Webtoon comics I think are underrated.

Now, I just want to make it clear that when I say “underrated” I don’t mean as if it isn’t heard of or been read, just that it’s underrated in the sense that nobody talks about it, makes posts about it, fanfics, fan arts, etc.

…and if you haven’t read these then I highly recommend you do!!! It’s so worth it, trust! I’ll add in a little review too!

1. DEATH: Rescheduled (Thriller)

The story in short is about a world where you have the Kill Law, a law where you are legally allowed to kill one person a year, no consequences. However the “Penny” Kreyul and his friends disagree with the Kill Law and are going to put an end to it no matter what.

Death: rescheduled had me so captivated that I refused to sleep before I finished reading. I even spent money on this shit because it was so entrancing! My favourite episode was by far 66, it was so funny and it builds up ships and just pure wholesomeness of the group.

The characters all have great personalities, the story is amazing and omg the art is so beautiful. You’ll love it.

2. Sable Curse (Fantasy)

This story follows a young girl named Tarron, a girl who is cursed and will die in 6 months. Her (honestly abusive) parents decide to take her and her sister to a holiday retreat. There she ends up finding new friends, herself, potential love, and maybe even a cure for her curse. But as it turns out, she’s not the only one cursed either.

This story is amazing! The art is wonderful, the characters are perfect, some we hate, some we love. We learn throughout the story more about this curse, and even about this special holiday retreat. There is so much mystery to uncover and it is one of my favourite webcomics.

Now, I’ve heard that most people have actually read it, but I encourage that we make a proper fandom for this series!

3. Marionetta (Fantasy)

Two best friends decide to go out and visit the travelling circus. However after a while Julia’s best friend Kamille disappears. Julia is determined to find her again and hunts down the circus, where her best friend is now living. Julia is still going to bring her home and end up losing something very valuable. Her life. For this circus is for the dead. Now Julia has to uncover the true secrets behind the circus whilst still trying to bring her and Kamille home. Will she manage? Or will she have to kill Anthonn Gremminger to save her life?

When I tell you this webcomic is a roller coaster of emotions. There are plenty of ships to chase, characters to stan, and many theories to explore. I love this webcomic so bloody much and I was actually surprised that there wasn’t a lot posted about it.

This is such a cool and dark story, with lovely and cute art. I could talk about it for hours.

4. After School Activities For Unripe Apples (Drama)

A wholesome slow burn between Mi-ae and an old childhood friend, Cheol. When another year starts and Mi-ae needs to take school more seriously the son of the family friends shows up in her class, but now seen as Lucifer, a hostile boy who ends fights - but is that the boy Mi-ae remembers? Who she know knows and loves?

This is a cute, funny and entertaining webcomic. You would think that things would be so simple, however due to school, parents, and other issues the characters face of themselves and others, it is difficult to understand and accept your own feelings. This is exactly why I love this series so much, it’s relatable and adorable. We especially love Mi-ae.

There are a few fanfics out there, but honestly where is the love it deserves??

5. My universe (Romance)

Apart from the normal college life Hayeon lives, she has this special gift.. she can communicate with the universe. She ends up communicating with an alien, who she gives the name Ujun. They want to be able to actually meet each other, but alas that is nearly impossible. But imagine the surprise when Ujun ends up taking over the body of one of Hayeons classmates, and crush, Hyeonsu. Now they must figure out a way to send him back whilst still spending some time together. However the peacefulness and secrets can’t be kept as the aliens are taking over. What will Hayeon do now? And can she even trust Ujun anymore?

Now this story deserves its own universe fr. The art is super cute as is the story, however things get more complicated as the story progresses. When I was still reading this the first thing I would do in the morning is read the next episode as soon as I got the daily pass because it was so good! Obviously I’m not going to spoil the ending, however the waves of emotions this series brings you is inhuman.

All in all it’s a fantastic webcomic that deserves so much love and attention!

6. Stray Souls (Fantasy)

In a world of magic and string weaving, some are fortunate and some are not. Eylin isn’t particularly good at string weaving, however that doesn’t stop her and her friends from stopping the wicked and doomed Amethyst King. Follow along the difficulty journey with friendship, love, and a whole lot of mystery. But what is it all worth in the end?

Holy moly this story is AMAZING. The plot is genius and the art is fantastic, the characters are so original and all have such amazing personalities!! Although, it’s a bit hard to keep track of them all😭 still love them all.

All in all it’s so amazing and has so much potential to be incredibly popular, yet there is no fandom!? Give it attention!!

7. Spirit Fingers (Drama)

Adorable Amy Song is incredibly self conscious and insecure. She has no support and no confidences, however after stumbling upon an art club drawing each other and their wacky poses - she ends up becoming their model too. After meeting a cute guy and getting his number she enters the group herself! This group accepts her with love and so much care, and she finally starts to feel more confident in herself and her art! She might even get a boyfriend!

This is quite literally the cutest and most heartwarming webcomic I’ve read in a while. And there is no one talking about it!!’ It’s been around for sooooo long too!!! When I tell you I cry, and laugh, and smile so hard at every chapter!! If you love a heartwarming, coming of age, and found family comic - then this is perfect!! And the art is beautiful!! It’s a perfect read for artists!!

Miss Amy is literally so relatable for those who don’t feel very pretty or have any sorts of insecurities regarding looks or academics. It’s a beautiful, long, and mostly free (if you’re fine with ads) comic, and it’s the best thing I’ve ever found.

Now! So far this are all the webcomics that come to mind! I think all of these are great and I just know that so many more will enjoy these if they gave them a chance.

I’d love to talk about these with other people, and I’d even love it if others would like to share some webcomics they believe are underrated too.

-I see him as a words of affirmation and physical affection kinda guy—and when he promises something, he keeps every single promise

-Showers you in compliments and would gladly brag about you to the first person who asks

-I think that the sex with Lemmons would be really sweet, gentle, and altogether a glowingly positive thing

-He’s really into body worship and praise in the most wholesome of ways

-He also strikes me as very considerate and sweet during sex and so he’s going to be asking you how things feel, if you’re comfortable or enjoying yourself, that sort of thing

-Yes, you were each other’s firsts :)

-But rest assured, every single time is making love, not ever just sex

-Cuddle sessions after sex mixed with pillow talk about the future, where you want to live, how many kids you’ll have, etc.

-Now you, on the other hand? You’re going to live really close to his family and to yours and unfortunately, I do think that it’s really hard

-It’s a damningly lonely thing, being separated from one’s spouse

-Your letters are full of encouragement and adoration, support from afar and signed with so much love

-And his letters are the best part of your week (especially the ones that make you blush because he’s going on about how he wants to see you pregnant and have his children haha)

-But it doesn’t make up for missing him

Okay, let me be clear with a disclaimer that this has been throughout my entire life, and obviously, media targeted towards children that are mentioned are most definitely in the past.

I have them formatted with a small chunk of info as to why I ship/shipped them. I sorted them in order of how weird I think they are, from plain vanilla to the esoteric. I am also going to have a checkmark [✅] signifier that will indicate whether I've read fics for the ship or not.

This show was my childhood, I think I started watching it with my family when I was under 10. Anyway, I feel like they were a slow burn done correctly. Wholesome as all hell, plus Fran is an amazing character and I love how she integrated herself into the family the right way.

You cannot deny that the “I loathe you” kiss was perfect. They hated each other for so long, and I get the dislike of that aspect to the relationship, but they still made them believable without squashing their pre-established chemistry.

I cannot believe that Sea Change and the episode where Lewis left made me cry. I must’ve watched Sea Change like 50 million times because it was just peak cinema to me, but I couldn’t watch Lewis leaving again because it crushed my soul so violently. The moment when he came back with that sweeping camera motion made me audibly gasp and kick my legs. It was that bad.

I’m really sad they didn’t work it out in the end, although I completely understand Rikki and I wouldn’t want to go back to Zayne myself. Although it did seem like Zayne was trying to make things right with her in the last episode? But Mako Mermaids didn’t show her with Zayne, so I’m inclined to believe they never made up.

Another one I’m not too proud of, in retrospect, although I still do see some romantic tones to the relationship. But the fics were great, not gonna lie.

Boi, another ship I feel very strongly about. Objectively, they are canon and I’m going to continue to believe they are. I love their shared dream and I think the foundation of their relationship is very precious.

I understand the arguments against this ship, that it’s kind of toxic and all that, but I just don’t care. They literally feel like soulmates and I just vibe with this dynamic. A perfect kiss, and a great ending.

I only watched the first few episodes of the original Sailor Moon and the ending with my sister for my birthday, so this is another ship that I haven’t seen. But I still love them from what I’ve been exposed to and I hate that they were reduced to friends with the English dub.

Again, a peripheral ship where I didn’t watch or see Cardcaptor Sakura, but I mean, they’re adorable and canon. Not much else to say about it.

Attack On Titan

Ymir/Krista Lenz ✅

Let me break this down before everyone hates me. I love Ymir and Krista. Ymir was really the push she needed to become her own person and I love that arc. But I’m also a firm believer in bisexuality existing, headcanons are fine, and that it’s okay to move on from past loves.

Eren Yeager/Historia Reiss ✅

I was kind of cringe during this era, and I did think they were endgame, which is why the ending tainted my opinion of the show overall. I fell off the show pretty shortly after the manga finished. But sometimes I will revisit these two to torture myself for some reason. I’m sure Destiel and Merthur shippers can concur.

Erwin Smith/Levi Ackerman ✅

You know, I loved the fake Ackerman lore that Eren came up with because it was an interesting literary device and at least confirmed this ship slightly. They felt very gay in a weird way.

Armin Arlert/Annie Leonhart ✅

It’s funny, I shipped them before Annie was revived and fell off the ship once they became canon. It felt really strange, but the way the relationship played out felt just contrived and fake afterward.

Haikyu!

Hinata Shoyo/Kageyama Tobio ✅

Ya’ll, symbolism at its finest. I’m not sure what happened to their relationship after watching season 3, which is when I dropped the show because I lost interest in sports anime in general.

Oof, another mom and dad ship that I appreciated a lot. It was another constant +5 if it was a side pairing in a fic.

(For anyone that’s alarmed and doesn’t know, they’re not actually related.)  They’re very frustrating for me because they are so aesthetic, and they are honestly quite close to canon. But I just think there are certain aspects to the relationships that I don’t like, like Mika’s obsessive behaviours toward Yuu. Just reminds me of Eremika.

The Betrayal Knows My Name

Okay, the one thing that I actually love about this ship is the reincarnation aspect to it because it really drives home how in love they are with each other. Yuki will always love Luka even if he doesn’t remember him, and Luka will love Yuki no matter what form he takes. Very deep.

God Of War: Ragnarok

I don’t understand why a lot of people didn’t like this relationship. They were very cute and gave me some Rapunzel/Flynn Rider vibes, especially in the very beginning. And I can see them in a very cute, mutually supportive romance.

Last Of Us Part 1

Ellie Williams/Riley Abel

I refuse to have my adolescence destroyed by part 2 after I saw the smallest clip of Joel dying, so I’m sticking to Left Behind. I was sobbing by the end of that DLC. Also, the show handled THAT scene perfectly. Loved it.

(so. I decided to bite the bullet as soon as I wrote that. and I watched a playthrough.)

Okay. Listen. I would love it if they got back together in that theory with the bracelet. But I also see a poetic parallel to Tommy and Maria. Tommy kept disrespecting Maria and putting himself in danger, and it's clear that that's the main reason for them taking a break. There might be a chance to get back together, but it would take a lotta time.

My Little Pony

Fluttershy/Discord ✅

I am shooketh at the implications of the last episode. They were my favourite ship in MLP, and I am sad to share the cringe that I watched Bride and Daughter of Discord when that was around. But the whole paper bag thing during the epilogue made me implode, I’m so happy they ended up semi-canon.

Rainbow Dash/Apple Jack

They did have many moments that left me in a chokehold when I was in my older childhood years, but I fell off MLP for a solid 5 years before hearing the rumours on the grapevine that they became canon. And they are super close, you can tell.

Undertale

Undyne/Alphys ✅

These iconic chaotic lesbians made me squeal at Undyne’s cheek kiss in the end credits. I love practically every single one of their scenes together.

RG 1/RG 2 ✅

They literally made me blush during their boss fight. Raw dude bro love that turned into something more. Something deeper.

I’m pretty sure no one in existence knows what this show is, but lemme tell you, Zoey and Kiki just gave me the vibe of an alien couple on a little adventure that gets trapped on Earth. I don’t remember the ending, but I do remember how cute they were.

Despite the bad rep this ship has gotten over the years, I would still sacrifice Arcadia Bay at any opportunity. Their kiss was truly a magical moment.

The Not Stanley ending still breaks my heart when I watch it, and Ultra Deluxe just expanded on their relationship so well. They give “I hate to love you and love to hate you” vibes.

Oh come on, anyone who doesn’t ship them confuses me. They have the backstory, they have the revealed, close relationship, and everybody acknowledges the subtext. This ship feels so similar to the Destiel situation rabbit hole, honestly. And it’s also incredibly frustrating.

Ban's parents have the last place in the list ( both on parenting and in being assholes ) . They literally had one page in the entire series and still managed to make it into this list !

Seeing Ban getting beat up in the manga was hard enough but in the anime + the emotional music had me punching the air like a 5 year old .

Yet another crappy parent has made it into the running ! Not only did this jerk abandon his son as a baby and dumped him on his father ( is percival even Ironside's son ?) he couldn't let the poor kid live in peace and MURDERED Percy's grandpa, his own father in cold blood before trying to kill percival too leaving him to die .

If that wasn't enough we found out not that long ago that this ass is happily raising HIS OTHER SON in Camelot, proving that he can actually be a good dad... BUT NOT TO PERCIVAL 💀.

No instead the few times they ran into each other, Ironsid tried to kill percival, harmed his friends and even tried manipulating him into thinking he cared for him to take him by surprise in a fight .

7. Bubbamiah (Bubba x Jeremiah, Inside the Mysterious Cube (Shoot from the Hip), canon)

They have such a wholesome relationship. They’re gay farmers (funny that SFTH has done that twice) from the southern US, and they’re just so genuinely happy together. Also their story is so gorgeous? I love that they fight side by side—Bubba got cube legs just to follow Jeremiah onto the battlefield, and I assume that was something he hadn’t really wanted to do (because he’d have done it sooner if he wanted to). But he did it anyway so that Jeremiah wouldn’t be alone. And then Jeremiah dies (in what is genuinely one of the most beautiful death scenes I’ve ever witnessed), and Bubba’s response is to get revenge, because he knows that’s what Jeremiah would want. And then Jeremiah comes back, and I’m so glad he does, because they deserve to go back to living their comfortable, peaceful lives on the farm.

6. Ditch (Derek x Titch, the Unrelenting Aubergine (Shoot from the Hip), canon)

Oh, look, the other gay farmers from a SFTH play. Who would have guessed? Okay, but seriously, these two are so fucking adorable. Derek is so helplessly in love. Honestly, despite the clear sexual intent of the title, they are so wholesome. Also: Titch, my beloved. He’s so scared of his own feelings, and Derek is perfect for him, too, because he knows when to give Titch space and when to push him to make a decision. They just have such a beautiful story.

5. Hornchurch (Andrews x Betruvia, the Phantom of Hornchurch (Shoot from the Hip), headcanon)

Look. Look. They have everything I look for in a couple. They remind me so much of Evervale, so it’s honestly no surprise I gravitated toward them. The thing is, no matter how much I love more wholesome ships, tragic and toxic ships have always been and will always be my favourite. And they definitely fall insert both categories. They’ve spent millennia reincarnating just to fight each other, and that, if you ask me, is very gay.

4. Esmerelda x the vampire slayer (the thirsty vampires sketch (Shoot from the Hip), canon)

Honestly I’m not even sure I can talk about them because I just want to scream. They had so much fucking chemistry, for a start, and I loved their characters individually. But together? I just. I just. Also, the fucking ending… I loved it before. But the ending just solidified it. Because, as previously stated, I love tragic or toxic ships. And so here we are. (Also is there a ship name for them? Because I need one.)

3. Castlelair (Alastair Lowe x Gavin Grieve, All of Us Villains and All of Our Demise by Amanda Foody and C. L. Herman, canon)

Okay so. So. Um. I’m unsure of how to express my love for them, because holy shit. This is enemies to lovers done right. I remember reading the first book and thinking that they had chemistry, but I didn’t think anything would come of it, because Alastair was with Isobel. And then I read the second book, and I screamed. They’re so perfect? I have so many annotations just screaming incoherently about them (honestly calling them annotations is a bit of a stretch). I love how they’re opposites of each other from the beginning, and yet so fucking similar deep down. Also, I love how obsessed Gavin was with him from the beginning, especially when compared to the fact that Alastair literally never bothered to learn his name at the beginning. Also (and this is probably bad), I love it when my ships torture someone else together. I don’t know what it is, but something about it compels me like nothing else (again, in FICTION). So that is quite the bonus for them. I could genuinely write a whole wall of text about them (albeit not a very coherent one), but I’ll leave it for now.

2. Evervale (Eli Ever x Victor Vale, Vicious and Vengeful by V. E. Schwab, headcanon)

Evervale is kind of what I look for when I’m looking for ships. They have so much history, which is probably the thing I love the most in ships. I wrote two posts a bit ago about all of the things I love about them, so I think this bit will probably just be a shorter version of that, but here goes. They are the only people who have ever understood each other, and they are the only people who ever will. They mean so much to each other, even ten years after everything went down. And even though they hate each other, they still care so much about what the other one thinks. They’re so fundamentally similar but different in such key ways, and I love them so much, and I think I’m going to cut myself off here, because I already did two posts about this.

1. Merthur (Arthur Pendragon x Merlin, BBC Merlin, headcanon)

It was never going to be anyone else. They’re a classic, and there’s a reason for that. The tragedy of it is a big part of what draws me to it—Merlin is left wandering the world, alone, forever, without his other half. But there’s also—and I think I made a post about this, too—the element of unbalanced dedication. Merlin loves Arthur so deeply that he rewrites his entire moral code, crosses all of his lines (“Who says my destiny has to include murder?”), literally gives his entire life trying to keep Arthur safe. And Arthur has no idea. And that, more than anything else, is the thing that makes this ship for me. (I told you I liked the darker relationship dynamics.) Obviously, there are also a million other reasons why I ship them—the way they talk to each other, the fucking looks—but I think that the the reason I love them as much as I do comes down to the dedication and the tragedy.

10. June (Vengeful by V. E. Schwab)

I’m genuinely so intrigued by her. I don’t have that much to say about her, to be honest, because we don’t have a lot of information on her, but I just really like her. She’s so interesting, and I really want to learn more about her; I hope we get more of her backstory in Victorious.

9. Merlin (BBC Merlin)

Honestly, he goes through so much. He deserved so much better, but truthfully, his pain is part of why I love him so much. The thing is, I don’t often find myself liking main characters, because I fine “good people” to be irritating (in fiction, obviously). But Merlin intrigues me, because he starts with such a strong moral code, but he ends up sacrificing all of that for Arthur’s sake. And that? That kind of character progression fascinates me.

8. Juliet Caesar (Caesar and Juliet (Shoot from the Hip))

I love murderous women, okay? She’s insane, and I love her for it. Her line about women getting corrupted by power just like men was iconic. Also, I’m just so interested as to her character development. Because of the time-skip, we go from her being fourteen and a pretty innocent, sweet girl—albeit with a definite hint of desire for power—to her fifteen years later, as a full-grown woman, murdering people and running the entire country. And I just really want to see those fifteen years. (Obviously they didn’t have time in the play; this isn’t a criticism of that.) But yeah, she really interests me.

7. Arthur Pendragon (BBC Merlin)

The first time I saw Arthur Pendragon on a screen, I was twelve years old, and he was a dick. And the first words out of my mouth were, “He’s going to be my favourite.” And he hasn’t let me down. Arthur is a flawed character—which I actually really appreciate, especially since a lot of Arthurian stories portray him as the pinnacle of chivalry—but he has a good heart and a lot of trauma. And I think he’s such a fascinating character, especially looking at the way his dad fucked him up. He made a lot of mistakes through the course of show, but he’s always genuinely trying to do what’s best for his people.

6. The vampire slayer (the thirsty vampires sketch (Shoot from the Hip))

She deserves a name. (I’ve seen a few fanon ones floating around, but I wasn’t sure which one to use.) She’s amazing. She’s so clever, with the way she infiltrated Ybbob and Esmeralda’s home, and with her seduction of Esmeralda. Also, I’m very much here for her very open interest in both of the vampires. (You could argue that that was for show, but I like to think that that’s just what she told herself, and it was actually fuelled by genuine desire. But that’s just a headcanon.) (Also Sam played her really hot—)

5. Gwaine (BBC Merlin)

Okay so. First, to get the obvious out of the way: who the fuck let him look like that? He’s both pretty and hot, and that shouldn’t be allowed. For the record, that is not the only reason I like him. Honestly, the main reason I like him is because he’s a sassy little shit, and that’s my favourite character archetype. He has absolutely no regard for status, and he has chemistry with fucking everybody, and he’s honestly just a queer icon. (Out of the MANY queer-coded characters in BBC Merlin, he is one of the few I genuinely physically cannot picture being straight.)

4. Gavin Grieve (All of Us Villains and All of Our Demise by Amanda Foody and C. L. Herman)

Gavin. Gavin. I think the reason I adore him so much—or, at least, the biggest reason, because I have a lot—is because of just how far he’s willing to go. That’s what I look for in a character. He knows what he wants—to survive—and he will do anything to get it. He mutilates himself. He kidnaps someone. He tortured two separate men. He will do anything, and I admire that. He took his fucked-up family and childhood, and he decided that he was going to prove them all wrong. And he did, and I’m so proud of him.

3. Victor Vale (Vicious and Vengeful by V. E. Schwab)

There are very few characters I relate to as deeply as I relate to Victor Vale. (Which, knowing the things he’s done, is quite concerning, actually.) The way he talks about something being “missing” from himself, more after he became an EO but before that, too, but not feeling like that’s necessarily a bad thing, is both fascinating and deeply relatable. Also, there’s one scene that has stuck with me since I first read it: Victor in the hotel the night they rescue Sydney, feeling that bone-deep restlessness. That is the first and only time I’ve ever seen that feeling—which I also experience (it genuinely feels like torture)—adequately described. I love Victor for a lot of reasons; he’s pragmatic, and he’s quite ambivalent about morals, and he’s totally obsessed with and locked in on Eli. But every reason I give just comes back to how much I see myself in him.

2. Alastair Lowe (All of Us Villains and All of Our Demise by Amanda Foody and C. L. Herman)

Alastair Lowe is my baby. Honestly, his family fucked him up so badly, even worse than the other families—and that’s saying something. His obsession with being a villain is beautiful, and I really love seeing how his relationship to villainy and being a monster evolves through the books. He starts out so sure of himself, and then, after Hendry’s death, he’s so unsure, and then he decides that he wants to become a better person. And then, when Hendry comes back, he backslides so gorgeously. Honestly, he is one of the best characters I’ve ever read. He’s so angry, and he’s so sad, and he’s so hurt, and he doesn’t even know it.

1. Morgana Pendragon (BBC Merlin)

I said that I love insane women, and I meant it. I love insane women. Honestly, her character arc was so beautiful. (It could have been better executed, but overall, I still really liked it.) She was my favourite character from the first episode, and that has not changed since I was twelve years old. Good Morgana is my favourite. So is evil Morgana. (Also, this isn’t why I love her, but why the fuck is she allowed to be that gorgeous? It is deeply unfair to me as a queer person.) I genuinely don’t know what to say, because I don’t think I can offer any kind of intelligent insight into why I love her. I just love her.

CERTAINLY!

So it isn't really something I've thought over in depth, it's just, y'know...similar energy. But I will try to gather my thoughts about it to answer this.

So for starters you've got Spencer and Cisco who already have a lot in common, just as characters, the most obvious thing being that they're both geniuses/nerds. And there's the fact that Barry and Luke both show up in their lives, and all of a sudden they have someone who is enthralled with their nerdy tendencies. In Barry and Cisco's case it goes both ways, because Barry is also a mega nerd who didn't really have any friends before becoming the Flash, other than Iris, so he and Cisco are kindred spirits right from the start, and they geek out together over things they both find cool.

Meanwhile, with Ralvez, Spencer is the nerd who has a group of friends who all love him, but often get bored or annoyed when he goes on one of his infodumping tangents, and then Luke shows up and finds all his useless facts fascinating, so Spencer can yap at him all he wants and it's a good time for both of them.

Also, with both ships, there's just this effortless, comfortable chemistry between them that doesn't take them any time at all to develop. You look at them and they just look like they've been besties forever, even before they've known each other for very long. It's the greatest thing.

(Not to mention the heart eyes.) And to me they seem like such an obvious choice for the fanon ship to get into, yet they somehow get overshadowed by other, conflicting ships that are more popular in the fandom despite imo not making as much sense.

Of course, there is also the fact that they're both crime fighting duos, in different ways (Barry and Cisco are superheroes, Luke and Spencer are FBI agents), so that's fun, because they both get to take down bad guys, and all four of them have an innate desire to help people, which is very attractive to me (and to each other. what?)

And they're protective of each other. 👀

There's a fair amount of touching and standing close to each other and exchanging glances as well.

And then there's this parallel.

Which I've only just noticed, but it is 😙👌🏻👨‍🍳 perfecto.

Overall, they're just some great guys who really, earnestly love having each other in their lives, would go to great lengths to keep each other safe, and are wholesome and adorable and fun to watch together. They're great friends who would also be great as couples, and they deserve all the love. 💖

Ah yes, another overhated Zelda game that is in my top three. I’ve played this game on the switch and I will say, it’s so much better than the Wii, so if you haven’t played it yet, try to play it on the switch.

Anyways this is one of the few video games that have made me cry. The story is so good and it makes me SUPER emotional. The Link is probably one of the few Links with so much personality poured into him, his relationship with Zelda is super sweet and fun, and the characters and world of skyloft is incredible. The side quests for gratitude crystals is not only wholesome but gets you closer with the residents, so it feels like an island where you grew up with these people. There’s so much to do in this game and I just… AGH I adore it to DEATH.

Groose is easily one of the best characters in Zelda with his incredible development. He’s so complex and insecure about himself and seeing him work through his issues in the game and become good friends with Link is so incredibly wholesome to me. Impa is a strict but sexy awesome character who’s entire story and character is insane to me.

And Fi… she is such an overhated character. Link in this story is super animated and full of personality meanwhile Fi is cold and distant, and these two complement each other so well. And even though she seems to lack personality, she has some moments here and there where she’s being a character, and those moments are amazing. Her saying goodbye to Link affected me more than Midna because you could just feel the bittersweetness. This character is with you through every game with the master sword. And despite not feeling emotions, Fi was happy with Link, and she truly cared about him, just like he cares about her. And I sob everytime. I love Fi she’s one of my favorite companions ever and I wish she wasn’t hated on so much because she doesn’t deserve it.

And let’s not forget Ghirahim, one of my fav characters of all time. He’s such a fascinating and well written villain who rivals Link perfectly! And most bosses in this game are relatively easy to me. But Ghirahim is one of the few bosses that is very hard. He’s not one of those villains that talk a lot of crap and then die in five seconds. He’s a challenge! You’re definitely inexperienced and he’s clearly just toying with you in the beginning! He actually works hard against you in this game instead of sitting around, and the final battle with him, he is truly giving his all, regretting not killing you in the beginning. When he said “what are you?” To Link after being defeated is INCREDIBLE. There was actually a character analysis about him and Groose so I really can’t talk about their characters without talking for five years lol. But yeah, Ghirahim is a GOOD character. And he actually succeeds in what he’s doing! He revives his master! That’s how you know that he’s a genuine threat! Gosh he’s so good

Now for the flaws, alas. The sky isn’t the best? The loftwings are underutilized (Link’s loftwing isn’t even named :/), the world is very small and limited (except for Lanayru, they put all their good ideas into there fr), and there’s a lot of fluff. Like hunting down the song of the hero is just unnecessary to me. Faron is an idiot for not trusting you despite saving her life, then Eldin is just, completely forgettable, and Lanayru is fine. I just don’t like the song of the hero part that much. But of course when you unlock it, that cut scene is incredible.

Another thing is Demise. He sucks. He’s such a boring character to me and he’s way too easy as a final boss fight. Like you see Ghirahim giving his all and then demise just dies immediately ��💀 but the final boss is the most cinematic boss fight ever so that def is a plus. And I also don’t like the introduction of Hylia. She makes the lore so much more boring and confusing and I wish she didn’t exist. Same thing with demise. Having them there was… a choice that was made and doesn’t answer any questions about Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf. Heck, Ganondorf really shouldn’t be included with them. Sure he’s a reoccurring villain, but he’s the same guy everytime, he’s never reincarnated like Link and Zelda. Unless you want to count that as Ganon but I don’t like that whole idea. Idk, it complicates the lore a bit and I can understand why people didn’t like that.

But otherwise a fantastic game that impacted me SO much.

Animaniacs Season 3 Episodes 3-10 Opinions

Spoiler Warning: This review will give major spoilers for certain episodes of this show. Proceed at your own risk.

Hi guys. Listen, I think Season 3 was pretty strong and it improved after the first two episodes. However, the ending made me very pissed and I am kind of having an emotional moment right now. I just can’t believe that it’s over. And I can’t believe that it ended so poorly. I don’t think I’ll ever watch that last episode again, except for the cold opening. I just feel like the ending kind of lied to us. We got a Pinky and The Brain cold opening, not a full segment, and while it was good, for this to be the last appearance of the mice just makes me sad. The final segment also dragged on way too long and it just abruptly ended in a not funny way. This review will mainly focus on Pinky and The Brain, but I loved a few Warners segments such as “Warner Games”, “Santamaniacs”, “Island of Dr. Warneau”, and “Über Nachtmare”. Anyways, lets get on with the reviews.

“Talladega Mice” was one of the most surprisingly amazing segments of the entire reboot. I loved how it contained some references to older episodes and it was full of charming moments. I also loved how it focued on Pinky and his minor anxiety problems, with Brain having to calm him down to survive. This episode had the funniest moments in the entire third season, with me laughing for a solid 2+ minutes after watching this. I loved how it shows a softer side of Brain, with him using impressions to calm Pinky down. He also engages in an adorable tickle fight (Brain’s ticklish you guys!) and even allows Pinky to suck on his finger when he gets too stressed out. I feel really comfortable in saying that this segment felt very realistic in its portrayal of anxiety, stress, and the ways to cope with it. I relate to Pinky immensely here since I also have stress problems and need things to distract myself from them. I can safely say that this is a must-watch with hilarious moments, and some underlying messages.

“Mad Mouse: Furry Road” was a great, but not amazing segment. I was let down a bit, but I still found this fun and engaging. I loved Pinky’s sense of humor and Brain was also enjoyable. I think the animation was impressive and some of the moments between the mice were cute. While I think that it suffered from slow pacing at moments and not every joke was a slam dunk, (Also, that gross-out joke was not necessary, but shockingly, I’ve seen worse!) I still think that this is a decent watch.

“Groundmouse Day” was very funny and cute! I loved Brain and how he grew more and more insane after the day kept repeating. I loved Egwind and his cameo and Pinky was as adorable as he was funny. That moment when Pinky kissed Brain goodnight was one of the most pure and wholesome moments in the reboot (also Pinky is gay and so is Brain!). I loved the ending twist and I really felt every emotion seep from the screen. The expressions were wonderful and I loved all the Groundhog Day references. I felt really happy after watching this and I just feel like things were handled very well. Overall, I recommend this segment!

“All’s Fair in Love and Door” was hands-down the best episode from season 3. The drama, the comedy, the high-stakes, it was all amazing. Julia was as insane and hilarious as ever and Pinky deserves all the happiness. Also, Pinky and Brain love each other!!! The end blew my mind and I was very satisfied. I loved all the emotions and how realistic they all felt. I was surprised by a few things in this segment such as Brain covering Pinky to protect him from Julia (that jump was hilarious tho) and the real Julia showing up at the end! Please make a movie with Julia in it!!! The premise of this episode was extremely well-planned and all the VA’s did fantastic jobs with everything. This was the most surprising episode of the show in terms of twists and turns. Go watch this right now!!! I think this episode is worth your time!!

“How The Brain Thieved Christmas” was the episode that got me to cry. Yeah I know it’s cliche for me to like the Christmas episode but I did. The episode balanced perfect comedy, references, and genuine heart into one package. The first part was funny and engaging. The second part was tense and heartwarming. And when Pinky told Brain that he loved him, I screamed! I loved the Pinky dolls (especially the muscular one) and the moment when Pinky posed seductively was hilarious. The moment that got me was when Brain received the thing he needed to tack over the world from Pinky and he starts crying a little. The moment when all the characters sang “Silent Night” made me start getting a little steamy eyed. Pinky has the voice of an angel. I laughed when Brain finished the song at the end and I felt so warm and fuzzy after this episode; it was so good! Pinky and Brain truly care and love each other and I personally think that Brinky is canon now. This wasn’t as good as “A Pinky and The Brain Christmas” but I still felt emotions while watching this. I was also not happy that the show was ending, and I did a little ugly cry after watching, but still. A great Christmas episode with a fantastic ending, I couldn’t recommend this more.

“International Mouse of Mystery” was a huge letdown! I thought this was a full segment, but it was only a cold-opening?!! We were ripped off! Still it was a good opening with a pretty good song. Pinky is truly the second best singer on the show, without a doubt! I loved the animation and I think that this further hints at Brinky. Also, Pinky looks fabulous!! It’s a great idea, but it was just too short. If this is the last thing we see from the mice duo, I’ll be disappointed. Overall, not bad but just a huge disappointment and we were robbed of a proper conclusion.

All in all, I think this season was pretty solid. The ending was un-satisfying and there were a few moments of season 1’s weaker segments, but I still think this was better than the first season. Season 2 still is the best overall, but there were some great moments here. Just don’t watch the last episode except for the cold-opening if you want to keep you sanity and emotions in-check. I’ll still be talking about Pinky and The Brain constantly and I truly don’t think that this is the end of the franchise. Also, Brinky is canon!!!! Thank you guys so much for reading this!! I hope you enjoyed season 3!

Oriana —

Favorite thing about them: I'm going to be incredibly non-specific and say that her growth as a character was my favorite part of playing her. She started out as this uptight, dutiful monk who was scared to show her own face too much for fear of making people mildly uncomfortable (and honestly to avoid invasive questions) to someone who was finally getting comfortable with who they were was such a blast. I love her newly-acquired confidence and the dynamic it brings to her post-campaign. She's far from perfect, and never will be, but she's maturing and making a new purpose for herself other than being someone's errand girl.

Least favorite thing about them: She is the worst pessimist in the world and sometimes her logic is so quick to jump to the worst conclusions that she literally puts her foot in her mouth. And it hurts for me to write that every single time due to secondhand embarrassment but I have to commit.

Favorite line: "She loved you! She still loves you!" at the Prince during the final fight while she's trying to distract him (or something like that). Or Ori's first jab at Damak "Maybe you would see more of it if you stepped out of the shadows" since it still makes me chuckle.

brOTP: Even though the Ori/Damak ship didn't sail, I still think they probably stay pretty close and end up working together on jobs in the future. They absolutely still push each other's buttons, but that's just how they are and they don't question it.

OTP: I am so mad at myself retroactively for not giving into the OriRanna feels by the conclusion of the campaign but I do not regret bringing it up afterwards and getting to enjoy it now at least.

nOTP: Ori and Cobalt are forever divorced and they barely know each other, this is just canon.

Random Headcanon: Ori has a hard time accepting the fact that Sharaea is basically keeping her distance after the Prince's defeat. In part because she does feel that connection still and worries that Sharaea is hurting, and partially because it is such a strange sensation to her to be without the dreams for so long after such a major revelation. It takes her a long time to get used to it, but she still wishes that there was more she could do.

Unpopular Opinion: I don't know if it's an unpopular opinion among our little group, but I never had intentions of making Oriana some kind of fated hero. I never had thoughts of making her tied to a major NPC or giving her any kind of serious destiny, I just wanted to play a radiant energy bomb with the aasimar/monk combo because I thought it would be funny once I pitched the idea to Sam and he told me about Damak who was basically her foil. But I do adore how her story developed and how well it ended up narratively.

Song I associate with them: So many... "Like the Dawn" by The Oh Hellos, "Warrior" by AURORA, and "Drumming Song" by Florence + The Machine to name a few.

Favorite picture of them: I like a lot but honestly one of my favs is the one I made of Chibs trying to hit on her, partly because it's Chibs and partly because I did really like how Ori's outfit came out in this one.

Mela —

Favorite thing about them: Literally the most wholesome member of the group. Not a bad bone or crystal in her body. I am so sorry for all that we put her though.

Least favorite thing about them: Only that I didn't get enough time to learn more about her and her backstory. Sigh.

Favorite line: "Real neighbors. Real family. Not just people that make you feel like you can pretend it doesn't exist."

brOTP: Mela and Halion. Druid buddies that deserve the world.

OTP: Mela is an independent Genasi who don't need no one... though I could be swayed about a certain fae...

nOTP: Literally anyone who would try to be mean to her in a relationship will meet a swift end by my hand.

Random Headcanon: 100% think that Mela's magic is flavored to look like the crystals on her body. If she wildshapes and doesn't specifically want to look a certain way, the animal she changes into will have things like crystal horns/claws, the flame sword she summons has the appearance of a crystal blade, etc.

Unpopular Opinion: I do wish she had gotten a chance to use wild shape more. I think Mela being a cute little critter sneaking around would have been amazing.

Favorite picture of them: That dang sketch I never colored, rip

Vaela —

Favorite thing about them: Drinking game QUEEN. Also just the fact that she doesn't take any shit while still having a lot of heart and empathy to those who earn it. Something about that balance between the two just made her all the more lovable.

Least favorite thing about them: she can out-drink my high constituion monk I do think I missed out on really getting to know her during the campaign, and I regret that a lot.

Favorite line: Not a specific line but I think back to Vaela's talks with Erosen when he was ready and willing to be her stand-in dad before Vaela was ready to reach back out to her family and i can't help but smile.

brOTP: Vaela, Riven, and Mela is the real brot3 and nothing can change my mine

OTP: I mean... I definitely have a certain paladin that turns a lovely shade of pink when someone talks about her because she sure is pretty and really cool to boot~

nOTP: Zaresh and his memory is not allowed to ever hurt Vaela again. If Damak didn't do it, Ori would have definitely put him out of his misery.

Random Headcanon: Very little thing, but I could see her gathering small, light trinkets that remind her of her friends and tie them to her bow, possibly for good luck, and possibly as a way to to tell which direction the wind is blowing when she's aiming.

Unpopular Opinion: I still think it would have been cool for her to pull an Erosen and punch Zaresh in the face. Just once.

Riven —

Favorite thing about them: Riven's sassiness and perfect comedic timing always leaves me in stitches. She really felt like the heart of the party in that way.

Least favorite thing about them: This is the hardest thing and most of my "least favorite" things are mostly the things Oriana keeps fretting about when she thinks about Riven being in such a high position so I'm gonna go with not much at this time to be honest.

Favorite line: Not a line again, but specifically the scene between Ori and Riven where Riv dressed her up while Ori reassured her that she didn't think any less of Riven after they all found out about her half-drow heritage. That always felt like a major point in their friendship and I hold onto it fondly.

brOTP: I wanna say Riven and Halion just because I think their friendship was so neat, and it hurts a bit when I think about their falling out post-campaign. But there's also Riv and Damak's sibling-ish dynamic that I love a lot, too.

OTP: As much as he pushes Ori's nerves, I do think Riv and Delethil are on the same wavelength as each other and fit very well together, even with Eravin in the mix.

Random Headcanon: On the occasions where Oriana comes up to Aerenth on business (either with Ranna for her research or at the request of various Tyados officials who think she's got some kind of in with them because she's friends with Riven), Ori always makes a point to find Riven and any of the other girls that might be there with them after all the formalities are done and run off into the woods to find a clearing to just hang out in like they did before.

Unpopular Opinion: As much as I understand the reason why she and Del made the choice to execute Vasion, I still disagree that it was the best decision.

Song I associate with them: "Savage Daughter" by Sarah Hester mostly because of the rebellious vibes

What was it about Parker that made everything so wholesome? Cat wondered if it was her instead. Pete was right, everyone was a shapeshifter, people changed, and as a consequence so did their perception of things.

The mutant snuggled closer to Parker on the bed, now that she was waking up a new feeling was crawling up her chest. Parker couldn't stay, his time here was ending, and so were their chances to be together. She couldn't abandon this universe, especially now that the Young Avengers needed a leader.

She'd finally gotten something she wanted to explore as Cat, though, and she wanted to hold onto it too. The mutant never tried to hold onto anything, but this seemed like the right time to try that out.

Parker stirred awake as she pressed tighter against him, and his arms wrapped around her soothingly. He kissed the top of her head and breathed in like he'd had the most pleasant sleep of a decade. "Had a bad dream?"

"A bad life..." she mumbled against his chest. "And now that I can change that... I'm scared I won't be able to."

Parker looked down at her with worry. "Listen, I'm a stubborn guy so I can handle whatever comes next, but I need you to tell me face to face, now that you've calmed down, that you want to be with me for sure."

"I already told you," Cat huffed.

"But you were going through many things yesterday, you said Kurt's leaving, and you've run out of fights, makes me feel like you're looking for a new challenge. I'm not the next big milestone, okay? Wanna make sure we agree on that."

Cat pushed herself up, she thought hard about her answer. "Well... how do you feel about us?"

Parker sat up too, they were shoulder to shoulder now. "I really, truly want you. But there is no bigger reason than that. I have a personal pathway that's really clear to me, all I'm asking is if you'd like to keep each other company on the go. What about you?"

Cat fidgeted with the sheets. "Saying I'm in love with you feels cheap, Peter. You're good and I suck. I love you is not enough."

"I don't think you suck," he shrugged. "I think sometimes not even you understand yourself, but you're loyal, and you're capable of loving in an amazing way. In my opinion, that's enough to keep things running."

"You think so?"

"I do, yes," he smiled, eyes full of adoration. "I love you because you make me happy. That's all I need to know."

"Hah," she covered her face with both hands. "Y'know, it had been a while since someone made me feel like this..."

"I'm pretty sure that's on you," Parker raised a brow. "I know some tried and you never let 'em."

"Shouldn't you be glad I didn't?" She nudged his shoulder. "Kept the path cleared out for you."

"Not if it made you miserable," he reached for her hand. "You deserved to be looked after, you should have been loved every day of your life."

"I had love..." Cat thought of all the things that happened just so Parker could be there, all the ways it could've ended up differently. She didn't know if she would've done it all over again, but it didn't feel like the worst outcome either. "And I'm ready to accept more of it."

"You won't regret it," he kissed the back of her hand. "We'll be a great team."

Cat squeezed his hand. "We'll need so much help before we can get to that, though..."

"After all you've done for your friends?" He replied, lips still lingering on her knuckles. "The least they can do is hear you out."

"Again, most problems they faced were my fault."

"I don't trust your unreliable narration," he teased her. "It's about time I met your friends, anyway."

Cat walked up the stone staircase of the mansion's entrance with Parker beside her (dressed in civilian clothes). She was about to knock on the huge wooden doors when a PUFF! was heard and startled them. Peter held onto the stone. "Jesus!"

Nightcrawler sat cross-legged on the broad banister, grinning from ear to ear. "I'm actually his distant cousin. You must be the other Spider-man!"

Parker looked at Cat in confusion, and she introduced them. "This is Kurt. Kurt, this is..." she didn't know what to call him, Parker stepped in right on time.

"Ben Reilly," he offered to shake the mutant's hand. Cat smiled, having many names wasn't such a weird trait when it came to superheroes.

Kurt squinted. "Doesn't sound like a real name."

"I promise it is," Parker replied. "Both names are on my birth certificate."

And as far as Cat knew, at least one of them belonged to him. "How did you know we were here?" She asked her friend.

"Edith saw you coming," he pointed at the upper left corner of the door, there was a tiny camera there. "Webhead says this guy is your boyfriend."

Cat looked at Parker. "I never called you my boyfriend out loud."

"Out loud," Kurt echoed with amusement.

"Shut up," she scowled. "Are you here to open the door or do we have to kick it down?"

"Oh, someone's coming," Kurt got to his feet and stared at Parker, he was a bit shorter than Peter, but the young man stepped back warily anyway. Kurt switched to German. "I'm here to determine if this idiot looks sturdy enough to survive dating you."

Parker's eyes widened. "What did he say?"

Cat knocked on the door loudly. "Open u—!" The doors opened and revealed a large group of people waiting for them. "I was gone for a few hours! How did y'all get here so fast?"

"Kurt picked us up," Wanda stepped forward. "Is that your new boyfriend?"

Kate drew Cat into the room, behind the archer she spotted Yelena and Peter (in his spider suit) talking in quiet whispers, definitely making fun of her. Harley was there still, and he had the E.D.I.T.H. glasses on.

"That toy isn't yours," Cat pointed out.

"Actually, it is," Spider-man responded. "He should be the one to have them."

Harley winked at her, his bruises seemed to be healing nicely, and his eye was no longer swollen, just bloodshot. He glanced over her shoulder. "That your boyfriend?"

"Oh, for fucks sake," she rolled her eyes, calling Parker over. Kurt was standing in his way on purpose. "Knock it off, Smurf!"

Parker approached and waved to the group of super people. "Hi. I'm Ben."

"Ben what?" Harley crossed his arms.

"Ben Reilly," Kurt answered.

Yelena snorted. "That's not a real name."

"That's exactly what I—!"

"Quiet!" Cat exclaimed. "Someone please explain why is everyone here?"

"This is the new clubhouse, is it not?" Yelena asked.

"I thought you didn't want to be an Avenger," Cat raised a brow.

"Kate begged me to come," she looked around. "It is a nice house... you may try to convince me."

"You want free housing," Cat stated.

"Yes."

"We'll talk about that in a moment," Cat looked at Wanda and her gaze softened. "Hi."

The Scarlet Witch hugged her, and she whispered in her ear. "Ben's handsome."

Cat chuckled, she moved to look at her. "Are you sure about this?"

Wanda shrugged. "I won't stay here, but I can help you turn it into a proper compound... I also have the feeling you'll need my help with something else," the girl gave her a significant look.

They moved their conversation to the sitting area on the first floor, Cat was standing in front of her friends, and Parker was standing next to the doorway, leaning against it with his arms crossed and throwing nervous glances at the group.

"Thank you for coming, I guess... There are a few people we should call if they want to join, and we should see how the rooming's gonna work if you're planning to stay here permanently or only during meetings and before missions..." She glimpsed at Parker, and he nodded encouragingly. "I have some news."

"Let me guess," Harley looked up from his tablet and pointed at Parker over his shoulder. "You're leaving with him."

"No—" Parker began, and she spoke at the same time.

"—we're trying to come up with a way—"

"—this is her life, I can't expect her to—"

"Guys," Spider-man raised both hands to stop them. "No one's angry at you."

Cat looked around, it was true, no one seemed mad. In fact, everyone was acting as if they'd been expecting this for a long, long time. "Am I missing something?"

"A brain," Harley taunted her. Kate hit his arm.

"Well," Spidey continued bluntly. "We've been trying to tell you— we think it's a good idea if you leave this place."

Cat's confusion increased. "What?"

"You know when I asked if you liked Ben's universe?" Kurt explained. "Part of it was me trying to find a way to tell you I'd go, but I noticed there was something there that could be a solution to your problem."

"Cat, you're one of the best heroes in this world," Kate admitted. "That's why is almost impossible for you to get a good life. There's always going to be a bad guy or a threat that you have to take care of..."

"That's not the life you deserve," Spidey concluded. "We had a talk last night. We think living in a universe where no one will know what you are and what you can do, where is far less dangerous and quieter, it's perfect for you. You won't have to work all the time, even if you could."

"And that's why I'm here," Wanda smiled.

Cat frowned. "And how did they find you?"

"Kate told me about her," Kurt shrugged. "Wasn't hard. When I got there she knew who I was right away."

"He was in many of your memories," Wanda beamed. "I was excited to finally meet him," Cat had the feeling her friends had gotten along in more ways than one. "He asked me to come so I came."

"But why?" Cat insisted. "You almost died the last time you messed with the multiverse, why are you trying that again?"

"Because you don't exist in Ben's world. You could exist as you are now, and that might change the narrative, but if you lived there a whole month and nothing happened..."

"It might work," Harley tapped something onto his tablet. "I stayed up the whole night with Webs to come up with this, Wanda helped us. We think that the solution is to pull a Persephone."

"To pull..." Cat frowned. "You mean to divide my time between universes?"

"Well, it's fitting," Spider-man shrugged. "You train the recruits during the spring and summer, then live a normal life with Ben during autumn and winter."

"It's better than doing it all year, every day," Kurt nodded.

"And cooler," Spidey mused.

Cat looked at Parker. "You're uncharacteristically quiet."

The young man was fascinated by the conversation transpiring in front of him. "This is the craziest moment of my life, and that says a lot— but you're all sounding like this happens all the time..." he locked eyes with her. "If it sounds like it could work and you wanna try, I'm all in."

Cat looked at her friends. "What's your idea, exactly?"

"We put magic into that," Harley pointed at the beeper on Parker's wrist. "Wanda thinks she can make it so Ben's world doesn't get any worse. Instead of crawling through a rupture, she could build a door that opens and closes whenever you want."

"That sounds risky."

"If you're dumb and careless," Harley raised a brow. "But you're the most paranoid woman I know, I'm sure you'll take the necessary precautions."

A feeling of vindication washed over her, reassuring her. She'd picked the right people to work with. "Okay. Let's try that. Thank you."

"It's what friends are for," Spidey got up and pointed at Parker. "You come with us. Edith has to scan your beeper so she makes a new one for Cat."

"What about Cat?" Parker asked, walking towards his variant.

"Don't worry, pretty boy, she's just coming with me for a moment. Dad will be here any moment to pick me up," Kurt looked at Wanda and bowed briefly, his expression softening a bit. "Pleasure to meet you all..."

"When did you have time to do all the shit you did?" Cat frowned. "Brought Yelena and Wanda, called Rocket, packed your things..."

"I can be fast when I want to," he smirked.

"So fast you already got something going on with Wanda, huh?"

He laughed. "She's cute, but I'm going to space so..."

Cat patted his shoulder. "You can come sometimes, ask her on dates— she can astral project, you know?"

"Mimi?"

"What?"

"Mind your damn business," Kurt chortled.

Kate and Harley joined them, both as bummed out as Cat. Now the group would be incomplete most of the time, and they would have to get used to it.

"You have to call often," Kate demanded.

"You know, as weird as the circumstances are, I always knew you two would go to chase some bigger purpose in the end," Harley put an arm around Cat's shoulders and squeezed. "At least things are ending on a happy note."

"Not ending," Cat said. "Remember when I went to live in space? We'll come back, Kurt and I. But I won't kill people behind your back this time."

"I won't sleep with you as a farewell gift either," he grinned.

"Yuck," Kurt made a face. "It's gross how you two had stuff with Mimi— I don't see what the big deal is."

"Because you met me before I could master my charm. If we'd met as teens, you would've fallen straight into my trap."

"So there is a God."

"And he hates nerds and lesbians," Harley added humorously.

Her friends laughed, but the sound of a spacecraft silenced them. When the ship landed, the very distinct figures of a raccoon and a gigantic Groot came out from it.

"Took you long enough!" Kurt shouted. "Was there traffic in space or what?"

"Look who you're talking to like that!" Rocket pointed a sharp finger at him. "Need I remind ya you work for me?"

"I work with you."

Rocket stopped a couple of feet away and glanced at Cat. "And you?"

"And me what?" She grinned.

Rocket huffed and muttered to Groot. "You don't talk to your kids for a few months and suddenly you're not even worth a greeting— can you believe your siblings, Groot?"

"You're not my father, Rat."

"Come say that to my face!"

Cat got closer, but only to pull him up into a hug, she closed her eyes tightly and squeezed him. "You good?"

Rocket patted her back, he chuckled quietly. "All good, toddler. I might even be happy."

"You deserve it, Captain."

"I want a hug too!" Kurt sneaked his way in and embraced them both. "Ahh... this is nice!"

"If you ever need me, you know where to find me," Cat tilted her head up and kissed Kurt's temple.

"I love you so much," he squeezed her shoulders. "You guys are family."

"Your family's about to get bigger," Rocket informed him. "Come meet the New Guardians..."

"Say hi to Nebula," Cat leaned her head on Kurt's shoulder, giving him one last squeeze. "And have fun."

"You too," Kurt smiled. "Remember you have friends in space, and you're welcome to join if your thing with Ben doesn't work out."

"Who's Ben?"

"Her boyfriend."

"I thought she was dating a Matt!"

"That was years ago, you clueless Raccoon."

Rocket scoffed. "Mutants move on too quickly."

Cat chortled. "If only..."

Hi! For the ships ask, what are your thoughts on Demily and Temily?

Thanks for the ask! Time for [brutally honest] opinions:

Temily (Tara/Emily)

A SUPERIOR SHIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A+!!! GOLD STAR!! PERFECTION!!!! I love Jemily, but if I'm looking outside of my OT3 (Je T'Emily) and only comparing Jemily to Temily -- Temily wins. I love Temily for completely different reasons than Jemily. Tara and Emily have a matched complexity. They've both survived so much, fought to get to where they are, and I see Emily as being demisexual, while I see Tara as demiromantic, so they both want to get to know each other before sleeping together. (Although, they absolutely hooked up in 'Tribute', and I think that was a surprise to both of them for the above reasons!) They are such a soft ship. Like, these women have been to hell and back, they deserve a wholesome love, they deserve a simple romance without complications, they deserve to love and be loved in return. For that reason, Temily just makes sense.

They're both single, Tara is canonically pansexual (and demiromatnic, literally she talks about it in CME!!!!) and Emily is a fucking lesbian (fight me!). They're absolutely perfect together. I adore them.

Fun Fact: Way before we even knew Emily was coming back for an episode (Tribute), I looked at Tara Lewis in S10 and said 'She's gay and she should date Emily!' I was the first to use the tag #Temily on tumblr! I think this 2015 post is one of the first ones, and I think I also wrote the first Temily fanfic too. I have shipped them from before they even shared screentime and I will ship them forever and ever.

Demily (Derek/Emily)

My brOTP! I adored their friendship and dedication to each other. I def think if Emily slept with a dude, it'd be Derek. I could see them having a friends with benefits arrangement from time to time. But I don't necessarily ship them romantically. For me, Emily Prentiss is a lesbian, so to ship her with any man is sacrilegious.

Tag 9 people you want to get to know better. I was tagged by @hayffiebird I have never been tagged in anything before so this is exiting!

Three ships:

Hayffie: My obsession with this ship comes in waves every once in a while. It has taken over my life occasionally since 2012 I believe. This ship is my main ho and my side ho. I love it! There is something about the opposite attract bit that makes me so fascinated. Haymitch and Effie also make for some great fanfic material.

Steggy: It’s good to have a healthy and wholesome ship in the mix as well. I love the badass woman x badass but sensitive man mix. They are the cutest and they also save the world. They are genuinely nice people whom deserve a good life. I love both of the characters on their own and I love them together. Agent Carter’s TV show is just peng, and it is the bane of my life that is was cancelled.

Tomshiv: My latest shipwreck on the other hand… they are not good people, they are not good for each other and you could argue that they make the world a worse place… buuuutttt… they are adorable. Tom, Mr. Darcy himself, is a sensitive asshole, and Shiv is a broken duckling looking for love while making fun of anyone who dares try. Their fighting is Shakespearian and they are thus my favourite soon to be probably divorced couple. Also, I gotta say, the acting is just 👌🏼👌🏼

First ever ship:

Probably gotta say Hayffie here too. I had no idea about fanfics, fandom or Tumblr before that. I remember beeing like 12 years old and spending my entire family trip to France reading fics. As a child that didn’t find much interesse in reading, this was a huge change. Gotta say, I think it improved my English skulle as well.

Last song: Gooey by Glass Animals is a vibe. I realy enjoy listening to the entire album. It just flows, you know.

Last movie: I can barely remember the last movie I watched. I have just been watching series lately. Succession and Barry has got me hooked. I feel like it might have been The Day After Tomorrow though.

Currently reading: War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells

Currently watching: well well well, here’s the big one. SUCCESSION! And I can’t wait for the last two episodes to drop. To anyone considering watching it, I say go for it! It will have a proper ending and it is more about 3(4) sassy siblings and their cousin Greg, than it is about the logistics of running a Fortune 500 to the ground. Honestly, it’s such a great show. The acting, the filming, the writing and the characters are just superb. Powerful people acting like 5 year olds is just the best.

I am also watching the last season of Barry, another show that is really referring to watch. It is peak. I am also really happy that they are ending these great shows become the go stale, or before they are cancelled without a proper ending *cough* Westworld *cough* 1899.

Currently consuming: In about 5 min it will be a taco. 👌🏼

Currently craving: Fooood… I just got home from work and I am starving! Also, more Succession!

ship: it's crazy how few teenage ships from the gajillion teenage shows I've seen even come close to the sheer perfection of their energy. closest would be Scott and Allison from Teen Wolf, probably! EDIT: I am an idiot and the correct answer was obviously Scott and Kira.

a childhood friends AU! we'll make it so they only see each other in the summers so starting school together DOES change everything, but I love the "just like kindergarten" line so much that I think it would be fun to make it true. that singing together feels like when you met a kid and started playing together and suddenly were best friends, because that's what happened for them! and they're growing all the time but they never leave that behind.

I'm gonna throw them in the honorable mentions because they deserve it!!!!!

REY AND BEN

they are a ship of MOMENTS, aren't they?? I think my favorite, the one that took my breath away in theaters, is when their eyes meet in that last battle in tros and she sees him and she knows it's really him, knows that he's shed every mask he's ever worn and is looking at her with his own eyes!! both younger and older than he's ever been!!!! and he nods at her and that gives her the courage she needs! this connection that has been like a haunting is now a lifeline!!

I have absolutely no idea what to say here because there is a part of my brain that is absolutely refusing to give any ground in the reylo battles of late 2019 by even thinking the phrase fucked up when it comes to them, but also I feel like calling them wholesome might be a stretch? too bad, I'm going to!! because they've both got their issues and they hurt each other in deep ways but in the end they're honest with each other and they save each other!!!!!!! and isn't that what counts?

I love the idea of a Ben never goes dark AU in a million different ways, but especially when he's just not especially force-sensitive, not especially good at it, except that he has this deep force connection to this random scavenger out in the middle of nowhere who's really good with the force. despite this, Ben is Leia's favorite child and Rey is Han's favorite not-child.
