SPOILERS FOR LUCANIS ROMANCE
So i finished the game yesterday and i have to admit that i am pretty disappointed with how they handled his romance.
It severely lacks in reactivity from him because it really feels like he doesn’t have a response written in to some of the flirting and just continues talking. He has very short scenes and very few outings as opposed to other characters so it never really feels like there is enough happening in the relationship and the moments he does get are very underwhelming save the end game convos and the “backing away from flirting” scene.
His lock in scene was very awkward I was surprised that was the lock in romance scene at all and after that you get absolutely nothing with him. One coffee scene that is about him and spite that has a minuscule ending thing about you and until the end of the game that’s all you get. Even his combat dialogue stays pretty much the same, the stuff added you can’t even tell are romance specific.
If you don’t romance him or Neve they get together and it feels a lot more fleshed out than when he’s with Rook. I stopped having them together because it genuinely started to piss me off and i felt like i was third wheeling it. Even his fade quest implies his interest in Neve and not Rook and as a player romancing him how am i supposed to be completely fine with that?
(I love Neve and am not bashing on here but it was damn annoying)
Now i love his ending convos but the way you get there is dissatisfying to say the least. I filled in so much with headcanons and I shouldn’t have to.
I have to say even without the romance i think his lack of content does him a great disservice, just comparing how much you can talk with davrin or harding is wild. It feels like outside of him liking coffee and being a professional assassin they didn’t really know what to do with him.
Now i would definitely blame the lay offs for this but the fact that they managed to write out his relationship with Neve AND Bellara makes me feel a bit otherwise. And Mary Kirby has stated that she doesn’t like writing romance but the build up to his character really leads to very little.
This is just my little rant because I really do love the game, and when his scenes are good they are REALLY good, i adore his ending conversations but man, it’s just disappointing and frustrating getting there.
There is so much potential and stuff to work with and they just… did nothing. I’ll headcanon a lot and think of the wigmakers job to compensate i guess.
I don’t like being negative online, there is enough of that going around but i wanted to vent.

Kusakabe, dear, you're too beautiful to be saying that kind of stuff
#jjk spoilers#All the prettiest characters were brought back from apparent death#Nobara was okay and it's true that when I read the lawyer's and Kusakabe's fights against Sukuna I thought it was being kept vague#but to pull a Nobara with all of them... idk#No one stays dead here except for the people who actually care for the kids and by that I mean 'including Yuuji'#kinda lowkey bitter about it#Don't get me wrong I like the characters and also they're super pretty but idk It makes death feel cheap? And the high stakes kinda fake?#Choso Gojo and Nanami actual only characters who died apparently#Well. Poor Itadori#And Kusukabe goes and runs his mouth that way in front of the kid. He is not entirely wrong but also he very much is#And yes he also says 'don't worry it's not for you to feel guilty over anything you're just kids' but also he did very much say that thing#about it all being Gojo's fault for not killing Itadori. In front of Itadori who feels guilty for that precisely#and in front of Megumi who asked Gojo to spare him and also went through the experience of Sukuna using his body as well#So Kusukabe's reassurance about them just being kids and not to feel guilty falls a bit empty#It does feel in character but man it truly makes one appreciate the way Gojo and Nanami dealt with the kids a lot more haha#Ui Ui seems like a dear#Anyway... this chapter felt a bit lame for the most part for me? I like the idea of the characters discussing the could have/would have#and feeling guilt and helplessness over their choices but the way it was done felt a bit lame and without any real emotional punch#It felt more like an explanation to the reader in an awkward way. And there's a lot of empty chat about guilt and grief#without any of the characters really giving off a grieving air about everything and everyone they've lost#And this is precisely what I felt was going to happen with this manga's writing haha#I truly don't understand this kind of writing choices. Contrary to some other shonen writers this author did seem to have the potential#to write this kind of thing well besides the worldbuilding and powers and fight stuff. It's truly a pity. It so breaks my heart#And still this is considered one of the good shonens. Well. WELL haha#I do think shonen can be good! I just think it falls almost always even when there's potential into bery shallow writing#I don't know. Maybe I should read that one Alchemist manga#I've been repeatedly told that one's good and it does seem like it doesn't do... this. But I find the art style so not to my linking#I wish I had never gotten into JJK for real for real. I absolutely adore it. I always end up frustrated. It could be so good. Genuinely good#And yet it's just okay in a sort of forgettable way. What a pity#Everything good ever is present but it never dares do anything to fully explore what it sets. It just does the typical shonen stuff

I was angry. I'm still angry. But sadness and exhaustion have overtaken that anger, and I have A LOT to say about this.
Dead Boy Detectives is a very special show to me. It occupies a ridiculously large place in my heart, and it's brought me joy in a way that only a few pieces of media ever have. When I watched it for the first time, Edwin Payne had my heart within minutes. By the end of episode one, Charles Rowland did, too.
It meant a lot to me, seeing such wonderful and nuanced queer characters brought to life in the type of paranormal story I have always loved. In these past months, Edwin and Charles have felt like real friends to me, and to never see them again without a satisfying conclusion to their story is something I have not truly processed. Same for Niko and Crystal and The Cat King - they should be back. But I haven't fully processed it yet, that they're not coming back, and yet I am still aggreived.
@netflix is, at this point, so fucking gagged on capitalism's dick that they're not even pretending to care about art anymore. Dead Boy Detectives is genuinely masterfully made on just about every level. The actors did a phenomenal job and I will be following all their careers heavily. Steve, Beth, and the writing team crafted an incredible tale. The sets, the lighting, the props, the effects were all on point. This was a well-constructed program, and you could tell that everyone involved with the project gave it their all because they cared so deeply.
(Also my heart breaks for the whole cast, but it's hardcore hurting for George since this was not only his first screen role but one he clearly thought he would be keeping as of two weeks ago. He seemed so secure. I hate this for him.)
In addition to being a good show, DBDA had good reception. It's got a 92% on Rotten Tomatoes, was on the Top 10 for several weeks, got 4.7 million views within week one, and was getting daily articles posted on various review sites with NOTHING but praise. The fandom is incredibly active. We trend on Tumblr like five times a week and on Twitter regularly as well.
THE. SCRIPT. FOR. SEASON. 2. WAS. WRITTEN.
What the fuck happened?
Idiot executives at @netflix, choking on the dick of capitalism, probably just thought that they wouldn't get new subscribers for a second season of an existing show that didn't rake in Bridgerton-level cash. That's how they work - people who are interested in it are already subscribers, so who the fuck cares about them? Better to make some other shit, hope new people subscribe, and maybe that'll be a Bridgerton-level hit.
But also, Netflix has fun little trends to look into. And, when you look at the lineup of shows Netflix has canceled, they are overwhelmingly queer. The homophobia of @netflix and their operatives is clearly boundless, and it hits here really badly because this show was clearly made with a queer audience in mind. It was one of the most authentic pieces of queer media I have ever experienced, if not THE most authentic pieces of queer media that I have ever experienced.
It's fucking ridiculous that Netflix canceled a show that they commissioned a completed script of months ago. It sucks that they decided that their existing subscribers, their queer subscribers, did not matter.
Edwin and Charles are ours now. Well, of course, they're George's and Jayden's respectively, but the characters are no longer Netflix's to use and throw out. They're ours now, our fandom's, and we all love them so much.
And we deserved to see more of them, and we deserved to see their love story play out onscreen, but I for one am not going anywhere. Let's give Edwin and Charles - and the rest of the gang - millions of versions of the stories and endings that Netflix deprived them of.

mikage's 5 steps guide! - nagi.s
Tumblr media
i missed writing for nagi... my loverboy.. also this writing style is so fun??? wth??? i need to write like this again. i can barely keep one eye open so if there's any typo, ignore pls pls.
warnings: some cussing ig?
Tumblr media
nagi was never that charming.
'charming' couldn't even stand being a word in his dictionary to be honest, nagi truly had zero sense of romance within him. he was an actual brick-walled person when it came to these things, or anything of strong-emotions in particular, there was no thoughts behind those void eyes of his but a circle of: sleep, eat, go to work, eat again, play games, sleep, and repeat.
even back to his high school years, not once he recalls talking to a girl, let alone getting a girlfriend, that was something beyond out of his character. maybe there was a girl that confessed to him, he remembered on valentines day he got a letter saying that he should go to the school's roof. and he ended up leaving the poor girl hanging on the air till the sky was clean orange because he genuinely 'forgot', nagi then earned the title 'heartbreaker' for a year straight, he let it be since it was much of a hassle to keep on correcting them. not like his reputation was any better before.
so you could say that nagi wasn't that much of a company to have around, on the other hand was his friend, reo who was basically the opposite of nagi, if anything he was prince charming himself. those social skills were enough to befriend anyone on sight, he got the looks, money and attention was surrounding him 24/7.
and even if reo gather the earth power to try and motivate nagi would go down hill, every time he tried setting him on a date it's either gonna end up horrible or nagi using the excuse to go to the bathroom and vanish to the nowhere. what an asshole.
at some point, reo accept the fact that maybe he's friend will in fact die alone.
and things switched around when you came to the picture.
first it wasn't that hard to notice you, your desk was glued to him after all. it was weird when you would greet him every morning and wish him a good night when you left, no one ever did that to him before, he tends to ignore and ends up being ignored. it was nice, a little reminder that somone was seeing him, acknowledging him.
slowly, the walls between you two was falling apart with each introduction. when you would pat him from his little naps for lunch time, or when it was leaving time, then he would stare at your back until your figure disappeared with a last wave, staring at the door for a little too long, perhaps wishing for you to walk back in.. who said that?
it was getting worse, or better, not the best at analysing his feelings. but nagi found himself looking out for a glimpse of you around the office, he has no shame to admit that the world suddenly felt gloomy without your presence beside him.
maybe he raised his head a little too fast when you walked in, maybe not. but he mostly did.
then you would ramble about how your shitty neighbour refused to clean after his pets filth and you two had a screaming match for a while before realising you were late. the was the worst way to start a monday morning, so you closed your eyes shut, rubbed your forehead for a peace of mind. then you opened your eyes, a piece of your favourite snaked would magically appear on your table.
for some reason your eyes traveled to the white painted head, he was looking at the other side, avoiding your questionable gaze hoovering over him.
Mondays aren't so bad after all, you thought.
perhaps he did place it there, who knows. —but nagi just really didn't like seeing you glum.
possibly, did he grew fond of you? he doesn't know. all he knew that lunch box you handed him the next day is a blessed gift within his palms. too good for him, you were too good for him.
you were the prove that the sky itself favoured him above anyone.
and when nagi wanted to ask you out, he only had one person to guide him to your heart.
so the very mysterious person behind the scene (reo) had a astounding idea that if someone like nagi; mister, game-addiction-freak. that on every step he'll get points! 100-90 if he did well, 80-70 not bad, 60-40 could've been worse.. 40-20 definitely could've been better... 20-0 yikes....
so with that, nagi was sent on a personal mission to win you over and soothe you with his nonexistent charm.
STEP ONE: be straightforward! it's not good to keep on dancing on someone's mindset with hints, it may cause a lot of confusion feelings and misunderstandings! only ask under a certain circumstances, a suitable place where were you two sit alone so they could have they're attention on you only. SIDE NOTE: try to make a good welcoming conversation to ease up the tension first then ask!
so nagi did just that, maybe a little too well.
he couldn't even eat his own lunch and just kept on rubbing his sweaty hands against each other's, staring back forth —he just noticed how many unfamiliar faces were there? did he really only seeyou?一 he was extra quiet which made you ask him multiple times if he was okay, he would just hum in response. what a smooth talker.
"nagi, you haven't even touched your food. are you actually okay?" you questioned, concerned. after taking a brief sip of your juice, but nagi just shook his head in conform, you raised a brow, a little in disbelief that he would think an obvious lie would go through you just like that. there was something off. the tension upon you two was twisting.
the words were on the tip of his tongue, yet they felt un-removed. all this stressing over four words were a pain, and a heavy burden he needed to reales before he lose his breathing track.
and the moment you took a bite and chewing on it, he just had to drop the bomb carelessly.
"go out with me."
so nagi didn't try and sooth the air, nor start a decent conversation. and when he gathered the earth courage to speak up, it wasn't even a question, that was a whole ass demand.
although, it worked. but it definitely could've gone better than you choking on your own food that you swore you witnessed death himself laughing his ass off at you.
what a great timing.
after you saw the heavens gates open for you and life flashing through your eyes, weirdly enough, you accepted.
huh, maybe he didn't mess up everything like he thought (he in fact did).
20 points!
STEP TWO: dress nice and compliment their outfit! dressing well means that you take the date seriously, complimenting them to foster a better sense of comfort and confidence, and they'll compliment you back! extra points if you made them all blushy and giddy!
nagi really wasn't the best at this.
instead of dressing 'nicely', all he wore was a big white hoodie and pants. didn't put much effort to his hair and just went off. it wasn't his problem that picking an estimated outfit was such a hassle. it's good at least it is something that covers him, right?
it all went downhill when you showed up, listen. he always thought you looked fit and nice in your suit work, and now he definitely wasn't ready to see you in regular, uniform out of work place. you just looked... so good, even great, stunning and beautiful, you name it.
nagi barely breath out a greeting, his eyes too busy scanning you from head to toe over and over, he couldn't take his gaze out of your sight even when you were on your way to the table. and he almost stumbled over twice for that, the first was nearly his face planting on the floor, and the second time he almost knocked out a whole plate of drinks. you just somehow managed to muddle over half of senses with your looks alone, maybe he should've considered writing his last letter.
"nagi.. you're staring too much."
the of yours dragged him out of his thoughts line. he saw as you held a sheepish— extra points?—expression, it was either from his heart-eyes eating you alive, or the date itself was bringing you to the nervous state, or both?
nagi cleared his throat, slightly cringing at himself for staring a little too hard. he was absolutely not doing reo's steps justice.
"sorry. you just, look really pretty." if not the prettiest of all, but again, nagi has eyes for you only to pay a mind to others around him.
your breath halts at that, you don't know what to say for a second, nagi himself was complementing you? and the fact that he said as it was a matter of a fact was such an out character thing. but at the same time a an amiable change. and it was for you only.
"thank you, I appreciate that." you say as you kept on twirling your fingers over your hair, you felt like a lovesick teenager. "I think you look very nice as well." you add, almost like a whisper, he still managed to catch it.
nagi let out a scoff, not even a smile forming on his features for that. "it's just hoodie, really."
"i still like it, it's very like you. I'm happy seeing that you can be yourself around me."
he flinch a bit at that, he really wasn't ready for this- it takes a strong-soulful soldier to handle this. and he really, really wanted to be gods strongest warrior just for you. so he gets a grip on himself and mumble a thanks.
you smile sweetly at that, and nagi may really be not the strongest soldier under your spell.
50 points!
STEP THREE: make a conversation! show interest in their personal life and listen to every ramble they have, try to also throw side comments there and here to support them and blow away any negative feelings of the talk being one-sided. also try and talk about your own life to make it easier for them to talk all night. SIDE NOTE: try and joke around to bloom a friendly tune. extra points if you made them laugh!
third time's a charm, right?
however, since nagi was uncommonly unfond of others babbling. in fact he found it annoying and it was hard keeping his eyes evenly open. but then when it comes to you, he found your feathery tune to be airy, he grew ease to it pitch.
so he handed over all his senses of hearing to you on one knee, and let you speak freely. switching between different topics form nowhere, and like the world- his world- itself was turning for you only, his eyes and soul was for you to talk and he'll rot into a shallow void to your lovely enunciate to play on a broken radio repeating.
maybe he should tell you to stop, because your non-touched food was getting cold, and maybe he should tell that to himself that too because he didn't even realize his plate was even there.
it felt like he had drifted from the original plan, instead the tables were turned and he was the one being swoon by you..
not that he minded honestly. but ending the night with you being the one who filled the space was enough to create a makeshift reo berating him, nevertheless, nagi really, really wanted you to like him back. to consider the idea of another date with him.
plus, he also liked your laugh, he really did. didn't the guide say something about making you laugh? even tried telling a joke that you actually chuckled at, something that was unneeded to say that his book was empty, he had to search on google "funny jokes" for gods sakes, how hopeless can he possibly get?
"why couldn't the sunflower ride it bike?" nagi utter flatly, "why" you slope your head to the side. "because it lost it petals." the joke was old, dusty, forsaken. and the urge to recoil the second it left his mouth was understandable. but somehow you still pushed out a laugh at it, you don't know if it was an amusingly one, or because that nonchalant face was clearly begging you to laugh. with that monochromatic tone and all made it even funnier.
that bloomed the smallest amount of exhilaration within his rib cage. it was lovely, and what was made the giddiness to flourish inside his belly was the fact that he was the reason for it. it felt priceless. a sight to a crave in his midst. completely bizarrely about all of this, nagi let's you take over him. to consume him, his heart, his breath and soul were yours to claim.
at least he did something good that night?
70 points!
STEP FOUR: walk them back home! it's quite a simple act but very affected and gentlemanly, make sure to make them feel save and guarded! hidden notes: try to hold their hand!
after paying the price, you and nagi take your leave. with also nagi's off attitude with him opening the doors for you and let you walk first. although, who were to complain about such a treatment? you'll take it
but weirdly enough, nagi was a bit on the edge. like he had a n amount of ants in his pants, couldn't look at your direction, barely spoke out a response, or anything in general. and 一was he holding his breath???一
wait, was nagi actually.... nervous?
you glanced at him, shoulders stiffened, hands moving too much and fast, mouth was dry and agape, half dizzy 一when he isn't?一
now that you did not expect.
it was even ten times worse than him in the cafeteria earlier, it felt like nagi was about to confess to you his cruelest crime. the tenseness was mixed with the deep-seated tenderness, nevertheless, it was a bittersweet taste. and it kept on going until you two stood together by your home.
"i had fun tonight, nagi." you spoke first.
he finally flinched out of his own world, he sees you rubbing your arm, the gesture was sketchy, almost as if you were waiting for him to say something, anything.
but nagi's mind was blank, blow out an air in his ear and it will run out of the other, empty head. yet his mind was roaming, that need to say something clung up to him again. too many thoughts he cannot process.
but all nagi did know was he wanted you to stay a little longer.
"that's.. good?" he should have stayed quiet, what kind of answer is that.
you nodded awkwardly in agreement, breathing out an 'yeah..' he felt a bit guilty at making you feel uncomfortable, the fact of him being unfaithful may have crossed your mind, and nagi didn't like it. but you always managed to make feel weird, he always felt too warm when you would get close to him, words were lost when he would look at your eyes, and now this..
but despite everything, he felt like himself when he was with you the most..
every game had it secret move, and his was that he need to let himself be.
"can we do this again? i also had a good night." a part of nagi wanted to add that it was one of the best nights he ever had, yet it was too cheesy, cringe.
"yes!" you replied, too fast. you sounded so desperate! you palmed your mouth, embarrassment remains on your face as you cleared your throat. "i mean.. yes, we can do this again."
nagi had to physically bent down his head, he was gonna set you on fire alive with his eyes, if he may say, you looked cute when flustered. and his heart wouldn't stop beating so infuriated, almost bursting out raw of chest.
nagi for some reason, stretched out his arms. it was bold and he knew it, he just did it and hoped for you to handle it. "um.. can i?" he sees you halting at your place. eyes ogling around but his own.
you walk up all jittery to him until there's barely any inches left between the two of you, you kept your eyes glued to your feet as if it was the most interesting thing in this moment, but it's also like you were asking him if it was okay, unsureness. so he pushes your head gently forward to rest on his stiffen chest. an arm runs around your back to force you as close as possible to him.
you shrivel when nagi's nose would be buried deep unto your hair locks. your scent would draw him at slacken, his whole body bending against yours that you felt like he wanted to crawl under your skin desperately, searching for the seeds of endless love you endowed to him.
you didn't know if you were somehow intoxicated, but you swore that you felt a pair of soft lips pressing against your skull, god, you felt like melting and soon to become a paste sliding down between his fingers. you gently pushed yourself back, and perhaps you imagined nagi's whining for you to not let go. it's like you were gonna fly away once he unwrapped you free. the second you meet his face, a pout expression on his lips, and you couldn't help yourself from cupping his cheeks, squeezing them slightly. a smile made it way to your face as his eyebrows grew frowned.
nagi's hands were on yours, pulling them down from his face, but not too far. unabashedly keeping his eyes locked with yours, he was holding you tight and close, basically hostage. the bug-stomach is back at again but more fiercely than ever.
80 points!
FINAL STEP: kiss.
the dull hue travels down on your lips. boldly, he doesn't look away for what felt like eternity, if anything it seems like they grew heavy the second you parted them slightly to say something that sticked on your tongue.
"can i kiss you?"
was he trying to kill you?
you don't respond, instead you made a move to give him a quick peck on his cheek. backing off faster than ever. nagi stood still, rooting in his place, completely bamboozled. his mind stopped working and his eyes were drifting off in different directions.一is it normal that he felt like melting to the ground?一
"im so sorry, nagi- i just got really nervous and-"
"seishiro."
"eh?"
"seishiro, call me seishiro." he finally found a piece of mind to say. he didn't know if it came out as a command, but he sincerely wanted you to call him by his name. he'd die a happy man then.
"well.. goodnight, seishiro. can't wait for our next date," you said, weaving before your door. nagi barely being able to wave back, his mind was still half empty. you just made him see the light of the stars and left with with the sweetest, loveliest smile for him to think about for the next couple of weeks.
maybe he stood there for a little longer than he should have, his face was on fire, his heart on race track. antithesis of the nonchalant face he had, he made a move to rub the spot you pressed your soft lips against. and the first thing that came to his mind that it was definitely worth it.
and by now, he absolutely forgot about the points and the game itself. oh well, at least half of it worked. he just did it in his own version, which apparently was charming to you. nagi thinks if being charm to you, than he can come over anything.
limitless points! you have made your own path to the heart!

jacaerys velaryon x wife!reader — prompt list 1.8 and 1.23 from my autumn party!
words: 3.6k
notes: not really sure how used i am to writing smut but i hope you enjoy! "Character B teasing Character A’s nipples with their fingers (or tongue) and enjoying the way they’re making Character A break (in a good way) completely from that; flicking them and rolling the buds between their fingers." and “I’m a mess right now.” “Hmm… And I wonder why that is?” “Hmm, yeah, I wonder why, too.” requested
The warm water enveloped you, soothing your tired muscles as you sank deeper into the copper bathtub. Steam rose lazily from the surface, carrying with it the delicate scent of lavender and rosemary from the oils you'd added to your bath. The soft glow of candles flickered around the room, casting dancing shadows on the stone walls of your shared chambers.
You closed your eyes, letting out a contented sigh as the tension of the day slowly melted away. The castle had been bustling with activity lately, preparations for the upcoming harvest festival keeping everyone busy from dawn till dusk. This quiet moment of solitude felt like a precious gift.
As you trailed your fingers through the water, creating gentle ripples, your thoughts drifted to Jace. Your husband had been even busier than usual, locked away in meetings with advisors and visiting diplomats. You'd barely seen him these past few days, exchanging only brief glances and fleeting touches as you passed in the hallways.
A pang of longing tugged at your heart. You missed him – the sound of his laugh, the warmth of his embrace, the way his eyes crinkled at the corners when he smiled at you. Your marriage may have started as a political alliance, but over the past year, your feelings for Jace had deepened into something you never expected.
The soft creak of the chamber door pulled you from your reverie. You opened your eyes, sitting up slightly in the bath as Jace entered the room. He looked weary, his broad shoulders slumped under the weight of his responsibilities. Dark circles shadowed his eyes, and his usually neat hair was disheveled, as if he'd been running his hands through it in frustration.
"Jace," you said softly, a welcoming smile curving your lips. "I wasn’t expecting you back so soon."
He turned at the sound of your voice, his tired expression brightening as his gaze fell upon you. "The meeting ended early, thank the gods," he said, crossing the room to stand beside the bathtub. "I couldn’t bear another moment of Lord Baldric’s endless droning about grain tariffs."
You laughed softly, understanding all too well the tedium of such discussions. "Poor darling," you teased gently. "How ever did you survive?"
A wry smile tugged at the corner of Jace’s mouth. "I may have imagined dumping a pitcher of wine over his head once or twice," he admitted, earning another laugh from you.
As your laughter faded, you noticed the tightness around Jace’s eyes, the way he was holding himself so rigidly. Concern welled up inside you. "You look exhausted, love," you murmured, reaching out to brush your fingers against his hand where it rested on the edge of the tub.
Jace sighed, some of the tension seeming to drain out of him at your touch. "I am," he confessed. "These negotiations are dragging on far longer than I’d anticipated. Some days I feel as if I’m trying to herd cats rather than run a kingdom."
You nodded sympathetically, your thumb tracing soothing circles on the back of his hand. "Why don’t you join me?" you suggested softly. "The water’s still hot, and I think we could both use a moment of peace."
For a moment, Jace hesitated, glancing toward the stack of documents on his desk. You could almost see the weight of his duties pressing down on him. But then he looked back at you, his gaze softening as it met yours. "That sounds wonderful," he said, a small but genuine smile spreading across his face.
Jace’s smile sent a flutter through your chest, that familiar warmth blooming at the sight of his weariness easing, if only for a moment. You watched as he began to unlace his tunic, the soft rustle of fabric filling the otherwise quiet room. His movements were deliberate, slow, as if the day's weight was still clinging to him, but the thought of sharing this moment with you seemed to breathe some life back into him.
You leaned back in the tub, letting the warm water cradle you as your eyes remained on him. His tunic fell to the floor, revealing the strong lines of his chest and arms, the muscles that tensed and relaxed with every breath. It was a sight you never tired of, though you'd never confess how much you loved watching him like this, stripped of the layers of duty and titles. Here, he was just Jace, your Jace.
As he stepped into the bath, the water shifted around you both, rising just a little higher as he settled in beside you. The warmth of his body beneath the water brushed against your skin, sending a pleasant shiver through you. He sighed deeply, closing his eyes for a moment as he leaned his head back against the rim of the tub, allowing the water to do its work in soothing his muscles.
You couldn’t help but smile at the sight of him finally relaxing, his face no longer tight with the stress that had followed him all day. Reaching over, you let your fingers trail gently through the water, brushing against his hand before weaving them with his. His thumb moved over your knuckles in response, a silent thank you for this moment of peace.
For a while, you both simply sat in the comfortable silence, the only sound the occasional soft ripple of water as one of you shifted slightly. The candlelight flickered around you, casting a soft glow over Jace’s skin, highlighting the lines of his jaw, the curve of his lips. You drank in the sight of him, every detail of his face more familiar to you now than you ever thought possible.
After a time, Jace broke the silence, his voice low and warm. “I missed you today,” he confessed, his eyes still closed as if the words were easier to speak when he wasn’t looking directly at you. “I know we haven’t had much time together lately, but... you were on my mind.”
Your heart swelled at his words, a soft smile curving your lips. “I missed you too,” you replied quietly. “More than I expected.”
He opened his eyes then, turning his head slightly to look at you. There was something soft in his gaze, an unspoken understanding passing between you. The past few weeks had been a whirlwind of obligations and duties, leaving little time for moments like this. But here, in this quiet space, you could feel the connection between you both growing stronger, like an invisible thread weaving tighter around your hearts.
Slowly, Jace shifted closer to you, the water rippling gently around him as he moved. His arm slid around your waist, drawing you against his chest in a gentle, unhurried embrace. You sighed softly as you rested your head against him, the steady beat of his heart beneath your ear grounding you in this moment. His hand moved to your hair, his fingers threading through the damp strands, a gesture so tender it made your chest ache with the depth of it.
“This feels right,” he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper, as if speaking louder would shatter the fragile stillness around you. “Being here with you.”
You nodded against him, your hand resting on his chest as you felt his heartbeat steady and strong beneath your palm. “It always feels right with you,” you replied, your words honest and quiet.
His hand moved from your hair, gliding slowly down your back, the touch featherlight but deliberate. You felt a slight shiver run down your spine, the warmth of the water suddenly mingling with a new heat that settled low in your belly. Jace’s breath hitched almost imperceptibly, and you wondered if he could feel the same pull in the air between you, the slow-burning tension that had quietly built up over these past few weeks.
His fingers brushed along your skin beneath the water, trailing along your waist, the touch so subtle yet impossible to ignore. A deep, aching need stirred within you, slow and undeniable. The closeness of his body, the intimacy of this quiet moment, heightened everything. You could feel the steady rise and fall of his chest beneath your cheek, could hear the slight hitch in his breathing as his hand traced those lazy patterns on your skin.
His lips pressed gently against the top of your head, soft and lingering, sending a rush of warmth through you. You tilted your head slightly, meeting his gaze, and in that moment, the look in his eyes was unmistakable. It wasn’t rushed or urgent, but there was a depth to it, an intensity that made your heart skip a beat.
Slowly, almost without thinking, you shifted your body, turning slightly in the water so you could face him fully. His eyes stayed on yours, dark and unreadable for a moment, but then his hand slid to the nape of your neck, guiding you closer. The water rippled between you as your bodies moved together, your legs brushing beneath the surface.
Your lips met his in a kiss that started slow, gentle, like the softest whisper. But there was something more behind it, a need that simmered just beneath the surface, growing with every passing second. His other hand found your waist, pulling you closer still, until your bodies were pressed together beneath the warm water.
You could feel his heartbeat against your chest, fast and strong, matching the quickening rhythm of your own. The sensation of his skin against yours, the warmth of his breath as he deepened the kiss, was enough to make your head spin. Every touch, every small movement, was like fuel to the slow-burning fire between you.
When you finally pulled back, both of you breathing harder than before, Jace rested his forehead against yours. His hand still held the back of your neck, his thumb stroking your skin in slow, soothing circles.
“I’ve missed this,” he murmured, his voice husky. “Missed you.”
You swallowed hard, your throat tight with emotion. “I’ve missed you too,” you whispered, your voice barely audible over the soft lapping of the water. Your hand rested against his chest, feeling the steady rise and fall beneath your palm.
For a moment, the world outside the walls of your chambers seemed to vanish. There was no kingdom to rule, no duties pulling him away. It was just the two of you, wrapped in each other, surrounded by warmth and quiet intimacy.
Jace’s fingers brushed along your jaw, tilting your chin slightly as he kissed you again, this time slower, lingering, as if savoring the moment. His hand slid down to your waist, holding you close, his touch tender but firm, grounding you in the here and now.
Jace’s lips were soft against yours, his kiss unhurried but full of that quiet intensity you'd come to love. His hand, still cradling the back of your neck, seemed to be the only thing tethering you to the moment as everything else melted away – responsibilities, stress, even time itself. It was just you and him, wrapped in the hazy warmth of the bath, the world outside your chambers forgotten.
His lips moved down, trailing along the line of your jaw, the heat of his breath making your skin tingle. You could feel him shifting, his body brushing against yours beneath the water. That familiar heat stirred inside you, slow and smoldering, spreading from the pit of your stomach outward. The feeling of his skin, slick from the water, sent shivers through you, heightening every sensation.
His mouth found the curve of your neck, lingering there as his hand slid slowly down your side, tracing your waist before slipping beneath the water. He took his time, his movements deliberate, teasing, like he wanted to savor every inch of your skin.
Your breath hitched when his lips traveled lower, his mouth now grazing your collarbone. Your heart raced, the tension between you growing with each passing moment. His hand found your waist again, drawing you closer, your bodies almost completely entwined now. The feel of him, of his warmth, his strength, was intoxicating.
Then, he stopped, pulling back slightly to look at you. His eyes were dark, filled with that playful glint you knew so well, but there was something else, something deeper. He held your gaze as his lips curved into a slow smile, the kind that sent a thrill through you.
Without a word, he lowered his head again, and this time his lips found your breast, his mouth teasing the sensitive skin there. A gasp escaped you, your fingers threading through his damp hair as you arched into his touch. Jace’s tongue flicked lightly over your nipple, the sensation sending a shock of pleasure through you, and your body responded, every muscle tightening, your breath coming faster.
He hummed against your skin, the vibration adding to the rush of sensation, and you couldn’t help the way your body reacted – completely out of your control, a soft moan escaping your lips. His hand, still firm on your waist, slid upward, fingers brushing the underside of your breast as he continued his slow, torturous teasing.
You were trembling now, barely able to hold yourself together, your mind hazy with need. Jace lifted his head, his lips brushing your ear as he whispered, his voice a low murmur, “I’m a mess right now.”
You managed a breathless laugh, though it came out shaky. “Hmm… and I wonder why that is?”
Jace pulled back just enough to look at you, his smirk returning. “Hmm, yeah, I wonder why, too.” His tone was playful, but the intensity in his eyes betrayed him – he knew exactly what he was doing to you, how he was unraveling you piece by piece.
His hand moved again, cupping your breast as he brought his mouth back down to your skin, his tongue flicking over your nipple once more. Your fingers tightened in his hair, a shuddering breath escaping you as you gave in to the sensations, your body arching toward him.
And in that moment, you couldn’t think of anything else – only the warmth of his body pressed against yours, the steady rhythm of his heartbeat beneath your palm, and the way his touch made you feel like you were coming undone, in the best possible way.
Jace’s lips never left your skin, his touch steady yet electrifying as he continued to explore you. His breath was hot against your breast, his mouth working over you with a practiced ease that sent waves of pleasure coursing through you. Your heartbeat matched the rhythm of his, fast and erratic, both of you caught in this moment that felt suspended in time.
His hand slid lower, his fingertips tracing idle patterns along your waist, but his lips moved up to your neck once more, pressing soft kisses along the curve of your throat.
“You have no idea,” he murmured against your skin, his voice hoarse with need, “how tired I am of those lords. Tired of hearing them complain, tired of their endless demands.” His words were punctuated by another kiss, this one lingering, just beneath your ear. “All I’ve craved, all I’ve needed…” He paused, his hand tightening slightly on your hip, pulling you closer. “Is time with my wife.”
The weight of his confession settled between you, heavy with longing and the desire that had been building for days, weeks even. You could feel the truth in his words, the weariness from his responsibilities melting away as his body pressed against yours, his heart and mind focused only on this – on you.
You sighed, the warmth of his skin grounding you in the moment, as his lips trailed back down to your collarbone. “I needed this,” he whispered, the vulnerability in his tone cutting through the air, making your chest ache in response.
You cupped his face, lifting his chin so his eyes met yours. His gaze was intense, raw, the weariness still there but softened by the relief of being here with you. “Then take your time,” you whispered back, your voice soft but steady.
His lips quirked into a small smile, something tender and almost boyish behind it. Then, without another word, he leaned in and kissed you, slow and deliberate, savoring the way your mouths met, the connection between you palpable and real. His hands slid back up to your shoulders, pulling you even closer until there was nothing between you but the warm water, your hearts pounding in sync.
Jace’s lips found your neck again, his breath hot against your skin as he trailed kisses along your throat, each one slower, more deliberate. His hands, large and calloused from years of sword training, traced a path down your spine, sending shivers along your skin despite the warmth of the water surrounding you. His need for you was palpable, each touch brimming with the weight of all those days apart.
His fingers tightened at your waist, guiding you with a gentle urgency until you were straddling him, your bodies so close that you could feel the heat radiating off him. The water rippled around you both, the only sound in the quiet chamber the soft slosh of it and your quickened breaths.
“Gods,” he whispered, his voice rough, almost ragged with want. His hands slid up your thighs beneath the water, his grip firm but trembling ever so slightly, betraying just how desperate he was for you.
You could feel the hardness of him pressing against you, the proof of his desire impossible to ignore. His lips hovered just above your skin, the tips of his fingers brushing across your waist and thighs, and you could feel the tension between you thickening, building like a taut string waiting to snap.
When his mouth finally found yours again, the kiss was deeper, hungrier. His hands gripped your hips, pulling you down onto him in one slow, deliberate movement, a low moan escaping his throat as he filled you. The sound of his need, so raw and vulnerable, made your breath catch in your chest, and your fingers dug into his shoulders, grounding yourself in the intensity of it all.
He whimpered softly, a sound that made your heart clench in your chest. There was something so unguarded about the way he responded to you, the way he moved beneath you, his head tipping back against the rim of the tub as he tried to catch his breath.
“Please,” he whispered, his voice barely audible over the soft lapping of the water. “Don’t stop.” His hands slid from your waist to your thighs, guiding you, urging you to move. And you did, your body responding to his silent plea as you began to grind against him, the slow, sensual rhythm you set making him shudder beneath you.
Each time your hips met his, his breath hitched, and the softest, neediest sounds escaped his lips – a mix of moans and barely-restrained whimpers that made your heart race. His hands gripped your thighs tighter, his fingers digging into your skin as if he was afraid you might slip away, as if he needed you closer, needed you to know just how much he craved you.
The water sloshed gently around you both as your movements became more fluid, more deliberate, the quiet intimacy of the moment giving way to something deeper, something primal. Jace’s head tipped back again, his eyes squeezing shut, his lips parted as another whimper escaped him, his body trembling beneath yours as he lost himself in the sensation of you.
“Wife,” he breathed, his voice low and shaky. “I’m so… so close. I don’t want this to end.” His hands slid up your sides, his thumbs brushing just beneath your breasts as he pulled you down against him, his forehead resting against yours. His breath was hot against your lips, each exhale shaky, unsteady.
Your movements slowed, each grind drawing out his pleasure, and you could feel the tension building inside you too, that same intoxicating need. His whimpers grew more desperate, more ragged, as his fingers threaded through your hair, tugging gently, guiding your lips back to his. The kiss was needy, breathless, as if he was trying to lose himself in the feel of your mouth, your body, everything.
And then he whispered your name, the sound of it filled with so much longing and affection that your heart ached with it. His fingers tightened in your hair, his hips bucking up against yours as his control began to fray.
“Love you,” he murmured against your lips, his voice breaking with emotion, with need.
His words sent you over the edge, the rush of heat and pleasure flooding through you in waves as you moved against him one last time. He groaned, his grip tightening on your hips as he followed you over the edge, his body trembling beneath yours as he found his release, his whimpers soft and needy against your lips.
For a moment, the world fell away, and it was just you and Jace, tangled together in the warmth of the water, your hearts still racing, your breaths coming in short, uneven bursts. His arms wrapped around you, pulling you close, holding you like you were the only thing grounding him.
As the aftershocks of pleasure slowly ebbed away, you felt him press a soft kiss to your forehead, his lips lingering there for a long moment. When you finally looked up at him, his eyes were soft, filled with that quiet, unspoken affection that always made your heart flutter.
“Thank you,” he whispered, his voice barely audible, as if he didn’t have the words to fully express what this moment had meant to him.
You smiled, resting your head against his chest, feeling the steady rhythm of his heartbeat beneath your cheek. In this quiet, intimate moment, the weight of the world seemed to vanish, leaving only the two of you, wrapped in each other’s warmth, safe in each other’s arms.

What the heart wants
Tumblr media
Headcanon + small scenario (X Gn reader)
Hazbin Hotel
How do they realize they have feelings for you
So I started writing that by thinking I would do many characters in one post but Alastor ended up being...huh quite long. So I might do the others by two or alone depending on how much inspiration I'll have. Anyways enjoy!
♥︎♥︎♥︎♥︎♥︎
Alastor
- At the very beginning, he's simply genuinely happy to be in your presence. A bit like Rosie, you're a close friend of his. He feels like he can trust you and talk to you openly.
- He knows you understand him. That he doesn't have to force his smile whenever he's with you.
- You two only saw each other for hotel business at first. Discussions about the new (childish) activities or how more delusional princess Morningstar was becoming every day.
- Soon, he began to ask you out. Simply to accompany him in town to buy a few things for the hotel...and ending up talking for hours returning to the hotel way past the sky becoming dark.
- His heart flutters whenever you choose to join him in the living room to sip on your drink or to read. He simply cannot stop staring at your peaceful face, how it scrunches a bit when you concentrate.
- He has to stop himself from wanting to boop that adorable nose of yours.
- His annoying tail keeps wagging under his coat when you're around, threatening to reveal it's secret to everyone around. He tries to hold it still or even to sit on it but when you smile it's simply no use.
- The more time he spends with you, the more he finds himself craving your presence. It's suddenly not only fondness anymore, there's something else...something that terrifies him.
- Last night during Charlie's bonding activities, you were watching the movie with attention and his gaze wandered to your hands and how soft they looked and how he just wanted to take them in his.
- How he would of loved to have felt them on him...did he just think that?
- That's...new. He felt a new spark ignite within him. A new yearning for your touch.
- That's when he understood he couldn't go back anymore. He had crossed the line he promised himself he would never cross.
- He fell for you and he definitely hates it. It's a loss of control over his own emotions and he simply cannot allow it.
- He will start to avoid you as much as possible the moment he feels he's loosing control about his fondness for you.
- Avoiding your gaze, turning his head when you try to lock eye with him. Shying away from your touches or even cutting short your conversations.
- But it simply hurts too much to be away from you all day. His avoidance won't last long. His heart is breaking to see your confused face as he excuses himself to leave the table once you sit across him.
- He can't anymore he has to have you.
♥︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡
He's preparing your coffee this morning, like he started to do a week ago. After all, he was watching you do it every single time, he learned what you liked. Every morning you would wake up after him and drag yourself down in the living room, choosing to sit next to him to drink your warm coffee. The minutes he sees you walk in the living room minding your own business, he feel himself getting all giddy. Maybe you have time for a nice conversation before dinner? You're always so interesting to listen to! He finds himself wanting to get up and run to your side, hoping to get a bit more of your attention...
Wait.
He's longing for your attention? Oh that won't do! That definitely won't do. Not again! You're supposed to be at his feet not the other way around! But as he watches you disappear into the kitchen without him having the chance to exchange a few words with you, his heart sinks. No that's a good thing. You won't be able to bother him with your beautiful eyes that seems to sparkles when you speak about your day...
Oh there he was imagining it again!
He pulls at his hair his smile strained. He feels like he's loosing his mind. He can't ignore you it's making it worse! Now he feels like he's addicted. He has to stop this burning ache inside his heart. That hole you carved by your presence.
He's craving your attention, your conversation, your smile, he's craving you. And there's nothing you can do to stop him now.

Breaking Up hcs | Genshin & HSR
Have I done this before? I know I made that "what if we broke up?" post but I don't think I've done break up hcs before? I hope not anyway cuz i'm doing them now! Also, maybe I went overboard a little cuz even I felt bad lol and I usually don't feel sad when I write angst.
Characters: Aether, Diluc, Wanderer, Caelus, Jing Yuan, and Aventurine (lol I'ma try)
Tumblr media
☽ Aether
That break up took a toll on him, more so than even he thought at first. Sleeping became his least favorite activity because he was constantly seeing your faces in his dreams. Constantly.
The entirety of Teyvat fell apart for the short time their favorite errand boy refused to do anything for them. Honestly, Aether didn't do anything for the first week or so. He was barely eating, barely sleeping, barely alive.
It was hard adventuring too, Paimon no longer wanted him to go because sometimes he'd just get distracted and take unnecessary hits. It was kinda bad. Eventually, she got Katheryne to no longer give him any combat requests because he just wasn't doing good enough.
All he wanted to do was talk to you, but you didn't want to talk to him, so that led him to just remaining in his teapot alone. He didn't even allow visitors for a short while. Paimon did her best to try and comfort him, but there were so few words that could actually get through that sorrow he was dealing with.
It took maybe a month before he allowed people to come visit him and under no circumstances were they allowed to bring you up. Mainly because he'd cry. Everyone did try in their own way to help him, even people like Wanderer or Arlecchino tried to give him some "words of wisdom". It... didn't work mainly because Aether wasn't receptive to it anymore.
☽ Diluc
He really did busy himself with work like he said he would. It's almost all hours of the day. He's rarely even seen at home anymore.
Ironically, Diluc is still very careful about getting hurt because if he did, then he'd need to remain at home and be on bed rest and he genuinely couldn't handle that.
He no longer sleeps in his bed either. Usually, he comes home later, collapses on the couch for a few hours until some dream about you wakes him up and he's back to work. He can't stand sleeping in that bed because you used to lay right beside him.
No one, I mean no one, is allowed to even say your name. Truth be told, Diluc is barely hanging on by a thread, someone saying your name and bringing your image to his mind's eye would ruin him.
Even Kaeya doesn't tease him. Actually, Kaeya keeps away because Diluc is quite irritable and not many people wanted to deal with that. While they understood the break up upset him... it was just too much.
☽ Wanderer
Oh boy. Breaking up with him was hard because he was angry and yelling (at the situation apparently), and just saying no. Eventually though, he relented and agreed. You didn't want to be with him and... well, it wasn't right to force you.
The aftermath was pretty bad. He was angry, didn't want to talk to anyone, and just up and vanished for a while. It wasn't until Aether and Paimon accidentally stumbled upon him while adventuring that they learned a little about what happened.
(W/n) explained that he never thought he'd lose you. Out of all the people he was "friendly" with, he never thought you would up and leave the way you did. It broke his heart- a heart he didn't even know started beating again.
Aether offered for (w/n) to join him on some adventures to just take his mind off of things and he, surprisingly, agreed. But it wasn't the same. Both Paimon and Aether noticed the lack of energy.
He was also constantly in his own mind. Most conversations happened between Aether and Paimon because (w/n) would just mentally check out and not even be paying attention. He didn't break down and cry physically but emotionally, he was a wreck. But it was so bad, he didn't know what to do. Cry, scream, try and take over the world, he didn't know.
What he did know was that the world didn't feel right without you.
Tumblr media
☆ Caelus
You lived on the Astral Express with him and the others. Everyone thought you were the cutest couple and everywhere you went, you two received the same compliments. So, he definitely fell apart a little when you just up and ended the relationship.
The worst part was that he couldn't have time away from you. Not in the mean sense, but if you two were breaking up, he needed (for his own mental health) not to see you every single day. But... that wasn't possible.
It was extremely awkward for everyone on board. Welt and Himeko tried their best to keep things normal, the conductor did their best to keep conversations going, and Dan Heng just didn't bother coming out of his room. Caelus took a page from Dan Heng's books and just locked himself away for like two weeks.
When it was finally time for him to come out, he took time off of the express, choosing to go visit some old friends to regain some of that normalcy. Jarilo VI was where he spent most of his time as he hadn't been there in a while. He stayed there without the others for maybe two or so weeks, finding ample time to spend with Natasha, Seele, Bronya, Serval, and Gepard.
While he didn't openly state you two broke up, everyone knew. He did go and visit the Xianzhou which Dan Heng did join him in doing which was a good bonding experience for the two. It was when he finally opened up about losing you. According to Caelus, everything felt so wrong. Like a part of him was missing and that part was so close to his reach. But every single day, he had to pretend like it wasn't.
☆ Jing Yuan
He really didn't know what to do at the moment. He kinda stopped paying attention after you said you wanted to end the relationship. He tried to convince you otherwise, saying that breaking up wouldn't give him the chance to fix it but you were pretty adamant. He couldn't just say no... so he said ok and you were gone.
He tried to act normal. He did his job normally for the first day and that's when it all started to fall apart. The second he had time alone, it just hit him so painfully. You thought him losing his old friends was painful? This was a whole new level.
The second day, he couldn't really perform his duties as well and just handed them off to the first person he saw. Yanqing was most worried and desperately tried to get anyone's help because he didn't know what to do. It led him straight to the Astral Express and unsurprisingly, no one knew what to do.
Jing Yuan didn't even want help, honestly. He'd been hurting for years carrying the memories he did, so what was one more painful one? Maybe it was some sort of divine justice? Jing Yuan wasn't the most upstanding man, right? So he probably deserved this. What right did he have to just go and fix it?
Caelus did end up finding him out and about once, having the chance to share tea with Jing Yuan. The general explained he didn't know how to fix anything anymore. While it wasn't healthy to live life this way, it was his punishment probably. Caelus' concern led him to ask that burning question: why?
"I should've done better. Treated them better... maybe then... I'd still have them."
☆ Aventurine
He almost didn't register the words that came out of your mouth. You... break up with him? You were talking, explaining why, but he couldn't really follow. It's like his brain just stopped working and all he could think was 'this wasn't supposed to happen'.
At the end of it, you were gone and he was alone. Aventurine expected betrayal in his line of work, but he never expected it from you. Your "deal" with him was special. It wasn't like his normal deals. It was one that you two emerged equally victorious and no one lost anything. Right?
Even Ratio had pity for him. Aventurine waltzed around as if nothing happened but there was such a dramatic shift in his personality. He said the same things he always did, he acted as if he always did, but there was a distinct bitterness when he spoke of being let down.
When he told people to make use of him, there was a hint of resentment laced in his words. While he claimed he expected to be exploited at some point, there was still a twinge of fear. It never hurt before but for some reason, it scared him now.
He did briefly open up to Ratio, who was just berating him as usual, and it even took him by surprise. Aventurine didn't say much, but he did say how he figured everyone in the world to want to set him on fire for one reason or another. He just didn't expect it would be you to light the flame. Veritas called him an idiot and said you had every right to leave, which Aventurine wholeheartedly agreed with.
You did have every right to leave. You just didn't have the right to take whatever made him feel normal.

Bingyuan Soulmate au 2
Part 1
For as long as Luo Binghe can remember, dark shapes would imprint themselves onto his skin accompanied with foreign feelings. The feelings were always benign and soft. Eventually Luo Binghe knew them to be words, but he was illiterate and unable to read what they said. He could recognize fragments based on what little his mother could teach him.
He asked his mother about the words but she couldn’t see them. She believed him that they were there and told him that maybe if he could become a cultivator he could find out what it was. Cultivators knew all manner of secret and esoteric things that mortals didn’t, and maybe this was a sign he was destined to be one.
Luo Binghe was happy about that, and he traced the sifting words reverently, feeling out their shapes and reveling in the feelings they brought. The feelings were so warm and gentle, they brought him even greater comfort after his mother died and he was alone on the streets. Each morning, and sometimes other parts of the day, he would feel a message arrive with a caring greeting. He didn’t know what the words said, but he knew they were for him.
Getting chosen for Qing Jing Peak was a blessing. Surely on the Peak of Scholars he would find the answers he seeked about these words. Luo Binghe probably should have asked someone about it, but some part of him felt possessive over it. These words belonged to him and him alone. He didn’t want anybody to know about them. If they knew they might be able to take it away, Luo Binghe never wanted to lose the daily message.
Everybody hated him on Qing Jing Peak, his Shizun poured tea on him and the Shixiong’s bullied him, but each morning without fail, a message would arrive on his wrist. Luo Binghe worked tirelessly on his literacy, spending every free moment learning how to read and write. He wanted to know what was being said to him.
Each night, he snuck into the library to read the materials available for new coming illiterate disciples. As the scholarly peak, there was a dedicated selection towards priming new disciples to the standards of Qing Jing Peak. Luo Binghe didn’t have time to view then during the day because of his endless chores, but he was determined to learn, even if it meant going during the night.
Nobody was allowed to go during the night, but Luo Binghe had carefully tested it and found out that there was nothing to alert anyone. So as long as he was careful to make sure everything looked undisturbed, he could learn from the materials. It meant he got little sleep, but Luo Binghe was nothing if not determined. Once he set his mind to something, he would strive doggedly to succeed.
Slowly he began to be able to read the messages, recognizing several characters even if he couldn’t read the whole thing quite yet. He could see words like “happy”, “love”, “good”, “well”, “today”, and “I” appear with the most frequency. It was the final thing that confirmed to him his theory that it was someone talking to him. Perhaps a spirit?
It didn’t seem like a malevolent force, but he’s learned that anything being attached to a person is often a bad thing. They often drained qi or lifeforce, and were parasitic in nature. He would have to remain on guard with these mysterious words and whoever they were connected to.
He waited a few more months until he could read more of what was said than he was unable to read. The message came in that morning as it always did. Luo Binghe had filched an old and worn calligraphy brush along with a near empty pot of ink that he stowed away in preparation.
“I hope you have a wonderful day that brings you joy.” it read. The message was intimate and informal, paired with genuine well wishes.
“Who are you?” Luo Binghe wrote carefully. He struggled with writing more than reading, but he was making progress to improve in both areas as quickly as he could.
The reply came quickly, the feeling of it taking shape was oddly scratchy and the size of the lettering was a uniform thickness that appeared with a drag unlike a brustip. Luo Binghe had never wondered about the writing implement that was being used up until he could now compare it to his own writing and experience how they differed.
“I’m your soulmate! It’s nice to meet you.” appeared along with a bubbly feeling of anticipation.
Soulmate?
Luo Binghe’s eyes widened in disbelief. He had heard tales of soulmates before, of individuals connected by red strings of fate tied around their fingers. But those strings were invisible and soulmates weren’t able to communicate by writing.
“Soulmate? This one has never heard of words on skin happening with soulmates." Luo Binghe wrote, trying not to get his hopes up. This could be a spirit or demon trying to trick him.
“How old are you? I’m surprised you haven’t heard of soulmates, everyone has one. Only soulmates can see each other’s words, but everybody gets them. Unless their soulmate isn’t born or has died.” came the words with a sense of absolute certainty and curiosity. It felt like truth. Luo Binghe didn’t know that truth was an emotion that could be felt.
Luo Binghe thought about it. The way that this writing had been with him for as long as he could remember, even before he knew what it meant. The shifting shapes and frequent emotions that came with the words. The feelings attached to the words that he could feel every time he touched the strokes.
It had never harmed him, it was simply faithful and earnest companionship. Even when his mother died, his… soulmate… was always there. Writing to him little well wishes that were sincerely meant.
Luo Binghe didn’t think that this form of soulmates was what humans experienced. Ning Yingying would have already told him if she had someone writing to her, and he would have seen more people looking at their skin more. His A-Niang hadn’t known what he was talking about either.
However, humans weren't the only race of sentient beings. Maybe there was something else that all had soulmates. And maybe those soulmates could sometimes be humans. Maybe just maybe, this was them sending messages across their string.
“This one is 10.” Luo Binghe wrote, biting his lip. His 11th birthday was in a few weeks, but for now he was 10.
“I’m 15, and I’ll help you with anything you need. Let me know anything you struggle with learning and I’ll try to help you.” came the reply, earnest and determined. Luo Binghe was upset to see the earlier words fade away, leaving empty gaps between his own brushstrokes.
“Really?” Luo Binghe asked, losing the battle against fighting off his hope. It was a doomed endeavor from the start. Luo Binghe wanted nothing more than someone who cared and…
“Yuan-ge will help you with anything. I promise.” came the writing, filled with firm conviction and gentle affection.
“Yuan-ge?” Luo Binghe questioned, overflowing with giddy happiness and anticipation.
His soulmate. His. His Yuan-ge. His A-Yuan.
“My name is Shen Yuan,” Yuan-ge wrote, and Luo Binghe drank it in greedily. He traced the characters over and over, wishing he could carve them into his skin so they would never leave. He felt almost dizzy with elation when he remembered the way that his Yuan-ge has never once left him. Yuan-ge has written to him everyday, maybe even since he was born. Luo Binghe may have been abandoned in a river during the coldest night, but maybe, even then, on his wrist there had been words of love.
His hands shook as he collected himself, wanting to respond to his Yuan-ge.
“This one is Luo Binghe.” he wrote once his hands were steady. His name was the first words he knew, and they were one of the greatest gifts given to him by his A-Niang. Luo Binghe stroked his pendant, missing her dearly. He wished he could have told her about Yuan-ge.
“Bing-er, I’m happy to finally meet you.” Yuan-ge said, his words were so saturated in pure warmth that it made tears form in Luo Binghe’s eyes. It felt like A-Niang’s hugs after she placed a kiss on the crown of his head and enveloped him into her arms. It felt like love.
At that moment he wished nothing more desperately than to see his Yuan-ge. He wanted to find the one at the end of his string, even if he had to traverse the realms to find him. One day, Luo Binghe promised himself.
One day he would find his Yuan-ge.
Luo Binghe would become the best cultivator ever so that he could track his Yuan-ge down. Even if it took his whole life, he would find his soulmate. Shen Yuan.
With a smile, Luo Binghe began writing on his leg. He’d have to remember to find a rag to wipe away the ink tomorrow. There was probably something dirty and stained in the storehouse that nobody would notice missing.
He’d also have to have some inks mixed and prepared carefully. Normally the little pots were used for painting pigments that way someone could paint outdoors, but Binghe found a discarded one and mixed together some ink to use. The ink was no good for calligraphy, too watery and not pigmented enough for bold strokes, but it wrote upon his skin well enough.
With a head full of forming plans and a heart filled with warmth and elation, Luo Binghe talked with his Yuan-ge for another sichen before his soulmate said he had to sleep.
“Good night, Bing-er.” Yuan-ge said, words filled with gentle care.
Luo Binghe beamed, excited to talk to Yuan-ge tomorrow, and the day after, and everyday for the rest of his life.
“Good night, Yuan-ge.”

“I’M ADDICTED TO YOUR LOVE, that’s the issue.”
itadori yuji x fem!reader.
summary: in which, itadori never gets shy, not unless he’s around you.
warnings: swearing, teasing (from the first and second years), fluff! reader and itadori are already in a relationship but it’s fairly new. this is rlly short!!!
-
itadori was a loud, energetic, and bubbly person. everybody had only ever seen him being loud, they never saw him acting shy, genuinely sad, or quiet (unless something serious had happened).
so, today would be the first time they would see him act differently. aka, be around you.
itadori, megumi, and nobara along with the second years all sat on the grass as they decided to have a little picnic for lunch.
everyone chattered and made conversation about random things that were irrelevant in itadori’s opinion. you were the only thing he was paying attention to.
he currently sat in between you and megumi. you were having an interesting conversation with panda but itadori was not focusing on that.
he was focusing on the soft thrum of your fingers against his hand as you fiddled with his fingers. your hand occasionally slipping when you moved but immediately finding its place right back into his hand a second later.
his cheeks were flushed at the small gesture, your relationship was fairly new, of course he was going to be flustered by small things like holding your hand!
“itadori.” megumi mumbled, his head tilted as he stared at the boy who looked like he was on cloud nine.
“y-yeah?” itadori shook his thoughts away and turned to the boy beside him who was smiling slightly at how flustered he looked.
“you good?”
“me?! what! of course i’m good, that’s such a weird question to ask fushiguro.” itadori awkwardly laughed, earning the attention of the rest of the group (including you as you looked at your sweating boyfriend in concern).
“itadori, you’re sweating.” nobara looked at him in confusion, it wasn’t even hot outside!
itadori turned to look at you as you looked at him in concern and holy shit, he wished he didn’t.
the breeze made your hair slightly sway as you smiled at itadori, your eyes shining as the sun hit them. you looked perfect, his dream girl. he was in shock that he managed to get a girlfriend like you, a perfect one.
“holy fuck-” itadori gasped and maki immediately went to tease him as she realized why he was acting like this.
“he’s nervous because of y/n!” she yelped, letting out a string of laughter as nobara did the same.
“salmon.” inumaki said, his eyes almost closed shut because of how hard he was laughing.
“hey! stop, it’s hot outside.” itadori nervously tried to defend himself, his voice wavering when he felt you move closer to him to the point your hips were touching.
his face immediately flushed and even megumi began laughing at him. itadori covered his face in defeat and embarrassment that he was acting like this in public. but, you just had that effect on him! he can’t help it.
“yuji.” your soft voice caught his attention over the loud laughter around him and teasing comments.
“huh?” itadori’s voice wavered once more as he made eye contact with you.
“you’re cute when you’re shy.”
and there we go, yuji itadori has died. his face immediately goes beet red and he covers it with his hands as you laugh and lean into his side, wrapping an arm around his back as he placed one behind you.
he was so obsessed with you, there was not doubt. yet, he doesn’t like he’ll ever be able to stop being shy around you.
-
a/n: hope you enjoyed! i’m posting a sukuna work after this that is also just a tester to see how i like writing his character and things i have to improve on!

hi!! would you consider writing a part 2 of the james beaufort one shot that you wrote? absolutely loved it!!
The best friend - James Beaufort (2)
Tumblr media
Click here to read part 1
Main characters: James Beaufort x reader Genre: fanfiction, fluff, TV show  Word count: 2567
Summary: Y/N invited James and his sister Lydia for a day out at the water. Will this be the moment for a lot of realisation?
It was around 22:00h when Y/N stopped the car in the driveway and glanced at James. “Shall I wait here, or do I have to park over there?” She pointed at the free spot behind Percy’s car, next to the wall of his house.
“You can wait,” James replied, his tone neutral.
She nodded and put the car in park, setting the handbrake. As James unbuckled his seatbelt and opened the door, he hesitated. “Actually…” He turned to her. “I think it’s weird if you stay here. But then you will have to…” He pressed his lips into a thin line.
“I’ll park the car,” Y/N responded. James got out, and Y/N parked behind Percy’s car. She then stepped out, swiftly putting her hair up with a clip and leaving a few strands to frame her face. Opening the trunk, she swapped her trainers for heels. Locking the car, she walked over to James. “How do I look?”
James scanned his best friend from head to toe. The transformation from casual to chic business attire was seamless. A smile spread across his face. “Like a businesswoman,” he said.
“Perfect.” Her heels clinked on the concrete as they walked together toward the front door.
“How…” He glanced at her, curiosity piqued. “How did you know about the heels? The preparation?”
“Women’s secret,” she teased. “It’s my mum’s car. She always has an extra pair of heels in the trunk. And by wearing the most comfortable trousers that look chic and classy. Always be prepared, James.” The front door opened just as she finished speaking. “You never know what to expect.”
James looked impressed and stuck out his arm, signing she could enter the house first.
“Miss Y/L/N,” one of the maids said. “Mister Beaufort.”
“Good evening,” James said formally.
Y/N always noticed how James’ demeanour changed when he was at his own house. Here, he was quieter, his smiles less frequent, and his energy felt... different. The lively, carefree James she knew so well seemed to retreat, replaced by a more reserved version of himself. If she was honest, James acted like an asshole when he was home.
“Hello,” the cheery voice of Y/N said.
As they walked through the grand foyer, Y/N couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness for him. The house was magnificent, yet it seemed to cast a shadow over James' vibrant personality. It was his home, and she respected and accepted that.
When they reached the living room, it almost seemed like James’ parents were expecting them. Mr. and Mrs. Beaufort stood beside each other, ready to greet the two young adults. “Good evening, James. Y/N,” Mr Beaufort said, nodding slightly in acknowledgement. Mrs Beaufort offered a polite smile, though it didn’t quite reach her eyes.
“Good evening, Mr and Mrs Beaufort,” Y/N replied, her voice respectful yet warm.
“Whence the honour to see you here so late?” Mr Beaufort asked Y/N.
“Lydia and I are invited for a sailing trip with Y/N’s family,” James answered for Y/N. “So we are here to pick up Lydia.”
Mrs Beaufort nodded, her smile turning more genuine. Despite a pang of jealousy over the warmth and inviting nature of Y/N’s family, she was glad her children could receive that kind of respect and hospitality from them.
“That sounds delightful,” Mrs. Beaufort said. “Lydia will be pleased.”
“I will go get my bag and pick up Lydia,” James excused himself, touching Y/N’s lower back briefly.
As soon as James was out of sight, Y/N was immediately offered a drink. Recognising it as an invitation to engage in conversation, she asked for a glass of water and sat on the sofa. It didn’t take long for Mr. Beaufort to seize the opportunity to inquire about her parents’ business, probing for information and potential investment opportunities. Y/N barely knew anything about James’ family, but she knew everything about their business. And probably vice versa. Y/N’s entire personality changed from herself to a businesswoman. She knew how to navigate these conversations carefully, revealing enough to satisfy curiosity but not too much to compromise her family’s privacy. She skillfully deflects any attempts to delve too deeply into sensitive details. She was polite and engaging yet maintained a firm boundary around the specifics of her parents’ business strategies.
After a few more minutes, James returned with his bag and Lydia behind him. When Lydia saw Y/N, she cheerfully smiled.
“It was delightful catching up with you, Mr. and Mrs. Beaufort,” Y/N politely smiled and got up. “Good evening,” she said goodbye to James's parents.
As Y/N and Lydia made their way to Y/N’s car, Mr. Beaufort stopped James, sharing some possible investment or collaboration strategies with Y/N’s family. James listened politely, nodding along, but he knew he had no intention of pursuing these discussions. When he could finally excuse himself, he stepped outside to find Y/N reversing the car to make getting in easier. He never expected to think this, but he could kiss her on the spot. Y/N was thoughtful about so many things, but it made him feel weak. As he approached the car, he noticed Lydia already comfortably settled in the back seat, chatting animatedly with Y/N. James opened the passenger door and slid in, seeing how Y/N had already turned back into herself.
“Ready to go?” Y/N asked.
“Absolutely,” James replied, feeling a sense of relief as they drove away from the formal atmosphere of his home.
“Y/N,” Lydia said. Y/N had a quick glance at her in the mirror. “Have you ever considered to be a spin doctor? Or a spokeswoman? Because the way you communicate… Not to brag about myself, I know things about being a spokesperson, but you are a natural talent.” She smiled. “Oh, and thanks for the invite!”
Y/N bit her lip; she had never received a compliment like this.
“You talk so easily,” James added. “And you always know what to say when improvising.”
“Oh, stop it,” Y/N mumbled and entered the main road. “Thanks, I guess.” She licked her lips. “But yeah, I will reconsider it,’ she mumbled, driving back towards her house.
* * *
The sun was high in the sky as James, Lydia, Y/N and her family spent the day on the boat, anchored in a bay the following day. They weren’t the only ones who thought spending some time on the waters was a good idea: it felt like the entire country (well, more like the region) was present. But that didn’t stop anyone from enjoying the day. The gentle rocking of the boat and the sounds of the sea created a perfect backdrop for a day of relaxation and fun.
Lunch was served an hour ago. It was more like a picnic, but it was delicious. Y/N had been reading a book, and James was taking a nap in the sun. The others were swimming, playing board games, reading, or simply enjoying the tranquility.
James woke up from his nap and felt the sun burn on his skin. He sat up and stretched his arms. His eyes scanned the surroundings and a satisfied smile came on his lips. Then his eyes fell on Y/N, who was in her own world while reading. “Y/N/N,” he softly said.
She looked away from her book, slightly distracted. “Hmm, ja?”
“Shall we go for a swim?”
“Scared to go alone?” A playful smile came on her face.
“Always.”
She smirked. “Give me a minute, I’ve one page left.”
“Okay,” he said and got up, walking to the cabin to get a cold water bottle. The boat wasn’t huge, but big enough to have every facility on it to serve an entire family. James returned to find Y/N setting her book aside. He handed over the bottle of water. “Stay hydrated.”
She thankfully smiled and took a huge sip. “Much needed, though,” she replied. She threw the bottle on the sofa. “Ready?”
“Say no more.”
They walked to the edge of the boat, the sun reflecting off the water’s surface. Their eyes both squinted because of the bright reflection. James looked at Y/N; she was inspecting the water, doubting whether she should jump into it. A grin covered his face, and without hesitation, he jumped into the water in front of her.
Y/N gasped as the splash hit her, then laughed, shaking her head.
James widely smiled and brushed his hair out of his face. “Where are you waiting for?”
She rolled her eyes but smiled, taking a deep breath before diving in after him. The cool water was refreshing, and she quickly surfaced, shaking her head to remove the water droplets. “Oef,” she breathed. “My skin was so warm that the water feels so fucking cold.”
A laugh escaped his lips. “Don’t be such a wimp,” he said and splashed some water towards her direction.
“Ha-ha,” she retorted, playfully splashing him back.”
They began to float around. Sometimes, they point at another boat in the distance and talk about it or laugh about a memory.
“So… Do you know what you want to do after school?” Y/N asked the forbidden question.
James stared in the distance, trying to think of an answer to give. Oxford… That was on his plan. Correction: on his parents’ planning. “Oxford.”
“To do what?” Y/N raised her eyebrows.
He sighed. “Can we talk about this another time? This is not the time.”
“Sure…” Y/N rubbed her face. “I’m just curious and worried.”
“Why?”
“Because.”
“You didn’t like it when I asked you the same question.”
“Because I didn’t know what I wanted.”
James turned to look at her. Despite the severe nature of their conversation, he couldn’t help but notice how beautiful she looked in the afternoon light. Her cheeks had a sun-kissed glow, and with her hair pulled back, her features were more defined. There was a caring look in her eyes, one that James had always had a weakness for. “I don’t know what I want either.”
“I thought you had a plan,” she said surprisingly.
“Oxford, spokesperson for Young Beaufort, other projects and eventually take over the business,” he listed off, a hint of frustration in his voice “The plan that was made before I was even born. So no, I don’t know what I want because it’s not my plan.”
Y/N knew about it. Lydia had the same kind of path planned out for her. But somewhere, she had always hoped James and Lydia would pick their own path. She could sense the conflict within him, torn between the expectations placed upon him and his own desires.
“And I can’t just take a gap year because my parents are less accommodating than yours. I have to live that perfect life, I can’t just try things and hope they work out. My parents have high expectations from me and the last thing that they will do is accept a gap year where I can explore my passion,” he snapped.
She pressed her lips into a thin line and looked down. “I know,” she said softly, her voice laced with empathy. “But sometimes, you must carve out your own path, despite what others may expect of you. It’s not easy, but it’s worth fighting for your own happiness.”
“Y/N, I know you want the best for me but I can’t make it true, okay? I know you try to cheer me up or give me some help, but I can’t. I appreciate it, but it’s my life,” he shot back. “And don’t take it personally; it’s something I have to deal with myself.”
“I understand,” she softly said, her heart aching for him. And then her heart dropped at the most wrong moment; she felt something brush against her leg. A loud gasp left Y/N’s mouth, and she reached for James. “Ew, ew, ew,” she panicked and clamped her legs around his waist, wrapping her arms around his neck. “I felt something! There’s something here!”
James was taken aback by Y/N's sudden panic, his mind still processing their conversation. But when he felt her grip tighten around him, he quickly snapped out of it, his instincts kicking in. He wrapped his arms around her protectively, scanning the water around them for any sign of danger.
“What? What is it?” he asked urgently, his voice laced with concern as he searched for the source of her distress.
“I-I don’t know,” Y/N stammered, her heart racing as she clung to him tightly. “I just felt something brush against my leg, and it freaked me out.”
James glanced around, his eyes narrowed as he tried to spot any movement in the water. “Stay calm,” he said reassuringly, though his own heart was pounding in his chest. Then he saw something in the water; just a plant. A snort left his mouth. “It’s a plant, Y/N,” he said and reached for it.
“No, I swear, it was not.”
“Look,” he said and held up the plant. A laugh rolled over his lips. “Just a plant.”
Y/N scanned the plant. “No, it was something else.” Her lips parted. “Don’t laugh,” she mocked and softly slapped his chest. His laughter filled her ears.
His laughter grew louder, the tension from their earlier conversation dissipating as they shared a lighthearted moment. "Alright, alright," he conceded, still grinning. "But I promise you, there's nothing to worry about. Just a harmless sea plant.” He held her close, his arm around her waist and her body pressed against his. With his other arm, he made movements to stay above the water. “Let’s get back to the boat,” he grinned. “But you have to swim yourself. I will stay close, okay?”
She nodded and slowly let go of him, still staying close to him, almost afraid to move. James grabbed her hand and waved their fingers together.
As they swam back towards the boat, Y/N couldn't shake the feeling of James's hand in hers, the warmth of his touch sending ripples of electricity through her veins. She stole glances at him as they moved through the water; His hair, damp from the water, fell slightly tousled across his forehead, accentuating the soft curve of his jawline. The sunlight danced across his skin, highlighting the subtle freckles dusted across his face.
With each stroke, Y/N felt herself drawn closer to James, the distance between them narrowing until they were side by side, their fingers intertwined as they moved through the water together. And at that moment, surrounded by the vast expanse of the sea and the boundless sky above, Y/N felt a sense of peace wash over her—a feeling of belonging that she had never experienced before.
When they reached the boat's ladder, James turned to look at her, his eyes soft and gentle as he helped her climb aboard. “Are you okay? Alive? Do you still have all your limbs?”
Her face straightened. “Shut up.”
He widely smiled. “See, nothing to be afraid of.”

You knew that Steve and Bucky weren't as close as they used to be, but seeing it up close felt even more awkward. Bucky, on the other hand, didn't seem stressed despite his mother being sent to jail.
As you watched Bucky load your groceries into your car, you asked, “I don't feel any bromance between you and Steve anymore.”
Bucky shrugged, not missing a beat as he placed another bag in the trunk. “Well… I won’t deny it. Ever since we all went our separate ways, while Steve stayed, everything just became different.”
“I did offer him a job at the resorts, but he declined.” His voice held a note of regret. “It’s sad that we’re not close anymore.”
You watched him for a moment, feeling a pang of something you couldn't quite identify. You never had someone who used to be close to you turn into a stranger. The closest person you had was Ransom. He betrayed you once but still kept in contact. Then there was Harlan, the only older person who was like a grandfather figure to you. But he's gone now.
“You're a good friend,” you said softly.
Bucky’s eyes widened in surprise. “Did… Did you just give me a compliment?”
“No.” You quickly got into your car, hoping to hide the faint smile on your face.
He chuckled and hummed, “Yes, you did.”
As you closed the car door, he knocked on the window. You rolled it down a little. “What?”
“I know I'm asking a lot, but could you help out at the resort again?” Bucky’s voice was earnest, almost pleading.
You raised an eyebrow. The idea of going back to the place that kicked you out felt just as wrong as when you got fired from Drysdale. Memories of the humiliation and hurt still stung.
Bucky seemed to sense your hesitation. “I will make sure the environment is different this time.”
That got your attention. “How?”
“You'll see it tomorrow.” He smirked a hint of mischief in his eyes, and then turned to leave. You watched him walk away, a mix of curiosity and skepticism swirling in your mind.
🏨🏨🏨🏨🏨
The next morning, you woke up with uncertain feelings. Should you go back? But you decided to give it a try.
When you parked your car, you saw someone walking out the door carrying a box. It was Natasha.
You got out of the car and walked past her. Natasha glared at you, spitting out, “Bitch. Are you happy?”
You stopped and turned to face her, feeling a newfound confidence. “What did I do that made Bucky fire you? Tell me. All the evidence points to Lydia.”
Natasha flinched, taken aback by your directness. The old you would have been too afraid to talk back to her.
In truth, only Bucky knew the real reason she was fired. She had been receiving hush money from Lydia. The first time she caught Lydia red-handed, stealing money from the vault and stuffing it into her designer bag, she was paid off to keep quiet.
Her front desk salary couldn't buy her designer bags and shoes with cash. The money from Lydia was the reason she could afford them. But no matter what she had, it was nothing compared to what you possessed.
“Tsk.” She clicked her tongue and walked away.
You sighed. She hadn't changed. She always lashed out at you.
“Did she bother you?” Bucky's voice broke through your thoughts.
“No. She just blamed me,” you replied, shaking your head.
“I'm sorry,” he said, looking genuinely apologetic.
“I'm used to it. She hasn't changed at all,” then turned and walked into the building.
You started working again. You felt more relaxed, perhaps because Lydia and Natasha were no longer there to cast their shadows.
‘Knock, knock.’
You lifted your head and saw Jake standing at the door.
“You're back,” he said, stepping inside.
“Yeah,” you replied, continuing your work.
He took a seat in front of you. “Me and the other employees are grateful to you.”
“Why?” you asked, looking up.
“Because those women are gone,” Jake said.
Your pen stopped moving. “Was it that bad?”
Jake shrugged his shoulders. “Well, we kinda knew. But we couldn't do anything. Especially me. This place was the only one that gave me a job after what happened.”
You leaned forward, curious. “Can I ask what happened to you? Someone as smart as you making a mistake like that doesn’t seem right.”
He sighed, leaning back in his chair. “People won’t believe me when I tell them, but I guess you could understand it.”
“Me?” You raised an eyebrow.
He nodded. “Just like you, I was framed for something I didn’t do.”
Before Jake came back, he had a good job at an IT security company. But he was blinded by money when he got an offer to make a gambling website.
“Wait… what about the rumor you hacked the Department of Defense’s security?” you asked, intrigued.
Jake leaned in, lowering his voice. “That’s… well, off the record. I can’t tell you about that. But it wasn’t the reason I got arrested.”
The reason he got arrested was someone tipped off the authorities that he was the person who made the illegal gambling website. Jake did, but he was also accused of receiving $30 million from money laundering that was used on the site.
“Wow,” you said, shaking your head. “Do you know who asked you?”
He shrugged his shoulders, scratching his head. “It's my own fault too. I got the request from the dark web. It was difficult to prove to the judge, and I didn’t have the money to pay for a good lawyer.”
“How did you get released?” you asked, still in disbelief.
“I got a plea deal. I knew some secrets. Do you want to know?” Jake winked at you.
You scoffed, “No thank you,” and went back to work.
Jake chuckled, leaning back in his chair. “But seriously, thanks for what you did here. It means a lot to all of us.”
You nodded, acknowledging his gratitude, but focused on your work.
🏠🏠🏠🏠🏠
You went back home, only to see the last person you wanted to see walking out of your house—the mayor.
You stayed in your car until he left, then got out and headed inside.
When you entered the house, you saw Tom sitting on a chair with his head resting on his hand. He looked stressed and pale.
You rushed to him and touched his shoulder. “Father?”
Tom flinched, then looked up at your face. He patted your arm. “Y/N.”
“Yes?” you asked, your voice filled with concern.
“Could you stop whatever you're doing right now?” he said, his voice trembling.
Seeing how stressed and scared your father was, you knew it could only mean one thing—the mayor had given him a warning.
“Did he threaten you?” you asked, your eyes searching his face.
Tom shook his head. “No, he just gave me some advice. Lydia has all the connections. I don’t want you to get hurt.”
Bullshit. It wasn’t advice. It was clear that Lydia and the mayor were partners in crime.
“I'll listen to you,” you said, patting his shoulder reassuringly.
Tom sighed in relief and nodded, glad you didn’t object. “I'm going to make some tea. Do you want some?”
Before you could answer, your phone vibrated. It was Steve. “I’m going to take this,” you said, stepping away.
You moved to another room. “Hey.”
Steve’s voice came through the line. “Are you busy right now?”
“No. What’s up?”
“I just wanted to tell you that I’ve arrived at the art gallery,” Steve said.
“That’s great!” you replied, a smile spreading across your face.
“Y/N?” he continued, sounding a bit uncertain.
“Hmm?” you prompted.
“I feel so small surrounded by these skyscrapers,” he admitted.
You remembered feeling the same way when you first arrived in the city.
“But it gives big opportunities,” Steve added, a note of hope in his voice.
You smiled, feeling a bit lighter. At least there was some good news. “Stay optimistic like that, and you’ll get it, Steve.”
🏠🏠🏠🏠🏠
In a big house, a woman lay on the couch, casually flipping through a magazine. An ankle bracelet adorned her right ankle—it was Lydia.
Bucky came home and walked into the living room, his footsteps echoing in the spacious room.
The moment she saw him, her expression twisted with anger. She hurled the magazine toward him, but he caught it effortlessly.
“You're just like him,” she spat, her voice dripping with bitterness.

Hihi! I’m in an angsty mood, so if it’s no bother would you mind writing falsely suspected traitor!reader (gn) with Gaz, ghost, soap, velikan, roach, Keegan and Krueger (I’m sorry, I don’t know your character limit, it’s completely up to you how many and which of them you want to write for!!) but they only find out reader is innocent after they already tortured reader?
Reader does forgive them but is very much traumatised, believing it’s something they did in order to bring suspicion to themselves, so reader starts to act differently. More meek and withdrawn, always keeping their head down and voice quiet, flinches and has low self esteem, …etc
Of course no pressure to write this at all!! And I’m sorry if any of the phrasing is weird, English is not my first language 😅
Hope you have a great day/evening!
a/n: I’m pretty sure I have a request just like this in my inbox and drafts somewhere lol (my drafts from old old requests are still gathering dust I’m so so so sorry to the people who requested btw)
Tumblr media
Gaz:
-heart shattered with the most painful look on his face when he found out you didn’t lie to him. That you were innocent.. that when he was doing everything to pull info out of you and treating you like scum, that your answers of ‘I’m not lying!’ And pleas were all.. real
-went to you the second he could, shivering in self hatred especially when he saw the wounds he had caused on your body
-once you finally got back to good terms, he could see all the damage he did and it hurt him so much. He wanted YOU back, the loud, funny, unworried you… he didn’t know what to do
soap:
-held you so close for so long as soon as he figured out you didn’t lie to him. Or the team.
-tried everything and I mean EVERYTHING to try to get you back to how you were before it all
-every time you flinch or whisper, he can feel his guilt stabbing him though the heart, he can just imagine how you must feel.. and to think he could have helped.
-If he wasn’t so close to the rest of the team, he probably would have yelled at all of 141 for even assuming you were the traitor
ghost:
-feels so utterly guilty, like a wound was given to himself rather then you
-hates the fact he genuinely thought you would ever do that to him
-tried to distance himself from you now that you were back… he was just so guilty
-what if he hurt you again? What if you were still mad? What if you hated him now? He just couldn’t face it.
-when he found out you forgave him, an invisible weight was lifted off of him. But as he saw you be so quiet, he could feel his hands sake and his body almost collapse. He did this. He hurt his lover. He could never trust himself with you like he used to again.
-was oh so careful with you since then.. but could never shake the guilt
velikan:
-he HATED you when he thought you were a traitor. He had deleted every photo. Burnt every gift. Broke any shared thought. So finding out he had lost all of that hurt him so much he sat and cried for days, begging and pleading to anything that time could rewind and that he could have his memories and gifts back
-he tried so hard to make new ones with you to, he basically followed you like a lost puppy. But he knew even though you forgave him, he was damned to feel guilt every time you weren’t your same old self
-he missed his memories of you in photos and pages of his journals, he missed your bright smile and loud confidence, he missed all the things you changed from trauma he didn’t stop
-he hated himself for hating you when you were so innocent
keegan:
-he felt rage, rage at his teammates, rage at the captain who reported you for suspicious activity, and most of all, rage at himself for not protecting you like he always promised you he would
-couldn’t stand seeing you flinch, couldn’t stand not being able to reassure you that it would be okay and that he would protect you if it ever happened again
-because he knew his words of protection didn’t mean anything now. He had failed to protect you and even participated in harming you for something as simple as a claim…
kreuger:
-he thought that as soon as he started to fix things, you yourself would get fixed. But he was so wrong
-tried anything he could think of to make you feel safe to be yourself again, and whenever it didn’t work he’d secretly shed a tear
-it was like seeing his lovers ghost.. you weren’t you anymore, and it shattered him so much that he couldn’t fix it
-he could fix his guns, he could clean up your wounds, he could tell you that it was okay to be yourself again, he could fix the broken mirrors in his room, but he couldn’t fix you. He couldn’t get you back the way he remembered you, and he knew no matter how many years of therapy kortac paid for, it still wouldn’t fix you perfectly…

you are on: incubation. (part one) a/n:
hello!! my name is sozila, and this is my first ever work on tumblr/ao3 so bear with me if my writing seems a little elementary :,) let me know what you think, esp if it's constructive feedback! i've been a huge fic reader since i was 11, if that's any solace <3 (i'm in my second year of college now lmao) this piece really just came to me because i craved older brother sukuna and breezed through every fic with him in it. also, i wanted to incorporate parts of my college experience and hence the allegory to infectious diseases, i promise i'll hash it out adequately soon haha <3 also to note: i'm aware this chapter is rather short, but i intend to make longer chapters as the story continues! until then, here's a little bit of what i have :) enjoy!
ao3 link here.
Tumblr media
incubation. (part one) you were 2 years into being best friends with yuuji itadori before you saw him. an idea of him was created in your head through a web of yuuji’s descriptions, megumi’s mild irritations. nobara’s hot-cold opinion that “he’s an insufferable asshole, but those tattoos do numbers on girls”. some part of you felt allured by the mystery of his identity, even though you knew exactly who he was. at least, as much as you could from the near-empty instagram account and pictures from yuuji’s childhood littering the apartment.
it was odd you didn’t meet until now, but university had other plans for you. it made sense though— as a pre-med student, you didn’t have much time to hang out or go to frat parties, as much as nobara complained about your lack of thrill for wilding out. you digressed, but promised as soon as you secured an internship you’d maybe allow a bottle of vodka on you, in the comfort of your shared apartment. yuuji and megumi never held your busy schedule against you; which you genuinely appreciated. you loved that whenever you did get to see them, things picked up right where you left off.
which is why you were surprised at the very least to be met with someone you knew yet were so unfamiliar with standing before you when you knocked on yuuji’s door.
“you one of yuu’s new leeches or what?”
your brows furrowed a little more at the jab on your character, but you utter nothing as you take in the fact ryomen itadori isn’t a mythical brother your best friend made up. he looks exactly like the lockscreen picture on yuuji’s phone, save for a couple new tattoos on his face and arms. his hair was a mix between a mean undercut and ivy league, sporting the same pink hue of his younger brother’s. a simple silver chain hung on his neck which drew you downwards to his chest. he was definitely built much bigger and wider than yuuji. coarse, and just.. raw. you register you’ve been staring at this man clad only in a wife pleaser and joggers for an inappropriately long time and clear your throat, straightening, holding your bag a little closer as if it was going to disappear with a glance of his sanguine eyes.
“you gonna stand there all day, or should i close the door on ya?”
his gruff voice now laced with irritation led you to match his demeanor. you give him a wry, plastered smile and push past him. he lets you, surprisingly.
“can’t really go in with you blocking the entire entryway, asshole.”
he doesn’t acknowledge the blatant insult and walks towards the kitchen. your nose catches it first- he was cooking something really good. suddenly, he yells over his shoulder while he stirs the pot.
“yuuji c’mon, i’m not babysitting for your ass!”
the thomp-thomp-thomps of yuuji’s footsteps follow with him hurrying down the stairs and he flashes a dorky smile to you. “sorry, sorry! you met my lovely best friend then, aniki?”
he grunts without turning around. you didn’t even consider this a conservation, but yuuji seemed unphased by his wet-blanket personality. guess older brotherhood looked like this. yuuji flits around the stove where he’s working to stick a finger in the pot and steal a taste, which sukuna smacked him upside the head for.
rubbing the back of head, yuuji then turns and faces you to give your arms a little squeeze. “megs is running a little late from swim team practice, but he’ll be here soon. ryo made dinner for us though!” he quips brightly.
with a whip of his head and a withering look, you deduced sukuna wasn’t aware of this information, but grumbled to himself. you made out a “motherfucker” and “freeloader” in his long curse.
you pull your happy-go-lucky friend a little out of earshot and bring him to your level to whisper harshly. “yuu, i don’t want to inconvenience your brother.. he already seems pissed i exist,” you murmur. your gaze returns to the giant man in the kitchen and something tickles in your chest. immediately he slaps your shoulder and chortles, as if you told him something outlandish. “don’t even worry! he acts like that all the time, he just doesn’t know you well enough yet.”
you weren’t sure you even wanted him to.
Tumblr media
it was 7:30 when you heard the ring of the doorbell and your head lifts from the snug placement you took on the couch. sukuna had already slipped away upstairs so yuuji answers this time, much to your dismay. you lament internally that megumi wouldn’t face the same frosty welcome as you did. you hear two voices instead of just the one you expected and crane over to see a certain red headed girl you knew. she beams upon noticing your peeking form. “you’re here early, miss i-have-no-time-for-my-beloved-friends,” quicker than you could react, she was already beelining to jump on you with a smothering hug.
you try to muster a clear response but get muffled by her puffy knit sweatshirt. “if you checked your phone you’d know i told you!” you push your computer out of reach so it wouldn’t be swept in the tornado that was nobara kugisaki.
megumi had already taken a seat on the rug beside yuuji, deep in conversation about winter finals. however, it became evident it was more megumi lecturing yuuji on course material and the latter looking more confused and stressed by the second.
you move nobara enough to clap your hands and catch their attention.
“if you guys utter the word ‘exams’ one more time, i swear will explode.”
nobara snorts above you and knocks on your head. “look who’s talking. is your memory shot to hell or do you not remember all the times you bring it up yourself?”
“she literally did this afternoon,” yuuji mumbles with a pout. you throw a decorative pillow at him.
“hey! don’t forget i literally made your study schedule for you. and even the studious want a little break,” you defend with a huff. nobara d’awws and squishes your cheeks. “my poor little baby! however did you survive.”
“you guys suck. i deserve nothing but love and affection.”
yuuji rolls his eyes and whines. “oh my goood, yes we love you and appreciate you, hugs kisses rainbows blah blah— i wanna watch a movie already!”
you giggle at his antics as nobara pushes off you, walking to the unabashedly large TV and starts filing through yuuji’s big movie bookshelf. “what are we feeling tonight? fast and furious, ladybird, jigsaw..”
after a couple minutes you all agree on midsommar, which you protested but lost in a 3 to 1 vote (democracy is a joke). you could never sleep properly after a good horror movie, hence you always watched them during the daytime. but because your friends were evil, namely nobara, you had to endure some at night and ended up sleepless and jumpy. “if you can’t sleep, just slip in with me tonight,” nobara counters with a dismissive wave. while you knew neither nobara nor her girlfriend, maki, would bat an eye because of their long friendship with you, you worried for your own well-being. nobara was a huge kicker in her sleep (she denies this profusely). too many times after a night out you’d wake up on the floor with bruises on your side while nobara dozed peacefully, starfish-ed on the bed. you sigh and accept your fate.
Tumblr media
the movie ends up being just as if not more unsettling than you expected. you knew nobara clocked out much earlier than you thought when you heard no reaction to the bear scene (never getting that image out of your brain, you fear). you stretch your neck to assess who’s out. beyond the dirty plates on the coffee table from the dinner sukuna “made” for you all, you can make out yuuji cradled into megumi’s chest, snoring lightly. the urchin haired boy didn’t stir much either, so you peel from nobara’s vice-like grip on you to throw a blanket over the two of them. out of the corner of your eye, you see yuuji cuddle into megumi a little more, a small smile on his dozing face. god, you eagerly await the day they could be honest about their feelings. you step back around quietly to adjust nobara on the couch into a more comfortable position.
to navigate out with a better light you fish your jeans for your phone but to your dismay, are met with empty pockets. it didn’t help that your nerves on high alert and the living room was lit only by the glow from the tv. something straight out of a horror movie. genuinely fuck my life. you frown as you crouch down to feel around underneath the couch. after a few minutes of helpless padding later, the task seemed fruitless and you began to retreat to yuuji’s room. nothing could prepare you to feel a big, cold hand palm your shoulder. you freeze, your spine going icy. is this how i’m going to die? swiveling faster than your mind could compute you almost let out a bloodcurdling shriek, only to be met with the same cold hand pressing your mouth shut.
“are you fuckin’ mental?”
sanguine eyes bore back into yours and you fight the urge to bite the hand pressing on you. the audacity of this guy was baffling, really.
you shove him off and glare pointedly.
“me? i’m mental? says the dick who decided to sneak up on someone and grab them like a fucking serial killer!”
you jab a finger on his chest, seething in a whisper. his chest, in reality, was much harder than you anticipated and your finger probably hurt more than the attack on him.
a step. he’s closer to you and now in possession of said finger.
“i lightly tapped you. the rest was damage control, sweetheart.”
“sweetheart?”
“i can’t call you that?”
“how about you don’t call me anything, ever? thanks.”
“makes sense that i can’t call you. got your phone, and all.”
your mouth drops a little. “what?” he snickers. “if you weren’t so busy trying to curse me into the next domain, you’d realize i’ve had your phone in my hand this whole time. fuckin’ idiot.”
lo and behold, your phone was nestled in his raised hand, looking much smaller than you remembered. or was it that his hand was just that large in comparison? how big was this guy, really? part of you wanted to stop everything and just ask him to hold different objects and compare how they perceived in his grasp. but reality struck and you recall this is the same guy who just scared the living daylights out of you.
you yank it out of his stupid mammoth hand, ripping his grasp on you in the process and take a step back. you were awfully close to one another upon closer inspection.
“not an idiot, by the way. 4.0 gpa doesn’t exactly scream stupid.”
“idiocy applies to everyone, sweetheart. regardless of how much you dick ride your textbooks.”
every word that left his mouth had a lilt to it. the laughter in his eyes, his head cocked to the side.. he was messing with you and relished it. that pissed you off. who the fuck was he to decide who you were? what you stood for? you had barely known this imaginary-but-actually-real brother for a couple hours, and here he was insulting and teasing you all in one gift-wrapped present. what gave him the confidence to be so insufferable? and better yet, what could you do to stomp it out?
“go to hell, sukuna.”
you were unwilling to stay in his irritating presence for a moment more. your face was stony and unrelenting, your foot tapping incessantly in impatience. you wanted to slap his face off, but thankfully for him, your best friends were in dreamland just a few feet away.
“goodnight, idiot.”
your feet padded angrily up the stairs and you could still feel those dark sanguine eyes boring into your skull and all over your body. you decided that imaginary or not, yuuji itadori's older brother was the most pompous asshole you've ever had the displeasure of meeting. you didn’t get hit with your skin radiating heat until you closed the door of yuujii’s bedroom behind you. question is, was it anger or arousal?
Tumblr media
... she never told me her name.
Tumblr media
omg light banter... guys i really love slowburn so sexy time isn't guaranteed soon :( once i've outlined it i'll add specific explicit warnings and maybe you'll get a glimpse of what i envision for you and sukuna aaaaa :) for tumblr, i'll have a navi/masterlist up in a little!
peace luv bathtub!!!

Oh, you watched Fiona and Cake, great!
I am curious, what were your thoughts about like Winter King or first opening? Or like about overall more mature stuff than in og adventure time
So now that I'm doing a huge rewatch of the OG Adventure Time, I will say I adore both in their own ways.
It was really cool seeing the more mature stuff in Fionna and Cake, sort of like the show 'grew up' with the audience, you know? And do NOT get me started on how much my heart was destroyed by Simons entire plight through.
See I never managed to finish the first show, mostly just got distracted, but on my rewatch I can tell I at least got through six seasons. I like how spaced out the original show is, and it makes the really sad shit with like the Ice King hit like a ton of bricks when it happens. It really feels like you're watching all these wacky people live their lives, and occasionally the horror of the Mushroom War reminds you of its effect, through Marceline, and the Ice King, and every character who was forced to live through it. I don't know, it's really nice!
Okay I'm gonna ramble so I'm putting a read more!
I was wondering if on a rewatch I'd get frustrated the way later seasons of Steven Universe made me get frustrated, but it never felt like that at all. It's just been... fun. It's just Finn and Jake on adventures, occasionally having to set down their fun and recognize the horror of things around them, and it's just. DAMN it's just done so well.
I just got to the episode where Finn meets Prismo and makes the wish, and accidentally ends up wielding the power of the crown, and all it did was break my heart. Like I was sitting there, and for a split second I was like 'wow that crown corrupted him really fast!' and then I remembered.... he was like 13 when he got the crown. He was still a child, and when Simon got the crown, he was what, in his 40s? He was just a kid, and couldn't possibly be able to handle or combat the crowns power. It just punched me in the gut.
So I very much enjoy how spaced out and silly the original Adventure Time is, because its such a unique world I love seeing more of it, and I feel like it makes the heavy scenes hit so much harder. With Fionna and Cake, I love how tight the story is and how structured things are. They're both SUCH good shows, with different ways of writing and different vibes and I adore them equally at this point.
ALSO THE WINTER KING, holy shit don't get me started, but I will rant about this mofo
Tumblr media
(These are keychain designs but I decided to put them together on a little canvas)
Firstly, I fucking LOVE the Winter King, and I'm really sad we didn't get more of him. I do wonder if the fact that Fionna's universe wasn't 'canon' during all the universe hopping, that if somehow the multiverse will reverse some things and 'repair' the damage. I'm not even saying that because I want to see the Winter King again, it just absolutely sounds like something that could happen in Adventure Time. Hell, look how they made Fionna and Cake just-- real! Thanks Prismo you're a cool guy.
But in terms of the Winter King as a character, and in terms of his universe? I want SO much more detail. Where is Finn, where is Jake? Marceline either left the Winter King or got killed, so I'm curious there too. The juxtaposition of genuine confidence and whimsy, and the mans incapacity to feel remorse or even real deep sadness (him saying 'Oh! The dead one?' when Simon asked about Betty was... holy shit) he was just an EXTREMELY interesting character, and I so badly want to see more of him.
Also dude was just funny. The fact he straight up admitted he thought about kissing his alternative universe self was so fucking funny, and plays heavily into his narcissistic behavior and tendencies.
On TOP of that, the idea of how he ended up cursing Bubblegum specifically would be so interesting. I read online people assuming when the Ice King did his spell, it was more like "I want Princess Bubblegum to love me, so I'll do a spell so she can understand what I'm feeling and then she'll marry me!" but then the 'understand what I'm feeling' is actually just... "Hey, I feel absolute madness, here, take it off my hands!' and might have just been a huge accident. We certainly can't trust Winter King's words about it.
I don't know. He was so fascinating, and the way he put feelers out to see if Simon would feel the way he does (Specifically talking about making an Ice Betty, then realizing Simon was disturbed so he shrugged it off with a laugh, being like 'no thats immoral obviously haha') and the fact that he was so cautious and smart about avoiding telling Simon how he conquered the crown? Like he would be glad to help and teach Simon how to keep his sanity AND his power... but obviously would have never spoken his secret the more he realized Simon would morally object to it.
I dunno. This character was in the show for 20 minutes and he was so fucking interesting I almost feel robbed. I hope maybe we can get some Adventure Time comics about the guy at the VERY least!

The Lin Kuei trio + Raiden reacting to their usually nice, compassionate, and generally nurturing s/o suddenly looks at an enemy and goes "You have five f**king seconds before I rip open your stomach and turn your innards into a noose." And proceeds to do just that to frightening effect?
Tumblr media
First time writing for Raiden, so hell probably be ooc and some shitty character writing to be made aware of 😂 🦦
Tomas Vrbada
Honestly didn’t see that coming.
He guessed that what he got for judging a book by it’s cover and Tomas learnt that rather fast upon seeing you destroy your opponent in frightening quick succession. So upon seeing your sweet tender smile afterwards whilst covered in blood was bone chilling to Tomas, knowing that someone so sweet, so kind, so caring and nurturing like you had the ability to switch up to a more vicious and violent version persona.
Tomas would be lying to himself if he said he didn’t find you covered in someone else’s blood extremely attractive. So you best mark him down as scared and horny because holy shit.
Like Raiden, he felt the need to protect you and keep you within range of him, but that’s mainly because he’s absolutely terrified of losing you like he lost his family. So he knew that he could come across as overbearing at time when it came to keeping you safe, but you knew that it all came from a good place, and that Tomas was trying so hard to avoid a repetition of in his past to happen to you; So upon learning that you didn’t in fact need his help in keeping you safe, he allows himself to relax a little and ease off of you in fear of being the next person you pummel.
To which he knew wouldn’t be the case but that pent up anger you displayed must’ve come from somewhere.
Tomas came to accept that the hands that he came to love and admire whilst melting within their warm, tender and nurturing hold as they cupped his face, also possessed the ability to mane and destroy just as easily as they could heal and mend his broken heart and patch up his open wounds from intensive missions.
Kuai Liang
Surprised but honestly wonders where it was that you had learnt to defend yourself and in that brutal fashion.
So while everyone else was taken aback when you inevitably unleash hellfire upon your opponents to frightening effect. Kuai Liang on the other hand was only feeling sorry for the poor bastard on the receiving end of your vicious blows, they looked like they fucking hurt that Kuai Liang was for certain on.
Upon first meeting you, Kuai Liang genuinely believed that you either had no prior experience in combat, or just held a distain towards all things violent and purposefully adhere it all together; Not that he was claiming that was a bad thing. It was just a rarity to come across someone like you. To the point where Kuai Liang would often worried that someday someone would sniff this out, before then proceeding to taking advantage and manipulate you into shady business under the pretences of doing good.
He didn’t want to tarnish your kind, caring and loving nature by bringing this up in fear that it would only make you think negatively, and or ashamed of yourself, which would never ever be his primary intention. Kuai Liang was too aware of the horrible people that blended within the shadows and lurked in dark alleyways, so therefore he didn’t want you getting involved in something that would alter you into a person that you would forever hate ever becoming.
Knowing now that you could fully protect yourself if the instance ever did arrive, Kuai Liang would only become more adamant in helping you incorporate moves of self defence into your arsenal, so you’ll always be ready for near enough anything if he wasn’t able to be with you.
Bi-Han
He is proud as all hell.
While your vulgar threat made his brows raise in slight surprise but mainly curiosity, having wondered where this side chaotic and violent of you had came from, but ultimately took a sickening form of satisfaction of seeing you back up your words by utterly decimating your enemy with doing what you forewarned was about to happen; He might as well looked like an utter mad man with how much attention he was giving, good lord.
He’s giving your fighting style an close and in-depth examination, taking notes on everything that you did good and everything that you could use some improvement upon with his help as though he was locked within a high intensity game of chess! Someone was getting brutally pulverised and yet Bi-Han could only watch on with genuine intrigue on articulating methods in to making you even more deadly in combat.
He’s seen a golden opportunity and he would be stupid to let it go now.
Tumblr media
Raiden
Scared and horny 2.0
Poor baby is taken aback by your vicious side.
However he would still hold your hand as though they were made of porcelain as he takes a wet cloth and cleans away the blood and viscera from your knuckles to take care of your bruises that lied beneath from brutally beating down your enemy. You’re still the kind, caring and nurturing person he knows and loves, you just got some added qualities that’s all!
Even though your caring and nurturing nature often made you look weak and in constant need of defending in the eyes of others, Raiden didn’t see it the way that they did. While yes he felt this obligation to keep you out of harms way and keep you close, that’s just how Raiden is as a person to defend those who couldn’t defend themselves. And that was in no way shape or form meant to be taken as him disregarding your ability to protect yourself.
That wasn’t his intention and if you did believe that were the case. Then he would have no qualms in reminding you of how much he trusts you to protect yourself, even going so far as to sight this as a major example of that. Your fighting style may be consistent of the usage of deadly and lethal force but Raiden knew that you wouldn’t willingly use it against just anybody, only using it as a method of self defence first and foremost, unless further provoked into engaging in a full altercation.
Much like Tomas, Raiden probably also thought that you being covered in someone else’s blood was attractive in it’s own regard.
