nest every 3 months. But you’ve never seemed to show any interest in Vernon and seem to be pretty content with the arrangement you and Josh have.
Seungkwan must sense his inner turmoil from the other side of the couch, because he’s turning back toward the alpha with a sigh. “Vernon, everyone knows you have a thing for her. Just offer to help with her heat.”
When Vernon said they should call you, he meant to say that they should comfort you. Assure you that you would be okay, regardless of if you found someone to take Joshua’s place. Especially knowing that today could potentially be the last day of pre-heat, he’s sure the lack of a partner is stressing you out right now.
But Seungkwan’s proposition sounds…like a horrible idea. While it makes his alpha rumble in delight, the rational part of him knows that it’s going to be detrimental for his heart. Seeing you in one of your most vulnerable states. Having sex with you. Getting to treat you like you are his and his only. Just for it to all end after a few days. How can he go back to being just friends with you after that?
He’s startled out of his stupor by his phone buzzing once again. But instead of a Snapchat notification, this time he’s met by your contact photo. You are calling him. He lets it ring for another second, before finally gaining the courage to answer. As he picks up, he walks out of the room, not granting Seungkwan the satisfaction of listening to his conversation.
When he brings the phone to his ear, he’s instantly met with you panicking. You’re rambling about something Vernon can’t quite understand, but what he does pick up on is the strain in your voice. You must have been crying. Something deep within his chest aches at the sound. Before you can finish, he’s shushing you. “Y/N, honey, you need to calm down, I can’t understand you.”
Vernon is a little startled at the “honey” that slips out of his mouth, and clearly you are too, with the way you’ve gone silent. The only thing that plays through his speakers is some muffled sniffling. “Good. Now tell me what’s wrong. Slowly.”
You sniffle a few more times. “Did Joshua tell you his flight was delayed?” you ask, quietly.
“Yeah,” Vernon says, a bit gentler now.
“He…” you pause, yet another sniffle coming through. “He was supposed to help me with my heat. And now I don’t think he’s going to be back in time. I haven’t spent a heat alone in years Vernon.”
His heart aches at the way your voice cracks when you say “years.” All he wants is to wrap his arms around you, offering as much comfort as he can. But alas, he’s here in his own bedroom while you are…well he hopes you are in your own home. “Okay,” he acknowledges. “What can I do to help? Who did you spend your heat with before Joshua?”
“Johnny,” you immediately respond. “But he moved away.”
“And before that?” Vernon asks.
“...my ex,” you sob. Well fuck, now he really feels bad. He didn’t even know you had an ex.
Sighing, Vernon rubs his forehead trying to figure this situation out. “Okay, there’s no one in this town right now that you would be willing to spend your heat with?”
There’s an awkward silence as he waits for your answer. Vernon squirms nervously. “I wouldn’t say no one…”
HOUR 2
Somehow that phone call ended up with a promise to help you. You made him pinky promise over the phone. Vernon doesn’t break promises. Especially not pinky promises made to basically-in-heat omegas.
So here he is now, standing in front of your door tentatively, a duffle bag in hand. He doesn’t know how long he’s been standing here, if he;s being honest. He should probably knock. But before he can, the door is yanked open and you pull him inside. “I could smell you just standing there you know,” you say, pulling his jacket off. “If you stood there any longer you would catch a cold.”
He finally takes a chance to look down at you. You’re clad in a green satin pajama set and wow you look good. Maybe it’s just his alpha brain speaking or your pre-heat pheromones swirling in the air, because it’s not really meant to be seductive. The shorts reach mid-thigh and the shirt covers everything except your neck and lower arms. But something about it is so enticing.
Catching himself slipping, he pulls himself out of his stupor. “How long do you have?” he asks, running his hands down the bare skin of your arms. You shudder in response.
“An hour or two probably,” you whisper, closing your eyes and breathing in his scent.
“Okay,” he responds, pulling away from your body. He tries his best to ignore your whines of protest. “Do you have anything prepped? Food? Water? Nest?”
You take a step closer to him. “My nest has been ready for like years. Josh usually makes some rice for us beforehand though.” You say the last bit with a pout, staring off toward your kitchen wistfully. Likely thinking of how you miss Joshua, his own alpha tells him with a bit of a growl.
“Just rice? Nothing else? What about water?” he asks once again.
“I’ve got a case of water in my room and a bunch of snacks. We make rice to store in the fridge because it’s fast to heat up and pretty much the only thing I can stomach once I’m fully gone.” The final stages of pre-heat are hitting, and Vernon can tell from the way you lay your head against his chest as you say the last part of the sentence.
Pushing you back up, he brushes some hair out of your face. “Okay. How about you take a nap while I make some rice?” You nod in response, lashes brushing your cheeks as you blink slowly.
He guides you toward your bedroom slowly, letting you lean against him for support. Once you get there, he stops at the threshold and lets you open the door. As you enter, he turns to leave, eager to get started on some cooking. But your voice stops him in his tracks. “Tuck me in?” You need to stop being cute or Vernon might actually implode by the end of this week. He glances nervously at the bed where your nest is made. You haven’t given him permission to enter yet.
Like you can read his mind, you sigh and say, “Vernon. I wouldn’t have asked you to help with my heat if you didn’t have permission to enter my nest.” He nods, like he knew that all along, and finally enters your room. It smells heavily of you. The scent weighs down on him and he feels his own gland pulse in response.
He follows you over to the bed, though it’s more of a mass of blankets and clothes than anything else. You plop down in the center and start to get comfortable as he hovers nervously at the side. That’s when he spots a hoodie of his own. One that he had thought he lost for some time now. One that mysteriously went missing after he and his friends watched a movie at your apartment. “You have one of my shirts in your nest?”
You eye the hoodie, nervously. Like you didn’t mean for him to see it. “You’re one of my friends and I trust you. I have a lot of things from friends in here.”
Vernon feels so conflicted. While he hates that you keep calling him a friend, part of him preens at the fact that you stole a sweatshirt from him just for your nest. “How does Joshua feel about having stuff from another alpha in your nest?”
“Well it’s my nest and he’s not my alpha,” you retort, rolling your eyes.
The words “he’s not my alpha,” ring through Vernon’s head. He’s not sure if the sentiment makes him feel better or worse. Taking a step forward, he pulls the blanket up to your shoulders, tucking the sides under your body. You hum in content. Once he’s satisfied with his work, he reaches up and ruffles your hair a bit. “Sleep tight bug.” You hum once again.
It takes a moment for Vernon to pull himself away from your nest and out to the kitchen. Though the stench of pre-heat is less concentrated outside of your room, it feels like it sticks to him. He feels lightheaded as he searches the cabinet for your rice cooker. What has he gotten himself into?
HOUR 5
Many bowls of rice later, Vernon finds himself checking your room once again. You’re sleeping peacefully, tucked into a little ball. He seats himself on the corner of the bed and reaches out to hold the back of his hand to your forehead. Just as he suspected, you’re burning up already. He knew your heat was likely to come faster in the presence of an alpha. Especially an alpha you know you’ll be spending it with.
The touch makes you whine a little bit in your sleep. Vernon can’t help but coo at the cuteness. Your eyes flutter open at the sudden sound. “It’s fucking hot,” is all you manage to say as you come to.
He chuckles a bit, pulling himself farther into your bed. “Yeah? Do you want me to help?”
Resting your head on his shoulder, you let out a little hum. “Please scent me.”
You don’t need to tell Vernon twice. He wiggles all the way into your nest, lying parallel to you. His nose meets the junction of your shoulder and you shiver in response. He drags his nose up and down the side of your neck, his alpha preening as goosebumps appear on your skin. Experimentally, he pokes his tongue out, taking the tiniest little lick at your gland. A sharp exhale leaves your mouth, but you don’t say anything. Taking it as a sign to continue, he licks a long stripe up your neck. Your heat pheromones taste sickly sweet on his tongue. If this is just how your skin tastes now, he can’t even imagine how sweet your slick will be in the throes of heat.
He switches sides now, using a hand on your jaw to softly tilt your head to the side. He repeats the same process as before, but takes some time to rub his cheek on the spot behind your ear. Your scents thicken together in the air. It must really stir you up, because you suddenly press your lower body against his. “Please,” you mutter, eyes still closed.
“Use your words bug,” he whispers into your ear. “Tell me what you want.”
You pant a bit, rolling your hips against his leg. It's at this moment that Vernon realizes he’s painfully hard already. God, he really hopes his gym habits are enough to sustain his stamina these next few days. “Want you to make me cum,” you tell him breathlessly.
You’re still grinding against his thigh and he realizes that this may be his chance to let you release some energy. If you tire yourself out at the beginning, the heat won’t be as strong later on. “Looks like you’re already doing it by yourself, bug. C’mon. Keep going.”
He wraps an arm around your waist, guiding your movements with a hand on your hip. With his help, you speed up. Vernon can feel a wet spot forming on his sweatpants and it takes a whole lot of self-restraint to keep himself from sniffing the air in search of your slick’s scent. “Need more,” you whisper. In response, he pushes his leg closer to you and flexes his quad. You gasp as your clit rubs deliciously on the muscle.
Vernon can tell you’re right on the edge. He feels your legs tremble, then he pulls away at the last minute. “What the fuck Vernon!” you exclaim breathlessly. When he looks up, your eyes are wide open, pupils blown and your chest is heaving. Oh, he so fucked after this.
“You’ll cum eventually, bug. I promise. But if I tease you enough, work you up enough, your heat will break for longer once you finally cum.” He explains, hoping you’re not too deep into the heat mindset yet. If you are, no explanation will work. You’ll be too far gone to understand anything but the need to orgasm and be bred.
He can see the skepticism on your face, but you give in. “Okay. But if you don’t make me cum soon, I’m making Josh take your place the second he gets back.”
At the mention of the other alpha, Vernon growls embarrassingly loud. Honestly, he didn’t even know he was growling until he saw the surprised look on your face. “Bug, I know it was just a joke but maybe don’t mention other alphas while I’m literally in your heat nest.”
You look back at him unamused. “Just make me cum Vernon.”
“As you wish, my lady.”
HOUR 7
So far, all of Vernon’s predictions have been correct. 1) You have the prettiest body he’s even seen. 2) Your slick tastes absolutely heavenly. 3) The face you make when you cum is worth every single ounce of effort.
So much runs through his mind as he watches you finally reach release after 2 hours of edging. Did you complain every single time he pulled his fingers and tongue away? Yes. Does his dick feel numb from being achingly hard this long? Yep. Is there a giant wet spot on the front of his pants? Obviously. But was it all worth it for these few seconds he gets to watch you writhe in ecstasy? Absolutely.
As you make your way down from your high, Vernon comfortingly rubs his hands along your thighs. “Good girl,” he says, voice low. In response to his praise, you keen. Loud. It takes you both by surprise, if the embarrassed look on your face is any indication.
For a second, you both just stare at each other. He takes a second to appreciate how beautiful you look. Hair mussed, blush tinting your cheeks, sweat coating your forehead. Everything about you is perfect. But he figures he better say something because you look even more mortified every second. “So praise is what gets you going, huh bug?”
You whine and turn yourself over, burying your face into the sheets. He chuckles at your lack of response, pulling himself up to lay next to you. In the silence, he lightly draws little shapes onto the nape of your neck. You shiver. “Don’t go all shy on me now,” he comments.
His taunting makes you turn around to face him. “I’ve never done that before,” you admit after a few seconds.
Now this takes him by surprise. “You’ve never keened before?” he asks, pushing a stray hair out of your face.
“Nope. I kind of thought it was one of those myths they tell you about heats,” you say.
“Oh,” Vernon blurts. “I didn’t know it was a heat thing. I’ve had an omega keen during regular sex before.”
You’re silent for a moment while processing this new information. It begins to worry him. Maybe he shouldn’t have brought up having sex with another omega while he’s in your nest. God, he’s so stupid.
Finally, you speak. “Well you are good in bed. Pretty worthy of a keen outside of a heat, I guess.”
“You guess?” he retorts. “You haven’t even had the real thing yet.”
“Whatever,” you say, rolling your eyes and pushing lightly at his chest. “I’m tired.”
He can tell your eyes are getting droopy. Now that your body has processed that the sex is over (for the time being), it’s forcing you to shut down. Making you conserve some energy until the hormones kick back in. Shit, he should really get some fluids in your system before you’re out. He scrambles out of bed, ignoring your whine of protest, and locates the water bottles on your floor. Grabbing an electrolyte packet from the top of your dresser, he preps the water for you.
When he turns back around, you already have your face buried in a pillow. He runs back over, turning you around while you blink lazily at him. “C’mon you gotta drink some water first.” He uncaps the bottle and holds it to your lips.
You push it away, mumbling “I’m too tired.”
He watches as your eyes droop and you attempt to turn around once more. “No, no. Bug you gotta drink something before you go to bed. You’ll be dehydrated.”
You shake your head in denial. If there was one thing Vernon was not prepared for, it was this. Most omegas are usually pliant and willing to meet an alpha's demand in heat. Why are you not? It should be instinctual. Oh. He has to play with your instincts. As much as he doesn’t want to (his mom raised him right, okay?), he really needs you to drink this water. An ER trip with a heat-ridden omega that you aren’t mated to sounds like a recipe for disaster. “Alpha wants you to drink the water.” The words feel foreign coming out of his mouth.
Like a switch flipped in your brain, you look back up at him. “It will make Alpha happy if I drink the water?” He nods. You take the water out of his hands wordlessly and drain the entire bottle.
He sighs in relief. “Okay. You can sleep now, bug.” You’re practically out before your head hits the pillow.
As much as he wants to tuck himself into bed next to you, Vernon feels gross and sticky. And doesn’t want to invade your privacy. You look comfy all curled up in your nest anyways. He drags himself to your bathroom, where he strips and rinses off the shower. For a minute, he has the thought to jerk off. But the thought that you could wake at any time and be ready for another round prevents him from doing so.
Once he finally feels clean, he changes into a clean pair of sweats. He watches you for a few minutes, making sure you’re still sleeping soundly. He feels like a creep until he remembers that this is a totally normal instinct for him to be feeling right now. His omega is in heat, in their most vulnerable moments. Of course he wants to watch over them.
Wait. Did he just say his omega? Oh, this is bad. He’s never going to recover from this week.
In an attempt to distract himself, he ventures out to the kitchen in search of dinner. He manages to find some instant ramen in your pantry and starts preparing some. He checks his phone, letting Seungkwan know that yes, he’s still alive. No he has not died of suffocation by pussy yet. There’s an unopened message from Joshua asking if everything is going okay. Vernon just barely catches himself before he can let out a hushed growl. He tries his best to respond politely.
Later, his ramen is gone and he’s done enough Instagram doom scrolling. He takes the opportunity to check on you one more time. Sure enough, you’re perfectly fine. It doesn’t quite soothe his instincts though. Pushing them aside, he settles himself into the couch for the night. He uses one of your throw pillows and the blanket you always leave in the living room. Everything smells like you and it pleases his instincts thoroughly. Though he tosses and turns for a while, sleep finally takes him.
HOUR 17
A loud sob wakes Vernon up from deep sleep. He doesn’t even bother to check the time, he just books it to your room. Your door practically slams against the wall. “What’s wrong?” he asks frantically.
Your head whips around to where he’s standing in the doorway. “You’re here,” you sniffle, somewhat surprised.
“Umm yes?”
“I thought you left Alpha. Thought you didn’t want to stay with me.”
Vernon’s heart breaks. How could he be so stupid? He played with your instincts to get you to drink that water last night. Of course you would wake up in a headspace. Part of him wants to go straight to your nest and scent you. Assure you that he’s right here and he’ll be here the whole time. But part of him is fiending to bring you food. Based on the sunlight filtering in through your curtains, it has to have been over 12 hours since your last meal.
“I slept on the couch bug. To give you some space last night. I’ve been here the whole time. Are you hungry?” You quickly shake your head in denial. “Are you sure? It’s been a while since you’ve eaten.” You stare down at your stomach wordlessly, like it’s going to answer for you. He sighs. “Okay. I’m going to get you some rice. Stay right there. If Alpha isn’t back in 5 minutes you can call out for him okay?” You nod, tentatively. The headspace must be heavy right now.
As fast as he can, he runs out into the kitchen and heats up a bowl of rice. He debates finding something more nutritious to add to it, but he doesn’t really have the time to. He makes it back to your room in record time.
“Eat,” he says, setting the bowl in front of you. He frames it as a statement, not a question. If he’s right about the whole headspace thing, you won’t resist. Sure enough, you pick up the fork and start to poke around at the rice. While you eat, he preps another water bottle and grabs a protein bar from your nightstand drawer.
You eye the protein bar when he sits it down in front of you. “It’s too much,” you say, poutily.
“Try,” he urges. You pout once more. In the end, you finish the rice and the water, with the protein bar about half eaten. Vernon considers it a win. “Are you feeling better now?”
“Now that you’re here, yeah,” you whisper, tucking your head into his shoulder.
He reaches down to pet your hair. “I’m sorry I left you in here alone last night. You didn’t really say anything about where to sleep. I didn’t know if waking up to a random alpha would set you off.”
“I thought it was implied with the whole helping me through my heat thing,” you mumble into his shirt. You pause for a moment, before turning your head to look up at him. “And you’re not a random alpha. I’ve known you for a while now. My omega is comfortable with you.”
The statement is like music to Vernon’s ears. There’s nothing better than knowing your inner omega trusts him and his alpha. “Okay,” he concedes. “‘I’ll sleep in here tonight if you want me to.”
You nod, but before you can speak, your face twists in pain. “What’s wrong?” he asks as you lean back on the bed.
“Just cramps,” you say, eyes screwed shut.
“Okay,” he says as he hovers over you. “What can I do?”
You peek one eye open and smile sheepishly. “I think you know.”
“A knot?” he confirms
You nod, eyes closed once again. “A knot.”
Vernon has to take a deep breath to remember that this is in fact reality, and not a dream. “Where do you want me to start?” he asks, running a finger down your bare arm.
You shudder in response. “Wherever you want.”
He sees your shirt ride up a bit, exposing your stomach. Seizing the opportunity, he pulls the shirt even higher, leaning down to press soft kisses to the skin there. His free hand trails down to your thigh and begins to tease. His thumb pushes the end of your shorts upward, lightly brushing over the scent gland there. The contact makes you whine.
He takes his time with it, gently teasing you through your underwear with slow, agonizing circles on your clit. His other hand grips your thigh while he mouths at the skin of your hip. It leaves you breathless.
Vernon isn’t much better himself. The scent of your slick is heavy in the air, sweet and enticing. Soft moans fill his ears. It makes him dizzy.
You must get fed up with the slow pace, because your hips start to wriggle away and you push yourself up on your elbows. “Are you going to give me your knot or what?”
He chuckles at your words and pulls himself up so he’s face to face with you. “So impatient,” he chides.
Your face twists in annoyance. “Seriously Vernon if you don’t pull your dick out soon I’m going to…”
His lips find yours, cutting you off with a soft kiss. When he finally pulls away, you are silent once again. “Be good for me,” he mumbles, breath tickling your face. He reaches down and begins to pull off his pajama pants. Once you realize what he’s doing, you scramble to do the same. As much as Vernon wanted to undress you himself, the image of you easing your panties down your legs will be burned into his memory forever.
He runs a finger up the apex of your thigh, then sweeps through the slick collecting in your folds. You gasp and your eyes flutter shut in response. “All this for me?” he teases. Honestly, he expected a snarky response from you, so it takes him by surprise when you eagerly nod.
He pulls his hand away to pump himself a few times. Not that he really needs it, he’s been hard since the words “a knot” left your mouth. You open your eyes once you notice the lack of contact and he watches your line of sight move down. He can practically see the gears turning in your heat-addled brain. “...’s so big.”
It takes everything in Vernon’s power to not cum on the spot. “Oh god, Bug you can’t say things like that.”
“Want it in me,” you mumble, reaching out to pull him closer.
He shakes his head. “Gotta stretch you out first.”
A loud whine leaves your throat. “No.”
“Bug seriously, I need to prep you.”
At this, you look up at him through your lashes. Tears begin to well in your eyes and threaten to spill. “Please just fuck me. I can’t take it.”
Vernon can’t even look at you anymore. He squeezes his eyes shut, a never-ending string of “don’t cum, don’t cum, don’t cum,” rattling around in his brain. The mental image of you, the omega of his dreams, crying and begging him to fuck you, is almost too much.
He gives himself one more second to cool down before lining himself up at your entrance. His tip rubs deliciously against you and he leans down to lick gently at your scent gland. You hum satisfactorily at this. “Tell me if it hurts, okay?” he whispers against your skin.
Once he feels you nod in approval, he pushes in. Your wetness offers little to no resistance and he’s able to bottom out quickly. Though he has to take a second to ground himself, with the way you are gripping him like crazy. He feels you panting against his neck. “Please move,” you finally tell him. And who is Vernon to deny that request?
Slowly, he starts to move in and out. You writhe at the friction, one hand twisted in the bedsheets and the other pawing at his back. He cringes when he hears the way your slick squelches, but settles once you let out a pretty moan. “Feel good?” he asks.
You nod, little gasps leaving your mouth. He picks up the pace at that. The room fills with the smell of your combined scents and Vernon’s alpha preens. He gets even more of an ego boost when he angles his hips up and you keen as he hits your sweet spot. “Vernon please,” you beg.
“I’ve got you bug,” he breathes. He crooks his hips up a tiny bit more, trying to hit that same spot over and over. It must work because your breath hitches and you clench around him. He can’t help but whimper at the tightness.
Looking down, Vernon can’t help but think that he wants this to last forever. Your eyes rolled back in pleasure. Both your scents mixing deliciously in the air. The feeling of you wrapped around him. That’s all he can really ask for. Except marriage and a few babies maybe.
The thought of babies immediately sends his alpha into overdrive and, before he knows it, he’s whispering in your ear. “Gonna fill you up,” he grunts. “Get you nice and round with my pups, yeah?” Once the words leave his mouth, he realizes what he’s done. What if you’re not into that? Are you going to be mad at him? But the garbled “please please please” that leaves your mouth is enough to silence his negative thoughts.
Maybe it’s the heavenly sounds you’re making or maybe it’s the thought of you pregnant that winds him up, but finally he feels the base of his knot start to swell. It catches slightly on your walls, so he reaches down to play with your clit in an attempt to relax your muscles.
Fast circles with his thumb seem to do the trick. He buries himself inside you fully and it’s enough to push you over the edge. You spasm around him and he feels a gush of slick drip out of you. The feeling has him cumming immediately in one of the most intense orgasms he’s ever had. Shockwaves run through his body and he has to set his head down on your shoulder.
When he comes back to, he realizes his knot is already fully inflated. You’re still throbbing and the overstimulation is almost painful. Slowly, he turns so that you are both laying on your sides. Your eyes finally flutter back open and, wow, do you look cock drunk. “Feel better?” he asks.
You roll your eyes but nod at the same time. How cute. “Sleepy,” you mumble, head lolling onto his chest.
“Okay,” he concedes, knowing better than to stop you. “Sleep well bug.”
He watches as your breathing evens out, waiting for the cue that you are fully asleep. Once he’s sure you aren’t awake, he mumbles a soft “I love you” into your hair.
HOUR 43
Vernon has never felt so tired in his life. He’s lost count of how many times he’s cum, how many knots he’s given you. He definitely overestimated the influential power of an omega in heat. No matter how hard he tries, it feels impossible to say no to you.
You’re writhing on the bed underneath him. He’s made you cum with his fingers so many times that they’ve practically shriveled up. “Please Nonie. Want you to fill me up so bad.”
“I don’t think I can,” he tells you gently.
“Please?” you beg. “I need it.”
He takes a deep breath to reel in his patience. “Bug I think there’s more of my cum in you than there is in me.”
“It’s still not enough,” you whine.
This is the most desperate he’s seen you so far. Part of him feels perverted that he enjoys the way you beg for him. Another part of him, mainly his alpha, feels elated.
He listens to your cries a few seconds longer before reminding himself that he may never get to see you like this again. So he makes true to his word, and fills you up again and again and again.
HOUR 61
“I think I only need one more knot,” you tell him, tracing patterns onto his back. The feeling of your finger running gently across his skin makes the hair on his arms prickle.
“Really?” he asks, turning around to look at you. “We’re barely into day 3.”
You shrug. “I can feel it.”
He gives you a knowing look. “Do you want it now?”
After a few moments of thought, you shake your head. “Can we shower first?”
He reaches a hand down to your legs, gently brushing the meat of your thigh. “Can you stand long enough for a shower? Or should I run a bath?”
“A bath would be nice,” you mumble.
A soft kiss is pressed to your forehead before he pulls himself out of the nest. His own legs feel like jelly, but he does his best to ignore it. The same way he ignores the small whine that he hears escape your mouth as he leaves the room. He can’t let himself get attached.
HOUR 62
A strangled gasp leaves your lips as Vernon pushes all the way into you. “...mmm, so much for a bath,” you mutter.
He chuckles into the back of your neck. “You asked for this bug.”
“I know, I ju-just…ah right there. Bath sex is my…my favorite part of heats” you admit.
“Mmm,” he mumbles. “Should’ve told me that sooner.”
You lean back to lay full against Vernon’s shoulder. His head sits right next to yours, and he lets himself drop it to rest against the junction of your neck. He loses himself in the sensation of you wrapped around him.
The rhythm is slow, sensual. But he’s learned enough about your body language that he can tell it’s doing the job. Your walls pulse around him. Your breathing is erratic. Your toes curl and soft moans leave your mouth. He tries to savor it. After all, this is probably the last time he’ll ever see you like this.
He lets himself indulge a bit this round. His teeth graze your scent gland as he knots you. Nothing close to the bite he wants to put there, but enough to quell the urge that’s been there the past few days. It sets you off once again, cumming for the 2nd time in just minutes. He tries to ignore the fact that you want it just as bad as he does.
HOUR 72
Days later and your heat finally broken, you find yourself snuggled into the couch with Vernon. The movie you have playing is nothing more than background noise.
“Sooo…didn’t know you had a breeding kink” he teases, poking your foot.
You roll your eyes at him. “Heats were literally created for breeding. Of course I was into it.”
He looks down, trying to hide his embarrassment. “I guess that’s true.”
“What?” you question. “Do you not promise to knock up all the omegas you help through heat?”
Vernon knocks the surprise off his face a split second too late. “No?” The crack in his voice definitely gives him away.
“Vernon!” you exclaim, slapping him on the arm, scandalized. “You did not just let me take your heat virginity!”
Embarrassed, he runs his hands over his face. “Don’t call it that!” he whines.
You laugh lightheartedly. “If it makes you feel better, I couldn’t tell. You did everything right.”
Now it’s his turn to roll his eyes. “Except I left you alone that first night.”
You reach out to touch his leg comfortingly. It’s clear that you understand how bad he actually feels about that. “Yeah but it’s not like you got the rundown of what I wanted beforehand. You were just respecting my boundaries.”
“Yeah, I guess,” he nods, not very convincingly.
“You’re a good alpha, Vernon.” The statement hits him in the head like a hammer. It rings around in his skull for what feels like hours.
He peeks up at you shyly. “Really?”
“Yeah,” you tell him with a smile on your face. “You took good care of me. Fed me, kept me clean. And…” your eyes trail down to look at his lips.
“And?”
Nothing would prepare him for the devastation of what you say next. “And I wish you would do that all the time.” Surely you don’t mean that in the way he thinks you do. It’s all about the heat right?
“You don’t want Josh to come back for your next heat?”
You inch closer to him on the couch. “No, I want you. I want you all the time. Not just during my heat.”
Oh. Oh. Realization hits him like a truck. “You like me too?”
“Of course I do. Why else would I ask you to help me this week?”
The words leave his lips before he can catch himself. “Because you had no other option.”
“No you idiot,” you say while smacking his thigh lightly. “I’ve just been too chicken to ask you before.”
Surely this can’t be right. Have you been showing him hints this whole time? Was he just too blind to see it? “You spend your heats with Josh though…” he thinks out loud.
“He offered to help with my first heat after Johnny left,” you explain. “I called him your name in the middle of it and he’s been begging me to ask you since then. I was scared that you weren’t interested.”
Vernon feels like a weight has been lifted off his shoulders. You really do like him back. Before he can stop himself, he leans down and captures your mouth with his. You immediately kiss him back, hooking your arms around his neck. You both stay there for what feels like forever.
Finally, you pull away to catch your breath, resting your forehead against his. After a moment, a notification from your phone has you reluctantly pulling back. It’s a text from Joshua.
Josh
Sooooo
My flight wasn’t actually delayed
You and Vernon admitted you like each other right?

I hate you

Messages of hope for spring 2025
Tip Jar | Masterlist | Personal Readings
Hello hello! Quite the past month we've had. With everything going on in the world, I thought I'd ask the spirits to relay some specific messages to inspire hope as the cold yields and life starts to return to begin the cycle anew. These messages will be pertinent to the months of March, April, and May of 2025. Pick whichever pile calls out to you!
This is a group reading, so take what resonates and leave the rest. Don't force anything if it does not fit. Remember that the future is not set in stone and that other potential paths exist depending on your movement through the course of time.
Pile 1 (Top Left)
Five of Spring | Ten of Cups | Epona | Break Free
Maybe in your past you’ve experienced a battleground. Something very serious, somewhere where you couldn’t be yourself and had to live up to an extreme expectation or be punished for it. I see authority as a running theme in your life, too, maybe a string of relationships or jobs in which you felt there were a definite leader or boss and (whether yourself or others) and you were comfortable that way. Spring is bringing a different kind of dynamic to you; a fight where no one gets hurt, a relationship where no one is more responsible than the other, an opportunity to climb up to an ideal that you’ve had your whole life. Watch for the moments when you find people teasing and joking in a way that could seem hurtful from the outside but you know it’s just their humor. When this moment comes, you will know that you’ve broken free of what hurt you in the past.
Pile 2 (Top Middle)
Six of Spring | Rx Death | Persephone | Friendship
Celebration. That’s the first word that comes to mind. And if you read it (or said it out loud) and instantly saw a flash of a specific celebration, then the spirits want you to know that that result is almost certain. I get the feeling that you will be publicly recognized and lauded for something that you did not expect, some part of your hidden or shadow self that you hid for fear of shame. It is something that lacks grace. Something like…having spoken up even if your words could have been interpreted wrongly or rudely, but people saw past the words to your idea and they loved it. Even if the idea itself is dark, you have been sharing that, and you will see the results of that soon enough in a glorious event that may welcome unexpected friends. I get the feeling that this will happen earlier for you than the other piles, late February or early March.
Pile 3 (Top Right)
Strength | Rx The Emperor | Hina | Mother Healing
Right off the bat, I can tell that this message will be one that is harder to grasp for you, and you may need to look hard and close for it. I see a few specific images that all interplay in your life: you father, your church, your mother. You have a very unique way of approaching gender, something that the mainstream culture around frowns upon. Your femininity and spirituality cross in ways that seem unseemly. Maybe you don’t know how to reconcile the two? This is something that you should be thinking about more. I just got the image of a crown of thorns in my head; know that you are the master of this beast. I can’t articulate everything that you’re going to come to learn and realize for yourself; I suppose the only message I have for you is to know that you have the inner strength to guide you through this.
Pile 4 (Bottom Left)
Seven of Summer | Rx King of Cups | Rhiannon | Simplify Your Life
Winter brings clutter with it. We shut ourselves up in our homes with what we have and wait, letting go of nothing since we know on an instinctual level that we cannot simply go out and replace what we lose. However, this clutter, whether it takes the form of actual, physical clutter, mental baggage, or just too many decisions to make, results in us feeling overwhelmed. Your emotions may feel difficult to track down, but addressing their causes will help. Spring is going to see you cleaning up those aspects of your life. I see the word ‘king’ a lot, so don’t be afraid to lean into your masculine power. The world is beautiful; try to remember to once in a while look beyond the clutter in your path to see what you’re working toward. Once you see your goal, each individual step will feel both simple and momentous!
Pile 5 (Bottom Middle)
Nine of Summer | Nine of Wands | Demeter | You’re Being Helped
Go around the back way. That’s the first message that I got. Are you being blocked from your wishes being fulfilled? There’s always another way, you know. Demeter didn’t bow down when Hades took her daughter; she went on strike, withholding her gifts from the world until they addressed her plight. You, too, are going to find an unorthodox method of bypassing what stands in your way. The spirits are not the ones putting up the barrier, they are the ones helping to guide you to your prize. Your Cinderella story is waiting; not just rags to riches, but also finding out that you have a Fairy Godmother on your side who’s willing to bend the rules for you. After all, some rules are unjust and meant to be broken. Don’t go doing anything crazy or rush so much you trip yourself, but keep your eyes open for your opportunity.
Pile 6 (Bottom Right)
King of Spring | King of Swords | White Shell Woman | Self-Employment
Where do I begin, Pile 6?! This spring, you are going to see the perfect union between your passion and your mind. You are someone with a lot of gifts to give, and to make sure that you play your role this upcoming spring, the spirits are going to fill your baskets to the point of overflow to show you how generous you can be. Though I can sense that you just want some alone time, and trust me, you’ll get it. You will find that people flock to you, seeing you as a skilled leader and wanting to support what you support. Relish being alive! Look around you at all the things growing! You have so much to look forward to.
If this was helpful to you, please consider donating or expanding on your message in one of my readings! 🩷

.☘︎ ݁˖ New Beginnings 🏠︎
summary: when Remus and Yn moved to a house near his parents. Remus realised he, Yn, their friends, and their baby on the way were beginning a new chapter on life.
remus lupin x fem!reader
warnings: none I believe, mentions of pregnancy
word count: 937
“No, James! That box goes in the other room!” screamed the girl.
“Which one?” the boy shouted back.
“The one opposite the kitchen!”
“Oh, okay. Thanks, Dorcas!”
A loud thud was heard. Lily and Marlene exchanged amused, knowing glances.
“Be careful not to break their things, Potter!” Lily called out.
“I will, my love!” he yelled back, only for the sound of a box knocking against a wall to follow, causing his friends to erupt into laughter.
“Here,” Sirius announced, breathing heavily. “The last box.”
“Thanks, Siri,” Y/N said gently, giving two pats on his back. He smiled at her in return.
“You’re welcome, dovey.”
“I thought I already had a chat with you about that, Padfoot,” Remus muttered, appearing out of nowhere—or so Sirius thought.
Remus arched his eyebrows, his expression challenging, almost threatening, though Sirius knew it was a joke. “Only I can call her ‘dovey.’”
Sirius raised his hands in mock surrender. “Sorry, my good man, I was only being a gentleman.”
“No, you were being shameless.” Sirius grinned smugly at that.
“Come on, boys! I need your help organizing everything!” Y/N shouted.
“Sorry, but remind me again why you don’t just use a spell to arrange the house?” Sirius asked.
“Because Y/N wanted to move next to my parents, so my mother can help her during the pregnancy. And the Muggles would probably pass out if they saw such a thing,” Remus replied matter-of-factly.
“Just close the doors.”
“We haven’t put up the curtains yet, the windows are huge, and the only door that isn’t glass is the front one.”
“Riiight,” Sirius said mockingly, singing the word under his breath.
“Oh my God,” Lily gasped, smiling widely as Dorcas giggled behind her.
“What’s all the fuss about?” Marlene asked as she entered the room, the boys trailing behind her.
"The baby is kicking," Y/N chuckled, beaming with happiness. Remus swore his heart skipped a beat at the sight of her radiant smile as their eyes met.
“I am the luckiest wizard of our time,” he murmured, his voice barely audible, but just loud enough for James and Sirius to hear. The two men exchanged a satisfied glance.
“Come,” Y/N gestured for Remus to approach. “He likes it when you’re close.” And so he did.
The afternoon passed in a blur of laughter, jokes, and stolen moments. Dorcas found an old camera in one of Remus’s boxes and took countless photos of them, their goofy, happy faces captured forever—memories of a home. By mid-afternoon, a strong rain began to fall, and Y/N convinced everyone to stay.
“Please, it’s our first day in our house,” she said, bouncing on the balls of her feet. “H-o-u-s-e,” she spelled out, grinning like a child. “Not an apartment.” She jumped again. “A house.”
“I think they get it, love,” Remus said gently, watching her with an affectionate smile.
“I know, but I like saying it. And it’s only fitting that our friends spend our first day here with us.” She clapped her hands as a new idea struck her. “We can recount Hogwarts memories, play some games, and take more photos. We may be adults now, but we aren’t soulless.”
“She’s right!” Marlene called from the couch.
“See?” Y/N arched an eyebrow at Remus, who found himself smiling yet again. How could he not? She was light itself.
“And Peter is almost here,” James added.
“He really saved himself from all the hard work,” Sirius barked out a laugh.
“Let him be,” Lily scolded, hugging James at her side. “He’s in love, and his girlfriend needed him for an appointment.”
“Huh, he’d be a terrible boyfriend if he left her alone,” Dorcas muttered, examining a toy car Y/N had received from her in-laws.
“That’s right,” Marlene agreed.
“Excuses and more excuses,” Sirius declared dramatically, making his way to the kitchen to grab more food.
And so, they decided to have what Dorcas called a ‘pajama party.’ Blankets were strewn across the living room floor, and they resolved to sleep together just as they had in their Hogwarts days. Despite Remus’s concerns, Y/N insisted she would be fine.
“If anything, I’ll whisper in your ear when they’re all asleep so you can take me back to our room,” she murmured against his ear. He rolled his eyes playfully.
“Alright, madam.”
And just like that, they spent the night wrapped in memories, teasing, and warm embraces—like a family should.
Y/N never did ask to go to their bedroom, instead falling asleep on Remus’s chest. He couldn’t have been prouder.
Lily and James were entangled as always, a locket around her neck revealing a photo of their two-year-old son, Harry, who was currently at his grandparents’ house. On James’s wrist—the same arm wrapped around Lily’s waist—was the wristband Harry had made for him.
Dorcas and Marlene slept side by side, while Sirius, sprawled at their feet, had Marlene’s right foot nearly on his cheek. In his chest, curled in his hands, lay a small rat—Wormtail.
They were such a beautiful family, and Remus could not have been happier. Nor could he have been more excited about his new life and the fresh chapter ahead—next to the love of his life, in the home of their dreams, near his parents, and awaiting the arrival of their child.
A happy new beginning awaited them.
Hi, everyone! I've been really busy these past few days, but I'll do my best to stay active here. Kisses to you all!

And by "harmless fun" you mean acting like the center of the world and faking oppression by creating your own problems?
I am not against transsexual individuals as a whole if they know how to behave decently. Non-binary is simply another gender box that radfems try to abolish. It's a social construct. What dysphoria do you face as a non-binary person? Why can't you be androgynous without making up some gender-identity and inserting it into politics?
What "non-binary rights" are in danger? Chopping your breasts off? What do you mean by "show off your binder", I thought non-binary had no rules? Why do non-binary males feel entitled to insert themselves into lesbian spaces just because "oh I'm not a man, you're transphobic"?
This ideology targets teenage girls who are especially prone to feeling bad in their body, not because they were born in the wrong one, but because they are constantly sexualized and sub-consciously sexualize themself. This ideology forces the idea that females should be feminine, males should be masculine. This is the binary you people believe in, admit to it or not. This is where the entire "non-binary" thing comes from.
I would add more onto this, but I doubt anyone who's so deeply in the transgender cult will even bother to read. You prefer to make jokes and call us names, "terf" being your new favorite buzzword for anyone who dares to question you.
I just needed others to suffer with me. (She also made the ‘if i were a fish’ thing, if you recognize her)

Stuck in the Middle With You
Prompt: Clingy Boyfriend
@bucktommyfluffebruary
A03: https://archiveofourown.org/works/62721625/chapters/160733068
Buck was annoyed.
No, scratch that—he was pissed.
It had been over seventy-two hours—and he still hadn’t seen his boyfriend. Hell, he had been forced to go back to his apartment because there was no point in going over to Tommy’s house because he wouldn't even be there for another forty-eight hours. Somehow—he had no idea how—the end of Bucks forty-eight had overlapped with the beginning of Tommy’s seventy-two, and the only thing he wanted to do was pull his hair out by the roots and scream into the void.
…But he couldn’t, so instead he was doing the next best thing: drinking with Eddie and complaining about his life.
“Dude, you’ll be fine,” his friend reassured him as he sat next to him at the bar at a quarter past eight. “it’s not like you guys haven’t gone five days without seeing each other since you two started dating…”
Buck didn’t look up at him, casting his eyes down towards his glass.
“Seriously?!”
He let out a whine as he stretched out almost flat against the bar and reluctantly admitted, “Yeah, we’ve kinda been attached at the hip—”
“Or other body parts,” Eddie muttered before taking a swig of his beer and Buck glared at him and said, “Hey! No interrupting!” and threw a rogue peanut shell at him, and then added, “I mean, we still text, call, and video chat, but…god, it’s just not the same, you know?” and then took a long drag of his own beer, thinking about the fact that Tommy would reprimand him for choosing such a generic brand instead of going for one of the nicer craft beers with a better flavor.
But he didn’t want a better flavor, he wanted to drown his sorrows and didn’t need something like flavor getting in the way of that. Besides, he wouldn’t have appreciated the taste anyway, far too focused on trying to numb the longing feeling in his chest that felt as though it was turning into a cavernous hole.
Eddie gave him a look and said, “Look, if you miss him so much, then why don’t you swing by the 217?” and Buck shot him a look.
“Because, they’re on standby for the fires and their schedule is all over the place! And-and I don’t wanna just, you know, show up like the clingiest boyfriend in the world! I’m not some, some…tween girl who’s obsessed, you know?”
“You’re not? Coulda fooled me,” his friend drawled as he turned and leaned with his back to the bar and Buck found himself glaring at him all over again, getting slightly annoyed at his friend’s attitude, and threw another peanut at him, thrilled when it hit his chin and then fell into the front pocket of his flannel, and he muttered into the crook of his folded arm, “Ha, three points,” knowing that if Tommy had been there he would have appreciated him making the basketball joke.
Eddie merely shot him an arched eyebrow.
“You’re acting like Christopher, right now, you do know that, right?” he said as he fished out the peanut and popped it into his mouth.
Buck scoffed and slowly sat up, saying, “If you’re telling me that I have the emotional maturity of a fourteen-year-old, you are way off on that mark. According to Dr. Jensen, I have the emotional maturity of a twenty-five year old.”
“Buck, you’re thirty-four.”
“Yeah, I’m still catching up. So?”
Eddie merely shook his head and took another sip from his beer while Buck cast a glance around the bar, noting that it was still a light crowd. Of course, it was the middle of the week, and eight o’clock on a Wednesday evening wasn’t exactly the hip time for people to be out drinking. God, he was pathetic.
--
“Oh, god, just call him!” Sal said, sounding thoroughly annoyed—but Tommy shook his head and said, “I can’t! He’s out with Eddie and I don’t want to bother him while he’s having a good time off shift, you know?”
“If he’s anything like you, he doesn’t know how to have a good time,” muttered Lucy from behind her cards on the other side of the table, her feet propped up on the edge. “I take that bet and raise you two skittles,” she then said, arching an eyebrow at him, and Tommy knew immediately that she was bluffing and said, “I call.”
She smirked.
“Read ‘em and weep, Kinard.”
She laid down her cards with all the confidence of someone twenty years her senior—and Tommy nodded and said, “Nice hand, Donato. Full house…which would be great if I didn’t have a straight flush,” and he laid down his hand with a smirk, and she let out a huff and dropped her legs and said, “God, I hate your poker face. You’re inscrutable.”
“It’s a gift,” he said, pulling the pile of candy towards him, popping a lemon skittle into his mouth…and found his eyes drifting towards his phone, where he had left it on the table, wondering if he should give Evan a call. He hadn’t been able to spend any time with him for two days already, and now he was stuck with another three days without him. God, he had never gone more than three days without him, and now he was going to be away from him for a total of five fucking days.
His hand twitched—and then Sal said, “For fuck’s sake, just call him!”
“Language Deluca!” shouted their captain, but he simply rolled his eyes and moved over to him, shoving his shoulder up against his.
“Look, have the two of you been apart for very long before? Anything longer than two or three days?” he asked…and Tommy reluctantly admitted, “Uh…no. We’ve never spent more than three days apart since we got back together,” and his friend let out a long sigh that lasted so long it almost seemed as though he was deflating.
He then said, “Mierda…you two are grade-a clingers, aren’t you?”
…and Tommy snorted and started to laugh and through his laughter he managed to say, “Okay, yeah, I guess we are. When we’re at home we do almost everything together,” he admitted, giving Sal a sideways glance. “I think we’re both kinda touch starved and we both need a lot of reassurance after what happened to us all those months ago. I think we’re also both a little bit afraid on some sort of subconscious level that the other person is gonna just up and leave …”
His friend turned so they were both facing the same way and said, “You two are good together. So, why don’t you text him?”
--
“…Because if I text him, then he’ll know that I can’t go more than a couple days at a time without him!” Buck explained as he stood on the other side of the pool table, moving the stick between his hands in an agitated manner. “I don’t want him to think that I’m desperate! Don’t you get that?”
Eddie glanced up at him as he lined up his shot and muttered under his breath, “I get that you’re both grade-a clingers…”
Buck shot him a look.
“You don’t get it,” he said, shaking his head and walking over to where Eddie was lining up his shot. “If I reach out first then that means I’m the clingier one! And I am not the clingier one! You’ve never seen how Tommy follows me around the apartment when he comes over…or how-how whenever I go to his place, he is constantly calling out to check in on where I am just in case so he can find me if he wants to share something with me because he thinks texting across the house is-is too…impersonal!”
At that, Eddie took his shot, missing it, and then straightened and said, “Je-sus, Buck. I’m thinking you two might be a little codependent,” and at that Buck arched an eyebrow at him as he bent over to line up his own shot and said, “Oh, big word for you. Therapy working?”
His friend shrugged.
“Eh, yeah. I guess. Still feels too much like confession to me,” he said with a pointed look, “But I think it’s working. Still—you and Tommy have a weird relationship.”
“No, we don’t,” Buck stressed, taking his own shot and sinking it without even glancing back down at the table. “We have a healthy relationship. I think the two of us are just trying to make up for lost time, you know? Those few months without him were hell for me, and for him, and now we just…I think maybe we’re just scared that one of us might come up with another reason to walk away from it and so we don’t like being away from each other for too long…”
Letting out a sigh, he went to line up his next shot…and then Eddie said, “So you’re not texting him because…?”
--
“Because if I text him, then he’ll know that I can’t go more than a few days without him,” Tommy said to Sal as they got the injured hiker into the medevac chopper. “And if he knows that, then he’ll know that I’m the clingier one, and I’m not! Do you know that Evan tries to text me across the house? I’ve told him to just let me know where he is and I can come to him, but no. He insists on being allowed to text me across the house, which is just…weird.”
From below them, the woman on the gurney lifted up a feeble hand and said, “You know, you and your husband should just sit down and talk about how to communicate when you’re feeling insecure, because that’s what I’m picking up on here,” and he quickly corrected her.
“He’s my boyfriend, not my husband.”
Sal then interjected, “But you want him to be your husband, don’t you?” and Tommy ducked his eyes and moved back to the pilot’s seat, pulling on his headset.
“I’m not talking about this with you, Sal.”
His friend shot him a look and said, “Uh, you kinda are. So just text him, already! You miss him because you love him, that’s not a bad thing,” he said as Tommy lifted the chopper into the air, heading for the hospital. “Love can make you do stupid things—like break up with someone when they ask you to move in with them,” he jabbed at him, and the airman groaned and repeated, “I am not talking with you about this! Evan and I…we can figure it out. We got back together, didn’t we?”
At that, his friend chuckled and said, “Yeah, sure, like you were the one who figured it out. Isn’t the only reason why you two got back together because Howie pulled some underhanded shit with his wife and kid in order to get you and your boy into the same room again?”
Tommy sighed.
Okay, so yeah, it had been because of Howie and Maddie that he and Evan had gotten back together…but it was because of them talking things out that they had finally decided that it was worth it.
Still, as he angled the chopper towards the direction of the hospital he thought about what Sal had been trying to say to him the entire shift—and he hated to admit it, but the man was right. He missed Evan because he was in love with him, and that wasn’t a bad thing. Hell, it was practically expected at this point in their relationship.
Tommy continued to think on it as they dropped off the injured hiker…
…and then as they landed back at the 217, he reluctantly said to Sal over the headset, “Okay, maybe you’re right.”
His friend shot him a far too smug look, and the airman was already regretting his words, especially when the other man said as they sauntered back to the main hangar, “Oh, I want that put onto a t-shirt! ‘Tommy Kinard says that Sal Deluca was right!’ This is a pretty damn good feeling! So…you’re gonna text him, right?” he prodded, and Tommy nodded and reached for his phone, feeling a small sense of relief as he saw the picture of his boyfriend smiling on his lock screen.
He smiled down at it and then swiped his phone open…where Evan was the background, and he continued to smile.
Sal playfully shoved at his shoulder with his own, saying, “Someone’s in lo-ove,” and Tommy shoved him right back, pleased when the other man stumbled.
Hesitantly, he brought up their texts and then stared at them for a moment or two, trying to get up the courage to message him first, noting that their last conversation had been about the shopping list for the cookies that Tommy had baked for the 118.
He stop midstride and stared at it…and then began to type…
--
“He’s bubbling me!” Buck said, staring at his phone in shock. He had finally caved and reached for his phone to text his boyfriend, only to see those little bubbles telling him that Tommy was texting him first.
“Yipee,” Eddie said dryly from the corner of the pool table, looking at it with a curious expression, as if expecting it to rearrange the balls for him so that he would have a better shot.
Buck ignored him and continued to stare at his screen, waiting for the message to show up—and then grinned when the words that popped up said, Hey, thinking about you. Sorry we have to spend so many days apart, babe, and he couldn’t help but feel lucky to have someone in his life who understood just how hard it was for him to be apart from the people he loved for long amounts of time, and he immediately texted back, Thinking about you, too. Miss you, along with a kissy face emoji.
Feeling reassured, he slid his phone back into his pocket and turned his attention back to the game and teased, “You gonna take your shot or what, Diaz?” and Eddie gave him a bitch-face and leaned against his pool stick and said, “Gimme a minute! Your last shot fucked me up…”
Buck rolled his eyes.
“Oh my god, you’re so dramatic! Just take the shot!”
“Well, looks like someone’s in a better mood,” his friend muttered as he bent over and took the shot, letting out another curse when the ball bounced off a bumper and went wide, setting it up perfectly for Buck’s next shot, and he grinned and set it…and in three moves he had finished the game.
Eddie pretended to be annoyed with him, but he was smiling as he said, “So, think you can manage a few more days without him?” and Buck shrugged and said, “I guess so, yeah. I just…I sleep better with him next to me, you know?” and his friend tilted his head and remarked, “Yeah, I guess I can understand that. I remember it was hard for a while after I was deployed to sleep without Shannon next to me, so I get it,” and patted his shoulder.
Buck nodded and turned back to the pool table.
“Wanna go again?”
Eddie smirked.
“Bring it on, lover boy.”
Buck scoffed and said, “Oh, c’mon, I’m not that whipped, am I?” and Eddie lifted an eyebrow and said, “Yeah, you kinda are, but that’s okay. By the way,” he said as he moved around to the other side of the table, “Are you even living at your apartment anymore? Why don’t you just move into his place?” and his heart skipped a beat.
Yeah, okay, he’d thought about it, but it was too soon, and he knew it—he had jumped the gun last time, he wasn’t going to do that again.
“Uh, I still have my lease,” he finally replied, avoiding eye contact, focusing on re-racking the balls for their next game. He didn’t have to look up to know that his friend was giving him a side eye…but Eddie said nothing, and he breathed a sigh of relief.
Just three more days.
--
It was three days of torture and the shift from hell, and Tommy couldn’t quite believe that he had managed to survive. Letting out a sigh of relief, he dropped his bag as soon as he stepped inside his front door and kicked his shoes off and tossed his jacket to the side, uncaring of where anything landed…
…and then the next thing he knew, he had his arms full of his boyfriend, who immediately buried his head in his neck.
“God, I missed you,” Evan said, his voice slightly muffled from where it was pressed into his collarbone, and the airman chuckled and wrapped his arms tightly around him and said softly, “I missed you, too, babe,” and pressed a kiss to his damp curls, which told him that Evan had just gotten out of the shower. He took a deep breath, smelling his own soap on his skin, a blend of cedarwood and spearmint, and then nuzzled his nose into his hair, letting out a sigh.
Evan practically melted into him, and the feeling of his body pressed up against his was the best thing he had felt in a long time, having been spending far too much time dealing with Lucy and Sal on either side of him, their presence welcome, but not the same as the man he loved.
“As much as I love this, babe, can we move to the couch? I am beat,” Tommy muttered, and his boyfriend nodded.
Not quite letting go of each other, they made their way to the living room and then promptly crashed onto the couch, Buck laying out flat with Tommy on top of him—
—and god was that nice.
With all of his previous ‘relationships’ he had always been the big spoon because of his height and broad build…but with Evan he was able to relax into another broad chest without having to worry that he was going to crush him.
They lay there for a long while, not saying a single thing, Evan’s fingers carding through his hair, the sensation soft and lulling him into an almost sleep…but then through the haze of exhaustion, he heard him ask, “Am I…am I too clingy for you?” and Tommy snorted and said, “Nope, not at all. Actually, Sal and I talked today, and he says that I’m the clingy one of the two of us,” and he felt a chuckle run through his boyfriend’s chest as he said, “Funny enough, Eddie said the same thing about me…”
He grinned and rubbed his hand over Evan’s side, enjoying every single second of being able to touch him, and softly added, “Well, it seems to be working for us, so I say we keep on doing it.”
Buck chuckled a second time.
“I like that idea.”
He then tucked a finger under the airman’s chin and lifted his head just enough to press a kiss to his lips and Tommy moaned into the kiss and then said as they both pulled back from it, “I’ve never been happier to have a clingy boyfriend,” and Evan gave him a look.
“Damn straight.”
“Damn…gay, actually,” he teased, and was thrilled when his boyfriend groaned and rolled his eyes and said, “Oh, god, I forgot how bad your jokes are.”
“Excuse you, but I am hilarious,” Tommy retorted, lifting himself up slightly to rest his hands on Evan’s chest and prop his chin on top of his clasped hands. “You just don’t appreciate my brand of humor, Evan.”
They shared a look, both of them trying to stare down the other—and then they both broke into giggles, both of them sounding almost manic with the way their giggles dissolved into breathless gulps of laughter, neither of them able to contain themselves. Tommy knew that part of the reason why he was acting so ridiculous was because he always acted punch drunk when he was this tired, and he knew that Evan was just naturally that amused at him.
Eventually it subsided and they rested quietly against each other once more…
…and then Evan said, “I like it when you’re clingy,” and Tommy whispered back, “I like when you’re clingy, too…”
A warm silence fell, and as they lay there the stray thought entered the airman’s mind that Evan always felt like home to him, and that he spent more time at his place than back at his own apartment. Even though it felt too soon, he wanted him to move in…but not yet. It could wait a bit longer, he mused as his felt his boyfriend’s fingers tracing along his spine.
Yeah.
It could wait a bit longer.

Hey. Hey, guys. You'll never guess what I've been drawing.
Glisten: ...??
Glisten and his lame ass boyfriends!!!!!! Cheers to art dumps <3
[CW: SUGGESTIVE JOKE] More doodles below cut:
So! I know most of you come for the shinyshrimp stuff (WHICH WE WILL GET TO) but let me yap about Glisten and Razzle for a bit.
I LOVE YOU GLITTERMASK THEY COULD NEVER MAKE ME HATE YOU GLITTERMASK-
Glisten and Razzle got together like 3 months after Glisten and Boxten broke up. Razzle never really looked to Glisten that much outside of acquaintances (cuz he was kinda sorta lowkey jealous of Glisten's charisma and stage-presence). In fact, they were much more focused on Vee and maybe possibly had a crush on her, which is really funny in hindsight with Dazzle lol. However, after learning that Vee was a lesbian/being very rudely rejected by her, Razzle found comfort in Glisten and fell head-over-heels almost immediately.
The only problem is, Razzle has -10000 aura. His ass cannot be flirty or cool-charismatic at all.
Glisten: What do you do when you aren't distracting? Razzle: (Glisten likes mysterious people) I sell drugs!! Glisten: ... Excuse me? Razzle: (But Glisten also likes kind people) But ONLY to kids in need! Dazzle: (STOPSTOPSTOPSTOPSTOPSTOP-) *defeated whimper*
Razzle thinks he's that guy (they're not, they're pathetic honestly lol)
Also like, Razzle is suuuper dense when it comes to everyone except Dazzle. They struggle with self-reflection and other-people reflection, so he is completely convinced he is doing all the right things, when in actuality, they are very very very cringe.
Razzle: No see Dazzie, this is why they call me Rizzle. Dazzle: (No one has EVER called you that.)
Denseness is one hell of a drug, aye, fellas?
Dazzle is being pulled through the wringer trying to preserve whatever was left of her (and Razzle's) pride. It's not working. Girl is fighting for their life every time she is dragged over by Razzle in order to say a horrible pick-up line to Glisten.
(This is all pre-relationship btw. After they get together it becomes an inside joke and Glisten retorts with his own awful (although not nearly as bad) pick-up lines)
Now the moment you've been waiting forrrr 🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁
✨ Shinyshrimp ✨
I love them chat, I love them sm. They have so much drama and love and interesting things going on, they're so cool and fun n stuff and AUGHHHHH💥💥💥
Shrimpo being that one guy who craves affection but would literally bite anyone who gives it to him is so real to me. Homie wants a hug but ends up suplexing whoever hugged him outta reflex. Glisten, on the other hand, is one of the most affectionate people ever. He's not affectionate to everyone, but when you catch his interest (both platonic and romantic), he is very verbally and physically affectionate. He'll buy you things, he'll give you hugs, he'll let you invade his personal space, all stuff he would never let normies do.
Shrimpo loves this, however, homie has no idea how to deal with any kind of affection in a positive way. Cat-coded ahh guy. Glisten does find this amusing tho, so he's more inclined to be affectionate with Shrimpo to help him "get over it" in a way.
This is just for shits and giggles. I feel like everyone should draw this meme with their ships. It's a canon event at this point.
What can I say? He was hungry.
Can't forget my fankids. I love my fankids. I miss my fankids. I need to draw my fankids more istg I need to revamp their ask blog soon (especially with some new editions coming soon).
Also Hamlet looks smaller because most of his internal structure is made of ribbon and stuffing, so he shrinks into a ball when happy. He also loafs like a cat, what a guy.
Also also also what the skibidi sigma happened to my prep-jock ship?? Why is it backwards???
I drew these because I had a vision of the little doodle below and only thought it would work if they were swaped... sooooo... here we are.
Scapmi is a preppy goth-ish shrimp with an eye for fashion and artistry. With a smart mouth and a massive ego, he often comes off as an annoyance to others. He loves to be front and center in everything but often has to fight with his internalized idea that everything is a competition that he needs to win no matter what. It causes him a lot of stress and self-doubt, but he'd never let anyone see his weaknesses.
Gash is a shrap-toned violent mirror who speaks more with his fists than his voice. He hates everything that is not himself (and sweets) and makes sure people know that. He used to be a perfectionist, but after an accident permanently cracked his face, he dropped his "perfect" persona in favor of a messy, more hateful one. He wants connection but doesn't know how to express his needs in an understandable way, and that frustrates him immensely.
As you can see, match made in heaven.
Gash: DUDE, WHAT THE F*CK!? Scampi: There's a smudge on you- Gash: I DON'T CARE! LET GO!! Scampi: Not 'til I'm done. (Your natural blush is gorgeous; shame it's on you tho)
So yeah, swap shinyshrimp lore drop yippee.
Have a good one chat, til I reappear again✌️✌️

they don't last enough;
pairing- sirius black x shy!reader warnings- hurt/comfort. a/n- hello hello! i'm not dead guys just a bit busy, sorry xx.
the diner
sirius thinks it's a rash decision. harry would say it was, anyways. but, his heart aches. he couldn't just leave you out in the middle of a blizzard. even though, essentially, you're just a stranger.
and he wasn't the only man who was making the rash decisions tonight. you had hopped into his car too, with a promise of heat and a charger. he promised a good, cozy bed, for the night.
the car ride back to his cabin is cruelly slow and silent. sirius doesn't like the silence. not when his heart thumps into his ears. but he doesn't say much either. while uncharacteristic of him to stay quiet, he thinks he'll oblige. shyness is etched all over your face. the way you bite your lower lip, the way you fiddle with the zippers of your cartoonishly buff puffer jacket, the way your brows are furrowed, and the way your shoulders are tight.
he doesn't want to bother you. he thinks of making a joke, but thinks against it, letting your stay in your comfort zone. he halts his car, parking it into his garage. you hop out, standing in the middle of his garden. your yellow jacket a startling sign against the pearl white snow around you.
he stifles a snicker. you look like a warning sign, he thinks. he jingles with the keys, walking closer to you, but not enough to intrude your personal space. his voice is quiet, a raspy purr,
'you gonna come inside, love?' he asks, the nickname rolling off his tongue so casually, it almost makes your breathe hitch. almost. you nod, before speaking up. it's more of a whisper, he thinks.
'yes,' you begin, 'i'll come inside.' he smiles, before running his fingers through his shoulder length black hair, brushing off snowflakes. he walks towards the front door of a cabin, a gesture for you to follow him.
you quietly tread through the ankle deep snow behind him. he's very kind, you think. you were essentially just a stranger, after all. it almost makes you think if he's a serial killer, or worse, a rapist. but you don't dwell on those thoughts. you can't. not when you see a genuine warmth behind his gray eyes. not when you see a genuine kindness in his gestures.
he fiddles with the key for a moment before unlocking his door open. he walks inside, dropping his keys in a chipped bowl which stands by the door. he's got no hooks for keys, you notice. he flops down on the couch, untying his shoe laces. his hair falls in front of his face, hiding the porcelain skin on his cheeks. it's stupid, and unfair, you think, how his skin appears so perfect even when the winter's winds are being so cruel. distastefully, you bite your lip. your tongue darts over it, feeling the chapped skin beneath it.
'you're gonna just stand there, love?' he asks, taking off his second shoe. his hair still covers his face, and even though you can't see him, you can hear the smile in his voice. it makes your stomach wrestle and churn.
'no, i-uhm-' you mumble, sheepishly. your throat feels like it's on fire, like it always does, when making conversations with others. he waves a hand, dismissively. he pats the space next to him,
'i don't bite, love,' he begins, 'come here.'
normally, you would've found the idea of a stranger asking you to sit beside them downright repulsive, but right now, you listen to him. the blankets on the couch look cozy enough. maybe you'd crash on this stranger's couch for the night. the snowstorm wasn't stopping anytime soon, anyways.
you sit down on the other edge of the couch. you shuffle with your own boots, pulling them out, before folding your legs. you hide your toes between the folds your thighs and calves create, sighing contently at the warmth of your own body.
'thank you,' you say. you scold yourself for not saying it earlier. you didn't want this man to think you were taking advantage of his hospitable nature.
'it's okay,' he says, 'i'm sure you would've done the same.'
you nod, silently hoping he won't make more conversation with you.
'what made you drive so recklessly in the snow anyway?' he asks. it wasn't a question you were caught off guard by. you were...expecting it almost. in fact, you had been thinking of a thousand different lies you could've come up with to answer this question. but now, your throat felt hot. constricted.
your eyes drift to the fire that burns in the fireplace. he's covering you up with a blanket. it smells of cinnamon and tobacco. it's a weird smell, but not completely repulsive. in fact, it's comforting, in it's own weird way.
you stare at your fingers. you can feel his stare on your form, gray, curious eyes waiting for a response. the fire crackles the wood, the flames consuming it. it reflects on the thin band of gold around your ring finger.
ironic, you think.
'i was trying to escape confrontation,' you say. it's a quiet whisper. anyone who wasn't waiting for you to speak would've missed it.
sirius raises an eyebrow.
'confrontation?' he asks. your tongue darts out, wetting your chapped lip.
'yes,' you respond, quietly. you clasp your fingers around your ring finger, fiddling with the band around it. 'my..uh, fiancé was-is cheating on me. i didn't want to confront him about it. not now, not ever, if that's possible.'
you're breathless, a little, by the time you stop speaking. your eyes reflect unshed tears. sirius thinks it's cruel, to put it shortly. he watches you fiddling with the ring. he wants to clasp his hands around yours. comfort you, soothe you. tell you lies that'll give you momentary relief from the hurt you feel.
'i'm sorry,' he says, finally. a little sheepish, he continues, 'what's your name?'
you smile, despite yourself. for the first time since you've met him, your gaze finds his.
it almost makes his breathe hitch. he thinks it's beautiful, in a cruel, fucked up way. the tears in your eyes. the flush in your cheeks. the tousle of your hair. the way your tongue and teeth constantly fidget with your lower lip.
it's ridiculous, he thinks. ridiculous because he finds you beautiful like this. bared out to him. open to him. begging to be patched up by him.
quietly, you offer him your name. he nods, though his mind is a little messy with the potential scenarios he could explore, with you. but he's not ruthless. with a slight curl of his lips, he says.
'i'm sirius black.'
'like the star?'
'exactly like the star,' he confirms. you nod. the name suits him, you think to yourself. his eyes shine like stars.
the silence that follows is marred by the snowstorm that howls outside, the fire burning under the mantle. the quiet sounds of your synchronized breaths. it's not awkward. at least, neither of you think it is.
'so-you, uh, how did you find out?' he asks, testing the waters. unconsciously, he scoots closer, afraid you'd break.
'lace underwear in my car,' you answer, bluntly. he grits his teeth. a single tear rolls down your right cheek. he grimaces internally at the sight. he can sense the pain behind your eyes, but a conflicting thought urges him. he thinks you look pretty when you cry. maybe he'll let you cry.
the thought, albeit tempting, is cruel.
his eyes follow your left cheek, and another tear follows pursuit. unconsciously, he drags his thumb on your skin, a numbing action to ground you, to soothe you.
he watches your throat hitch, breathing turn ragged at the unexpected touch. but it's only momentary. you lean onto his touch. it's rough, the pad of his thumb. it's calloused, the palm of his hand, which cups your cheek.
'you're okay,' he whispers. it's a lie, but neither of you acknowledge it. but it's a balm to your soul which burns to weep. yet you find yourself asking.
'am i?'
